If you could say any song reminds you of Gilded Constellations… what would it be?
As a reader, I can’t put one on the whole thing so far, but Sirius reminds me of Guys Don’t Like Me (by It Boys!) and I can’t put one on Y/N yet… (Remus radiates Conan Grey energy tbh) -🫎

AAAAAAH THIS IS SOOOO HARD! I literally have a miles long note on my phone with hundreds (kid you not) of songs for the chapters titles. Most of them are 60s to early 80s (because I’m a perfectionist and I want the songs so only be songs our boys would have listen to to), having said that. I’ve got a few modern songs, that I feel also fit the theme… heat me out:
Gilded Constellations is Cherry Wine by Hozier and Las Palabras de Amor by Queen
Don't touch me now Don't hold me now Don't break the spell, darling Now you are near Look in my eyes and speak to me The special promises I long to hear Las palabras de amor Let me hear the words of love Despacito, mi amor Love me slow and gently One foolish world, so many souls Senselessly hurled through The never ending cold And all for fear and all for greed Speak any tongue But for God's sake we need Las palabras de amor
Her eyes and words are so icy Oh but she burns Like rum on the fire Hot and fast and angry as she can be I walk my days on a wire It looks ugly, but it's clean Oh momma, don't fuss over me … Her fight and fury is fiery Oh but she loves Like sleep to the freezing Sweet and right and merciful I'm all but washed In the tide of her breathing And it's worth it, it's divine I have this some of the time The way she shows me I'm hers yours and she is mine Open hand or closed fist would be fine The bIood is rare and sweet as cherry wine
Sirius is Too Much Love Will KiII You by Queen
Too much love will kilI you If you can't make up your mind Torn between the lover and the love you leave behind You're headed for disaster 'cause you never read the signs Too much love will kiIl you every time Mmm, how would it be if you were standing in my shoes? Can't you see that it's impossible to choose No, there's no making sense of it Every way I go I'm bound to lose Oh-oh, yeah Too much love will kiII you Just as sure as none at all It'll drain the power that's in you Make you plead and scream and crawl And the pain will make you crazy You're the victim of your crime Too much love will kiIl you every time
Reader is Vega by Ed Sheeran
This week was heavy, I buckled under all the weight What can you do but pray? And count your blessings, it wasn't any other way Don't leave it up to fate … Clouds keep forming over this house, blocking out the sun I'm tryna keep it all together One door closes then one opens, gotta keep the focus If we'll believe, then she'll get better The days are long, but they pass within an instant, babe It is the strangest thing I'll count my blessings the day I see you smile again This war we've got to win Keep it inside, don't let no one see your heart No one can judge, we're the same in the dark Fighting the tide, but the waves, they will part Light up the night, we were made to be stars But it burns like hell to be Vega
Remus is Demons by Imagine Dragons (but also like 100 other songs Remus is all the songs)
When the days are cold And the cards all fold And the saints we see are all made of gold (Sirius) When your dreams all fail And the ones we hail Are the worst of all, and the bIood's run stale I wanna hide the truth I wanna shelter you But with the beast inside There's nowhere we can hide No matter what we breed We still are made of greed This is my kingdom come This is my kingdom come When you feel my heat, look into my eyes It's where my demons hide It's where my demons hide Don't get too close, it's dark inside It's where my demons hide It's where my demons hide At the curtain's call It's the last of all When the lights fade out, all the sinners crawl So they dug your grave And the masquerade Will come calling out at the mess you've made
And lastly, Chapter 20: Bad Moon Rising is Frozen Pines and The World Ender by Lord Huron
Deep into the night With the moonlight as my guide I go wander through the pines And make my way to nature's shrine
You'll hear me howl by the light of the moon That's how you'll know that I'm coming for you Gonna find you alone in the dark of night When the World Ender comes better run for your life

Ok so I just had a thought for creachur Y/N: So they can eat pretty much any plant. I'm talking able to digest HOLLY LEAVES and BARK straight off the plant and can eat poisonous mushrooms. HOWEVER, the company does not know this and one day Y/N is like "I'm REALLY hungry, I'm gonna get a snack" and everyone's like "sure thing kiddo" and she just grabs a fistful of leaves and starts stuffing them in her mouth and everyone panics because OH MAHAL Y/N NO YOU CANT EAT FERNS
@sleeplessdreamer14
(OKAY LITERALLY ANYONE WHO SEES THIS NEVER HESITATE TO SEND ME Y/N HEADCANONS/RANDOM CONCEPTS BECAUSE THEY BRING ME SO MUCH JOY!!!! i love adding little input and reacting to them and stuff so yea!! it kinda takes the pressure off of writing serious stuff but also gives me inspiration)
AND OBVIOUSLY I LOVE THIS CONCEPT BECAUSE @beenovel YOU HAVE AMAZING HILARIOUS ADORABLE IDEAS so you just know i gotta elaborate on it ;)
CULTURAL MISUNDERSTANDINGS GIVE ME LIFE SO STRAP IN Y’ALL 🙌
okay first of all i am so soft for middle aged/older men calling younger children or teens “kiddo” it’s just so Domestic Dad ™
so in this scenario i imagine that the company is constantly concerned that y/n is not getting enough to eat
and so when y/n is being proactive and admitting they are getting a snack because they’re hungry the company is like: 😄👍
but when the company sees y/n stuffing WILD LEAVES into their mouth
panic ensues
dwarves are tripping over themselves trying to run over to help
everyone has resorted to yelling in khuzdul
a fire has been lit under thorin and dwalin’s asses because they are SPRINTING
you know when dog owners try to pry their dogs mouths open because they’re trying to eat chocolate or plastic or something?
yeah that’s what is happening rn
“Y/N IF YOU LET GO OF THE LEAVES WE WILL GIVE YOU EXTRA SOUP TONIGHT PLEASE”
“SWEET FUCKING MAHAL Y/N WHAT ARE YOU DOING”
“WE HAVE SURVIVED COUNTLESS ATTACKS BUT ITS GOING TO BE PLANTS THAT KILL Y/N”
“SPIT THEM OUT Y/N! NO!! SPIT THEM OUT NOW!”
bilbo is all flustered and worried
“come now y/n let’s be rational now! we can’t eat every plant we find- no matter how appetizing they may look. Y/N I SAID NO!!”
y/n is SO CONFUSED
just like ??????? wut ????
and in all the confusion and yelling and HANDS IN THEIR MOUTH they spit out the leaves
y/n: wtf guys!!! not cool!! let me feast in peace!!
dwalin is yelling about not being stupid and having a “feckin death wish”
thorin looks very angry and confused and is trying to pry the leaves out of y/n’s mouth
bilbo is smacking thorin’s arm and demanding he “do something!!!” while also somehow scolding y/n
fili is beyond concerned
kili almost went into cardiac arrest and is very frantic
fee and kee’s big brother mode has been ACTIVATED
balin looks incredibly out of his element here,, poor guy very worried- he is too old for this shit
oin is already preparing a remedy
he is also too old for this shit
gloin’s face is red and he is pleading with y/n to “stop this foolishness this instant!”
dori is being (let’s all say it together. i know you know it)… a MOTHER HEN!!
#helicopterparent
nori is absolutely dumbfounded and has no idea what to do but he is trying his best
ori, knowing the vast dangers of poisonous or inedible plants, is on the verge of tears
he is frantically flipping through his notes to see what the protocol is for this situation (spoiler: there is none)
bofur is yelling A LOT and wringing his hat
bifur is also yelling a lot and waving his arms around (“SOUND THE ALARMS”)
bombur is horrified and fearing for y/n’s life (and taste buds)
time skip to after everything has been explained and the company has been appeased
(which takes a lot of time and the confirmation from gandalf that y/n is not about to drop dead or contract a serious illness)
thorin grumbles something that sounds suspiciously like “confounding creachurs going to drive me to an early grave”
dori almost faints with relief
everyone watches y/n very carefully when they eat dinner that night
fili and kili snuggle y/n in between them that night and hold them extra tight
thorin huffs in annoyance and exhaustion after the catastrophe that will henceforth be referred to as “The Leaf Incident”
but he gives you a forehead kiss nonetheless before tucking his three unofficial children into their bedrolls
dwalin keeps watch that night because this rattled him
HELP IM SOFT AGAIN
anyways yes i love this so much
and if anyone wants to add on to this PLEASE DO IT MAKES ME SO SO HAPPY
(also:
the company in mirkwood: okay but y/n isn’t going to starve because look at all the plants so no worries 👍👍👍👍👍)

A small one shot requested by popular demand from my Thorin groupies
Truth or dare
It had been a long and stressful day. The morning had started with you trapped in a Mirkwood prison cell not knowing if you would ever get to kiss you husband again and now you were being treated to a feast hosted by the Master of Laketown. I had been hard not running straight into Thorin's arms the moment you were out of danger but you had both agreed to keep this marriage a secret until Erebor was reclaimed. The secret grazes and the lingering looks had been enough to keep you going throughout the journey but each passing day it threw harder to sustain on those alone.
" - branch on a limb and a limb on a tree and a tree in a bog and a bog down in the valley o' " Bofur was at it again dining his heart out. Another folk tune, one that was easy to join in without knowing it.
"OH ROW THE RATTLING BOG, THE BOG DOWN IN THE VALLEY O'. OH ROW THE RATTLING BOOOGGGG. THE BOOOOOGGG DOOOWWNN IIN THE VALLEYYY OOOOOOOOO' " The whole company sang finishing off the little ditty before erupting into cheers. Everyone was already a couple of pints deep and more than a few had already moved on to the harder liquor.
"I suggest we play a game" Ori shouted, probably speaking before his mind had an opportunity to think anything through.
"Aye good one Ori" a smirk began to form on Fili's face and with a less than gentle nudge to him brother Kili's face now wore a matching smirk.
"Oh no they are up to something" Balin chucked taking another swig of his whiskey.
"Truth or dare Master Balin?" Kili shouted confirming the elder dwarf's fear.
"Truth" Balin spoke without fear, big mistake
"Out of respect we will start gently, since you aren't married have you fucked someone if so who"
"if that's gentle then I don't want to know what dares you have planned" Gloin laughed so hard he erupted into a coughing fit.
"I have, but I refuse to name the lass all I can say is she's married now to a noble in the blue mountain" Balin ever the diplomat.
"Have we met her?" Fili elbowed Kili hard shutting him up.
"not so fast it's not your turn" Balin continued "Nori truth or dare?"
The game kept going now involving almost everyone, even Bilbo dished some dirty little secrets and Bombur was dared to lick Oins makeshift ear trumpet. Though that put everyone off dares for a while. Now Fili turned to you.
"Y/N truth or dare?" You took a big swig of your drink as all eyes fell upon you.
"I'm going to have to choose truth" you could already feel yourself blushing but across the table you noticed Thorin watching you intensely. You thought he must be worried out the secret coming out.
"who out of everyone here do you think would be the best in bed?" At that you nearly spat out your ale.
"well obviously it would have to be one of the married dwarves" you mumbled
"no I think you misunderstood Fili, who do you think would be best in your bed" Kili quickly corrected keen to not give you an easy way out.
"oh um I don't know" you were becoming more and more flustered by the second desperately trying to avoid eye contact with anyone especially your husband.
You knew the answer. It was undoubtedly Thorin he knew you like no other ever would. He knew where to caress where to kiss where to touch and he knew how to get you to beg, but you couldn't exactly tell the company that. It would be scandalous to choose the king especially since it would appear to those on the outside that you hadn't become close enough to choose him. Then again you could hardly choose anyone else. You would not sow the seeds of doubt by even pretending to think that someone else could fuck you better.
"Come on lass you gotta choose someone we won't be offended if you don't pick us" Dwalin seemed to be getting impatient.
"Oi speak for yourself" Nori chimed in puffing out his chest.
Thorin was just watching you stall, brow arched waiting for your answer. He knew you were being backed into a corner and he did not envy you.
"I change my mind! Dare!" You shouted over the quiet bickering.
"big mistake" Fili grinned an evil grin if ever you saw one. "Kiss the member of the company you find most attractive" oh those boys were evil.
Challenging you to do the very thing you've been dying to do for months. A sneaky glance Thorin's way left you know that you both understood the secret was coming out tonight. It didn't matter Erebor would be reclaimed within the next few days and the company wouldn't be able to get word out to anybody that could separate us before Thorin is officially king. You sighed knowing what you had to do then dowing the rest of your drink. If you were going to do this then you were going to need as much Dutch courage as possible.
Under the watch of everyone you stood up, eyes closed in disbelief of your own boldness. Climbing onto the table you took the most direct route to your husband now longing to be in his arms. You jumped down onto the bench then plonked yourself squarely in his lap. Instantly his arms wrapped around your waist and you cupped his face in your hands before leaning in.
The kiss was heavenly, full of all the passion you had been holding back these past few months. You could feel his hands trying to pull you in, grasping at the fabric in a desperate attempt to pull you closed. Your fingers began to intertwine with his hair as you melted into one another. The world almost disappeared around you until you heard someone cheering. You both pulled away though your foreheads remained pressed together. You were able to gaze into his beautiful blue eyes for the first time in what felt like forever.
"Are you happy now?" You asked turning to the two princes. The smirks were gone, in their place a look of shock that seemed mirrored by everyone except Balin somehow he knew.
"Yes amrâlimê, very" Thorin whispered against your neck. Peppering you with kisses as he spoke. You were glad the secret was spilled maybe now you would be able to spend the night by your husband side with his arms wrapped around you where they belong.
Thanks all for reading

Grocery Shopping with Fili and Kili Headcanon
Tumblr media
- Fili’s the list king, obviously, but Kili doesn’t care
- “Kili, you realize we have a plan, right?”
- “Fi, we don’t need one.”
- “Y/N, you agree with me, right?”
- They make a beeline for the snack isle, no matter what you actually need
- A plethora of excuses are made for each unnecessary purchase
- “Y/N, it’s on sale. We might as well get it.”
- “You never know when you’ll need an air fryer!”
- “They get really good reviews, and we’ll use it, we promise!”
- “Boys, for the last time, we do not need an air fryer.”
- How does the cart fill up so fast
- You look away, and the next thing you know, there are at least two more items
- “You do realize that we will have to pay for this, right?”
- Kili accidentally knocks over a display of canned tomatoes and you and Fili have to clean it and Kili up, much to your chagrin
- If there’s a new item, they will coerce you into it
- “It could be the best thing you’ve ever tasted!”
- “Or not.”
- “I’m right.”
- “Well—“
- “Great!”
- Only a few minutes later....
- “Kili! How did we end up with seven bottles of whipped cream?!”
- “No idea. Fili, do you know?”
- “Nope. Y/N, why did you put seven bottles of whipped cream in the cart?”
- “You two will be the death of me.”
- You finally collect the boys and drag them to the checkout line
- “Kili, stop flirting with the cashier.”
- “Y/N, you’ve gotta admit, they were kinda cute.”
- “Fi, why are you siding with him?!”
- When you finally get home, Thorin is beyond disappointed
- “I specifically requested whole milk, and you got everything but that!”
- “Yes, Uncle, but we got an air fryer!”
- “Fili! I thought I told you no!”
- “Sorry, Y/N, I had to.”
- “No, you absolutely did not!”
- “I’d have to agree with Y/N here, Fili. Return it.”
- “Well then, back to the store we go! Kili, let’s not bring Y/N this time.”
- They sprint for the door, leaving you behind
- “If you spend all of your money, it’s not my fault!”
- “Yeah, yeah, we know!”
- They did spend all of their money, and bought out every pack of Oreos in the entire store
- Long story short, they are not allowed to shop alone anymore

Multi-Dimensional Pt. 5
Tumblr media
In which you have a genius idea to take these suckers out, you accidentally do something you’re not supposed to, and you take the taller bit of your friends out.
----
And then, you realize, that it's getting deeper into October.
As it got deeper into October, the dwarves and hobbit remain in your house. It's been a total of 2 1/2 weeks, now, and you can tell they're getting antsy from staying in one place for so long.
Like, around halloween time.
An idea strikes you in the head like a bag of bricks, and right away you realize that you're a genius.
You're sitting on the couch with Bilbo, Oin, and Bofur when the lightbulb goes off in your head suddenly, and once it does you hop to your feet and run upstairs at top speed, successfully baffling everyone idly watching the nature documentary you put on.
You pass Dwalin and Balin while you zoom to your bedroom, and when they see you run past them like freaking Speedy Gonzales they're both super confused.
Right away you grab your laptop off your bed and pull up a window.
The keys of your compute clack softly while you type in your town as well as 'Halloween Festival' and the first few results as well as images on the Google engine prove your theory.
Every year here people dress up in advance and celebrate throughout the duration of the week leading up to it. Of course, the trick-or-treating only happens on the day of, but there are a plethora of other things for people to do during that week.
People dress up, children go on field trips, there's a festival, and even the grocery stores have little events they put on to promote their business.
You've never really gone before since crowded places aren't the most comfortable for you, but you actually feel a little giddy about taking them all to see the town with you.
Right away you know you're going to have to buy them all costumes, but for the last week you've been pet sitting this rich couples Rag-doll cat, Princess, and your going rate is $18/hr for a week... Do the math ;).
You're going to get paid later in the day today after you drop her back off at their house, and that's not even accounting for the other animals you've been watching for varying amounts as well.
So, essentially, you're gonna be perfectly fine financially.
Anyways, as soon as you're done doing your little bit of research there on your computer you close it and leave your room again, hopping down the stairs with a big bright smile on your face.
When you reenter the living room, everyone is gathered there and looking at you expectantly.
At first, you don't do or say anything since you're super confused, but when the silence begins to drag on for too long you ask hesitantly, "Uh... Is everything alright? What's going on?"
"Well, you left to your room very quickly." Bilbo comments, standing up from his spot on the couch, "But from the smile on your face, I'm assuming it wasn't because of anything bad?"
You nod your head and sigh, leaning down to pet Mittens who is rubbing herself against your legs, "Yeah, everything's fine. It's great, actually." You pause for dramatic effect, then add, "I just figured out a way to take all of you out! Like, to see the town and stuff!"
"You have?" Thorin asks, raising an eyebrow skeptically.
"Mmhm!" You stand up straight and nod your head quickly, bouncing on the balls of your feet, "See, I figured I'd probably be able to take you and maybe Kili, Bofur, and Dwalin out at some point... like, if some of you were to groom yourselves different or wear hats...," once more you stop your speech and realize that may be offensive, "N-Not that I think there's anything wrong with how you look-"
"Nobody is offended, I'm sure. Go on." Thorin urges, amusement present on their faces from your sudden frantic backtracking so you don't offend them.
"R-Right, uh... anyways, you guys are taller so I knew I could probably bring you along sometime, but I wasn't sure how to get everyone else to come along, and then I realized that this next week is the week leading up to halloween!" You say it like it will answer all their questions, forgetting that they probably don't know what halloween is.
Silence passes by for a few seconds as they wait for you to go on, and when you don't Kili asks, "What's 'halloween'?"
"Oh, yeah, it's like, a holiday where children dress up and go to peoples houses to get candy. And when I say dress up, I mean in costumes." You rub the back of your neck while you explain and add, "In my city, the place we are now, we celebrate throughout the whole week. There are games, festivals, and lots of events... and there are people running around in masks all of the time. So I can get some of you costumes and then I can bring you all along!" Your smile returns as you pick apart the details, and it seems your excitement is contagious.
"Wait, so we will get to walk around the town and see other things?" Nori questions, looking over at his brothers with a smile.
"Yeah, but I gotta get you costumes first. Like, ghosts and some masks of different things. But if we wanna make the most of our time then I should probably go now."
You turn after that and go to the counter to grab your purse, pausing when Balin asks, "So it's a holiday where people run around in disguises, getting candy, and playing games as a community?"
Once again you nod your head, turning around to look at him with the same bright smile on your face.
"So, anyone can be anyone?" The older dwarf asks, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Yeah, pretty much." You look down and go through your purse, making sure everything you need is in there before walking over to put on your tennis shoes.
"Even the man who was here the week before?"
Now that certainly gives you a pause.
Before you were never worried about it, but now with what's happened with him, you aren't so sure that it's so safe anymore.
"Um... yeah, I guess." You'd rather not think about it, so you start to tie your laces up. "I'm sure it'll be fine."
"Well, you already said that you can bring some of us, so why not do that now? Just to make sure?" Balin asks, though it's more of a 'you should really do it cause we're gonna freak out if you don't'.
You don't respond and instead finish tying your shoes first, thinking over his request.
When you're done doing up your shoes you turn and see that they're all looking at you with similar expressions of worry, and it makes you sigh, "Okay, fine. But whoever goes can't wear their normal clothes cause people will be weirded out. The halloween thing doesn't start for another day."
There's a moment of silence while some of them exchange looks before Thorin speaks, "You mentioned Kili and myself first. Surely that should be fine."
"Um..." You look between the two and tilt your head to the side thoughtfully, arms crossed over your chest. "Sure. But your hair is definitely going to stick out, Thorin."
He nods his head in understanding.
"And what about me?" Kili asks eagerly. It seems he's really excited about finally being able to leave your property.
"You're fine, I think. Am I taking both of you?" You inquire with furrowed eyebrows, walking a few steps forward.
"You might as well." Kili says with a big silly smile.
Well, you can't argue with that logic.
You shrug your shoulders and head up the stairs again, "Alright, go get changed into some of the clothes I gave you."
---
Once they're dressed in t-shirts and sweatpants (you didn't know their sizes so you got whatever would fit at the time) you observe them both with narrowed eyes while rubbing your chin.
"Hm... On a scale of 1 to 10, I give Kili a 9 and Thorin a 6." You say after a moment, turning to look at everyone else and get their opinions.
"What is the scale referring to?" Fili pipes up suddenly, looking up at you.
"How convincing they are."
"Why do I get a 6?" Thorin grumbles, looking at you pointedly.
"Your hair." You reply simply, walking over with a hair tie stretched between your fingers, "Hold still."
You gather his hair over his shoulders and pull it back, putting his hair through it and wrapping it around until it's nice and tight.
As soon as you're finished, you step around him and look to see if it's made a difference, and when you've determined that it's good, you smile, "Okay, now it's at least an 8." You turn towards Kili and ask, "Your hair is fine, right? Or do you want me to put it up?"
He doesn't say anything and neither does anyone else, and when the silence persists you raise an eyebrow, "Hello? Earth to Kili, I just asked you a question."
"Uh, no, you don't have to, thank you." He shakes his head and seems to come to some sort of realization since he starts to smile at his uncle in that big teasing grin you've, unfortunately, become accustomed to.
You nod your head and skip back over to the counter, swiping your keys off of it before heading to the front door.
"Come out whenever, I'm gonna get my car started."
Once you're out of the house some of the dwarves begin to laugh, and Kili pokes fun at his uncle, "Thorin, you have quite a red face, are you sure you can go?"
Thorin glares at his nephew and replies coldly, "She meant nothing by it."
"Right, but is that disappointment I hear?"
The glare he throws his nephew is so withering it could suck the life right out of a flower, but Kili is no flower, so he only laughs more.
"She offered to do yours too, you know." Fili adds when he begins to feel bad for his uncle.
Kili pauses his laughter and glares at his brother, "But she didn't do it."
"She would've."
"Oh hush, you're just upset that she didn't ask to do your hair." Kili shoots back, glaring at his brother.
"I am not, because unlike everyone else, I knew she meant naught by asking." He shoots back with a smirk.
Kili huffs indignantly and glares at his brother, saying no more as he heads out the door after you.
Thorin turns to everyone before following and states, "Try not to destroy anything while we are gone." His voice is firm and he waits until he gets nods from them all before leaving after you.
---
Once you're all in the car you put it into drive and go, turning up the radio so the car won't be completely filled with silence while you drive.
Occasionally, you'll glance at Thorin in the passenger seat or Kili in the back, and each time you do they're looking out the window at the passing scenery with awe.
"If you're impressed now, wait until we get into the big city." You comment suddenly, smiling to yourself while you watch the road ahead.
And when you do arrive in the city, they are impressed indeed.
The gasp that leaves Kili when you drive through the first big street draws a giggle from you, and when he presses his face against the window as you pull into the parking lot of the seasonal halloween store, your smile grows even bigger.
Even Thorin is impressed by all the wonderful things around, and when you turn off the car after parking you turn to look at them, "Thoughts so far?"
"It's wonderful." Kili breathes, looking at the bright, moving signs and huge stores all around.
"Yes, I don't believe I've ever seen anything so grand before." Thorin agrees, looking over at you with a smile of his own.
"Well if this impresses you, wait until we get inside the store. Try not to get scared."
---
The three of you eventually make it inside, and when you do they are in awe once more.
The seasonal store is dark with black painted walls and bright white florescent lights, and there are various halloween and horror things everywhere.
When you walk in there is one of those electronic jump-scare things, and while you were expecting it, the poor dears behind you weren't.
The witch thing pops out and cackles loudly, saying one of her many phrases, and as soon as she does both Kili and Thorin freak out. And when I say freak out, I mean 'pulled out some small weapons they decided to bring and screaming' freak out.
Luckily there is no one around at the moment, so you step between them and the witch and laugh nervously, "Put those away please. We're gonna get kicked out if anyone sees you with those."
They look between you and the electronic woman a few times before slowly putting their knives away and relaxing their stances.
"Thank you..."
"What is that?" Kili asks, glaring at the ugly jump-scare machine while you walk past it.
"It's a halloween decoration designed to scare people. And it seems like it worked too." You reply easily, looking back at them with a more mischievous smile.
Kili looks around slightly nervously and grumbles defensively, "I wasn't that scared... Uncles screams are what startled me."
"My screams? Kili, let's not lie now, clearly you were horrified." Thorin says disapprovingly, shaking his head.
"Aw, you guys are cute." You purr jokingly, waltzing up to the kids costumes isle.
They stop arguing after that.
You browse through the messy shelves quietly for a little while, trying to find the best ones, when you see a doggie in the cutest ghost costume.
A squeal leaves your lips when you see the cutie pie and you cup your cheeks as an adoring expression comes onto your face.
Without hesitation you hop over to the owner and ask excitedly, "Where did you get that?"
The man with the dog looked up quickly upon hearing your excited yelp and when he saw your exuberant form he smiled too, "I bought it a week ago here. They're near the back."
His answer fills you with joy, and you continue to stare at his pupper for a moment before he says, "You can pet her if you want, she doesn't bite."
He doesn't need to tell you twice.
You kneel down right away and scratch behind her ears, and her tail begins to wag wildly at the attention.
It seems that she likes you just as much, because she takes a seat and leans into you when you scratch her all over like you do with your dogs. It's at that moment when you begin to wonder if she'll fit in your purse.
Before you can finish your calculations and plans on stealing this mans dog you hear someone clear their throat and you realize then that you forgot all about Thorin and Kili.
You turn your head and see the two of them standing there with amused expressions on their faces.
Upon realization that they're watching you, and have been for a little while now, you jump to your feet and feel your face heat up. "I-If you make fun of me I'll leave both of you here." You threaten very unconvincingly, crossing your arms over your chest.
Kili starts to laugh but he doesn't say anything about it, looking at his uncle who also releases a few chuckles of his own.
You glance back at the man and see that he's looking at them, and you realize he probably thinks Kili's short stature is a little odd.
"U-Uh, thanks for letting me pet your dog!" You say quickly, heading back over to the two of them with a blush on your cheeks.
You turn back to the shelves of costumes and the man and his dog walk away, and once their gone you glare at the two of them half heartedly. "You guys are total meanies." There is faux bitterness in your voice when you speak as well, and it only brings more laughter from them.
"I only find it cute." Kili states, smiling good naturedly before continuing, "Every time you see an animal you get very excited."
"Cause I love animals."
"Yes, we can tell." Thorin muses, stepping up next to you to look at the spiderman mask in your hand.
You tap your foot against the ground a few times before putting the mask back.
A ghost costume for Bilbo; check.
That is all.
You literally don't have anything for anyone else, and honestly you're beginning to think that it's impo-
And then another idea hits you.
Class of middle/high-schoolers in a fantasy club. It's farfetched and barely believable, but most people won't say anything about it out of fear of being offensive, so it's perfect!
You don't have to buy them costumes at all (minus Bilbo), all you need is stuff to make them look less like dwarves and more like children pretending to be dwarves.
It sounds easier than it actually is, but you think you can pull it off. All you need is some netting, makeup, wigs, and nose and scar wav and you'll be set.
Once you get this idea you run away from the kids section with the ghost section and head toward the halloween makeup isle, seeking out the items mentioned previously without hesitation.
You find what you're looking for in minutes, and once you've got everything you zoom to the checkout since you're going to need to look up some tips on how to pull this off.
You're so excited you nearly forget to make sure Kili and Thorin are still with you, but once you see them you smile in relief and pay for everything.
Once you're all back in your car, Thorin asks, "I thought we were going to get masks?"
"Well, we were. But then I had an amazing idea consisting of pretending you're all students or something who invested in really expensive dwarf costumes. It's perfect, 'cause no one will ask and we'll get lots of compliments."
Thorin nods his head slowly and puts his belt on like you showed him, but before you go you turn and look at Kili expectantly.
The young dwarf doesn't say anything at first, but when your staring consists he asks slowly, "What...?"
"Put on your seatbelt."
There's more silence until he puts it on, raising an expectant eyebrow at you, "Is that better?"
"Much."

Instead - Fili x reader
could u do one where fili or kili sees reader die during botfa but hes too far away to get there in time? they/them pronouns but fem is okay too ! ♡
@amanemisamisa yeah, sure!
Tumblr media
Type: Imagine Pairing: Fili x reader Summary: when Y/N goes with Fili and Kili to scout out Ravenhill, she would do anything to save their lives. Even die instead. Warnings: death, sadness, ‘shit’ Word Count: 1184 words
All non-English words are in Khuzdul.
Y/N jumped at a sudden noise, one of their hands immediately flying to their sword.
“Relax, Y/N,” Fili reassured them, patting their shoulder gently. “It’s alright. You’re with us - we’ll be fine.”
Y/N scolded themself for being so on edge, but she could see that the eerily abandoned Ravenhill was frightening Fili and Kili too - they were just better at hiding it.
“Yeah, we will,” they smiled, bumping shoulders with first the brunette then the blonde, and running their fingers along a (length) h/c braid over the top of their head.
Fili nodded, indicating with his head which hallway they’d take. Y/N followed him, but as Kili went to, Fili shook his head.
“Let’s split up,” he whispered. “We’ll cover more ground.”
“That’s a stupid idea,” Y/N hissed back. “Unless you want to get the three of us bloody killed. Mahal. C’mon, Kili.”
Kili grinned at them, motioning that they should lead the way.
“When you going to finally ask them out, coward?” he whispered to his brother with his trademark shit-eating grin. He received a slap and a muttered curse for his trouble, but still satisfied by his brother’s rapidly reddening face.
“Itkit (shut up),” Fili rolled his eyes, takign one of his many daggers from his large cloak as the three of them moved forwards.
“What was that?” Y/N allowed their voice to rise a little at the sharp sound of metal on stone. “That wasn’t something I imagined. Something else is here. We should get back to Thorin.”
“No!” Kili protested. “Uncle told us to scout it out. That’s what we’ll do.”
“You want to die?” Y/N shook their head. He was so prideful.
“We should keep going,” Fili reasoned, and Y/N reluctantly stepped forwards, but not before unsheathing their sword with a shing!
They made it through another two halls before there were any more disturbances. As Y/N peered down a dark corridor, they saw ...
“A torch ... there’s a torch!” they ran back to Fili and Kili as quietly as possible. “There is a torch - and we brought none with us. It’s gotta be an Orc.”
“We have to get out of here,” Fili took the lead again, and Y/N was very thankful for his initiative. “Kili, Y/N - follow me.”
But it was too late. An Orc had indeed emerged from the darkness, grinning deformedly as it took a battle-axe into its hands.
“Shit,” Y/N said what the brothers had been thinking, readying their sword. “Run, or fight?”
The Orc made the decision for them, leaping towards the youngest Durin with an inhuman roar. Y/N swung their sword with both hands, batting the axe away from their head with a grunt of effort. As the Orc stumbled back, steadying itself, a knife flew past Y/N’s ear, ruffling their h/c hair as it embedded into the monster’s chest.
Fili strode over to the corpse on the ground casually, picking his knife out of the Orc with a disgusted expression. “More will come.”
“We need to leave,” Kili said, all of his stubbornness evaporating.
“It’s too late,” Y/N whispered, pointing down the hallway the first Orc had come from. More torches bobbed up and down, moving towards them in an ominous march, and the stomps of many feet accompanied them.
“No. I won’t give up,” Fili argued, grabbing Y/N by the shoulders. “Listen, Y/N, I’m going to get you out of here.”
They smiled at him with tears in their eyes, this Dwarf who they realised consciously for the first time how beautiful he was. His constant smiles and his confidence, and the way he always made them feel safe and loved.
And Y/N realised that they couldn’t just let him die for them.
“No,” Y/N shook their head sadly. “I’m not getting out of here. You are.”
Without further ado, they pushed Kili out of a window. They were only on the first floor - it wasn’t much of a drop and the Dwarf was fine.
“I’m sorry,” Y/N whispered quickly to Fili. “But you’re not dying for me. I’m prepared to die instead.”
Then the blond fell a couple short metres, staring up at Y/N with abject horror in his eyes. They hung out of the window, h/l hair tousled by the breeze, and a single tear running down their s/c cheek.
“I’m sorry,” they said again, before they were yanked back from the window by a large grey hand.
“Y/N!” Fili screamed, but he had no time to worry about them before he found himself surrounded by Orcs. He turned to his brother. “Kili - we need to get to Thorin.”
Kili nodded quickly, and the two ran at the Orcs with a murderous speed.
Y/N, meanwhile, had been seized quickly and confiscated of her weapons by none other than ..
“Azog the Defiler,” they said coolly. “I will not honour you with fear.”
He responded with only a glare, as he pulled them along, up flights of stairs, leaving Y/N to succumb to their mess of thoughts on how he was going to kill her.
The idea that they might never see Fili again brought so much pain to Y/N that another tear fell down their face, then another and another, but as they were dragged out onto a stone overcrop looking out on a battle in which Thorin, Fili, Dwalin and Kili were very much occupied, they forced themselves to stop.
If I am to die, I will not do it afraid.
Azog yelled something in the Black Speech that Y/N didn’t understand, but from the yell of anger all four Dwarves let out, it probably had something to do with them dying.
And then, before Y/N was ready for it, a sword speared through them, and they screamed in pain, struggling against the still unrelenting grip.
Suddenly, Azog let them fall, and Y/N hit the ground hard, sure something was broken from the new wave of pain.
“Y/N, Y/N!” Fili ran over to them, tears of his own falling onto their face. “I’m so sorry.”
“Never apologise, Fili,” Y/N gasped, coughing up sickening clots of blood. “I-I’m the one who should be s-sorry. Now, g-go. Don’t let me die in v-vain.”
“You’re not going to-”
“-it’s seconds away, Fili,” Y/N cut in urgently. “And before I die, I need to tell you one thing - I love you. Now, save yourself. Please.”
“Y/N, I love you too-” Fili cut himself off when he saw how their beautiful e.c eyes had gone vacant. “No. No! Amralime (my love) please, no...”
“Y/N!” Kili fell to his knees beside his brother, who had pulled his lifeless love into his arms, sobbign as he rocked back and forth. “This can’t be happening. Please, Mahal, let this not be happening!”
“We need to fight,” Fili said - a sudden, eerie calm taking over him. “We need to fight, for Y/N. And I’m not giving up their sacrifice only to die.”
---
Fili silently placed the f/c flower onto Y/N’s cold body, wiping his eyes adamantly.
“Goodbye, Amralime,” he whispered. “I’m so sorry you died instead.”

Hello there.
Kili x reader x obi-wan(slightly)
Tumblr media
(Not my image)
Summary: Annoying the company with your 'sword'  pretending it's not a metal sword, being unladylike. When in fact it wasn't a sword...it was a lightsaber.
Word count:6036
Warnings: Obi-wan , language, food stealing, dwarf nudity, put some clothes on!
Y/h/c= Your home country.
It was no secret, that you weren't from middle earth, with your strange speech, strange references, oh and the simple fact that you had fallen from the sky knocking Kili right out. Not just Kili but yourself before. You would've been quite embarrassing; if you were awake. Lucky you.
When you eventually you did awake, you were surrounded by below average height men , and man with a grey hair and wizards hat. One of the smaller men? Or dwarf you weren't sure if this was even real, it was strange to see such shorter men. His hair dark, shoulder length, not styled well compared to all the others, as for his beard..it was just stubble. The other men had long braided beards.
Yet there sat this man, very different to the others , barely with it, like he had hit his head, there you felt it , your head felt like your brain was going to pop out. You noticed , a smaller fellow jumping behind the small man to see, his curly blond her upon his head, was all to be seen.
The man that looked right out of a wrestling ring, glared at you , judging you, as did the one with ocean eyes and majestic hair. You hands behind you in the dry dirt, your heart beating heavily, shaking almost. "Uhm, w-what is h-" you didn't even get a sentence out before you were interrupted by the beardless short man.
"Well you fell out of the sky and fell on me, knocking me straight out." The man was not quite happy, "uhm, I guess I'm sorry? I didn't plan from falling from the sky, I'll try next time to see where I'm falling, but oh right, I never consented to be thrown from the sky, last time I was conscious I was- actually I do not remember." Blabbering on, even though really you should be terrified.
In the end , Gandalf and Thorin questioned you, as if they were Holt and Terry, Gandalf being Terry.
"Where do you come from, human?" The mans face frowning, the same as he had as you awoke, he spoke with sternly, as if you were a threat. Extremely intimidating. Now the others had left ,as you now sat in front of the two men.
"Uh, y/h/c." Their clothing didn't sit right with you, nor did you ever see anyone with such extreme hair styles. Maybe it was a cult?  The old man , and the slightly younger man looked at each other , then back to you , clearly confused, well the younger one anyways.
"Tell me dear, have you ever heard of Erebor?"
Thus, for whatever reason you were apart of this dwarven company, as it were.  No one was sure what in gods earth caused you to be here, well there's no 'God' in middle earth, not called God anyways.
Honestly, you didn't know what to do with yourself: no blankets, no spare clothes, no nothing except you , your thin graphic t-shirt, jeans and shoes.  Thorin was definitely no help, oh yes and no money. Who would accept plastic notes as currency here? Nor were coins from where you lived were made from gold.
Oh wait you did actually have something other than you and your clothes , you had tiny little sword, which was in fact just an letter opener, you must've been opening the post before you fell out of the sky.
Not only was it awkward between you and all the dwarves, you did not fit in. Oh yes, Gandalf explained to you that elves and wizards existed, basically explained everything. Thorin had decided this was the place they would rest for the night, so you didn't have to do any travelling... except from falling out of the sky.
You could only think, it must suck to shit squatting, oh yes you'd have to face shitting the forest soon enough... without toilet paper too. It is not even like you can be certain that no one is going to walk into the forest and find you shitting or even worse no pads bleeding out.
You were definitely not looking forward to that,  since there was no confirmation that you'd be getting home anytime soon.
So, now as the day grew dark, you sat against a large rough pine tree, the cold from the ground rising up your body. Knees pulled right up to your chest, your arms tight around, as goose bumps covered you like paint covers a wall. Hair dropping down your face as you leaned forward head on top of your knees.Staring at your feet, and the ground.
You thought on what your family must think, maybe it was like the labyrinth and they had forgotten that you had even existed. Bloody hell, Jareth, you didn't even wish for this to happen.
Not breaking out of thought when three pairs of boots, and a pair of overly large hair feet, were stood in front of you.  "Lass?"  Even then, you didn't realise, only noticing their presence when a hand was placed onto your shoulder.
Only then did you realise, looking up to see the the beardless man that you knocked out, somehow, another man with a hat , the other below average height man that looked like lion cross Seth rogen , and the jumping small fellow. "O-oh hi?"   Strange that's the only way you could put it, the two brunettes grinning largely down at you.
"Excuse their bad manners, my lady. That is Kili, my brother , Bofur, and this little fellow is Bilbo Baggins... Oh right, and I am Fili at your service." Each of them doing a little bow, Bilbo's face redden a little , being called little. What did he expect, 'Oh yes, this giant fellow with the fat ass is Bilbo.'  Them staring at you waiting for you to introduce yourself.
"Uh, I'm y/n."  Standing up , daring to do a small curtsey, with a small blush, surprised really that anyone had even approached you.
"Beautiful name, perfect, I guess I'm falling for you already, miss y/n , you know since you knocked me out."
You almost blushed at the m-Kili's words, now blushing in embarrassment. "I didn't me-" "he's only messin' with yer, lass, don't yer worry," The hatted dwarf know as Bofur had smiled at you, only to get a jab in the side by kili, only for him to return it twice as hard.
"I'm sorry, miss y/n? I'm just wondering about your clothing-" Bilbo had began to questions your clothing choice, only to be interrupted, bad manners? Definitely. "Yes, those pants are very lovely, can you do a spin-" "OI," A big muscly man, the one that had glared at you earlier had smacked the beardless dwarf on the back of his head, letting out a Yelp of pain.
"What I was going to say, before I was rudely interrupted was, are you not cold? You are barely dressed!" You had choked out a snort, at the hobbit , who had glared at Kili, he really did not like dwarves interrupting, well anyone, he's not racist.
"I'm not dressed? You've got no socks on! My mum would have scolded me, even if I just got out of the bath. 'Y/n, where's your socks! You are going to get ill! Y/n, I don't care if you have just sat down, go get your bloody socks on.' "  Starring back at you feet, now stretched across the mud, it was incredibly awkward, well until they had started laughing.
"That's just like our Amad, right, fee?" Kili had called to his brother, before sitting down on the mud near you. "Oh yes, remember when Amad told you not eat all that cake-" Looking over to Kili who's face flushed red, interrupting his brother.
"Don't you dare."  Bofur , Fili and Bilbo sat down,  you sat in a circle, Fili trying to hold back from laughing. "Well ye gotta tell us now,Fili." Bofurs hand supported his head eager for Fili to continue. Bilbo the same, he loved stories.  Kili's pleading eyes, were no match for his brother.
"Alright, so he ate all the cake, this stuff was heavily creamed, sweets covered it, it could feed 12 dwarves, that's saying a lot. Our Amad strictly told us, mostly Kili, not to eat it."
Fili's moustache braids jiggled as he talked, very distracting, letting out a small chuckle while talking a breath.  "Anyways, Amad woke up in the morning, she was not happy at all, she had yelled so loud, that me, Kili, and Thorin were awoken from upstairs. All three of us rushed down the stairs, to see the table with no cake, just the plate. Amad  stood there with her face redder than a smacked bosom, hands on her hips."
Kili face now in his hands, Fili grinning larger and larger by the second. " She had looked all three of us done, before calling Kili towards him, and it was dreadfully obviously his hair had cake crumps throughout it, he got scolded so bad."
"Is that it ," Bilbo was disappointed with the outcome, he had thought it would've been more suspenseful. "No master Baggins, Thorin later took us for training with Dwalin as well as many other viewers. Basically what happened was Dwalin threw him over his head and he landed on the floor, when he finally tried to stand up he let loose the loudest wet fart.  Then, he stood up and the back of his pants were covered, and out the ends of his trousers... he had to walk home like that."
Bursts of laughter had erupted through the circle, Kili just looked horrified with his brother, placing your hand on his shoulder, causing him to look up to you, with a sad smile.
"Don't feel bad, someone I knew yawned up to the sky and a bird shat in her mouth, to make matters worse she was afraid to tell anyone so she spat it out, and stood there with bird shit taste."
Looking at you wide eye,  "T-they did what?"
"A bird shat in their mouth."
"Such crude language, yet suddenly I feel much better." Kili smiling up to you, the other three still laughing about Kili's shitty pants.
A friendship between you and the dwarf ,you knocked out, began. Over the months you had gotten more comfortable with the company.
Soon enough you were all captured by trolls, but you were sleeping so, you woke up and everyone was packing to leave. You were very confused indeed, Thorin had announced that you all were leaving for a troll cave.
Gandalf had merged after Thorin with two swords , calling you and Bilbo over. Wow, free stuff.
What Gandalf had not expected was your behaviour later on at Rivendell... Bathing and changing at Rivendell, eating some rabbit food, it was soon time for second dinner and after that bed.
Roaming the grounds of Rivendell the next month, you had bumped into Bilbo. That's when it started, you had already been messing with your sword. When Bilbo had approached you, seeing your cheeky grin he didn't know whether to run.
"M-morning ,miss y/n?" Speaking uncertain of himself, partly nervous,  you had been pretty unpredictable, you know falling out the sky?
"Morning ,Bilbo!  How are you feeling?"  Swinging your sword in like it was baton or baseball bat, almost dropping flat on your face.
"I'm fine , thank you. Uh..." The sword now between your legs, swinging it around. "Bilbo look, it's my cock." Bilbos face now red, your crude language tended to fluster the poor hobbit, sorry the rich hobbit.
"Miss y/n, I do not think that's quite appropriate.."   You head snapping towards the hobbit, your face dropped, instantly Bilbos mouth is gapped. "Oh- I didn't mean any offence." Taking a step forward, Bilbo had stepped back , another and another.
Bilbo had ended up sprinting , you chasing him, well until an elf had offered you pastry's. Continuing your walk around the grounds, munching on your pastry, distracted by your breakfast you didn't notice the dwarf in front of you until the last second.
"Where's your trousers?!"  You had made eye contact with something other than his eyes, it was painfully obvious. Meeting his actual eyes, the smirk on his face, concluded that he had seen you check him out, flushed pink cheeks.
"Fili took my clothes."
"Why would he want to see you running around naked,-cover up gosh!" Your voice getting higher by the second.
"Well, my lady with what?" You had thrown your pastry at the dwarf, now quite put off; even though his size was quite large. Instead covering himself he began to eat the remaining amount of the pastry.
You had scoffed, walking around the dwarf, away from his naked body.
What did catch you off guard again was a  man popping out from a pillar , his longish hair blond, his eyes ocean blue, his beard trimmed, his shirt beige , with a brown leather belt around his waist. You didn't know how to describe it, you jumped when he spoke.
"Hello there,"
How could be here? In a land of dwarves, elves and wizards? It was Obi-wan Kenobi, surely he should've been in the high ground? I mean, chopping some legs...so Anakin is leg a less, because his legs Aragorn.
"General Kenobi!" Kili had to turned around, to see you running at a strange man, who was General Kenobi, turning back round he had stomped off back to the company... to gossip.
"What are you doing here, Obi-wan?" His arms held behind his back as you two walked through Rivendell together, the truth was that you had never met before.
"I'm here because of you, y/n...the Council has sent me to help you. The universe is in great danger, again."
Then, you found out your real purpose was in middle earth; to save the line of Durin, With Obi-wan Kenobi as your master you as the pad awan. However, of course you did not have the force, he was just going to teach you how not to be damsel in distress.
You didn't know how this would bring you so close to the Jedi knight..
Obi-wan, had hid until half a day from Rivendell, when you had gestured him to come out, Kili had let out the most over dramatic gasp possible. "I told you he was real!"
That definitely caught the attention of the whole company, stopping, turning , drawing there weapons, Fili pulling you out the way.
"Why are you following us?" Thorins voice boomed over the winds, you couldn't imagine how your eardrums would certainly burst if he had a microphone. Getting of the grips of the dwarves again, standing between Obi-wan and the axes of the company.
Little Bilbo just watched the slope of the mountain with amusement. "What are you doing, y/n?!"
"You stubborn dwarves, if I was walking with him with no fuse, you'd think that he was with me, he's here to help me." Kili had scoffed, nor did any of other dwarves look convinced, Obi-wans hands on his hips, puffing his chest, revealing his lightsaber.
"I've had enough, I don't care what you say Thorin, he is my protection, he's not taking any of the reward, now let's go, he is not the enemy." Maybe you told a small lie, it would not go down well if Thorin knew Obi-wan was there to protect him and his nephews.
"At the front, both of you, now." And you were walking again, you and Obi-wan at the front.
Though, all together you were from three different universes, you from one which starwars was just a set of films, and series. It felt weird. Knowing he died, old, and he didn't look himself.
"Wait, so, Qui-Gon basically died of STDs, because he so many that it slowed him down? I thought it was a rule not have attachments; but he could sleep around?" I mean, if that's the case... you are very handsome, I'm not the best looking, nor have I ever.."
Your face felt hot, that was more than light flirting, really you had only known him for 27 hours, your crush on him though, that developed from watching him on screen.
Now concentrating on where you were going, surprised when Obi-wan had let out a laugh.
"My lady, you must be mistaken, you are absolutely beautiful." Your face flushed pink, wrapping your arm around Obi-wan's arm, his eyes watched you as you did, not hilding hands or anything just his arm. There are times in life when words are not needed.
Soon enough it was time to stop, when the company approached a large path on the mountain, so big that the company could sit in a circle if they desired. Along the way many of the dwarves had collected sticks and branches for a fire.
Right against the mountain wall you had set up your bed roll, and dropped your cloak from the elves on it as a blanket, you were sure to remember to share with Obi-wan later.  Obi one had copied you, dropping his cloak neck to yours, as you both stood next to each other, the sky now dark, the smell of dinner lingered in the air.
The glow of the fire lit up Obi-wan's face, his beard now more orange, his blue eyes focused on you.
"Hey, um, Obi-wan...can I hold your lightsaber?"  His hands on his beige tunic, eyeing you down, one of a second, before handing you the weapon.
The lightsaber, heavy in your hands, yet still you were swinging it like you were playing tennis on the wii. "Um, Obi, can I please..?"  Turning to face the Jedi with pleading eyes, he just shrugged his shoulders casually nodding.
With that you had pressed the button, there stood the blue blade in front of your very eyes. Bilbo had noticed almost immediately spitting out his food, who in their right mind would give her a weapon?
Noticing Bilbos sudden uncomfortableness, grinning at him, as the saber made its way between your legs. "Hey Bilbo,Check out how big my dick is!" Bilbo had put his bowl of food down, and his behind Thorin, brooding.
"Uhm, lass? What is that?" Bofur wearily, spoke, eyeing the saber not blinking, like many other dwarves. Balin flinching as you waved it between your legs.
"It's a lightsaber, the weapon of Jedi's. Hey, Kili, sorta looks like your dick ,if it was a hundred times smaller. " Not that you were looking at Kili, his face flushed as he chocked out his stew, Thorins eyes burning into the back of the head, he would speak to him later.
"Oi, when did you get a look at Kees , lad?" Fili wan most  amused at the situation, Kili knocking him in the ribs.
"Well , what happened was I got a pastry at Rivendell, and Kili almost whacks into me. Yeah, and he was naked, so, not that I like to give away food, I throw the pastry at him and Obi-wan appears and saves me. End of story."
Now swinging the lightsaber like it was a golf club, you wondered if Obi-wan had to charge his lightsaber.  Kili now standing up , walking over to you as the dwarves forget about the story, simply because it wasn't rare that they went around naked.
"Oi, Kili , throw that stick at me, so I can hit it."
Kili had planned on telling you a piece of his mind, how his dick was not small, but there you were not a care in the world, waiting for him to pick up the stick.
His eyes searched the stone floor when his eyes catch, a thick stick not a twig. Without a thought he threw it, your eyes waiting, standing like you were going to play baseball or rounders. Swinging your arm slicing through the stick, causing it to slam to the floor in two separate pieces.
"I'm sorry, but what in middle earth is a Jedi and why do they have that, what even is that!"
Obi-wan just stood by you chest puffed, huge smirk on his face, as Kili ranted slightly , fear embedded in his eyes as he stood back as you swung the weapon around more, it was not surprising that the company were also in slight shock.
"This man is a Jedi." Pointing at Obi-wan before turning fully towards him, ignoring the others questions. "Okay, now teach me, master..." A grin across your face, as Obi-wan took the saber from your hands, turning it off, before standing behind you.
Turning your back into place, your feet in the correct stance, his back against yours as ushered you take your sword from his hands.  His hot breath briefly against your neck. Once you had done, his back peeled from yours, and he had done the same.
Throughout the next months, Obi-wan had continued to teach you how to defend yourself
, Kili always disagreeing on Obi-wand methods, suggesting he would be better to teacher you.
That was until you were all captured at Mirkwood. Of course, Obi-wan tried to use the force on the elves, however , due to being immortal they weren't easily controlled.  Somehow he did it still, only allowing you and him to escape, due to being human. What you didn't understand though, why was Obi-wan such a flirt.
The blond elf, the one that looked straight off like a princess, had stared at you and Obi-wan with his eyebrows raised. His light foot steps, couldn't be heard as he glided towards you both, standing close to Obi-wan, as the dwarves were search. Legolas excluding you two from it, using the side of your body to hide the lightsaber at Obi-wan's belt.
"Why are two humans travelling with dwarves?"   Was this elf wearing tights? David Bowie could get away with it because that ass and overall god looks, but the colour scheme on this blond elf was not it. Wondering if his dick could even breathe, maybe it shrank.
Looking at Obi-wan, who was smouldering at the elf, his lips slightly pushed out his blue eyes sharp, his long hair flowing. But..there was no wind. His hand doing a weird gesture like waving.
"We are not, we are trying to get lake town, as I have finally decided to meet my darlings parents. You will let us go." You were surprised when Obi-wan had wrapped his arm around your waist pulling you close to him. Your eyes wide, you really didn't think you were going to get out of this, how many times had you all been captured? Too many times.
"Go, follow the path, goodbye." Obi-wan had quickly let go of your waist , talking your hand, pulling you away, false smiles on your faces as you left. Trying not raise suspicion, Kili had watched the whole thing, scoffing in disgust, watching you and Obi-wan walking away.
You wanted to help the dwarves you really did;but Obi-wan had assured you they didn't need your help. You both waiting in the safe forest outside of the woodland realm, waiting for the dwarves.
Not only had Obi-wan had taught you basic defensive skills, but you had became extremely close. Here you were, stuck in a forest, no bedrolls no nothing, due to Azog. Nights were cold, so cold, as Obi-wan's duty to protect you, you both decided for your survivals there was only one way.
The fire low, so that you would not be detected by Orcs, Obi-wan and you snuggling up together, his arms around your waist, knees tucked under yours. Body heat being the only thing from stopping you both freezing to death.
During this week, what disturbed you the most, was Obi-wan's french accent...Considering there was no earth in the star-wars universe. If that matter you weren't sure. He'd pop the accent out at random moments, going to bathe in a stream?
"Do you need a chaperone, mon amour?" No, he did not go in the water with you, he just stood guard, holding his arm out to walk you to the stream and even back. Though you did have to wait by the stream while he was bathing , with his lightsaber in your hand, just in case.
However, one day when you you were bathing Obi-wan had almost had a heart attack when you let a gasp, running out of the hair all across your face, running smack into him. Your bare body against his robes, soon as he made eye contact with you he knew it was nothing life threatening.
"When I said 'You don't have time to be timid, you must be bold and daring' this was not what I mean." Obi-wan's stuck to yours , reassuring your privacy, even though his back was against the mud , your whole body pressed against him. Again with the accent, Obi-wan's smile small, your hands against his chest, as laugh erupted from your mouth.
"What is, Ma Cherie?"
"Only reason I'm laying on you butt naked is because a fish brushed against my leg." Obi-wan's once sincere face replaced with a grin you snuffled your laughter against his neck. Your cold skin against his , as vibrations travelled through his body, a laugh from his lips travelling to your ears. A few minutes passed, with you just against Obi-wan as you laughed together.
"This would be very embarrassing ,if the company found us now."
"I'll close my eyes, and you can go get dressed,"
That was it with that, Obi wan would never disrespect your modesty, it is not like when Kili had shown off on purpose.
The next day, you had caught up with the company and an injured Kili. However, the french accent was not lost...
Kili's faced laced with sweat, as you and Obi-wan made your way to the compan, his eyes met yours. He felt relieved that you had came back, yet anger still bubbled down in inside.
"I thought ye had left us." Bofur popping up infront of you two, his eyebrow raise.
"No, figured from I heard about that king , it was not the best if he had got a hold of Y/n, it is my mission to protect y/n." Bofur , along with Gloin, Dori and few others nodded in agreement.
Your eyes drifting from Obi-wan's face, back to Kili, his thigh seeping with blood, you had grabbed Obi-wan by the hand pulling him over with you towards Kili. Obi-wan meeting your eyes once again, confused with your actions. "Obi.. help him."
Letting go of your hand, Obi-wan had brought his hand over the wound, Kili tried to protest, only to be shut down by Fili. Kili felt tugging on his skin, the pain slowly disappearing, a few seconds late Obi-wan had remove his hand, stood up, made his way back to you. "W-what? H-how did you?"
This is what you and Obi-wan were sent here to do, save the line of Durin. After that, not even seconds Bard had arrived, the company was on their way again, no delays, except being caught by the master, which kind of annoyed
Obi-wan, getting to be called that without being a Jedi , disgraceful.
After that, it was one more boat ride away, and climbing more mountains. Within three hours , you feet began to blister, the knocks harsh, you wondered how Bilbo could do it, he was a happy chappy. Obi-wan next to you, had immediately picked up on you change. His eyes caught onto yours like a magnet, within seconds you were on his shoulders, hanging. Just like Anakin had carried him unconscious, he could've carried you anyway way but he decided on potato sack really?
"B-Ben!" The little shriek had erupted from your mouth in surprise, in reality it sounded like he had just made you orgasm. Your face flushed, as Obi-wan grip tightened around your thigh. "Yes, Ma Cherie?" Again with Obi-wan doing the french accent, letting out a groan.
"Never mind." For the next three hours you are carried on Obi-wan's shoulders, you couldn't imagine how his back feels. There's no negotiating with the negotiator. Your stomach ached from just being on his back. You did get to sleep for a while, which was great.
“Obi, I can walk now." Your face next the side of his face, softly speaking to him. "Are you sure?"
"Yes." With that you were back on the ground, walking with the rest of the company, though you didn't speak to many of the other dwarves much, you found yourself away from Obi-wan and in the company of Fili, who had left the company of his brother. Your conversation had started out normal, Fili telling you about the Elves, and Bilbo saving them.
"Are you courting the man?" Eyes widening at the dwarves words, it was no doubt that you had liked him watching him on screen, but no way he had made advances, had he? He could not, it's not the Jedi way. Why did he flirt with you all the time.  As you two grew close, you felt you chest tightening, you could feel that way. Just months ago you had felt the same for Kili, but then Obi-wan had appeared.
"No, why do you ask?"  Your face felt hot, unbearably hot, embarrassed that you had been clearly flirting back to Obi-wan.
"It's just that my brother... don't know if you have noticed he has been not himself, and well I think it's because of you and Obi-wan."  Fili whispered to you, you could barely hear him, but when you did make out what he was saying, why would Kili not himself because you and Obi-wan, had you offended him some how?
"What do you mean? Why would it be our fault?" It was not appropriate but a chuckle still left his lips, Fili could not understand how you could be so blind.
"You and Obi-wan flirt publicly a lot..." Then it hit you, the reason Kili could barely look at you anymore, you had not really ever have someone like you let alone possibly two.  Blush upon your cheeks, "Oh.."
"Now, you must understand, y/n , if you don't feel for him, you must put him down, do you love Obi-wan?"  Turning you face back to look at Obi-wan, who had been watching his steps, as he talked to Bilbo, who seemed to be deep into conversation. When Obi-wan's blue eyes had finally caught yours, his lips had turned up in a smile, before you turned back to the blond haired dwarf.
Fili's moustache braids jigging, as you all walked, waiting for your response.
"Jedi's aren't allowed attachments; it would never work out."
“Do you love him?” Repeating the same question, how could you know if you loved him, why would it matter it would never work out, Fili clearly didn’t want his brother heartbroken because you couldn’t decide.
“I d-don’t know, Fee,”
“Do you love Kili?”
“Really, Fili, I don’t know.”
Fili, had suggested to speak to Kili later, what if you only loved Obi-wan platonically?
Once Thorin had stopped the company for the night, and when the sky was dark. Only the glow of the fire upon your faces, Fili had left his brother on a log, making eye contact with you, gesturing for you to swap with him. Sitting upon the rough log, thighs touching, Kili had turned slightly jumping when realising it was you, his brown eyes now looking to yours with the flame of the fire reflected into them. His face with no expression at all, he didn’t even say anything to you. A string of pain, flowed through your heart, you hadn’t realised how you hadn’t spoken to Kili in months, properly anyways.
You had wrapped your arms around Kili neck, your cold flesh against Kili’s neck, as you pulled him into a tight hug, slowly he had accepted it. Wrapping his arms around your waist tightly, his head in the crook of your neck, breathing in deeply, his dark hair, tickling your neck.
“I’m sorry, Kili.” Pulling away, Kili brows scrunched together, his dark eyes searching your face, he thought he had done something wrong, and was going you space, also think mostly that you and Obi-wan were courting. However, Fili had informed him that you were not courting, he wished he could scold his older brother, for being nosy.
“W-why?” He had been jealous of your behaviour towards Obi-wan no doubt about that, but you shouldn’t have to apologise for his feelings, you could like anyone you wanted, you are beautiful, bodaciously so.
“Because I haven’t spoken to you for months, it’s not because I don’t like you, it’s just...you promise not to repeat this to anyone, especially your uncle?” Kili knew it, you didn’t like him, but his uncle? Yuck, he couldn’t be mean to you though, you were nothing but nice to him. Instead he just nodded, with a small smile.
“Thank you..the real reason why Obi-wan and I were sent here, well is to keep the line of Durin alive, must have a big effect on all the universes otherwise, two people from separate universes would not have been sent. So, we’ve been keeping this secret, it’s been hard, that’s why I spend so much time with Obi-wan.”
Kili’s eyes never left yours, as you spoke, taking a deep breath before you continued on, you were scared for the safety of your friends, Thorin didn’t care what you were doing , because you and Obi-wan were quiet and kept to yourselves, he saw how effective in battle Obi-wan was and didn’t complain. He needed the man power, there was no doubt about that.
“If I am totally honest, I do love Ben, and if he was allowed to be with me, I wouldn’t be with him, it’s not the way of the Jedi. He is my best friend, that is a gentleman, I’m sorry, but his back must’ve killed carrying me like a sack of potatoes. Plus, when we were waiting for you... I was having a bath, he was on guard and fish brush against me, I went running, fell flat on him, that was definitely not a pretty sight for hi-“
“You what?” Kili was scared to know what you were getting and frankly disturbed that Obi-wan had seen you vulnerable. You had reached and gripped his, large dwarven hand, tightly, rough, yet so warm...
“ Doesn’t matter, he was very respectful. Anyways, what I was getting at Kili, is that.. I c-can’t live within you...I love you, not platonically either, I understand if you don’t feel the same for me. I wouldn’t if I was you.” Before you could blink , his soft lips upon your, your hands in you his hair pulling him close, his hands back around his waist.
You finally felt certain of something.
Bonus:
Kili was not the slightest happy when you accidentally cut a lock of his hair off with the saber.
“Hey, Ben, can I cut your hair too?”
“Fuck off, I’m the only Jedi left with good hair, you touch it you’ll become a baked potato.”
“Okay I’m sorry!”
“mon Cherie , I could never harm you, for I love you like a dog.”
“Oi, stop flirting.” Kili had interrupted, petting his burnt detached hair.
“He just called me a dog, that’s not flirting,”

The Art of Being an Eldar: Legolas x Reader Chapter 4
Tumblr media
Summary: After discovering that you were stuck in the fantasy world you had no recollection of, your memory was jogged after weeks of depression: this land was Middle-Earth. A council of wizards and Elves was summoned, and Thranduil expressed his wishes of wanting you gone. Elrond agreed to take you in and Gandalf was excited to share in his adventures with someone who knew nothing of the world, quite like a Hobbit, but you wanted to stay in Mirkwood, with Legolas and Tauriel, of which you'd made friends with. Legolas leaves in three days to locate the orcs who enroach upon Mirkwood's northern flank, and the council sees this as a chance for you to prove your worth. If you fail, you are to leave Mirkwood...

"You what?"
Apparently Leggy didn't comprehend the concept of being accompanied by a suddenly Elvish human from another dimension.
With a sigh and a roll of your eyes, you repeated, "I said, I'm coming with you when you leave for your orc-hunting mission."
Legolas narrowed his eyes. "And who gave you permission to do this?"
"The council, that's who. So suck it up buttercup, I'm coming with your sorry ass."
Legolas rolled his eyes. "Very well. Tell me, aside from randomly swinging a sword, do you know anything about weaponry?"
You raised an eyebrow. Shit, you'd have to fight? "No, but I can say a mouthful of greetings in Elvish."
Legolas raised an eyebrow. "Nin ista, Sairen, but words are not mightier than fighting skill in battle."
You scoffed. "I can think of a pretty famous phrase from my world that totally contradicts that..."
Legolas shook his head as he sauntered past you, down the stairs of the bridge you'd found him on. The sounds of his bows and knife sheaths clanking together as he walked relaxed you. "Of course you do, mellon." He paused to look at you. "Are you not coming? We leave in three days. If you are intent on coming with me, surely you cannot believe I will let you go without even so much as learning the proper way to stab an opponent?"
You made a face, but followed him anyway. "I know how to stab."
"How, then?" He gestured to you pointedly and crossed his arms.
"Um..." You mimed the gesture you'd probably use while stabbing an orc in the guts. "Like... This? With a twist?"
"That may work if your enemy has the weak skin and flesh of a human, or even on an Elf," He pointed out, "But we are fighting orcs, Sairen. Their hide is as thick as that of a boar, and their flesh is equally so." With a flourish, he flipped out one of his long knives. He paused in handing it to you. "I am not letting you keep this, mellon. My mother gave them to me."
You froze in reaching for the weapon. "You have a mother?"
Legolas chuckled at your wide-eyed expression. "You thought I did not?"
You stiffened before hurriedly turning away. "No! Of course not! Why would you think that?!"
Legolas laughed as he followed you. "Well, I do have one. She has been away on the other end of the palace-city. I should introduce you to her."
"Is she as fabulous as your dad?" You ran the tip of your index finger along your eyebrows. "And maybe even with the same super dark eyebrows?"
Legolas smiled. "No, no. She is perfectly beautiful."
"So you're saying your dad's not?"
"What?"
"Nothing." You waved a hand. "Where's the training grounds again?"
Legolas grinned evilly. "Well, your training begins now, Sairen. See if you can actually get to said training grounds without killing yourself on that blade."
Your jaw fell. "Are you fucking kidding me?! That's child's play! Don't you think I already know how to not do that?!"
"That is a double negative sentence, but no, I do not believe you already know this skill." Blue-Eyes shot you another grin. "Besides, we are not taking the average path to the training grounds. They are outside of the palace, after all. We will go out and around, on the hardest path imaginable. For a human, they would be entirely impassable."
You stared up at him dumbly. "Uh... Do... Do you even realize I spent the last nineteen years of my life around people with the mindset of shit water I might die because I'm a-- I was a-- human? Also, I was never agile. I won't be able to make it over a log, if it's big enough."
Blue-Eyes gave you a disapproving look. "Do the humans of your world never traverse nature?"
You pretended to think about that
"Hm... Let me see... Uhm... Yeah, nope, pretty much never, unless you're one of those super outdoorsey kinds of people, and the true ones of those are rare. For instance, most usually wear really tight clothes and walk through parks with stone paths and everything primped to perfect condition so that nobody even gets grazed by a dandelion, and everything's sprayed to keep the bugs away and animals are limited to squirrels and bunnies, then they wanna act like they just walked the fuckin' Sahara Desert without water. Real outdoor people are rare. Steve Irwin? Real. Bear Grylls? Real. Josh Gates? Real. Hell, when I was a very tiny little girl I used to watch a kid's show with two brothers who pretty much lived in the jungle. But out of everybody, those are the ones I can think of right off the top of my head. Them, and the few tribal races still out there."
Blue-Eyes made a surprised face. "Well... I am glad you got a chance to experience what real life is like."
"Thank you, Blue-Eyes." You'd reached the front gates of the palace, which were opened by a couple of those ninja Elf guys. You and Legolas walked on through, and into the forest, with its pink and amber leaves, down here, nullified into black and gray, piling up in the muck of the forest floor.
You'd been surprised when you'd seen this part of Mirkwood. Apparently, only the northern half was unaffected, but the rest of the once-spectacular Greenwood the Great was now victim to a strange plague, orc attacks from the north, and giant spider infestations from the south, from an ancient ruin called Dol Goldur. Animals no longer lived here, the rivers had mostly gone thick with filth, and the trees rotted and groaned in agony. The forest would confuse you, threaten to swallow you up and make you lose your way...
If you weren't an Elf.
Luckily for you and ol' Leggy, the two of you were Elves, and he had been raised here. If you stuck close to him, you'd be fine, even if the forest did manage to confuse you. He could hardly remember a time when the slow-acting plague hadn't been part of some region of the forest, and Tauriel had told you that he was 2, 371 years old. That was a long time for a forest to be sick.
"What even caused Mirkwood to get sick? Do you even know?"
"It is a nameless malice," Blue-Eyes replied, stopping all show-offy on a thick, low-hanging bough that precariously hung over a small gorge. "The darkness stems from Dol Goldur. Now, there are rumors; rumors of a necromancer, who resides in the ruins of that ancient fort."
"Necromancer?" That hardly sounded good. In anything where it was used, necromancer usually meant one who raises dead. "That doesn't sound good. Have you investigated it?"
"Of course not," Blue-Eyes gave you an odd look, like you'd just suggested he drink out of the toilet or something. You struggled to get up the side of a log he'd just casually hopped onto. "Why should we? They are merely rumors, and the forest has been sick for a long, long while. Still... This darkness unsettles me, as it does to all Sindar whom reside here."
"Dude, then maybe you should check the fuckin ruins," You mumbled, but he ignored you and continued hopping around from flowertop to flowertop. You just trampled noisily and clumsily along behind him. "Don't you guys like, live for light? So shouldn't you see if the ruins really do have a necromancer now? Especially since this dark ooze comes from it?"
Blue-Eyes shook his head. "King Thranduil does not wish for time to be wasted on rumors when we have other matters to deal with."
"Oh, so you mean he's too busy having everybody vote on which crown of berries goes best with his eyebrows."
"What?"
"Nothing. You Elves are just stupid."
Legolas grinned. "Well, humans are equally intellectually challenged."
You paused in chasing after him, stunned. He turned to face you when he didn’t hear you following. "Did you seriously just do that?"
"Do what?"
"You literally just used big words to sound smart." You laughed theatrically. "Oh! Pardon me, fine companion, I meant to implicate that you utilize gargantuan idioms to fabricate intelligence."
He smiled slightly as you finally made it up beside him. "I suppose you are not so daft," He relented teasingly, "Otherwise you would not even have those words in your vocabulary."
You made a face and rolled your eyes. "Whatever, blondie."
The training grounds were closer than you remembered, even taking the roundabout route. Along the way, though, you'd fallen into a bog, got your face scratched up by evil tree branches, and tumbled head-over-heels down a steep ravine, getting battered and bruised all over your body.
Apparently Middle-Earth-- Mirkwood specifically-- was prone to give previously non-Elvish members of other worlds injuries.
You made quite a show; barreling through a thorn bush and landing flat on your face right on the edge of the training grounds. You heard all the Elves turn their weapons on you, in case you were an orc, but then they seen your sorry ass, and Leggy casually coming down the steep ridge as if it was just a flight of stairs.
"Mae govannen," Said Legolas cheerfully to the Elves. Casually, he picked up his knife, which you'd thrown away from you halfway down so you didn't impale yourself at any point during the fall. Still, it'd skittered down alongside you. "Sairen, it seems you've failed this test."
"I dropped it on the goddamn border..."
"Nevertheless," Blue-Eyes ignored your response. "We are here now, and forfeiting other forms of training for the sake of redoing one failed task is pointless. You will learn as much as you can here, until I say we stop."
You finally moved, trying to at least sit up on your elbows. "It's only noon. We've got till nightfall, yeah? I can do that. No problem."
Legolas grinned down at you. "Mellon, you are of the Eldar now. You are stronger than before and do not need sleep unless you wish to dream."
"I don't what?!"
"Elves do not sleep unless we have been injured and need to heal," He replied, and grabbed you by the underarms to help you up. "We are stronger and more resilient than the race of Men. You are no longer imprisoned by the necessities of the human body."
Instant headrush slammed into you. "Apparently not all human body shit..."
He raised an eyebrow. "What do you speak of?"
"Headrush, dammit."
"Oh," He grew amused. "Do you mean the Blackness? Unfortunately, that befalls us all."
You glared daggers at him.
Another Elf approached, with a slender face and long brown hair. "My lord, most of the training grounds are taken up. You may yet have mine, if you wish so."
Legolas smiled. "Ah, my thanks. [Y/N], this is one of the Elves that accompanied Lord Elrond here, Lindir."
You extended your hand. "Nice to meet you."
Both Blue-Eyes and Lindir looked at your hand in confusion. Lindir, with a glance to Legolas, slowly tried to hand you his bow. With a roll of your eyes and a shake of your head, you realized they didn't even understand what a handshake was. "No no no, sorry; that's called a handshake. It's what two people do when they meet each other where I come from. I didn't mean to confuse you. SO." You bowed in the Elvish way. "Mae govannen, Lindir of House Elrond."
Lindir and Blue-Eyes smiled. Lindir returned your bow. "Mae govannen, [Y/N] of House Thranduil."
"Lindir will be accompanying us to trace the orcs, and Erestor of Rivendell," Said Legolas, "As will another of our own house, Elros; I believe you have met him already. He was the Elf who lead you to the councilroom. From Lothlorien is a friend of mine, Haldir, and of course, with the other Elven Lords aiding us, Mithrandir feels he should send his own aid as well..."
Lindir's eyes widened. "Do not tell me..."
Blue-Eyes nodded seriously. "He is sending Naughrim to accompany us."
"Naughrim?" You asked. Of all names, that didn't sound familiar. "Who's that? Somebody not well-liked among Elves?"
Blue-Eyes fought a smile. Lindir answered you. "Mellon, Naughrim is our tongue for dwarves."
Your mouth formed an 'o' in recognition. "Ohhhh, now I get it. Elves and dwarves hate each other for no explainable reason. Got it. Who's he sending?"
Blue-Eyes shook his head in exasperation. "They are all of Erebor. Balin and Dwalin, two are named, and of the other, he is the most insufferable of dwarves; Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror, King Under the Mountain. Mithrandir believes that this will be a good experience for him as it is for us, but he refuses to come himself. He's all but forcing the situation."
You looked from Blue-Eyes to Lindir and back. "How can he force you? Dwarves and Elves are both stubborn beyond all reason, and none of you seem to take him seriously."
Legolas shook his head and pursed his lips. "Unfortunately, Dwalin is as good a tracker as any, and Ada  is not permitting many of the Sindar on this journey for the reason that we are merely meant to find where the yrch dwell, and go no further. We will need all the aide we can find, even if it is in the form of unwilling dwarves. As for them, he has promised treasure, the details of which I know not; I can only hope it is not any of ours he has promised them." He smiled at you. "Shall we?"
Before you could follow, he walked off; you glanced to Lindir questioningly. "...Ada? Who's that?"
Lindir smiled softly. "It means father. He is referring to King Thranduil."
"Oh. Now I feel stupid."
"Do not, mellon, for the language of the Elves is not easily learned unless you were born speaking the tongue."
With a roll of your shoulders, which ached, you followed Leggy.
***
"Ow, goddamn it, and goddamn you, you stupidly perfect Elf."
At the end of the day, you'd been cut, pricked, whipped by a bowstring, nicked, dinged, and all kinds of other small injuries that added up to one big mess of drying blood and bruises.
Blue-Eyes had had you train deep into the night, until the silvery waning moon had all but left the star-filled sky. Now, as the sunrise approached, you both sat on two convenient boulders, and he bandaged your bloodied hands. In the eerie half-dawn light, he looked ethereal, and his pale hands and silver tunic sleeves compared to your now dark-with-blood-and-mud-and-bruises hands and black sleeves was a huge contrast. Your hands shook slightly, aching and stinging and pained on various sorts of levels, while his were perfectly steady as he wrapped them in soft green leaves.
"Stop shaking, mellon," Legolas told you gently.
"What was that?" Your head snapped up. "Are you feeling sorry for me? Don't feel sorry for me! This is nothing! I've been shot in the calf by an orcish arr--OW!"
The leaves had drawn too tight and released some kind of juice that stung like hell. His hands hovered over yours. "My apologies, but it draws out the infection."
"What infection?!"
"You are not yet used to your Elven body yet," Blue-Eyes replied, looking into your eyes. "Since you are the equivalent of a newborn, I would say you are very susceptible to infections, sickness, and injuries."
You looked off dramatically into the distance. "That explains why I can't stop fucking getting hurt..."
"That it does," He smiled at you, and something pulsed in your chest. Da fuck... You fought a flush. He stood, then held out his hand to you. "Shall we return to the palace? You may rest until sunhigh, and then we will continue your training." You took his hand, and he helped you up; you stumbled into his chest, and backed up quickly. He took no notice, but patted your shoulder before going to retrieve his bow and quiver. "You did well today, Sairen, even if you frightened off half of the other Sindar and Silvan training here."
You made a face. "Pfft. They just can't handle my awesomeness."
"If you say so, mellon," He said, and started to take the easy way back, to your relief. You followed closely behind him.
You looked up at the stars as you walked in silence for awhile, until finally, you broke it. Of course, you broke anything, really... "Where I come from, they say there's a star for every soul that's passed away."
Legolas glanced to you, then followed your gaze wistfully. "That is something our two worlds have in common."
"Scientifically," You added, "They're spheres of hot air and gaseous materials wound up tight by gravity that glow and put off heat, but the idea always felt nice to me... But where I come from... You also can't see the stars."
Blue-Eyes halted in his tracks as if you'd just said someone murdered his mother. "I... What? You can't see the stars?!" He actually looked genuinely horrified by that idea.
You shook your head. "No. Humans... They've polluted the atmosphere too much. Filled it with trash, and man-made lights and even remnants of smoke... You can't see them."
He watched you even as you watched the stars. "I've never seen them like this... They're beautiful." You could see bands of galaxies and clouds of distant nebulae, and the small silver fires glittered in the billions, even as the pink-orange glow of the beginning of dawn was starting to show in the east. You were in awe.
You jumped when Legolas took your hand. "What?"
He smiled at you. "Come with me. I will show you one of the best stargazing places in all of Mirkwood."
"Thranduil's pavilion?"
"Better."
"Whoa. Dude, count me in."
He lead you off of the trail, deep into the woods, through the easiest ways that probably were a pain for him, but he did it anyway. Finally, you stopped at the base of a massive tree, stretching so far up you couldn't see its top. Its trunk was pockmarked with holes and vines, and after slinging his bow onto his back, he threw you a smile over his smile. "Come, Sairen."
You couldn't help but smile back. You climbed, quickly, all the way up, past the canopy, into the uppermost branches of the tree, where the copper-gold leaves thinned out to allow for one thick branch to get a view of the night sky. The branch was thick enough across to allow for two or three people to sit side-by-side against the trunk, and Blue-Eyes sat quickly as he helped you up.
Here, no branches obscured any part of your field of view. You got a perfect view of the sunrise, and the starry sky. "Holy shit..."
You felt him put an arm around you, and you stiffened, just before he breathed in your ear, "I will not let you fall from this tree, Sairen. You've only just arrived in this world, and should another portal be below that is activated by a beautiful sunrise, I am loathe to let you go, for there is so much I want to show you..." The sun burst over the distant mountains beyond Erebor, sending fiery orange and red across the sky. "Such as this. Your world does not sound as if it could have any sunrise as wonderful as this one."
A warm feeling blossomed in your chest as you watched the sunrise, jaw slack. "No... Not like this."
Legolas smiled, and finally turned his focus to it himself. Your eyes slowly dragged off of the beautiful scenery to look at the Elf beside you, and the warm feeling worsened; your heart started fluttering. Eldar only fall in love once... Galadriel had warned you.
...Shit.
A blush crawled up your face, and you tried your hardest to focus on the sky rather than the Elvish princeling pressed close against your side.
***
"Mae govannen, [Y/N] of the Woodland Realm," Greeted Lindir kindly as you approached the group of Elves gathering in front of the front gates.
"Mae govannen, Lindir of Rivendell," You replied with a smile. The Elvish greetings rolled off your tongue easily now. After the sunrise you and Blue-Eyes had watched together, you'd spent the last two days training at obscene hours and resting. Now, finally, the group of Elves leaving to track the orcs were gathering-- there were only about fifty in total, of which there were those wearing Woodland garments, the red-and-gold of Lothlorien, and the greens, purples, and browns of Rivendell. Apparently Galadriel, Celeborn, and Elrond didn't agree with Thranduil sending what would've only been a dozen to track some very dangerous orcs.
You heard several of them muttering to each other about Naughrim, something all of them had in common.
You swung your light traveling pack off of your shoulders and by your feet, scanning the crowd for a certain platinum-blonde head-- unfortunately, most of the Elves from Lothlorien had blonde hair. You looked at Lindir. "Where's Legolas?"
Lindir glanced around. "He is on his way, I am sure. After all, it is he and Haldir whom are leading this journey."
You nodded. "I've never packed for something like this before... I hope I didn't pack anything weird or forget something."
Lindir looked confused, then recognition flashed across his face. "Oh. Forgive me, I had forgotten you do not have this experience. Tell me, what did you pack?"
You shifted your weight nervously, and lowered your voice. "Uhh... Two extra pairs of clothes in case these get ruined, some extra food, even though I've noticed I don't have to eat as much as before, and some water. Then there's these," You gestured to your back, where a quiver and longbow hung from your back. You felt its weight all too strongly, and that of the sword on your hip and the knives on your thighs. "And some of those special leaves that're used for bandages."
Lindir smiled and placed a hand on your shoulder. "Mellon, you have packed what we all have, and lightly, as well."
You smiled. "Thanks. Just consider yourself lucky that I don't know how to read Elvish, or I would've packed a book or two to keep me company."
Lindir chuckled and stepped back. "Well, for now, I am glad of it. On this journey you will learn much, hopefully, and by the time we return, you may be able to speak more of Elvish. It is harder to learn to read it, I have heard, much harder."
You ran a finger over your chin in thought. "I wonder if Thranduil would let me go to Dale or Laketown to get some books in English..."
"Forgive me," Lindir looked confused. "I do not know what that is."
You realized what you'd said a second too late. "Oh! Sorry. Where I come from, Common is just referred to as English."
"Oh, I see now. I am sure he would, and if he does not yet, then perhaps one of the Woodland Elves could bring some back for you. What of Legolas? Are you not friends?"
You blushed. "Yeah, I hope so. I've never been very good at making friends, though. Nobody's ever really liked me." You realized Lindir was staring at you with an absolutely terrified expression. Your own eyes widened in alarm, and you frantically patted your face. "What?! Is there something on my face?!"
Lindir shook his head. "I-I am not sure. Your skin has suddenly gone red, as if burned. Are you ill?"
"Uhhh..."
You were spared the embarrassment of explaining blushing by all the Elves gathered suddenly gasping and bowing in the direction of the stairs. Lindir saw the cause before you did, and his jaw fell. "By all the Valar..." He bowed deeply, and you followed his motion, but not before catching a glimpse of who it was. Thranduil, of course, and Legolas, following a she-Elf in a tunic that looked as if it were made of starlight itself, with flowing white hair and alabaster skin.
"Ui!" Shouted Thranduil irritably. "Ni telima lume, autauva!"
You leaned closer to Lindir. "What did he say?"
"He is forbidding her to join us," He answered quickly.
The she-Elf whipped around, generating a power almost as strong as Galadriel's. Legolas stepped forward. "Amal... Mecin."
She shook her head. "Yon, venno, nin carindo ier nin indo. Alye uva pusta ni."
"What did she say about pasta?" You whispered.
"Sh!" Lindir said quickly.
The woman looked at Thranduil and Legolas lovingly, before approaching Thranduil and placing both hands on his face. Thranduil closed his eyes in regret, and the woman kissed him; you looked away, embarrassed. That was the Elvenqueen.
That was Legolas's mother.
"Melinyel, Thranduil, alye ista si."
Thranduil sighed. "Melinyel, mela... Mecin ea girthonwed."
With that, Legolas reluctantly took his mother's hand and lead her down the stairs. They disappeared in the crowd, until you heard the Elvenqueen's voice. "Rise, all of you." Unsure, the Elves rose one-by-one. "Which of you hail from far places, whom rescued my son Legolas Greenleaf from the fate of an early death?"
The Eldar glanced to one another, realized it wasn't their neighbor, and slowly, like somebody who'd gotten called out in class, you were being stared at, and a path was made between you and her majesty, while Legolas stood beside her.
You swallowed hard, suddenly terrified. Lindir patted your shoulder. "You have been summoned, mellon. Go, I will make sure your pack does not get swapped with someone else's."
You tried to look and walk confidently, but you were terrified. She was beautiful and indimidating, and you had to admit, you were definitely intimidated. When you reached her, you bowed as deeply and respectfully as you could, a fist over your heart. "Elen sila lumenn omentielvo, your majesty." You didn't know what else to say. What you'd said to Galadriel and Celeborn was the most respectful thing you knew in Elvish, and you'd never been in the presence of royalty.
"You come from another world," She looked down at you indifferently, and you suddenly felt very small and very weak with everybody's eyes on you. This was nothing like Thranduil's fabulously indifferent look. "Yet still, you saved my son's life. After, you make the presumption that you can live and walk among us as one of us, freely, unburdened, merely because you came here by happenstance and you were allowed the reward of living. Do you feel as if this is the correct course of action for you to take?"
You glanced to Legolas, absolutely horrified. "Y-your majesty..." Your hot-headed tongue, a lot more toned down, popped into existence. "I saved your son's life because he didn't deserve to die. I was given the freedom to live, and to repay that, I mean to make the most of my time here by helping in whatever ways that I can. King Thranduil has given me the chance to prove myself worthy of living here by allowing me to join in hunting for the orcs. If I fail, I will leave Mirkwood, and go with Lord Elrond to Rivendell."
Legolas's eyes widened a fraction of an inch, before going back to their normal selves; he looked to you with almost a sadness, but you couldn't figure out why. Elvenqueen smiled, as if proud. "Then you are not what the rumours of your world have made you out to be. You are humble and grateful, qualities I did not expect from one of this Earth. You possess a unique personality, [Y/N]. Tell me, who are your parents, so that I may refer to you properly?"
"I have no father," You said quickly, relieved that she was just trying to scare you. "None I care to speak about. But I do have a mother, who I love very much. Her name is [M/N]."
Elvenqueen smiled. "Very well, [Y/N], child of [M/N]. Here, we, all of us, have a secondary name, such as my son; Legolas Greenleaf. During this journey, you may earn your own."
You smiled back, relieved beyond relief that she'd decided not to kick your ass for existing. "My thanks, your majesty."
She sailed away regally, and Legolas shot you a glare. "Why did you not tell me you would be leaving us?" He demanded.
You balked. "I-I said if I failed..."
"And you are most likely to do so," He snapped, sending your heart and soul plummeting to roughly the center of Middle-Earth. Without another word, he followed his mother.
"Mellon?" Said Lindir from behind. You turned around; He held his bag and yours, which you gratefully took from him.
"Thanks," You said, but your eyes followed Legolas's back as he disappeared into the crowd.
"Is everything alright?"
"Just fine," You shrugged. You were used to being abandoned.
Lindir looked doubtful. "Very well, if you say so. May I introduce you to those you will be most judged by?"
"Sure."
He took you through the crowd, to the guy who helped you find the councilroom. "Ah, [Y/N]. Mae govannen."
You bowed your head and returned the greeting to Elros in a monotone voice. "So your name is Elros?"
"Yes," He replied. "Son of Elrond."
If you were taking a drink of water, you'd've spewed it everywhere. "Huh? But isn't Rivdendell like, waaay over the Misty Mountains?"
Elros chuckled. "Yes, but those of the Eldar cannot always remain in one place. We yearn for far places, and even farther shores. Long years I have spent in the halls of my father, but I left for Mirkwood when my sister, Arwen Evenstar, left for Lothlorien, to spend a time with our mother's mother, Galadriel."
Your eyes were wide. "Galadriel is a grandma?! Your grandma?!"
Lindir and Elros looked at each other in amusement. "Elves," Said Lindir, "Live forever, so long as we are not killed by injury, or the wounds of the heart."
"Wounds of the heart?" You echoed.
"When love remains unrequited, it is sometimes too much to bear," Replied Elros, "And the victim suffers long before dying of a broken heart. Oftentimes, it is when a wife perishes during childbirth, or when war or battle takes the life of a beloved, and their souls pass into the Halls of Mandos. I still worry for my father, even though my mother has long since passed due to child-sickness."
Your eyes widened. "I'm so sorry."
Elros raised a hand. "She is at peace now. She resides in the halls where her mother lives, and many of my kin who have long since passed on."
"Is Elrond gonna be okay?" Now you were worried. You didn't even know the guy (Even though you probably knew him before your amnesia.) but you didn't want him to die of heartbreak. He was being nice to you, and offering you a place to live if Thranduil decided to be more of an ass.
"He is strong," Lindir assured you, and partially Elros. "He is stout of heart and fierce of soul. He will live long yet, that I can assure you with the utmost certainty."
Together, Lindir and Elros took you to where another dark-haired Elf in the Rivendell attire spoke with a Lothlorien Elf in red-and-gold armor. White hair was braided away from his stern face. Elros said something in Elvish, getting their attention, and they both bowed to you. "[Y/N], child of [M/N], may I introduce you to Erestor, Chief Counselman of Elrond, and Haldir of Lothlorien."
"Mae govannen," They both said.
Haldir regarded you warily. "I have heard you come from far lands, one beyond even Arda."
You tried not to look stupid. "Arda?"
"This world upon which we live," Haldir clarified.
"Oh!" Now you knew what they were talking about. "You mean this whole planet? Mine never had a cool name; Earth, that's it, with a bunch of different countries on it. Are there countries besides Middle-Earth here?"
Erestor chuckled. "Yes. There is Beleriand, just the remains of it, to the farthest west. Also in the west lie the Gray Havens, and across the Sea are the Undying Lands of Aman, far from Endor-- that is to say, collectively, Middle-Earth and Beleriand."
"Oh, cool! Where I come from, nowhere has cool names anymore, except for maybe Dubai, Greece, and Rome. In the past, there were hardly ever cool places, except for Egypt and Babylon."
The four Elves around you glanced to each other in amusement, as if you were a child just learning new things; and you pretty much were...
"Haldir," Said a familiar voice, and you perked up as Blue-Eyes stepped through the crowd. Your heart sank as he completely avoided your gaze. Damn, you should be used to this kinda shit by now. One small thing and someone abandons you. "We go to meet the dwarves. You have told your party, yes?"
"Of course, mellon."
"As have I," Added Erestor as Blue-Eyes went to ask. "None of us may like this, but it the word of a Maiar, of which the Noldor still yet revere. Worry not, Legolas."
Blue-Eyes nodded, glanced to you, and walked back through the suddenly-departing crowd as the doors opened. You hefted up your bag further onto your shoulder. "Mmkay, Lindir?" You fell into step with the purple-clad Elf.
"What is it?"
"Questions. Lots of them. What the hell is a Mayan and a No-door?"
Lindir chuckled. "Maiar, and Noldor. The Noldor are the oldest of the Elves. The Maiar are wizards, servants of the Valar; such as Saruman, Mithrandir, and Radagast."
"They met gods?"
"Yes," Said Lindir doubtfully, eyeing you. "Do the people of your world not know of their gods?"
You scoffed dryly. "You kidding me? Almost everybody believes in some bearded guy in white floating through existence and pointing to a random spot, then saying 'Let there be light!' Bam, universe created. Others have much more gruesome stories; like in Norse, Odin and his two brothers cut up a giant to create the world. Then there was Egyptian, where two godly people representing the earth and sky consummated and BAM, universe created again. They all say the gods came from the sky, which others believe to be aliens-- people from other planets entirely-- but I've always been an atheist."
"And what does that mean?"
"That I don't believe a goddamn word of any of that 'god' shit."
"You should not speak of them so, for they hear all."
"Yuck. Let's hope they don't find somebody on their wedding night."
Lindir's eyes bugged out of his head. "That was... Sudden."
You grinned. "I'm like that. Get used to it, Lindy."
He frowned. "My name is Lindir."
"I know that," You laughed. "It's a nickname. It's a sign of friendship."
Lindir smiled. "Oh. Then we are friends, then?"
"Sure! I've never been friends with so many people before!" You looked ahead excitedly, waving when you seen Legolas glaring at you. So what if he was pissed? You'd make him un-pissed.
Lindir gave you a sad look. "But you have only befriended Legolas and myself."
"And Tauriel."
"Still, that is only three people." He looked genuinely confused. "Do the people of your world not believe in friendship either?"
You sighed. "Not really. They're more interested in betrayal. Me, personally, I've had it all. Betrayal, death, abandonment... I've gone through some shitty times, that's for sure. One catastrophe after the next. One painful step at a time through it. I've been through hell and back, been shattered like glass and looked death in the eye, and somehow, I'm still standing. Sometimes it feels like I've lived a thousand lifetimes in only nineteen years." You gave him a sideways smile before looking back ahead of you, trying to block all of the flashbacks...
Lindir regarded you with newfound admiration. "I can... See it, in your eyes. I believe all of us can. The things that you have endured are marked on your stride, and not many could recover from what you have recently gone through so quickly. A human with your strength is... Unheard of."
You laughed. "Yeah, 'cause now I'm an Elf!"
Lindir laughed too then, as did a few other Elves and she-Elves near to you-- as you walked out of the doors of Mirkwood's palace, you got this strange, tingly sensation in your core... The odd feeling of people laughing with you, not at you. The feeling of not being judged. Of people realizing you've been through hell. Of people not automatically striking you onto their enemy list because you're different.
As you moved into the north, the light filtering through the leaves was golden, and everything seemed at once surreal and ethereal. But aside from those two feelings, you felt one stronger than any other. You smiled as you looked around at your new friends in this new world, which still felt so familiar. You were happier than you'd ever been. Even though you'd miss your family, you were glad the portal had been closed.
And there are many paths to tread...
Through shadow, to the edge of night...
Until the stars are all alight...
You passed Blue-Eyes, who'd climbed a tree to scout, and when he seen your awestruck, childlike expression, even he, who was currently pissed at you, couldn't help but smile at down at you. You smiled back. That warm feeling returned.
Finally, I'm where I belong.
I'm...
Im...home.

Extra Notes: Elvish is SO FUCKING HARD. And yes I put the Elvenqueen in this. And dwarves are inbound. Don't guess the plotline, just DON'T.
Fun Facts: In Old Nordic mythology, there was a forest known as Mirkwood. There was also a dwarf called Durin, who created the line of the most power dwarfs, some of which, just to name a few, were Thorin, Fili, Kili, Dvalin, Balin, Oin, Oakenshield, and Gandalf. There were also many types of Elves-- Ljosalfar were the Light Elves, and Dokkalfar were the Dark Elves. In general, Elves were known as Alfar, and they lived in Alfheimr, "The Land of the Elves." Supposedly, Alfheimr had shining trees of silver and gold, like Lothlorien. Also, there was a dragon called Fafnir, a cursed fire-drake, coppery-red, who laid atop a mound of gold and guarded his wrongfully-taken treasure with his life. The original owner of this treasure was a dwarf, reduced to a husk of his former self, called Andvari, who, out of all of this treasure, loved most a golden ring, inscribed with runes. He cursed this ring, so that all who wore it would soon come into misfortune...

The Note
A/N: Another Kili story because I love my Durin boys. I got the idea from one of @thereandbackagainimagines ‘s imagines (this one) but changed it to be a Kili story. Hope you guys enjoy. I have so many stories coming for you guys it’s not even funny. Like 9 drafts that are ready to post. I have a problem, it’s fine.
Pairing: Kili x Reader
Word Count: 1,816
Warnings: Mostly fluff, a leetle angst for plot
Summary: While traveling with the company, (Y/N) receives a note from a secret admirer and she’s not sure what to believe.
Tumblr media
You sighed and wondered when this awful day was going to end. You were dead tired and hungry, one of the straps had snapped off your pack, and your best dagger’s handle had broken again. You were ready to turn around and go back to the Shire and give up. Silently, Fili drudged beside you, keeping you company at the back of the group.
You looked up as Kili called your name. He took your broken pack off your shoulders and said, “We’re stopping here for the night.”
“Thank Mahal, you said, stretching your muscles. “I gotta figure out how to fix this pack before tomorrow or my back will surely be broken by the time we reach Erebor.” The second you plopped down on the ground, Thorin gave you an order.
“Go gather firewood.”
You suppressed your eye roll and stood, feeling your feet ache more than ever.
Kili took your hand and helped you up. “(Y/N), I’ll go. Stay here.”
You waved him off. “It’s okay, it’s my turn.” You smiled at him. Kili and his brother could always lift your spirits and they were often helping you with your duties when you let them.
“Okay then…uh, before you go, can you tell me, d-do you know which way the river is?” Kili asked, hands behind his back.
You nodded slowly. “It hasn’t moved for the past three days, Kili. To the north,” you said, pointing to your left.
“Oh, that’s right. Thanks.”
You chuckled and turned down the hill.
It didn’t take long for you to find ample firewood. It was honestly the best you’d found this week. After you stacked it and started the fire over which Balin would cook, you returned to where you’d left your pack. “Now to fix this blasted thing,” you said to yourself.
You gasped when you looked down. Your bedroll had already been set out. At the head of it, rest your pack. You knelt down, taking the straps in your fingers, seeing it had been repaired. Your thumb rolled over the neat stitching. “Who’s done this?” you asked out loud though there was no one to answer. Behind you on the roll lay your dagger. It too was repaired with a note wrapped around it.
Anything for you, my darling, amrâlimê. Meet me on the south side of the river. I’ll be waiting for you.
Your brow furrowed deeply as you read the note. You didn’t recognize the handwriting. You looked up to see most of the company away from the camp with their dinner duties. The only one around to ask for advice was Thorin, who was the last dwarf you wanted to talk to about something like this.
Nevertheless, you walked over to him, interrupting him as he set out his bedroll. “Um, Thorin? Do you think Azog knows what we’re trying to do? Do you think he knows we’re here?”
He looked to you and sighed, dropping his pack on the ground. “There’s always a possibility. He has spies everywhere. But I can assure you, we are most prepared for him.”
“I’m not worried. I was just… wondering what you thought. Never mind.” You turned away and heard him continue.
“My nephews would die before they let anything happen to you, (Y/N). Don’t worry,” he mumbled.
“No one will be dying for me any time soon,” you said. He actually chuckled.
You read the note over again. Who was calling you amrâlimê? No one had ever called you that in your life. You sat on your bedroll and decided to ignore the note. While no one was around, you absently grabbed your dagger and skillfully twirled it in your fingers, tapping the blade and switching it open. The contraption worked smoother than it ever had before. Who had done this?
You stood, tucking the weapon in your trousers, and crossed to the wood. On your way by, you said to Thorin, “I’m going to the river. I’ll be back shortly.” He grunted in response.
You sneaked through the wood with your hand on your dagger. With every step closer to the river, you grew more certain that this wasn’t a good idea. You should have waited, you should have brought someone with you, you should have ignored the note!
The rippling water grew louder and you thanked the bright sun for still shining low in the sky. The last thing you needed was to come upon an enemy trap in the dark. Just when you decided to turn around and return to the camp, you heard a twig break underfoot.
You whirled, drawing your weapon and holding it roughly to the throat in front of you.
“Woah, (Y/N), it’s me!”
You huffed out a breath. “Kili! What in Mahal’s name are you doing out here? I could have killed you!” You smacked the back of his head, sending his hair flying around his face. You returned your dagger to your holster and bent to the river, wetting your hands in the cold stream and rubbing your face and the back of your neck. Your heart was pounding.
“I didn’t meant to scare you,” Kili said.
“Well, you did!” you laughed, letting your hair fall back on your wet neck. You squinted at Kili. He was watching you closely. Staring, really. “Is your brother with you? You shouldn’t be out here alone.”
“Neither should you.”
You chuckled and shrugged. He was right.
“Why are you? Out here, I mean,” he asked.
You bit your tongue. You were sure if you told him the truth he would tell Fili and neither of them would ever let it go. You’d be the joke of the company and then the whole of Erebor. You stared at the calm water. “I, uh… I came to bathe. But it’s getting dark now so… Why are you out here?”
“To meet you.”
You turned to him. He could barely meet your eyes. His hands were glued behind his back and you could see his chest rising and falling with shallow breaths. You had never seen him like this before. “How did you know I’d be out here?”
“Because I wrote the note.”
“You?” Your mind caught up with the events of the day, the little hints that you should have picked up on. Your chest swelled. He had feelings for you? He was the one who always comforted you, made you laugh, helped you with your work. Was it out of more than just friendship? Your mind flashed back to the note. You stared at him, and a sudden yearning flooded you- you wished to hear his voice say that word to you aloud.
“You wrote the note?” you breathed. “You fixed my pack? And-and my dagger?”
He nodded.
You laughed. He was always making you laugh…
Then everything turned sour. The smile was wiped from your face and you backed away. “This is one of your jokes, isn’t it? That’s really nice. Pick on the dam of the company, play with her feelings. Nice, Kili!” You bent, grabbing a rock in your hand. You threw it at him but he dodged it. You turned on your heel and started for the camp, ignoring his calls to you.
You pushed down the tears that threatened to gather in your rage filled eyes. You heard twigs snapping and rocks sliding against boots as Kili caught up with you. “(Y/N), wait!” He landed in front of you, holding your cheeks. “Wait.” His voice was soft and tender as if he were comforting a child. “You’re wrong, (Y/N).”
“Don’t patronize me.” You swatted his hands away and got around him, but he pulled on your waist with a strong grip.
He pushed your hair from your eyes. “I’m not trying to. I’d never joke about this, I’d never lie to you. You know that.” His voice died away as he ran his fingers through your hair. You placed trembling fingers on his waist and he continued with a smile twitching at his lips. “What I said in the note was true. I’d do anything for you. I’m surprised you haven’t heard Fili teasing me about it all along. He says if you wanted it, I’d find a way to move mountains for you.”
You tilted your head, a smile slowly growing. “I’ve heard him say that before. I just didn’t know…”
“That he was talking about you.” His fingers trailed down your arms and lifted your hands to his mouth. He kissed your fingers and spoke into them. “I shouldn’t have left that note. I should have just told you from the start. But there’s no privacy in the company! Ever!”
“I know!” You laughed. You knew too well the lack of privacy that came with this quest. “I had no idea who could have left such a note so my mind went straight to Azog. I thought it was a trap!” He laughed at you, his smile was bright and reaching his eyes. “I-I didn’t know.”
“You have no idea how much I care about you, do you amrâlimê?”
Your gaze fell to the ground and you felt heat rise to your neck. Your eyes blew wide when he lifted your chin and held it gently in his fingers.
“You really don’t notice how happy you make me? How I can’t keep my eyes off you? I sit next to you every evening at dinner and set my bedroll next to yours. Any duties or work that will take you away from me, I make sure it’s already done so I can spend as much time as possible with you.”
Your lips were parted in awe. He glanced down to them and your tongue darted out before they broke out into a lopsided grin. “I-I thought you were being nice.”
“Mahal, (Y/N). You’re the smartest dam I know, but you are dense sometimes!”
You smacked him, laughing.
“The whole company knows,” he said. “Thorin told me just last evening you were too good for me and that you’d never say yes.”
“Say yes to what?”
He had been speaking too quickly for his mind to keep up. He froze now, his voice soft as a mouse. “To courting. Me. To courting me. I was going to ask you.”
You bit your lip. “Oh, well, he’s wrong.”
“Who?”
“Thorin. If you asked me to court you, I’d definitely say yes.”
“I’m asking you,” he said.
“I’m saying yes.”
You barely finished your sentence. He kissed you fiercely, stealing your breath. He was holding you so tightly around your waist your toes were off the ground. You squealed and laughed into his mouth and he put you down, breathing heavily, with the widest smile you’d ever seen on his face.
“Sorry, I got excited.”
You giggled and gently pulled his lips down to yours again. A proper, passionate kiss. “I got excited too.”

Fíli & Kíli, Gen.
A/N: This is very much a Fili & Kili story. I tried to make the plot bunnies provide other options, but they just kept giving me more Fili & Kili. :)

The Boy Who Could Be King
“Fili.”
Cold, slightly sticky fingers find Fili’s beneath his blanket.
Fili yanks his hand away and rolls over. His back now faces his little brother.
“Fili,” Kili whines while climbing onto the bed they share. “Come on.” He pulls back the blankets to reveal his brother’s golden hair and grumpy face.
“Go’way, Kee,” Fili grumbles pulling the blanket back over his head.
“But Fee,” Kili worms his feet beneath the covers. “There’s something you gotta see!”
Fili huffs as he rolls over. “What is it?”
Kili shakes his head. “You have to see it.”
“Fine,” Fili grumbles and shoves the blankets off.
Kili’s face breaks into a wide grin as he bounces off the bed. He grabs his little toy bow and arrow set and practically vibrates while Fili fastens his shoes.
“Okay.” Fili straightens and tugs at his tunic which had grown too short over the past weeks.
Kili is out the door before Fili even finishes speaking. Before following his little brother he grabs some hard, cinnamon biscuits, toasted hazelnuts, and left over Christmas pudding. Kili’s adventures often last hours if not all day.
Fili rubs at his unruly, bed-damp hair. He feels bad for ignoring Kili lately, but sometimes he was such a little kid and it made Fili so mad, but he didn’t want to lash out at his little brother. He wants to protect him, but he just wishes Kili would hurry up and grow up faster.
The forest that looms darkly a few feet from their village is Kili’s favorite place and that is where he takes Fili now.
“If you’re showing me more deer poop I’m going home.”
Kili shoots a look over his shoulder. “You’ll like it. I promise.”
“I doubt that,” Fili grumbles under his breath, but he hurries to catch up with his brother.
When they crest a ridge that overlooks a wide valley Fili wants to apologize, but he doesn’t.
The valley is filled with rows of white tents. They are broken apart into obvious groupings and they all fly different banners—the white dragon of the Gondorians, the red dragon of the Oakenshields, the rampant stag of the Silvans, the white horse of the Rohirrim, and many others that Fili cannot place. But they all form a semi-circle around a large rock that seems to be the center of attention.
“This!” Kili points with a broad smile on his face.
“What is it?”
Kili shrugs and plops himself on the ridge and settles in like he does not plan on leaving for several hours.
Fili sits down next to him. “What do you think it could be?”
Kili’s eyes light up, “Maybe something to do with Gandalf!”
Fili rolls his eyes. His little brother’s obsession with the “wizard” is one of those things that Fili wishes he would outgrow and quickly.
“I heard some of the adults talking about him this morning when I was fetching water.”
Fili decides he should humor his brother, even if he only plans on using it to tease him later, “And what were they saying?”
“They were talking about the war. And that time that Gandalf told King Thorin about the dragons that were fighting in the hill where he was trying to build his castle. With the red and white dragons?”
Fili nods. “Yes. Dragons,” he scoffs.
“Fee,” Kili whines. “Why would Gandalf lie?”
Fili can think of a lot of reasons, but he keeps his mouth shut.
“They were talking about how Gandalf made King Thorin and King Thranduil quit fighting, but they said that King Thranduil had broken the treat.”
“Treaty,” Fili corrects. “It was a treaty.”
“Oh,” Kili looks at his brother, but then turns back to the goings on in the valley. His knees are drawn to his chest with arms wrapped around them with his chin resting on a knee. “They said something about a sword that will tell them who gets to be king of everything.”
“Is that what this is?”
Kili shrugs. “I think so. But I don’t understand. How is a sword going to decide who gets to be king?”
“Maybe they have to fight?”
“But no one’s fighting,” Kili pouts.
They watch in silence for a while.
Fili points. “It looks like they’re trying to pull something out of that rock.”
“Maybe the strongest one gets to be king!”
Fili nods sagely, “Yeah. They need to be strong to be a good king.”
They watch for longer and Fili pulls out the snacks that he brought and they quietly munch together while watching and talking about what they think is happening and placing imaginary bets on which knight will be successful.
As the sun sets the men disperse to their separate camps to do whatever it is that soldiers do.
Kili stands up and brushes off his pants. “Come on, Fee.” He starts down the kill.
“Where are you going?” Fili hisses, but he follows his brother anyway.
When he sees that Kili’s destination is the rock he scrambles to catch up. “What are you doing?” He grabs Kili’s tunic.
“Don’t you want to see it?” Kili asks; his eyes wide.
Fili shuffles his feet, “Well, yeah, but we’re going to get in trouble.”
Kili shakes his head, “No we won’t. Come on.”
Fili shakes his head, but follows his brothers. Even if he cannot prevent Kili from doing whatever he is about to do he can try to keep him out of trouble.
No one is near the stone as they approach.
Kili’s smile is wild and full of laughter as he tugs at his brother. “Can’t you just see it!” He asks excitedly. “How it would have looked when Gandalf was putting the sword there?”
Fili wants to tell his brother that they need to leave, but Kili’s enthusiasm is contagious. And when Kili starts waving his arms and reciting “incantations” Fili joins in. He jumps up on the rock and lays his hand on the sword.
“Hey! What are you kids doing here? Get out of here!” A soldier’s voice booms from far too close.
Fili startles losing his grip on the sword. He grabs Kili’s hand dragging him away from the camp and back into the forest, to their home, and their waiting mother.
None of them see the sword slowly sinking back into the stone as cold starlight glints on the blue steel. But the wizard with a grey hat, a silver scarf, a long beard, and bushy eyebrows that stands in the shadows cast by the flickering fires sees all.

Is this the right place to send requests?? Anyways I’m so happy that they are open! So I have a Thorin X Reader request. Doesn’t really matter what race. Female reader. So long story short, I have really bad anxiety and your writing really helps me get through it. So in my story, the reader has really bad anxiety and is close to having a panic attack or she is having one. Thorin see’s that there is something wrong and goes to comfort you. This can be during the journey or when they are back in Erebor. Super fluffy with cute kisses? I swear I’m such a simp....
Hello! Yes, this is! Here is your request:
You were overwhelmed, your throat felt like it was closing, barely able to suck in air as your eyes searched the room for an exit. It wasn’t your first time having a panic attack due to your anxiety, but you never got used to the sensations. Trembling limbs with your head feeling like you were picked up by an orc and shaken around like a ragdoll, dizzy and disoriented.
“Gotta get out,” You murmured to yourself, the guilt of not being able to be here for Thorin’s feast consuming your thoughts as you pushed your way through the crowd, the added sensations of feeling people’s clothes against you as you brushed past them further overwhelming you. Your dress felt too tight and constricting, as your chest began to heave.
As Thorin respectfully excused himself from a conversation with his cousin, Dain, Thorin frowned when he realized you were not where he saw you last, by the feast table with Fili and Kili.
“Where’s (Y/n)?” He questioned, Fili and Kili sitting where he left you with them.
“She said she was going to go find you, Uncle?” Fili was confused, not understanding fully what was wrong.
Instead of saying anything, Thorin nodded, putting his ale mug on the table. It was unlike you to just wander off, especially with your anxiety issues. Surrounded by unknown people, he can only wonder what caused you to try and leave.
Spotting you disheveled and hurrying to the exit, Thorin felt his heart dip into his stomach. “Oh no,” He cursed in Khuzdul under his breath as he hurried to the exit as well, a pained expression on his face as he heard you gasping for air.
Carefully taking you by the hand, he guided you toward an empty hallway, where you wasted no time melting into his arms and sobbing.
“Let it out,” He cooed to you gently, rubbing your back as he pressed kisses from the crown of your head to your forehead, enveloping you in his embrace as you trembled.
“I’m here,” Thorin constantly reassured, only pulling away when he felt you begin to calm down, brushing his lips over your skin, helping ground you in the sensation of his touch. Kissing your cheeks, lips, and nose, he finished by pressing his forehead against yours.
“It will all be okay,” He spoke softly as you nodded, sniffling before looking into his eyes.
“I’m sorry,” You began, pulling away slightly. “I didn’t mean to ruin your evening, I tried to get out before this happened, and I---”
Thorin silenced your needless apology with a kiss, his soft lips making you melt into his embrace as he held you close by the small of your waist.
“Please, my hôfukel (joy of all joys), do not say such words to me.” He nearly begged, holding you impossibly closer. “You did not ruin anything, your happiness is all that matters to me, not a feast, not a gathering, only you.” Thorin’s tone was soft but serious, he never wanted you to feel like a burden.
Deciding to not argue, you simply nodded and tucked your face into his neck as he rubbed your back up and down, pressing kisses to the side of your temple.
“Let's go to our chambers?” Thorin suggested, knowing you were in no state to want to go back into the dining hall for the feast.
Nodding, you let out a surprised gasp as Thorin lifted you bridal style, walking the two of you to your chambers, causing you to bury your face in his neck once more. Instead of comfort though, this time it was due to embarrassment.
“Have you eaten?” He questioned, concern in his voice as he realized you two hadn’t stayed long enough to eat.
Shaking your head, Thorin nodded, murmuring to a guard in Khuzdul, requesting two plates be delivered to your shared chambers.
“That’s okay, we can eat together in front of the fire, how does that sound?” Thorin questioned, smiling when he could feel you nod happily.
You have overwhelming anxiety, and often have panic attacks because of it, however, you know that with Thorin by your side, you’ll be okay.

Return Her pt. 1
Tumblr media
The Company (and friends) x Reader
Not being from Middle Earth has brought you some amazing moments, but this should’ve been expected.
You knew going into Mirkwood after Gandalf’s warnings was a horrible idea, but for some reason you didn’t think to stay behind.
First everyone went nuts, yourself included (you could barely remember your own name at some points, it was ridiculous). Then there were the spiders, thankfully you got to avoid being webbed up by those disgusting arachnids but you got lost on your way to help.
By some luck you found everyone while they were attempting to leave their confines of the webbing, but then the spiders came back so your luck didn’t feel so good anymore.
You guys kill a bunch, Kili gets separated… oh, and there is also the elves who are speaking in their own tongue.
The blond elf who appeared to be the leader of this merry group of losers was talking about one of the swords you all acquired after everyone was searched (the only thing they found on you was a small weapon and your backpack from home, also a smack to the hand that was frisking you) when he noticed you.
The male elf mouthing off to Thorin stops his little liar thief speech abruptly though when his eyes fall on you and your strange clothes and weird colorful backpack held by the elf who searched you.
“You. Come here.“
Uh oh.
Simply staring at him dumbly for a few moments, you turn your head from side to side and then point at yourself. “M-Me?”
He nods his head once, annoyance and a trace of amusement showing on his face. You twiddle your thumbs together and shrug your shoulders, taking a step forward only for a large hand to pull you back, “What do you want with her, pointy eared freak!” Hisses Dwalin next to you
The elf says nothing and continues to stare you down.
Everyone is looking between the two of you at this point, and you begin to feel that all to familiar mixture of anxiousness and awkwardness creeping up on you. “Um… I’d rather not…”
He still stares, as if he’s looking into your very soul. “I will not repeat myself.” Now he just looks annoyed.
You huff indignantly and shake Dwalin’s hand off your shoulder, “Fine! Whatever.”
You shuffle over awkwardly, ignoring the protesting of some of the others as you go to stand next to Thorin and in front of him.
His intense blue eyes drill holes into you as he sizes you up, “An odd human girl with 13 dwarves. Clothes I’ve never seen before and a bag that is otherworldly. Interesting.” You do your best to hold his gaze, keeping your face as blank as possible.
“That isn’t any of your concern.” Thorin states next to you, but the elf still doesn’t turn his leer from you.
So what do you do?
What you do best.
“Is that a dagger in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?” Your expression doesn’t change as you say this, face remaining neutral as he falters.
Ding ding, Y/N 1, this guy 0.
“Excuse me?” He looks to be shocked by what you say, but you only shrug your shoulders as some of the others behind you laugh.
But your witty victory is short lived because now everyone is being hauled off to some elf kingdom where you’re sure Santa must live.
When you go to rejoin the others though, the blond elf puts a hand on your shoulder and states in a demanding tone, “You stay with me.”
Thorin turns quickly upon hearing that, “Leave her be, elf! She is one of us, and she will remain by our sides.” Some of the others shout their agreement.
The elf doesn’t listen.
And thats how you end up trailing behind the tall elf right in front of you while some of the others (Thorin, Fili, Dwalin, some others) look back to make sure you’re still there from time to time.
It warms your little ole heart! If only you weren’t all being led to imprisonment that is.
When the elf palace (you aren’t quite sure what else to call it) comes into view, it takes your breath away. Yeah, these guys are kinda assholes, but the architecture is astounding!
You couldn’t keep the awe from showing on your face, and when the elf glances back at you he chuckles. “Never seen an elvish structure before?”
You saw Rivendell which was also lovely, but they’re both beautiful in their own ways you suppose.
Yeah this guy is the enemy, but you just can’t keep yourself from mumbling how stunning it all is. He laughs again, seemingly a bit more friendly towards you than your dwarven companions, and continued on his way.
Upon entering the structure, you find that the outside is not nearly as awe-inspiring as the inside though.
The twisting trees and twinkling lights inside mesmerize you. It’s so grand, you almost forget that these elves are basically abducting you from your company by keeping you separated so far from them.
Your eyes fall upon the red-headed elf who helped out Kili, and your mouth runs before you can stop it. “Woah, shes freaking gorgeous."
At your sudden speech the blond male elf guy looks down at you with confusion, his eyebrows knitted together. "What?"
"Er, your friend over there is really pretty.” You restate, looking away as a flush darkens your face.
He doesn’t get a chance to say anything else before said she-eld falls into step with you and the blond.
She says something in that Elvish language of theirs and looks down at you, and once again you speak before thinking.
“Excuse me, do you have a map? Because I’m afraid I’ve gotten lost in your eyes.” It’s cheesy where you’re from, but here you’re a damn poetic genius.
Her face tints red at your words and she looks up at the blond guy briefly before looking at you again, “I-I’m sorry?"
"Oh, forgive me that was so forward. I just can’t help myself around someone so lovely.” Yeah, you’re laying it on thick, and it seems to be working in your favor pretty well cause she’s blushing and- oh, is that flattery you see?
“I don’t think I’ve ever been addressed in such a way…” She states breathlessly, looking at Mr. Blond again.
“How is that possible? My dear you have got to be the most beautiful-"
"Y/N!” Thorin states sharply, looking at you completely baffled (and he’s not the only one).
A pout comes to your face at the one word scolding, but you get the hint. “Man… Freaking Thorin…"
You look straight ahead and ignore the glares and confusion from your friends, crossing your arms over your chest as you continue to walk along silently.
"What a cute little thing.” She comments after a moment of observing your sulky form, reaching down to ruffle your hair. And, embarrassingly enough, you find yourself leaning into her touch slightly.
Hell yeah, this bitch is in. Maybe too much…
Yeah she actually is drop dead gorgeous, but you’ve gotta get these fools trust so you can crush them later. It’s essential to your 45 step escape plan.
“Me?” You ask, actually feeling a bit nervous to be getting as good as you gave. “C-Cute?"
There’s no time to answer verbally, because suddenly they split the group into Thorin, and everyone else, but you can see from their faces that it was meant to be taken seriously. You remain standing with the elves, a bit shy and confused as to why you haven’t been led to the others yet.
Some of them give you looks of concern, but you only flash bright smiles each time you make eye contact with someone. You can tell a few of them are annoyed with your lack of fear for the situation, but you hold onto the hope that Thorin will use his brain.
You break away from the elves and begin to follow after where the majority of the group is headed, but a firm hand landing on your shoulder stops you in place.
Glancing up at the blond elf, he only shakes his head, "You will go with him”, he nods his head over to Thorin.
The confusion shows clearly on your face, but you listen regardless and change your course as you join the leader of the group.
When you step up beside him, he looks at you with deep set confusion, “Why are you not with the others?"
All you do is shrug in response.
And then the two of you are being brought before the king.
At least that’s what the blond elf said because all you see is a woman on a chair-
Oh, wait. No, no, that is the King.
Turns out, you’re quite the jokester because you make yourself laugh with this line of thinking which earns you a sharp look from Thorin and two pairs of confused elf eyes on you.
You clamp your mouth shut and shrug your shoulders again, and then you and Thorin are being left with the elf king.
When he gets up from his chair you’re shocked by how tall he is. Even the other elf who was bossing you around doesn’t reach the height that he does.
When he begins to talk to Thorin about things you care little for, your gaze wanders away to view the lovely scene before you. The structure of this place is simply amazing. There is nothing like this from your home, all you had were huge neighborhoods, strip malls, and google images that provided you with things not even half as pretty as this.
While you gaze around someone clears their throat which effectively breaks you out of your little trance.
You turn your attention back towards Thorin and the large (and very pretty) elf quee-king.
Much to your dismay they’re both staring at you expectantly.
You blink your eyes a few times and stare dumbly as you rack your brain for any clue as to what just occurred, but you only draw a blank. "Um… ‘sup?” Thats all you could come up with? Really?
You mentally berate yourself for not paying attention, but it only seems to amuse the blond guy. “Interesting. You are not from here, are you?” He asks curiously. Thorin’s expression is sharp, and your eyes lock on him for a moment because you don’t know how much to reveal.
He shakes his head.
“Well obviously not. I’m a human. Have you not seen my ears? Or my height? Or anything?” Your sarcasm earns a snort of amusement from Thorin, but it seems that the king only found your sarcasm funny as well.
“You know what I mean. And the look you two shared only answers my question for me.”
You release a long and over dramatic sigh, crossing your arms over your chest. “Well.. It’s not your business where I’m from. So stop being lame and let us leave."
He stopped listening though and turned back to Thorin, "Where did you find such a person? Because I can most definitely tell that she is not from Middle Earth.”
Thorin only turns his head away and responds to something else probably stated while you were busy. He starts ranting about abandonment and how he wasn’t helped. He yells something in one of their languages, and then Thranduil is all up in his face.
“Do not talk to me of dragon fire! I know… its wrath and ruin.” The king makes a weird face and you find yourself become uncomfortable as his face warps and reveals horribly scarred skin.
“I have faced… the great serpents of the North.” He then steps back and stops leaning over as his skin quickly returns to normal. “I warned your grandfather of what his greed would summon. But he would not listen. You are just like him.”
Two guards seize him suddenly and you protest loudly, “Hey! Leave him alone!” You only get ignored.
“Stay here if you will… and rot.” They start dragging him down the stairs and you move to follow after, but the booming voice of King Thranduil stops you. “Not you. You stay where you are."
Thorin yells at him in his tongue, then yells out in an outrage, "She comes with me!” He only gets hauled further away as you look between him and the blond elf who is standing at the steps to his throne.
You take a few steps forward towards where Thorin is being dragged off to, but your arm is grabbed and yanked back towards him harshly.
The king under the mountain continues to rage on until he disappears out of your sight, the hand on your arm not releasing you even after he is gone.
You turn a glare up at the king and snatch your arm away, “What do you want? I have nothing to say to you!”
He only smooths his robes back down and steps away. "You and I have much to discuss…“
Thorin regains his composure long before he reaches the dungeon down below, not wanting to alert his company of his obvious distress. Though he does brood more than usual and the constant scowl on his features immediately worries those looking upon him.
"Where’s Y/N?” Is the first thing he hears after he’s shoved into his own cell. He looks over towards the area the question came from and sees Kili standing there with his hands on the bars.
“That pointy eared pixie wouldn’t let her come here with me.”
Someone exclaims their anger loudly in a cell not far from his, but he only continues. “That elvish garbage refused to let her come with me, and when she tried to follow he grabbed her arm as if he had any right-!” He cuts himself off and sits down, hands clenched into fists as he thinks about it.
The others yell out their own anger at that, and then Ori speaks up softly, “What does he want with ‘er? She’s only a human…"
Balin speaks up next, "Does he want to know about where she’s from…? Perhaps that be the reason right there! She speaks oddly and her clothes are suspicious”
Nobody wanted to even think about that. If you refused to give them the answers they wanted, what would they do?
Everyone is undoubtedly sharing the same dark and worrying thoughts.
“Mahal…"
They all understand the feeling.
