The New Testament gives no reference to when Jesus was born. And why would it? Why would the date be known? Keeping birthdays is a pagan practice and Jews did not. The church hasn't claimed a year let alone a month and day that Jesus was born (they only chose a day to celebrate.)

Christianity doesn’t do itself any favours by perpetuating what it knows to be stories that are not historically accurate.

Everything you are debating and all of your sources are narrative, interpretation, and the writings are not even from people supposedly remembering what happened.

It's simply drama with no claim to historical accuracy. The crucified/conceived date is a theory only.

Can we all just, as a group, collectively stop pretending that the Chucky series is actually a good show?

I promise it isn’t. It’s nothing short than a literal fetish bait that you see on TikTok. I’ll admit, Don’s show was enjoyable in S1. This is no hate or coming after anyone, I’m simply stating what I see.

Not only is the plot more confusing than my gender identity, there’s clear racism in the show. Am I the only one who finds it so hilarious that Don nearly killed off almost every POC character? And only kept the one that was apart of the “main couple” thing Don is doing that’s equivalent to the foolishness they did in Highschool Musical? One of my good friends did a whole blog on it, their name is Mys and I’ll link it.

And not to mention how Don literally admitted to Jake being a self insert. Let me repeat that for those in the back — HE ADMITTED JAKE IS A SELF INSERT. Meaning that the only reason Devon is alive because he’s an extension of DON’S SELF INSERT. Don literally said that his experiences with Jake are “similar” like sir, just admit it already. And don’t get me started on the poor writing here.

Dambala and Christianity? This isn’t paganism bro, and Dambala is technically voodoo and hoodoo, and those different religions have Catholic and Christian roots and similar tools. Also, I don’t mean to point out the elephant in the room but Chucky and Tiffany are white. Hoodoo and Voodoo and the practice of Dambala is a closed practice specifically for who?? African people. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. How come nobody fucking points out how Alyvina, Lexy’s actor, gets sexualized left and right?

And so does Devon’s actor. And I would like everyone to realize that Devon and Lexy’s actors, BJ and Alyvina are technically MINORS. Zachary is an ADULT. So imagine how it must look being a minor making out with a full ass grown adult. That is CRAZY.

And I know what everyone is going to say; “Well there’s consenting so it doesn’t matter” and “Well the show had better representation, I’d like to see you do better” and worst of all “What did you expect the show to be 💀 It’s TV-14, meaning that it’s gonna be swearing, sex talk, gore” and I know what the Don apologists are probably thinking; that I’m just randomly coming after a show but it’s far from it, if you took the time to read this editorial.

And let me break it down before everyone gets to typing and removing. I’m not saying it should be all cupcakes and rainbows. I’m saying these characters should have more characterization. Devon’s confession being deleted was the worst “fuck you” decision ever. We could’ve had a chance for Devon to get characterized and show some vulnerability.

But no. Of course not.

And instead of taking a season to focus on Devon, we have a random YT character — Grant. Again, nothing for Devon. As an African American gay individual, I resided with Devon a lot and I was so confused on how he rarely has characterization. We don’t even get to see him have a grieving process!

I believe, no, I KNOW Don is using something that was introduced in Scandal, a tv show — this method is called dog whistle media/politics. It’s basically racism, sexism, homophobia, all that good stuff in a language so coded that it only affects the person they’re targeting. Like a dog whistle.

So when Don kills off POC characters, sexualizes children, doesn’t let Devon be emotional or vulnerable, IMMEDIATELY jumped into sex in S3, trust that POC and lgbtq people and creepy mfs on Reddit know EXACTLY what Don is doing. It’s a fine line between made for mature audiences and made for creepy audiences. Like the Wren situation on TikTok.

The only reason you all defend this show is because it stimulates you, in a weird, arousal kind of stimulation way or the simple fact it’s all the representation you all really have, and you shouldn’t settle for less.

For people who get stimulated by this show; It’s gross. You’re gross. Receive therapy.

In conclusion, the Chucky series by Don Mancini is not a good show. It is a cash cow, and a lengthened fetish post on TikTok. Do what you want, but I will tell you, if you enjoy that show, it’s not just because of the representation. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

- Uhm Phillip doesn't really speak , he can't talk at all , he speaks like a fly . Here's this voice (?) claim I got here

-Since in the wiki it says that Philip is obsessed with souvenirs , I like to think that he has little collections of trinkets in a little chest . He likes staring at them .

-Not really headcanon-ish(?) but honestly I think Horace should be scarier as the rest of the villains , even if he is more of a comical villain . He should have some moments where he can be a bit scary.

- I think we also underestimate his sorcerer powers , to be fair the only magic he's done was summon the Skin-Taker but c'mon !!! We need some sorcerer Horace headcanons guys!!! ( I think this stems from my other interests being witchcraft and being into paganism for a while)

hi, sorry preemptively because ignorance does guide this question. i guess i’m just curious about what the difference between antisemitism and islamophobia is? and this is not an argument about the moment, but more of a question about how.. maybe there’s just little alignment/joint conversation about what i thought both amounts to a cultural misconception about religious affiliation? i’m black so i guess what i have is an ambivalence or blind spot about what i thought for a longtime was a yt ppl wanting a hierarchy over types of yt ppl argument, but i think that’s likely wrong and dismissive(and contributing to the erasure of poc jews). i mean i suppose it could be scale? i saw your post about the # of ppl who identify as jewish compared to christianity & islam, but it lands me in a similar place of like my limited knowledge of the persecution of romani and pagan peoples? of small communities of yt people persecuted under the umbrella of religion/pinholing it into a kind of moral or cultural brand of prejudice.

hi! how are you? i was wondering if you have any tips on making subs. i’m trying to make my own subs, but i don’t necessarily know where to start. also, what does energy charge mean and how does one do it because i’ve looked it up and i cannot find an explanation.

Hi! I'm good, thank you :)

I recommend figuring out where you want to make the subs (your phone or the computer) because that will change which programs you use. From there, just watch whatever "how to make subs" tutorial on yt that looks interesting! I personally recommend cloudparty's videos on it (specifically this one and this one) but all of them will tell you pretty much the same information. But TLDR; write the affs, either record them with your voice or use a text to speech to get an audio file of the affs, and then lower the volume of the affs so you can't hear them. Everything else like speeding them up, layering, or putting a song over it is optional! The more you make them the more likely you'll develop your own style and "formula".

Energy charging a sub is optional! There are a lot of different beliefs out there in regard to energy work but most of the resources you'll find are wiccan or neo-pagan in nature. It's a good place to start! You can just look up wicca/witch energy work or energy charging and you'll find a good amount of resources for it!

Energy charging is essentially charging (or putting) intentional energy into something, usually an object but it can be something less tangible (like a sub). It often comes with "cleansing" that thing beforehand to get rid of unwanted energy and then charging it with the energy you want it to have. In the case of subs, you may see something like "charged with positive energy" and that means the submaker intentionally put positive energy "into" the sub. Anyone who listens to that sub will likely feel positive energy from it!

There are actually many different ways to charge something with energy! You can use crystals, visualization, meditation, prayer, and even affirmations. As far as I know, most submakers use things like visualization and affirmations since the sub isn't a physical object (though I imagine you could still charge it with your hands?). But essentially, a lot of energy work is about your intention. There's no right or wrong way to do it! To charge a sub with energy, you just need to do something with the intention of energy charging it.

Just a small thought to add RE your incredibly valuable discussion of race at about the 23 minute mark- I think that a lot of what white people might be yearning for when they go grasping desperately for the  threads of their own 'cultural heritage' [and grab onto the scaly tail of white supremacy instead] is stuff that was largely lost due to the spread of Christianity and how it sought to culturally homogenize the 'white' experience? So-called 'pagan' traditions and cultural values were deliberately snuffed out and replaced with Christianity in a way that profoundly separates any modern English or Irish or Polish or Swedish person from any cultural heritage that is not just a part of  monolithic Christian 'whiteness.' These days we're seeing a lot of alt-right bros fetishizing ancient Scandinavian and Nordic clothing and magical staves [I hate every day what they've done to the Ægishjálmur], but those dudes are often neither Scandinavian by heritage nor sincere practitioners of these ancient religions [mostly by dint of said religions being lost to time - most of the artifacts out there have significance that can only be guessed at due to deliberate destructive measures taken by Christians who believed that they were snuffing out satan’s influence]. They don't ever seem to recognize that the colonialist spread of Christianity is to be blamed for both their alienation from their own heritage and their envy and resentment of BIPOC peoples’ frequently much closer connection to their own, and that it's also responsible for permanently obfuscating their native cultural roots. What's worse, they see Christianity as a vital PART of their roots, melding their own romanticized notions about what ancient Nordic culture and tradition may have looked like with the bigoted, monotheistic Christian sentiment that theirs is the sole ordained righteous way of being and living - the same sentiment that crushed their cultural roots to BEGIN with. It's not JUST that immigration to America  socially requires names to be anglicized and capitalism to be the thing by which their entire identity should be defined - it’s that the United States was founded by puritans, and that Christian dogma shaped the unspoken 'rules' of what American culture ‘looks’ like- white anglicized homogenization, Under God. So frequently, these men slide deep into violent, racist ideologies with the full certainty that their violence is morally justified and divinely ordained - it's frustrating and tragic, and I don't know how we're supposed to teach  modern white people how to have a healthy relationship with religion and race in this current sociopolitical environment, but I DESPERATELY hope that we can find a way.

if you are already familiar a bit with neofolk, then you probably know of the most prominent bands like Death in June and Current 93, bands that have the “cliche” neofolk sound with acoustic guitar, martail drums and electronics. in general they’re nice, but what i like the most is a much more folky, less serious sound. specifically a tiny subgenre called “alpine (neo)folk” mostly represented by Sturmpercht. i looove Sturmpercht! they sing about local traditions, customs and supersitions. they aren’t so dead serious and martial focused as some other bands.

just look at them. its obvious that they're one with the spirit of the woods and don't care about any earthly issues.

i like bands singing in German, but i know that some people cannot stomach German at all :) other similar artists are Waldteufel and Solblot (Solblot are Swedish actually, but have a very similar sound). Werkraum, Leger des Heils, Falkenstein, Graumahd...

i highly dislike bands that have an unhealthy obsession with ancient Rome (it’s more of a thing in martial industrial, but happens with neofolk artists too) because i hate ancient rome and everything it stands for ^_^ i only accept obsession with paganism and barbarians murdering romans.

Also, been reading more about the various forms of Christianity, as well as delving into the online communities of each. And, as a technical outsider still, I feel like Protestants really don't like Catholics, while Catholics are just happy you've found God. Like, Catholics will make jokes that you're not like actually saved or whatever, but it's a lighthearted acknowledgment of their differing styles. But I've seen non-Catholic Christian YouTube channels who like say the Daily Wire isn't a Christian company (I mean, it's not technically; it's just a right-wing media company with a focus on upholding traditional Judeo-Christian values), just because the number of non-Protestant Christians outnumber the Protestant ones (Ben Shapiro is an Orthodox Jew, Knowles and Walsh are Catholic, and Klavan is originally a secular Jew who converted to Christianity, attended an Episcopalian church for awhile and now considers himself an American Anglican...and Anglicans are kinda all over the place from what little I've read. Meanwhile, Jeremy Boering and Candace Owens are the only openly Protestants, and I think Brett Cooper is a non-denominational Christian, because she has talked about religion, but her show is more focused on culture...so she hasn't disclosed what she is exactly, but I def think she is a Christian of some variety).

But this one Christian blog (not on tumblr) was weird because they were analyzing some Christian music artists for their beliefs and they started bashing Crowder for being really interested in St. Francis of Assisi. Like...not gonna convert to Catholicism, just intrigued by a singular saint. And Lord, haven't we all been? Like, even in my deepest pagan days, I was greatly intrigued by various saints, namely Saint Brigid.

Also also, why are almost all Christian blogs/YT channels/music artists/etc. all fluffy bunny about Christianity? What happened to the medieval fire and brimstone outlook on religion? I cab handle that outlook, I can't handle the "everything you do in God's light is perfect and natural and totally okay"! Like no. Not everything I do is okay. Some things I do are really bad. And I know God understand, and He loves, and He accepts us as we are...but I don't think that's an excuse to constantly be a shithead without even trying to get better! It takes two to tango; how would you feel if someone you deeply loved consistently did things to disappoint you over and over again? You'd be upset, and you'd have right to be!

"Oh, but God is more forgiving than I, because I am a flawed human being and He is God". THAT'S NOT THE POINT! That's just being disrespectful to God, and then hiding behind it with more fluffy bunny bullshit. Do better. Be forgiving of yourself and others, obviously; if you're having a really hard time overcoming something, pray about it. God understands. He understands before you do, even. But don't use that "we're all inherently flawed and God just gets us, guise" as an excuse to be an asshead without bettering yourself!

So, I watch a YT channel dedicated to the history of the late Roman empire. They have quite a few videos on the 'fall' and such and they spend a lot of time discussing the state of the city itself during the period. While they're probably a fascist (I don't like calling people that with little proof, but from experience, most romanophiles are), it was... 'Nice'? To hear someone weep for the gods. Though they were mostly weeping for Their temples.

I can understand where you're coming from. A lot of romanophiles are (and hence my weariness for Roman pagans as well -- for which I feel a little guilty, but which is often justified unfortunately).

Even without Christianization, maybe I'm a little more lax about temples' destruction since some of them just collapse due to earthquakes (of which there are so many up there) and time. I guess Kronos likes to lay claim to many temples.
