The drive to visit Zara's parents have taken longer than intended. They were supposed to arrive before midnight but they had two hours to go and it was well after that time. Traffic had been the cause of that. They had decided to stop at a motel for the night and travel early in the morning. She gingerly sat down on the bed and sighed, "It's not too bad. I mean it could be worse if you don't think about turning on a black light in the room," she joked to the other woman.

Best Singles of 2018 but it’s chill this year

This category should speak for itself but I just tacked so many amendments onto the description that it’s like... it just makes no fucking sense anymore. Technically this is a list for any single that was released this year or last year December (since I write these lists in December it’s easier for songs to slip under my radar so I sometimes count them for the next year, like the Grammy’s eh? But then sometimes I let a November 30th release date slide as well... or maybe the single was released earlier but the video would qualify or just... any dumb fucking reason. Also hey, I guess I’ll just straight up say it then, there’s no best covers, best collaborations OR best pop songs list either, I just kinda threw them all on here. With a good portion of this list being kpop I’d have to make a whole different kpop list too? No sir, no thank you, I’ll just dump it all on here especially since the past few years most of the pop songs list was already featured on the singles list so like... why make the extra effort? Zara was caught up in the kissing. She wanted to go further but she was so intoxicated by the other woman's lips. She laughed, gasping a little as Amy pulled away, "Right... well, are you going to help me with that?" she asked, smirking as she held onto her face and kissed her again.

The heat of the kiss, coupled with the warmth of Zara’s touch, pushed back the last traces of Amy's exhaustion. Her fingers tightened around Zara’s, pulling her closer, her hands finding to Zara’s hips as she deepened the kiss. “Well,” she murmured when they broke apart, before leaning in to whisper against Zara’s ear, “I don't think you stand any chance of distracting me whilst you're fully dressed.”

Zara smirked, suddenly not feeling as tired as before when she spotted the mischief in the woman's eyes, "I think we might be thinking the same thing," she said, leaning in to kiss the woman heatedly, hand on the back of her head to keep her close, "I would very much like to see the details of your ideas though," she added in a mumble against her lips.

Amy intertwined their fingers with a gentle squeeze, moving forward until her front was pressed against Zara's. "Sounds like a plan," she agreed, a small smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "But hey, for tonight, I'm sure we can make do." Amy's gaze met Zara's, a spark of mischief dancing in her tired eyes as she leans in closer. "We'll just have to find a way to…distract ourselves from the ambiance," she suggests, her tone teasingly suggestive as she raises an eyebrow playfully.

"It's not too bad," Zara said, "It will do for the night. Next time we go on a road trip, I'll make sure there's somewhere nicer to stay on the drive there," she added with another small laugh, reaching out her hands to the other in hopes that she'd take them and come closer, "Okay, I won't. Promise."

Amy sinks onto the motel bed with a weary sigh, feeling the strain of the extended drive. Her tired eyes flicker to Zara, the woman's presence offering some solace amidst the exhaustion. As Zara makes her joke about the room, Amy can't help but let out a snort of laughter. "Oh, god; you're not wrong there," she replies, a wry smile playing at the corners of her lips. "Let's just hope the mattress is more comfortable than it looks." She shoots a playful glance at Zara, her tone carrying a hint of playful sarcasm as she raises a warning finger in the other woman's direction. "Please don't make me think about all the things that might've happened in this bed."
