so the thing is I never intended for the zany fam to be like this au where bugs and daffy adopt the warners… it was more like, I was drawing them with this funny idea in my head that Warner Bros. wanted to repaint and repair the water tower for the 100th anniversary and so execs are like “fantastic. what are we gonna do with the warners in the meantime though. who on earth could handle them for such a long period of time” and they realize bugs is designed to win and handle any nuisance and so they make them bugs’ problem for the time being. He hates it, but he can’t say no (some kind of hidden clause in his old ass contract from the 30s). And because Daffy often visits for dinner, or vacations, or just to hang every now and then, he ends up being roped into the whole thing (see: Bugs comedically manipulates Daffy into it). So for a while when studio crew walk around the lot, they’ll see Bugs trying his best to deal with the warners until the water tower is restored and Daffy on most occasion tagging along for the ride. They almost look nuclear, go figure.

Honestly I’d love to see u write a fic with noir and his fam at the pool and it’s just pure chaos where his daughter is too scared to go in the water and peni is over here trying to show noir a bunch of tricks while he’s trying to get his daughter in the pool and the reader just watches this all go down 😭😭 (also I feel like peni is the type of kid to play mermaids in the pool)

"peni! please don't splash at us!" peter called out as peni practiced her kicks in the water as she tried to swim. she tried to tell peter splashing is necessary in pools, with peter explaining to her how it's really not as he tried to calm your daughter down as she cried about getting into the water. "it's super important to make big splashes in pools though! you believe me, right, mx. parker?" peni asked you as she tried to get someone to agree with her.

you chuckled as you watched from your pool lounge chair this whole chaos unfold. "well, peni, um... it depends." you said as you went back to reading your book, with peni pouting at you. "i bet ham agrees with me, doncha ham?" she asked the spider pig mutant as he ate a hotdog cartoonishly from the sides. "it's only necessary if you'll do it like this!" he said as he took off his bright yellow and pink hawaiian floral shirt and jumped, somersaulted in the air, and shouted a 'geronimo!' and landed into the water, splashing all of you in the process.

"ham!" peter and peni called out to him as your daughter cried and made a fuss about getting wet. peter shushed and tried to calm her down as peni and ham soon tried to entertain the baby and get peter's attention as they started to do dives in the water, splashing the father and daughter even more. peter chuckled as his daughter soon watched you and peni bring out a big mermaid tail pool float. she soon made grabby hands at it, and peni swam over to her with it. "you wanna swim with it?" she asked her adoptive sister as she nodded.

peter placed his daughter on it with peni holding on to her as she swam from the pools' ends, with peter and ham sharing a beer by the side as you watched your two daughters play together. truly, it was a slow day, but a memorable and wonderful one as a family, a pretty zany an chaotic one, at that.

Imagine this: a serene space park, a bunch of happy pets, and then there’s Sparky, turning gravity into its own personal plaything. Me? I ended up floating upside-down (thanks, Sparky!), while the other pets decided it was the perfect time to start their own orbit around us. It was like a mini solar system, but with more fur and wagging tails! 😂

Long story short, being disbanded didn’t last long. You numbskulls missed us and we missed you. Team Skull is a family yo!

So since our poor Shady House just sat empty in our brief absence, we decided to slap a few dozen new coats of paint on it and move back in! And with Aether outta our hair, we can leave all that crap behind us and get back to our regularly scheduled chaos. No more wormholes and interdemensional horrors, just good old, family-friendly, petty crime.

GENERAL INFO AND BLOG CANON:

This blog acts as the in-universe "official" page for Team Skull. It's run by Calla, who is considered the "head grunt" of the team. While it's supposed to be run as an official update account, she often uses it as a personal blog. More info on Calla can be found here and here.

While this blog is mostly gen, it's definitely more on the pg-13 side. Given the nature of Team Skull, there will be swearing, adult humor, and innuendo. If this makes you uncomfortable, feel free to block, I promise I won't get offended!

In the history for this blog, Team Skull reassembled about a year or so after disbanding, this time without any influence from Aether. They're back to just being a gang of goofy hooligans.

Should also note that this will more or less follow Sun and Moon's canon. I didn't particularly care for a lot of the plot changes in USUM, especially regarding Lusamine’s arc, so I'll be disregarding most of them.

While anyone is welcome to interact, I generally prefer other human characters over sentient pokemon. This blog follows the canon that pokemon are only slightly more sapient than real life animals, and Calla will assume most pokemon-run blogs are just people role-playing, and she's just playing along. (Whoa, meta!)

The above rule also applies to canon characters from other franchises/series.

Pelipper Mail is open and will be treated as if it was actually delivered via Pelipper (or other flying Pokemon)

RULES AND BOUNDARIES:

This blog is generally LOW-STAKES. While Calla may occasionally make commentary on higher-stakes events, please do not attempt to rope me into high-stakes scenarios without discussing it first. Absolutely no ultra/death-stakes. While mentions of death are fine and expected (such as in a backstory or in reference to agriculture/Pokemon as food) I prefer not to participate in it directly. I'm mainly using this blog for goofy fun-times, so please be considerate.

If you OR your character are a minor, absolutely NO flirty/romantic interactions. Friendly interactions and banter are fine and encouraged, but both me and my character are full-grown adults. This is a hard line to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.

This one isn't a hard boundary, but I tend not to lean too far into things like fallers/alternate realities, Pokemon-human hybrids, etc.

☆ Overall, this blog's canon tends to be more on the realistic side. I started this blog because I loved the idea started by @/realpokemon of combining the whimsical Pokemon world with the mundane-ness of the real world, and the challenge of balancing the two. While a lot of blogs in the community lean into the more zany and fantastical side of Pokemon, I just personally prefer keeping things more in line with the mainline games but with a touch of realism more akin to the real world.

On Y/N Fanfiction

so like as somebody who is still pretty new to the realm of fanfiction writing i decided to return to it by tackling a Y/N fic and doing so was honestly a very illuminating and rewarding writing experience if only because it shed a ton of light on the common issues with this form of fanfiction

as an academic thespian, interactive media and fiction has always fascinated me and Y/N fanfiction represents such a unique blending of elements that i honestly think some of the avant-garde playwrights would find very interesting. because like. okay. what is the goal of a Y/N fic? immersion and wish fulfillment, right? all fanfic is wish fulfillment somehow but then so is most art in general but that's neither here nor there - the fact one is meant to insert their actual name or a name of an OC makes it a unique level of collaboration between the writer and their audience.

and the general issue i find with many Y/N fics is that they simply do not capitalize on what makes Y/N fics potentially very engaging. the potential for meta commentary is boundless, yet if it's ever done, it's ham-fisted and very "winks at the audience" ish.

i find that the Y/N fics I respond best to often take what I call the Video Game Approach - the reader is viewing the world through a character's eyes of their own design, but video games are still built around certain concrete facts or assumptions that the player character would have. the biggest thing is that video game PC's are established in their setting, and have reasons to be there, which many Y/N fics simply lack.

thus, the challenge becomes, how can someone create an experience in a fic that is grounded enough to match the energy of an average person being part of the story they're inserted into (assuming that's what the reader and writer wants), while still fitting the scenario?

for my part, though she is no longer a Y/N character (there are meta commentary reasons for this that will become apparent as my current fic, Lesions of a Different Kind continues but shush, spoilers), in the Y/N fic I wrote for Hellsing, I opted to make the POV character a regular-ass Hellsing trooper. the reason being, this gives the rest of the cast a reason to be familiar with and have some modicum of care and respect for the reader insert character, while still decidedly grounding us in reality by having her be a grown-ass adult with her own opinions, agency, motivations and worries that a reasonable (if zany/neurodivergent) grown human woman might grapple with in a "supernatural paramilitary agency" setting. she's capable of fighting and holding her own just as anyone might - to take a page from the Halo Combat Evolved manual where they describe the Marines, "they're the best of the best of the best - but they're only human." she's used to her job fighting the undead, but it never stops being unnerving and "what the fuck is my job, dude, like, actually" - which I think any sane adult would question nonstop in a setting like this. I drew from the Wild Geese for inspiration, big time, and wondered what it would be like if one of them was followed more closely besides Pip as comic relief, etc.

That, I think, produced an interesting effect. I'd still like to fiddle around with Y/N fic more in the future and see what someone can do with it when you really put your nose to the grindstone and try to create something off the beaten path, because that's where i think the magic lies.

IDK fam my adderall kicked in for the day and i'm procrastinating studying for a work exam i just had to vomit this forth make of it what you will, i'm just a mad rambling scholar muttering to herself in the corner of a theatre building.

What Kind of Humor Can You Expect From the Gotham Rogues?

I’ve always liked the idea that if asked who the ‘funny one’ is, the Rogues would pretty much say anyone except Joker; like maybe sometimes they find Eddie’s riddles funny when they’re cleverly crafted, or that Harley’s zany antics are more likely to get a laugh out of them. I started thinking a bit more in depth about the humor of the ‘non-humorous’ Rogues, and came up with some ideas about what to expect from them -

Nygma - puns. The kind that often depends on esoteric knowledge and for the most part he has to explain...but every so often someone will understand the reference and can’t resist grinning.

Crane - anecdotes. Doesn’t realize that he’s even being funny, just relating stories from his home state or from med school, doesn’t quite get why people lose it hearing them but enjoys the attention.

Penguin - very old school, ‘Churchill’ humor - (example: “If you were my husband I’d put poison in your coffee!” “And if you were my wife, I’d drink it!”). Tries to refrain from letting it get TOO old school, but even in most cases people will laugh.

Freeze - deadpan, “wait did he just make a joke…?” type stuff, not exactly side-splitting humor but it does solicit a laugh from most people on account of such a tragic figure unexpectedly saying something funny.

Two-Face - dad jokes, for the most part. You want to laugh because of the ridiculousness of the situation, here’s this big scary guy threatening to blow up two of the most populated hospitals in Gotham, and he makes a joke about “and if you think that’s bad, wait till you get the bill!”

Catwoman - VERY raunchy humor, often enjoys adding “sounds like my typical Saturday night” after another Rogue describes their latest torture device. The kind of thing where you can’t help but stop and wonder “is she joking or did she really do that…?”. Often has to be reminded to reel it in whenever she’s around younger members of the Bat-fam.

Ivy - not too big on humor, but her dry sarcasm has its moments - every so often someone will remember the time she told Batman, “Gee, why would a mega-corporation with a history of EPA violations have someone killed, I can’t think why...” and it brings a smile to their face.

Clayface - often acts like he’s above such amusements, but you can rely on him busting out his dead-on impressions of popular figures once a Rogue-party has reached a certain point.

How would the Warner’s react to having a friend that’s a child star around their age who is shy and has bad anxiety due to their over controlling parents but loves to go on zany adventures with them?

*cracks knuckles* Well let's see...

Reminder: This is completely platonic and just pure fluff. Reader is gender-neutral and not species specific

Okay let’s start from the beginning, how you guys met

You enjoyed performing in front of your family, singing, recreating scenes from movies or cartoons you liked, but in front of your family only, since you were really insecure and shy. Your parents back then were really encouraging and supportive, and thanks to that you were able to take part in school plays… and that’s how your “career” started!

And before you knew it, your parents became your legitimate managers, you moved from town to town, getting roles after roles, losing touch with your friends, becoming famous while many agencies started looking for you.

That’s how you found yourself in Burbank, California. Well guess what, you have a contract with Warner Bros. now. 

And as you were standing in the set, the spotlight shining down at you, many people watching, after months of repeatedly telling your mom and dad that you didn’t want any of this, you felt your anxieties get the better of you

You love acting, you really do, but this was too much

You started shaking and breathing heavily, not hearing your parents yelling your name. You felt dizzy and your heart was beating incredibly fast. It was so much, everything was too much and you just wanted to leave, but you couldn’t move at all.

AND THAT’S WHEN the Warner’s literally crashed the shooting

Needless to say, they kinda managed to drag you away by accident because of their shenanigans. And you had to realize that for the first time in forever, you had fun.

Surprise, surprise! The zany puppy children instantly liked you and wanted to be friends with you. (They really don’t interact with kids their age, huh) and the rest is history!!

Together: 

They. Adore. You.

They don’t really interact with kids their age and adults always just shoo them away, so they just gonna be ecstatic about having somebody around who actually likes them

You are a child star? They think it’s so cool! You made a contract with Warner Bros. and plan on staying too? Poggers!!

Will follow you around in the beginning of your friendship. It’s either because they want to help, guide, protect or just hang out with you 24/7

“Excuse you, sir. I’m Y/n’s manager, I have all the rights to be here.” Dot would tell the director when the filming crew tried to send them away for the first time. “I’m their coach, it’s only given that I’m staying too.” Yakko added, draping his arm over your shoulder while grinning smugly at the director. Wakko just clings to your leg, not letting go

They’re basically your emotional support, and nobody has the guts to mess with them at this point

(They will legit ask for advice from Scratchy when it comes to your anxiety. These kids are so worried about you and just want to help ;-;)

So protective of you, not just because you are shy. You are their first real friend, and they would do anything for you

After some time you became more and more confident thanks to them, and a lot of producers noticed that too. A lot of people found you guys’ interactions adorable and marketable. The possibility of performing together with you in future installments make them so excited

They don’t like your parents, not even a bit, but they can’t really do anything too risky about this situation. What if they go too far with their pranks and your parents decide on leaving, taking you away as well? So they’re careful, but still messing with them. Passive aggressive bantering most of the time, just to intimidate them

But bold of you to assume they didn’t adopt you already. You are part of the fam now

They are just so sweet and supportive, bless them

Adventures and causing trouble with them in your free time, it’s the perfect bonding experience

Wakko:

This boy is low-key your biggest fan

Hell, you are his second favorite actor now (Sorry, nobody beats Don Knotts)

Would definitely accompany you to your shoots, cheering you on from the sidelines

Often visits you at breaks just to eat lunch together with you or to give you some comfort

He thinks your shyness is cute and just loves to chill with you in the backside while Yakko and Dot handles the “interaction with new people” business

Will gladly teach you how to play the piano, the drums and the violin

Really protective of you, will literally become your bodyguard, especially after hearing how your parents are 

Will cuddle and watch some movies with you after a hard day. (Marathoning your movies/shows on the weekends? Absolutely, you can’t run from that one)

He’s just all around so excited for you, will always ask about your day and listen attentively 

Once you get your free time, you better believe he will just take you by the hand, get Yakko and Dot, and all four of you ready to go, off to cause some mischief

This good puppy loves you so much. He just wants to spend more time with you while also wants to support you to reach your dreams

"You are so cool, Y/n! Can I have your autograph?" "Only if I can have yours" "Deal!"

Dot:

She respects you so much, let me tell you

Admires how hardworking and patient you are. She knows that she wouldn’t be able to handle people like your parents or a really uptight director the way you do 

Someone says anything negative about you, they will be destroyed before they can finish their sentence

Binged watched all of your movies, knew about you before you actually met

She finds your shyness adorable, but would also try her best to help you break out of your shell and boost your confidence

After finding out how your parents mistreat you? Let’s just say… she made some adjustments about your contract 

She’s now your unofficial manager and lawyer. “Don’t worry about it, hun! Just leave it all to me.”

Will absolutely scold you if you don’t take care of yourself

Will also prep you, do your makeup and hair, help you choosing you outfits when she comes along to your shoots

Whenever she sees news about you on the internet or gets a glimpse of you on TV she’s like “You are doing amazing sweetie”

She loves how much livelier you get when you go on adventures with them. It just shows how genuinely happy and goofy you are when you spend time together  

Yakko:

Oh… Ohohoho, this guy, while not outright showing it, he is so glad to have you

We all know that he’s the biggest theater kid and drama queen there is. He also likes to perform, so now he finally has someone he can nerd out with (about musicals? theater? yes)

Just imagine him helping you with rehearsals, practicing your scripts, giving you vocal and dancing lessons and so much more

Would definitely love to be featured in movies with you and his siblings (or anything, really)

Loves how shy you are, would 100% tease you and compliment you a lot just to see your reactions, but also does his best to encourage you

When it comes to your parents, he’s really thinking about confronting them

On one hand: They are controlling jerks, but on the other hand: They are still YOUR parents

When you have told him about your anxiety his big brother instincts activated, but he also feels you. Even tho your fears are different from his, he tries his best to comfort you *by experience*. Frequently checks up on you during your shoots, and after you are finished he makes sure that you feel relaxed  

Shenanigans around the movie lot, but will show you around Burbank with Wakko and Dot too

He’s so proud of you. Expect a lot of praises and compliments

- Eponine and Enjolras know that individually, they can take on most verbal or physical spats with other people. That being said, Eponine is most protective of Enjolras when someone strikes a nerve where it hurts (principles, unresolved ptsd, their very weird family + extended fam of Amis). Enjolras never wants to see Eponine get hurt on his account/during his zany schemes. It makes him try to plan to put her out of harm's way as much as possible, but it doesn't always work.

- Grow old together, raise the kids right, do something awesome for France, and see more of Europe (hopefully without getting run out of town this time).

SEWING SPIDERS Spiderverse headcanon: All of the spidefam are, on varying levels, (somewhat) competent at sewing and other needle arts for multiple reasons.

Peter B, Gwen and Noir are the best in terms of actual skill.

Peter B and Noir learned from their respective Aunt May's as a way to stretch out the wear and tear of their clothes, since they didn't always have money for new ones. Between that and the time they spent sewing their costumes back together, they became pretty good at it.

Noir uses it as a reflective, relaxing activity when he can't sleep or the nightmares keep him awake. Because of this, he has the most patience when it comes to hand sewing even if it's larger projects or when dealing with an endless amount of small stitches. He is also surprisingly good at embroidery, and has made many patches for the Fam to stick to their jackets and bags. They all come out gorgeously detailed and monochromatic, but once the Fam gives him other colors and he has them all labelled and sorted (they know better than to mess with the labels) Noir occasionally asks them for help on color theory and what colors look good together.

Peter B is decently competent at sewing and fixing hem lines, waist lines, and holes. His aunt May was also a master knitter, so he has borderline medium level skill there, and can make a mean scarf or blanket if he really gets going. He has tried to use a loom before, but finds it too bulky and his rows often have large gaps because the struggles with yarn tension.

Gwen is by far, the best out of them. Not just because she can fix things, but because she can make them. Gwen has dipped her interests into many aesthetics ranging from punk, rock, vintage, pastel, or the softer looks based off of ballet and lyrical dance. She has made, and worn, a corset a time or two. She also isn't afraid to rip her clothes up and patchwork them together to see what she gets if she likes it enough, and has a good eye for diy stuff. She can make pretty rockin' circle skirts and blouses, and is the only other one besides Noir and Ham who knows how to take measurements and what they mean. She also legitimately sketches out her ideas and has a mannequin bust for her projects, and can use a sewing machine even on thinner slippier fabrics. She has a lot of talent for sewing and clothes making, on the flip side she has very LITTLE talent for things like knitting and embroidery and has rage quit them more than once.

Ham is exactly in the middle of them all in terms of skill. He can do the basics pretty well, knows how to keep his stitches lined up and even, can take measurements, and is better at short bits of hand stitching. His own skill is more for fixing holes and hemlines more than anything else, although he occasionally struggles with the learning curve of human bodies when it comes to the Fams' clothes because he is, in fact, a pig. And humans and pigs don't share a lot in terms of physical features. The Fam sometimes wonders WHY Ham needs to know how to sew, but since they're not sure about Zany Cartoon Logic when it comes to clothing they decide not to ask.

Miles is not necessarily GOOD at sewing, but he IS learning and getting better with practice. Apparently sewing your own costume is par for the course when you have a secret spider identity. He learned sewing from his mother, but the Aunt May of his dimension is also willing to help and a very tired miles is grateful. He still wants to do it on his own thought cause he feels guilty, which leads to several poked fingertips and sore hands and somehow getting wrapped up in the measuring tape while his mother laughs and scolds him for his lack of patience. His stitches are a little large and not spaced very well but he's getting there.

And while Miles can't sew very well, him and Gwen get along fabulously because Miles can diy pattern layouts in his head, dye/dip dye/acid wash/paint fabric pretty well. He actually learned it initially from both his father and uncle Aaron. He can use fabric glue and sealant pretty well, and can use acrylics and tea and coffee for cosplay style costume aging. While he's better at drawing, his dad taught him pastel dying with stuff like kool-aid, and how to properly iron patches onto his jackets and backpack. His uncle Aaron would always help little Miles out around Halloween time, and Miles learned things like placement, making texture, and making shadows and highlights with things like fabric paint and hairspray for costumes.

Peni is generally the worst of them in terms of sewing. Partially because she has no interest in it, and partially because her interests in science and technology tends to bleed into her other interests. As in, she's the kind of person who would rather make a Lazer scanner to get your measurements because it's more accurate and time effective versus doing it by hand. She CAN hand sew, kinda, but finds doing it on clothes time-consuming and frustrating. Being from the future, when she does feel like doing cosplay or fixing things, prefers to use her tech because she loves to see how accurately she can recreate things. She introduced the other spiders to characters she cosplays, that have futuristic designs or weapons, that Peni likes to recreate just to challenge herself. If she has to get something done to her clothes beyond her own skill, she prefers to be an informed consumer and look up local businesses to support that can fix her clothes, or where she can buy bolts of fabric that are no longer being mass used (deadstock) so they won't go to waste for Gwen and miles.

That being said, she CAN sew. Kinda. She often goes to Noir for help learning how to do it by hand since he is surprisingly patient with her, compared to an amused Gwen smacking Miles in the head when he doesn't listen. and Peni believes in being fashionable AND functional. She doesn't always have the time or interest for full length projects like Gwen or Miles, but her hand stitching is getting better with practice. Her interests lies more with accessories and decorative designs. She has begun practice on stitching ribbons and bows made of silk, or hair pins, belts, and patches made of fabric flowers/leaves and faux gems and pearls. She has even made the odd plush toy and doll. Noir has been teaching her basic embroidery, and she sometimes helps Gwen and Miles pick accent colors and textures for whatever they're making.

All in all, it's another weird little thing they all have vaguely in common. Ham snickers and jokes that they're Spiders, of course they can stitch stuff together cause that's what they do. But it is nice, having something they can all bond over like this. On good days when they can all hop over to someone's dimension and just need to relax and get things done, every inch of the room will be covered in needles, threads and fabrics of various colors.

Sometimes it's a Learning Day. Noir, Gwen, and Peter B help teach hand stitching, while Peni and Gwen drag Ham along with them to learn. Ham wants Gwen to teach him how to cut, measure, and drape fabric, because just like in the human world, in Ham's world there is a struggle to find clothes that fit certain looks and body types and he would like clothes that FIT please and thank you. He will also help Miles with his hand stitching when the others are busy, and is surprisingly good at distracting Miles long enough that he doesn't get bored when sewing. Noir teaches Peni ladder stitching to fix her plushies, and how to bind and cut fabric edges so she can stitch her silk belts and ribbons in clean lines. Peni shows Noir pictures of different tree and leaf designs, and helps describe the colors to Noir while he copies the unfamiliar shapes onto fabric with markers so he can practice the designs. Peter B teaches Gwen to find the rhythm of her knitting, and how to count time and stitches and rows with songs under her breath. Miles Shows Peni and Noir how to stick patches/ribbons/cloth to bags and clothes, what fabrics work with certain fabric glue, and whether something should be ironed on or sewn on (in which they turn to Noir for help).

Other times it is a Work Day, fun and relaxed but full of concentration. Gwen and Miles will be hunched over her sketchbook, bickering about draping and texture, what colors and patterns work best with what fabrics and what pieces should be layered together, occasionally asking for Peni's thoughts about what spots need something eye catching. Peni will be sitting next to Noir, hunched over with her tongue sticking out of her mouth, small quick hands working stitches into a plush toy or doll dress, or if the kids are working on something together, occasionally silk ribbons or belts with colorful glass beads, or a fabric flower hair piece. Noir is almost always next to her, half-watching her lines and guiding her softly when she gets frustrated, his own fabric pulled tight in his embroidery hoop and thread looping into something beautiful. Ham sits across from Gwen, grumbling as he fixes the holes in his work shirts and pants, and occasionally having Gwen help him redesign something that just doesn't fit right because he is working on a reporters salary and can't afford to waste it on clothes that aren't built for him. Peter B winces in empathy because he has BEEN there, and hums as he counts rows for the scarves and blankets that will help the others survive a New York Christmas. Occasionally, if Gwen is busy, Miles asks for Peter B to help him stitch his costume together, and amid bickering and exaggerated groans of death by boredom Miles feels a little proud of his stitches, neater and more precise than anything he has done so far.

September 23rd is the Festival of Mind!

If you follow as a practitioner of Pop Culture Paganism, a user of Homestuck inspired Chaos Magic, or just want to use your favorite series to inspire you throughout the year, Skaia Temple is your resource center!

Whether you want to just celebrate it on the day, use it as a date for empowered energy, integrate it into your more mundane celebrations, or just appreciate your favorite characters and concepts this month, we have suggestions for whatever path you want to take with us!

Aspect Centered Celebrate the Aspect in all its glory if you’re all about on celebrating the Festivals for exactly what they represent: The Aspect and all the traits associated with it.

“When a Mind-bound finally launches into action, they can execute a plan with unbelievable grace and precision. Their identity is fluid- it can change from day-to-day, from thought-to-thought, from interaction-to-interaction.”

Mind is about logic, facts, and the outward reality. While Heart is about the inward issues, as intangible as they be, Mind is about the outward. If Space is about recycling and compensation, Mind is about the reality of what we have. We may have spend the season of Space peacefully doing everything we could with what we had, and with Mind we are to use what we have to do what we Must.

Law and organization would be the subject for now, spend the season with official business as the Northern Hemisphere tends to get colder. Though this needn’t be taken literally- it would be best to focus on your own definition of justice, more then anything else.

On the more relaxed side, you could simply take up a study of something relevant to your life and future. Something you’re lacking in that could prove useful.

This month is for focus.

Magical Inspiration If you want to use Homestuck concepts more abstractly and need some ideas for what brands of magic would work best for the season, if you have an Aspect or character-themed spell, feel free to send it in so it can be added to this section!

Studying and reading testimonies might be the most appropriate way to celebrate this season. If you can’t help yourself, look into some mental wards and empathic shielding techniques to keep yourself calm and collected to do what needs be done.

Integration Route For people in the broom closet who are too timid or anxious to celebrate the Festivals openly- you can always integrate the Aspects traits to fit in with the more common trends and holidays of the month. Not even Hussie is is Homestuck God, no one will mind!

Fall and Mabon is a good time to be calming down and being more practical for the next bit of the year. And there’s absolutely nothing anyone can complain about new studies. Sims 2s Seasons expansion pack gives a boost to skill building in Fall, what’s more convincing than that???

Fandom Driven For if you’re not all about spirituality or routine and just want to enjoy going all-out with a beloved story & characters, you can honor the ones of this month by driving full-throttle on the fandom bandwagon.

The Mind Aspect belongs to the Pyropes, women of justice and the righteous (lawfully and otherwise). Spastic, gung-ho dames whose determination and perseverance carry them through and up the ranks to a special sort of legendary. Their only faults being the internal struggles of what justice truly means for them and the difficulty in accomplishing it amongst dangerous games of both political and apocalyptic standards. Nevertheless they keep their eyes (…..) on the prize and once they found their focus let nothing get in their way from accomplishing it for themselves. Also they’re zany and badass and Best Fam.
