The Technomancer

Sigh. Been replaying Final Fantasy XV and hearing Prompto’s voice actor (Robbie Daymond) I felt the urge to revisit The Technomancer. I just can’t get enough of Zachariah and Andrew!

Was thinking about Zachariah accidentally calling Sean dad during the farewell scene in chapter one and I want to DIE like he just turns around and calls out and he means to say “Sean” but it just, slips out and they both freeze and Sean just turns around with this heartbroken smile on his face and just,, “I’m so proud of you Zachariah. Goodbye, son” and FUCK MAN IM MAKING MYSELF CRY

what to expect from THE TECHNOMANCER

Sci fi futuristic action rpg, dystopian society on Mars

You play as Zachariah Mancer and you’re a cop, but no worries, you’ll be a rebel cop soon enough

Sci fi discrimination against the mutant humans

The rpg part is mostly in which quests you finish, minimum dialogue, combat choices

Combat is very repetitive, you mostly use three different styles and weapons (and you can put stat points in them)

enemies spawn back ridiculously fast

You recruit a party of characters. Travelling in the ship has party banter

Each character companion has their own backstory and quest and dialogue

Everyone is fully voiced, Zachariah as well

Fight the system! But you don’t kill anyone! (you just make your enemies unconscious)

Four main areas on the planet

Sort of found family trope

You can romance n Andrew, Amelia or Neisha. The romance is unlocked towards the end and mainly consists in a scene and some dialogue

A bit of a rushed ending

plot? Zachariah runs from the law! But there is no sneaking in the game gameplay? classic rpg, a lot of dialogues and choices characters? the best part of the game are the companions sadness level? low happy ending? deaths? under cut for spoilers

Only one ending, if I remember correctly, and it’s a sort of meh ending but nothing tragic.

I got technomancer recently for three or four dollars and figured it was worth the price even if I didn't know much about it. Turned out to be a good choice and I'm liking the game so far.

I've been struggling over which outfits to pick for him because I didn't realize the metal arms were part of his jacket and not his actual arms but I also like the jacket I put on him and I can't have both I guess.
