so distraught by the end of novus i wrote about dyvim and zaltanna finding out that the wizard is now public enemy #1 across the spiral. now on A03!

comes with: dyvim and zaltanna bonding time, some very surface level spiral politics you shouldn't read too much into, sprinkles of dyvwiz/etc. and a marlebonian wanted poster!

i humbly present chapter 1/5 of i am going to fix everything, a dyvwiz fic set between karamelle and lemuria that chronicles the 24hrs during which a festival celebrating morganthe's defeat takes place... now on A03!

chapter 1 comes with: the wizard/zaltanna reunion we never got, an update on the dragonflies we hatched in tyrian gorge, musings on feeling guilty for taking a break from your work, and the wizard not knowing how to gossip!

khrysalis crew!! + orientations ♡

The thing is there's the prophecy Morganthe shares with us at the start of Celestia, where she went to learn Astral Magic, and in a Khrysalis side quest, it's later revealed that Grandfather Spider was the one to speak the prophecy.

It's quite detailed about some of the history of Spider and Raven, but also predicts his freedom. The thing is, he's vague enough about what will happen that it can apply to Morganthe or the wizard.

The mirror will break -Mirror Lake opening up or Zaltanna Mirrormask betraying Morgathe? The horn will call - The Horn of Hurican or the horn we play to summon the Great Beast to travel the Starfall Sea? From the Shadows I strike - Both Morganthe and the Wizard have learned shadow Magics And the sky will fall - Morganthe casting the Radiant Alcazar into the starfall sea? Her raining Xibalba onto Azteca? OR was it when she fell through the floor when trying to master the song of creation? That is the part Morganthe has and believe relevant to her, but there's a lot more, but not all of it can apply to us. Here is it in it's entirety.

> Sky and Land are danced as one, round the tree of magic’s shade, a thousand years, a thousand more, memories of love and fury fade. > Raven and Spider played across Sky, and battled throughout the Land. Spider fell into the deepest hole, locked away by Raven’s hand. > Spider roared and thrashed against the heavens, and finally fell into a sleep. His dreams made twisting Shadow things, sowing chaos to one day reap. > The Candle flickers across the Night. A Child sailing the Shadow Sea. The Spiral bends, and twists, and whirls, bringing the Chosen back to me. > The Mirror will break…the Horn will call. From the Shadows I strike, and the skies…will fall! > The Shadow Web hums and stretches beyond the stars, touching all the Spiral with Spider’s welcoming arms.

This prophecy does go further into drawing parallels between the wizard and Morganthe, but I'll let someone else answer those. There's a lot of people that have taken their crack at deciphering it, even back when it was fresh.

Thinking of Wizard101 again and how the only difference between Morganthe being groomed into a weapon powerful enough to end existence and The Wizard being groomed into essentially the same thing but under a different alignment is the people/forces doing the grooming. It really makes you wonder just what the hell would have happened if Merle hadn't cast Morganthe out and had instead tried to rehabilitate her when she was still young. Not saying the outcome would have been better, hell it could have been far far worse, but still... something I think about.

Now that I’ve finished Khrysalis I can finally state a very controversial opinion:

Zaltanna >>>>>> Dyvim

What NPCs (other than Dyvim love him tho) do you think have really good voice acting?

Well since Dyvim’s VA (JM Specht) publicly went on KI live, he’s also done Bantam and some other NPCs, and that’s really cool!

As for characters not voiced by JM, here are a couple of favorites in terms of voice acting.
