(Part 3) Time for Hyotei team to shine!! Here's my first impression of Hyotei! This team is also really interesting as they are popular (and one of the reasons for their popularity is VERY OBVIOUS *looks at the captain*). As much as i want to talk about Atobe, im afraid i might ended up writing a whole ass essay, but just know that in Gakupuri, he appears in other characters' route so much that i ended up fall in love with him before I even watch his route.

Hyotei characters' route are very cute and hilarious, especially Yuushi's. He's very flirty towards MC but she is just so damn oblivious to all of his attempts and it's so amusing to watch XD Hiyoshi's route is also pretty great, he keeps talking about scary stories and bringing MC to haunted houses knowing that she is scared of them and enjoys it everytime MC clings on to him lol.

Shishido's route has so many dialogues abt him and Otori (compare to the other doubles pairs) that it makes me wonder what was on the writer's mind when they wrote his story and it kinda feels like MC ships them lol.

Kabaji, like Jackal, deserves to have his own route like i won't be surprise if there are fans who would wanna choose him in the game.

(There's actually one more Hyotei member that i didn't include in the slides bcs he didn't even appeared in the game (i think u can only see him in the background or something) so i didn't know anything abt him sorry maybe i'll know once i start watching the anime)

rewatching hyoutei vs rikkai and it’s oshigaku heaven:

gakuto recognising that yuushi isn’t cool/hasn’t shut off his emotions despite the fact that his face and voice are barely any different than usual lol 

oshitari leg fetish yuushi cool spraying gakuto’s ankle 

the fact that they both have the same Spot(tm) (a la golden pair’s shipping container, such a married couple thing)

gakuto reaching out to the grouchy new transfer student 

the moment when chibi yuushi falls in love 

yuushi putting aside his cool/strategic tennis for the sake of gakuto’s dream

(and you all know how i feel about the impulsive/emotional dreamer and the cool-headed partner who puts aside reason to spoil/indulge them combination)

marui and jackal always being the parents of their underclassman 

jackal gave up his spot playing doubles with marui for the sake of rikkai despite really wanting to play with bunta ;~~~; 

also think of how long he’s had to wait for this opportunity/how hard it must have been to give up considering everything that happened at U-17 camp!!

the way that they share the same values of being selfless (jackal giving up his doubles spot, marui giving jackal’s grip tape [the last token he had of his partner] to choutarou)

marui being angry at tamagawa for wasting jackal’s time and sacrifice 

he probably got his “just try to get in my way” philosophy from jackal covering for him while he was trying out his volley techniques in matches (◡‿◡✿)

which reminds me that marui only really lets himself be spoilt when it’s by jackal, i.e. jackal is the only person he trusts to cover for him (in and out of tennis, which is why he’s always foisting things off onto him lmao)

Ryoga: Ah, of course it’s raining.

Omagari: It’s been going since this morning, y’know?

Ryoga: No, it stopped before lunch. I was hoping it’d clear up afterward.

Ochi: The forecast says it’s going to rain all afternoon again today.

Yagyuu: It’s a cycle of hitting the balls for five minutes, then taking a break for five minutes. I wonder how many shots they’ve made at this point.

Kirihara: Well plus, the fact that the breaks are only five minutes doesn’t really feel like a break at all.

Yanagi: Having to take so many short breaks in between is likely one of the reasons why it feels so tiring.

Yanagi: An hour of staying on your toes is completely different than an hour of loosening and retightening.

Yuushi: Not to mention it takes a lot of energy to tighten back up…

Atobe: It’s the same difference between running on a road that goes up and down versus a flat road.

Kirihara: I dunno what you guys are talking about but yeah, overall this is just hard.

Yagyuu: In the simplest of terms, yes…

Yanagi: And not knowing when this practice will end is going to wear us out mentally as well.

Atobe: Heh, that’s great.

Atobe: Just another way to improve my skills. I’ll keep going no matter how long it takes.

Yuushi: You sure are tough. Are you enjoying this?

Atobe: If anyone’s tough, it’s the First String you know? The accuracy of their shots hasn’t decreased not one bit.

Yagyuu: On the contrary, it feels like the rotation speed is getting faster…

Ryoga: It probably feels that way since you’re tired. We haven’t changed our pace that much.

Kirihara: Ack, a First Stringer… Is our break over already?

Ryoga: Haha, oh, no. I came over ‘cause I have a treat for you guys.

Yagyuu: A treat, you say?

Tanegashima: Wow, they look so good. I’ll have one too.

Kawamura: Should we go get a knife from the kitchen?

Kawamura: Oh, Akutsu.

Omagari: Don’t even try it. It’ll be a pain if it splatters everywhere.

Ryoga: But this time it’ll just be one vs. one. Once you return the shots, it’s back in line.

Sanada: So just returning a normal shot, I take it.

Tanegashima: It’ll be less people, but more balls. We’ll hit five shots, and you gotta return them all.

Sanada: Five shots…

Kawamura: So it’s gonna be even more intense now…

Yuushi: Let’s continue our afternoon run, shall we? It doesn’t look like we can use the courts yet.

Yagyuu: Indeed. Surely by the time we return the courts will be ready to use, right?

Atobe: Even though the rain’s stopped, it’s still really muddy and wet.

Yuushi: There’s a lot of puddles too. Nothing we can really do to prevent getting dirty.

Yagyuu: Look over there. The hydrangeas in that puddle are beautiful.

Atobe: In the puddle?

Yagyuu: Look, from over here, you can see the blue sky with the hydrangeas.

About the event: Sanada helped out some artist and as a thank you, the kids have been invited to visit his studio and try out some various art forms. This is a part of that story (the one that picked my interest).

Disclaimer: Whereas my usual focus lies on shitposting tenicrack, this translation is true to the source material, i.e. I did not make it up.

Fuji: The staff's explanation about how to draw someone's portrait was really helpful, wasn't it.

This is their spring. But the Sakura isn't blooming in long way. Because before Fuji enter U-17, when he and Yuuta visited Hisame in her apartement. The horrifying incident begin.

Someone ring Hisame apartment, but when Fuji open the door he found out someone with black mask and black hat standing with thick jackets (which he use a rosario and cross emblems on the left chest)

Hisame approach Fuji who stands freezing because he know this guys want to do something bad. Under 5 second, The big guys pull out his hand and stabbing Fuji with knife, but Hisame grab Fuji T-shirt, make him jerked back, Fuji falling on the floor and crashed the buffet, in exchanged Hisame now covered him until the knife stabbed now Hisame stomach brutally.

Not only that, when Hisame try to kick that big guy to get out of her apartement, he stab Hisame again twice in Hisame left shoulder and chest. Hisame with all her last strength slammed the door and falling down.

Yuuta hear a commotion in front of the connecting door. When he yells to his brother, Fuji slam and locked the connecting door to prevent Yuuta come out.

"YUUTA! DON'T COME! STAY THERE!! CALL THE POLICE!! CALL AMBULANCE!!!"

"ANIKI!? ANIKI? WHAT'S? WHAT'S HAPPENED THERE? HISAME-SAN?!"
