This very much sums up why Yuru Camp stands out as one of the best iyashikei shows. It appreciates loneliness. Not that there is anything wrong with the focus on friendship in all the other cute girl shows (and that’s a huge element in Yuru Camp too for a reason), but a girl who is adorable and has the time of her life while alone is just so damn special, and so relatable to introverts.

While Rin Shima goes to Kakegawa to catch the first sunrise of the New Year,  Aoi Inuyama and her little sister Akari Inuyama, Chiaki Ōgaki and their teacher Minami Toba, goes to Mount Minobu for the sunrise. Meanwhile, Nadeshiko Kagamihara is hard at work delivering mails for the post office.

The camping girls are back and they are back to camp!

I literally have nothing to say about this as the quality is the exact same as season 1′s. Which means that it’s Very Good!

I feel like this season does focus more on the friendship between the characters and how differently Nadeshiko experiences solo camping compared to Rin. It also gives some more important advice for would-be campers and I bet viewers who have been to the locations shown in the anime really got a kick out of it. 

“Yuru Camp” has cute girls with mochi faces, a fun but also chill atmosphere and an ED song that sounds like a lullaby. Definitely would advice watching this right before bed or in the dark with a nice cup of cocoa.

I just watched Yuru Camp season 2 episode 8 and can I just say that I love Rin and Sakura ? Together as well as in relation to Nadeshiko. It was already kind of cute how those two loners managed to connect and get along thanks to their connection to Nadeshiko (literally bonding over the fact they’re both kind of worried about her going solo camping), but this episode brought them to a whole new level and this level includes dumbassery. I couldn’t stop laughing the whole time they were together XD

Seriously, it’s already funny and adorable that they both got worried that something had happened to Nadeshiko and both decided to go to the campsite to make sure everything was ok, but their reactions when they were afraid of Nadeshiko spotting them ? How they both started running for the bushes without any hint of hesitation ? How they hid even more when she walked toward them, then ran like idiots again as soon as she had her back to them ?

Those two are dorks, and they’re adorable, and I love their relationship, because they barely know each other but they’re on the same wavelength and they understand each other on a guts level to the point where those two kinda cold-faced loners, one of which consciously tried to avoid the other not 12 hours ago out of fear of things getting awkward, are now going to share a meal after checking on the person they care about.

I just love the idea of a girl’s (Nadeshiko’s) (girl)friend and older sister bonding over her and their worry for her, based on the knowledge that the other shares their feeling of “I want to take care of and protect her”. I think it’s beautiful and I love how the anime’s done it with those two. 

I also love how dorky and stupid they looked while running and hiding from Nadeshiko. It was excellent XD
