When I was working back of house at an Italian restaurant there was this older lesbian couple that would come in every single Tuesday night about 2 hours before closing and order the same thing: caprese salad and a plate of fish and chips with mashed potato instead of chips. Same order every week

I never even saw their faces but looking back it makes me feel warn and fuzzy inside because the restaurant was in a pretty rich conservative area and having a lesbian couple be regulars was nice. I was pretty deep in the closet and hated the owner and the people I needed to work with the most. It was nice to see that order docket every week and to have a reminder that my people were still out there

Starving to death this morning because ive been to the new local cafe twice this week already and if i go a third time ill look desperate.
