I did it!! I'm so bad at speaking in front of an audience but there were so many amazing women who helped support me I was able to get through it, even if I didn't have a chance to look at my notes 🙈 I was trying to stay quiet to not wake the girls sleeping upstairs. Never would I have guessed I'd do something like this, in high school and University I would actually be physically sick and feel all flushed with buntings ears and cheeks too at just the thought of a verbal presentation but tonight I got through it without wishing it would be over and thanks to my touch liquid foundation you couldn't tell just how flushed I was ... but I didn't look like a Mombie either just a mum 😂😂 I definitely need some more practice speaking live so hopefully I'll have a little more time to prepare and maybe even do one tomorrow? 🤷🏻‍♀️ can't get better if you don't practice!

All of the MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) garbage that is currently in my apartment

I care about my mom, and bless her heart, but she’s bought into just about every MLM scam that her stay at home mom friends sell, and these products have often made their way into my apartment in the form of (often unwanted) gifts. I thought I would talk about all of the MLM scam products I’ve been gifted, along with pictures of most of them.

Younique: an MLM that sells (what I’m told is low-tier) makeup. I was gifted Younique concealer, liquid foundation, and mascara. Below is the concealer.

Zilia: A MLM that sells CBD oil (pictured is a bottle of CBD oil. Please buy your CBD oil from a reputable vendor)

Damsel in Defense: a not well-known MLM that sells home defense products to women. Pictured are a window smashing tool and a door alarm.

Norwex: an MLM that sells washcloths, hand towels, and other cleaning products. They tell you that you no longer need soap or other “nasty chemicals” because the ions in their cloth have antibacterial properties (if you’ve taken even high school level chemistry you understand how little sense that makes). Pictures below is a washcloth

Young Living Essential Oils: several were given to me for anxiety and depression. Sorry mom, but the severe performance-based anxiety and chronic depression required psychotherapy and medication, not magic oil.

A scarf from a MLM I don’t remember the name of that sells fair trade jewelry, scarves, and handbags

Though I don’t own any of their products currently Dishonorable Mention goes to Mary Kay since my mom was actually a distributor for a while

And these are just the MLM stuff that managed to make their way into my apartment.

I remember going to all of theses MLM ‘parties’ as a kid and didn’t realize that these were scams until MLM scams became a special interest after I watched a video about a law suit against Young Living Essential Oils.
