I recently started following Tenimyu again and decided to look for the stages from seasons 1 and 2 to watch again. Over the years, I lost a lot of files between computer changes and I went looking for where I knew them so I could recover them. But nowadays I have difficulty finding what used to be easy and I don't know if it's just me not knowing how to look anymore or if everything has really become more closed and difficult to access. I think I've already gone everywhere I could go and ask for it.

For example, I've been looking for Seigaku Farewell Party for almost two months, and everywhere I go the links don't work or the link to the Tenimyutopia thread is invalid. I feel a bit lost, I confess. I can't find 4 stages from the first season and I can't find any from the second season after Seigaku vs Higa.

I also tried looking for seasons 3 and 4, but I couldn't find anything. The same situation applies to Shin Tenimyu.

I'm not going to give up, but it was really a shock not being able to find everything as it was before, especially on tumblr and that scared me a little.

Hello all, we are back!

After many years, we decided to revamp this blog and write more about our lovelies! So feel free to drop an ask, after reading through rules, of course!

We will be doing 5 matchups and 5 scenarios/headcanons requests, to start us off slow. You can ask for sfw and nsfw content, so have fun with your ideas! We will update this post once we reach that number of requests, but will leave asks open for you to share your headcanons or whatever you'd like with us!

So. . .

Kawamura takashi is a regular player in seigaku's tennis team , (seshiun gakuen) , He is originally an Aggressive baseliner , and he is mostly recognized by his 'burning state' , a 'state' he takes through holding a racket . This state is ; probably , completely the opposite from the actual kawamura takashi even if they're the same person.

Thats what I wanted to talk about , is this 'burning state' really just a random trait from the author to make a character unique..? or does it have a reason to be present?

As a prince of tennis fan , we know thar kawamura or taka-san is not *very* noticable for his special tennis techniques , yes he is a very good and strong player enough to be a regular , but you can defintely see the difference between him and others . Inui , as an example , known by his data-tennis . Fuji , the genius with dozens of techinques , and Ryoma .. I don't need to explain.

To be more fair , Kawamura have techniques , many of them , as I said before he is an Aggressive baseliner .. mostly using his power to overwhelm his opponents which is a style called 'Power play' , Like 'burning' , 'burning serve' , 'Hadoukyū (波動球)' , 'Two-Handed Hadoukyū (両手波動球) etc...

Throughout the series , all of them have the risk of injuries , meaning they depend on kawamura's *physical strength* .

And , Its noted..many times that kawamura doesn't find value in his tennis without his strength , seeing himself as the physically strong member of the team only , even considering himself as a burden on the team..

And , probably here comes his 'burning state' , in The Prince of Tennis 10.5 Fanbook | Publication Date: 11/02/2001 , he states that he doesn't know why his personality changes when he hold the racket , and When asked if his normal or Burning state is his true personality, he responds that both of them are.

So , Kawamura doesn't know why his personality changes , but he is aware of it.

also , He is described as 'someone who should understand their other side more to let their charms blossom' . Then technically , his burning state is kawamura himself , or the person he is afraid of showing.

also kawamura was marginalized in the team two years prior the story , he was ridiculed by many of the older members of the club because he had no other skills, and couldn't make successful shots , older regulars even nicknamed him "home-run guy" and said he should switch to the baseball..And he didn't had the burning state that time.

I guess , his burning state is him trying to act tough or cool infront of other players to not get ridiculed or to impress his new friends by the time (tezuka , oishi , fuji , kikumaru , inui) , probably once or twice , then it became a habit for him.

skipping events..9th grade when kawamura decided to quit tennis after his match with shitenhoji's gin ishida , after a long list of injuries , in this match , kawamura wasn't acting fully in his burning state , in the same time , he was stubborn on not withdrawaling..because at that time , Gin was the 1# power player , and kawamura who's reckless when he is determind on something , 'After losing 23 points in a row to the first 23 styles of Hadoukyū, he is down 5-0, 40-0 when he is knocked into the stands, where he is caught by Akutsu. Inspired by Akutsu, Kawamura returns newly awakened and begins hitting Hadokyū's again. His final shot, what he called his Final Hadokyū. He injures Gin's wrist because the power of the Final Hadoukyū surpasses Gin's 108 styles of Hadoukyū. In the end, Gin was forced to forfeit and making Kawamura the #1 Power Player in Junior High School' , originally this was supposed to be kawamura's last match , since he fullfiled his dream on being the 1# power player in junior high school.. but konami brushed it off , which I think is a mistake . Because , we could've seen kawamura's development , on his new dream which is working in his dad's sushi restaurtant , and how he will bid farewell to the team , after years of building memories with people who supported , valued and helped him with his dream.

For me , this could've been a way better ending for kawamura , while he after quitting , gets to know his other side better than trapping it on only when he holds the racket.

but for the actual ending , is after the U-17 training camp , where he does quit tennis to foucs on his dad's business , which saddens his father ,

For me , even with kawamura's 'dual personality' as its said by konami , he has better writing than most of characters currently.

He had a sort of journey on finding himself , even when he hadn't belived in himself , his friends did and taught him , he gives me the kind of feeling that he values everyday of his life , on seeing the purpose on each event , and learning from others.

See what I like about the prince of tennis , is each character could've been a good protagonist too , I don't mean that Ryoma is a bad protag , but I mean most characters are detailed and well written enough to be the protagonists , Like kawamura , Niou and yagyuu , yukimura and even kintaro , who was originally the Mc.

And here comes Ryoma's role , on being a part of their lives , sometimes he learns from them , sometimes he teaches them.

Ripp to all those tenimyu videos that have gotten taken down

Were they technically illegal distribution of copyrighted/recorded material and its completely fair for them to be taken down? Yes. Am i still upset about it? Yes

Like some of those videos have been up for over fifteen years and i watched them at least once a year since like elementary. They were still up during the pandemic. And last year. But i guess this year Youtube finally cracked down on them.

It’s real sad because i really enjoyed the songs and the choreography and watching the cast and stuff. But like there’s no legal digital way for me to even listen to the songs since there’s no spotify/itunes album. And the video production as ive stated was never uploaded online for you to bug via amazon videos, itunes, etc.

Like if they had a digital distribution of it i would totally buy it regardless of if it was subbed or not. But there isn’t.

And there’s not many people selling the physical dvd’s/cd’s of any of the productions especially like the first season with the first four casts.

(No videos of Crystal, Ice Emperor, Victory, now and forever, do your best, etc. Missing out on some really nice/beautiful songs. Seriously Crystal was really pretty)

I feel like I don't know how to be a niche fan on Web 2.0. Like seriously, where would I go to find Prince of Tennis musicals later than Rokkakumyu? Where are the torrent sites that somehow never gave me a virus or called the FBI down on me? Does that kind of thing still exist or are they gone forever?

Thankfully I found the DVDs I'd burned years ago and they're mostly not corrupted, so I have Dream Live 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, Fudomine, St. Rudolph, side Yamabuki, Hyoutei, and Rokkaku (in a baffling mix of raws and different languages' subs), so that's a pretty good collection. Still, it's a little sad to think that my proficiency has decreased so much I wouldn't have any idea where to go for that.

Shiraishi:

You’d expect him to be a smooth talker but instead you get bad puns and jokes.

Loves to make you smile and the sound of your laugh is his favourite so he tries really hard to do so.

Cups your face and showers you with kisses until you try to escape. Even then, doesn't let you go until he had one last smooch.

Prefers to stay in and cuddle while watching a movie or even better, a documentary.

His favourite is to hug you from behind and just breathe in your scent.

Niou:

This man is a flirt and will never cease to amaze you with his lines, even when you’re already dating.

Loves it when you go out and he pretends he doesn’t know you, trying to swoon you while you teasingly tell him you are taken. He says something along the lines ‘he doesn’t have to know’ and you can’t help but call him silly and melt into his embrace.

Teases and nibbles your lips a lot while kissing, pulling away just when you think he’d deepen a kiss, making you want him even more.

Butt slapping war.

Neck kisses are his weakness and he turns into putty in your arms.

Chitose:

Every time he looks at you, there is a soft smile on his face as he is still baffled how he scored someone as wonderful as you.

Unplanned dates, just calls you up and asks if you’d like to come on an adventure with him. Really good at surprising you too.

Loves to hold hands and bring them up to kiss yours, simply to show how much he appreciates you.

Stargazing is one of his favourite things he loves to share with you and is happiest when you two get lost in conversation for hours.

Loves when you play with his hair and almost squeals if you kiss his nose softly.

Tanegashima:

Even though he likes to think he is the catch of the century, he is absolutely smitten by you. Like can’t think straight and staring at you, thinking how amazing you are.

Dates usually consist of amusement parks or street fairs, he loves to try out new food and win a prize or two for you.

One spontaneous date he’d never forget is you two going skinny dipping in the night while on vacation by the sea.

When he hugs you, he picks you up and twirls you around.

Loves to brush his lips against yours and pull back when you lean in to kiss him. However, if you do it to him, he’d groan and hold you in place, kissing you passionately.

did some cleaning this afternoon, and i found these two treasures while doing it! 🥹 it was two pamphlets that i took while i was in japan, in august 2019, when i went to buy CDs and goodies in a limited store for prince of tennis! one was for the best games movie (fuji vs kirihaya) and one for a tenimyu show! it feels so nostalgic to see them! 🥹
