I was going to make a post about how Duke is the only Robin Dick chose but then I remembered that Alfred actually chose him first. Then I remembered that Alfred chose Damian, too, by handing him the suit first in Battle for the Cowl. Then I remembered that Alfred also helps convince Bruce to make Tim Robin. So Alfred essentially chooses/endorses every Robin post-Jason, and weirdly has more of a say in the Robin legacy than either Dick or Bruce.

In such a big Fable mood and I need to share an idea that just hit me while I’m play 2 and 3

Sparrow keeping Rose’s diary hidden in their room for years. It’s safer in their chambers than in the library and even if it wasn’t, Rose’s words belong THEM. It’s their most precious treasure. Every time they miss their sister and the weight of ruling crushes them they pull it out. The wear on the pages shows just how often they need it and how dearly they miss their older sister.

Then they pass and suddenly their room belongs to Logan. Filled with the ghosts of memories, he remembers when he was little and would sleep with his parent(s) when he had nightmares. Now it’s his and feels so empty. Then he finds a diary that doesn’t belong to his parent and how precious it was to them and the dream his aunt had when his parent was little and had nothing to their name. Logan promises that he’s going to be as devoted to his sibling as Rose was to hers.

Then Logan’s sibling runs away. The world is on a road to ruin and the only family he has left hates him. He can’t imagine if they found his journals they would keep them, he can’t imagine himself being as precious to them as their aunt was to their mother. But still, he continues on. When the revolution is at his doorstep, he keeps Rose’s diary with him. He can’t risk his parent’s treasure being destroyed in the fighting.

And then it changes hands again, now the HoBW has it. And they can only hope to honour Albion the way their parent honoured their sister.

It's not that I want to argue that ZTD is not a bad game, but I feel like reducing it to just a bad game kinda ruins all conversations about the fact there are some genuinely good bits of writing in it? Like I'd argue the fact that there's those few moments of greatness is honestly what makes it such a complete letdown in the end, but that shouldn't discredit the game entirely

Being Ace is Not a Choice Asexuality ≠ Celibacy! Many Aces TRY to feel attraction despite being unable. This can make them feel broken, wrong, and confused. It can take young Aces many years of suffering before they finally figure out that their sexuality just works differently from others. Being Ace is Not Just Low Libido Aces have a range of libidos. Many have a low libido and abstain from sex, but others have high libidos and enjoy sex for a number of reasons. Libido is your sex drive; the urge to partake in sexual activities. This urge is separate from attraction, which is WHO you feel sexual desire for. Aces are Not Heterosexual Heterosexuality = “attraction to the opposite sex”. Since Aces do not feel attraction to ANY gender or sex, they don’t fall under this definition. This point requires some nuance because many Ace sub-labels (such as Demisexual) CAN experience attraction in a limited or fluctuating capacity. However, the way that these labels experience sexuality still falls outside of what heterosexual society deems as “normal” attraction and can cause compatibility issues in relationships with non-Aces. That being said, some Aces still choose to identify with the Heterosexual label if it resonates with them. You can be both Heterosexual AND Ace, but being Ace is not the same as being Heterosexual! Discrimination/Struggle Happens Many people claim that Aces do not experience any discrimination and thus they don't belong in the queer community. This couldn't be further from the truth. Corrective assault, “it’s just a phase,” getting called mentally/physically ill, “you haven’t met the right person yet” are just a few examples. On top of the blatant discrimination listed above, Aces also deal with other struggles in our very sexual society, particularly when seeking romantic relationships. Aces who are sex-repulsed struggle to keep their partners satisfied in bed. Likewise, non-Ace partners often feel rejected and uncomfortable with the notion that Aces don't find them attractive. This disappointment from their partners can weigh heavily on Aces and make them feel broken/wrong.

Do you know why some converts are named bat Avraham Avinu ve Sarah Imenu instead of just bat Avraham ve Sarah? Cause I kind of like the first one better as it clearly signifies which Avraham and Sarah I am a child of. I also wanted to know if you know of any converts with multiple first names? Cause I like the idea of getting all of my three first names translated to Hebrew/finding Hebrew names similar in meaning or sound to them. But if I do that all I’ll have a pretty long name and I’m scared people might not like it/judge it. I know I should probably talk to a rabbi about it but I’m still somewhat early in my conversion and i feel embarrassed going to him about names already

From what I've found, that (imenu) is used to mean "our mother," though I am obviously not entirely familiar with this yet, honestly.

As for your names, it's probably very early to consider seriously in the sense that as you "mature" in your understanding of judaism, you may find yourself gravitated toward many other names for reasons stemming from a richer understanding of judaism and how you fit with it. I haven't heard of a person choosing multiple names, but honestly, I can imagine that somebody may choose to have more than one, even if it's uncommon. When it comes to your hebrew name, certainly think of where it will be used upon after your official conversion - to be called upon to read torah, marriage if you choose, and children if you choose, just to name a few. This isn't me trying to pressure you one way or another at all - this will be your name, after all. I hope, when the time is right for you, that you find something that suits you and your journey.
