Event Announcement!
Three Weeks of Trioholders is an event in dedicated to shipping the first three One for All holders in fics and art, hosted by yours truly. I commissioned the lovely announcement art from @poysean5. This event will run from Monday October 30 to Sunday November 19 2023!
Rules:
I will be accepting not only Trioholders (Yoichi/Second/Third) but also Duoholders (Yoichi/Second aka Ichinii), Yoichi/Third, and Second/Third. Basically, if your fic or art romantically ships the first, second, and third One for All holders in any combination/pairing, then it counts. I just picked the event name to be alliterative.
There will be both an art and writing category.
You may submit as many entries as you’d like. However, you will only be eligible to win once in each category.
The minimum word count for a fic is 1,000 words. Drawings must be colored.
AI (artificial intelligence) art or writing is NOT allowed.
I will be accepting any degree of heat for the romance, from mild crushing to NSFW.
The romance does not have to be the sole focus—for example, if you wrote a crack fic about the vestiges with a side of romance then that would be accepted. At the least, two of the first three One for All holders should be main characters.
Collaborations are allowed, though you can only win one prize for the group.
I’m not picky about time zones so I will count anything submitted until it is no longer Sunday November 19th anywhere in the world (GMT-12 is the last time zone.)
Prizes:
First place in both art and writing will receive a fic of a minimum of 3,000 words from me (Katydid on Ao3) based on a prompt of your choice. Second place in both art and writing will receive a fic of a minimum of 1,500 words from me. Honestly, if you participated in my One for All October contest last year, you know when I write prizes, I tend to go over the word count. I will also be offering an undecided number of honorable mentions (awarded with snippets) depending on how many submissions I get. One honorable mention will be given out randomly to ensure that everyone has a chance to win.
I reserve the right to ask for a different request if I do not feel capable of writing the prompt.
Submission:
Please use the tag Three Weeks of Trioholders if you submit your entry on Tumblr or Archive of Our Own. Also, please @ me (aimportantdragoncollector) if you share on Tumblr. If you post elsewhere online, then you can message me, send me an ask, or leave a fic comment with a link to your entry. Twitter or Fanfiction.Net entries are welcome, just please send me the link to make sure I see it. If I haven’t reacted at all to your entry within four days then you can assume I haven’t seen it and contact me again. I reply to all comments on my fics, and my tumblr asks will be open for the duration of this event.
Please contact me here on tumblr if you have any questions. I’m excited to be hosting this event, and I can’t wait to see what gets created!

Since Yoichi and AFO are identical twins, do you think that Second ever had a nightmare where he was on a date with Yoichi and leaned in for a kiss, only for Yoichi to suddenly have All For One's face instead?
(Or worse, they were about to get married.)

Shadow of the Forgotten
My submission for @aimportantdragoncollector ‘s Three Weeks of Triholders, (Although this piece is featuring Duoholders 😅)
I created an au based around a Nyavka Yoichi and a woodsman Second . .
Nyavka are a type of Mavka, a spirit in Ukrainian folklore.
One prominent feature is that Nyavka have no back so you can see their spine . . . They often live in bodies of water like rivers or lakes in the forest (my mother for instance first told me about them as a way of warning me away from a nearby river lol). Some interpretations have them leading men to their doom and drowning them, while other interpretations have them being more benevolent caretakers of the forest although these two are not mutually exclusive!
While I'm no writer and am still coming up with ideas I believe this au would go something like this:
Yoichi and AFO were born in a mountain village surrounded by forests and bordered by a fierce river The village believed the twins to be unlucky due to their odd striking white hair and the death of their mother during their birth and they are shunned.
The two are only really allowed to stay in the village as hands to help in the fields, life is unpleasant but the two make due as they grow up. One winter when the two are around 11 or so Yoichi gets very sick. However he is refused treatment, resources are low and they village do not want to waste supplies on the weakest of the twins who would likely die before he is an adult anyways.
AFO tries to steal him medicine anyways but this goes wrong and the two are driven out of the village when he is caught. They attempt to flee across the river into the surrounding woods. Unfortunately the water is freezing and they drown.
Due to their tragic death the brothers come back as Nyavka and now dwell in the surrounding forest.
A newly undead AFO takes on a much more vindicative and aggressive role, the number of deaths caused by drowning in the nearby area skyrockets lol. Yoichi on the other hand dwells deeper in the woods and keeps to himself as much as his brother allows.
Many years later, Yoichi sees a young man with a scar across his face and striking orange hair seemingly fleeing from something. He is intrigued and decides to observe this stranger . . .
(And your standard vault escape (forest escape)) story happens from there. :) (with some more twists)

Happy Halloween! Duo holders + Sea + Fluff?
RARE ICHINII REQUEST!!! ♡(ӦvӦ。)
Ichinii/Fluff/Sea
———
Kudo let out a huff of air, eyes scanning the horizon ruthlessly as Shuzo worked a few feet away. Beside Kudo, sitting on the rock hidden beneath the docks, Yoichi swung his legs idly back and forth, the toes of his boots occasionally skimming the water. He was watching the ripples meet the waves, face pensive.
Kudo gave in to curiosity.
"What are you thinking?"
Yoichi looked up, eyes glimmering like tsavorite in the striped moonlight seeping between the wooden planks. He tipped his head, gathering the hood of his huge jacket in his hands and tugging it back up over his head like he was about to be scolded. "Hm?"
"You looked like you were thinking hard," Kudo explained, turning towards him a bit more, one eye still on Shuzo. "Are you having second thoughts?"
"No," Yoichi said quickly. "No, I just—I was just thinking." He looked out over the water, eyes on the skyline. "I've never been to the beach before. Never even been swimming, really. So I was thinking about this beach and wondering how many people come here to play during the day. What kind of shells they find in the water, and how many fish they see. Things like that." He glanced back up at Kudo abruptly, wide and sharp. "I'm not having second thoughts."
Yoichi's hand, maybe unconsciously, drifted to his neck beneath the hood, fingers brushing scar tissue. The sleeve of his dark coat slipped down, showing off even more. Identical cuffs of ragged pink.
...Maybe that had been a stupid question.
Kudo looked away, back towards the water, arms crossed. It was quiet for a moment as he rolled the words he wanted to say around in his mouth. Kudo didn't sit down, but he did move closer, leaning up against the bigger rock next to the one Yoichi was perched on.
"Once... we're out, I'll take you," Kudo murmured. "I'll take you to see a beach in the daytime."
Yoichi looked up at him, eyes wide. The water's glitter pattern reflected across his face, sending his features into stark, softening contrast. Kudo's chest squeezed, and it suddenly felt very hard to breathe.
He looked away abruptly, over the waves. "There are all kinds of beaches. This is a white sand beach, but there are others that are pink, green, black, and even purple sand beaches in other countries. There are rock pools, heated springs. I'll take you to see them. Then you can collect your own shells, and see your own fish. You won't have to wonder about it anymore. You'll know."
Yoichi stared at him for a moment. It was difficult to see in the dark, the water's reflection washing his face pale, but Kudo thought that Yoichi's cheeks looked a little...pink. Then, like the rise of the sun, Yoichi smiled.
Taking Kudo's hand, Yoichi pressed cold lips to the back of his scarred knuckles. "My hero is such a gentleman. How storybook prince of you."
It was Kudo's turn to flush, then.
He snatched his hand back and looked away with a huff. Yoichi laughed softly at him.
Shuzo finished gathering up what they needed, strapping the last cord over his chest before carefully pushing up to stand. He turned and motioned for them to follow, hurriedly making his way back up the beach towards the guard shacks.
Kudo turned back to Yoichi to jerk his head at Shuzo, showing that they needed to leave, before darting carefully after their fellow runner. The sound of boots scrabbling over sand was the only indicator that Yoichi had heeded his directions, and even that came to a stop quickly as Yoichi fell into his step pattern—a trick he'd learned from harder times of his own.
Yoichi knew how to run. Knew how to hide. Even Kudo had trouble keeping track of him sometimes.
They met Shuzo behind the bathrooms next to the third guard station, but he wasn't the only one there. A man with shimmering yellow eyes and long black hair tied back in a low ponytail smirked down at Kudo. "'Lo, Leader. Though I guess I shouldn't call you that anymore."
"No chatter, Xiaoshi," Kudo hissed, tense. "Just get us the hell out of here."
Rolling his eyes, Xiaoshi gestured them forward and held out his arm. Three hands grasped his jacket sleeve, and then they were abruptly somewhere else.
Beside him, Yoichi released Xiaoshi's arm to stagger away and heave, dropping into a crouch as he gagged through his fingers. "Oh—God, I'm sorry, I'm—" he cut himself off with another sickened noise. "I'm anemic, I get—easily motion sick..."
Kudo shook his head to dispel the lingering dizziness, slugging Xiaoshi in the arm when the bastard snickered at him. When he opened his eyes again, Shuzo was crouched by Yoichi's swaying form, murmuring, "The first few times are always the worst. I puked the first time Xiaoshi took us more than a few feet. It gets easier."
"I'm guessing you won't be needing a trip back then?" Xiaoshi mused, hands folding behind his back. He tipped his head, a few strands of hair falling into his eyes. His grin had faded. "It's not too late to change your mind. We could still use your guidance. Especially in the fights ahead."
Kudo sighed through his nose. He looked at Yoichi for a long moment, watched Shuzo pull him up again. Kudo glanced back at Xiaoshi, expression firm. "If nothing else, this will distract at least one of your opponents. If you play it right, you can pit All For One and the government against each other, even more so than they are already." Kudo held his gaze. "That's all I can give you."
Xiaoshi stayed silent for a moment more, expression unreadable. Then, snapping back into his insufferable smug persona, he smiled and flourished out a hand. "Ah, young love. The heart wants what it wants I suppose." Before Kudo could snarl at him, embarrassed, Xiaoshi spun on heel and began to walk away. "This is a nature preserve. There's no one else for miles, so you're good to take off." He gave a half-assed, two-fingered salute. "Zhàogù zìjǐ, Un-Leader."
With that, like a glitch in the framework, he was gone. Kudo pursed his lips, hands fisted, before turning back to Yoichi and Shuzo.
He couldn't afford to regret this.
"Let's get that thing in the water," he said gruffly as he came up beside them, nodding at the small boat strapped to Shuzo's back. "I wanna be well on our way out of home waters before sunrise."
Xiaoshi had taken them to another beach, this one far from the one where they'd stolen the boat, so even if they're tracks were discovered there, it'd be highly unlikely anyone would be able to track them. Xiaoshi's teleportation power really did come in handy, even if the guy was an asshole.
The moon was shielded by clouds here, leaving this beach dark and shadowed. A seemingly perfect escape.
Shuzo unhooked the last cord from his back, and the boat crashed down into the sand, half in the water. The impact made the surrounding wake light up like a lightning strike, brilliant blue glittering in and out of view like fairy lights in the water. All three of them paused.
Yoichi bent down then, stepping closer to the water to dip his hand beneath the surface. Little blue organisms lit up all around it, dancing around his wrist. "Oh!"
"Fucking bioluminescent algae?" Kudo snarled under his breath. "What part of 'discreet' did that fucker not understand?"
"He likely didn't know—" Shuzo tried, but Kudo cut him off.
"Bullshit he didn't know, Xiaoshi practically lives and breathes research."
Shuzo averted his eyes, acknowledging the point. Yoichi merely hummed, still swishing his hand around in the ebbing tide.
"He said there was no one around for miles here, that it was a nature preserve. This is probably why; beauty often gets walled off from the public. They can't keep their hands off of it. People probably tried to steal and kill and sell this stuff before the state got their hands on it."
It was said softly, thoughtfully. Distracted by the glowing bits of marine life in front of him. Kudo watched him, the scars on his wrists stark in the glow of the algae, and wondered if he understood the irony of his words.
"Regardless," Shuzo began, snapping him out of it. "We need to get going. We only have five hours before sunrise, and we need to be out of Japanese waters by then."
Looking up, Yoichi nodded and stood, hand wet and glittering. "Right."
Kudo huffed again, dog-like, before coming forward to smack the hull of the boat lightly. "In, both of you. It's on me for the next few hours."
Shuzo hopped in first, folding back the black cover to do so, then held out a hand to help Yoichi clamber up. The boat started to tip dangerously, unstable this far out of the water, and he flailed. Kudo reached forward, one hand holding the hull steady, and used the other to grasp the back of Yoichi's thigh and shove him the rest of the way up into the cradle. He flailed, disappearing into the boat floor with a dull thump.
"...Thank you."
Kudo didn't respond, focused on pushing their vessel further out into the water. Then, his palms braced against the wood, he took a running start and—
Gear shift.
Kudo tightened his grip just as the boat took off into the water, leaving a light streak of glowing blue behind it. Gritting his teeth, Kudo hauled himself into the boat and pressed his back against the hull, chest heaving.
His power wasn't meant for something so big. He had been training with it, making it stronger, but this was still a stretch of it that made him ache.
Still, Kudo breathed deep and opened his eyes to see Shuzo hooking the cover back into place on his side, leaving them mostly in the dark. It would keep their identities hidden, even from the satellites, but left enough of a gap for them to see around themselves.
Yoichi, having sat up from the floor, peeked his head over the side to watch the waves go by in fascination. He reached out, mesmerized, and trailed his fingers over the water, bioluminescence sparkling after them in thin streams.
The grin that took his face then was blinding. A childish sort of joy radiated out from him in the way he shuffled his feet against the floor, head pillowed on his arm as he gleefully watched the algae glow at his touch, slowly fading.
Kudo heart thudded in his chest.
Yes, he thought—he wouldn't regret this. He could never regret this.
Not if it got Yoichi to smile so brightly.

Zhàogù zìjǐ or 照顾自己 means "take care" in Mandarin (I think so anyway, I'm not fluent (• ▽ •;)). Xiaoshi is an OC of mine and not a real BNHA character :3
Yoichi, openly flirting with Kudo only for him to keep brushing it off: *King Julian voice* How long is this going to TAKE!?!
