Hello, all! Due to multiple extenuating circumstances deciding to stunlock me all at once, I've made the decision to push back the debut of Issue #10 to August 12th. Sorry about the extra wait, but I promise you that it couldn't be helped.

The Youngblood Chronicles: The Comic is a fanmade, free comic adaptation of the Fall Out Boy music video series of the same name. This adaptation seeks to explore the world, plot, and characters outlined in the base story. While some character roles, storylines, and concepts will be expanded upon to fill narrative gaps and develop the story’s themes, this comic strives to remain as tonally true to the source material as possible.

also, we gonna acknowledge how much streaming services are killing the viability of the music industry? Ashton saying he’s been part of billion stream songs and they pay next to nothing should be REALLY BAD NEWS that has us thinking of the artists who don’t manage to break through with anything like youngblood or she looks so perfect

some maths for you: a billion streams=roughly $3 million for the artist. divide it up between not only 4 people but the co-writers as well and then subtract all the expenses they needed to create it (an album costs around $20k to do cheaply, but for a big hit song you’ll want to spend a lot more on promo etc). I don’t actually know how much would be left, maybe a couple hundred grand each, but the chances of getting more than one of these out per decade are very slim unless you’re one of the top few artists

because BILLION STREAM SONGS ARE NOT THE NORM for most artists. 5sos have about 10-12 billion streams all up I think? multiply these numbers by 10. they get most of their money from touring, all artists do so if you want tours to be accessible for poorer folk we need to make sure our artists can earn a living from their recordings too

rerelease the album with demos, acoustic versions, unreleased tracks

release clothing similar to that eras merch

release a gag reel from the youngblood chronicles

partner with funko (again) to release a youngblood chronicles version of the band

drop a google drive folder of high res photos from then (srar tour, monumentour, promo photos, etc.)

Adding disconnected as the throwback moment and 2011 just because, there are 27 songs I think have a real chance of making the setlist and considering the tmh setlist was floating from 24 to 28 songs, I feel like it's a reasonable guess.

And my this is my i think some of these could be added to the setlist, replace one of the above in a more realistic way (they've played it before, soundchecked it during tmh, talked about liking to play it)

I even looked up old promo material for TUE to see if maybe the Sept 16 thing was wrong, but even the teasers showed that as the air date.

Because I had SO MANY questions last night when I was binging.

Everything I can find cites the air dates for Identity Crisis and Fenton Menace as being after Sept 16 2005.

I was like 9 so I don't remember anything 😂😂

Although Fright Before Christmas is the first in canon order to come next.

It turns out that May 13th is webcomic day! So here's my bi-annual reminder to anyone who might not know yet that I'm working on a webcomic adaptation of the Fall Out Boy music video series, The Youngblood Chronicles! The project has been ongoing for over three years now, with over 300 pages and 9 issues (counting the one currently in progress).

Please be advised that the comic's main page contains a list of content warnings for the work itself, with this blog listing them out in considerably more detail here.

Ashton’s eyes bulged out of his head and the moment he caught sight of the ring and he tore his hand out of Luke’s, staring at his hand as if it was on fire. “What the fuck,” he whispers to himself before looking over at Luke, murder in his eyes. “What the fuck did you do!?” he demands, as if Luke had something to do with the entire thing. As far as he knows though, he had nothing to do with this entire situation.

There was this one time a few years back that I was in Five Guys (the burger place, not people) and Lost in Reality came on. To clarify, I’m fairly sure this was after Youngblood came out, so Lost in Reality had been released several years prior, and don’t get me wrong, I love the song because I love most of their songs, but uh, ‘twas a bit weird hearing that song randomly come on because it’s not like it was super popular. This moment haunts me, I can never figure out why Lost in Reality came on, was the person controlling the music a 5sos fan, was it randomly playing on a radio station, was it in some playlist, was it just a “you may like” thing?

Dude, I totally get you, I was in an icecream shop on a random Wednesday right after teeth came out, and easier and teeth got a decent amount of promo so hearing it out in the world wasn't that confusing, but all of a sudden more comes on. I think about that all the time. Like, I did went up to the person to ask, they said they just let youtube keep recommending songs, so total accident, but I don't really know what I would do if i heard something like lost in reality out in the wild, that's a b-side song, its like hearing daylight on a dinner, definitely not something you're ever prepared to encounter okasoaksasaoks I love that for you tho.
