hiii sorry for the ask out of literal nowhere but i just finished the new genshin quest and came across your posts and aughghgh. you get it. the whole thing was So clumsily written and too fucking long and i couldn’t find it within myself to care about 90% of what was going on. like ok cool we know that grief exists, could we have some sense of emotional connection to these characters mayhaps?? or even just some idea that there are stakes we should care about??

truly they’re bungling this whole version so hard and it’s like, i actually genuinely enjoy the gameplay but idk how i can keep doing this LMFAO

even if we were to put the whitewashing, horrible rep, and lack of emotional attachment aside, its really weird to me how the character w perhaps the most visible arc was kachina who isnt even one of the main heroes 😭😭?? meanwhile iansan, the face of natlan and one of the six heroes, is reduced to a fitness trainer in like 80% of her lines. the cast appearance ratio is sooo strange to me esp following the back of fontaine.
