WE'RE FIVE DAYS LATE FOR HALLOWEEN BUT HERE WE GO!

The Kings

Toriko - I feel like Toriko would try (and likely fail) to organize a group costume. Or he would probably dress up as some popular superhero in order to amaze small children. Terry and Ob are DEFINITELY getting costumes too.

Coco - I don't think that Coco would be particularly fond of dressing up? But if he did, I could conceivably see him going as, like, a witch or something. An excuse to wear a long black robe - and also I feel like Kiss would let him put cat ears on him

Sunny - I feel like Sunny would either go as like, a Disney-esque princess or an angel. Something *.~beaut'ful~.*, ya know?

Zebra - Zebra would find the SCARIEST, UGLIEST mask he could and just wear that and his normal clothes. He would probably spend Halloween just like... hiding in the bushes and scaring random children walking by (if he could be bothered to participate at all). On the other hand: I feel like young Zebra would LOVE trick-or-treating

Komatsu - If I had to guess, I'd say he'd be one of those people to just wear like, an animal onesie. Maybe one that looked like Yun, for bonus cute factor. I could also see Komatsu trying to do a pet costume for Yun to pair up with. Like dressing up as an angel and putting devil horns on Yun

Rin - I had a lot of trouble thinking up something for Rin. She is a Beast Tamer, so maybe something to do with animals? Like a safari guide or something, maybe?

The Toriko anime ain’t so bad

As angry as the ending of Toriko made me, I still have the manga (at the Melk arc) and two tabs of the anime open. For all that I used to side eye the anime hard, it’s not too bad if you let the censorship of the blood go.

Honestly, the animated Melk arc was really good! There wasn’t much to censor, so it was easier to let that go and just enjoy the cuties being together. The filler isn’t exactly high quality, but there have been a few really adorable scenes (mostly with Yun, who apparently wields the power to be cute with other animals) but most importantly, there are a LOT of team ups with the other Kings, or at least interactions.

I can appreciate that above everything else. I’ve only watched a couple so far, and I really hope there’s some Komatsu/Not-Toriko Kings teamwork in here somewhere...

The Last Guardian Villager Dialogue Transcription

This is a transcription of the unsubtitled villager dialogue from The Last Guardian. There’s no real knowledge behind this, it probably won’t help much, and anything we could really figure out from it has already been discussed, but I did it and just wanted to post it

I only wrote the lines that I could understand enough here.  If you watch the scenes, and there are lines in them that aren’t here, which there are, I felt that they weren’t intelligible enough for me to write.  Perhaps the next step from this would be to transcribe the narrator’s lines, but that would take a long time as there are so many of them.  At least they’re easy to hear.  But we’d need some kind of language expert to really figure anything out, I think.

Anyway, here’s what I got.

Scene 1: When the boy is taken

Trico picks up the boy with his mouth, and the old lady gasps, waking the boys up Village Boy (waking up): Muu?  Ha...Oejisan(sat?)? (He could be talking to the old lady, addressing her in some way, not realizing what’s going on yet) Various children scream Old Lady: Toriko-no!! (pretty safe to say this just means “It’s a Trico!”) Villager runs up to gong Villager: Myugai! Starts banging gong  (You don’t see his face but you hear him running up to the gong so it’s safe to say he’s saying this) Villager 2: Mugeta!! (Villager 2 might be offscreen or might be running towards the building, we don’t know who’s saying this.  This is probably some sort of call and response, given the similar-sounding words) (Many Villagers yell unintelligible things when facing Trico in the room where his head is stuck) Villager w/Torch: Hamukyuza! We see him say this.  A villager runs up and throws a spear.  (The torch guy was probably commanding him to do this.) The spear hits Trico and he pulls his head out of the building, breaking a lot of the wall Villager: Mugeta!! (Same word as earlier, but not responding to anything that I can hear.) (There’s a lot of unintelligible dialogue as Trico lands and the villagers surround him) Trico starts running to fly away Villager: Yamot! Villager 2: Ozatiku! Villager 3: Lazaguuu! (these villagers might be the same person or different people) (several villagers say things that could be exclamations or sentence fragments) Old Lady: Eeyanyo, Komeho(wa?)... Elder: Ah...Enomoto, otonon, isaraber. (subtitled: Be among the chosen ones.)

Scene 2: The finale

Trico crashes to the ground Villager: Toriko-no! Villagers with spears run up Villager 2: Azubari! (something like that.  It’s hard to understand) Trico tries to get up and fails Villager: Yun ki kun! (once again hard to understand) Villager 2: Yigai! Trico barfs the boy up Villager: Oh... Villager 2: Mihiju... Villager 3 (older sounding): Ala weezee... (this sounds similar to something the older boy/narrator says a lot) Trico pushes the boy with his snout Female Villager: Mite koich... Lead villagers runs to get the boy Villager (lead?): Mielutu... Lead villagers brings boy back to the group Several villagers: Mihju. Female villagers: Oh!  Ezoge! The boy calls to Trico and he gets up Villager: Oozotontu!

Scene 3: Post-credits

Child Villager 1: Oorudeneto kastino agari! Child Villager 2: Woo...Wuyorinet... (This is extremely hard to understand)  Narrator/older boy walks up Child Villager 1: Wakatu... Child Villager 2: Orrto! Later, the narrator holds the mirror up at night Multiple children: Woah!  A-ta-gi!
