Okay, I have opinions about yoyleite, please read it I need your opinions

Seriously what the FUCK is up with yoyleite? We have a SUSPICIOUS amount of information about yoyleite, it’s literally not even funny.

Okay, first of all, its origins.

Yoyleite has been known to exist since the ancient yoyleians were still kicking. Yoyle city has an entire mine dedicated to yoyleite, and its name is literally YOYLEite. Very clearly related.

The contestants also hint that yoyleian tech is extremely advanced, which is probably also a result of yoyleite. The ancient yoyleians had a surplus of yoyleite, allowing them to make a bunch of weird crazy misunderstood technology. HOWEVER. I don’t think yoyleians invented yoyleite, because in BFDIA 6 (I think) Ruby finds yoyleite in space, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence.

Golf Ball has this picture in her lab, which depicts a piece of yoyleite on fire.

Now, this could imply that yoyleite has some sort of special properties when set on fire, but I don’t think that’s what it’s alluding to.

I believe Yoyleite crashed into Earth on an asteroid, and this picture depicts the asteroid burning as it crashed through the atmosphere. A long, LONNGGGG time before bfdi, the asteroid crashed into earth.

Some time later, the ancient yoyleians were mining and found the mineral, deeming it ‘yoyleite.’ They found out about its weird time powers and built all sorts of technology with it.

And… Now this may be a bit out there. But… Recovery centers exist, right? But ancient yoyleians are still completely missing, gone without a trace. Yoyle city is abandoned, and we know next to NOTHING about the people who built it.

It seems a bit weird. Couldn’t they just be recovered? Why don’t we ever see any actual yoyleians? Where did they all go?

What if. What if they all time travelled. JUST AN IDEA! I have no idea what point in time they would’ve ended up in, or what their reasoning would’ve been, it’s just some food for thought.

Then, in modern day bfdi, most of the yoyleite was already used up. Yoyleians used most of it for their technology, which is why Tennis Ball deemed it so rare.

Yoyleite is most likely still being used in technology though, specifically the recovery centers. I made a more detailed post about that right here if you’re curious

Anyways, the point of this post wasn’t to offer a theory about yoyleians. Instead it was to ask this:

Why do we know SO much about yoyleite?

Like… It’s a cool rock, but do we need THIS much information about it?

If I’m correct, we know where it came from, what it was used for, what its powers are, and where to find it. WHY???? Is it really that important? Why do we need all of this information???

I can only assume they’re setting something up, but WHAT??? I wanna hear your thoughts and opinions, i need more perspectives here-

needle’s votes were counted separately, which means pencil is out, which is sad but also funny because now she gets to host with the rest of the wtfers. oh yeah they get to host now! i love that, also balloony just warpdriving out killed me. loved the mini freesmart reunion

fries actually taking the immunity was also a welcome surprise, we didnt really need pin to get tortured more this late in the season. i also guess at this point there isnt really gonna be a merge so much as a bunch of singleton teams, buts thats fine imo. coinpin :)

loved all the little cameos in the mall, very fun. also leafy! didnt really have too much screen time but oughhh they were teasing her for so long i almost lost hope. so very close to the first ever bookleaf interaction

the main event of course is tennis ball and nickel’s excellent adventure. if i had a nickel for every time a random donut line from bfb was justified by bfdia i would have two nickels: past nickel and future nickel. its nickel’s fault gaty got eliminated btw he lured that bug up there. he also caused all of tpot 15 by kicking the yoylite into the future so THANKS BUDDY

overall very funny episode! as much as i hate to say it i think needle is going to go here, she was very close to elimination last time and she also didn’t really have much to do this time. nickel is also a solid possibility due to him destabilizing the fabric of spacetime, which sources tell me is not a very “cash money” thing to do

i predicted basketball was gonna be out but it doesnt mean im happy about it. also tree staying in over robot flower was a shock, i thought people really liked her?? poor thang her self esteem is in the toilet now. at least they got to fly away on a dragon to get lesbian married together

i love love love how theyre using the rejects more its wonderful (the pda short was definitely a test to see if people would like the rejects as characters im sure of it). itrd trying to replace firey to make himself relevant inadvertently made relevant from people editing him over firey i love it

ive seen people say they dont like the time travel but me? im eating this up its so good, wonderfully silly depiction of the butterfly effect, its perfect for bfdi. the host continuously being changed was a wonderful bit, and host with a screen! there were so many callbacks for the bfdi geeks in the crowd (me), i hope they do more with the tfi style it is so nice to watch

PENCIL CRASH OUT ARC TO RING IN THE NEW YEAR HALLELUJAH thank you one for getting her on the show. actually this crash out and the resulting timeline devastation is the exact reason one rigged pencil to get it. poor pencil man she needs friends

the finale of the episode with everyone huddling together as reality falls apart honestly got to me. icy running over to me with book is everything to me. her last moments and she chooses to spend them with book sndbejuxhsbansn

tpot 15 and a bit of bfdia 17

i think we got the best episode on our hands

i really love how both BFDIA 17 and TPOT 15 were about time travel, with BFDIA going into the future and TPOT going back to the past,, to play the shitty games that suck ass

it's such a great way to celebrate 15 years of BFDI,, im so glad the team is passionate about this show enough to keep it going for so long!! this truly is the the simpsons of the OSC

time travel is a concept that's very confusing with no definitive explanation for how it could possibly work which is why i love it so much, and this episode goes about it in a way that i'd never expect bfdi to tackle

SPOILERS PAST THIS POINT TEEHEE

i really like the explanation for how black hole wasnt being affected by the time anomalies, because he is a black hole, and it was a great idea to make golf ball and TB the first ones besides him to find out due to it being TB's yoylite

and everyone's reaction to reality and how it is breaking squalidly was incredible,, that scene near the end where everyone is just bracing for their doom is just insane,, very well done

i love that everyone hates cloudYAY now, i know it was part of the last episode but it's really amplified here how no one in the team but golf ball gives a damn about fixing the timeline and just want to win the challenge

oversight on the hosts' part, the challenge should've also been to fix the timeline but whatever

is death pact just allergic to winning now or something why do they keep being put up for elimination i thought they would be done with that when they made tpot 7,, they're lucky at least this time it's understandable

notice how no one at any point went back to idfb 1 btw just thought that was interesting hm, it's like they're ignoring idfb's existence

Yoylite and the recovery centers

Alrighty, so. Very alarming discovery :D

The recovery centers COULD be powered by yoylite. Yoylite is said to be a powerful and EXTREMELY rare resource. Tennis Ball says scientists would pay trillions to study it (which, considering the insanely high inflation rate in the bfdi economy, probably isn’t actually that much, BUT STILL !!)

Ruby finds yoylite in space, which lends to its supposed rarity. In bfdia 17, there are ‘yoylite mines’ under yoyle city, which is… Interesting. Yoyle city does have a lot of connections to space though (the flying saucers in the idfb intro, the fact that it’s been abandoned for no reason for literally centuries, etc etc) so I ASSUME that maybe an asteroid or something crashed into the area where yoyle city would be and that’s why they were able to set up mines for it, but idk.

Anyways, what’s important here is that it’s very rare and powerful. In tpot 15, in Golf Ball’s lab, some of the uses for yoylite are shown.

Spirit recovery is one of yoylite’s powers??? Which, we’ve seen to be true in BFDIA, when Ruby dies near a piece of yoylite she’s able to recover HERSELF, which I’m not even going to begin to question-

But it’s interesting, because it means one of these has to be true:

1 - The recovery centers DONT recover spirits and just makes CLONES of objects without it actually recovering them (very unlikely)

2 - The recovery centers harness the power of some other obscure and extremely powerful technology (still unlikely)

3 - The recovery centers are built from yoylite (most likely, I think)

So, yeah that makes sense. Yoylite is shown to have time powers, which (if used very specifically) could lead to necromancy. Like, they rewind the person’s body back in time to bring their soul back or something, idk. I dont know why the universe didn’t start cracking earlier if that’s the case, but maybe there’s a loophole or something.

Anyways, why is this bad? Well, in TPOT 15, One is easily able to deactivate the yoylite and get rid of its time travel abilities. So, if the recovery centers are made from yoylite, she has the option to make death irreversible !

Now, death may not be COMPLETELY irreversible without yoylite. Four also has the power to recover people, and I don’t think they’ve got any yoylite in them, so obviously the idea of recovery isn’t completely dependent on recovery centers. Also, I think One would have a hard time deactivated EVERY piece of yoylite on Earth, so they could just build a new recovery center. So, it’ll probably be fine. BUT STILL!

But, idk. It’s 1:33 in the morning. I am writing this in a state of fatigue and sleepiness. I don’t know if there’s more evidence about this or something, I was just thinking about it and wanted to post about it
