wc: 452
warnings: none
genre: fluff, established relationship
so many morning timestamps lmaoo sorry one of these days it'll be a different time hehe
happy late birthday yugyeom!! unfortunately ur birthday is over the holidays so i got busy
-
When you awake, you are met with Yugyeom’s serene face. Your breath hitches as his breath brushes your cheek gently. You can’t help but smile at your boyfriend, your hand coming up and brushing against his jawline. Now that he was on break from work, he had gained a little bit of weight and you found it extremely endearing, the way he filled out and softened his edges and glowed healthily. He is soft but even softer in his sleep, and you can feel your heart swell and you lean over to plant a quick, sweet kiss on the apple of his cheek.
Yugyeom shifts slightly in his sleep, his face moving closer and lodging his nose in your collarbone. You giggle at that, his breath tickling your shoulder, but lean your head to the side, pressing even more kisses to his temple. “Morning?” he asks in a rough voice, confused at the sudden affection you are showering upon him.
“Good morning,” you giggle, pressing a kiss to his lips. Although he’s still half-asleep, he returns it, throwing his arm around your waist lazily and bringing you closer.
“It’s too early to be up,” he groans and you laugh. “It’s my off day, let me sleep.”
His whining tone only serves to make your smile grow even fonder and you press another kiss to the tip of his nose. “You’re sweet,” you hum, shifting to let your hands cup his face and offer him more kisses. “I’m happy I get to be with you.”
Yugyeom’s eyes blink open, a little more awake now as his lips pull into a sweet smile. “I’m glad too, babe, but what’s up with you? You’re super lovey-dovey today.”
You shrug the best you can with his arms around you and your arms around him. “I’m just feeling very fond of you today,” you say, kissing him once again. “I don’t know why, I just woke up and wanted to give you some love.”
Yugyeom hums, his eyes fluttering close as you kiss him again and again, peppering it all over his face. “I love you,” he murmurs, brain falling back asleep and your heart blooms at the sight. “Let’s get married.”
He clearly didn’t register his words quite yet, falling back asleep so quickly, leaving you to stare at your lover in disbelief. Not negative, of course, just unexpected. You loved him, and you know he loved you, but you weren’t sure if marriage would ever be on the table for you two. With your smile growing soft, you press a kiss to his forehead and cuddle up next to him once more.
“Let’s,” you whisper into his hair, a promise full of hope and love.

SECRET FRIENDS - Min Yoongi- One Shot
Tumblr media
Pairing: Yoongi x Reader 18+🔞 (FT.. Jungkook, Mingyu, Hobi, Jimin, Yugyeom)
Wordcount: 2.164 ❤️
Genre: Same friend group Au - Secret friends Au - Secret siatuationship Au
Warning: This story contains strong language and VERY Spicy/sexual content. Be aware before reading.
After a couple of weeks of thinking, I decided to bring my best friend Cassie into my secret circle of friends, it had felt weird not tell her about it before, only the secret wasn't only mine but today I received a message from Jungkook, inviting me to a little weekend away in the countryside  , he felt bad that I was keeping a secret from my  best friend so he said II could bring her along.
So here we are dropping our stuff in one of the bedrooms. My friend is a little mad at me because I didn't give her a heads up on who she was going to be meeting and because she is embarrassed she was wearing her Mingyu Tshirt when she actually shook Mingyu's hand. In my defence, I did not see it under her jean jacket and Mingyu did find it funny.
Hobi is preparing the food shopping list so he can go with Jimin and Yugyeom to the supermarket, we are in a pretty small town so not many people would pay much attention to them.
Mingyu and Jungkook were thinking about drinks but decided to make a tik tok video of a new dance while making Cassie record it. I knew they were going to get along and I am glad they are.
I met Jungkook a while back while I was volunteering at an animal shelter, we clicked talking about animals, we became friends and soon he introduced me to some of his friends a few of them aren't here because of their busy schedule... There is one in particular that I am waiting for.. I haven't seen him in a while and I know he is going to be here but I can't wait.  Min Yoongi and I talked often when we were at the same gatherings, we had some things in common and he would make sure I felt comfortable and included, one conversation lead to another until one day we were celebrating Jungkook's birthday and after some drinks we ended up sleeping together. I felt incredibly guilty at the thought of ruining this new found friendship so I avoided Yoongi until we met again at a different gathering and we ended up slept together again, we decided to just keep it at that even though I caught feelings.
"Yoongi Hyun is almost here!" Jungkook yells from the kitchen bar, looking at me with a smirk.  He knows about us, against his own will like he likes to say. He walked in on us doing the deed once when he thought Yoongi was alone in his room. Yoongi had to buy him a full box of banana milk as bribe for his silence and another one as payment for his trauma.
"Staaaup" I mouth at him while he laughs at my sudden blush.
I hear voices outside and I recognize his, he is greeting the boys that are on their way to the super market... I stay on the couch acting as nonchalant as possible but my heart is racing and I am sure it skips a couple of beats as soon as I feel him bend over the couch to level to my ear and whisper  "Hello beautiful.. its been a while!" I can smell his scent and feel his breath on my skin. I don't turn to look at him because I am sure our lips would connect and I have missed him so much, I don't think I would be able to stop at just a kiss.
........................................................
We had dinner and drink outside and now we are playing games, Cassie and the boys are getting along and she is smiling so much, I am worried her chicks will fall! We watch Jimin dance like a chicken as a dare for loosing at the latest game, Jungkook keeps winning and we are all obviously teaming up to make him loose at least once. Yoongi and I keep stealing glances at each other and my stomach keeps fluttering every time he smiles at me and I worry that the longer we keep seeing each other the more painful it will be for me when it ends. When he told me that he was coming this weekend, he also said we had to talk and I feel it is about ending it.
MYG<3 : should we retire soon?
Me: I don't want to leave Cassie alone.
MYG<3 : She will be fine.
MYG<3 : I want to be alone with you.
Fuck. He wants to have that talk now. I take a break from replying to his messages. I am not ready but better now than later I guess. I tell Cassie that I will go inside for a while to make a phone call to my parents, those usually last long so she wont get worry if I'm gone for a while.
Me: Okay, lets.
MYG<3 : You go first.
I waited for Yoongi on the second floor, once we were in his room we made small talk, its unbearable and I am feeling awkward so I decide to kick start the more serious conversation.
"So we should talk..." I start but he cuts my sentence with a kiss. I push him back a little putting my hands on his chest to keep the distance. He frowns at me with an inquisitive look.
"What's wrong?" he says placing a hand on my chick while tilting his head.
I think about pushing for the serious conversation but then think about how this will probably be the last time we are this close together, about how I might regret not enjoying him like this one last time and before I can change my mind I close the distance between us and our mouths clash. I expect him to stop me but instead he deepens the kiss and that's all I need to know before I start walking backwards to the bed maintaining eye contact and unbuttoning my jeans and letting them fall to the floor. Yoongi takes his clothes and walks to help me out of my hoodie leaving me in my underwear and biting his lips once he noticed I hadn't been wearing a bra!
He pushes me into the bed and gets on top of me, kissing me deeply and moving his hands freely around my body. I can feel his hard cock when he presses his crotch against mine. His mouth moves around my face and then  my neck, following a trail towards my breast and I cant seem to control my breathing or my racing heart. My head is cloudy, run by pure deep lust, the same one I can see in his eyes when we make eye contact while my nipple is in his mouth. His long fingers are now at my clit, rubbing it with passion and a moan escapes my mouth, he flips me around and pulls my butt up and removes my underwear. He starts making his way to my core starting from the back, delivering wet kisses to my butt and going lower until i feel his long tongue stroking around my entrance and then caressing my clit. My legs shake the more he plays around with my clit, I can feel the orgasm building and once his finger enter me, I cant hold it in anymore and let go. He lick me all over and then I feel his absence, looking towards him I notice the condom on his hand. My mouth waters at the view of his perfectly erected member and I get off the bed and drop to me knees, looking into his eyes I don't wait for him to oppose to this and guide his cock into my mouth, sucking hard and moving my tongue around the tip, earning me a grunt from him, I look up and notice he is hanging his head backwards, then my eyes fall to his free hand and I notice his closed fist... I know what that means, he is itching to hold my head and fuck my mouth, so I grab it and place it at the back of my head, letting him know that its okay to do just what he wants. I feel him thrust forward and I relax my throat to give him full access. I can hear his moans and grunts when I breathe and try my best to swallow around his cock until he stops me abruptly, gets me up and on the bed again, spreading my legs and putting the condom on before he enters me.  We always had great chemistry in bed, our sex was always hot and dirty but tonight there is also something else and its fucking good.  I can feel him inside of me getting frantic,  we have been going at it for a while and after several of my orgasms I can feel his trusts going faster and his cock throbbing inside of me, I know he is close. he kisses me through my latest orgasm and I feel the shock of it starting from my toes, the eye contact sealing it and after my high he pumps a couple more times inside of me before his glorious release. He give me a chaste kiss and then drops next to me.
"Fuuuck..." he says while breathing heavily
I stay quiet for a while, afraid that if I speak the bubble will break and we will be forced to have that conversation, all while I only want to enjoy this moment.
He kisses my shoulder softly a couple of times and then clears his throat before speaking "I want to tell you something and I need you to listen to me" -FUCK, here we go and I'm not ready-
I hum in response and prepare myself for the worst.
"(Y/N)  you know I care about you and that we have been doing this for a while now..." His voice seems calm but somehow my heart keeps raising and my mind is imagining the worst "I can't do this anymore, the whole secret thing is hard and It is stressing me out.. so maybe we shouldㅡ " he pauses when I move to sit up.
"Right.." I exhale trying to slow downs my breathing "We should just stop this" I walk to my clothes
"What?" he shoots up and grabs my arm, his dark hair slightly wet by the sweat is now attached to his forehead and he looks gorgeous while standing there looking at me in confusion. "What the fuck are you talking about?"
"I understand, you want to end it. This secret is a problem and we need to end it before it becomes something bigger"  I say slowly and carefully.. his confused expression is starting to freak me out, he is looking at me like I just grew a second head and I become even more confused once he laughs drily.
"I never said I wanted to end it. I want us to continue seeing each other. Iㅡ"
"Us hooking up sgain is only going to make it harder later one" I say
"Stop. Stop talking." he says, placing a hand to his chest and moving his hair from his forehead "If you would only listen to me, you would know that I don't want to fucking end it. I want you in my life and I thought about us being friends but  the idea of us being anything short that boyfriend and girlfriend kills me and I came here to ask you but... you don't want to?" He looks at me, his face pained and I start tearing up.
This whole time I thought he wanted to end us, meanwhile he just wanted us to become something more. I can see him trying to find an answer on my face and when I find myself unable to speak, I throw myself at him, kissing him passionately, stopping to whisper in between sobs  "I do want us. I want us to be together. I want to be your girlfriend." and starting a second round of what we had just finished.
.......................................
Its the morning after and I woke up in between his arms, Yoongi and I spent most of the night having sex, intense and meaningful sex until we fell asleep.
I am in the ensuite shower when he joins me and we go for another rounds, I am incredibly happy and he seems to be in the same state. Every now and then he tells me how happy he is I said yes and how much more relaxed he feels now that we are on the same page.
We get dressed in between kisses, trying our best to not fall in the bed again because we need energy so we walk holding hands to the kitchen to get some breakfast and we can hear everyone is awake. We had decided to let our friends know about us because it was a good start not having to hide our relationship from them.
"FUCKING FINALLY" Jungkook yells with a big smile when he sees us entering the Livingroom.

Beautiful Thing | 08
Tumblr media
Pairing: Yugyeom x Reader, Future GOT7 x Reader Genre: Fluff, Angst, Soulmate AU, Poly AU, Enemies to Lovers AU Rating: T (explicit language) Summary: Yugyeom finds himself at odds with BamBam when he tries to be kind and friendly to you. Word Count: 4.0k Warnings: None?

Tumblr media
Yugyeom felt like he was going to vomit. The butterflies in his stomach wouldn't settle down. His skin had been buzzing since he hugged you at the hotel. He'd tried to tell himself that he was just excited because the situation was new, something he'd never experienced before. However, in the back of his mind, he knew the truth. It was all about you. You were the anomaly.
The group filed onto the smaller private airplane, a courtesy given by the SeoulMate company given the unique situation. It was nicer than he'd expected and a bit more luxurious than the ones he'd traveled in before. Perfect for your first flight with them. With him. You brought up the rear, dragging your small carry-on bag behind you like a dead body. Your lips were curved in the cutest pout he'd ever seen and discontent rolled off you in waves. He slowed his pace until he got to your side.
"Would you like to sit beside me?" He gave you a shy smile. "I'm pretty sure Jackson's gonna sit with us."
BamBam overheard the question and turned around. "What? You usually sit with me."
'Oh...' Yugyeom's eyes widened, and he shrugged a shoulder. "If you can convince Jackson to sit elsewhere...It's her first flight and I wanna keep her company. It's just one time, bro." BamBam's eyes darted to you and narrowed before he turned back around, increasing his pace to disappear among the staff.
"Oh, great. The drama queen's mad at me, too." You sighed loudly and rolled your eyes. When you looked up at Yugyeom, the butterflies went nuts. "You don't have to sacrifice your bromance for me. I'll be just fine. It isn't like I didn't agree with this."
He patted the top of your head with a smile. "He'll get over it. I think a three-hour plane flight is a great time to get to know you. After all, you're a person, not an inconvenience."
Your breath caught for a second, and your mood visibly brightened at his words. "Thank you. It's nice to hear that after all the glares Jinyoung's throwing at me."
"No one's glaring," Jinyoung muttered as he squeezed by and settled into a window seat.
Yugyeom directed you to a window seat on the opposite side of the plane, but you shook your head. "No thanks. I don't need a visual reminder of the impossible physics of this death box."
"Can you please not call it that while I'm in it? Thanks." Mark interjected without looking up from his phone.
"What else should I call it?" You fired back.
"How about 'majestic vessel of life' or something? Anything but that."
"Oh okay. This 'fanciful fucking unicorn' then."
"Language!" Jaebeom called out from somewhere. Yugyeom couldn't help but notice how comfortable you were with bickering with them. Did you even notice it? Though he wished it interactions weren't negative, you fit right in.
"Oh, fuck off." You mumbled under your breath and dropped into the middle seat.
Yugyeom spotting Jackson making his way down the aisle, eyes set on you. He smiled and stood up. You whined as he practically smothered you as he pushed his way to the vacant window seat, crushing you into the seat before letting up. He couldn't help but smile as you blinked owlishly at Jackson as he busied himself with digging around in his bag. "I brought extra stuff in case you need anything." He dropped a water bottle into your hands and put a travel pillow around your neck.
"Jackson, wait—"
Yugyeom filled the seat next to you, looking around to see if the group had all found a seat with his hand out to Jackson. Without being asked, Jackson gave him a water bottle, too.
As usual, Jackson turned into a mother hen with his attention devoted solely to you. It was a refreshing change from being on the receiving end. "The bathroom's in the back, but I'll walk with you if you're uncomfortable walking on your own."
"I know I said this was my first flight, but really, you don't have to go through this much trouble."
He paused and looked you in the eyes. "It isn't any trouble. If anything, it's a pleasure." His face lit up with a wide grin. "I'm doing something useful for you, right? You don't mind, do you?"
Your shoulders drooped in defeat and Yugyeom bit back a chuckle. No one was immune to Jackson's charm. "Yes, this is fine. Thank you, Jackson." You smiled at him. "It means a lot that you care."
A Christmas tree would fail to compare to the light he gave off upon hearing your words. He meant well. Everyone knew that. It'd take patience and reassurance to break him out of his habit of seeking validation. Though they as a group had become accustomed to it, Yugyeom found himself hoping you'd stick around long enough to help them out.
It wasn't long before the pilot came on with his greeting and itinerary with the stewards and stewardesses shooing away electronics and making sure everyone was buckled in properly. Jackson gently took your hand and held it while they explained the standard emergency procedures. You didn't realize you were manhandling the armrest and gritting your teeth.
"It'll be okay. I promise," he whispered, raising your hand to his lips and pressing a soft kiss to your knuckles. Why hadn't Yugyeom thought to do that? "I won't let anything happen to you."
"You can't possibly keep a promise like that." You said flatly. Yugyeom's fingertips grazed your knee a few times before you realized he was itching to hold your other hand. Without thinking, you grabbed his hand and squeezed it when the plane shook and began edging forward down the runway.
"I can!" Jackson said indignantly. "I can swim—"
"We're not going over water." You and Yugyeom said in unison. A tingle sparked between your palms but you didn't show any signs of having felt it too.
"I've been skydiving—"
"You're afraid of heights." You and Yugyeom answered together. Yugyeom glanced at you but your eyes were on Jackson. Did you even hear him?
"Okay, but I'd die to protect you!"
"Jackson," you put your hand on his knee, "It's okay. You don't have to try so hard for me."
"But I want to." He spoke softly with a slight pout.
"Honestly, that you even want to is more than enough for me." It was just enough to cheer him up again. Yugyeom noticed Jaebeom watching, eyebrows creased with concern. When you continued to speak, Yugyeom turned back to you. "But make sure you care about yourself just as much, okay? I mean it."
Jackson nodded, cheeks flushing with color as he looked down at your clasped hands. "Okay."
Soon enough, the plane was in the air and Dallas became a cluster of dots on the ground. You visibly relaxed into your seat as Jackson rubbed the back of your hand with his thumb. Yugyeom wanted to do something like that, but he wasn't sure you'd allow it. You hadn't known him as long or as well as you did Jackson. The monitor in the seat in front of him flickered between advertisements and a thought struck him.
"Hey, we can watch a movie to pass the time." He nudged your shoulder with his. "What kind of movies do you like?"
You looked at him before your eyes went upward. "I'm not too picky, really. Though maybe we could save the scary stuff for later?" When your gaze returned to his, another tingle blossomed over his skin.
"I can work with that." He smiled before touching the screen. A few swipes later and logo music began to play.
The flight was relatively smooth, with only a few patches of turbulence along the way. You leaned against him the entire time, still holding Jackson's hand, eyes glued on the screen. At some point a stewardess came along with food and he found himself sharing popcorn with you. He thought of Jackson's time alone with you and realized that despite you both being surrounded by others, you were still in your own little bubble. Not quite as intimate as sharing a full meal, but basically a movie date. He'd told himself he'd just be friendly, make you feel as welcome as he could. Yet, he couldn't deny the sparks whenever your skin brushed against his. Couldn't stop his thoughts from embracing the idea of you being his soulmate. By the end of the movie, you were dozing off, using Yugyeom's shoulder as a makeshift pillow. He didn't mind one bit.
He entertained himself with sending memes to BamBam, ignoring the fact that he was left on read. He could understand his closest friend's annoyance but he had to admit he was having the time of his life. He'd beg for forgiveness later if needed. Right now, he wanted to enjoy the moment and commit it to memory. When you woke up from your nap, the plane was beginning its descent. You looked out the window and saw the glittering buildings below, signaling your arrival at your destination.
As the plane touched down and taxied to the gate, you and Jackson clasped hands tightly, your eyes closed as if that would make the descent any smoother. Yugyeom found himself humming a song and seized the moment to hold your other hand, mirroring Jackson's calming caress with his thumb. He was more than pleased with himself when you seemingly melted against his arm again, eyes still shut.
"Oh, god tell me when its over." You muttered and he liked that you sought him out for comfort.
As soon as the seatbelt sign turned off, everyone began standing up to gather their belongings from the overhead bins.
"See? We made it!" Jackson exclaimed with a triumphant grin as he unbuckled his seatbelt. You let out a sigh of relief and opened your eyes, returning his smile. "Yeah, we did. This time, at least."
Yugyeom leaned in and caught your gaze. "Are you okay?"
You nodded, feeling shaky but trying to hide it. "Yeah, I'm fine." You attempted to stand up and grab your bag from the overhead compartment but stumbled when the plane jerked suddenly.
"Whoa there," Jackson caught you before you could fall. "Maybe we should wait for everyone else to get off first."
You nodded gratefully and sat back down. BamBam shuffled off the plane with the others, pointedly ignoring Yugyeom. When the plane was finally empty, you stood up again and grabbed your bag without any problems this time.
Yugyeom nodded in agreement before looking at his phone. "Our luggage should be at baggage claim already."
"That's quick," you said as you followed them out of the plane and towards baggage claim. Soon enough, all three of you were standing in front of a carousel waiting for your luggage to come around.
When you spotted your suitcase and stepped away to grab it, Jackson leaned in and whispered, "Are you and Bam gonna be okay? I don't think I've ever seen him this pissed at you of all people."
Yugyeom shrugged. "He can't be mad forever. And I guess it's new for him. He's never had to share my attention with anyone like this before."
"Yeah, he can be pretty childish sometimes." Jackson nodded.
Yugyeom chuckled as you struggled to free your luggage from the moving belt. They both took a step forward to help you but Jaebeom made it to your side first. "He'll be okay. Just needs time to calm down. In the meantime," he tilted his head to the side, eyes still on you, "we can make sure she's having fun."
Tumblr media
"Here, let me get that." Jaebeom reached over your shoulder, startling you in the process. As you moved aside for him, he caught a whiff of your perfume, something light and sweet. He grabbed the handle of your suitcase and yanked it off the belt.
"Thank you..." You frowned and it took him a second to realize why.
"Just call me Jay." He set the luggage down and pulled up the handle. The frown went away instantly. "I don't mind."
You fiddled with the suitcase, unable to look at him. "You sure? I don't want to disrespect you or anything in front of the others."
He shrugged and fought a smile as he slipped his hands in his pockets. "Its not like those brats care."
You smirked. "I know, I just...It's not the same is it? I'm not one of them. That and I don't wanna add to your stress if I can help it."
He found himself smiling, touched that you cared about his wellbeing. "As long as you're traveling with us, I'll treat you no differently from them." He gently bumped you with his elbow. "Just say no to Yugyeom and his stupid pranks."
"They're not stupid! As long as you have a sense of humor, they're fun!" Yugyeom pulled you away. "Don't listen to him. He's old and boring."
With a strike like lightning, Jaebeom grabbed the back of Yugyeom's neck and squeezed. "Say that again."
Soon enough everyone's baggage was found and loaded onto the shuttles going to the hotel. Due to the size of the group, they had to split up. Once again, Yugyeom and Jackson insisted on riding with you. Jaebeom caught the nasty look BamBam gave you and he was grateful that Jackson didn't see it. He didn't feel like mediating another argument so soon after the one between him and Jinyoung. The animosity was understandable to a degree. You were an outsider to most of them, and trust was a hard thing to earn in their world. However, since he'd shaken your hand he was beginning to see that Jackson had a point. People with bad intentions give off bad vibes. Ones that, as far as he could tell, you didn't have.
He told himself he'd reserve judgment until later when enough time had passed, but that handshake seemed to change something in him. Cool static had rippled throughout his body when your warm, dainty hand filled his. It'd taken every ounce of control he had to force himself to let go. Holding your hand felt right, as natural as breathing or singing.
And he could see he wasn't the only one affected. Even now you were sandwiched between Jackson and Yugyeom, discussing the things to do in Las Vegas with Jackson holding your hand and Yugyeom's arm around your shoulders. One would never guess you hadn't known them longer than a few days.
He was a romantic at heart. It was hard to say which side he took in this as he'd always imagined having a soulmate of his own. Someone meant just for him, one he didn't have to share with the others like he did everything else in his life. Was that selfish?
Thoughts like that wouldn't help him here and now. When the vans stopped outside their hotel, he remembered the brief phone call he'd had with JYP. Taejoon had predictably snitched on him, stressing that the decision to bring you along was Jaebeom's doing. As a result, any expenses that you occurred were coming out of Jaebeom's pocket. He was lucky he made a decent amount of money from royalties otherwise he'd have trouble booking and paying for your room. The need to keep it a secret from the guys wasn't entirely unfounded. He could see Jinyoung throwing a hissy fit and possibly making you feel like you needed to pitch in. For the sake of peace, it'd be his little secret.
"Here you go," he smiled handing you the key cards to your suite. "It's on the floor below us. Hopefully we won't bother you."
"Thanks—" Your fingers touched his and that soothing ripple of calmness washed over him again. "Don't worry. I've dealt with way worse than this chaos. It's almost like a mini vacation at this point."
Jackson materialized at your side, peering over your shoulder. "Is it a double? Can I room with you if it's a double?"
Jaebeom pushed him away with a hand covering his face. "Don't be eager or weird. She gets a room to herself. She'll be able to sleep in and go down to breakfast."
Jackson pushed his hand away. "But what if she gets lonely? We can't leave her here by herself."
You rubbed his arm with a look of concern Jaebeom was sure couldn't be copied by even the best actresses in the world. "I don't mind. I can't begin to imagine how busy you guys will be. I'd only slow you down and I don't wanna hear Jinyoung's mouth."
Jinyoung scoffed as he pushed by, heading for the elevators. "Wouldn't have to worry about it if you weren't here."
Three things happened simultaneously. Jackson opened his mouth to fire back as Jaebeom turned to tell Jinyoung to be nice. Yet, you beat them both to the punch by speaking up with a forced smile. "Jackson, would you like to see what my room looks like? You can walk me through the hotel room check you were telling me about on the plane."
Your sweet smile and gentle pull on Jackson's arm sucked the tension away in an instant. Jackson turned his attention back to you, eyes alight with his eagerness. "Of course!"
It was weird to have someone else be the voice of peace. The two of you started toward the elevators and Yugyeom joined, pointing at a brochure he'd picked up. BamBam and Mark joined Jinyoung leaving you three to wait for another one to come back down. Jaebeom adjusted his backpack and joined the queue. He hated that what was supposed to be a simple promotion with fanmeets was slowly dividing the group in two. Hopefully, once it was all said and done, their personal relationships would still be intact.
Tumblr media
After an intense game of rock-paper-scissors, Jaebeom and Jackson ended up sharing a room for the duration of their stay. It was the first time since they landed in America that they'd had this much time together. Jackson wanted to sneak down to your room to stay up and talk but Jaebeom wasn't having it.
"Absolutely not."
Jackson flopped down on his bed with a disappointed frown. "Come on, Jaebeom. It's just a little fun. Besides, it's not like I'm asking to sneak out of the hotel."
Jaebeom sat on the edge of his bed, phone in hand as he scrolled through the schedule for the next few days. He sighed without looking up. "It's not about having fun, Jackson. We need to be careful about how we handle things with her here."
"But she isn't like other people we've met. She's different," Jackson insisted, his voice laced with a sincerity that made Jaebeom pause. There was something different about you, something that made everyone act a bit out of character.
"Different or not," Jaebeom finally said, locking his phone and meeting Jackson's gaze. "We have to maintain some professionalism. We can't set precedents that we might regret later."
Jackson rolled onto his side, propping his head up with his hand. "You like her, don't you?"
The question was abrupt, and Jaebeom felt a defensive wall go up instinctively. "What does that have to do with anything?"
"Everything," Jackson shot back softly. "Because if you have feelings for her—even purely platonic ones—then it makes sense why you're being extra cautious. You care."
Jaebeom rubbed his temples, feeling the onset of a headache. "I just met her, Jackson."
"Love at first sight is a thing, y'know. There's nothing wrong with trusting your gut and just going with it."
He sighed deeply, hating that he had to be the one to burst Jackson's bubble. "You say that a lot don't you? Throw yourself all in for anyone who catches your eye and shows you the tiniest bit of attention and care just for, what, it all to fall apart? Love at first sight seems to leave you alone and heartbroken too often, doesn't it?"
Jackson went silent, the easy smile fading from his face as Jaebeom's words settled over him like a heavy blanket. For a moment, the room was thick with unspoken thoughts and regrets, punctuated only by the distant hum of Las Vegas beyond their window.
Finally, Jackson let out a deep breath and sat up, swinging his legs off the bed to face Jaebeom more directly. "Maybe you're right," he admitted quietly, "but every time it feels real, feels like it could be the thing that changes everything. Isn't it worth the risk?"
Jaebeom didn't answer immediately. He knew Jackson's heart was in the right place. It always was. But as their leader, it was his job to think about the consequences, to protect not just his own heart but also those of his bandmates—and now, seemingly, yours.
"Perhaps," he finally conceded, "but remember we have our responsibilities. We're here for work first." He glanced up at Jackson, noting the genuine confusion in his eyes. "Let's try to keep things simple and not complicate matters further."
Jackson nodded slowly, though his disappointment was palpable. He lay back down, staring at the ceiling. "Alright, Jaebeom. I'll keep my distance. For now."
Jaebeom felt a twinge of guilt watching Jackson's enthusiasm dim—a brightness that was rare in the often grueling routine of their industry—but he knew boundaries were essential, especially with so much at stake professionally.

Was it bad that Yugyeom wasn’t as bothered by the tears as he used to be? Now that they’d been given dummy devices to wear to keep up the ruse of “searching” he thought he’d feel even worse about lying to their fans. They truly believed they had a chance with pairing with a member of the group. It was wrong, immoral.
Yet when he filed backstage with the others, he couldn’t help but smiling when he saw you tucked away in a corner with a notebook in your lap. As everyone began to change and found a stylist, he found himself wandering over to you.
“Hey there.” He plopped down in the chair next to you and you jumped.
“Oh, jeez!” You put the hand holding the pen over your heart. After a quick glance around the room your gaze found his. “It’s over already?”

"Oh, jeez!" You put the hand holding the pen over your heart. After a quick glance around the room, your gaze found his. "It's over already?"
"It's been two hours. Have you been writing this entire time?" He leaned closer to see your notepad but you quickly hid it against your chest. "Oh, come on. It can't be that bad. May I see, please?"
You hesitated, biting your lip as you considered his request, then slowly lowered the notebook. "Only because it's you," you said with a half-smile, handing it over. "Tell no one that I let you do this."
Yugyeom's eyes lit up as he gently took the notebook from your hands. His gaze flicked across your neatly scribbled words, a mixture of excitement and curious respect etching across his features. As he read, his expression softened, and occasionally, a chuckle escaped him.
"Is this about my dandelion tattoo?"
You shrugged shyly. "I noticed it when we were on the plane. I couldn't stop thinking about it so...I put it in words."
"This is really pretty." Yugyeom said sincerely, looking up at you with admiration. "The way you describe it makes me even happier that I got it. And this part," he pointed to a line in the middle of the page, "where you talk about how music can be a person's dandelion—it's beautiful."
Flattered by his compliments, he watched as your cheeks deepened in color as you fought the smile. "Thank you, Yugyeom. That means a lot coming from you."
He nodded and handed back the notebook. "You should keep writing. Who knows? Maybe one day you'll write a song for us."
The idea made you laugh softly, the sound mingling with the constant buzz of activity around you. "Oh sure. Maybe I will," you agreed playfully.
Yugyeom stood up just as one of the staff members called him over. Before he left, he turned to face you again. "Don't forget us when you become a famous writer," he joked with a wink.
"I won't," you promised, watching him walk away before turning back to your poetry.

Genre: Demon/Mafia AU, Romance, Smut
Rating: M
Summary: Jaebeom and Yugyeom are "running an errand" when the most delectable scent that he ever smelled hit Yugyeom like a ton of bricks. Yugyeom stops JayB and soon he smells it. They look across the street and see the her. They stalk her for awhile and finally get the chance to manufacture a meet with her.
Wattpad | AO3    (will likely always update these 2 places first)
Navigation: Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3
Despite their busy and immortal lives, the boys try to have dinner together as often as possible. Gathering around the large oak table in their dining room, they share laughs and stories of the day. Relaxing and unwinding as a family.
"So, maknaes," Jaebeom starts. "I hear you had to provide some backup on Canal. How did that go?"
"We went to see Selah. I'm so sorry," Youngjae immediately folds and bows his head, hoping to be spared.
Bam sucks his teeth. "Youngjae, what the fuck man?"
"You did what?" Jaebeom asks calmly. Too calm.
The sound of silverware hitting plates echoed in the now quiet room.
"Aw shit, boys, why did you do that?" Mark asks.
"We only wanted to see her." Yugyeom adds with a pout. "We didn't even talk to her." He says leaning towards Youngjae.
Jinyoung must've caught that because he immediately followed up. "Bam. What about you?"
"Whatever. I talked to her. And I got her number."
All the older brothers sigh. Jaebeom continues to look. His chin starts to protrude.
"Son, why did you do that when we have her number?" Mark asked.
"I'm sorry, were we going to start texting her and tell her we looked up everything about her beforehand?" He laid it out. "I'm playing the boyfriend game." He leans back, looking proud of himself.
Jaebeom was pissed, but he was trying not to show it. He had a plan, and this... He stands, pushing his chair back to leave. "I'm going out."
"Either you've messed up so badly that he needs to go prepare to send you back or..." Jackson pauses. "Actually, I don't know what else he could be doing. Nice knowing you, Bam. I'll see you in 50 years."
Jinyoung chimes in with a disapproving tone, "You do know Jackson went to meet her as well? What will she think? We're meant to be playing this smart, and you've gone and added another complication to the situation. Yeah, Jaebeom should send you back."
"I fucked up, huh?" Bam says, hanging his head.
Mark, though known for his temper, is actually quite gentle with his brothers. Particularly the younger ones, and tries to comfort them. "Did you fuck up? Yes. But it will be okay. JB won't send you back."
"He might strangle you, though." Jackson says he is taking a bite of his food.
Mark gives him a 'stop that' look.
"What? Bammie, I invited Selah to the club. How do we explain to her that out of pure coincidence, she met both of us on the same day and that we know each other? You might have to miss the opening."
Bam lets out a puff of air ready to protest.
"That's actually not a bad idea." Jinyoung says. "You three will not be at the opening."
The younger ones begin to protest. Jinyoung holds his hand up and says, "Save it. This is perfect. Perhaps Jaebeom won't murder you if we can salvage this."
_____________________________________________________________
The weekend arrives, and everybody is a bundle of nerves. After adjusting plans, the boys feel like they're actually in a better place. Feeling that perhaps it would be easier to introduce her to four of them versus all seven.
The maknaes are on warehouse duty for the night, and they couldn't have been more sour about it.
"I can't believe I let you talk me into going with you. Now look at me." Youngjae pouts, looking into the distance.
Bam rolls his eyes and says, "Well, you hardly put up a fight at a gentle suggestion."
Yugyeom chuckles a bit. "You did come along pretty easily. We should just be happy we didn't get banished."
"Valid point. But I want to meet her now." Youngjae says.
Yugy juts his lip out, "Me too."
"Yeah she's great. Glad I talked to her when I did." Bam says proudly.
The other two side eye him.
_____________________________________________________________
Selah arrives at the club accompanied by her friend Brianca. She's feeling good about how she looks. The little black dress she has on is her favorite among the many in her closet. The tiny straps sit upon her glittering shoulders. The bodice fits tight on her chest with a side split that causes the material to lay nicely over her ass. Matched with a flattering pair of heels that elongate her legs and strap around her ankles is giving her a confidence boost. Not to mention, she smelled amazing.
She's hoping to see Jackson. Bam hasn't texted her. Which made her a bit sad, as she was hoping he would. But she figured she would at least have a good time, get her mind off the week, and look good if for nobody but herself
"Girl, this club is nice!" Brianca says to Selah. "And you said he's the owner?"
"That's what he said. So I'm not sure I'll easily bump into him." Selah responds by surveying the area.
"Let's get a drink!" Brianca suggests.
At the bar, Brianca has already been approached by a couple of guys and is chatting one up. She has a very inviting aura, so it's no surprise she's already deep in conversations.
At one point she leans over to Selah, "omg girl. This is that guy I told you about. That I went out with a couple of weeks ago." "The one with the.." Selah wiggles her brows.
"Yes him." Brianca exclaims trying not to let him hear.
Selah chuckles, "well it looks like you're in for a wild night."
"Here's hoping." Brianca cheers with her friend and turns back to her presumed date for the evening.
As Selah is enjoying her cocktail, she feels a gentle touch on her shoulder that sends shivers throughout her body. Looking to her left, she sees Jackson. Managing her reaction, she doesn't smile too hard. "Jackson, hi."
"Selah, you made it." He's grinning from ear to ear. He takes a second to look her up and down. Without realizing it, he's licking his lips. "You look amazing."
This causes her to blush hard and look away briefly. "Thank you. You look great yourself, and your club is amazing."
"Thank you. I spotted you and wanted to be sure I had a chance to speak while things were going smoothly."
He needed to get her away from her friend and up to the private room. He can tell she cares about her and won't want to leave her alone or unsafe. But it appears luck was on his side.
"Brianca." Selah is turning to get her friend's attention to introduce her to Jackson. "This is Ja-."
But she's being lead to the dance floor by the guy she was chatting with. She looks back and smiles big at her friend. Quickly surveying the guy next to Selah she gives her a 'go get em' look.
"Well I was going to introduce you but nevermind I guess." She laughs.
Jackson sighs internally with relief, "No worries, we can meet later. She looks like a good time."
"Oh she's a blast in a glass. She'll be entertained for hours."
"In that case, would you like me to show you around?" Jackson asks as he holds his hand out for her.
"Sure. I'd like that, we sort of b-lined to the music, so I haven't seen the rest."
He leads her through the crowd and back toward the foyer. The place is actually quite large with a few different areas. One being the bigger bar and dance floor area they just left. Jackson shows her around the bottom floor. Even showing her a few behind the scene places before leading her into a lounge area. It's decorated in gold, with soft lighting and slow music, this makes for a nice area to chat.
"One of my brothers designed this room. He thought it would be a good idea to add an area that was much less chaotic than the traditional club atmosphere." Jackson explained.
"Oh you have a brother?" Selah asks.
"Yes, six actually." He leads her to the bar to order himself a drink. "Would you like anything?"
"Whatever you're having. Unless it's vodka." She makes a disgusting face.
Jackson chuckles and signals to the bartender, "please send over two glasses of Hennessy and ice. Thanks T."
"You got it boss." The bartender responds.
Jackson turns his attention to Selah, "Come, let's have a seat."
Settling in, Jackson takes this time to get a really good look at her. She's perfect. They begin a back and forth conversation that flows with ease. He asks her questions about herself that he already knows the answers to, but he loves hearing her talk, so this isn't a problem.
She asks about his business endeavors and he explains to her how he owns this a few other nightclubs. He mentions the corporation that his family runs, not the illegal things, obviously.
"So you have 6 brothers. That had to be hectic growing up." Selah comments.
"You could say that again. We're not exactly blood brothers, more very close friends, but we're brothers in just about every other way. We sort of came together at different times but we've been together ever since." She's listening intently. Jackson hasn't even used his gifts to any degree and she's already hooked on his every word. "Three of them are here now. I was hoping to introduce you actually. They've been dying to meet you."
"Oh, you've told them about me?" She's shocked, they only met briefly. "And you want me to meet them?"
He smiles and grabs her hand, gently caressing it. "Of course, we tell each other everything. So when I met a gorgeous woman, I told them immediately."
She was a bit hesitant but the moment Jackson touches her, she gets those same shivers. Being near Jackson, she finds herself alot more willing to go along with just about anything he says. Especially when he touches her.
She blushes, "Okay, sure."
He beams at her, "You're going to love them."
"I should text my friend and let her know."
This irritates Jackson. But he hides his displeasure. "Sure, no problem. "
He needs her alone and he didn't want to manipulate her to do it but this is becoming tedious. How do normal people live like this.
"Oh, she actually messaged to say she left with that guy. I must've missed it. I guess i'm all yours." Selah explains.
"Perfect." Jackson stands and extends his hand to help her up.
_____________________________________________________________
Leading her out of the lounge and through the club to the stairs, Selah feels lightheaded. She feels as if she's walking to another world. The decor is also darker upstairs. The walls are a blood red velvet with black damask patterning. The lighting is low and the music from downstairs is faded and becomes more faint the deeper they walk.
"Continuing the tour," Jackson starts. "This top floor has a few private rooms that special guests can use, as well as the offices."
He stops at a door at the end of the hall and on the other side, Selah knows deep down, everything will change once she steps in. Jackson opens the door and gestures for her to enter.
The room is spacious, continuing the same dark motif, but the colors are a darker green and black with gold accents. There's a full-sized bar and and lounge area with a large window across the way for a view of the entire dance floor from above.
And scattered about the room are three of the finest men Selah has ever seen, apart from Jackson. It nearly takes her breath away. They are dressed in finely tailored suits, like Jackson, and they have this something about them she can't quite put her finger on. Maybe this was a mistake. She thinks.
Jackson places his hand on the small of her back and moves her further into the room, "Selah, these are three of my brothers." He points to one at the bar with a short haircut and a dazzling smile that warms her heart. "This is Mark, the oldest."
"Hello gorgeous, lovely to meet you." He finishes making his drink and comes to settle in a chair next to the couch.
"And this absolute cutie..." pointing to other one with a short haircut. His lips grab her attention and she can't help but stare at them. He chuckles slightly and bites his bottom lip. She had to stop her knees from giving out. Did he do that on purpose. "...is Jinyoung."
He rolls his eyes, "Could you not introduce me that way." He gives her a smile staring directly in her eyes making her melt.
"Why? Is he not adorable Selah?" Jackson turns to ask her. She blushes from being put on the spot. Jackson laughs. "And lastly but certainly not least, this is Jaebeom. He is our leader."
Calling this man gorgeous would be an understatement. With longer hair styled perfectly sitting across his neck. Selah couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to run her fingers through it. She's cursing herself for how hard she is crushing on her crush's brothers.
He nods her direction. "Nice to meet you Selah, you can call me Jay B."
Her head swims. "Nice to meet you all"
"Come let's sit." Jackson moves them to a loveseat next to Jaebeom and across from Mark. Jinyoung has his eyes trained on her.
All four of them are drawing her in, with their confidence and captivating aura. But just beyond that is something tugging at her, whispering danger. She's watching herself wade further into the waters. What is happening...

The Bad Boy: Im Jaebeom
Tumblr media
It was the senior prank day and that usually meant chaos! Last year some students toilet papered the school oak tree! God knows what was gonna happen this year! The pranks got more extravagant as the years passed! You walked into school a little weary of what you’d find! You held your binder close to you ready to bat away anything that might be about to splatter, explode or spray in your direction. You didn’t wanna take any chances and stayed away from the most crowded places in the school. To your confusion, the day passed pretty normally although every time you turned a corner you thought a bucket would land on your head. You checked your phone to make sure that the date was right. It was. So where were the pranks? Where was the screaming, running and laughing? You were slightly disappointed at this year’s turnout. You didn’t have to be for long. You were walking down the corridor of the beauty studies block, when someone grabbed you by the hand and pulled you into the nearest empty classroom! You closed your eyes in terrified anticipation!
“Why are you closing your eyes?” Asked a voice laced with laughter. You peeked through your eyelashes and saw… oh nooo. Jaebeom, panting in front of you. His three piercings sparkling as they dangled from his ears. Get a run in with him and you were either in trouble with him or because of him and he didn’t care about either. You definitely didn’t want to get in trouble because of him and you didn’t much like the idea of being stuck in summer detention WITH him either. “I thought…you would throw something at me…cos, you know, Prank day.” You said meekly still flinching against the wall.
He bent down so you were at eye level. “Really now,” he said coyly “And what did you think I would throw?”
“I don’t know,” You said shakily “Eggs?”
“Did you really think I would be that sloppy?” He asked you through breathless chuckles, “Eggs? Really?! This isn’t 1985.” You felt a little stung.
“Well, you didn’t. That’s the main thing.” You said as you straightened up. You eyed the door, thinking of any excuse to put 1000 kilometres between you two. It wasn’t worth your college application to stay near him. “Listen,” you said quickly.
“This has been great and all but- “
“Today’s your lucky day Y/N! You’re gonna be my accomplice!” said Jaebeom smirking.
“I have managed to get through today without getting pelted, attacked drenched or jumpscared. I’m not gonna stop that streak.” You said backing away.
“And I’m not getting caught and put in detention on Senior Prank Day either, at least, not alone,” said Jaebeom. “So, either you help me keep my streak or lose your squeaky clean rep. Your choice.” He folded his arms his arms, smirking, and waited for your response. You hung your head.
He chuckled and then, and then turning around in front of you said, “How do I look?”
You glanced at him quickly, “That’s a dumb question, you know you always look…” then you actually took a good look at him and was surprised to see that he was…well…scruffy! It was like he had been rolling around in a barn; feathers and bits of straw were hanging from his hair and clothes.
“Well, I have to say you don’t look as good as you usually do.”
“You think I look good?” said Jaebeom smirking triumphantly at the annoyance on your face.
“You know that’s not what I me- “
“I ran into a little chicken trouble.” He said cutting you off your excuse.
“Chicken trouble?” You began to ask curiously, then shaking your head said quickly “Actually don’t tell me. The less I know the better.”
“So, are you gonna help me or not?”
“I haven’t got a choice, have I?” You sighed defeated, “What do you want me to do?”
“It’s obvious, isn’t it? Help clean me up?”
“I don’t carry that sort of stuff with me.” You said holding out your hands to indicate they were empty.
“Look around you” he said “We’re in the beauty block.”
“Yeah, but all the beauty supplies are locked up af-“ you never got to finish your sentence. Jaebeom had found a hair pin picked the lock of the supply closet and was taking out spray, a hair dryer, some product and a comb.
“Now can you clean me up?”
Sighing, you began to brush his head roughly with your hand; trying to finish your task as soon as possible.
“Jeez! Why are you being so heavy handed?” winced Jaebeom, shielding his head from any more of your swipes.
“Cry-baby.” You muttered under your breath, but you took the straw and feathers out of his hair gentler, making sure not to miss a single strand. When it was all out of his hair, you took the comb, slicked his hair back and sprayed it so it would stay in place. “All done! Now can I leave?!” you said impatiently. Without saying a word to you he stuck his head around the door.
“Not just yet” he said, looking over your shoulder. “Miss F is walking down the hall.”
“That’s not my problem!” you said defiantly  You turned to leave but he suddenly spun you around and held you close, his hands on your hips and your noses almost touching.  You went to push him away, but he held firm staring in your eyes with an intensity you had never seen before, he said slowly and quietly  “Just look this way.” You heard the door open.
“Honestly, Jaebeom? Here?” Said the teacher. She gestured towards where you both stood.
“Well, what can I do Miss?” Said Jaebeom with a smirk “We needed somewhere more…private for our date! People were running around everywhere!” You turned red and resisted the urge to gag. If you got in trouble because of him…
“I really didn’t need to know” Said Miss F, “You wouldn’t have anything to do with 12 chickens would you?” You choked! So THAT explains the chicken trouble.
“Nothing Miss.” Said Jaebeom innocently.  She eyed him suspiciously, of course she wouldn’t believe a word he said, he was IM JAEBEOM!
“So, what’s all THAT on the floor?” she asked looking at the mess of straw and feathers from Jaebeom’s hair. He opened his mouth to speak but you jumped in quickly,
“That was me, Miss!! You told me to work on my texturing in art class so I decided to use feathers, sorry for the confusion.” and you hastily bent to pick them up. It didn’t sound believable to you at all but you hoped and prayed to all the gods that she would fall for it; and anyway, you weren’t lying, she HAD asked you to work on your texturing in art class.
“I see…” the teacher said quietly. It seemed to you that she was deciding whether to believe this lie, “Well, whatever the case get out of the classroom you know  they’re out of bounds at lunchtime.” And with that she left the room.
“Happy chicken hunting Miss!” called Jaebeom after her. When you were sure she had gone you stood up and stared incredulously at him,
“I swear to God Jaebeom! You let loose twelve chickens in the school?!”
Jaebeom chuckled “Nope, I let loose 11.”
“So why- “
“We tagged them, but we purposely missed out number eleven and wrote twelve instead! They’ll be looking for that twelfth chicken for hours!” Then he considered you “You’re a good sport you know.” He said, looking over you. “I like your quick thinking!”
“I didn’t have a choice!” you said exasperated.
“Be honest with yourself. You like the thrill.”
“Not a bit.” You replied adamantly.
“We’ll see…” he said tentatively. He winked and left the room. UGH! Jaebeom! At least you didn’t get caught.
“Chickens, that really did top last year’s oak tree situation…” You muttered to yourself, “Clever of them to mis-tag the chickens!” You laughed quietly at how Senior Prank day had gone. Definitely not how you had expected. At that moment your phone buzzed with a text from an unknown number
“Told you 😉-JB.”

Golden Boy - Chapter 15: The Mirror
This morning was easier than the day before, Jungkook realized as he pulled himself out of bed. Once again, there was the smell of breakfast food filling the air around him as he pulled a pair of jeans and a clean shirt from his backpack. It was the last clean set of clothes he had. Yugyeom had told him they’d only be gone for a few days, so he hadn’t packed much.
He figured that it was probably a sign that it was about time to go home. Maybe he should head back to the city tomorrow. He still didn’t feel ready. He didn’t want to have to confront the things that had been left unfinished in Seoul.
Jungkook wasn’t oblivious to the fact that he was the gray cloud that hung over everyone and everything in the pack’s house. He had noticed how conversations became hushed when he walked into the room and when Yugyeom was clearly changing the subject to something less sensitive for him.
But it was time to get over it. Life sucked and was completely unfair sometimes. That was a lesson he learned time and time again. There was nothing to be done about the terrible cards fate had decided to deal him.

Meeting Yugyeom marked the end of an era, the end of my year long heartbreak, the closing chapter of the mopey life I lived up until that point.
He was the beginning of my sunshine, the reason I could walk with a skip in my step, it was the beginning of me feeling like myself again.
I met him at a gala, but not how you would expect. He wasn't one of our family friend's guest, in fact, he had nothing to do with Choi Youngjae's family at all, except maybe the fact he was their employee for that night. Yugyeom was a server for the party the day I met him.
I was in an emotional fit when he saw me at the gardens and he immediately felt awkward since he went outside to take a break from the stuffy atmosphere inside.
For a moment, he kept his silence, up until he decided it would be downright rude to just stand there within a few feet from me and not say anything.
"Did one of the snobby kids in the party fight you, or something?" Yugyeom tries with a lighthearted voice, hoping it would be better than asking if I was okay, when I clearly was not.
I jolted at the sudden sound of his voice, and managed a look at him. Since I was pathetic and prone to self-deprecation during this time, I simply agreed and casually stated, "yeah, my ex-fiancĂŠ was there with his next bride-to-be. It felt like I was the butt of everyone's joke, so yeah, I'd say it was a fight."
Yugyeom was not expecting that. But he did know about the dude who was flaunting his fiancĂŠ. How could he not when he was so bigheaded about her dress for tonight and the assests her father had. So, Yugyeom placed his pockets in his hands and asked, "was it that moron in the Im family? What's his face, Jaehyun? Jaeyoon, Jae-"
"Jaebum," I say, sniffling, "how'd you know?"
Yugyeom scoffs, "how could I not. He's a prick, even he knows it. Honestly, you're better off. The dude can't tip for his life. How is someone so rich yet so stingy."
I chuckle, shaking my head at the thought, "he wasn't always like that."
"Oh, baby," Yugyeom says out of instinct, it meant nothing to either person in the conversation, "don't defend him. He's not worth it."
It was at this moment, Yugyeom and I finally look at each other. Even with bloodshot eyes and a semi-runny nose, he decided in his head the view was beautiful. He suddenly felt even more annoyed by the idea of Im Jaebum.
"Thanks," I say, wiping my nose, "you gave me enough confidence to walk back in all the way to my car."
Yugyeom knits his brows, "what? Where you planning on camping here for the night?"
I chuckle, "I'm friends with the Choi's. It wouldn't be the first time I slept in their garden, although this time, intentional."
We both share a laugh. Yugyeom felt compelled to make the atmosphere ever more relaxed than it already was, and so he said, "I'll trade you a couple secrets, since you told me some."
Both a brow and a corner of my lips quirked up upon hearing this, "which part of the conversation did I tell you any secret?"
"The part where you talked about your ex and the fact you got shitfaced enough to sleep on grass."
"Hold on," I raise a finger, "I never said I was shitfaced, nor did I sleep on the g-"
"Whatever," Yugyeom laughs, "I got you rich kids all figured out."
Instantly, I feel standoffish and borderline provoked by this, but I keep it cool and only cross my arms as I throw him a face, "do you now."
"Yep," he pops the P, "you're the really rich type that doesn't even notice the fact that I accidentally stole caviar from the last party the Choi's had."
"Wait, wait," I feel my jaw drop, "how do you accidentally steal-"
"I was fixing my hair in the kitchen," Yugyeom immediately explains, "I had a jar of wax and I placed it on the counter top. I fix my hair, throw the jar back in my bag, except when I got to my gig, it was a fucking jar of caviar and not my hair wax."
I break into a laugh. Yugyeom watches my expression and matches my giggles. I shake my head and wave a hand, "wait, I have so many questions."
Yugyeom's watch beeps. He turns to his wrist and stops it, "well, they're gonna have to wait cause my break just ended."
"Oh, right... it was nice-"
"Do you want to get drinks with me after this?"
I am so stunned by his confidence that I nearly forget that he asked me a question. It takes him smiling at me, urging a response by saying, "any second now," as he did a small hop in his place. I break into another chuckle, feeling the need to wipe my nose, suddenly realizing I had just been crying before talking to him. Contrary to the voice I had in my head saying it was a bad idea, I quickly nodded my head and smiled back, "sure. I... I don't have anything better to do anyway."
That small voice in my head was wrong, getting drinks with Yugyeom after that party was the best thing that ever happened to me in a long time.
He and I would hang out every weekend, and he would take me to underground art shows, rap battles, and even dances showcases where he would perform.
I would learn when he wasn't hustling for extra money, he was dancing, either professionally as a backup dancer, a teacher, or in competitions.
Slowly he was seeping deeper and deeper into my world. The causal greetings I would give him if he wound up being a waiter at another party I was invited to would turn into shy smiles from across the room. The casual hangouts we had on weekends blossomed into much awaited dates that ended with kisses and promises of meeting next week.
Still, as much as my heart thumped at the sight of him, we were taking it slow and labels were sort of up in the air. I mean, goodness, he was close enough to me that he became friends with my brother. He was close enough with me that my brother trusted Yugyeom enough to drive me home when he was too drunk to do so.
So during one party on my older brother's yacht, said older brother Jackson put me in quite a tough spot, especially considering he personally invited Yugyeom after hanging out with him enough.
It seems in all of this time Jackson has seen me with Yugyeom, he didn't notice that I was practically making googly eyes at him, cause what did he do? He sets me up with Bambam.
Bam. Bam.
"Hi, Bambam," I chuckle, awkwardly reciprocating the hug initiated. Bambam was dressed to the nines, like he always was, glasses, leather shoes, gold watch, and all.
Jackson was watching from afar, arm around Yugyeom as he squealed and shook his friend, "I have a good feeling about this."
Yugyeom could only watch with disdain.
"That bastard Jaebum really did a number on her, but I think, since she's been talking about going out on dates lately, she might be ready to date again."
Yugyeom grinds his teeth, "she's been talking about going dates?"
Jackson turns to Yugyeom, the hand that was not around his friend was holding a drink, "yeah. She told me she was thinking about dating again, and I said I knew exactly the person she'd be into."
Yugyeom scoffs, "and Bambam is that?"
Jackson takes a swig of his drink, "duhhh! He's around her age, and he went to the same school she did. He's also in charge of the same department she handles in our company, so yeah. Match made in heaven, don't you think, Gyeom?"
Yugyeom, who was annoyed by the fact Jackson totally looked over him initially, suddenly felt like he was put in his place. He was none of those things. He didn't even finish going to university. He watched as Bambam nodded his head causally, making the neatly pressed clothes on his body move just a bit at the action. Then he looked at his ripped jeans and worn out combat boots, then suddenly he was acutely aware of how out of place he really was in all this.
The Wang siblings were gracious enough to make him delude himself into thinking he had a shot at getting the girl he liked.
He didn't know if it was the yacht ride or the realization that make him feel like barfing.
Yugyeom weighs the chances he has to get to shore if he just jumps off here and now.
"I'm going to the bathroom," he tells Jackson. Jackson nods and pulls away, moving on to mingle with the rest of his guests.
Yugyeom makes his way to the tiny bathroom and looks at his reflection for a solid minute. He splashes water on his face and wipes it off with bottom of his old band t-shirt.
He is surprised by whom he meets once he exits the room.
"Hey," I chirp. The smile on my face deflates when Yugyeom returns a gloomy gaze.
I find myself frowning, "are you okay? Are you seasick?"
"No..." he shakes his head. He can't help but feel tingly at the concern, and so he involuntarily chuckles in endearment, "I'm fine."
"Well, you don't look fine," I counter, offering a wide-eyed look. Suddenly, as he shifts in his place to lean against the wall, I realize something, "is this because of Bambam?"
Yugyeom, in all his casual confidence, tenses, nonverbally answering me.
"Hey," I sigh, catching his hand in mine. Yugyeom feels his entire being burn at the slightest of contact. I knit my brows, "Jackson's just trying to help me."
Yugyeom can't meet my gaze, "I know..." he offers a half-hearted smile, "he's right... you should end up with someone like Bambam."
"What?"
Yugyeom straightens himself up and tightens his hold on my hand. He looks down on me and sighs, "You're out of my atmosphere. Come on, we met at a party where I was a waiter. We're worlds apart."
I look at him with an incredulous expression, "the air pressure up there must have finally gotten to your head, huh," I mock, ripping my hand away from him to cross my arms.
He is unamused.
I sigh, "Gyeomie, do you honestly think if I cared about that, I would have my heart race when I'm around you like I always do."
"Well-" he cuts himself off once he realizes exactly what I said, "your heart races when I'm around."
I shudder out, "unfortunately yes, and you don't seem to want to take responsibility."
Yugyeom is at a loss for words. He opens his mouth and raises his hand, "I do. I do. I so do."
"Alright then," I hold back a smile, "I've told you a secret, now you tell me one."
Yugyeom perks up at that and immediately leans down as he places his hands on my shoulders. He peppers the side of my face, down to my neck with kisses, causing me to curl up at the sensation and giggle at the ticklish feeling. He pushes hair behind my ear then whispers, "I really, really, really want you to be my girlfriend."

Pairing: Yugyeom x barista gn!Reader
Genre: Fluff, light crack
Warnings: mentions of blood and injuries, nothing serious
WC: 813
Summary: Yugyeom...is a hot mess. But maybe it's worth it.
-
Yugyeom…is a hot mess. If you could describe him in three words, that would be all the vocabulary you need. He stays up indescribably late, he ignores his allergies in favour of getting pets and not cleaning his house, the list is just too long. You’d think as a twenty-three-year-old he would have some basic life skills down. But alas. He does not.
Take now, for instance. Yugyeom is standing in line at a local cafe, and yet he doesn’t know what to order. And instead of looking at the menu, he’s staring at the case of bagels, hoping that maybe that would spark some inspiration as to what to order.
“I can take the next customer!” Shit. Yugyeom walks up to the register and it definitely doesn’t help that the employee is adorable, with a wide smile and sparkling eyes. Look, Yugyeom’s a fucking simp, all right? “Hi, what can I get you today?”
“Um.” Yugyeom’s panicking. “Can I have a black coffee with…um…caramel?”
The barista nods, lips pressed together to avoid laughing at Yugyeom’s questionable order. Still cute. Their name tag reads (Y/N) and Yugyeom mouths the name, letting it roll off his tongue. (Silently though, he doesn’t think he could take even more embarrassment.) “Would you like anything else with that?”
“No, thanks.” The pin pad beeps and Yugyeom goes to slide his card. He swipes it cleanly once. Then twice. Then a third time. Why isn’t his card working? Yugyeom panics harder, sliding it once more.
“You’re sliding the wrong side,” (Y/N) kindly interjects, a smile still on their face. Yugyeom clamps his mouth shut and he can hear his teeth clack together as he flips his card and tries once more.
Again with the error. Yugyeom sweats and he might actually cry if this keeps up. (Y/N) is staring at the keypad, smile gone, with a look that Yugyeom can’t quite name on their face. Probably confusion at how this grown man can’t seem to swipe a card correctly. “Um…you’re now swiping the card upside down.”
Yugyeom wishes really, really hard that he could just disappear on the spot. But alas, the world is against him today and any other day. “Sorry,” he mumbles out instead, swiping the card correctly this time.
“That’s all right,” (Y/N) smiles kindly, “I’ve had those days too.” Yugyeom offers a wobbly smile in return, turning to leave so that the next customer can order.
Except…as previously mentioned…the world is working against him. He trips over his own feet and crashes right into the pastry display. A loud, resounding crack is heard and Yugyeom regrets deciding to even step out of his apartment for the day. He slowly lifts his head from where he smacked it against the counter and winces at the large crack going through the glass pane. He’s glad it didn’t shatter but…he sighs at the amount he will have to pay to repair that.
“Oh, my God,” he can hear them gasp. “Jinyoung, come out here and take orders. Someone fell down.” Yugyeom silently appreciates how they didn’t call attention to how it was definitely his fault that he fell. He carefully sits back up, eyes trained on the floor as a sense of defeat overcomes him.
A warm hand touches his shoulder gently. “Sorry,” Yugyeom mumbles out before they can say anything, not even looking up from the floor. “I’ll pay for the damages.”
“Don’t worry about that,” (Y/N) tells him, “we’ll figure that out later. Come to the back and sit down, your head’s bleeding.”
Yugyeom nods and lets them lead him into the backroom, where they sit him down and quickly run to grab a cool, damp towel. As they press it to his head, they cluck their tongue and sigh, and Yugyeom feels the need to apologise. “I’m sorry,” he whispers. “I don’t know why I’m so clumsy today.”
They laugh a little. “It’s okay, it happens to the best of us. I just hope you’re not too badly hurt, yeah?” They subconsciously drum their fingers against his head and a shiver runs down Yugyeom’s spine.
“Thank you,” he mumbles out again and smiles up at them shyly from underneath his bangs. “...Could I buy you a coffee?”
(Y/N)'sr eyes crinkle as they return his smile. “Sorry, I don’t drink coffee.” His heart almost stops in embarrassment for the second time today, but then they continue talking. “But I wouldn’t be opposed to tea.”
“Tea? I could do that. When are you off? We could go to that new place across the street?” Yugyeom’s shy and he just knows if his roommates catch wind of this the teasing will never end.
“It’s a date.”
Yugyeom falls off the chair but even through the sound of their laughter, he can’t help but grin. Maybe his ineptitude is worth it.

Type: Fluff/Slight Angst
Character: Kim Yugyeom x Reader
Words Counted: 3k2+
MASTERLIST . ask/request
You were working on your kitchen table when suddenly you heard the doorbell rang.
“Hang on a second!” You shouted, trying to finish what you were writing on your notepad. You dropped your pen as you were finished before you could scramble yourself towards the door. As soon as you opened the door, you were greeted by a pair of arms wrapped around you, lifting you from the floor. You were surprised but quickly wrapped your arms around his neck with a giggle.
It was your best friend, Kim Yugyeom. You haven’t seen him for 3 months since he’s an international superstar, touring around the world. It was truly a surprised by his visit since he didn’t even tell you that he was back in town.
You could feel Yugyeom hugging you tighter as he brought you back inside, kicking the door closed behind him. He placed you back to the ground once you both were inside.
“I missed you!” He smiled down to you, since he was much more taller than you.
“I missed you too! You’ve been really busy lately.” You told him.
“I know, I’m sorry, but I’m here to make it up to you!” He said excitedly.
He looked over towards the dining table, noticing your laptop and spreadsheets across the table.
           “You’re working?” He asked.
You shook your head, letting go from his embrace, walking towards the table before sitting on your spot.
“Um… yeah, just getting stuff done.” You told him, tidying everything up.
“If you want to work first, it’s okay, I’ll wait for you.” He said opening the cabinet where you keep all the cups and glasses. He took one glass before he could take some ice and pour himself some soda.
“No, it’s fine, I can work on them tomorrow.” You told him, as you saved all of your files.
Yugyeom then sat on the chair across from you, taking a sip of his drink. You closed your laptop before could get up and grabbed the glass from Yugyeom finishing the drink.
“You could’ve grabbed one yourself.” He said.
“I don’t want to pile up my dishes.” You told him, pouring the soda to the glass before handing it to Yugyeom. You sat back down on your chair.
“So, what’s up?” You asked him.
“I want to take you out.” Yugyeom said, giving you a bright grin.
You raised your eyebrow but you could feel your heart pounding on your chest.
“What do you mean take me out? Like on a date?” You laughed, but you quickly wanted to know the answer.
“Yeah, something like that…” He shrugged his shoulders. “What do you want to do?”
You looked up, as if you’re thinking of an activity you wanted to do with Yugyeom. You then opened some cabinets and the fridge before turning around, pressing your lips together.
“Wait just a second.” You then rushed towards the guest bathroom before trotting to your room. Checking on your toiletries and other necessities.
You walked out from your room as Yugyeom turned to you.
“I need to do some grocery shopping.” You told him.
“Okay… then what else?” Yugyeom asked.
“Let’s just go out shopping, then we can figure out what to do then.” You suggested.
Yugyeom nodded his head agreeing on your plan.
“Sounds like a plan, get yourself ready then! I don’t have much time you know.” He winked at you with a smile. And with that you walked back to your room to change your clothes.
You decided to put on a white t-shirt with an overalls over it. You tied your hair into a messy bun, pulling some strands down. You put on a white sneaker and brought your tote bag that matched its color.
“Ready.” You said walking out from your room. Yugyeom smiled grew as his eyes landed on you.
“How do I look?” You asked him, looking from your toes then up to his eyes.
“I would say something to insult you, but you look beautiful than ever.” He said, walking closer to you, pushing some strands of your hair behind your ear.
You could feel your cheeks heating with a smile.
“Come on, let’s go before we hit the traffic.” He said, grabbing your hand leading you out from your home.
Yugyeom told him about his tour along the way. It seems like every story he tells you was always exciting to him. He pats your thigh when he got to the best part, and you could see how bright he was. You laughed at how silly the story gets when he told you about how he pranked Jackson with Bam Bam.
            “I miss Bam… How’s everyone?” You asked.
Yugyeom looked from left to right before he could make a turn, his eyes focusing on the road. “Everybody’s great, Jinyoung is having meeting on his acting role, Jaebum is sulking himself in the studio, Bam is hitting the gym, Youngjae, Jackson and Mark are living the life.” Yugyeom listed.
“And how are you? I haven’t asked that.” You leaned yoru face closer to Yugyeom.
“I’m happy as ever, because I’m here with you.” He turned to you with a smile.
Yugyeom parked his car before turning of the engine. You both got out from the car and went inside the supermarket.
Yugyeom totted to get a cart as you tried to rake your brain to remember what you need.
“This is why you need a list of the things you need to get” Yugyeom rolled his eyes as he rested his chin on top of your head.
“Shut it, I remember on what I should get.” You told him, stepping away from him.
Yugyeom cling on you for the rest of the day. He would sometimes wrap his arm around you, or maybe joked around that came out so flirtatious. You tried your best not to be pulled by his charms and flirt, and you try to control your rapid beating heartbeat.
“Yugyeom, people are looking…” You whispered, pushing his hands away. When the truth is you don’t want him to let you go.
He stepped away from you acting hurt. “I’ve been away from you… for 3 months, and I can’t hug you while I’m with you? I am hurt!” He acted and you just roll your eyes. When you were picking up toiletries stuff, you realized Yugyeom wasn’t by your side. You pushed cart as you try to look for Yugyeom when you finally found him by the snack aisle.
“Yugyeom…” You walked closer to him, pushing the cart as he turned to you.
“What? I know you’ll be snacking.” He said placing all the snacks in his hands into the cart.
“Yeah, but not this much!” You told him, but you couldn’t help but to say yes to it.
He raised his eyebrow. “(Y/N), sometimes I feel like I know you better than you know yourself… you’ll be finishing all of this by the end of the month!” He told you and you burst into laugheter.
“Alright fine.” You shook your head. He then went to one shelf and picked something up.
“I know this is your favorite, so I thought I’d throw these in too.” He said putting it in the cart. “You got everything that you need?” He asked.
You looked down to your cart that is almost full. “Um… I think that’s all, I hope I didn’t left anything.” You said, biting your bottom lip.
           “Then let’s go!”
As the cashier was scanning all of your stuff and the man beside her helped to place everything into the shopping bag. Yugyeom suddenly stood close to you. you reflexively wrap your arms around his and he placed his hand on your hip.
“I have an idea.” He told you.
You looked up to him, raising both of your eyebrows.
“Let’s just get some meals to go, and stay at your place.” He suggested.
“You just want to stay in?” You asked him and he nodded his head.
“My body isn’t fully energetic yet you know, I had a long flight.” He laughed and you joined in.
“Maybe you can teach me how to lose on a little game of Mario Kart.” He winked.
“Oh, I can teach you how to lose of course.” You gave him a mischievous smile.
When you loaded the groceries into the back of Yugyeom’s car, you noticed that there’s still suitcase and a backpack.
“You still have your suitcase in your car?” You asked him confused.
“Um no, the suitcase is just in case I had to leave or something, and the backpack… I’m planning on staying at your place, if that’s okay with you.”
You were surprise but you nodded your head. “Of course it’s okay with me! What do you mean I’m not going to let you stay!” You hit his arm before you could make your way to the passenger seat. Yugyeom settled on the driver’s seat, turning the engine on before he could backed away from the parking space.
There’s this food plaza near your palce, and Yugyeom loved the foor there.
“Okay, let’s split the work—you go get the food, and I’ll go get the coffee, how’s that.” You told him.
“I don’t know… I don’t like the idea of you leaving me…” He pouted and you just rolled your eyes. “But okay, if it’ll make it faster because… oh yeah, the place is packed.” Yugyeom said, as soon as he parked at the food plaza.
“Okay then, what do you want?” Yugyeom asked.
“Anything just, make sure it’s not too spicy, my stomach is kind of a wreck because one of my co-worker gave me a spoiled food last week.”
“Gotcha, and I’ll have americano for my coffee.” He said and you nodded your head. “Meet me back here for about…” Yugyeom looked at watch on his wrist. “for about 20 minutes.”
“Okay.” before you could get out of the car, Yugyeom leaned in planting a kiss on youe cheek before he got out form the car. You got out of the car as well before you could rushed your steps towards the coffee place, hiding your flushed cheeks from Yugyeom.
15 minutes later, you got your coffee and also some cakes, in case either you or Yugyeom wanted a sweet craving. About 10 minutes later, Yugyeom came to vision with a plastic bag filled with food.
“You sure bought a lot.” You told him.
“You bought coffee and cakes, no different right?” He asked him.
“I thought we would have some sweet tooth, so I bought some.” You told him. He chuckled before he could unlock his car and get on the driver’s seat. You placed the cakes carefully on the back seat as he placed the plastic back on the back too. You gave him his coffee and he quickly took a sip of it. Before he could drove back to your place.
The drive back to your place wasn’t long, Yugyeom pulled over on your driveway, parking his car next to yours. He helped you carry all of the groceries into your house. He placed the groceries on the kitchen island. He helped you putting everything away to its place before he could go back to his car and return with his backpack.
“Do you want me to help you prepare for dinner?” Yugyeom asked, standing behind you.
“You can just go shower,  I’ll prepare for dinner.” You told him, the containers out from the plastic bag.
“Okay then.” Yugyeom nodded his head before he could plant a kiss on your temple. “Get ready for some intense Mario Kar! Because I’m going to kick your ass this time loser!” He winked, as you giggled watching him rushed to your room.
You placed 2 plates and drink with a bottle of soda on the coffee table with the foods that Yugyeom had bought for the two of you. Just as you were finishing up, Yugyeom appeared form your room wearing a pair of black sweatpants and a blue flannel pyjama top. His hands were still trying to dry his hair with a towel before he could place it on the top of his head.
“Go get your shower, I’ll make the space more comfortable.” He said, motioning to your room and you nodded your head.
“Okay, just turn on the Switch, so when I’m done, we can race!” You told him. He could see the excitement in your eyes ad you said before you skipped towards your room to take a shower.
You decided to put on an oversized hoodie with a pair of shorts before you could walk out from your room. You noticed Yugyeom had turn most of the lights on and the only source of light was from the kitchen and the bright TV screen. He placed most of the throw pillows on the floor so that you both have comfortable seating. You didn’t realize that he also took a blanket from your closet.
Yugyeom who was already sitting on the floor, looked over his shoulder with a smile.
“Come on competition, Let’s get this done!” He said with much optimistic in his voice.
Really, it was an intense Mario Kartracing, midst of the screen loading and celebratory, the both of you would laughed and much down on the food that you’ve prepared. Yugyeom would let out a cuss everytime he came second place, and the fact is that you were on winning streak.
“You’re cheating.” He noted, turning his face to you.
“How can you cheat on a Maio Kart?!” You laughed, before you could take a bite out of the chicken tender.
“Switch character—I’m not accepting this bullshit.” He grumbled and you just laughed even more.
You did switch character from Mario to Toad, while Yugyeom used Yoshi as his character. But still… you won first place.
“I’m done playing…” he grumbled, pouting his lips as he leaned his back against the couch.
You giggled as you placed your controller on the table and moved closer to him. He placed his arm around your waist, letting out a sigh as he leaned his cheek on the top of you head. You swrapped your arms around his stomach before Yugyeom moved his arm.
“Sorry, let me just…” He grabbed the blanket behind you before spreading it so that the both of your were under the covers.
You leaned your head on his shoulder, letting the Mario Karttheme song played in the background.
“You tried…” You teased, your finger touching his face. Yugyeom rolled his eyes before he grabbed your hand, caresses it with his thumb.
“You’re not planning on going anywhere tomorrow right?” He asked, looking down to you. You shook your head.
“No, nothing to do, why are you asking?” You told him. He stayed quiet.
“Gyeom…” You pulled away from his embrace, but his hand still holding yours. “Are you okay?” You asked him.
He gave you a weak smile before he could tug you back into his arms, He wrapped his arms around you as you straddle your legs between his.
You felt his taking a deep breath on your shoulder before his hot breath could hit you.
“I just missed you so much…” He whispered.
You wanted to throw on a joke but you felt like this isn’t the right time, so you struggled your arms out wrapping it around his neck.
“Well I’m here with you right now, you’re spending the night here… we’ve been spending half the day together too.” You told him
“I know…” He pulled his face away so that he could take a look at you.
You could see the tears pooling in his eyes and you moved your hadns to cup his face.
“Yugyeom-ii… don’t cry come on! I’m here with you.” You try to cheer him off he chuckled tears rolled over his cheek. I quickly wipe them with my thumbs.
The last time Yugyeom was breaking down like this was when he was leaving for tour. He came to your house, suddenly, but when the night hits, he cried saying he doesn’t want to leave.
“That suitcase wasn’t from last time isn’t it?” You asked him. And he just pursed his lips. “You’re leaving again, aren’t you? When?” You asked him straight to the point.
“I’ll be leaving in two days.” He confessed, and you nodded your head. “And I want to spend my two days with you, if that’s alright with you.” He said, dropping his face.
You couldn’t help but to feel sad with him. He was always so cheerful, and so mischievous. But behind all of it, he was just a small, fragile boy. With a small smile, you lift his face so that his eyes met yours.
“I am actually offended that you had to ask—of course you can! You can stay here as long as you want.” You told him with a light laugh.
He did as well before he could hug you again, burying his face on your neck.
“I love you (Y/N)…” He whispered.
           “I love you too Gyeom.”
“No, no, really I mean it.” He pulled away. “I’ve been thinking about while I was on tour, since we’ve been close with each other, Ive been keeping my feelings away from you. And while I was on tour I thought about telling you, but then I thought it was a bad idea, but then when I got back I just—” Yugyeom stopped talking due to your lips suddenly pressed against his. He was surprise at first, but he happily kissed you back.
His lips tasted like sweet sarsaparilla soda. When you felt he slipped his tongue in you smiled midkiss but you still enjoy every movement of his lips. When he pulled away to catch his breath, you could feel your cheeks heating up before you could cover your lips.
“What?” Yugyeom asked, his hand holding your back.
“No, nothing, just a bit embarrassed, I was shocked that I did that.” You laughed.
“But did you regret it?” He asked, feeling nervous.
You gave him a smile shaking your head. “No.” You told him. “I love you too Yugyeom, and I really mean it… I was afraid that things would change, but since you confessed and then I cut you off.” He chuckled, “I’m willing to give this a shot.”
“That’s enough for a green card for me.” He said connecting his lips back to yours and you smiled before you lightly push him away.
           “So wait, I’m your girlfriend?”
“And I’m your boyfriend!” He said proudly.
           “Huh…” You looked away.
“Why? What?” He asked, suddenly all nervous.
“I can’t believe that the day you asked me to be your girlfriend, you’ll be leaving me in two days.” You joked.
“Sorry…” He said, pouting. You laughed.
“I was just teasing… I have no problem with that.” You told him. “You’re mind for two days, right?” You asked him.
Yugyeom raised his eyebrow before he could grab your hand and tackled you to the floor as you giggled. He hovers on top of you. leaning down to toyou a gentle kiss on the lips.
“Oh, I’m your not just for two days… I’m yours forever and will always be your rival at Mario Karttoo.” He winked.

Smoothie (Yugyeom Drabble)
Word Count: 141
Pairing: Yugyeom x gn!Reader
Warnings: None
Summary: Don’t put too many grapes in a smoothie
Genre: Fluff, crack
“No, don’t add grapes,” you scold for the umpteenth time. Yugyeom frowned at you.
“I feel like they’d be fun to add, though.” You shake your head, but Yugyeom keeps pouting. Oh my God.
“FIne, add the damn grapes,” you groan, so done with your boyfriend’s antics. “But don’t blame me when you throw the rest of it away.” Yugyeom hums, ignoring your warning and dumping more grapes than what you would deem acceptable into the blender.
“But”—you know what’s coming and sigh internally—”don’t you think it would be a grape addition?”
Instead of responding, you just turn around and start heading out of the kitchen. Yugyeom’s cackling laughter follows after you as he starts up the blender. But you know that later on, when Yugyeom starts complaining about an upset stomach you wil be the one with the last laugh.

Tear You Apart | GOT7xOC
Tumblr media
Pairing:  GOT7 x OC
Genre: Demon/Mafia AU, Romance, Smut
Rating: M
Summary: Jaebeom and Yugyeom are "running an errand" when the most delectable scent that he ever smelled hit Yugyeom like a ton of bricks. Yugyeom stops JayB and soon he smells it. They look across the street and see the her. They stalk her for awhile and finally get the chance to manufacture a meet with her.
Wattpad | AO3    (will likely always update these 2 places first)
Navigation: Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3
"It's just up the block here." Jaebeom said walking with Yugyeom trailing just behind.
On this particular morning, the leader and the youngest were on their way to confront a member of the organization about stealing. They'd probably leave with a finger or two. Make sure he got the message.
A slight breeze blows and Yugyeom stops. Jaebeom turns and looks at him, "what's wrong?"
"Don't you smell that." He sniffs the air. "Fuuck. It smells so good."
Jaebeom raises a brow wondering what the hell YG was talking about but then he smells it too. Jesus. He thought. Funny coming from him but that's how good it smelled. "Yeah I do. Who is that?"
The other mission abandoned, they scan the street for the source. As they look across the way, they spot you walking. It had to be her. They speed to the other side of the road and stalk behind her.
The good thing about being a hybrid is how well you can blend in. Not only were they human in many aspects but they were predators as well. Able to conceal their true selves and built to hunt. She never even noticed them.
They follow her the rest of the afternoon and finally call it a day but not before they get one of their guys to continue following her and report back.
"We've got to try to do this differently. If she gets scared, she'll run." Jaebeom explains to Yugyeom in the car on the way home. "It'll be so much better if she's willing. No compulsion. No holding her captive. None of that."
"Just a little light stalking." Yugyeom quibs with a small laugh but ultimately agrees, "you're right hyung but I want her so bad. What if she says no?" His eyes go dark.
Jaebeom sighs, "then we let her go." His hands tighten on the wheel, knuckles white. Can we do that, Can I do that? He knew that they needed to be better.
Every potential new mate for them ended up broken because it was all just too much. The manipulations, the compulsions, the constant attention. In the end, it broke them all, whether mentally or physically. And they were lonely. Fooling around with someone to satisfy their needs was nothing. Yes, it satiated the hunger, the thirst but only temporarily. They knew they needed to find the one.
As if reading his mind Yugyeom comforts Jaebeom, "but I think this is it. She's just too perfect not to be."
Once home with their brothers, they explain to them what they smelled. What they saw.
"When can we meet her?" Jackson asks excitedly.
"We don't even know her name yet." Jaebeom rolls his eyes. "Think we need to get the basics first."

Tumblr media
Your night burnt by slowly, filled with explanations and fake acceptances of congratulations that everyone showered you with; that you had no interest in. The only reason you stayed awake was because you were hoping Yugyeom would actually come back. Little did you know he’d been so drunk BamBam had to let him pass out on the couch and keep a bucket right next to him; because if drinking had taught him anything, the amount Yugyeom had, he was bound to throw up.
You, poetically so, had also passed out on the couch. It was hard to believe that in the afternoon you were in a relationship, getting fucked out of your mind and by night you were single, bawling in your living room.
Still, he had to come back at some point, it was his house after all. How was he going to go to work without his clothes? BamBam for sure wasn’t going to let him stretch out his T-shirts.
Hanging onto that hope, you prepared breakfast in the morning, which unfortunately sat out cold until noon, while you face timed your best friend and let out all your pent up emotions.
She advised you to not hang onto the hope of him wanting to be with you for a few days extra. It wasn’t fair to him, because everything said and done, you were leaving. If there was a way around it, you would have done everything within your control to get that promotion without the transfer. Unfortunately the path you were going to take had been set in stone by your company. There was no space for any alterations left.
You didn’t want this to happen but really, what else were you expecting. This was never going to have a happy ending from the start.
Last week you’d wanted him to act like a douchebag so you could be bitter and cop out of being hurt over having to break up with the best guy you’d ever known.
You finally understood why ‘be careful what you wish for’ was such a self-fulfilling prophecy.
After your long distance chat, begrudgingly you got dressed for the office; even though you didn’t have to really go officially—you were off until you started at London next Friday—there was some paperwork that needed your signature. You wanted to get it over with so as to spend the next few days peacefully crying in bed.
Half-heartedly walking to the train station, you wondered if you’d even crossed Yugyeom’s mind since yesterday.
Maybe it was a bit selfish, but you wanted to know if he was thinking about you; or was it just you that was miserable.
He was.
Of course he was.
While he chugged a bottle of water, because his mouth felt like sandpaper, all he could worry about was how you were going to pack all your belongings in such a short amount of time, without forgetting the most important stuff; and how he was going to not lose his sanity over it.
Ominously so, life had come such a full circle for him; because had your colleague not been a student at the academy, he would have never met you.
The work-life that brought you to him, ultimately took you away too.
Funny how the universe works, right?
He’d drank so much alcohol the previous night in hopes of forgetting you that even an hour without your face swimming in his head would have been worth it. Yet, all night all he lamented about was how unfair it was that he was going to have to let you go.
His friend circle–that over time had also become your friend circle–had been made aware of the whole ordeal, so they knew what to expect. They were just surprised by the magnanimity of it.
Yugyeom had never been heartbroken—at least to this extent. In the 10+ years of knowing him, he’d never expressed so many emotions in such little time to any of his friends. It was like witnessing a compressed pack of cocaine burst under high pressure; messy and not a good look for anyone.
When he woke up he already had a text from Jaebeom very sternly asking him to not come in to work until he got his shit together, several texts from Mark asking how he was feeling and to start hydrating his body immediately, and a whole essay from Jackson on how he should drop his tough guy act and be with you till it was time to go.
He hated being called out like that.
Yugyeom: Hyung you’re supposed to be my friend and tell me I should forget her immediately. His text elicited an immediate response.
Jackson: Listen you brat. I’m your friend that’s why I’m asking you to spend the last few days she is here with her. Because I know you and you’re going to regret this later.
Yugyeom: Tell me, how does it matter if she’s out of my life today or after five days?
Jackson: You won’t even try to stay in touch?
Yugyeom: No.
Jackson: Is that a mutual decision?
Yugyeom stopped replying after that, because now that he was sober, he was back to not being able to aptly express his feelings and he actually didn’t know the answer to that question.
He’d thought about this so much yesterday, while in bed next to you. There was no expiration date on your time in London, there wasn’t even any guarantee that after London you’d come back—you could get transferred to anywhere in the world. That particular uncertainty had torn his heart into smithereens and had led him to end the relationship so abruptly.
It had seemed logical yesterday.
Today? not so much.
Tumblr media
You’d zoned out staring at a travel bag while window shopping. After your work was done you thought of giving retail therapy a shot, an endeavour that was proving to be extremely unsuccessful, for the lack of focus you were carrying with you.
A loud, screeching, honking bus on the road snapped you back to reality, but not really. You were still dazed and confused and within seconds wanted to go back home, wondering why you thought this was a good idea in the first place.
You did buy three pastries and a venti on your way though, to devour your feelings once home. To discover that you’d forgotten how you lived life before Yugyeom and not understand how to combat it, was definitely taking a toll on you. The concept of being without him seemed so outlandish, it felt like a distant dream you might have had in your childhood. For now, until you found a way out of this maze, unhealthy coping mechanisms would have to do.
Truth be told, you were itching to call him. When it came to him, your ego was barely existent.
You were still plenty mad and wanted him to realise how stupid he was for not taking you up on the offer last night, of course, but you also wanted hear his voice equally badly, at the cost of him being unwilling to entertain you.
You had been postponing your urge every hour, since morning, because this time around you were reluctant to lose this battle; even though you’d already lost the war.
At 9am it was ‘Wait for another hour, maybe he’ll turn up.’ At 10am it became ‘Maybe I’ll stop by the studio’– but that was too much effort (and you were in no mood to face Jaebeom). When you were leaving for work, you baited yourself by saying you’ll call him after you were done at the office and currently you were convincing yourself to wait till you reached back home, so that at least when he ignored your calls, you could cry into a cup of tiramisu and feel better about it.
That thought was more comforting than it needed to be.
This awkwardness of not being able to wiggle your way into his life this time, was eating you inside, honestly. It’s not that you’d never had disagreements and fights before, where he’d left for Bam’s because he was too frustrated to even talk to you—in spite of him indulging his anger to a bare minimum, there had been plenty of those. But this was the only one time where saying sorry and promising to buy him chocoshakes for a week wasn’t going to cut it.
Along your route home, you bought more food—a full loaf of strawberry bread from the train station, some chips and a sandwich at the convenience store, a slice from the pizzeria nearby and finally your favourite fried chicken. Clearly, you had a lot of feelings to chew through and some days of solitude to chew them.
You hadn’t anticipated the struggle to get your apartment door to open, with all those packets hanging on your arms, trying not to spill any of the contents. What you also didn't anticipate was Yugyeom opening the door from inside, asking you to hand over some of the things you were holding.
You felt your system shut down like windows 98 being attacked by a trojan.
Was this real? Was this a delusion and you'd really just dropped everything on the floor?
“Yu….gyeom?” You called out, afraid of not actually hearing an answer.
“Why are you still standing outside, noona?”
“Oh-uhm-I….” you fumbled, before closing the door. “This.. is-uh?? Hmm-what-what are you… doing here?”
“Honestly? I don’t know.” He replied curtly.
You furrowed your brows accompanying it with frown lines on your forehead, indicative of the confusion you were unable to convey verbally.
However, you chose not to question him further, not wanting to go wherever that interrogation would have taken you. You were more than content to see him move around at close proximity, even if it was in silence.
There were plenty of places he could have gone, really, he didn’t have to be there if he didn’t want to; but he did want to. Oh god he’d wanted to see you so badly. More so than the hangover, it was a bizarre feeling in his chest, from the way he’d behaved with you last night, that had caused him discomfort all morning. That and Jackson’s messages.
Was he really not even going to try to keep in touch? But then….. who likes to stay in touch with an ex?
“Want some cake?” you asked, in an effort to dissipate the elephant in the room. “Or some other food? Pizza? You look like shit, you should probably eat something greasy.”
“You went and bought the whole shop didn’t you?” he raised his eyebrow.
“I… did not. I was….. craving a lot of things.”
“You know, the only times you’ve bought so much food is when you’re sad about us fighting over something.”
“Well—I am sad,” you paused, “and we are fighting ... and this one seems to be the last one.”
“For now” he added and then immediately retracted his statement
“I’m...I don’t know why I said that. I shouldn’t have said that.”
“Yugyeom... baby,”
When did you even get close enough to do that, he wondered, as you cupped his face.
“I’m really sorry.”
“It’s not your fault, you know?”
He put his arms around your waist and pulled you into a tender hug, because if he looked into your eyes any deeper he would have either kissed you or teared up; and neither was a good option to choose from.
“Noona will you promise me something?” he then asked, his words heavy and morose.
“Hmm?”
“Please try your best to forget me.”
You weren’t expecting that sentence to knock the wind out of your lungs, because you weren’t expecting to hear that sentence at all.
You broke away from him, tears accumulating against your will.
“Did you come here to hurt me, Yugyeom?”
It felt like a sword was now ominously hung above your head, when you looked at him; and it could fall at any moment and sever your head.
“Don’t take this the wrong way. I just…. I don’t know. Don’t hold onto some irrational hope or something. That’s all I meant.”
“Irrational hope? Really, of what? Getting back together someday? You wanna get rid of me and move on so fast that you want me to forget you? Is that it?”
“Don’t twist my words. That’s not what I meant. You know that’s not what I meant.”
“You think I don’t understand that this is the end for us?”
“Just ... leave it, I shouldn’t have said anything.”
“Yeah you shouldn’t have.”
“But I don’t want to be the reason you hold yourself back in London. That’s all.” He yielded, not wanting to make matters any worse.
“You know what…. I was wrong to think it would be a good idea to pretend like nothing’s changed until I get on the plane. You win.”
The anger in your tone and your deadpan face made it very clear that you were not interested in holding a conversation about this, any further. “I’m gonna go start collecting my stuff. I should be out of your apartment and your life, by tomorrow evening.”
Before Yugyeom could react, you slammed the bedroom door shut and locked yourself inside.
One second later he was banging on the door frantically.
“Noona! Come on, open the door please.
Please, baby!”
He must have stood there trying to rotate the knob, begging you to let him inside, for at least fifteen minutes before giving up and sliding onto the floor.
This was turning out to be worse than his worst nightmare.
If he knew you at all, he knew you would want to come out to smoke soon. So he sat by the door, getting annoyed at himself for saying that and at you for taking it out of context.
Before coming here, he’d asked for Jinyoung’s opinion on whether this was a good idea or not; and Jinyoung had replied asking him to not do anything foolish. He had assumed Jinyoung meant going to his house to meet you was the foolish act. Dejectedly, he typed a text.
Yugyeom: Well…. I should have listened to you. I went to see her and you were right, it was a bad idea.
Jinyoung: when did I say that was a bad idea?
Yugyeom: you said not to do anything stupid
Jinyoung: yeah, I meant don’t go there and mess it up. I didn’t mean don’t go there at all. What did you do?
Yugyeom: oh…. nothing.
Jinyoung: I can call her and ask.
Yugyeom: No! Fuck. please don’t do that. She’s already pissed at me.
Jinyoung: what did you do
Yugyeom: I asked her to move on
Jinyoung: huh?
Yugyeom: I don’t want her to get hung up on me and us and the maybes and what ifs when she's there. Because I know she will.
Jinyoung: and what about you? Are you going to try your best to forget her?
Yugyeom paused and stared at that question for a few minutes. No…. of course not, how could he want to forget you or anything about you. Even if every memory attached to you dug into his organs like shards of glass, he’d gladly take them all to his grave.
Yugyeom: she doesn’t need to know if I do it or not.
Jinyoung: I’m glad God gave you the gift of dance because clearly intelligence and common sense are completely lost on you.
Yugyeom: hyung i'm really not in the mood to be insulted right now.
Jinyoung: Jackson asked you to drop your tough guy act didn’t he? She doesn’t need you to protect her. She’s never needed anyone to protect her from anything. You should stop trying to save her from whatever it is that you think you’re saving her from.
Yugyeom: I’m not trying to do anything. I don’t want her to regret going to London.
Jinyoung: How is asking to forget you a solution to that? Say hypothetically she does forget you. In a years time she doesn’t give a fuck about what you meant to her. She meets someone else and starts dating, maybe even gets engaged. Would that make you happy?
Yugyeom: No. But she’ll be happy.
Jinyoung: that’s your problem. You’re assuming that forgetting you and finding a new life would make her happy.
Yugyeom: Well won’t it? Idk I just don’t want her to be hung up on us and if she gets stuck on it, I don’t think she will be.
Jinyoung: You just said you don’t wanna move on so then why the fuck are you forcing it on her?
Yugyeom: hyung she doesn’t need to know how miserable I am. Without knowing that whenever she sees me she apologises to me. if she gets to know how much I want her to stay I’m scared she’ll turn down the promotion. She’s already thought about not going.
Jinyoung: let her make her own decisions? Right now you’re lying to her. I’m 95% sure she’s pissed because you’re trying to act unfazed by all of this.
Jinyoung: Just this one time, try to not bottle up how you’re feeling.
Jinyoung: tell her you have no interest in moving on. Be honest, man.
Jinyoung: and just saying, asking the ‘love of your life’, who calls you ‘the love of her life’, to forget you after 12 hours of breaking up is a shitty thing to do. She should have kicked you in the balls.
He typed up a stingy reply to that but, before he could send it, the sound of you unbolting the door from inside distracted him. Hurriedly, he stood up, to catch hold of you.
“Yugyeom, leave me alone. You got what you wanted?”, you spoke frostily.
“Are you going to smoke?”
“Are you going to stop me?”
“No.. But I wish you’d hear me out. Let me say my piece and if you’re still pissed, I’ll leave. I promise.”
After opening the window sill and lighting your cigarette, you waited for him to start. Your face was red and hurting from crying so incessantly, but you were determined to not let your emotions get the best of you, in front of him. At least, not right now.
“When I asked you to forget me, I didn’t mean… you know, erase me from your memory or whatever. I meant give yourself a proper chance at happiness, when you’re there.”
You gave him no expressions.
“Like… I’m not dying to move on. This is killing me. I don't want us to come to an end. I even thought of giving long distance another shot… or like you know….maybe just keep in touch. But every time I thought about it, it was too painful. So I couldn’t ask you to do that because I…. didn’t wanna do that.”
Saying that out loud made him realise how selfish he sounded. He continued his monologue when you wordlessly stood still and puffed away.
“I wanted to pretend like this isn’t hurting me, but I’m so miserable, noona. I don’t know how to live without you. I don’t even want to know how to live without you. But, I want you to live your life without me; which is hypocritical, I guess, but that’s why I asked you to forget me.”
“That’s really fucking unfair.” you interrupted. “You’re planning things for me without asking what I want. That’s not how it works. If I want to move on or not, is my decision. If I want to be miserable over you or not, is my decision. If I want to live my best life in London or not, again, is my decision. I have never loved anyone like I’ve loved you, Yugyeom; so what you asked of me was just cruel. I know I want to live in a fantasy until I have no option but to accept the outcome. I know it’s not a good way to deal with things. How could you even think  that forgetting you would ever be an option?
“I’m sorry” he pursed his lips and looked at the floor.
“When I said we have five more days, I wanted to play pretend. I was just trying to live in this denial bit longer.
“Then… can I live in that denial with you?”
“No, I’m sorry, I gotta pack and hand over the house to the owner by tomorrow.”
“I’m sure the owner will understand if you’re delayed by a day or two or four.”
“I’m tired of running around in circles with you man”, you sighed. “No matter how this turns out, I will never not love you. Maybe in ten years time you’ll be with some other girl and I’ll be with some other dude, even then I will probably, in some capacity, still love you. And I get it if you don’t want to feel the same way, you don’t have to. But don’t ask me not to.”
“Thinking about you with someone else really fucking hurts.” he admitted, feeling a knot tighten in his throat.
“It hurts me too but you’re the one so fucking adamant about moving on like it’s gonna happen in 2 days.”
“Are you still angry?”
“Yeah, of course... but I can let it slide if you promise to forget about me.”
“Haha very funny.”
You chuckled and he wasted no time in giving you a kiss on the forehead.
“The only thing I can promise you is that I’ll love you till I die.”
“No one is dying, baby.”
“Without you, I just might.”
“Jaebeom won’t let that happen, you’re the second reason his studio has clients.”
“What’s the first?”
“Jaebeom, obviously.”
Yugyeom rolled his eyes at you. “He’s going to have to be the only reason, till next week because I’m stuck to you till you get on that plane.”
“You don’t have to do that.”
“I’m not letting you leave that room for the next 100 hours, starting now.”
He didn’t give you much time to process his words, as he picked you up to take you into the bedroom. You tried to fake-protest to the best of your capabilities, but truth be told there was no better feeling than hiding your face in the crook of his neck; while he effortlessly carried you in.
Making his intentions for the night perfectly clear, he took off his shirt.
“Wait-wait-wait!” you yelped, pinned under his lithe form. “All the food is on the table, I'll be damned if that Tiramisu goes to waste. I’ll be back in five.”
“Make it three.”
“Okay baby.”
Then you kissed him on the nose and ran out.
Tumblr media
Since your last reconciliation, you'd spent most of your time in bed, mostly without clothes, wrapped in Yugyeom’s arms; savouring every kiss, every touch, trying to save these ending moments in your memory, so you could replay them over and over again at the end of this week when all this would inevitably be over. Your departure was three days away and the fact that you were still unpacked was beginning to weigh down on you heavily. You were at a point where you couldn’t really avoid it any more; even though it was antithetical to the denial you’d built your cozy house in.
As much anxiety you had regarding leaving and not wanting to deal with that, there was an equal amount of anxiety related to not being prepared ahead of time. It was a lose-lose situation either way, with consequences that weren’t susceptible to change. So, you decided to rip the bandaid completely, to avoid running around like a headless chicken at the last minute.
You didn’t have to deal with the furniture, at least, because even though some of it was bought together, Yugyeom owned the apartment. You just had to sort through your clothes and products.
He wasn't the most excited at the thought of seeing you empty out the house.
“Do you know your living situation in London?” he asked, trying to hold up a conversation.
“Yeah…they’re giving me a furnished apartment as part of the deal.”
“Wait no rent?”
“Uh-huh”
“Woah that’s amazing.” The lack of excitement completely contradicted his statement. “And who’s gonna help you set up and stuff? Won’t you need help?”
“Uhm... mum’s already gonna be there when I land. Not at the apartment, obviously, but…. in London.”
“Aah. Ok ok. It’ll be good, you haven’t seen your parents in a long time”
“Hmm I guess.”
“And your visas and shit?”
“Yeah my passport’s with the company, they’ll sort it all out and hand it to me on the day of the flight.”A
Yugyeom felt like he’d accidentally stepped on an emotional land mine.
He was already gutted about seeing his closet empty, and now hearing your monotone voice just upset him even further. But he didn’t want to show how sad this was making him either, because then you would probably cry.
It was really frustrating.
He quickly made up an excuse to leave for a bit. “Is it okay if I go to the studio, Jaebeom hyung needs me to sort through some assessments. But if you need me to stay, I’ll tell him something.”
”No, it’s okay. I have to face time Ishi anyway. I haven't spoken to her in a hot minute. And Jae has been more than patient this past week. I’ll try to be done soon too. It’ll probably take me 4-5 hours.”
Oh.
“I’ll definitely be back by then.”
“Or… maybe I can meet you at the station and we can go to Naksan?”
He gave you an affirmative forced grin, kissed you on the forehead and headed to the studio to redirect all the aggression he was so suddenly full of.
Just knowing that you’d be leaving a giant gaping hole in his life, was driving him nuts. He wasn’t sure if he could keep up his end of the bargain any longer. You at least would get to start over a new life, in a new place with new faces. But he was going to have to pick up pieces of his life that he knew you were about to leave behind shattered; and never look back at
Your fragrance lingered in every corner of his apartment. His bathroom smelt like your shampoo, his closet smelt like your body spray and cigarettes, his bed.… how was he ever going to exorcise your memories out of his bed? His king size bed that had not seen a dip on the right side up until you had waltzed into his life. Everything was going to remind him of you. His favourite restaurants, clubs, hideaways—it was overwhelming him.
“Aah fuck” he mumbled to himself, absent-mindedly walking into the studio - much to Jaebeom’s surprise.
“I thought you weren’t coming in?”
“She’s packing. I’ll break something if I have to sit through it.”
“Don’t break anything here.”
“Maybe my bones.”
“The third room is empty.”
He was barely going to be able to concentrate on whatever choreography he was going to try, but he acknowledged Jaebeom and locked himself inside.
Jaebeom also felt rather incompetent to handle the situation, since he’d never seen this volatile and mostly upset side of Yugyeom. So he just let the kid do whatever he wanted to. No one knows what to do until you actually start doing it, right? Jinyoung would probably disapprove of this philosophy, but he wasn’t there to voice his objections, so too bad!
When dancing, Yugyeom barely ever understood the concept of time, so between choosing a song, researching some new styles, to mentally animating the possible formations, 4 hours flew by. He yelped and hurriedly ran to his phone, hoping he wasn’t already late.
You sighed heavily at the other end of the call “no... I’m still working through the pile. It’s probably going to take me two hours more.”
“It’ll be too dark to go to Naksan then.”
“Yeah…. I guess. Just come home?”
“It’ll take me some more time at the studio though.”
“That’s okay, take your time. It’s a mess here anyway.”
“Hmm… I’ll see you later then, noona.”
And he went back to focusing on perfecting the new moves, even harder than before, because otherwise your voice would keep ringing in his ears. He could hear how disheartened you already sounded and he wanted to be there for you, but he had to take care of his own feelings first, before he could take care of yours.
He didn’t know he could feel such a foul mood, but that’s what his days had recently been made of. All he’d done was get blackout drunk, fight and then fuck; this wasn’t a routine he recognised at all.
It was almost nine in the night when he entered the house, fully expecting to see you still having a rough time with a mountain of clothes next to you. Surprisingly, he found you passed out next to an empty cup of coffee.
He peeked inside the bedroom and his eyes immediately went to the two giant suitcases stacked in the corner and a cardboard box balanced on top of them.
His closet now housed his bare minimum collection of T-shirts and sweatpants and the bathroom was entirely stripped of its former glory. It was depressing. He took a quick shower and considered slumping onto the bed, knowing full well he should wake you up and make you eat something.
Who was going to feed you actual healthy food in London, with him not around? Because if you had it your way, you’d call a bag of chips dinner and call it a day.
He tried with everything he had, to not care about it and went back into the bedroom, fully determined to go to sleep. Perhaps it was his frustration towards the situation that was garnering such a petty reaction. But then he thought about it for five minutes more and felt like an absolute asshole. Why was he taking this out on you? It’s not like you deliberately caused it. It’s not even like he wanted you to stay for him.
He shook his head almost aggressively, as if trying to physically shake off the bad thoughts and went back out, to do what he actually should have done as soon as he came home.
You’d fallen asleep in the most haphazard position; your head resting on your arms on the kitchen island top, and your body stretched out on the chair. It didn’t look comfortable whatsoever.
He nudged you gently, “noona?”
You barely even stirred.
“Wake up, baby”. The butterflies he gave you, at such close proximity, made you open your eyes.
“What time is it?” you groaned, lifting your head the slightest bit.
“It’s almost 10.”
You did a little cat stretch. “Did you just get back?”
“No... it’s been a bit, I took a shower and everything”.
“Oh… okay. I was planning on taking a bath too” you trailed off, yawning through the rest of the sentence.
“I’ll make something for us till then.”he replied, thinking about what they could eat, but his chain of thought was disturbed by a phone call.
“Oh hyung, yo.” you heard him say. His energy seemed so low.
“Wait right now? I don’t know hyung.”
Inquisitively you tilted your head and he handed you the phone. The quota of patience he had for the day was very low.
You could see Jackson’s name on the screen and you greeted him accordingly.
“You wanna chill here?” You repeated, simultaneously gesturing to Yugyeom about his thoughts on the matter at hand.
He shrugged indecisively and you came to the realisation that you hadn’t actually thought of when you’d say your final goodbyes to Jackson, or in fact anyone else except for Yugyeom; so now seemed like as good a time as any.
“Yeah cool, how long will you take?”
With his patience running on thin ice, the man standing in front of you frowned, but you pretended to not notice it. Instead, you stretched and headed for the shower, avoiding his gaze. Yugyeom’s energy was all over the place and you were lowkey glad you wouldn’t have to deal with it by yourself.
You thought about planning your day tomorrow and meeting at least some of the people you cared about. What you hadn’t expected was Jackson bringing most of those people to you.
Half an hour after the phone call, your living room was at full capacity. It wasn’t even that many people honestly, just your usual hang-out group - a mixture of your and Yugyeom’s combined friend list, but your living room looked full.
Yugyeom was even more displeased than before, but managed to hide it by holding onto a bottle of beer, like it was crucial to his existence.
“He didn’t say he was coming with…. everyone.” You sheepishly expressed.
“It’s fine. At least you get to meet most of your friends.”
“Yeah I guess, i was just thinking about it.”
You get distracted by a hand on your shoulder, “thinking about what?” Bambam asked
“Meeting some people before leaving.” You repeated.
“Ooh depressing.”
“That’s one way to look at it.” You gave him a deadpan stare, unimpressed by his poor timing.
Yugyeom took the opportunity to wander off to his other friends, most of whom were gathered around the table of food, in front of the TV.
Some random nonsense movie was playing that Mark and his girlfriend were really invested in. He considered sitting next to them but he was not sure when they’d start making out, so he parked himself next to Jaebeom instead. His head was heavier in that moment than it had been in the morning, when he’d left. He couldn’t leave right now though, Jackson would beat his ass.
So he settled for eating silently and drinking slowly, in his little corner.
Meanwhile, you were trying to keep up a brave face. Jackson had already repeated himself at least thrice, saying how much he was going to miss you and it was getting more and more difficult to hold your tears.
Taking a large gulp of the wine you had in your hand, you told him you were going to miss him a lot too and gave him a partial hug.
There was no scope of hiding from the reality of the situation anymore.
Two days later no one in this room was going to physically be a part of your life. Just two days. All you wanted to do was find Yugyeom and bury your head in his chest, like the ostrich that you were.
You took in some really deep breaths and poured yourself more booze, in the hopes of turning it around and becoming chipper.
Inevitability should be accepted or else life begins to feel like a drag…. no?
Alcohol made it a lot easier for you to bury the sadness that came with your unofficial ‘bon voyage’ celebration. A part of you was also suddenly scared to approach Yugyeom. You studied his face carefully, discreetly, while seated on the couch. Get togethers usually made him hyper, yet here he was looking into his phone like he was studying for a phd degree.
Even though there was an overwhelming urge to go and talk to him, you decided against it. If he wasn’t feeling some type of way, he would not have isolated himself like that and you knew you were partially to blame for it
You indulged in more cocktails, talked to your friends and somewhere in the middle of all this chatter, Jackson, for the nth time commenced a relay of toasts addressed to you. Really on brand of him to talk about his feelings like that but because you were caught so off-guard you started crying. You weren’t prepared for this kind of emotional haranguing.
Yugyeom hated every minute of it. He didn’t want to hear over and over again that you were leaving, or see you cry. He should have declined Jackson’s proposition when he had the chance to, but now he had to deal with long speeches almost all of which included him too. He felt his lungs constrict like he was about to drown. Jaebeom gave him a comforting pat on the back and passed him a new bottle of soju.
From time to time he looked at you but avoided eye contact. He knew he should have been next to you, hugging and comforting you, he just couldn’t bring himself upto the task. It was that same resentment he had felt earlier today that made him respond in this fashion. All he wanted was this night to end and for everyone to leave. But then again, maybe this was better because he didn’t have to be alone with you.
You cried for a good hour while everyone told you they were going to miss you. There were long hugs and accelerating levels of inebriation involved. You promised to text everyone back because at that moment you had no proper words to say and you wanted to tell them all so much.
By the time you crossed your threshold of tipsy to near blackout drunk, it was almost daybreak. The sun was just beginning to peek at you from behind the mountains.
Yugyeom was in a worse shape than you, so Jackson and Jinyoung decided to clean up a bit, as your parting gift; trying to rope in Bambam in.
“No way. I know what’s coming after she leaves. I deserve a break before donning my emotional clean up crew role.”
“Don’t lie, you’re both just going to drink.”
“Yes and drown him in his sorrows. This is how you clean out emotions. He’s gonna drink and cry.”
“That’s the worst way to deal with anything.” Jackson rolled his eyes
“Hyung…. you work out and write music, he drinks and dances. It’s not really all that different.”
“It’s not the same either though. If I feel something I don’t carry it with me. All he does is let it eat him until he forgets it or explodes.”
Can you debate about this later and help me carry him to the bedroom?” Jaebeom interrupted.
Jackson handed the empty bottles to Jinyoung and got to the task of shifting Yugyeom’s large body from the couch.
“Just him?” Bambam asked
“I already tucked her in,” Jaebeom replied. “We should get out of here soon.”
“Yeah, I still have to go to work. Can’t believe Youngjae and Mark left me alone.” Jinyoung complained, trying to make as little noise as possible while trashing the garbage.
With a lot of difficulty, Jackson was able to plonk Yugyeom on the bed. Jaebeom studied you both before heaving a sigh. The peaceful look on your faces was not an accurate testament to your respective behaviours prior to passing out. But there wasn’t anything he could do about it. He kept a trash bag and a bottle of water each near your nightstands before leaving.
At least he could hope that when you wake up, you’d feel better.
... You didn’t.
The splitting headache you were experiencing was really on another level when combined with your sandpaper mouth. Thankfully things were conveniently placed around you because if you had to walk to the kitchen to drink water right now you'd rather die of thirst than get up. Your attention turned to the man next to you, his porcelain skin tempting you to kiss him or at least stroke his face, but you resisted.
You finished the whole bottle and gently lowered yourself back into the bed, lying awake with throbbing pains radiating from various places.
Yugyeom made a cute sound in his sleep, making your heart jump. It was nearly impossible to not want to scoot closer to him. He hadn’t given you a hug in all of twenty four hours and you were already about to lose your mind.
How you were going to survive without him was really beyond your comprehension.
You just lightly touched your fingers to his palm and closed your eyes, hoping you’d fall back to sleep. The next thing you knew he had one arm around you and was pulling you into his chest; aligning his body with yours. His soft breaths landing on the back of your neck, making you shiver.
“Feeling okay?” He asked in his hoarse, morning voice.
“Hmm…”
You could feel his lips moving against your skin as he spoke, making you melt in his embrace. Your heartbeat accelerated and he held onto you even tighter.
Melancholy hung in the air, much like Christmas decorations in December; he could feel it. Your legs intertwined and he heard a faint sob.
There was nothing he could say that would change the atmosphere. It was time to burst the bubble, so he let you cry, and he cried too.
Head buried in your back, he whispered, “noona…. please will you leave a hoodie of yours with me?”
You nodded and kissed his hand.
“I love you.” He said and the both of you went back to sleep.
Tumblr media
It was almost evening when he finally woke up. You weren’t in bed anymore, his head was hammering to a tune of it’s own, in spite of having medicated in the morning, and his body was craving water. Staggering, he made his way to the kitchen and found you in a semi-messy situation with cooking paraphernalia all over the counter.
“Oh? What is happening here”. It sounded like he was concerned but he was really only a bit confused.
“making some sandwiches.”
“Suddenly? Why? We could have just ordered.”
“Yeaaah I don’t know, just felt like it.”
He smiled, because you looked so cute in that apron. His mood was foul but looking at you made it better. He chugged some water while you emptied the pan and he was overcome with the urge to hug you.
You were caught off-guard when he put his arms around you, but you reciprocated his gesture. It was difficult for you to look him in the eyes because you weren’t sure if, for the hundredth time, you'd end up crying. He cupped your face and nudged you to see him, the sincerity in his face…. all the love he wanted to shower you with right then.
He kissed you slowly, taking his time to taste the light traces of your strawberry lip balm. You didn'’t know what spells he used to get you turned on so fast. Threading your fingers with his hair, you deepen the kiss. The urgency that took over him was maddening. He wanted you right now, which he made abundantly clear when he slipped his left hand under your T-shirt and began caressing your boobs; his other hand gripping your hair and pulling it sharply.
There was air caught up in your lungs as he kissed your neck, like you’d temporarily forgotten how to breathe. Low moans began to escape your lips and you squeezed your thighs together. You were so wet, just with his mildly aggressive kisses.
He knew what he was doing to you when he felt your lower body clench and both his hands slid back down to grab your butt.
The kiss got sloppier as your focus dwindled to his boner, your fingers already caressing it over his sweatpants. He bit your lip in response, pushed you against the kitchen island and aimed to remove your clothes. You were still in your flannel and shorts from the night before, so he fumbled a bit on the buttons. His accuracy was failing him because you weren't stroking him over the sweatpants anymore; he could feel your hand sliding over his skin, purposefully slow and tender. His eyes were barely open, your lips were still locked and he was trying to get you naked without actually seeing what he was doing. He grunted helplessly when you touched the tip of his cock. Wet sounds of you stroking his length, mixed in with his shallow breaths and moans, filled the kitchen.
He nibbled on your neck, as your movements accelerated. With your non-dominant hand you tried your best to remove his sweatpants, but he stopped you.
“Turn around.” He whispered, pulling your hand away. The way he seduced you with his demanding voice and bedroom eyes, you gave in without a fight. You bucked your hips and grabbed the closest edge of the marble top. He bit your neck, gently sucking at the skin caught between his lips, until it looked bruised and then he moved on further down, while dry humping your ass, one hand firmly placed on your waist. A small gasp escaped your lips when his fingers slipped inside your panties. Automatically, you spread your legs wide, to let him access the delicate parts.
He could smell your shampoo mixed in with your intoxicating scent and it was sending him over the moon as he played with your wet and sensitive clit.
“Good girl” he praised, when you pushed your ass further into his boner, craving to feel it bare.
You hummed, his thin and long fingers dancing to the tune of your arousal. He fingered you slowly and deliberately, and it was excruciating.
It was the last time he was going to get to feel you. Tomorrow you'd be gone. It made him angry and sad. It made him desperate.
You could feel his aggression in the way his lips collided onto yours with force, the way his nails dug into your skin, the way his body was stiff and wrapped around you in a solid cage.
His hold on you tightened and he spun you around again, to face him. He wanted to make sure you never forgot how he made you feel; so that no other man would ever be enough for you because he set that bar up so high. He wanted to spoil the idea of being pleased again by anyone else, for you. Maybe it was toxic to think that way, but he was already letting go of you.
He had no choice but to let go of you. The train of thought he'd gotten on made his brain short circuit and switch off. He wasn't aroused anymore and everything was blurry and confusing. Before he could stop himself, he took a step back.
“Don't leave me, noona.” He said in a small voice, looking at the floor.
The words crash on you like a violent wave.
You wished he'd stayed looking at the tiles, because when he looked up, you felt the guilt of having accidentally run over a puppy. There was sadness and shame and anger and you didn't know which emotion to address first.
“Yugs….”
So many words swirled in your brain but your lips were sewn shut.
“So, I guess that's a no.”
“What are you trying to do, Yugyeom?”
“Oh well, It was worth a try.” He chuckled, rather bitterly.
What else was he expecting would happen.
Life is not a movie scene; the girl doesn't quit on her career for the boy, in real life. But was it valid for him to feel the sting that persistently worsened as you two stood opposite each other uncomfortably? He knew this was going to happen. He chose it with you. Hell, he chose it for you even. While he was trying to rationalise his own resentments, you straightened yourself up and started putting the buttons of your shirt back in place.
“I don't know what you want to hear from me, Yugs. You know I don't want to leave you. And you don't want to come with me.”
Shit, that stung him even more.
“I have to leave for the airport in 12 hours so do we have to be like this?” You asked defeatedly.
He shook his head and you extended your arms, waiting for him to fall into them.
“I'm really sorry we have to end this way.”
In his experience, there was no safer feeling than being held by you, but right now it was the root cause of all the knives ruthlessly jammed in his chest.
Nonetheless, he hugged you and exhaled pure agony.
“I'm gonna go take a shower. Maybe afterwards, if you feel like it, we can go get some drinks?” You asked cautiously.
“Yeah… I’d like that” he lied, as he let go. Truth be told, he couldn't look past the multiple ‘last times’ anymore. The last time he could hug you, the last time he could fuck you, the last time he could hear your voice… he couldn't do any of it. He didn't want to do any of it. He didn't want this for the last time. He heard you close the door to the bathroom and started fixing his appearance however he could, grabbed his wallet and phone and headed out. If he stayed in that house for a second more he felt he'd choke and die. He was trying to run away from the toxic fumes his own thoughts were emitting, and there was nowhere to hide from them, so he tried to leave them behind.
His brisk walk turned into a sprint and then he ran as fast as he could towards the subway station. And just like that he vanished into the sea of anonymity, nowhere to be found.
Tumblr media
Four hours had gone by since you'd come out of your shower to a deserted house and a singular message from Yugyeom. “Sorry noona, I can't do this.”
it felt like a cruel dĂŠjĂ  vu.
His phone wasn't reachable. Bambam had no idea, neither did Jaebeom. You were much too confused to react in any appropriate manner.
“He left” You said to Jaebeom, who was equally confused and infuriated.
It seemed like you'd already connected the dots as to Yugyeom’s unavailability but a part of you was holding onto some hope.
“I'm sure he's gonna show up dude.”
“I have to leave in like 3 more hours. He wouldn't have left if he planned to show up.”
“He's definitely not at Bam’s?”
“Jae…. unless I was being lied to, he's not there. And i don't think Bam has any reason to do that.”
“Okay. Keep me posted.”
“Yeah” you sighed.
You were neither angry, nor sad and you had good reason to experience both those emotions at once, but the way your brain had switched itself to autopilot, everything had just become a matter of necessity.
You tried Yugyeom’s number once again, and weren't even surprised anymore when you heard the automated switched off message.
While scanning the room your eyes fell upon your suitcases and your heart dropped 6 feet further than where it was already at.
You had to leave soon.
The silence had already been gnawing at your sanity, now it was overpowering guilt because if you had just said no, none of this would have happened. If you had just said no to the promotion. If you had tried harder for Seoul. If you had chosen to stay when Yugyeom asked you to, then the chain of events would have been different. Maybe, if he'd not run away from this whole situation you could have figured out a solution. But he wasn't here and you were running out of time.
A high pitched buzzer cut through the atmosphere, giving you a jump scare. For a second you thought maybe it was Yugyeom, but why would he need to ring the bell.
You saw Jackson's silhouette in the little alarm system by the door and sighed.
“You look so unhappy to see me.” He huffed, when you greeted him dryly.
“Gee Jackson, sorry I'm upset about Yugyeom literally bailing on me when I have to leave in an hour.”
“Wait what? He's not back?”
“No…..i don't know where he is.”
“And he's still not answering?”
“I tried about 50 times, it's off. Anyway, how come you're here?”
It was comical how distraught you were internally and how inept you were at translating your emotions externally. The way you were talking, no one would think you were in this sad sad situation of leaving your life behind to start a new one.
“You don't remember asking me to drop you off?”
“Was I drunk?”
“Well…. tipsy maybe?”
“I was definitely drunk. I don't remember any of it. But, I'm glad you're here.”
“Are you…. packed?”
“Yeah, I just got the last batch of clothes I need to shove in.”
“Cool. You have anything to eat?”
“I made some sandwiches in the evening. Have at it.”
You were trying your best to be normal. A few minutes later Bambam and Jaebeom arrived as well, both without any worthwhile news of Yugyeom.
“I'm gonna kill him when I see him.” Jaebeom raged.”this is very childish.”
“It's fine man…. i know why he just vanished. It's okay. I'm not mad.”
“Bro are you…. Hearing yourself?”
“Very clearly. He was never good with confrontational emotions. He didn't want to see me leave so he left. It's not rocket science.”
“You went through your stages of grief really fast with this one.”
“I didn't have an option.” you looked at the three of them sitting around you “So…. are all of you taking me to the airport?”
“Yeah, duh.” Bambam countered.
“Okay then wait for me in the car, I need to say bye to the house.”
“And you can't do that in front of us?”
“Would you rather get uncomfortable watching me cry?”
Honestly, you were just prolonging it, the actual act of leaving. You felt so heavy when Jaebeom rolled your suitcases out. In passing you looked at your two favourite hoodies you'd left on the bed and it took everything out of you to not have an emotional breakdown right at that moment.
It was difficult, leaving was difficult especially without Yugyeom. You were in denial of your feelings but you were so angry at him but also so sorry towards him, your emotions kept cancelling each other out. You just wanted to hug him one last time and get the closure you were hoping to get but he took that option away from you. In your three year relationship, this was maybe the most cruel he’d ever been with you. But it was over now. This chapter was done, even with all of its loose ends.
You took your time saying your final byes to three of the most important people you'd met in Seoul. It was quite impressive that you didn't burst out in tears, even when Bam and Jae almost did. There was a part of you that was distracted by a hope that he'd be at the airport to see you off. When he wasn't at the main gates, you hoped he'd be there at check-in. While walking towards your departure gate you kept an eye out, hoping to catch a glimpse of his smile. You just wanted to say goodbye. But he never came. You sat glued to your spot, because what if he did try to find you and you weren't there. You boarded your flight at the very end. You gave an imaginary him all the imaginary chances you could, to materialise and tie a neat ribbon around your life in Seoul.
But your flight took off and the last shred of hope you had snapped and so did you.
Because life isn't a movie. Just like the girl doesn't leave her career, the boy doesn't run through the airport either.
