#your employer has to pay you for mandatory training

I think it's kinda crazy that we have seperate labor protections for children and adults. Like, I get that there are some things that children need specifically (for instance someone who is not grown probably shouldnt be doing ladder work) but most things that apply to children are also good for adults. In the state of Oregon, employers are required to give adult employees 10 minute breaks minimum, and 15 minute long breaks for minors. I think everyone needs 15 minute breaks, personally. 10 isnt enough for anything. Children are protected from working too long, from doing too many hours while they're in school, etc. Stuff like that should maybe also apply to adults, with the caveat that they should be compensated enough to live with those restrictions.
College students taking a full load should never have to work more than 20 hours a week to survive. Maybe not at all, honestly. The idea that since college primarily benefits the person going to it they should pay to go is stupid. People should be paid money to go to college because they are improving society by learning (in theory), or they are generating knowledge, or they are preparing to enter the workforce. Grad students get paid to TA, or to run labs, and in my personal opinion students should also be paid to work in those labs and train under them.
#labor#ive been an adult for 5 years and i should not be in this much debt#learning is labor#training is labor#your employer has to pay you for mandatory training#the government should pay you for optional training too

Okay, what about the "You get seduced by an illusion of your deepest desire and it turns out to be your crush" trope for the ask game.
An AU where Second works for AFO but has a huge crush on his brother, who occasionally comes by with snacks and kind words for the workers. One day, as part of training, AFO uses a quirk that shows people their deepest desires and says that as part of training they have to resist whatever pops up.
Imagine the look on his face when Yoichi appears.
What fun! Oh no, how will I keep AFO from ending this AU early by murdering Second?
1. In this AU, AFO focused more on good publicity to keep his little brother on his side. Since AFO has a reputation as a fighter for metahuman rights, Second also joined AFO's side. However Second used to be a thief when he lived on the streets, so as a result he's allowed into the shadier side of AFO's business. He helps transfer fishy packages but doesn't know the full extent of it.
2. AFO's plan worked a little too well because now Yoichi is absolutely desperate to be part of the family business and do good for the world. AFO doesn't want Yoichi uncovering his lies. So he gives Yoichi some busywork and puts him and his perfect hair on recruitment posters. (This works very well.) Yoichi regularly makes care packages for his brother's employees. Second is smitten at first sight. Being young and inexperienced, Second doesn't understand his own feelings or why he keeps saving the wrapping from Yoichi's gifts. He just really looks forward to the visits.
3. No matter the AU, AFO is still an obnoxious boss. So naturally, he comes up with stupid mandatory team-building activities that are really more about tormenting his employees. AFO decided to publicly reveal his employees greatest desires because he thought it would be funny to humiliate them. Training them to resist was just an excuse.
4. Second saw Yoichi's face and had several realizations about himself in a row. At this point, Second's life is in grave danger. However, he's saved from the wrath of an overprotective brother because...it turns out that every single employee attracted to men had Yoichi as their desire. And there were quite a few people for whom Yoichi was the exception to their sexuality. AFO made an enormous blunder by using Yoichi on his recruitment posters. Yes he had an employment boom, but at what cost? Fortunately there are so many dream Yoichis in the room that AFO can't tell who is attracted to his brother. Oh yeah, and some of the employees had fantasies about AFO too, possibly in a threesome with Yoichi. Those poor souls take the brunt of AFO's wrath (he'd kill them if he could figure out which dreams came from which people).
5. To make this all even more mortifying, Yoichi was also at the team-building exercise and flees when the dreams start popping up. Second figures Yoichi must have been embarrassed and follows him to apologize. However, Yoichi didn't actually see that everyone had a crush on him. Yoichi ran off because his own desire popped up--and it was Second.
6. When Second sees his own shadow chasing after Yoichi, there's shock, then a tearful mutual confession, then two people who skip off for a happy first date while AFO is still trying to figure out how he can fire all of his employees and still keep his business running. He can't, but everyone gets a big pay cut.
(All of these are free to use in my Three Weeks of Trioholders event.)

The pandemic gaslighting is happening worldwide:
The Prime Ministers of Canada and, most recently, New Zealand, have assured their nation’s citizens that they had never forced anyone to get vaccinated, despite their years-long, well-documented support for vaccine mandates. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Prime Minister Chris Hipkins are joined in their elevent-hour rewrite of history by Pfizer executives who said in a recent Australian Senate hearing that “nobody was forced to have a vaccine”. As citizen journalist Rebekah Barnett has quipped, “We are at the ‘no one made you take it, it was your choice’ stage of the pandemic.” The latest round of memory-holing was kicked off by Mr Hipkins last weekend, who was apparently unaware that mandatory and compulsory are dictionary synonyms, when he stated: In terms of the vaccine mandates, I acknowledge that it was a challenging time for people but they ultimately made their own choices. There was no compulsory vaccination. People made their own choices. In case the Kiwi leader was in any way misunderstood, the follow day a radio host asked him if he regretted those remarks. Choosing his language carefully, Hipkins responded, “No one was made to be vaccinated.” “So the person, for example, who made the choice not to get vaccinated, lost their business, laid people off, that’s on them not you?” the host further challenged. “Well, they made a choice,” Hipkins replied, without a hint of irony or contrition. Here’s the same Mr Hipkins in 2021, explaining that the authorities will “go out and look for” people “who haven’t come forward to get their vaccination or have missed their bookings”: At the time, Hipkins was the architect of New Zealand’s strict Covid-19 regime under the prime ministership of Jacinta Ardern, who infamously bragged that New Zealand had become a two-tier society designed to exclude the unvaccinated. Earlier this year in April, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau engaged in almost identical denialism as the New Zealand leader. “Individuals are allowed to make their own choices. There may be all sorts of different reasons why someone is hesitant to get vaccinated,” he said at an event at the University of Ottawa. “While not forcing anyone to get vaccinated, I chose to make sure that all the incentives and all the protections were there to encourage Canadians to get vaccinated.” 18 months earlier, almost to the day, Trudeau announced nationwide vaccination mandates for all federal employees, for international travel, and even for every Canadian travelling by plane or train within the country. “Enforcement measures in place will make sure that everyone is vaccinated,” he said, in a video still available on the Prime Minister’s website. Just this August, at a Senate Education and Employment Legislation Committee hearing, Australian Senator Pauline Hanson called out Pfizer’s Head of Regulatory Affairs Brian Hewitt for a similar act of Orwellian doublespeak. She asked: You were in Australia during Covid-19. You must have been fully aware that people, nurses, doctors, people to have their jobs, to keep their jobs, were forced to have the vaccination. Now do you retract your statement that they were not forced? Hewitt replied: Senator, no, I believe firmly that nobody was forced to have a vaccine. Mandates or vaccine requirements are determined by governments and health authorities. I believe everybody was offered an opportunity to get a vaccine or not get a vaccine. I don’t believe that anybody was forced to take a vaccine. You see? Because we didn’t strap you to a bed and inject you as you kicked and screamed, you were not forced. The choice between feeding your family, paying your mortgage and keeping your career — or maintaining your bodily autonomy, your medical freedom and your dignity — was an opportunity, not an act of coercion. Doubtless these are not the last denials we will hear.

Since I can not legally say 'in a free country' the words "I want to kill the USA president*" I will say this:
I hope every billionaire dies. And I don't care: I hope it's a drawn out (but not long), excruciating, impossible to cure, they are immobile AND incapable of communicating, death. LET THEM GOD DAMN SUFFER 10000x over what they have done to humanity. Maybe for their next couple lifetimes till the lesson sticks.
I hope every person who took or is taking bribes a billionaire dies. Legal or not (cuz it isn't moral any time). Same way they did.
I hope everyone who supports billionaires dies. Quickly. Idiots don't deserve to suffer.
Because I, myself, and millions of others are probably gonna starve to death due to billionaires. So if I die, I want ALLLLLL THOSE MOTHER FUCKERS TO DIE WITH ME.
So I heard they were requiring work requirements for food stamps. NOW. RIGHT NOW. During one of the largest unemployment times in ALL USA HISTORY, AND during what is now called the 'silent depression' which has been PROVEN WORSE than the great depression!
WHICH IS INSANE.
I have never in my life thought 'we should make the poorest most vulnerable PROVE they are poor, and EARN their FEW benefits.' NEVER ONCE. And I have had some dark, cruel, sick thoughts thru my life. BUT NEVER THAT.
Maybe cuz I grew up poor. Maybe cuz I had poor friends. Or maybe we are born on a shared planet, AND OWE NO ONE FOR THAT. NO ONE. Not a single god damn person owns this planet but we pay rent to them, cuz we were CONNED into believing it.
Anyways, they require EIGHTY HOURS A MONTH. Or you're disqualified**.
And either you have to have a job job (that, btw, YOU CAN NEVER QUIT. Seriously. It says that! You have to have a GREAT reason for leaving. FORCED LABOR. AND you can NEVER volunteer to take less than 30 hours a week if you got more than that. WTF?!)
You can VOLUNTEER for FREE work. So in other words, DO NOT GET PAID, but, get enough money in a month from food stamps for about....3 weeks. I have NEVER ONCE in my life had food stamps last the whole month. Not even when I was in CA 10 years ago. Indentured servitude, anyone?
OR you can do work training programs thru the state, to teach you USELESS SKILLS that fucking high school should have taught you. Again, UNPAID.
So 2 of the ways they want you to work is to work for free, never getting beyond just to QUALIFY getting enough food from food stamps for a couple weeks. GENIUS! <fucking morons>
But 80 hours. Mandatory. Every single month. (Btw, isn't that cutting into the BEST times of the days for me to apply for and interview for jobs? IDIOTS!)
Hey-I don't mind applying for jobs, interviews, and telling you all about them. I got tons of proof I am trying to get into the work force. I am trying to make an effort. I like security, go figure.
But I have been unemployed OVER TWO YEARS. Only THREE INTERVIEWS in those 2 years. NO JOB OFFER YET. Closest I got was a job interview requiring a covid jab, and there's no god damn way in hell you're forcing me to do something to my body in order for a job. FUCK OFF. MY BODY, MY RULES. Other they wanted me to sign an arbitration agreement, which ALWAYS FUCKS THE EMPLOYEE. It is NEVER to your advantage; they were created so LEGALLY you can't sue your employer. THAT IS IT. Seriously; look into it.
I would already be DEAD, not exaggerating, if not for the food stamp program I have right now.
So now I have to apply for ANY job, take ANY job, and have to stay there till I die or I won't get food? Never moving up? Never earning more money (cuz the second I do, I LOSE food stamps, costing me even more money?)
Even if I am mistreated to the point I am suicidal?
I genuinely would rather die than enable this evil abusive system. Sincerely.
But I'm not going to do so without a fight. And maybe taking out a billionaire or so with me. Cuz it doesn't matter how much power, protection, and secrecy they have. With enough time, thought, and planning, one bullet isn't that hard to meet it's target. Ha....and if you're smart enough, it's food poisoning anyways. They're SO fucking arrogant, they forget who makes their food and does all their work for them. <And if they get paranoid enough, they'll just quit eating and starve to death, like me.> ;)
They're pushing me to the edge, and I swear, I don't push back. I bring them down the cliff with me...if only so they can't do it to another.
So let's do this. Let's see who blinks. I have NOTHING to lose; you have EVERYTHING to lose, rich bitches.
*I promise, like they want to make homelessness illegal, and they made that solider who lit himself on fire an 'enemy' cuz he believed in anarchy (which SIMPLY means NO RULERS), they will start arresting anyone anti state. Which is ironic: if I was in jail, I'd be promised more food and shelter security, FOR FREE, paid for by the taxpayers (and costing them SUBSTANTIALLY more), than if I remained in my current situation. Oh, and don't forget, largest for profit prison population used as SLAVES. So they gain 2 ways: state pays them to imprison them THEN they get to use them as cheap labor. THIS IS AN EVIL GOD DAMN SYSTEM.
**Again, if I just went out, and knocked up ANY random woman, and she gave birth, I would be promised food stamps, no work, instantly. Love that catch. Bring a child into the world you can't afford, and we'll feed YOU. But if not, starve to death if you can't find work***. Every single thing is broken.
***This just made me realize...if you were working even...70 hours a month, they would require you to volunteer for another 10 to get food stamps. What if the volunteer work only occurs the same hours you're at your job? Jesus fuck, did NO ONE think this thru in ANY way!? It always fucking gets worse...
<Do you think even a billionaire does 80 hours a month in work? FUCK NO. But we BAIL THEM OUT every god damn time.>

Tips for a Smooth CNA License Renewal
Here are some practical tips to keep in mind as you proceed with your CNA license renewal:
Stay Organized: create a checklist of required documents and deadlines to keep track of everything.
Start Early: Don’t wait until the last minute to start your renewal process. Begin a few months in advance to ensure ample time for completing education requirements.
Consult with Colleagues: Reach out to fellow CNAs or instructors who can offer support and advice based on their experiences with the renewal process.
Utilize Online Resources: Many organizations outline the renewal process explicitly. Use these resources to ensure you don’t miss any requirements.
Case Study: Maria’s Triumphant Renewal Process
Maria, a CNA from Florida, shared her experience when renewing her license this year.
“I started my renewal process three months ahead. I reviewed the Florida nursing board’s website for updates on requirements. I completed my 24 hours of continuing education in two weeks through an online course. My manager helped verify my work hours, and I submitted my application with everything ahead of the deadline,” she said.
First-Hand Experience: Navigating Renewal Challenges
Many CNAs face challenges during renewal. Here’s a common scenario:
After completing the required CE hours, James, a CNA, misplaced the proof of his education. This cost him valuable time and nerves during the renewal timeframe.
“I learned to make multiple copies of documents after that, as losing a single piece can disrupt the entire process,” he advised.
Conclusion
Renewing your CNA license in 2023 doesn’t have to be a stressful experience. By following the outlined steps and tips, you can navigate the process with confidence. Keeping your license active not only ensures compliance with state regulations but also enhances your career opportunities in the growing healthcare field. Remember, staying informed and organized is key to a successful renewal process!

Life as a Senior NCO for a Head of Household that can't Provide.
Payrolls
Payroll is a scaling based on physical fitness. The intensity of a personal income is stimulating. Because of this stimulation, you would get up and do things you wouldn't normally be doing.
This stimulation can make you stronger. But there is a certain degree where stimulation alone doesn't work. You need a physical fitness program you are going to commit to.
The current Federal Minimum Wage Law is based on being able to run a 4:00 mile. A 4:00 mile is equivalent to an Associates Degree. Which can be fairly technical.
If you cannot run a 4:00 mile, or you have not started a program to run a 4:00 mile, then the intensity of Federal Minimum Wage Law will most likely be a little too much to handle.
Of course there are different measures of pay scale. The lowest part of the scaling is usually "too unfair." In this case $7.25/hr. However, the scaling goes all the way up to $21/hr, for a private rank. Which would be the incentive to work for this sort of pay scaling.
However the next pay scale higher starts around $9.15/hr, and tops out at $42/hr. If any of this sounds like something you would be interested in.
$12/hr tops out at $350,000/yr for a private rank officer, but requires a minimum equivalent of a PhD.
Each of these scales are required a physical fitness minimum. If you are not familiar with the physical fitness standard, than most likely you are not prepared to handle the intensity of these pay scales.
The Military pay scale system is remarkable in its accuracy. And Senior NCO's rely on its accuracy, even when a private is struggling with the deepest forms of ailments.
The lowest part of the scaling is usually for ranks that would need additional training. But the expectations still apply. Until a Cadet qualifies these standards, both physical fitness, and technical skills, they are not qualified to enjoy the higher portions of this scaling.
What is most important to the Payroll Scale is that the "laws of rank and nature" still apply. In this case, that is equivalent to the Government's claw back.
Whether you want to believe it or not, through the hardest portions we've ever been through, this clawback will go through the banking system and apply.
Which would even include situations like September 11th, 2001.
And it doesn't matter what your personal abilities are, or even the severity of your ailments. You could simply be guilty of not knowing. Specifically because your conformity to the institution is too weak for the defined pay scale.
Conformity is Mandatory.
Professional Fighting usually runs a pay scale of $7-$9.15/hr. You are expected to perform to a curtain degree of fighting.
The old Federal Minimum Wage Law of $5.37 requires a 5:00 mile and a High School Degree or GED. But there is no such thing as inflation or growth in applying a payroll system. The Banking industry will not understand what the problem is when another occurrence happens such as September 11th.
Median Income is a good indicator of how well the economy is performing. But this would include job titles and rank payrolls. A struggling economy would usually have Median Income of around $56,000/yr at a Minimum Wage of $7.25/hr.
Federal Minimum Wage has been Law for nearly 27 years. But it is not considered strange to see a Median Income of around $162,000/yr.
Our business issues compensation with the understanding there is a physical fitness expectation, and a comprehensive Physical Fitness Program I refer to as the PT Rehabilitation Program, which has been reviewed by the Army Corp of Engineers. And Qualifies an Associates Degree Equivalent, as well as a qualified $21/hr Private Rank Payroll.
My Credentials include the Military's equivalent of a PhD. And this same Program may be used for higher tiers of Continual Education. Including a Bachelor's and Master's Degree. Referred to as the PT Development Program.
These physical fitness credentials will make good with your employer. And encourage employees to pursue an honest wage. And with experience, will train you how to continue our way of life, even as an employer.

Onboarding - Mandatory Training
Something that I have always firmly believed, and continue to believe is that the initial training that employers make employees take for security awareness is virtually worthless.
Let Me Explain
Typically these courses are either A extremely long or B extremely short. They normally contain some manner of quiz typically 5-10 questions where you need to get between 4-8 questions right depending on total questions. The questions sometimes cover important points, but many times seem to be randomly picked and may miss the key points (presumably to prevent cheating).
Very often you have to take the training every year, and very often it doesn't change. Sometimes even the questions stay the same. After the first one or two times no engagement is required from the employee. At that point you are really just wasting your employees time and you both know it.
The trainings are often offered while the new hire is trying to start doing work, and are distracted with things that pay the bills–leaving this training as an annoyance.
Not only that, but rarely (I have never seen it.) do the trainings cover how the employer is protecting the systems. It is always a sermon on the things that you need to do, and how it is on you to make sure things are secure.
What is really obvious to the people taking the course either right away or down the road is that this is just checking the box. This is not making them more secure, and their attention to the course is unlikely to be the deciding factor on a security breach.
Think about it–if even 50% of employers make their employees do these trainings and given the number of breaches and the fact that phishing is among the most common reason for a breach and all these trainings cover phishing–then what has your 20 minutes to 1 hour accomplished?
No matter how "prepared" your employer thinks you are–the people trying to get in will always find the avenue left unguarded. The fact is that cybersecurity is more about battling human nature and human failures than it is about anything else.
Checking the box on these trainings may make for a nice report to from the CISO, but at the end of the day the business still falls for the same tired reasons businesses have been compromised since the early days of computers, and no amount of training is going to fix that.
Don't Feel Bad
Here is the dirty secret of cybersecurity: it is unsolvable. Seriously, it will never be solved and all those people who do it are fighting a battle they can't win. It is just some days are more like a win than a loss. So when you see one of them be sure to thank them, because it's a hard job.
Also the biggest thing to remember about cybersecurity is that for you as an employee not in the IT space most of cybersecurity is common-sense. It is things you have been told you should do thousands of times. If your employer is doing their job right they will make it easy for you do the right thing to keep yourself and the company safe and hard to do the wrong thing.
I think a worthy goal for 2025 for those companies who produce these trainings is to come up with something that has some hope of working and sticking and not just checking the box and boring the pants off the audience.
Also just an FYI please don't ever use a poorly done "AI" generated voice to read the content. Those companies who make these trainings like that–you know who you are.

World News Today Live Updates on January 3, 2025
As we enter 2025, the landscape of immigration and work permits continues to evolve, particularly concerning the U.S. H1-B visa.
One of the most popular routes for foreign nationals seeking to work in the United States is through the H1-B visa, which allows skilled professionals in specialty occupations to work for U.S.
employers. However, an important question looms over potential applicants: how much it will cost you to apply for a US work permit in 2025 Let’s break down the application process, fees, and potential expenses that you may need to plan for in order to navigate this complex system.
Understanding the H1-B Visa and Its Importance
The H1-B visa is crucial for professionals aiming to work in the U.S. in fields such as technology, healthcare, finance, engineering, and more.
This visa is specifically designed for individuals with specialized knowledge who have at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in their field.
Since the number of H1-B visas is capped each year, competition for obtaining one is fierce.
In recent years, this process has become more costly, with various fees and requirements for both employers and employees.
As we head into 2025, it’s important for applicants to understand the full cost of the process to avoid any surprises along the way.
H1-B Visa Fees in 2025
If you're wondering how much it will cost you to apply for a US work permit in 2025, it’s essential to consider all the fees that are part of the application process.
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has structured the costs into different categories, which are typically paid by the employer, though some fees may fall to the applicant. Here's a breakdown of the fees you can expect:
Base Filing Fee: This is the fundamental fee that all H1-B applicants must pay when submitting their petition. In 2025, this fee will remain at $460. It’s a mandatory cost and is the starting point for the application process.
American Competitiveness and Workforce Improvement Act (ACWIA) Fee: Employers with more than 25 employees must pay an ACWIA fee of $1,500, while those with fewer than 25 employees will pay $750. This fee helps fund training programs for U.S. workers. It’s a necessary cost for companies sponsoring foreign workers.
Fraud Prevention and Detection Fee: A fee of $500 will be applied to each H1-B petition to help combat fraudulent applications and ensure that the process remains secure and legitimate. This fee remains unchanged in 2025.
Premium Processing Fee: If you or your employer are interested in expediting the process, you can opt for premium processing, which costs $2,500.
This service guarantees that the USCIS will process your application within 15 calendar days. If you need your work permit urgently, this is a worthwhile option.
Public Law 114-113 Fee: If the employer is applying for someone who has held an H1-B visa in the past or is looking to extend the visa, they may be subject to an additional fee of $4,000.
This fee applies to employers who are bringing back workers from abroad who have previously been counted against the H1-B cap.
Total Cost Breakdown
So, how much it will cost you to apply for a US work permit in 2025 will depend largely on the size of the employer and whether premium processing is selected. Here's a breakdown of the total cost for different scenarios:
For an Employer with More than 25 Employees: The total cost of applying for an H1-B visa will be approximately $6,460. This includes the base filing fee ($460), the ACWIA fee ($1,500), the fraud prevention fee ($500), and the premium processing fee ($2,500).
For an Employer with Fewer than 25 Employees: The cost will be around $5,710, as the ACWIA fee is lower at $750, but the other costs remain the same.
For a Returning H1-B Worker: If the worker has previously held an H1-B visa, the total cost could rise to $10,460 due to the additional $4,000 Public Law fee.
It’s important to note that the costs outlined above are for the application process itself.
Additional costs could arise if there are any issues with the petition, if the applicant needs to renew their visa, or if additional documents are required.
The Impact of These Costs on Employers and Applicants
The rising cost of applying for an H1-B visa has had a significant impact on both applicants and employers.
For many individuals, how much it will cost you to apply for a US work permit is a major factor in deciding whether to pursue the application in the first place.
The overall expenses can be substantial, especially for those who are not employed by large companies with the financial resources to absorb these costs.
For employers, the increasing fees could potentially limit their ability to sponsor foreign workers.
Small and medium-sized businesses that may not have the budget to cover these fees could be deterred from seeking international talent.
On the other hand, large corporations, especially in sectors like technology, are more likely to continue sponsoring foreign workers despite the rising costs.
Considerations for Applicants
As a prospective applicant, there are several factors to consider when planning your H1-B visa application:
Employer Sponsorship: Many of the fees associated with the H1-B visa are borne by the employer. Ensure that your employer is prepared to handle these costs, or inquire if you will need to cover any fees yourself.
Budgeting for Additional Expenses: Don’t forget to account for additional costs, such as legal fees, document preparation, and travel expenses, which could arise during the application process.
Consider the Lottery: Since the number of H1-B visas is capped each year, there’s always a risk that your petition might not be selected in the lottery, even after paying these fees. Be prepared for this uncertainty.
Consult an Immigration Lawyer: Given the complexity of the process, it’s advisable to consult with an immigration lawyer to help navigate the various steps and ensure that your application is completed correctly.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward into 2025 and beyond, the question of how much it will cost you to apply for a US work permit will likely continue to evolve. The U.S. government regularly reviews and adjusts visa fees based on economic factors and immigration policies.
This means that applicants may face even higher costs in the coming years, depending on how the administration responds to changing immigration dynamics.
The rising costs of applying for the H1-B visa highlight the challenges faced by foreign workers hoping to contribute to the U.S. economy.
While the process remains a vital route for skilled professionals seeking to work in the United States, understanding the full scope of the application costs is essential for anyone considering applying for an H1-B visa in 2025.
In conclusion, the cost of applying for a U.S. work permit, particularly the H1-B visa, is significant in 2025.
Applicants must budget carefully and be prepared for the complexities involved in the process.
By staying informed about the latest fee updates and regulations, both employers and employees can navigate this crucial immigration pathway more effectively.

Elevate Your Career with an MOT Management Course: Here's How
MOT or Ministry of Transport is a test, mandated by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). According to DVSA regulations, all vehicles must undergo an MOT test once they reach three years of age. It is to verify their roadworthiness with specific exceptions.
MOT courses offer individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to accurately assess and certify a vehicle’s safety and functionality. A MOT expert is an essential player in the automotive sector. They ensure compliance with regulatory standards and enhance road safety.
Pursuing MOT courses can significantly elevate your career. It provides you with specialised qualifications that are highly valued in the automotive industry. A MOT-certified professional has a comprehensive understanding of what needs to be examined during the MOT test. It not only makes you a trusted authority in vehicle safety but also opens up numerous career opportunities.
MOT Test: What Is It?
An MOT test is a yearly mandatory inspection of your vehicle conducted by an MOT-certified mechanic. During this test, the mechanic checks various components, like the braking and fuel systems, seatbelts, and mirrors, for wear and potential risks. If your vehicle fails the MOT test, it may need repairs before it can be legally driven.
The MOT test also includes an emissions check to ensure your vehicle's exhaust emissions are within legal limits. If emissions are too high, the vehicle will be illegal to drive. However, your vehicle won't need an emissions test if it:
Has less than four wheels
Possess a two-stroke engine
Is a hydrogen-fueled, electric, or hybrid vehicle
Is quadricycle
Note that the MOT test does not cover the engine, gearbox, or clutch. These require separate checks.
Benefits Of Enrolling In A MOT Course
With around 33 million cars on the UK's roads, the need and demand for vehicle checks are increasing. The automotive industry is growing with autonomous vehicles changing how we drive. The popularity of electric and hybrid cars is significantly increasing. In such a scenario, one thing remains essential: ensuring vehicle safety on roads. The MOT test plays a key role in this. By becoming a qualified MOT tester, you expand your skills and secure your future.
Here are a few benefits of MOT tester training:
Better Pay: The automotive industry needs skilled professionals, and having the right qualifications is crucial. Becoming an MOT tester can boost your job opportunities and increase your potential earnings. The average salary of a MOT tester in the UK is £26,350 per year.
Enhanced Experience: Various courses are available to boost your skills and experience in the automotive industry. Choosing the right one will enhance your abilities. Getting an MOT tester qualification will allow you to support your employer better and enhance your own experience.
New Opportunities: After obtaining your MOT tester qualification, you can advance to MOT Manager training. This allows you to oversee MOT Vehicle Test Centers. It's a regulated and lifelong qualification with no expiry.
Stay Updated: As an MOT tester, you'll need to undergo yearly training and assessment. This keeps you DVSA-approved and ensures you're aware of the changes in the ever-evolving automotive industry.
Safer Roads: MOT tester training isn't just about experience; it's about safety. When you take MOT tester training, you're doing your part to ensure the roads are safe.
Bottom Line
A MOT management course can be a transformative step in advancing your career in the automotive industry. Acquire specialised knowledge and expertise to ensure the vehicles comply with regulatory standards. With opportunities for career growth and advancement, embracing MOT management training is highly recommended. Contact MOT Expert for further guidance and help you successfully enrol in an MOT course.
