hey. when cis society is oppressing a trans man, what he is experiencing is. In Fact. misogyny. i'm sorry i know none of us like to be reminded of our agab, and it hurts whenever people perceive you as the wrong gender. but a cis person hate-criming, assaulting, verbally abusing, etc, a trans man is not doing "transandrophobia" because they do not perceive him as a man.
they perceive him as a woman failing at her gender, as a woman who has been seduced and lied to and manipulated because women are so easily led astray, just like it says in the bible. they perceive him as a woman who has been mutilated. they perceive him as a dyke that needs to be fixed. if they are hate-criming him because they *do* perceive him as a man, because he passes well enough they aren't thinking he could be trans, then they're doing so out of homophobia, perceiving him as a gay man, a pervert, a sissy, a danger to children. OR, they are being transphobic but specifically because they think he might be transfeminine instead. when cis society oppresses a trans woman, they are able to do it on multiple levels at once. She's a woman failing at her gender, a dyke that needs to be fixed. Or she's an evil and grotesque crossdressing pervert, a rude caricature, a danger to polite society. she will never be doing enough to escape oppression entirely, no matter if she gets every surgery she can and wears makeup every day and passes perfectly, because she lives under a patriarchy, and she's a woman, so she lives in a panopticon, and HAVING to get surgery and wear make-up to be respected IS oppression, especially if the alternative is being hate-crimed.
trans women (and trans men who pass) are not experiencing "transandrophobia" when a 'queer women and nbs" event turns them away at the door for being too masculine. they are. IN FACT!! experiencing the byproducts of misogyny in a patriarchy!!! where the terfs and coward cis women running those events and occupying those spaces have been taught (sometimes through experience, sometimes by men, sometimes by women) throughout life that men = stronger and more dangerous than women ALWAYS. That they need to protect themselves at all times and always be vigilant. That men and women can't be friends without sexual tension (and so as queer women the mere existence of what they perceive as a "man" is a threat). That women need a separate sports league because they can't possibly compete with someone who has even a little bit "extra" (an unquantifiable amount actually because there isn't a standard range) testosterone. That women should cook and men should fix cars. i promise you, i promise i promise i promise. it's misogyny. like!!! you don't say cis gay men experiences "androphobia", bc that's not a thing!! you sound like fucking mens rights activists guys please! you don't say a black man experiences "misandrynoir"!! because living in a patriarchy fundamentally means men do not experience oppression based on their gender. its not happening. shut the fuck up. stop walking us back to 2014 can we please take a step forward and stop bitching about this. there are genuine issues in the world and i'm frankly sick of people who should be smarter than that needing to be gently hand-held through this fucking explanation for the millionth time and still stomping their feet.
#cw transmisogyny#cw discourse#cw transphobia#longterm tme mutual pissed me the fuck off bye#everybody else gets to read this now#if you still don't get it idk maybe go stick your head down a toilet and flush#that might help#its so fucking simple stop drinking terf koolaid#if u are transmasc and have experienced transphobia i'm really sorry that happened to you.#and if calling it 'transandrophobia' makes u feel less dysphoric then whatever fine#but its not like. a systemic issue.#pls understand that#transmisogyny is a systemic issue we should be talking about. because misogyny is a systemic problem we have not yet solved.#i hope i never have to talk about this again#lmk if i should tag it as anything else#or if i've worded anything in a way that should be corrected

The concept of "Being viewed as transmisogynistic is worse than actual acts transmisoginy" has reached it's logical extreme and the term Terf has become so muddled that now it's becoming a common tactic to accuse trans women of being TERFs to have the veneer of trans allyship while harassing trans women. It's being used from "drinking radfem koolaid" said by trans androphobia truthers to "you look like a garden variety TERF" by a PickMe Transfem looking to throw her sisters under the bus to trans women being called gender essentialists for making egg jokes.
And it not just Terf accusations. It's also accusing trans of being Crypto Channers or kiwifarms users. Basically any predator of trans women are becoming the new smokescreen to harass trans women under and it's fucking insulting and disgusting. TERFs are a hate group that's specifically seeking our genocide. Kiwifarms is a site dedicated to doxing us and painting us as sexual predators.
Not only is it paradoxical and impossible for a trans woman to be a TERF but the attempt to paint them as one is an act of violence. It is attempt to to not only ostracize us from the wider queer community but from from our sisters. The very small community that we had to carve for ourselves to feel the smallest amount of safety. It's lying and giving otherwise trans positive people the greenlight to harass us and tell themselves that they are doing it to protect the rest of us from us.
If you find yourself falling for this you seriously need to reevaluate your allyship to trans women.

If Someone appears to be venting in the transandrophobia tags about facing lateral aggression due to being a trans guy then they hit you with
"why do amabs always behave like this? they always think they're better than us/it's always amabs doing this"
Then that's very likely a terf or someone who is drinking their koolaid and it is probably best to tell them to knock it off and /or block them.
Lateral aggression from trans women and trans fems isn't "amabs using their male privelige to dominate and oppress the deluded weak trans identified feeemales"
it's oppressed people lashing out at the closest safest targets who happen to be fellow trans people often as a response to similar lateral aggression from trans men but generalising all trans men and "afabs" to be exactly like the shitty dude/s who were being transmisogynistic to them.
it's people doing respectability politics
It's classic humans being humans in a crab bucket
its not some magical biological drive or trans women being a hive mind of secret mras
trans women aren't misogynist sleeper agents waiting to hurt trans men and other "afab" assumed trans people, and terfs who keep trying to push this bullshit should know that we see through you and condemn your misogyny and transphobia and stand with our trans sisters and siblings
Beware of anyone equating any crappy behaviour by anyone to their AGAB because that's bioessentialism and it's a cornerstone of terf and misogynistic rhetoric
Just because a trans woman is being a cruel fuckwit that doesn't make her a man,
no trans women aren't "biologically prone towards selfishness more so than other trans people "
Anyone saying that shit is spreading terf rhetoric and trying to prey on people who are hurting to try to isolate them and make them feel like they can't trust other trans people least of all trans women.
It's a grooming tactic ;"you can't trust anyone except fellow afabs" is grooming (similar for the"you can't trust afab trans people crowd) it's an isolation tactic that cuts you off from outside sources of information and experiences that conflict with the simplistic "us vs them" narratives that these high control groups like terfs want to indoctrinate people into
Terfs want us trans guys and assumed "afab" trans people to turn on trans women and fems and assumed "amab" trans people and buy into their fairytale of "male socialisation /behaviour versus afab solidarity uwu sex separatism and violence is feminist" & fuck that to hell
remember to keep an eye out for transmisogyny and point it out for what it is.
Solidarity forever
(The vast majority of people I do see calling it out I just saw a heinous post and needed to vent)

Vampire/Vampyr suggestions and tips!!
remember these are just suggestions, pick and choose what feels best to you!
wear dark, long clothing to protect your skin from the sun
enjoy some time at night- the moonlight or even a dark cloudy night are a vampires best friend!
drinking red liquids- koolaid, cranberry juice, strawberry juice, blueberry tea, whatever fits your fancy and satisfies that bloody craving!
keeping some kind of journal is a great idea! it’s an often seen image, the brooding vampyr and their leather bound journal with quill pen. perhaps inky sketches, or even some kind of written account of things you learn about your vampire kintype/source!
try out some vampire themed neopronouns that give you euphoria!
teefs!! there’s lots of places to buy/order vampire teeth moulds, especially this time of year!
learn more about animals associated with vampyrs- bats, cats, black wolves, spiders, etc!
avoid running water, garlicky foods, and other things vampires are adverse to!
always get verbal permission before entering someone’s home, a vampyr must be welcomed into a space before they can enter!
old myths say vampyrs liked counting, perhaps get a counting app or something similar!
try out a dark academia style!
dark goth looks are also often associated with vampyrs, try looking into goth culture and learning more about the subcultures within!
good luck vampire friends!! we have a vampire in our system who uses some of these tips! -mod 👾

Have you perhaps considered that just maybe, as a white convert you are exactly the kind of vulnerable target most susceptible to zionist propaganda and are just drinking the koolaid and being radicalized. Like, asking this very genuinely because A Lot of the people I see becoming radicalized into becoming zionist sympathizers recently are very specifically white converts who are seeking acceptance and community and who don't have a large IRL jewish support network to fall back on. Zionists very specifically target converts because they're uniquely vulnerable in these ways whereas some of the most outspoken voices against zionism are racial&cultural jews who not only deeply understand and have lived through this history while also having a large IRL jewish community as a support network and therefore have an easier time spotting and dismantling zionist bullshit and thats not a coincidence. No one is immune to propaganda and you're very clearly sliding down the pipeline because zionists see that your new to judiasim and flatter and feed the want and need for acceptance and community and are super nicies to you on purpose because there's a giant red target on your forehead that identifies you as easily manipulated and primed for indoctrination. There's a reason terfs are kind and accepting and sympathetic to trans men and theres a reason why so many zionists are reaching out to converts specifically
If you want to address this at me and not the white convert you have made up in your head, you may want to address things ive actually said, views I actually hold and people I am actually in contact with.
There are no evil zionists lurking in my DMs trying to convince me that genocide is good.

And absolutely no one believes that the three people saying zutara is female coded equates to over thirty thousand zutara fans thinking a ship determines gender. Honestly no one in this fandom is that stupid. Well except ...
First off, if you're gonna accuse me taking serious matter in bad taste over a ship war, maybe don't accuse a literal trans person of 'drinking the terf koolaid' or whatever when terfs are a literal hate/white supremacist anti trans group. You ain't some special expection because you ship the oh so persecuted cishet lowkey bad interracial rep ship
And your stupidity should stop jumping out because that was an exaggeration, not literal figure of speech. I've been in the fandom since elementary school and nonstop to this day see Z/Ks push their ship as 'a female fantasy' and saying 'Kataang is only shipped by men' which yeah,IS equating Z/K and K/A to gender. Also i bet you're a transandrodork, seeing as you didn't adress the bit where i pointed out it's weird to say 'transmasc/nb Zuko' when i included transfem Zuko in my og ask. What, does trans girl Zuko upset the so called terf hater?

The original post was deleted so I'm just gonna remake it and have it just be regular text the whole time instead of screenshots. because that's a thing.
spockgirl said, at some point on or before June 6th, 2022:
A lot of people took the phrase "women's rights are human rights" to mean "the issue you think of as women's rights also affect other more important stuf"' rather than "women are human".
The post had 1,037 notes total.
[redacted] said on June 6th 2022:
I saw about a 50:50 split of queers and terfs reblogging this and y'all????? this is exactly what people are talking about when they say Radfem Lite. I'm just gonna drop these here cause my friends summed it up better than I could.
This was followed by two screenshots of text that read, with punctuation added for readability:
The thing being that we need those things said, because the words used in laws etc matter, and if it exclusively says "women", then people who can get pregnant but aren't women can and will get refused help on the basis that they are not women.
It's weird because intersectionality is a staple of actually productive feminism. And all activism. You have to be cognizant of how things you would classify as "women's issues" will affect certain other identities and subsets of identities in order to make any headway on addressing them. Bringing up how an issue affects trans men as well as cis women or bringing up how the Roe overturning will affect Black women systematically more than white women, because they traditionally receive more poor care in regards to pregnancy and have a ridiculously high birth mortality rate, is not shifting the focus off of "women are people". It's. Just being accurate and encompassing the full scope of an issue.
[redacted] then commented:
Use your brains please. Don't drink the koolaid.

Why did you choose genderkoolaid?
I found it kind of misleading as it's a term often used by terfs. So i had to look around your blog to make sure you're a safe blog and not a bad faith blogger
lmao that's actually why I chose it. I found terfs using the term "gender koolaid" funny and i figured it would be a good url for a gender-based blog, esp one that does a lot of deep thinking about gender.
i get the caution altho i do think the bio+pinned post do a pretty good job at showing my thoughts on drinking the gender koolaid (its good and sexy)

[id: screencapped text reading "Girl no one is going through the long, intense, socially dangerous and often painful process of physical transition "on a whim" and especially not for something like sports, stop drinking terf koolaid"]
the thing is i understand this and why this is said in response to "im ok with trans people but not the ones who do it on a whim" thing but this is exactly what i was talking abt in the tags of that post abt "born this way narrative will not save us" . what if someone DID do it on a whim? does that make them not really trans? does that make them stupid?
and even though you may say "trans joy not trans misery!" when you take this stance you are saying that "no one would choose to be this miserable." ive seen the same in discussion about jewish conversion - "no one would choose to be oppressed On A Whim" - okay but what if they did? is there nothing in the trans (or jewish) experience that are worth wanting for their own sake instead of only being a conciliatory side effect of the predestined burden they take on but could never willingly want?
and this worry about "on a whim" (aka choosing in any way) vs "for real" (aka not choosing but it being Meant To Be) ... it only ever results in "your choices arent reliable, people cannot be trusted to choose what they want, because what if they change their mind!!!" as if that isnt what bisexuals and trans people and all of us havent been bucking against - "its just a phase" "youll change your mind eventually" "youll grow out of it" "youll learn" . stop reinforcing this view that our choices are not our own, that peoples choices are able to be negated by other peoples opinions
when it really gets down to it, this is actively working against fights for autonomy. autonomy to choose tattoos, body mods, surgeries, hormone therapy, abortion, drugs, sex. all of it. when you say that "well ofc the ones who do it on a whim are bad - im just not one of those people" you say that other peoples choices are not to be respected [under these circumstances under those circumstances its all the same in the end.]

dude I feel so bad for the queer tiktok community I get that theyre all probably like 12 maybe 13 but????? they are drinking that terf koolaid up Im telling you /reference
for context I commented "hey you can make and use different flags for an identity, nobody cares if they are theyre probably like 12 or a terf" on a tiktok abt someone apologizing for making a lesbian flag and someone called me priveleged for it??? what am I priveleged for, being able to make flags??? bro you can just use any drawing program or if thats too hard just use flag.rachel.systems to make some yourself like????
you know what it IS good to use different flags, especially if youre being stealth, your mom probably knows the sunset lesbian flag but not the aurora lesbian or bi lesbian etc. flags you know. tryna defend that the only flag you can use is the most common one will not progress our movement in any way either, and it will let terfs queerphobes and other predators to our community easily know who to target and what to target them for.

just got a long block of text anon that I'm not reading about how trans men and transmasculine people don't deserve a word to describe the specific intersection of transmisia and misogyny they face and yeah, fucker, I'm not reading that, you're just getting blocked and reported.
Try learning what the word "intersectionality" means. Maybe try listening to trans men and transmasculine people of color. Maybe try listening to people of color at all. Maybe try grasping the concept that misogyny isn't something you can "escape" by identifying as a man or not-a-woman.
I don't know how to tell you that if your theory of how the world works falls apart the moment it meets reality, it's a bad theory.
Trans men and transmasculine people and AFAB trans people in general face specific intersections of transmisia and misogyny. No one "escapes" misogyny by realizing they're not actually a girl or a woman, or not just a girl or woman. That's literally not how the world works.
No fucking AFAB trans person gets to walk up to an abortion clinic in Texas and get an abortion because they don't identify as a woman.
You're just drinking the TERF koolaid and refuse to understand how oppression works in the real world.

ive been searching for the right words for this for a while now and i don't think i'm going to find them, so here it goes:
i think we need to move away from using "drinking the koolaid", especially in the very common usage i'm seeing of "drinking the terf koolaid".
i understand how this phrase came about, and its not exclusive nor did it start recently, but it's grown so detatched from its roots that i see it be used with disgust and anger in a way that's horrifyingly insensitive. we can say that terfs use cult tactics while also not sneering at anyone even vaguely misled.
what happened at jonestown was a massive tragedy. hundreds of people forced to drink the flavoraid against their will. yes, some willingly drank it, but by and large most of these deaths were forced - either by brainwashing or by gunpoint. people falling into bioessentialist rhetoric, either malicious or mislead, or any other genuine cult victims and survivors this phrase is being casually slung at is callous.
if you're not convinced, or even if you are, i'd like to share some things. here's an article exploring the topic and the death tape/recording if you're able to stomach it. but most of all, please take some time to look through this gallery of the people who died that day.
my goal here is to recontextualize this phrase. whenever you're about to use it in your thinkpieces, think of this tragedy that is inherent baggage to it. take a second to think about the victims and see if the usage still seems appropriate. i'm not even saying it never is - but as a survivor of a different cult, its heartbreaking to see people use this turn of phrase so flippantly. to imply that whoever is drinking the proverbial koolaid is stupid, or deserved it. that someone who is still learning and changing is comparable to being one of those "dumb" cultists. even to go so far as to say is catching that terf in a hypocritical argument worth it if you dehumanize the people that made that phrase a thing in the first place?
i don't have any suggestions for replacements, at least none that are snappy and witty - you could always just call the situation what it is. and of course using this phrase in discussions about terfism is by far not its only usage, just the one ive been seeing the most recently. it's gotten very out of hand in my opinion.
please remember the victims of jonestown with respect.

(this is a duplicate message; i want to get as many opinions as I can from Black women).
this might be incoherent but it's been on my mind for a while and you seem like a good person to pose this to; I find myself increasingly frustrated and annoyed with Black libfems who take it upon themselves to be the most outspoken, for lack of a better term, "anti terf police". I feel more angry and annoyed by seeing this behavior from other Black women than from non Black folks on here; I think part of me feels they should "know better", which is definitely unfair and hypocritical because i was definitely drinking TRA/ libfem koolaid until pretty recently but... I don't know. what are your thoughts?
Not all skin folk are kin folk. From what I've seen, in real life and online, people have good intentions and with the internet being a source of information, hundreds and hundreds of people will get their information from it, including false info that appears to be true. Such as malpractice or medical that hasn't fully been understood, like "transitioning." With that in mind, Black Americans (because I'm only going to speak on them) know what it's like to be oppressed and disregarded, and I think a lot of Black libfems grasp on that and blow it up, assuming that being transsexual/transgender is as innate as someone's race and other physical characteristics. Cancel culture doesn't help, and I believe that adds a lot of fuel to this as well
Ideally, Black women should know better, but you also can't hold an entire people to a specific expectation because everyone is an individual. No entire people, race and sex, are a monolith. For example, you have the Uncle Rukus/Uncle Tom's of the Black community which shows that the monolith ideal cannot be true. Also, it doesn't help that a good chunk of American education isn't as good as it should be
Idk, I'm writing this swiftly and while I'm multitasking. Perhaps I missed something or misthought something, and let me know
