Oh yes. It's that familiar smell- that one smell that usually is around when a certain white haired paladin's cooking- or done, at the moment. A light hum breaks the silence as Syabelth walks over- two plates in his hands and forks held between fingers. " 's been a while so.. 'ere." He gave Zaltys a gentle smile as he handed one of the plates over.

She regarded him quite warmly when she saw him approach, waving him over with a smile. “Oh, it has been a while indeed, Sy!”

The disguised dragon’s eyes widened when her nose caught a whiff of very familiar cooking, pupils dilating sharply with interest even in her more human shape.

“Is this to be a picnic then?” Zaltys smiled as she took the plate he handed her and waited for him to sit. She sniffed thoughtfully. “A new recipe? The scent is… a tad different than the usual blend of spices you use.” 

Her tail swayed behind her as she speared a portion upon her fork and took a bite; and it swayed much faster as she chewed and swallowed. She turned to him again, absolutely beaming. This here was a very happy dragon, for what could be more enjoyable than sharing a delicious meal with a dear one?

“What a splendid flavor! You simply must let me know when you try this blend of ingredients with other meats sometime, I cannot help but wonder if it would pair well with fish…!”

Gosh, I think we started shipping them… kinda soon after we met? I’m bad at remembering exact times, aha. Though I usually start ‘shipping’ characters as friends before anything else, I’m trash so I entertained thoughts of a full on ship before we officially started, I think. (You know the kind of trash I am for ships)

my thoughts:

I adore them. Syabelth is such an interesting and fun character to interact with, in all his verses. And regardless of the nature of the ship, I love how honest and frank they can be with eachother quite a bit.

What makes me happy about them:

Everything. No, really. They’re honestly an absolute joy to think about together, romantically or platonically. Even in just their main sort of ship/verse, they’re both friends and allies who trust eachother and act upon equal ground, side by side but in different ways. I also especially love the tidbit that they both treat the other like a person. Zaltys appreciates Syabelth for himself, not because he’s the WoL; and Syabelth in turn appreciates Zaltys for who she is rather than what she is. Also the headcanons we’ve shared about their scars. ;w; Good shit right there.

What makes me sad about them:

All the bad ends we’ve thought up for them. That and the issue of death and one outliving the other. But mostly the bad end scenarios.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

I’m one of those people who does get invested in people’s other ships, so if the chemistry and dynamic are there, I’m all for it! xD

My happily ever after for them:

They both live together a nice long while and they both find peace and happiness for as long as time allows. I’m a sappy individual who likes happy (or at least mostly happy) endings, okay.

who is the big spoon/little spoon:

This was probably answered a while ago but Zal is usually the little spoon to Sy’s big spoon, unless she’s in her true form. I mean, if she tries to be the big spoon in human form she’d wind up as more of a jetpack because he’s tall, haha.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity:

I really love the idea of them forging stuff together. Zaltys kind of makes a habit of bringing him rare and precious metals and materials anyway. And undoubtedly they could develop new forging techniques making use of her unique sort of dragonflame and aether.

Zaltys is a very curious individual with a near-insatiable appetite for knowledge, so when it comes to exploring and experiencing new things, she most certainly lives by the ‘seize the day’ addage. Of course, being immortal, she has ample time to 

Describe what they would do if they knew they only had another 24 hours to live.

This probably depends on the verse. Independent of ships, she would say her goodbyes to those she cares for, firstly. She also would have found somewhere quiet to pass on, likely a place like Mourn or even so far as winging her way to her ravaged homeland to die upon the soil she hatched on.

With regards to her ships, she would want to spend her last day with her love, nothing else would matter more to her. 

Depending on the person, she might even give her eyes to them, wishing to remain at their side even in some small way once she has passed.

female au ra are luckily one of the few who can wear the ears well, but unless you have a fluffy hairstyle theres a space between them and your character’s head. This, coupled with the severe lack of planning and placement on hyur and other human-ear having characters is pretty vexing. But as far as silly halloween outfits are concerned, I rather like it. ESPECIALLY the little toe beans we get on the paw feet :>
