Hanako… what did you do to Nene… Hanakooooo!
Poor Nene-chan… although at least she’s forgotten her scumbag senpai (he’s got a face… it’s always so weird whenever aida gives him a face… wtf)
Still, wth Hanako! Just… why, tho? Why do you even need to alter Nene’s memories here? Is it so she’ll come back? Did you find her love for her shitty senpai pitiful and decided to erase it? ‘Cause the alternate memories aren’t much better, you know!
Well, I guess he did say he’d polish it (her heart/love) so much, Nene wouldn’t even remember ‘the original color’, whatever that means.
Alternatively, I guess Hanako could’ve just… I dunno, kept Nene’s real heart and traded it for someone else’s since Nene wouldn’t remember ‘the original color of her heart/love’ or something like that anyway…
Just regular Hanako stuff, y’know.
(For the first time, I looked at the comments on twitter and the disparity between the JP fans and western fans is pretty funny lol. won’t make a habit of it tho)

Chapter 17
Hanako stares blankly at her phone, specifically at a group message actively being updated.
K:[number 1 priority is figuring out who killed rui. only 1 real lead.]
H:[Um. Aren’t Shinju and I suspects too? We were attacked by Rui too after all.]
S:[I mean, we caaaan question each other if it makes you feel better. Hey Hanako, when we were having tea at your place, did either of us do Rui in?]
H:[thats not funny]
K:[agreed. waste of time. both of you have alibis that can be corroborated by adults. only lead is yasu.]
S:[You think she did it? Feels kinda obvious doesn’t it?]
K:[it is too obvious. no other lead though. might be able to get something out of her.]
H:[I want to talk to her. I’m sure she’s in shock given her friend died, but she might know something.]
K:[take shinju with you hanako. we are just covering our bases here but time isnt on our side. im sending her info now.]
S:[Uh. Do I wanna even know how you got her info?]
K:[probably not. doesnt matter. i have access to records i definitely should not have. this is an emergency.]
H:[I agree that this is important but we will need to talk about this later, Koharu.]
K:[doesnt matter. just get yasus story.]
Hanako scrolled several times through the group message as she made her way away from the apartment. She wasn’t comfortable going to someone’s house that she didn’t know, let alone someone who was regarding herself as an enemy just a short while before. Her mind had gone blank as she traveled through the residential side of town, far from her own home. Shinju’s words had long since become static in her mind.
She was only shaken from her trance as Shinju’s hand came down on her shoulder. “Hey! We’re here, right? This is the place Koharu told us to come to, anyway.” During Hanako’s trance, they had made their way through the lobby of an apartment building, and now stood in front of a plain, unassuming door.
Said door opened without either Shinju or Hanako knocking, and a short girl with short black hair stared the pair down. She was wearing an oversized black T-shirt with a wasp on the front and matching, baggy black sweatpants, a yellow stripe going down the side of her legs. “What do you want, Sasaki?” Yasu’s voice cut just as deep as it did when they fought before.
Hanako had started to speak, tripping over her words before Shinju took over. “We’re with the Newspaper Club. We’re trying to figure out who, uh… well, who killed her. Mind if we ask some questions?”
“Not if you’re with those two piece of shit counselors. They put you up to this, right?” Before Yasu could slam the door, Shinju’s palm caught the front, the sharp slap causing Hanako to jump.
“We’re not on good terms with them either. Look, we just wanna figure out who did this. See, we were trying to clear Rui’s name for that broken window before all this shit got out of hand.”
Yasu’s eyes widened. “…That’s not… But I can’t say I don’t believe you, either…” She stood there for awhile longer, then let the door open completely, standing off to the side. “Come on in, then. We should talk.” Shinju and Hanako entered Yasu’s apartment, the latter looking around with more naked paranoia and edginess than was necessary. “For the love of— I’m not going to attack you. Do I look like I’m in any condition to fight anything right now? Especially since you brought your friend with you this time.”
Hanako sighed, entering completely and joining Shinju in sitting down at a small table near the living room window. “S-So, um… are your parents home?”
“No. Let’s not waste any time, alright? You’ll be wanting my alibi, if I had to guess.”
Shinju once again took control of the conversation and nodded before speaking. “If you’d be so kind, yeah. Where were you the day before she died?”
“I was doing something for Rui. Something I regret, and probably something that inadvertently led to all of this going down the way it did.”
“Care to elaborate?”
“Sh-Shinju!” Hanako’s head turned swiftly to stare wide-eyed at Shinju.
Yasu shook her head. “No, she’s got the right of it. Rui, she… she got really freaked out after you two managed to stand up to her. She said she would need the strength of an army to take you two down, and that’s what she did. You two know what kind of person Rui is, right?”
“She wants to be the best, no matter the cost. Being on top, it’s her all consuming thought. It doesn’t matter who she has to trample on to get to the top. Well, that’s just how she is. And if she can’t get her way, she’ll look for someone weak to take it out on. I’ve just never seen her go to lengths like this before.”
“I know you lot won’t believe me, but I can tell you she wasn’t always like this. It was my third year of middle school, and I was touring the high school. I had options, you see. My folks travel a lot, so I could’ve gone to school anywhere. While I was touring, Head Counselor Nagano left me alone around the track. God knows what was going through her head. Well, a couple of third years started giving me a hard time.”
“Rui didn’t like that. She was already known as a threat at that point, so when she stepped in, they started throwing around accusations about an old friend of hers. But Rui didn’t get angry, she just called their bluff. Asked those girls if they wanted to know if the rumors of what she did to Toi Kanashimi were true or not, and they bailed. Cowards…”
“That was how we met. I didn’t know what she was really like. All I knew was that this second year stood up for me. When my parents settled on enrolling me in this school, I tried to stay close to her. She didn’t seem to mind. I asked her about it once. She told me that she felt like I ‘got it’. How unfair this world was, how people get trampled on for no reason. She didn’t wanna see people going through it that didn’t deserve it.”
“I found out before long that she wasn’t really that much better, just more self-righteous about it. But I couldn’t get away, you see. Not out of fear, nothing like that. But I wanted to be on the other side of it for once. I turned a blind eye to Rui blinding another girl. Convinced myself that she deserved it. Oh, don’t look at me like that, Sasaki.”
Hanako jumped again, unaware that she was casting a judgmental gaze Yasu’s way. “…You’re right. Please, continue.”
Yasu sighed. “Let’s skip ahead a bit. Rui comes up to me one day, telling me about you, Sasaki. That you’re some stuck up rich kid who messed up her jacket, and didn’t wanna pay for it. Part of me knew it wasn’t like how she described, but I couldn’t stand the idea of someone, especially one of us,” she added, pulling out her Soul Gem and shaking it gently, “trying to throw weight around.”
“So uh… sorry and all that, I guess. But after that, she decided to take you out herself. That didn’t go so well. After I pulled her out of the fight, she decided to take that army thing quite literally.”
Pulling out a pen and some paper from a nearby drawer, she writes down several names. “She forced some girls to make contracts, using their wishes to make her stronger or something. And I helped.”
Hanako stood up, quivering a bit, the air in the room going still. “How… how could you do something like—”
“Peer pressure and loyalty are a hell of a drug, Sasaki. If you want me to face some kind of reckoning for it, find a Magical Girl court and I’ll gladly stand trial. Until then, maybe ask these girls their story? My alibi is that I was overseeing their contracts with Kyubey and helping them with the basics of fighting. So they could protect Rui, you see.”
“I wanted to stop her. I know you won’t believe me, but I was an inch away from confronting her. This wasn’t right, none of it was. But I stood by, and now… this is the result.”
It was Hanako’s hand that came down on the table, making Shinju jump this time. “K… Kyubey would never do anything like that! Granting wishes that would just… benefit someone else, under pressure like that…”
Yasu merely scoffed. “You have a -lot- to learn, Sasaki, if you think that sunshine and rainbows yarn Kyubey spun meant a damn thing. Now go on. Talk to those girls, get their story. …And let me grieve in peace, okay?”
* * *
K:[that was a lot. ok. gonna sound dangerous but we need to split up. hanako can track down akari and chiemi. *Koharu has attached a file! shinju can go question niko. *Koharu has attached a file! i will find mirai and miho. any danger and we meet up right away. got it? send a blank message and that will mean emergency.]
H:[Akari and Chiemi? They’re always together aren’t they?]
K:[probably. safe bet. akari has notes of being too quiet in class. be on guard chiemi might be a guard dog.]
S:[Heh. Now that image is stuck in my head. Thanks! Niko should be easy enough to find. I’m on it!]
Shinju gave Hanako an encouraging pat on the shoulder before starting off. “It’ll be fine, Hanako. We’ll meet up soon, ‘kay?” Before Hanako could reply, Shinju was out of sight.
Hanako herself was barely aware of leaving Yasu’s home and returning to the street in front of the building. She stared down at her phone again.
K:[be careful both of you. newborn magical girls seem volatile. no offense.]
H:[Understood. Be safe yourself, Koharu. You’re meeting two of them alone, and you’re not even a Magical Girl.]
K:[doesnt matter. ill be fine. got a way out if things get rough.]
Hanako didn’t get a reply when she asked what Koharu meant, so she took it as a sign to get on with her own investigation.
S:[so I think I found the place but are you sure??? this girl’s well off enough to go to private school if she lives here!]
K:[i confirmed the address myself when i looked through nikos records. this is the place.]
“Heh, if ya say so, Koharu.” Shinju pocketed her phone, smiling for a moment at the image on her lock screen, then entered the building before her.
The apartment building eclipsed even Hanako’s apartment, both in size and in décor. Red carpet lined the way from the entrance towards the front desk. No one was sitting there, so Shinju made her way straight to the elevator, and pressing the button marked “13”. She had to hand it to Koharu. Her methods were sketchy at best, but she produced results. Niko Segawa’s address was about as clear and detailed as it could have been.
As the door opened, Shinju met the stare of a girl nearly exactly her height, short and messy blonde hair loosely hung behind her, with bangs covering her caramel brown eyes. At least, until she hastily brushed them aside. “Y-You’re—!”
Shinju held up a hand in a casual greeting, showing a warm smile. “Shinju Hayama, Newspaper Club. Doin’ some off-the-record work trying to figure out this, uh… dirty business with Tomato— er, Rui Tomatsu. Got a sec?”
A sigh of both relief and exasperation followed, the girl turning her head away. “I thought you were gonna tell me you’re questioning me on behalf of the defense force or something. God knows the cops have been in and out all goddamn week.” She turned to face Shinju again, holding a hand out. “Niko Segawa, but you knew that already. C’mon, my place is just down the hall.”
Shinju shook her hand, then began walking right behind Niko as she turned to make her way back towards her apartment. “Were you going somewhere, Niko?”
Niko sighed as they reached the door to Niko’s apartment. “I wasn’t trying to run away or anything. I just wanted some air. May as well put that off though. What’re you here for?”
The pair walked through a large, lavish apartment, ivory columns extending to a vaulted ceiling. This was definitely more luxurious than Hanako’s place, that was for sure. Niko led Shinju through the main room, towards a balcony overlooking a vast majority of Mitakihara City. Shinju leaned against the railing. “Woooow, what a view! Ah, I just wanted your alibi for the night Rui died, nothing major.”
“Didn’t I already give you all that?”
“I’m not the cops, Niko. I’m just a reporter for a school paper.”
Another sigh left Niko’s lips as she turned to face the glass door, leaning on the railing beside Shinju. “Right. Well, I got a creepy set of calls and messages from Rui. She said she was on her way, said she had dirt on me if I didn’t ‘make a wish’ for her, whatever that meant. She never showed up. Next thing I know, I see her dead body on the news.”
“Wait, wait wait wait. You didn’t make a wish?”
“What does that even mean?! Don’t tell me you’re in on whatever bullshit Rui was up to, too!”
“If you didn’t make a wish, then…!” Shinju made for the door, only to stop as she felt Niko’s hand on her shoulder.
“What the fuck are you talking about?! What does any of this mean?! A-And why is this happening to me?! First, Rui tells me she has dirt on me, which is terrifying enough, given how important my dad is, then she dies, now this?! It’s too much! So please, just tell me what’s going on!”
Shinju only gave a sidelong glance, awkwardness pouring through her expression. “Erm. Don’t you have any friends you can confide in?”
“You haven’t heard? Those other girls talk behind my back all the time at school, spreading rumors… You must not be paying attention if you really don’t know who I am!”
“I, uh, I really don’t. First year, remember? Well… uh… hm.” Thinking for a moment, Shinju then pulls out her phone. “Here. If ya need to vent, I’ll be around later tonight. But I really do gotta go. If you’re not the killer and all, I gotta track down the real perpetrator, y’know?”
Niko seemed to think about it, then pulled out her own phone, sharing contact information with Shinju as she released her shoulder. “R… Right. I’ll take you up on that. So I’m clear, then?”
“Yep! All clear!” Giving a salute, Shinju returned her phone to her jacket pocket, then swiftly slid the door open, making her way out of Niko’s apartment before she could say anything else. Once clear of the building, she sighed and pulled her phone out again.
S:[Sooooo Niko’s clear. She’s not even a magical girl. Says Tomato was on her way to force her to make a wish, but never showed up.]
K:[that gives us a clearer timeframe. rui was killed before she could get to niko. hanako, any word from the others?]
H:[I’m en route now. My senses are overloaded though. They’ve both contracted all right.]
S:[I got the address here. Need some backup?]
H:[*Hanako is typing...]
K:[shes been typing for awhile now. shinju go check on her ok?]
“So tell me again what happened.” Koharu locked her phone and held it down, but kept it in her hand. “You two told me you’re both each others’ alibi?” She was staring between two nervous, anxious looking girls. One had light red hair, resting disheveled between her shoulder blades. The other, half a head shorter, wore short brown hair, neater than her companion yet still showing signs of unease and a lack of sleep.
The red haired girl spoke first. “You hard of hearing or something, Shirahara? I told you, I was here with Mirai the whole night, and we slept overnight here.” She motioned around to the walls of the warehouse they were standing in, the building abandoned and in disrepair. “She’ll tell you the same thing.”
“Mm… just like Miho said.” The other girl, Mirai, spoke in a much more timid, quiet voice, not making eye contact with Koharu as she sat down, hugging her knees. “Yasu told us about… our new lives and all. After we made our wishes for Tomatsu.”
Koharu folded her arms, still looking back and forth between Miho and Mirai. “So you two learned how to live as Magical Girls, then stayed here together? All night?”
“Whoa whoa whoa! It’s not like that, Shirahara!” Miho’s tone was defensive, and she was practically shouting. “We just… ugh. May as well just say it. We can’t really fight on our own. So we decided to stick together. Alright?”
Mirai sighed, looking down. “Just so. Our powers aren’t really suited for fighting alone. But together… at least, when we’re around someone else, my powers are more effective. It kind of took Tomatsu and Yasu by surprise, to be honest, once they learned what I could”
Her words were cut off by a buzzing phone in Koharu’s hand, and she swiftly turned to leave. “Whoa, you’re leaving already?” Miho’s voice was laced with impatience.
“Got what I need. You two are clear. Narrowed it down, anyway.” Before either could reply, Koharu left the building.
S:[I got the address here. Need some backup?]
H:[*Hanako is typing...]
K:[shes been typing for a long while now. shinju go check on her.]
S:[On it!]
H:[I’m okay. Was a misunderstanding, but Shinju is here now. Don’t worry, okay?]
K:[its one of those two hanako. just got alibis out of mizutani and kawakami. be extra careful.]
Two more girls, this time confronted by Hanako. One with long hair, tall and lanky, and another, short hair and meek, hiding in a corner behind the other. The taller girl spoke first. “We’ve had enough accusations from the goddamn police today, the last thing we need is you nosy, ignorant assholes bringing it up. We don’t know a goddamn thing. What more do you want?”
“…I’m… not with the police, Takahata-san. I’m with—”
The taller girl slammed her fist into the nearby wall, causing both Hanako and the other girl to flinch. “I know damn well who you are, Hanako Sasaki! You’re with the Newspaper Club. Trust me, you lot aren’t the only ones who know how to dig for information.”
“Calm down, Chiemi… she hasn’t accused us of anything yet.” The smaller girl hid her head in her folded arms, curled up in the corner and trembling in obvious fear and a lack of sleep. “Please?”
Shaking her head, the other girl, Chiemi, turned to gaze out the window of the small bedroom she was standing in. “You’re too soft sometimes, Akari. You know that, right?”
“Regardless… I have questions.”
“Do you even know what you’re doing?” Chiemi spat back. “What would you even do with the truth, anyway? Go to the police? Good fucking luck. Publish this in the paper? The school would lock your asses up, and that stupid cat thing would bring hell down on your head. So what are you gonna do, Hanako?”
Hanako didn’t flinch this time, not looking away from Chiemi’s fiery gaze, knowing exactly what answer she was looking for. “…We labored to clear Tomatsu’s name for the incident with our club room. Horrible though she was, this was the one crime which Rui Tomatsu did not commit.”
Akari looked up, a horrified look in her eyes. “Y-You mean…?”
“I will confront Rui Tomatsu’s killer. If there is no justice for Magical Girls in the world of humans…,” Hanako held out her left hand, a rapier appearing in her palm, pointed at the ground, “…then we must make our own. Is that not so, Chiemi Takahata?”
Chiemi’s hand balled into a fist as it dove into her jeans pocket. “You little—”
“Whoa whoa whoa WHOA! Stoooop!” Shinju’s voice echoed down the hallway before she appeared in the doorframe behind Hanako, hands on her knees and panting heavily. “Jeez, Hanako! Chill! Why’s it always gotta be a fight with you, huh?”
The rapier quickly vanished from Hanako’s hand, and she looked down. “…S-Sorry…” She then pulled out her phone, realizing that she hadn’t sent the message she intended to, which had told Koharu that she arrived at Chiemi and Akari’s location. She had been distracted by arguing from within once she got there, and decided to investigate that first.
Shinju quickly pulled out her phone as well, seeing Hanako’s revised message and nodding. “So let’s try this a different way. What did Tomato make you lot wish for?”
Akari stifled a little giggle at the name, which in turn, put a little smile on Shinju’s face. “Well… um… she wanted us to make her stronger. I don’t understand though. She was always so powerful, even when she was just the school’s bully.”
Chiemi’s face sunk, the anger fading quickly. “It must not have been enough. At this point, she must have wanted to become a god or something. Not that it worked. So much for making me wish for her to be impervious to harm, given the state of the body.”
Hanako’s eyes widened, and she recalled her conversation with Yasu at the same time. She recalled hearing about how Rui wanted to be on the top of everything, no matter what. How she spoke of Rui in the present tense, as if she were still alive. Kyubey’s words before Hanako made her contract, in how durable a Magical Girl really was, and finally, Chiemi’s wish. Before she could utter a word, she dashed out of the bedroom, down the hall and with the slam of the front door, Hanako was out of the house completely, only a large gust of wind to indicate which direction she was going.
“What the hell?!” Shinju quickly retrieved her phone.
S:[hanako! wtf why did you take off like that!!!]
K:[whats going on]
S:[We got chiemis wish but then hanako looked like she saw a ghost and flew off!]
K:[what was her wish exactly?]
S:[she said she was forced to wish rui impervious to harm or something like that.]
K:[and this revelation caused hanako to run?]
S:[yeah! hanako dang it answer the phone!]
K:[its as i thought then. akari fueki killed rui tomatsu]
S:[how do you know that???]
K:[simple. mirais description of her powers didnt add up. once she told me she fell asleep after miho it became obvious to me. ask akari again about her whereabouts last night. tell her that we know mirai can teleport over long distances.]
“Well?” Shinju, now completely pale, cast a hard gaze towards the corner where Akari sat. “Where were you last night, again? Somewhere far from here, I bet?”
Chiemi reached into her pocket again. “Be careful what you say, Hayama—”
“Was it somewhere only someone who could teleport get you back and forth from? Like, say, the school’s track field?”
Both Chiemi and Akari froze, the latter also going pale. She said nothing, and it took a minute before Chiemi could find the words herself. “…It wasn’t long after Yasu left us here. Mirai showed up, talking about knowing where Rui would be, and that we didn’t have much time before she reunited with Yasu. They were on their way to get Niko to make her wish, and then Rui would be invincible. We… we had to stop her.”
“When we got there, Rui didn’t notice us at all. She wasn’t even playing dumb like she likes to do when she’s stalking someone to knock down. I got a clean hit on her, and it knocked her off balance. Mirai dove for her legs to knock her down, but… I didn’t know Akari had that knife on her.”
Once again, Akari went stiff and silent, burying her head in her arms. Chiemi glanced down at her before resuming her story. “I’ve never seen anything like it. But by the time it was over, we all kinda just… came back to our senses, and we noticed Rui was completely torn up. Mirai took us here, and that was the end of it. Hayama, you can’t even think about going to the police—”
“I don’t care about that! Look, you wished for her to be immune to damage or whatever, right? Well, what if that wish actually -worked-?” Chiemi’s eyes widened in a terrifying realization. “We have to go after Hanako. -Now-.”
* * *
Hanako had practically flown on the wind towards the school. Luckily, the police tape was all that remained of the crime scene. Investigators had inevitably returned to their offices to analyze evidence and draw conclusions. Unfortunately for Hanako, police tape was all that remained of the crime scene.
Making her way shakily to the track, the chalk outline was all that remained of the original scene. Standing in the middle of the track, Rui Tomatsu slowly turned to cast a sidelong glance Hanako’s way. A sick smile lit her face, with large patches of dried blood matting her hair and peeling in flakes on her cheek. “Well. You sure saved me some time, Sasaki.”

„Thank you mitsuba..i should’ve told you sooner…“
„Yes you indeed should have…but it’s alright i forgive my little idiot“
You laughed a bit at that
„You’re the idiot♥️“
This boy babies you tsundere or not

*raises hands innocently* „not at all lets just write 24 ☺️🥲“
„Thats what i thought“ you scoffed while blushing
After walking you to your house he told you he will pick you up at 7 tomorrow
Oh how wrong he was
He forgot about his sister 🤦
He sended you a messege that you should walk to school alone and that he will be there in 20 minutes
Gosh if only he knew what in those 20 minutes happened he would’ve hurried more or told you to stay at home
After he came to school all exhausted from all the running
He saw you! But you looked different
Messy hair, dirty uniform? Oh no did you fall? :(
„Oh darling be more careful while walking next time, did you hurt yourself?“
„You think im clumsy or something?!!…“
„Im sorry! Heh its just it looks like you fell and that’s why-„
„I DIDNT FALL YOU IDIOT…and keep you crazy fans away from me“
„What was the last part?“
„NOTHING“ you yelled and ran away
Ofc he actually heard the last part…so who’s ass does he need to beat up?
„Minamoto senpai!!!“
Yashiro came up to teru
„Oh hello yashiro…sorry i cant talk right now i need to take care of something“
„I-uh ofc it’s just its about S/O senpai and-„
„Im listening“
„0///0 uh so i was wondering if you maybe could help S/O senpai with those girls“
She pointed at some two girls
„They haven’t left S/O senpai alone for a while and they always make fun of her…“
So those are the pigs that did that?
„I see…thank you for telling me yashiro i will take care of it“
„You’re welcome!!!!!!!!!! ^\\\\\\^“
Phew he is glad that he didn’t had to search around for the answer
Now its time to take out the trash…
„Hello you two“
He greeted them with a calm yet chilling voice
„Oh hello minamoto senpai!! Is there something you need????“
„Yeah could you two lovely ladies follow me to the cherry blossom tree?“
„OFCOFC!!!“
The two girls were fighting on who minamoto would confess though what they didn’t expect is for it to end up ⚰️
After killing them and burning the corpses
He went back to you <3
„Where were you idiot?im waiting here with your bento for like a half hour!!“
„Sorry dear akane needed my help with something~“
*squishhhhh*
„STOP PULLING MY CHEEKS“
„Nahh they are too soft to stop~“
„Stupid…stupid karma akaBAKA“
„Cute :>“
He wish he could squish you cheeks longer but the bell rand and you had to go to your class
Honestly he would just go to your class rather than staying in his but it helps to relieve stress by fighting koro sensei every time he thinks of people that were too close to you.
He still sneaked into your class to check on you but stupid asano snitched so he had to leave
Its litterly hard to not catch you two not together on break
But today seemed to be different because karma did not come to lunch
And some people took that as an advantage….
They threw all your notebooks on the ground
Pushed and/or kicked you around
You were just hoping karma would show up soon
But noone came…
So after they had their fun with you you decided to sit on the bench cleaning with some wet tissues you had your bruises
After karma came to the rooftop just to see you all crueld up in a corner
His First Instinkt was to rush over to you
And that’s what he did
„S/o what the hell happened?? Who did it?!?? Who should i beat up!!???? And don’t lie to m-“
„I won’t… its (bully name)“
He was a bit suprised by that but happy with the answer
„I was hoping you would come dumbass…where were you?“ you said like you’re done with everything
Well he won’t just say „oh i was beating up some people that talked to you lately“
So he lied
„I had to rewrite a test thats all,im sorry that i wasn’t there for you“
So he started to help you clean up your bruises and guided you home
Now for the real deal
God the way he killed him is so disgusting because of how much blood there was
He had no mercy on that person
Noone gets away with hurting his beloved without a punishment
Now he isn’t one to tease his darling
But he’d be also clueless on why you act that way
„Why did i fall in such a weird person?“ he said with a blank face
*smack* <3
„YOU CANT JUST CALL SOMEONE WEIRD FOR NOTHING YOURE NOT BETTER YOU HAIR HAD TENTACLES“
„True“ he said without even fighting back
„Idiot you don’t just agree with people that easily…“
„Okay You’re wrong for calling me weird“
*smack* 😬
„YOU ARE GETTING ON MY NERVES ITONAAAAA“
You decided to to go home he wanted to come with you but there is something koro sensei needed from him so before he went he checked to see if your phone is turned on ect.
So after you said your goodbyes you left
Thats when you suddenly stumbled on some of your classmates
„Hey its S/O! I heard they/she/he is dating a class E student“
„What why???? That’s disgusting they/she/he is above them so why would someone date someone like a class E student????!!“
„Dunno they/she/he we’re always weird“
„Okay first of all im NOT weird-„
*kick*
„Shut up...you’re talking too much“
„Hey (name) come let’s teach this traitor a lesson“
God why didn’t you run away when you had the chance you thought
You couldn’t stand up because those brats broke your leg
At lest it feels like its broken
You reached for your phone trying to type itona‘s number with your blurry vision from all the crying
„H-hello? Itona? Please…PLEASE HELP ME IT HURST“
„Whats wrong s/o ?!? What happened?!? What hurts!?! Where are you!?!“
„Just c-come near to my h-house BUT HURRY“
„Don’t hang up I’ll be there in 5- no 2 minutes“
When he saw you he rushed over to you
„tell me s/o love what hurts?“
„My leg…they broke it i think…“
„…they?“
„Yeah some of my classmates broke my leg b-because im dating an air head like you…“
„I see…im sorry that this happened to you.I’ll take the blame“
„YOU BETTER. N-now help me stand up and bring me home“
„Right“
„By the way what are their names if you don’t mind me asking?“ (he would’ve forced you to tell him anyway)
„Hm? Oh its (bullies name) there was also (name) but they didn’t do much harm“
„Ah alright thank you for your honesty“
„Whatever weirdo -_-“
After bringing you home he went on search right away to find them.
And after finding them well
I think it’s obvious that he killed them but not as brutal as karma would
„I won~♥️“
Phew after like 2 days i finnished it that was fun! Hope i left you satisfied please visit again! <3

Heya! Thank you for answering my request! Now, can I get yandere big bro. Not an incest obviously l. teru, kou and tsukasa and hanako with little sis/bro gn s/o?
Now the thing is s/o usually got a mistreat at school due to people jealous of them (kou, teru) on tsukasa & hanako case (a yokai seems to wanting tsukasa & hanako beloved dead)
However s/o seems to not mind it at all. Btw, s/o is student at the school. And seems to be reincarnated after they die, and seems to believed hanako & tsukasa after they said they were s/o ghost brother and s/o reincarnated.
Now what would be the scenario when they find s/o is sitting on the floor. Wet around their hair and their clothes seems to be been damaged. When they Ask what happen s/o said.
"oh, big brother, I'm sorry...i'm really is...today is your birthday...but..." S/o keep cry and then said this while sobbing so hard "today, there's a girl who want me to introduce her to you. But I want to give you the gift and reject her, the girl obviously didn't take it well and...she make her group do this" "i-i...keep...trying to saving money to buy you this caused i want it to be secret...but-i..guess..there's nothing to give to you" while showing a blue (blue sky) (blue light) kou.
Tsukasa & Hanako Case
"big brother...since this is your both birthday I thought it would be better to get you both a gift. But there's a girl who hate me. I didn't even knew why?" And then s/o just said while sobbing "I..know big brother hanako love donut, and and I'm sure big brother tsukasa loves it too...so I baked a homemade donut, but that girl destroy it...she...she said my cook is the worst and people who eat it will puked and not even a ghost want it" "also she steal the necklace that I buy for you two since she say I did not deserved that"
Green (hanako) red (tsukasa)
Headcannon and oneshot again please!
The Minamoto brothers and the Yugi twins with a bullied younger sibling❣︎
Warings: Hinting to murder?, bullying, abuse, slight cursing
A/n: Hey! Of course of course, I try to answer requests to the best of my ability!
I did this with the siblings combined so hope you don’t mind shshjsh
Heehee hope you enjoy, my love~
Teru was your older brother and he made that known to the school
You loved the fact that you were known as Teru’s younger sibling
You loved your brother
But you knew you would be used for it
People would fake being your friend just to get close to Teru
Then once they got rejected, they always blamed you
You didn’t mind, you still wanted to be Teru’s younger sibling
Teru slowly picked up on this
He knew something was up so he told Kou
Those two tried to keep a close eye on you
But while they were there, it look like you had lots of friends
But when they left the bullying begun again
But sooner or later, the other girls true colors will start to show
Teru and Kou are protective brothers
The girls in your class should have known to not get on your brothers bad side
“Teru-nii! Looks like you got a lot of presents!” Kou called out, running to his older brother who was standing at the entrance of the school. Teru chuckled and looked back at his backpack which was full with presents from fangirls.
“Well, I guess I do...” Teru patted his younger brother on the head, making him smile brightly. “Where’s Y/n? Aren’t they supposed to be with you after cleaning the bathroom?”
“They are…” Kou's expression turned into a slightly worried one “but they said they had to go early. They told me something about wanting to get something prepared to give to you for your birthday…”
Teru sighed, he was worried. He already had suspicions that you were getting mistreated in your class but he didn’t know for sure so he never confronted you about it. He has confronted Kou about this and he had the same suspictions as well.
“Well let's go get them!” Teru clapped his hands and made his way towards the building.
“Do you think it's…” Kou didn’t want to finish the sentence.
“Let's hope not.” Teru’s carefree expression lowered at the thought. “Do you know where they went?”
Kou thought for a moment.
“No, but I know they aren’t in the old school building…”
Teru and Kou walked around the school for a while, looking for you in no avail. Kou pointed out little droplets of water that slowly got bigger reaching to the school's lockers. The boys froze when they heard sounds of sobbing. They turned the corner to see you facing your lockers drenched in water. You leaned onto your locker, closing it.
“Y/n..!” Kou called out, making you turn to him. “What happened?!”
“Who the hell did this to you…?” Teru asked, examining your ripped close and abused appearance. You looked at him and only cried more.
“I’m sorry big brother Teru…”
“Y/n, you don't need to be sorry, this isn’t your fault..!” Teru hugged you “What happened..?”
“I-its your birthday today… but there was this girl who wanted me to introduce you to her... but I said no, she didn’t take it too well and did this…” You sobbed into his shoulder. Teru’s grip on you tightened thinking about how this only happened while he was outside with Kou.
“I-I saved my money… to buy you a nice sky blue necklace… and I even got big brother Kou light blue one as well… b-but she destroyed it and I don’t have anything to g-give you…”
“Y/n that’s so sweet! We are extremely thankful!” Kou tried to lighten the mood a bit, giving you a gracious smile. You could see tears pricking the corner of his eyes. Teru was still angry that his suspicions were true, he was praying they weren’t.
“Who did this?” Teru sternly asked.
“I-it’s fine Teru…” You kneeled to the ground picking up pieces from the necklace she destroyed “She already left… there is nothing I can do now…”
“Y/n… please…” Kou kneeled down next to you and put his hand on yours.
“Guys, what would make me feel better is if we got home… can we please go home?” Your voice was begging. You just wanted to be in a warm blanket watching T.V. with your siblings.
That's all you wanted right now.
“Okay… I’m sorry Y/n, let's go home okay!” Teru gave you his jacket which you happily accepted.
“Even though I couldn’t get the gift, it meant the world to me!”
----
You sighed walking to your classroom. It was early and you were tired. You were happy your brothers didn’t ask you about it for the rest of the night, you didn’t want them to worry. You thought you would get a load from the girls who did this to you yesterday but you were shocked when she bowed in front of you instead.
“Y/n! I am so sorry! Please forgive me for what I did to you yesterday! It was very rude of me and I am very sorry!” She was shaking.
“Oh, uh, it’s alright..! No need to bow, I forgive you…” You put your hands in front of your chest, genuinely confused. Once she stood straight up you saw a big red mark on her cheek. She had tears in her eyes but ran to her desk before you could get a better look at her. You looked to Tsuchigomori who only nodded with an apologetic look on his face.
‘What happened this morning…?’
----
“Teru? You still look down?” Kou faced his brother as they both walked to class.
“Sorry Kou… just a little upset by the person who did this to Y/n…” Teru apologetically smiled.
“Well you slapped her, that taught her a lesson!” Kou encouraged.
“Trust me Kou,” Teru’s smile turned into a frown
“If a teacher wasn’t there, I would have kicked her ass.”
Amane found it unforunate you were caught in the crossfire of him and his brothers conflic causing you too kill yourself as well
Tsukasa thought it was great that his younger sibling was now dead too
Gosh Tsukasa-
But what they didn’t expect was for you to get resurrected
You were able to see supernaturals yourself and you couldn’t age from the day you died but you weren’t a ghost like your brothers
Tsuchigamori helped you establish a somewhat normal school life
It was all good for the most part, you were back in school, Hanako was the leader of the 7 mysteries, and Tsukasa was just crazy happy
The fact you are getting mistreated is mostly Tsukasa’s fault
Like he can make a lot of enemies so when the fish yokai (that he killed) saw how close you and Tsukasa were, of course they wanted to kill you
It was also a perk that you were Hanako’s sibling since they wanted to get back at him as well for stealing their princess Yashiro away from them
You were weak and had a human body, you were perfect
Amane had no idea about this, Tsukasa didn’t know you were being abused but he did know he pissed off those fish AND HE PISSED EM OFF GOOD-
You figured you would be a target for yokai since your older brothers are powerful
Of course, you didn’t mind this
You knew this would happen so it’s alright!
But the thing was, it wasn’t so alright with your older brothers
Hanako watched the cherry blossoms fall from the tree that he sat under. It was November 25, his birthday, and you said you wanted to have a talk with the two boys. Normally you would talk to them separately because you knew how Amane felt towards his twin brother, but today you wanted to talk to them together. Hanako cancelled his normal cleaning duty and waited where you said to meet up.
“Amane!!” He heard a scream from behind him but before he could turn around he felt someone hug him, wrapping their legs around his waist.
“Oh, Tsukasa…” Hanako said softly, personally finding this kind of awkward.
“Where’s Y/n?? It’s been so long since I’ve seen them!” Tsukasa removed his head from Amane’s neck looking around for you.
“Oh, they aren’t here yet, and I remember them saying they saw you two days ago…”
“So long ago!” Tsukasa whined and Amane sighed at his childish behavior. It went silent but thankfully Tsukasa quickly broke it.
“Didn’t Y/n say to meet them here 15 minutes ago??”
“Yeah they did…” Amane started to get worried.
“They're late!” Tsukasa pouted.
“You’re late as well Tsukasa… And we should go look for them.”
“I’ll lead the way! I know where their last class is!” He stood up and started marching, Hanako closely behind him.
They walked around the school for a while, watching students run across the halls to their clubs, laughing and gossiping with one another. Tsukasa continued to march, not losing the bounce in his step. They came closer to the sound of someone crying, sobs getting louder as they approached a classroom. The twins looked at each other before Tsukasa opened the door.
You jumped slightly, removing your head from between your legs to look at who came in. You only began to cry more realizing it was your two brothers.
“Y/n…?” Tsukasa slightly whispered to himself, staying at the door's entrance.
“Y/n! What happened?!” Amane ran to you, fearing you were hurt in any way. He put his arm on your wet shoulder, looking around to see if there were any visible bloody wounds. He looked at your uniform which was damaged and had a few cuts in it. Your hair was also wet like if someone poured water on you. Tsukasa slowly made his way over to you, examining you up and down. You couldn’t make out the expression on his face but you knew anger was there.
“I-I’m sorry…” You said a little above a whisper.
“You’re sorry for what..?” Amane asked, moving the wet hair out of your face to get a better look at your soaked, tear-stained face.
“Big brothers...since this is both your birthdays... I thought it would be better to get you both a gift. But there are these fish yokai who don’t like me..!” You picked up a couple red and green gems from the floor. Hanako’s eyes widened.
“I... know big brother Amane liked donuts and I assume big brother Tsukasa likes them as well… but they took the donuts I made you saying my cooking was t-the worst and you wouldn’t want it..!” You continued “And they took the necklace I bought for you guys saying I don’t deserve it…”
“Were they talking fish..?” Tsukasa's voice was cold, eyes wide with rage. You only nodded your head.
“Amane, will you stay with y/n? I have something I need to do.” Tsukasa turned to Amane. Hanako already knew what he was going to do.
He was going to go after the mermaid and her fish. There was nothing he could say to stop him.
“O-okay… do what you have to do…” Amane nodded and Tsukasa left the room.
“W-wait… where is he going..?” You started to get up but Amane sat you back down.
“Hey, don’t worry Y/n… older brother Tsukasa is going to take care of this okay?” Amane hugged you.
“But I don’t mind the fish… it’s fine-”
“No. It’s not.” Amane’s aura grew darker before his loving brotherly smile appeared again.
“And hopefully by tomorrow, you won’t have to deal with those disgusting fish!”
----
“Y/n! Amane!” Tsukasa called out as he walked down the halls. When he approached the door he opened it revealing you and Amane laughing. You were somewhat dry and you stopped crying.
“Tsukasa!” You got up and gave him a hug.
“What happened to those fish…?” Worryness in your voice.
“Don’t worry about it Y/n! You don’t need to worry about them anymore!” He childishly smiled, bringing ease to you.
“Amane approached you two, smiling. He looked to see Tsukasa’s hand that was behind his back covered in blood. Hanako's smile dropped and he went silent. He quickly regained his composure and turned to you.
“Yeah, Y/n you don’t need to worry about those fish. Your big brothers will kill any other supernatural that dares hurt you!”

Analysis of the Devil Ending: Who Died and Left Aristotle In Charge of Ethics? (Pt 5)
Hello and welcome back to me over-analyzing everything in Cyberpunk. If you haven’t read my other posts, please read those first! (V’s Mikoshi Poem, Johnny’s Mikoshi Poem, The Sun, New Dawn Fades).
This part took me a lot longer to complete. Not because it was particularly long…it was just painful. Jesus Christ. I hated every second of this ending. That shit hurted.
There were a few shards located at Arasaka’s estate that I chose to skip, as I did not find ant that were unique to the location. The three the game seemed to want to draw your attention to were actually not scattered as shards, they were spoken-word. The only shard I was able to find was a portion of The Odyssey. The other two pieces of literature are In Kyoto, which is quoted to V by the guard to takes her to the hospital room, and (what I believe to be) a reference to Plato’s The Allegory of the Cave. This section is going to be super theoretical. Like, more theoretical than the rest. So bare with me please.
Let’s start easy. This is the poem that the guard quotes at V as he leads her out of the operating room:
In Kyoto,
hearing the cuckoo,
I long for Kyoto
(By: Basho, translated by Jane Hirshfield)
Ten words. What could ten words amount to? The saddest goddamn words you’ll ever hear, dammit. This poem is a feeling more than a concept. Ever feel homesick when you haven’t gone anywhere? Lonely when you’re around other people? That’s V. This was supposed to be a victory, supposed to be what they wanted. But now Johnny’s gone, scorned and betrayed, and no one they calls seems to even be able to give V the time of day. This was supposed to be a victory, their way of going back to the way things were, getting their life back, going home. But we can never go back, can’t ever erase our experiences, what we learn, how we grow. As Misty says, we should not fear change in of itself, but who we might change into. This just goes to show what happens when we betray ourselves by rejecting our own growth: all that’s left is bitterness and sorrow.
The next day when V wakes, you can pick up a shard containing a section from Chapter 8 of The Odyssey. Now, I’m not too familiar with the Odyssey. In fact, I hate the Odyssey. So if anyone wants to jump in here and add something more intelligent, I’m all for it. The Odyssey is the tale of Odysseus, who has been trying for ten long years to return to his wife and son after the Trojan war. Odysseus is basically listening to a bard remind him of all his Trojan War trauma, and begins to weep, at which time time people start questioning what’s up with this guy:
Say what thy birth, and what the name you bore,
Imposed by parents in the natal hour?
(For from the natal hour distinctive names,
One common right, the great and lowly claims:)
Say from what city, from what regions toss'd,
And what inhabitants those regions boast?
So shalt thou instant reach the realm assign'd.
In wondrous ships, self-moved, instinct with mind;
No helm secures their course, no pilot guides;
Like man intelligent, they plough the tides,
Conscious of every coast and every bay,
That lies beneath the sun's all-seeing ray;
Though clouds and darkness veil the encumber'd sky,
Fearless through darkness and through clouds they fly;
Though tempests rage, though rolls the swelling main,
The seas may roll, the tempests may rage in vain,
E'en the stern god that o'er the waves presides,
Safe as they pass, and safe repass the tides,
With fury burns; while careless they convey
Promiscuous every guest to every bay,
These ears have heard my royal sire disclouse
A dreadful story, big with future woes;
How Neptune raged, and how, by his command,
Firm rooted in a surge a ship would stand
A monument of wrath; how mound on mound
Should bury these proud towers beneath the ground.
But this the gods may frustrate or fulfill,
As suits the purpose of the Eternal Will.
But say through what waste regions hast thou stray'd
What customs noted, and what coasts survey'd;
Possess'd by wild barbarians fierce in arms,
Or men whose bosom tender pity warms?
Say why the fate o Troy awaked thy cares,
Why heaved thy bosom, and why flowed thy tears?
Reading this made me feel just how tired V must be. All this fighting, all this war, and for what? Much like Odysseus, V has been through hell and back (literally, depending on how you see it). And it never seems to end. V has been fighting for so long, yet there’s always something more; the tests the doctor gives her are endless, and they’re always being asked to do more, over and over again, with no results or end in sight. Odysseus is teetering on despair; nothing he does seems to do will ever be enough, just like V. The world will just take and take and take. It’s exactly what V’s poem asserts in Mikoshi; the world cannot be fixed, and resistance is futile. You can’t change how corporations rule the world, and as a protestor states on the TV in the hospital room, the rich have no boundaries or morals, and we are powerless to stop them from taking whatever they want. They can take not only our souls, but our bodies, devour them in order to prolong their own lives. Johnny would, of course, disagree. Even a slap in the face to The Man is better than submitting to a corpo-leash, even if that is the easier path. And in fact, he may be right, since it seems taking Hanako’s offer is the conformist path, and the only one that leads to Saburo coming back.
But Johnny isn’t there anymore to walk the rebel path at their side. No more guardian angel to whisper when they it most to never stop fighting.
There’s a lot more we could go into here with the Odyssey; comparing Arasaka to the story of Polyphemus and the cave, talking about themes of passion vs. commitment, yadayadayada. I hate the Odyssey so that can be someone else’s problem tbh.
The final piece is what the doctor asks V to read as one of their tests. Now, on surface-level, this is foreshadowing if V will choose to stay in their body, or be turned into an engram. It’s laughing at them, really, both pitying and mocking the fact that they believe they have a choice, since either way they’re once again at the mercy of the rich and powerful:
“And it was a sight to behold, he said, how a soul would choose its life; sometimes pitiable, sometimes laughable at times wonderful and strange. For in most cases, the souls made their choice according to the habits of a former life.”
I couldn’t find where this was from, or if it was a quote from anything. But googling it does bring up Plato’s Allegory of The Cave, which I thinks tracks pretty well. I found a quote from this chapter of Plato’s The Republic, which is strikingly similar in meaning. For the sake of my sanity, lets assume that this quote is referencing this one from Plato:
“And he will count the one happy in his condition and state of being, and he will pity the other; or, if he have a mind to laugh at the soul which comes from below into the light, there will be more reason in this than in the laugh which greets him who returns from above out of the light into the cave.”
If you’re unfamiliar with the allegory of the cave, it’s a philosophical discussion from Plato’s The Republic. It’s about how human perception is limited, and so true knowledge comes from the self via philosophical reasoning. Much like humans imprisoned in a cave with only shadows as their entire world, we cannot imagine the true world outside the cave until we leave to see it for ourselves. Those who are freed from this limited reasoning have a duty to go back and free others, subjecting them to the full experience of awakening; both the pain and the triumph it entails. V starts out with a limited perception of things; a surface-level world, never stopping to see the bigger picture, until Johnny comes along and encourages them to question the status quo. In all other endings, V accepts this enlightenment. They challenge Arasaka, and try to follow Johnny’s legacy and Stick It To the Man. Yet if they accept Hanako’s offer in an attempt to return to “the habits of a former life,” they are rejecting this new understanding, refusing to leave the cave and live in ignorant bliss. This, I believe, is where Johnny’s true feeling of betrayal comes from: not because he’s being shredded, and not because he thinks V doesn’t know any better. V learned and changed just as much as he did, and this growth was something they were able to gift to one another. Johnny is proud of his change, proud to be someone trusted by V, proud at a second chance not to fuck things up. When V gives him control to go with Rogue to Arasaka, he’s ecstatic to prove himself worthy of that trust, to prove that he’s changed. Yet V, the person who aided in that change, is now actively ignoring and rejecting their own growth, and thus is betraying themselves. By not using their enlightenment to actively oppose the status quo and rebel, they are choosing the side of the oppressor by default.
Some of her last words if you choose not to sign the contract are to Goro, “You have no idea how good it feels to be free.” But the truth is, V is not free, and now they will never be free. By walking the path they have, they are choosing willful ignorance, stubbornly clinging to the darkness of the cave because it is easier to convince oneself that they are not a prisoner at all than it is to leave the comfort of one’s chains. Either way, they are caged, even if the bars the rich and powerful build around her are clear instead of solid. Her so-called freedom (and knowledge) is pure illusion — shadows depicted on a cave wall.

Long Awaited
Pairing: Hanako x F!Reader, slight Nene x F!Reader Warnings: Slight spice (nothing NSFW tho) Word Count: 2,170 I wrote this 2-3 months (?) ago, but never finished. I revamped it and finished it to keep you guys entertained while I work on the Teru + Kou x Reader content <3
The sound of the bell signaling the end of your last class sounded, prompting everyone to rush out of the class as quickly as humanly possible, all the while creating a solid wall of human that is virtually impossible to pass through.
“What’s gotten into them?” You muttered, raising an eyebrow at your classmates' antics. The blonde boy besides you paused in his rambling, brows furrowing as he too noticed the flood of human bodies between them and the door.
“Oh no,” Kou groaned, slapping a hand to his face in a gesture that suggests helpless frustration. “What’s wrong?” You asked, amused at Kou’s dramatic display.
“We were late yesterday and Hanako threatened to—” he wiggled his fingers with a menacing face that looked nothing like the amber-eyed apparition, “do things to Yashiro.”
You sweatdropped, giggling at Kou’s panic. “Don’t worry, we can exorcise him together if he tries anything.” Your tone dropped at the end of your sentence, eyes darkening a tad. It was Kou’s turn to sweatdrop.
Seeing that the people by the door had lessened a considerable amount, he grabbed your arm, pulling you out the door at a brisk pace. “Come on, (Name)-san!”
---
The two of you stopped, panting as you reached the entrance of the girl’s bathroom.
“Hanako-kun!” You declared, kicking open the door. “If you touch one hair on Nene-senpai—” The sight that greeted you left you speechless.
Your radish friend knelt with her back towards the mirrors, a hand held to her head with a confused expression on her face. Hanako, on the other hand, sat collapsed across from her, hands clutching at his face.
“Nene-senpai?!” You exclaimed, rushing over to Nene’s side, cupping her cheeks gently. Her amber eyes widened with surprise, a slight flush visible on the apples of her cheeks.
Kou rushed to Hanako’s side, hauling him up by his collar. “Oi, Hanako! What did you do to Senpai?!” Hanako let out an uncharacterized squeak of surprise, ruby eyes widening.
“Wha-What?” Hanako asked, eyes darting around the room. “Hanako-kun? What do you mean, I—” Before she could finish, Nene interrupted quickly, pulling you to her chest in one smooth motion.
“Hanako-kun! Are you okay? When that apparition came, I was so scared…” She sobbed, but ‘Hanako’ caught a smug glint in ‘Nene’s’ eyes.
He sighed internally. Why did I even get myself into this?
A few minutes prior…
“Hey, Yashiro.” Nene looked up from her work to give Hanako a look of distrust. “I know that voice, Hanako-kun. Whatever you’re trying to rope me into, it’s not going to happen.”
Hanako pouted, giving Nene his best look of utter devastation. “You haven’t even heard what I was going to say yet~”
Nene eyed him warily, taking a step back for good measures. Hanako floated a pace closer, amber eyes practically sparkling. “Pleeaase~? Just hear me out.”
The ombre haired girl sighed, lifting a hand to her face. No, Nene. Don’t fall for his tricks— “Fine. I suppose I could listen.” What are you doing? Refuse before he could go on!
“Well…” Hanako trailed off, scratching his cheek sheepishly. “You know about my, uh, fondness for (Name), right?” Nene paused for a second, mind swirling with thoughts.
This is perfect blackmail material! Hanako-kun, you’re going to regret all those times you teased me about my legs.
She hummed smugly, giving the ghost a knowing smirk. “Oh, it was obvious. Except (Name)-chan seems to always reject you~”
Ouch, she hits hard. Hanako winced, chuckling awkwardly. “About that—” Before he could finish, a thud could be heard by the window. A moment after, the window snapped open, and smoke poured into the room.
Hanako’s head snapped up, thoughts of you momentarily put off as he drew his knife and summoned Hakujoudai. “Who’s there?!”
No one replied, but the smoke kept creeping towards them. “Yashiro! Don’t breathe in the smoke,” he started, but trailed off when Nene’s unconscious form slumped onto the floor behind him. He cursed under his breath, kneeling down besides her.
“Yashiro!”
---
Yes. The smoke had caused the two to switch bodies. Which, in turn, translated to the current events to unfold as the real Hanako and fake Nene hugged you closer to her. She even managed to shed a few real tears, hoping you would comfort her the way you usually comforted the real Nene.
“It’s okay,” you murmured, tugging ‘Nene’ forward to give her a hug, to which she responded with another sob. ‘Hanako’ shot a glare at ‘Nene’, which prompted Kou to ask, “Er, Hanako, are you okay?” ‘Hanako’ sighed, annoyed at having to act like the annoying, and on top of that, perverted spirit.
“I’m fine,” he replied flatly. He scowled, debating whether he should bail out on the apparition, until a sudden idea popped up in his mind. It was now ‘Hanako’s’ turn to smirk.
“Hey, Yashiro,” ‘Hanako’ started, strolling towards the two still embracing on the floor. “You’ve been clinging to (Name) for quite a while now~” he made sure to add the little sing-song tone Hanako often used when teasing them.
‘Nene’ gave him a glare to which he responded with a smug smirk. Have a taste of your own medicine, Hanako-kun!
You stood up, ignoring ‘Hanako’s’ comment and giving your friend an encouraging smile. “Just ignore him, Nene-senpai.”
‘Nene’ nodded, still half-glaring at her real body.
Gotta step up your game, Hanako-kun. The real Nene thought, sticking out her tongue at ‘Nene’.
‘Nene’ gave ‘Hanako’ a forced smile and casually pinned you against the wall, effectively trapping (and confusing) you. She twirled a strand of her long, cream colored hair around a finger while her other hands kept yours against the wall.
“Ne, (Name)-chan,” she started, giving you a look that can only be described as sultry. “Don’t you think my lips are a little dry today~?”
You gave her a look of confusion, eyeing the hand trapping your wrists above you. “Um, I guess? They do look a little chapped.”
The amber-eyed girl leaned closer to you, lips dangerously close to your own. “Why don’t you help me moisturize them a bit?” She purred.
‘Hanako’ sidled up beside you, slipping a finger under your chin and bringing it towards him, ruby eyes gazing into yours under half-lidded eyes. “Now, now, Yashiro,” he purred, “Don’t be such a dirty radish~”
Internally, the real Nene cringed at her own words. I can’t believe I just said that about myself. But her determination to outdo Hanako in this contest of… whatever this was overwhelmed her sense of shame and embarrassment.
In the real Hanako’s mind, he was currently cursing Nene, glaring at her the best he could while still maintaining the mood.
Meanwhile, Kou stared at the trio from his position by the door. He stared, not exactly sure what he was looking at. He decided to speak out, seeing the evident confusion and discomfort on your face.
“Uh, Hanako, Senpai. I think (Name)-san needs her space.” Nene, remembering that she was currently supposed to be Hanako, spoke up, waving a hand dismissively and trying her best to make Hanako look bad when they returned to their real bodies. “Butt out, kid. Can’t you see I’m trying to tease my dear little (Name)-chan here?”
‘Nene’ pulled you away from ‘Hanako’, wrapping her arms smugly around your form and resting her chin on your shoulder. “Stay away from (Name)-chan, you pervert!”
The real Nene irked, eye twitching at how hypocritical this was. You’re the real pervert here!
Instead, he pouted, grabbing one of your hands and placing a soft kiss on the back of it. “I’m the pervert? Says the naughty radish with the wandering h-a-n-d-s~”
Sure enough, one of ‘Nene’s’ hands had wandered up right below your chest. Blushing bright red, you struggled out of the amber-eyed girl’s arms, spinning around to face them.
“What is wrong with you today, Senpai?” You asked, arms held protectively over your chest area. ‘Nene’ shrugged, sliding her hands into her skirt pockets. “Whatever do you mean, (Name)-chan?”
You squinted at her cautiously. It was still Nene’s sweet voice and her small frame, yet somehow, she managed to pin you to a wall with seemingly no effort. Processing the information, your heart jumped and your flaming scarlet cheeks darkened a tone.
Arms surrounded you gently and you were pulled into yet another embrace, although this time it was more warm and friendly than flirtatious. Hanako’s voice whispered by your left ear, “I’ll protect you, (Name)-chan.”
As much as Nene had wanted it to sound like she was Hanako, she also genuinely wanted to protect you from getting hurt, so her words had no qualities of playfulness to them.
You gazed back at her as she said those words, eyes glistening and lips slightly agape. “Hanako-kun…”
‘Nene’ gritted her teeth. She wanted to shout at the real Nene, to remind her, you’re supposed to be helping me. But with the starstruck look you had in your eyes, the real Hanako felt a sinking sensation in his stomach. He wanted you to look at him like that, not Yashiro in his body!
‘Nene’ slowly relaxed her jaws, letting her pursed lips melt into a dark smirk.
“If you’re so determined to brand me as the villain…” She started towards the two, honey toned eyes darkening, “Then, I’ll play the role of the bad boy~”
Shoving you onto the bathroom floor, she smirked at your widened eyes and once again pinned your wrists to the floor, successfully straddling you.
“Ne-Nene-senpai—” Holding her finger to your lips, she shushed you. Despite that, you continued to speak, panic evident in your dilated pupils, “What are you doing?!”
‘Nene’ narrowed her eyes, reaching out to swipe her thumb across your bottom lip.
“Shhhh, (Name)-chan,” she murmured, leaning down closer to you, long hair brushing your cheeks. “If you can’t learn to be quiet, then maybe I’ll have to seal your lips for you~”
Closing the distance between the two of you, her lips brushed against yours.
Right before Kou hauled her up by the collar of her uniform. “S-Senpai. I don't know what's wrong with you today, but that’s enough.”
Having been discovered, Hanako tried to play it cool. “Kou-kun?” He used Nene’s large, watery ruby eyes to his advantage, watching as the blonde exorcist’s face turned red as he released the apparition.
Sitting up from the floor, you groaned, wiping a hand over your face. “Wow, Hanako-kun. I knew you were a pervert but I never thought you’d actually take it that far.”
Kou’s eyes widened. “That’s Hanako?” He asked, jabbing a finger at Nene’s form. You nodded, dusting off your skirt as you stood up to stand beside the real Nene, who was currently residing in Hanako’s body.
The blue-eyed boy once again plucked ‘Nene’ up from her position on the floor. “Wait. You’re Hanako?!” ‘Nene’ stuck out her tongue at him, rolling her amber eyes at him mockingly. “You’re stupid to not have noticed earlier, kid.”
Kou froze, looking over at ‘Hanako’ who gave him a sheepish wave. “So… That’s really Senpai?” You once again gave a nod of confirmation, slightly sullen. The real Nene gave you a comforting pat on the back.
“That means… you blackmailed Senpai into helping you harass (Name)-chan!”
Just as the blonde exorcist finished his declaration, a puff of smoke surrounded the two, and moments later, Kou held not Nene, but Hanako by the scruff of his black gakuran.
Before anyone could say anything, Nene clutched at her cheeks with a sudden gasp, eyes shining with panic. “Ah, Hanako-kun!” She cried, sending a deadly glare towards the amber-eyed ghost. “You almost stole my first kiss!”
At her accusation, Kou released Hanako, who dropped to the floor with a wince, also giving the toilet ghost a disapproving glare. “Explain yourself, Hanako.”
Hanako shrugged lightly, floating up to face the three of you. “Weeelllll,” he drawled, edging closer to you.
You shot him an unimpressed look, but didn’t move away as Hanako latched on to your shoulders, hiding behind you like a nervous child. “It’s fine Kou, I don’t really mind what he did.”
Hanako froze, eyes widening. You didn’t mind his obvious attempt to kiss you? Does that mean- Could that mean-? Your stern voice brought him back to his senses. “But you do have to apologize to Nene-senpai for dragging her into this.”
Sulleningly, the black-haired ghost crept out from behind you, pouting a little. “Sorry, Yashiro~” The cream-haired girl sighed, but acknowledged the apology with a nod.
The four of you were quiet for a few seconds after that, content with the comfortable silence.
Until Hanako’s arm curled around you, pulling you closer to him while simultaneously pulling off his hat in front of your face to prevent Kou and Nene from seeing anything.
And finally, his cold, but soft lips caressed yours, in a kiss that had been long awaited by the both of you.

akane aoi + reader | say what ?
| description ! | your current relationship with akane gets a little out of hand (which may or may not be good?) (yes, there’s a question mark).
prev | next
You flip to a page, one to a theory about a mysterious creature who could control the time around the halls of Kamome Gakuen by their own hands and by their own choice. There’s even a sketch of what it could be... and it looked nothing like the boy standing in front of you now. Your finger points to a space, wordlessly wanting him to sign it if your pleading face was anything to go by.
Akane stares at you blankly, then to the picture book in your hands. The expression on his face screams confusion because of your actions but you were insistent.
Being an enthusiast for all sorts of supernaturals and apparitions that had crossed your path (which may or may not have led to various dangerous incidents), you stood your ground as firmly as you possibly could.
Even if you wanted to melt at the sight of this new Akane Aoi.
Fuck it, you probably already melted when he saved you mere minutes ago.
Sucking in a deep breath, you continued to ask another question, briefly ignoring the fact that Akane didn’t bother to sign. Maybe he had no pen?? What kind of apparition has a pen in his pocket?? Wait would they--
“C-Can you help me investigate more s-supernaturals?”
‘OH NO.’ You looked at the ground as if it was the one who was making your cheeks redden to the max. ‘I STUTTERED TOO MUCH DHBFSH--’
“Interesting offer but….” Your head shot up to meet his smile, it didn’t meet his eyes but it made you look like a tomato nonetheless. A shudder goes down your spine at the way he stares right through you. “I don’t think I can handle another second seeing any one of them.”
…?
“W-WHY?? SUPERNATURALS ARE AMAZING CREATURES !!” You cry out, unable to hold back.
“Wha…? What makes you say that?”
There’s a hint of a spark happening between you two, one filled with tension and the start of a very very long argument between the justification of supernaturals.
Not that you intended to speak up and start a fight about it, you had only wanted to bring up a few points. Which he had a rebuttal for every time. Perhaps this is why you liked this smartass, but never did you think that you would be on the opposing side of the debate.
“Aoi-kun, I’m pretty sure not all of them are bad..!”
“You might want to see a certain seventh somewhere--.”
“YOU KNOW THE SEVENTH MYSTERY ???”
Secretly, your foot hurt like actual hell, having been pushed to the ground rather harshly after almost being struck by a truck. But how could you let this chance pass by? You were finally talking to the boy you simped for and you have the chance to meet more supernaturals and apparitions!
Granted, you almost died and you were both arguing about the goodness of supernaturals and apparitions, BUT STILL—!!
“I don’t think he appreciates seeing someone limp into his stall.”
Akane motions over to your foot. The foot that you were trying so desperately to hide but alas, the awkwardness stood out.
“Um… I-I’ll go to the clinic then! After that, you can take me to see Hanako-san…!”
Two steps forward and you were already wobbling. You were determined to get to the clinic without any hesitation if it meant finding out more of these supernaturals that always invaded your mind, if you weren’t already thinking about Akane.
Being the gentleman that he was forced to be by one strict Teru Minamoto, he had, as much as he didn’t want to offer because he was salty, offered you a, “Do you want me to take you to clinic?” which you may have replied with a small nod, the flush on your cheeks rising significantly so.
Significantly so may have been a slight understatement.
Your cheeks—no, your entire face raged with a pink blush once Akane put his hand on yours, telling you to lean on him if your legs hurt too much. The way he held your hand calmly without hesitation made it seem like he experienced this sort of thing before. Or maybe he spent his time eagerly researching this for Aoi’s sake. ‘Okay, yeah, it’s definitely the second one.’ You sink your head low in dismay.
Thankfully, the clinic wasn’t too far off since the incident took place right at the exit of the school. Making quick work into getting to the clinic, also avoiding the people who looked at you two quietly bickering about another something related to your slowly developing debate about supernaturals and all that. Or perhaps they looked at you two and wondered why two simps were spending time with each other. What if they thought you were dating him (finally) and Akane had given up on Aoi--
You scoff, immediately letting the fleeting thought away. Akane raised an eyebrow at your action but you simply looked away, not acknowledging the other thoughts that crowded your mind.
“Can you open the door while—”
“Yeah, I think I can just…”
After a few minutes of trying to open the door leading to the clinic, and failing miserably, your prayers have finally been answered. By a fellow Student Council Member.
“Oh! (L/N)-san!” This girl is… the ‘Secretary’ of the Student Council, if the messy black hair, the dark red ribbon hanging loosely around the back, and the round glasses framing her small face was any indication. “What happened?”
“I tripped and fell on the sidewalk.” You explain, not delving into any of details because even if the guy you just had to like out of everyone else (seriously, why couldn’t you have liked Minamoto-senpai instead? It’d probably be so much easier) had a bunch of hatred for the ones you absolutely adored (and you still didn’t get why he hated all of them instead of merely hating the ones who pushed Aoi), you still didn’t want to cause any trouble for him.
The ‘Secretary’ looks at you two for a bit, a small knowing smirk gracing her lips, which she tried to hide with her hand but failed, and walked away. She also mentioned something about the ‘President’ dropping off some paperwork on his desk. You don’t know why Akane’s expression turned into a disgusted one but you didn’t want to pry on that.
Oh nono, you wanted to pry about something else.
Right after sitting down on the bed after the nurse had told you to do so, you began swinging your legs out of nervousness. And you regretted that a second later because the pain finally settled in. Akane had thrown an ‘are-you-kidding-me?’ look at you and you replied by rolling your eyes into oblivion. Not wanting the silence between you two to thicken (or maybe you should, you were literally on the verge of kicking your crush when he mentioned how annoying your beloved Mokke were), you somehow managed strike up a conversation.
“Say… what happened to that truck a while ago?” Gold star for not stuttering over there, champ.
Akane turns to look at you, lips screwed tight and eyes wide. Had he not noticed it? How his supernatural suit and tie and honestly aesthetically pleasing outfit went away and changed back to his normal uniform? How the truck had crashed into a pole instead of you? Considering the amount of shock graced his features, it’s safe to assume that you were correct. Seriously though, how could he not have noticed?
‘Maybehewasfocusingonyou—SHUT UP’
He’s silent, not willing to admit that he did not, in fact, notice the truck nor his outfit changing. You hear him mumble a few words under his breath, definitely not missing the ‘That bastard might actually kill me this time’ or the ‘If Ao-chan ever finds about this…’ but he stops when the doctor of the school clinic came in.
“So, (L/N)-san, what do we have here this time?” The doctor, Nito-san, asks for the third time this week (or was it the fourth…?). He kind of looked frustrated with you, which you brushed off with an awkward chuckle. You could have sworn you heard Akane stifle a laugh. “Did you fall from the stairs again?”
“Not today, haha…” ‘CNDSJFNDSFOSID’ You fumed, hands clenching into fists. Now you heard Akane actually having to hide his laughter, which resulted in you having to cover your face with your hands.
Oh, why did you have to come in like this Nito-san??? WHY???
As if God Himself heard you, you were blessed when Teru Minamoto poked his head in from outside the room’s door. Funnily enough, he did not have his usual smile and ^^ on his face. He just looked lowkey pissed, which was a first for you and for people inside the clinic.
“Aoi-kun, why don’t we have a chat outside?”
You glanced at Akane in concern, and your choice was right, he should be of concern right now. He looked like a man about to be executed.
“Y-Yeah…”
At this point, you might as well plan his funeral. Yes, Aoi is going to have to give a speech about him or he would haunt the school. ‘Wait isn’t he already haunting the school—’ You thought as Akane was pretty much dragged outside by Teru. ‘Oh, I didn’t get to ask him about Hanako-san!’ You frowned, slapping yourself on the face. Although, you probably shouldn’t be focusing on that as of now, since Nito-san looks... positively furious.
| end notes ! | i’m so sorry for the long wait !! and i’m really sorry if the update wasn’t as good as you’d thought it would be,, not that it was alr good to begin with :’>

Jisei - Sandayu Oda
I finally did it. The one-shot I wanted to do for Oda is complete. This story takes place after “Don’t Fear the Reaper”, and if V goes back to save Takemura. There are 2 different endings, and they are both labeled. Also, words written in italics are just Oda speaking Japanese.
Also, a bit of a spoiler for the secret ending! Especially Takemura’s part in this story’s Bad End!
Summary: A month after the events at Arasaka Tower, Oda manages to track down Takemura in order to ask him for one thing: forgiveness. The result of V’s actions have been eating away at the man, and he feels as though the last person he needs to express his remorse to is his old master.
Trigger Warning: Mentions and actions of suicide, blood, and gore
Word count: 1,732
He failed. After years and years of trying to prove himself better than his master, he failed. Perhaps now he could understand Goro’s pain when Saburo died; that ultimate hopeless and defeated feeling. It made him ill, and as he knocked back another shot of whiskey, he grit his teeth, slamming a fist down on the table. Arasaka was in shambles, Hanako had hidden herself away to grieve, and Sandayu? Well, he couldn’t bring himself to show his face. Twice he had failed, and twice he had beaten himself up over it. V, that despicable merc, had ruined everything. All he was and all he stood for had been reduced to nothing but ruble and regret.
He had thrown himself down to the feet of Miss Arasaka, pleading for her forgiveness. She had granted it, a gentle caress to his cheek with a sorrowful smile. But it didn’t make him feel better. He started out the first week groveling and feeling sorry for himself, contemplating committing seppuku in order regain any sort of honor to his name. But something nagged at him, and what would’ve been his final words were crumpled up and thrown into the trashcan that resided by the old motel’s bedside.
Hanako had been nice enough to finally tell Sandayu of Goro’s fate after the general fall of Arasaka, and after he had gotten over his self-loathing. The only redeeming quality he could find in V. The merc had run through a hail of gunfire to go back and save Goro, and the man had been in hiding ever since. Oh, but that didn’t stop Sandayu from trying to track the man down day in and day out, desperate to reach out to him. Goro had always been there for him, even when he was supposed to be strict and cold during training. He needed the man’s forgiveness as well.
It took almost a month, but he had finally done. Sleepless nights and determination had led him out to the Badlands, heat beating down on him and his hair sticking to his forehead. The motorcycle he had “found” was parked across the street in an old abandoned parking lot, and Sandayu found himself walking towards an old store. Any last traces of Goro had led back to this spot, a lone building that he couldn’t even identify. He could see why it was chosen. Walking up, however, he stops. The old dusty windows show his reflection, a broken and strange man who barely even recognized himself anymore. His dress shirt was wrinkled and open, the black tank top underneath clinging to his body as sweat made the material damp. His once nice slacks were replaced with jeans, torn in a couple places from recent fights he had found himself in when traveling out to get food. He looked horrible and felt more ashamed the more he stared at himself with tired and lifeless eyes. Shaking his head and taking a breath in, he continues into the old store.
Cobwebs and dust clutter the building, along with trash and insects. Sandayu can feel his skin crawl as he travels deeper into the outlet, scanning all he can. Nothing comes back useful and he searches every nook and cranny. Old books, candy wrappers, cans and bottles, some paper bags that once contained food. But as he travels further back, he finally spots it. Large double doors and seem to lead to a second level. Anxiety picks up as he walks forward, pushing one of the doors open and listening intently.
Good End:
The sound of soft footsteps catch his attention as he travels down the old stairs. His heart leaps when he sees Goro at the bottom, standing in front of a counter, his back facing him. He looked in better shape than Sandayu, his own dress shirt still pristine as he picks up a shot glass, knocking back the contents. Gathering his courage, Sandayu stands at the bottom of the stairs, hands in tight fists as he inhales deeply.
“Takemura-sama!” he calls out. Goro jumps, eyes wide as he whips around, pistol at the ready. His stance falters as he eyes at the younger man, who’s bowing deeply before him. “Please, forgive me!”
“Oda…?” Setting down the weapon, Goro straightens himself, even daring to walk a few steps forward as Sandayu picks himself back up.
“I have not only failed Hanako-Sama,” he continues, “but I have failed you as my mentor. Please, forgive me. I was not enough.”
The two stand in silence, Sandayu searching Goro’s face, desperately trying to find out what was going on through the man’s head. Finally, Goro sighs, coming forward to gently grasp his shoulder.
“You should not apologize, Oda-san,” he sighs. He gets ready to fire back, insist that he did, but Goro cut him off. “When Saburo-sama was killed, I was filled with deep regret. To have failed my only duty when I could have prevented it. I think about everything I could have done differently every day.”
Sandayu stands there, listening intently. They hadn’t spoken since their last meeting at the docks, and he had never heard of the man’s anguish until now. How he described everything… it’s exactly how he felt now.
“Sometimes, things happen. And we cannot stop it,” he goes on, leading him over to the counter. An opened bottle of sake sits next to the shot glass, and Goro fills it up, offering it to him. “Saburo-sama was to be killed, and I could not stop it. What happened at Arasaka… you could not stop it, Oda-san. It was, how one would say, “the hand they were dealt”. And we must accept that.”
“Arasaka was everything to me…” He stares down at the contents in the glass, his grip tightening. “And it just-”
“I understand,” He glances up, though Goro’s gaze is focused on the bottle in front of him, staring at it with distant focus. “I have… been reading a lot of jisei as of late, and have found peace in some of them.”
“Takemura-sama,” That’s when he notices it. A small wooden box a few feet away, the top open to reveal an old looking tantō. He feels his blood run cold.
“Just like you, Arasaka was all I had,” he continues, finally bringing himself to look at the younger man. “but you have nothing to apologize to me for, Sandayu. You were the most brilliant outcome of my entire career.”
With one last glance to the tantō, Sandayu slams the glass down and envelopes Goro in a tight embrace. The man catches himself, steadying his balance as he slowly brings his arms up, wrapping them around the younger man. They stay like that for a while, the silence almost deafening.
“What do we do now, Takemura-sama?” Sandayu finally asks, his voice soft as he slowly pulls away. Goro sighs, but gives him a small smile.
“We take time and heal,” he tells him. Turning, he shuts the lid of the box before picking up the shot glass, knocking back the sake. “I believe it would be easier to do it together. Wouldn’t you agree?”
“Yes.”
Bad End:
There’s nothing but the sound of his own footsteps, and for a moment, he’s worried all of his hard work had gone to waste. Maybe Goro wasn’t here? Maybe he had made a mistake somewhere, his exhaustion causing him to be faulty in his search. But as he reaches the bottom of the stairs and starts for the next set, he stops. No.
“Takemura-sama!” Sandayu’s voice is shrill as he cries out his master’s name, nearly falling down the cement steps as he rushes over to the man. Goro was here, alright. And Sandayu was too late. The man was laying on his side in a puddle of his own blood, a few pieces of paper sprawled out around him. He sobs as he kneels beside the man, pulling him up and into his lap, his eyes glazed over and his body limp. He caresses his face, incoherently speaking to the man, pleading for him to come back. The only person he felt he had left in this world was currently laying dead in his lap, his hair having been taken out of its bun and the ends soaked in the crimson water.
“Goro, please!” he cries loudly, shaking the man, slapping his cheek, trying anything to make him come back. “Do not leave me! I need you! You have always been there for me, so why not now?!” He stops for a moment, unable to look away from the older man. His body was still warm. Had he been sooner… “… Why couldn’t I be there for you?”
Taking Goro’s hand in his own, he gives it a tight squeeze, trying to calm himself. He finally looks around at the papers that were scattered across the floor, scanning them. All appeared to be jisei and it made his stomach churn. The bloody tantō lies a few inches away from him, and it just fuels his slowly burning rage. Why couldn’t he had been faster? Was he already dead by the time he parked the motorcycle? Should he have called out for the man?
Instead of getting up and trashing the place like his body screamed to do, he instead leans his head down, pressing his forehead to Goro’s and closing his eyes. He speaks internally, and he speaks fast, stumbling over words as he still heaves shaky breaths. He hopes the man can, somehow, somewhere, hear what he’s saying. How he asks for him to forgive his failures and how he thanks him for all he had taught him. He apologizes for their last meeting, and he tells him how he longed for them to just a day together.
Finally, he gently lowers Goro back to the ground, closing the man’s eyes and admiring him. He finally looked like he was at peace, his muscles relaxed and for once his eyebrows weren’t knitted together. He picks up one of the poems, wondering what was going through Goro’s head in his last moments. None of the poems resembled his handwriting, leaving him to wonder what his jisei would’ve read. Setting the paper down, he looks over to the tantō. All throughout his apprenticeship, he had followed in Goro’s footsteps exactly. And as he stands here now, he wonders: Should I continue to?

Trick and Treat
The benefits of being underground heroes means no one would recognise you. A fact that three certain heroes (plus a sentient quirk) exploit it mercilessly.
Halloween. An event where people of all kinds get to excuse themselves for pranks and indulged themselves with tooth-rotting candy. It’s also a certain event where two gothic-theme heroes are free to cursed their mothers for bringing them to life far too soon or far too late.
“That’s not a reason to cursed my in-laws, Fumi, Shi.” Shoji Mezou huffed before turning two of his appendages to mouths as to pecked his gloomy husbands. Shoji-Tokoyami Fumikage, who draped himself with a dark cloak and held a handmade scythe, fumed pettily alongside with Shoji-Kuroiro Shihai, who decided to wrapped themselves an equally as black bandages.
“Mezou love, I didn’t agree to marry you to hear you stand in defence for our mothers who let us down for the first time in the beginning of our lives.”
“Fumi’s right in a way. If only they could at least put in more effort on giving birth before the sacred event had ended-”
“Or wait a bit more longer-”
“Okay, guys. I kinda didn’t agree to waste my day off on listening to your brooding. So, could we get moving?” Ojiro Tooru wiggled around in her plain-white cloth while exaggerated her frustration, earning some laughs among her husbands.
“Take care and have fun, Ruru,” Mashirao softly spoke as he setting up the makeshift pillow fort around Hitoshi. The Ojiro husbands decided to spend their rare day off to watch horror marathon with the main Shoji patriarch.
The invisible lady just giggled before dragging off the other Shoji husbands for their play dates. Mezou waved them off, even blew the sentient quirk a kiss back, before settling down besides the pillow fort.
“Five thousand yens they come back with more candies than they are allow to have.”
“Six thousand.”
“Bet.”
“Toshi! Mezou!”

“Any gummy packets? All I got is candy corns.” the boy with four arms and dressed as Red Riot grimaced.
“Nope, I only got two packets of strawberry marshmallows and some Miruko-branded carrot candies, Red Riot Junior. What about you, Deku Junior?” the green-skinned girl dressed as Shemage quietly answered before glancing at the bulking boy with scales that dressed as the Symbol of Hope.
He smirked before lifting up his bucket, making the other kids jaw dropped. In there, three huge packets of Bakusquad-branded fruity gummies, five king-sized Fatgum-branded chocolate bars, two swirly red and white lollipops, and a box of bite-sized candy bars themed after Pre-Debut UA Class A.
“Impressive, huh?”
“No jokes, Ken- I mean, Deku Junior! How?!” the Red Riot ‘Junior’ tried to reach out before getting his hand slapped by the now-sneering boy.
“Don’t touch it! Anyways, I just roamed around the neighbourhood that filled with old farts who got too much money to spend. One glance at my mega awesome costume then they throwing me prizes after prizes!” The scaly boy exclaimed proudly as he showed off his goods, “Wish you have this amazing influence than some two-bits characters you two decided to dressed as!”
“You got some nerves insulting the chivalrous hero and the mushroom heroine, kid.” All three kids quickly turned towards the voice down the alley. Seeing that it’s someone who decided that draping a white blanket is a good enough costume, the boy scoffed rudely.
“What, blanket girlie, you think you have the rights to tell me off when you have a lame ass costume?” “Wrong, it’s an awesome costume!” the blanket girlie huffed out her chest proudly, “You just didn’t see what is under these ghost sheets.”
“Ghost sheets?” the green girl snickered, “Yeah, right.”
“Why don’t we check it out, eh?” the four-arms boy grinned at the Deku cosplayer, who smirked back as he reached out to pull the sheets. As he did so, the kids paled. There is... nothing under the sheet. Not even the girl who is supposed to be draped over.
Suddenly, eerie radio screeches can be heard behind the ghost(?). Two little lights are flashing red at where the head are supposed to be located. The lackeys, scared out of their wits, dropped their buckets as they ran away, leaving the leader behind.
“You took a look under my sheet, and now...” the ghost(?) floated even higher, “YOU HAVE BEEN CURSED! MUAHAHAHA!”
“AAAAA!” the scaly brute dashed off immediately after throwing his bucket at the ghost(?). As the boy disappeared down the street, Tooru immediately emptied out the buckets into her Invisible Bag, which is almost filled to the brimmed with her delicious loots. Hearing another group of little trick-or-treaters coming in her way, she immediately set into her position.
~~~~~~~~~~
This is just plain stupid. This horror story telling is too repetitive. The dead girl in the toilet. The spooky piano that plays on its own. The suicide forest. Sure they can scared and spooked Hanako at first but listening to these stories over and over again seems to lose its charm.
Her peers didn’t seem to think so. Sitting in a badly formed circle in the middle of an empty park with an electric candle right in the middle of the said circle. Some third-rated spooky music supposedly to put people in the mood to get scared.
“... and there she sat, drinking the boy’s blood like a drug!”
“You sure this is a true story? Sounds fake.”
“Totes not! Search ‘blood drinking girl’, man!”
Even if it’s a true story, Hanako doubt the legality of the story. If this T.H. girl supposedly love this guy, she should kill those girls instead of the boy. Eh, she shouldn’t question it.
“Sooooo, who’s next?”
“Can I have a turn?”
“Sure!”
A husky voice chuckled, making the horror-numb girl trembled. That was new to her, not one of her peers sound like that. Even her seat partners shivered too.
“Let’s see, anyone ever heard of a certain narcissistic man who killed anyone who said he’s ugly?”
Oh, this is new. Perhaps her peers didn’t disappoint her yet. After affirmation, the rasping voice continued. Due to the light is too dimmed, she was unable to see who’s telling the tale with such voice.
“There was once a man, with a face no one could ever compare to. His visual is second to none. Women praised him, loved him, worshipped him. Men hated him, cursed him, and some even fell for him.”
Hanako lighted up. A total original story! She listened with rapt attention, ignoring how her horny peers groaned and moaned at the suggestively rough voice.
“One unfortunate event is all it took for people to turned away from the man. An arson planned by envious men who couldn’t take it anymore, seeing their supposedly lawful spouses dreamed and loved a man that isn’t them. How envy drove them mad. The damage is dealt. His entire body is burnt to crisps and yet, he lived.”
The music stopped. Before the person in charge of it could fix it, it suddenly played an ominous song that she had never heard before. She didn’t know that the harsh-sounding peer have good taste in music.
“Truly unfortunate it is. The once handsome man lost all his supporters in one whole swoop. His haters jeered and hurling faux-pity at him. He couldn’t take it anymore. Wrapped in his measly black-burnt bandages, he asked each and every single one of the people, ‘Am I handsome? Am I gorgeous?’. People jabbed jokes at him before they get stabbed to death.”
Hanako is curling into her jacket as the air getting chilly. Weird, as inattentive as she was, no one have a quirk related to wind. Now she think about it, not even one of them have a husky voice, even the her male peers are just getting their puberty hit on them.
“One by one, they dropped to their death. Even children and the senile were not spared. The man went mad with his vanity spiralled out. He asked, he cried, he stabbed. Then, he came onto a group of teens who sat around in a circle telling stories after stories. Can I ask?”
The girl suddenly felt dread coursed over her body. She thinks some of her peers piss themselves. Before anyone could react, the electrical candle went off. Hanako quickly reached out to turned it on and, lo and behold, a man wrapped in black-burnt bandages stood in the middle of the circle.
“Am I handsome?” the man who owned said husky voice gleamed at them with flashing black eyes, “Am I... gorgeous?”
Screams could be heard throughout the neighbourhood. When people found the source of said scream, teens would either huddled up or straight up fainted. The only thing missing among them are the candies they collected. Hanako might cried a bit, but whoever that man is, he earned himself a fan.
“Happy Halloween!”
Waving off the kids, Mrs Gokudera beamed at her almost empty candy-bowl. Ever since her grandkids started their high schools, they almost never visit her in this lonely home, which makes this holiday truly joyful. Just as she was about to filled the candy-bowl with her homemade striped candy balls, her doorbell rang. Sighing blissfully, she opened up the door.
Instead of little children, few masked people appeared the other side of the door. Mrs Gokudera usually pleased to see that other people enjoyed the good old trick-or-treating but her quirk, Intentions, alerted her as she saw them with dangerously black aura.
“Heya, old lady. Trick or-”
“Definitely trick, imbeciles.”
Interrupting the one who started to sprouted blades out of their arms, the group of masked people turned towards the other side. Mrs Gokudera couldn’t see who it was as the malicious people blocked her sights but she saw a white aura coming out from that person. Knowing she was in good hands, she immediately slammed her door and dialled the police. As she dare peeked out of the window, she gawked at a hooded figure fighting against people with an obviously fake scythe and a manifested shadow(?) that seems to basked in the chaos.
When the police arrived, the fight is over. The hooded figure and his shadow companion came out unscathed but his prop is broken. Sensing his frustration through a grey aura, Mrs Gokudera beckoned the bird-headed figure, who seems to finished his statement to the police.
“Hello, dearie. You okay?”
“Don’t worry, madam. We are perfectly fine. Although we had to cut short our fun due to this unholy festive spirits that decided to bother you.” the hooded figure solemnly nodded.
“Oh dear. Sorry to cause you trouble.”
The shadow companion seems to beamed at her loudly, “Don’t worry, lady! We are heroes! This is nothing!”
Ah, that explains why the police didn’t bother him for vigilantism. Clearing her thoughts up, she thanked him by giving most of her stashes. It’s really funny seeing how the bird-headed hero humbly accepted while the shadow just cackled in delight as they dumped the wrapped candy balls into their goody bags.
~~~~~~~~~~
“We are back, hubbies!”
“Welcome ba- why are there ten gigantic bags? Did you guys steal them?”
The three trick-or-treaters sheepishly chuckled as they got stared down by the tail hero. Behind Mashirao, Mezou handed a few paper money to Hitoshi, who tried to snickered quietly before got stared down by his disappointed husband too.

Roundabout
The first fic for hananeneweek20 with the prompt doughnuts and first date!
Takes place after Chapter 17 in the manga at the conclusion of The Little Mermaid Arc.
----------------
It was in moments like this where Hanako was left to his thoughts that he’d find envy in watching the living. Short-lived inclinations towards feelings steadily fading into the back of his mind, compiled with others that couldn’t be acted upon, and were of no use in worrying over. Orange and red sunlight reflected off the mosaic glass polished to a shine by his new human assistant, bathing the freshly mopped floor and stalls in a soft glow. He walked with his hands behind his back, catching glimpses of his appearance in the mirrors, the twisting and shifting image making his stomach turn as he quickly averted his gaze.
The gentle chime of the afternoon bell, students flooding the courtyard and the corridors of the new building, talking amongst themselves as they prepared to leave. Soon the school would be filled with the sounds of the supernatural as they gossiped about the living or bickered among themselves. He’d be there as always, staring out the window at the moonlit sky and counting the thousands of lights flickering in the heavens.
Distantly wondering if she was doing the same.
Tipping his head back with a sigh, he eyed the ceiling with vague intrigue. There weren’t many bold enough to come to the old building and clean the bathrooms. Cobwebs littering the ceiling had been swept away and he was hard-pressed not to smile at the memory of that day. Her hands curled tight into fists, foot stamping down against the floor as she demanded his attention. Cobwebs sticking to her hair tied back in a high ponytail, making her face seem all the rounder and her eyes bigger. His heart stuttered in a beat and he swallowed thickly.
The orange and red of the sun rays reminded him vaguely of her eyes, when the sky was painted in hues of violet and pinks dappled in orange and red, slowly fading to a deep blue — he was reminded of her. Hearing the shuffling of the Mokke passing by and their curious noises, Hanako cleared his throat and tipped his hat down, ignoring the heat rising to his cheeks.
It was easier to forget when the supernatural roamed the halls — that he wasn’t there with her and that she likely wasn’t thinking about him. His fingers brushed along the brim of his hat before falling to his side as his head tipped forward, chin tucked close to his chest and eyes downcast. Although he knew that his touch would be cold to her, her hands were always warm when they interlaced with his own. That warmth was something that he greedily wished for and having it close to him was invigorating.
He’d be able to forget it once the night fell and their worlds were distanced once again but the anticipation for her return would always keep him waiting. When would it no longer be enough?
When would he ask for something that he couldn’t take back and she would try her best to accommodate him out of her kindness?
His stomach twisted into knots as he remembered her eyes versus the cold icy blue ones that bore down on him. The kid and her trying to save his life from the exorcist who might have been able to truly do away with him. Hanako’s fingers twitched and he clenched his teeth, slowly raising his hand, brushing his fingers against where he could still recall the indentation. Lightning coursing through him and searing every bit of his being, attempting to cast him not only out of the school but out of this world entirely.
Away from him.
Away from her.
“Hanako-kun!”
The door slid open with a loud slam and his head jerked upright, eyes widening at the sight of her bent over with her head pressed against the door frame as she tried to catch her breath. Her school bag shouldered and another in her free hand. He tipped his head to one side then put on his brightest smile, wandering closer.
“Ho ho, what’s this? Were you so excited to see me that you ran over, Yashiro?” He asked teasingly, covering his mouth with a hand. “And that bag…”
It was dark and he couldn’t see what was inside of it but he could make a guess. It would have to do with what he asked her for but he couldn’t let her off that easy. After all, he had been waiting.
“Concealed, dark… Yashiro, you pervy ra—“ A half-choked noise left him as she threw a wild punch at him, catching him in the stomach. It wasn’t enough to truly wind him but stopped the words threatening to leave his lips. Doubled over and holding his stomach, he shuddered with barely kept laughter and residual pain.
“Hanako-kun, you idiot, don’t joke about that!” Yashiro shouted with an indignant huff, stamping her foot.
He wanted to make a joke about her radish-like ankles but he made the mistake of looking at her. Pale cheeks dusted pink with embarrassment or annoyance, her eyes seeming to glow in the dim lighting, cheeks puffed as she pressed her lips together in a thin line — a show of defiance and agitation that was almost cute. His eyes widened and he coughed, his shoulders trembling as he averted his gaze, trying to laugh instead of gawk.
“What are you laughing about now?” Yashiro whined, setting the bag down on the rim of one of the sinks and reaching out to tug at his sleeve as he moved further away from her.
His hakujoudai shut the door behind her and Hanako almost cursed it for leaving him without a way to dance out of the room discretely. The closer she got, the more he tried to avert his gaze, attempting to cool his face as he avoided her hands. Past the stalls and the painting off in the corner, the glass’s glare grew brighter and his breath hitched as he glanced her way.
Her hair seemed pink in the sunlight and her eyes were brighter, delight showing as she smiled widely and reached out. A dull stuttering in his chest catching him off guard just as her hand caught the front of his uniform and pulled him closer.
“Got you!” She shouted, a triumphant smile on her face as she hauled him closer.
A choked gasp and his lips pressed together, shoes touching the ground as he stared at her. Her eyes were closed as she lorded her victory over catching him and started rambling on about how much of a hassle she went through to get what he asked her for. The hand clutching his uniform tightened and although he could break her hold, he didn’t want to move that far away.
Like this, he couldn’t help but notice they were almost equal in height.
Doesn’t she prefer someone that’s taller?
And she was always yelling at him and bickering with him.
Didn’t she want someone that’s mature?
It was so strange. He had granted her wish and given her a bond but at what cost?
Remembering Teru’s speech, the way that he looked at him, the feeling of disgust and worry warred in Hanako’s chest and thinned one another out until they were tugging and it felt difficult to breathe. Bitterly, he remembered that he didn’t have to breathe. That he wasn’t like her and what he asked her to do might have been pointless.
A loud slap and he jerked to attention, her hands pressed to either side of his face, caving in his world until she was all he could see. “Hanako-kun, are you listening?” Yashiro asked, her cheeks puffed as she pouted and those eyes filled his world.
And she was so close.
“Yashiro…”
Her eyes widened and she was transfixed on him and he wished that he could hold this moment forever. Her eyes on him, the world quieter, a nice afternoon where they could just be — but all things had to end.
“Not in front of the Mokke,” he muttered softly, glancing aside at the rabbit-like creatures perched upon one of the mirror frames and staring at them intently.
Yashiro’s head whipped around immediately and she shrieked, pushing Hanako backwards as he laughed, the Mokke evacuating from their perch as she neared to tell them not to pay attention to that. Perching on the ledge of his window, he rested his elbow on his bent knee and his cheek in hand as he watched her chase them around. The bag teetered back and forth against the rim but Yashiro’s quick movement caught it and she pulled it close to her chest, hugging it tightly.
His eyes narrowed. Did it really mean that much to her?
He wanted to laugh but the cynicism didn’t come to him as easily as it used to. A thought that made his insides turn. He was changing and she was the cause of it. So what would happen later?
“We should get started, Hanako-kun!” Yashiro called, checking the contents of the bag as she worried her bottom lip between her teeth. “Tsuchigomori-sensei said that I can use the Home Ec room but only while he’s here and he doesn’t want to stay that long.”
Of course, he should’ve known that nosy spider had something to do with it. Hopping off his perch, his feet levitated off the ground as he floated over.
“What do you mean we should get started?” He asked, folding his arms and crossing his legs as he floated beside her. “I thought I asked you to bring doughnuts, not the ingredients to make them.”
Yashiro set her hand on her lip and fixed him with a flat stare. “If you help make them instead of just eat them, you’ll appreciate them more,” she explained, her cheery smile following after and adding insult to injury. “And it’ll be a fond memory.”
Sliding the door open, she let in the light from the hallway and stepped out before flashing him a smile over her shoulder. Left in the quiet for a moment, he could feel the dull beating in his chest and grimaced.
“Hey hey, are you going?” One of the Mokke asked.
Another knocked against it. “Course course, dummy not too.”
“Oi, who’re you calling a dummy?” Hanako grumbled with a huff.
“Hanako-kun!”
He bolted upright at the call of his name and drifted out into the hall, ignoring the snickering of the Mokke as he followed after her. Drifting overhead with his arms crossed behind his head and legs crossed at the knees, her soft humming carried and filled his ears along with the settling of the building and the chirping and buzzing of insects outside. Although he knew that she likely couldn’t hear the rest of the noises, the supernatural entities watching them but keeping at bay at the sight of him — he wished she could.
That she could see the world that he lived in just as he could see hers.
But this is where they interconnected and it would have to be enough.
“Hanako-kun?”
He hummed softly to show he was listening but when she said nothing further, he opened one eye and glanced down at her. “What is it, Yashiro?”
“… Could you walk beside me?”
His eyes widened and he drifted lower, trying to get a better look at her face. Was it the sunlight or did her cheeks seem pinker than usual?
“Why?” Hanako asked, folding his arms across his chest.
Yashiro shuddered and he thought that it might have been from the chill of his presence. Drifting further away from her to put distance between them, he tipped his head to one side, his hat nearly falling before he caught it.
“…Please?”
Her voice was soft and small, barely above a whisper, but he heard it loud and clear. With her shoulders bunching and the tight grip on the bag, her hair slightly obscuring her face, his heart stuttered a beat. Did something happen to her before she came here? Something that made her even want him to be closer despite all their bickering?
Lowering to the ground, his shoes settled on the wooden floors with a featherlight tap and he adjusted his hat. “If that’s your wish,” he said, shrugging dismissively when she looked up at him with wide eyes.
“Wish? W-What do you want in exchange?”
She was a smart one despite what everyone else might think about her. He hid the smile threatening to form as he covered his mouth with his hand.
“The doughnuts of course.”
She made a soft noise of discontent and looked away from him, his shoulders shaking as he laughed. Yashiro made it so easy to tease her but did she really think that he was going to tell her that easily? Glimpsing her out of the corner of his eye, the faint smile curving her lips as she looked ahead, his eyes softened and he averted his gaze.
If only it was that easy to tell her.
The Home Ec room was quiet when they entered and Yashiro quickly set to work before he could lift a finger. Tying back her hair, finding an apron, making sure that they had all the equipment they needed and everything was wiped down — it was certainly impressive and a little cute how far she was going for this.
“Hanako-kun, don’t just stand around,” Yashiro shouted, knocking him out of his thoughts. “You have to take your hat off and your uniform jacket too.”
Hanako snorted, his lips curling with an amused grin. “Why? It isn’t as if I can get dirty, you know.”
Yashiro folded her arms across her chest. “Doughnuts.”
“Wh— Are you trying to blackmail me?”
She eyed him for a moment then turned away, her nose high in the air. “Doughnuts.”
Gaping and at a loss for words, he huffed and set his hands on his hip. Really, she was something.
“Fine, fine.”
Removing his hat, he let one of his hakujoudai hold onto it while he shouldered out of his jacket and let the other one hold onto it. Left with only his shirt and tie, he smoothed them out unconsciously, hyperaware of her gaze as he walked around the side of the counter. It was stupid having to walk instead of float but he wouldn’t say that aloud. It was her wish after all and he was soft enough to grant it.
Leaning against the counter with enough mindfulness to keep from fazing through it, he glanced at her from the corner of his eye. Her own were widened and studying him with a thoughtfulness that almost made him feel shy. Fluttering in his stomach and a dull throb in his chest catching him off guard.
“Doughnuts,” he reminded, quirking a brow and smiling amusedly when she started to scramble.
“You don’t have to remind me,” she said in a huff.
Tentatively, Hanako had to admit that it was fun working with Yashiro to make them. She told him stories of the last time she did them with Kou and he tried to smile for her sake. The tightness in her smile as she recounted how messy it was and how Teru might be a terrible cook. The horror in her eyes at the latter made him want to laugh but also recoil. Right, she did have some idolization for him — although it seemed fuddled lately and less starry-eyed.
Was it wrong that he felt both happy and dismayed? Teru was one of her idols, someone that she had a baseless affection for but now it was tarnished and because of him. Yet when she gushed about him, her eyes bright and voice soft as a bell’s ringing — he couldn’t help but feel off.
On one hand, he didn’t want Yashiro’s crush to be shattered and her idea of love ruined.
On the other, he didn’t want to hear about someone who could have likely been the end of him.
“Hanako-kun…”
Why was everything with her so confusing?
“Hanako-kun!”
And she was constantly getting in his head?
A soft whisper against his ear sent a shudder through his body and he jerked away, clamping his hand against his ear, his eyes wide. Yashiro stared at him confusedly, her head tipping to on side.
“… Are you blushing?”
Pressing his fingers to his cheeks, Hanako stiffened up then huffed. “I’m not.”
“Hm… then did you hear anything I said?”
As much as he hated to admit it and did so bitterly, he shook his head. “No…”
“I said that it’ll take a bit for them to cool. So we can sit down and get off our feet.”
Hanako hummed softly, opening his eyes and glancing down at her ankles. “… Your feet hurt, really?”
He dodged out of the way as Yashiro gasped and chased after him. “What is that supposed to mean!? Hanako-kun!”
It wasn’t like he had to run on his own two feet. He could’ve easily evaded her by leaping in the air or disappearing to another part of the room, leaving his hakujoudai to keep a track on the donuts. But this was night. In a classroom lit by the evening sun, running around with her chasing after him and calling his name —
The brief distraction. Like the scratching against a record player. His own name spoken in static by a voice that curdled his insides. A heavy thump against his back as Yashiro knocked into him, staggering backward with a soft whine.
“Why’d you stop all of a sudden, Hanako-ku—“ Her voice trailed off and the silence between them made him wonder if she could hear it. The dull thudding in his chest, the off-beat of his breathing, turmoil wrestling in his stomach and the fluttering in his chest. Or the quiet apologies that he couldn’t bring himself to speak. Because she wouldn’t understand.
Because she didn’t know.
“You know..”
Hanako tipped forward a bit as he felt the solid warmth pressing against his back. His eyes widening and he chanced a glance over his shoulder, relieved when he saw her back to him. He wasn’t sure what he’d do if it was her front. Mentally pinching himself for that train of thought as her soft hum filled his ears.
“A girl and a boy alone together in a classroom at this time, it’s a little romantic.”
“… Romantic?”
“Mhm.”
“You’ve been reading your storybooks again, haven’t you?”
Her indignant huff almost made him laugh until he felt the warm pressure against his wrist. Not a squeezing vice that would hurt him but a gentle caress, her fingers wrapped around his wrist. Part of him wanted to be afraid, to jerk his arm free of her grasp and brush it off with a smile. The other simply wanted to stay there and bask in this warmth for as long as he could have it.
“Hanako-kun, you’re cold…”
He tilted his head slightly, glancing back at her. “…I know.”
“You’re cold,” she repeated softly.
He furrowed his brow and tried to catch a glimpse of her face. “Yashiro?”
She looked up at him and the dull ache returned in a sharp throb. Her eyes glazed over with unshed tears and a smile curving her lips as she held his wrist closer, her fingers brushing over the heel of his hand.
“Hanako-kun, making doughnuts like this, and hanging out together — it’s fun isn’t it?”
Mutely, he nodded, unable to look away from her eyes. Why was she crying? Why did she look so upset? Why was she smiling?
“Let’s do it again, more and more…okay?”
He pressed his lips together, the corners of his lips twitching as he averted his gaze. How was he supposed to tell her? They wouldn’t be able to do this forever. She would graduate, she would leave this place, she wouldn’t be able to stay with him like this forever. And this roundabout that they were going on would come to an end.
Just like all good things.
“You don’t have to promise me, Hanako-kun.”
She tugged him gently and he stumbled over his feet as he followed along after her, keeping his gaze downcast until a doughnut freshly baked and out of the oven was offered to him.
By her.
“If you say yes, I’ll believe you.”
His fingers twitched, curling into a tight fist then easing. The words were dancing on his tongue and he could feel the unseen eyes glaring into him. Quietly beckoning.
Would he break his own rule?
Would he defy all that he could do in his supernatural life for this one girl?
Reaching out, he plucked the doughnut from her hands and gave her one of his brightest smiles.
“… Yes.”
Perhaps one day, he’d convince himself that this roundabout was worth the end.

Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Chapter 14: The 4pm Bookstacks (Part 4)
Previously: a lot happened. A whole lot. We’re finally learning about Hanako’s backstory and boy oh boy was it tough to read. And the worst part is that we’ve barely even scratched the surface of his story and I already was on the verge of tears. And I think this flashback isn’t over yet. So this can only mean good things for my sanity as we go through the rest of the chapters. It’s :) gonna :) be :) just :) great :)
Now onto the next chapter!
I don’t know if I’m emotionally prepared to keep going after the last chapter but my curiosity is also kinda killing so we’re gonna pummel through anyway!
.................................................. (ಥ﹏ಥ) I’m so sad and it’s only the first page oh boy
It looks like we’re starting right where we left off but it looks like Hanako is employing a tactical move that I like to call “swift and sudden change of subject”. And I get that he clearly doesn’t want to talk about it but sigh I wish he would.
There’s the lunar rock! Oh, that’s interesting. He says that it fell right in front of him when he was about four years old. Tsuchigomori doesn’t really believe it’s an actual lunar rock, but Hanako says that he thought he wouldn’t, but that that won’t change what he believes
...baby boy ♡o(╥﹏╥)o ♥♡ sweet baby boy look at that smile
BUT more importantly
“We”, you say, huh? Okay, so before when the suspicious green-haired girl said “is yours like that, too?” I had asked a lot of questions since that comment had opened various possibilities. The main theories I had at the time was that maybe if more than one person summoned Hanako, then maybe different versions could appear or even that it could have been the same Hanako but acting differently depending on the person who called upon him. And this “we” comment could still point to something similar, maybe hinting that he has multiple personalities. But it also makes me think of another answer that I can’t believe it didn’t cross my mind earlier: could it be that he has a brother? Would that even work? Like, it would mean that his brother has to be dead too, right? So idk, maybe it wouldn’t be possible, But they keep hinting at this idea that there’s “another Hanako”, so I think I should keep various options on the table just case.
....................baby boy
I’m sorry for gushing so much but he just looks so excited about his rock and the moon I :(((( I’m very torn because he’s adorable but he’s also covered in bruises and cuts and I just want him to be safe even though this is the past and nothing can be done now
Also! The fact that he said that this rock is his prized possession and now it is Tsuchigomori’s yorishiro (aka the object with the strongest emotional connection he has in his possession) says a lot about their relationship, huh? He really must care a lot about Hanako, much more than he lets on.
But yeah, Tsuchigomori wants to go back to the important subject at hand but once again Hanako uses “swift and sudden change of subject” and it’s super effective! It’s really taking all of my self-control not to post every panel with smiling Hanako here, he’s too precious, hel p. It seems like he really likes the moon and probably space in general and that’s really cute
o h
The way my heart just sank oh my fucking go d child please get away from the window Tsuchigomori please get him away from there
(;;⚆ _ ⚆ ) Tsuchigomori pl e a se get him down from there before I have a heart attack
Oh okay, he’s back, mostly, kinda. He’s still on the window sill, though, and it’s giving me anxiety. I really need him to step back inside the room. God, I would have panicked just as much as Tsuchigomori right there jfc
Okay so, after slapping Tsuchigomori’s hand away when he tried to help him (which, hello, physical manifestation of his own unwillingness to get help), Hanako mentions how Tsuchigomori has said before that he’s worried about him and that he wants to help, and the teacher confirms that yes, that’s the case
..............................god, I think I kept mentioning it last chapter too, but there’s something so powerful about the way Hanako was drawn in these last two chapters. He’s clearly the same character we have come to know, but there’s such vulnerability and humanity in the way he’s portrayed that it really tugs at your heartstrings. He looks so small and vulnerable, just like the child he is. A child that has seen and experienced too much but who still smiles to not worry those around him.
Ah, speaking of which
;u;
So yeah, here’s where he gives Tsuchigomori the rock. And the latter is surprised to be receiving it since Hanako did say that this was his most prized possession. Hanako says that whenever he looks at it, he fees as if he could go anywhere..........okay, that just brings up more questions, because why would he give away something that gives him hope?
..................oh. Oh no, I don’t like the implications right here, no sir
...........................................fuck. I really really don’t want my hunch to be right but. this really implies that he could have decided to end his own life. Because then he wouldn’t need his rock, not if he was bent on “not going anywhere”. And he’s saying it with a smile too what does that mean ...........I..........okay, let’s keep reading
It looks like the memory is over and we’re back to Yashiro and Tsuchigomori in the nurse's office. Wow, it’s night already, this whole ordeal really took quite a while.
Tsuchigomori confirms that what Yashiro saw where indeed the memories housed inside the yorishiro and oh! That’s right! That means that Hanako was the only person to have successfully changed their future, at least according to Tsuchigomori. How exactly did he change it would be the question to ask now.
Tsuchigomori starts to talk about the significance the moon landing had on society at the time since before that “going to the moon” was just another unattainable dream that only existed in people’s imaginations. But then it became reality and the world was full of hope because it opens the door to dreams that before seemed so unattainable now seemed possible. And how, among this cheerful climate, there was one boy who at that moment decided he wouldn’t be going anywhere.
Then he mentions that, as his teacher, he was worried about him, or so he pretended to be. Ah, okay. he says he “pretended” because he had already read his book, so even if he kept asking Hanako to tell him what was happening to him, he already knew. Hmmm, he says that he’s just “a supernatural pretending to be human” and that’s why he didn’t think much of it, but I honestly don’t think he would have been so indifferent if the book said that Hanako was gonna die soon (I’m assuming that conversation we saw wasn’t too much earlier in Hanako’s life since he didn’t look that much younger and the classroom sign said “2-2″ so he probably was in junior high? I think). So maybe the way his future change really was with him dying. Did Hanako die before he was supposed to?
oh
Oh, that’s.........that’s heartbreaking. He really did die too soon, way too soon. Fucking hell, that’s not what I expected at all. Like, when Tsuchigomori first mentioned that one person had been able to change their future, I had imagined that it would be a positive change, you know? Because usually, those type of scenarios play out with the person avoiding a bad situation that would be detrimental to their future. But it seems like here it’s the opposite.
Also, just imagine being in Tsuchigomori’s shoes in this situation. Like, you’re worried about the kid but then you find out that he's gonna be okay: he'll become a teacher after he delves into what he's passionate about. So you relax a bit, since what’s been written in the books never changes. But then, one day, suddenly and unexpectedly, that boy dies, that same boy who smiled at you and seemed to have such a bright future ahead of him. His life was cut short and now he's another being that haunts the school you work at. And you tell yourself that there was nothing you could have done since the future had never changed before, but a part of you whispers the "what ifs" every time you see his face on the hallways and it’s just. again, I repeat: heartbreaking.
;u; look at this good man. He really is a softie on the inside.
Oh dear, it looks like she’s really shaken up. Can’t say I blame her, that’s a lot of heavy information to digest in one go.
Awwww and of course, there are Kou and Hanako barging into her room, because these loud boys are loud. Also, Kou should know by this point that Hanako doesn’t have any regard for personal space with anyone so, yeah, it’s kind of a lost cause lol
Oh, sweetie...The whole ordeal was really emotionally taxing on her. Like she says there, we all knew that he was a ghost from the start but learning about his life makes us face the fact that he’s also alive at one point. He was around Kou and Nene’s age when he died. Again, we knew that deep down, but now the fact that his future was cut short is impossible to ignore. That’s the reality of the situation and Yashiro has a lot to think about after this. She’s still only, what, fifteen? and it is a heavy burden to deal with.
Oh? He probably notices that something is off by her reaction? Does he know what she saw when she destroyed the yorishiro?
Okay, so he goes to confront Tsuchigomori about it
Hmmm, so yeah, like I thought at the beginning of this arc: he’s probably not ready to actually share the details of his life with her yet. And honestly, after the last two chapters, I see where he’s coming from because this is a lot to unpack.

Title: The Risks [1/?]
Summary: A supposedly new head of the family quits his role to make his own gang. It was his choice to make, and this was the path he decided to take.
Word Count: 2756
Notes:
A bit gorey in a way for like some parts !!
This will most likely be a multi-chapter thing because I noticed that making it one whole story would be too much kjbg this is about Kaoru’s gang, and this chapter will focus on canon characters!! Also his first gang which he wasn’t the leader in [+ his first recruit when he actually became a leader but they break it off quickly]
The next chapters in order will probably be [Masae/Emile - Hanako/Tetsuji - All of them together] !! It could change though jkfdbf Basically they may appear in other chapters but in this order, they’ll be the main focus!!
I hope you guys enjoy the first multi-chapter thing I’ll make !!! <3 <3 Comments are appreciated uwu !!
It wasn’t a surprise that there were Yakuza members even in schools. They could be spotted anywhere, but you wouldn’t be able to identify that they were a part of such a thing. They could be your closest friends, and no person would be able to tell unless they finally open their mouths to reveal the truth.
A horrible truth that was hidden from such a tainted world.
A male caught the attention of the school once he was facing against a grown man. “Who the fuck do you think you are?!” The grown man shouted at the teenager in front of him who only smirked and placed his hands in his pockets. “Brats like you should just die! Thinking that you’re all great just because you’re a fucking kid!”
The younger male closed his eyes, a smirk still plastered on his face. “I think I’m a mere human who has the moral decency to know that women should be treated right.” He insulted the man, before he opened his eyes to glare. “Objectifying a woman is never correct. And saying people like me should just die? That’s such a stupid insult!” He shook his head. “I thought someone looking so angry can do better than that.”
The older man threw a fist at the male and some students gasped or screamed out of worry for their fellow schoolmate. Some even covered their eyes, worried that they’d see a bad injury on his face.
Much to their surprise he dodged the hit, and he dodged all the punches that were supposed to make him bleed. “Try harder than that, sir. this is getting quite boring. I’ll give you 5 more tries before I hit back, got it?”
He lifted up a finger each time the man tried hitting him again, and once all his fingers on his right hand was up, he went close enough to punch the man’s solar plexus hard enough to knock him down. “It’s over.”
“Atitarn.” Someone called his name and he only turned around before going back to his happy demeanor.
“Oh hello there, Miss Kinokuni.” A large grin appeared on his face and he got a paper handed to him, and he only began sighing. “A warning?”
“Even if you did this to protect a fellow student, violence is prohibited inside school premises.” She gave a cold glare before turning around and walking away again. “You have 2 warnings left before you’ll be suspended, 7 more before you get expelled. Take note of that.”
The male slipped in the paper in the pocket of his shirt before he eyes the girl. She didn’t know it yet, but there would be people who’d be aiming for her. Maybe not this year, or the next... but knowing how the Yakuza is, they’d probably be make her a target. She was from a rich clan, and she would be the new head in a couple of years.
He folded his arms before observing her stance, whispering to himself. “I do respect you with my entire being, but I might not be there if they finally aim for you.” He gritted his teeth. “My father wouldn’t allow me to protect a schoolmate or risk our name for this. Hopefully any other Yakuza family will be able to protect you.”
“Kaoru!” A familiar voice was calling his name and he instantly turned around to see a male who he was pretty close to. “You were talking to yourself... Are you mad at Nene for giving you a slip.” He asks, a bit worried. “Please don’t be, she’s only doing her job as a Student Council member.”
“Sir Isshiki, you’ve got it wrong. I was only talking to myself, no worries. No hate, I swear.” He smiled at the fellow student before he flicked his forehead. “I’d never look at a woman with hate... At least I hope I don’t.”
He was also worried that this person may be a victim for a quite similar reason as the girl he was thinking about. He might have been hard to aim for, since he did seem like he was hiding something- a talent. But he couldn’t help but overthink about the situation.
He didn’t want any of them to be hurt.
This scenario? Happened years ago back in middle school.
“Kaoru.” A male with dark hair and green eyes called out to him. He was quite similar in terms of appearance, but he looked much more strict. His eyes were filled with worry despite how he was expressing it.
“Yes, dad?” Kaoru looked up from the gun he wielded. He was cleaning it up after an incident he was in. He shot a couple of people dead together with “Contanti” and “Dragon”. His father got the gun from his son and it only made him a bit surprised by his gesture. “What do you want to tell me?”
“I respect your decision. You know that well.”
“I do, dad.”
“But I still want you to be careful. Even if you cut off your ties with our own family Yakuza gang, I hope you know making one yourself is much more dangerous.” He paused, before continuing. “You’re going to be a leader, everyone is going to aim for your head. One mistake could kill you, son.”
Kaoru became quiet for a moment and the last word did hurt him a lot. He was the only child of his mother and father, and they were always so protective over him. “I know the risks, dad. But I want to gain my own name with mother’s, since Chankul is known around the whole Thailand and even Japan.” He grinned a bit. “Plus, I’ve got the talent of the most amazing man in the world, I’ll survive.”
His father hid the tears really well, but he was definitely proud of him. “I believe in those words. Be sure to drop a message every week.” He handed back the gun to his son. “Be sure to shoot those fuckers dead.”
“Yes, I will.” He laughed a bit before winking. “I’ll make sure that they’re down before they even lift their gun at me.”
“You better.” His dad playfully slapped his back and there was a woman’s voice ringing in both of their ears.
“Sakda, Kaoru. It’s time to eat dinner.” She peeped from the door, her gold eyes filled with tears and her silver hair all messed up in a bun. “We should be sure to have a feast before our little boy starts his little life by... by...!”
“Mom, please don’t cry over this...” Kaoru smiles sadly as he approached his mother. “I’m going to be renting a little house for now, I’d not immediately start this whole life yet with a single finger. Contanti and Dragon wouldn’t be down to kill every single say, you know?”
“But you’re in high school!” Her mother yelped. “The last year of high school! You’re still a minor in my heart and knowing that you’re growing up so fast-!”
“Mom...” He knew he’d miss her. He knew he’d miss the dinner she’s make every day. The smile she had the moment he came home and the sweet hugs she gave every time it was time for him to go to his bed.
In the house he rented, he wouldn’t be able to have these, and he’ll miss that.
“I’ll be okay.”
His mom hugged him tightly and began crying on her son’s shoulder and his dad finally allowed himself to cry and he patted the back of Kaoru, sadness yet happiness in his tears at the same time.
He’d miss his dad giving him playful remarks and the tiny bickers he has with him He’d not see the grin on his face every time he lifted up a test result. He’d not hear the loud voice of his father, telling the world he had the best son in the world.
Kaoru gave up, he couldn’t handle it. A smile was present on his face and he began crying with his parents. “I love you so much, but I’ll come back... I’ll make you both proud.”
There was a trio in an empty house and they were drinking different things. One was drinking coffee, another was drinking tea and the last was drinking whiskey.
Yesterday, they were able to perfect practice and eliminate 20 people inside the most wanted criminals. They decided to celebrate with a tiny party of drinks and a couple rounds of gambling.
“Are we going to do anything today, Kaoru?”
“No. I think Eizan doesn’t want to deal with you right now.”
“I don’t want to deal with him either! Why can’t we like... you know, shoot people together? Without that...” He went closer to whisper. “Greedy Shit.”
“I heard that, you midget.”
“Hey... What the fuck did you say?!”
Kaoru was currently sitting on a chair, and he sipped his tea while the other two were glaring at each other. “I know you two hate each other, but we’re practicing to be leaders all together.” He sighed. “Shoot each other once we’re done with our training.”
Right before they could draw out their gun at each other, the male who tried to deal things peacefully already stole it from them. To his annoyance, they brought out their knives. “For fuck’s sake...” He slammed his mug on the table, and it was strong enough to break the mug.
“Oh. Red Hair Clips is mad.”
“Atitarn, don’t take this personally.” Eizan stared at the man who broke his own mug. “But it would have been a miracle if that was this stupid man’s head instead.”
“Why the fuck would he take it personally?! He wasn’t the one being insulted now was he?!”
“If you weren’t so easy to insult, then maybe I wouldn’t make fun of-”
Kaoru shoved a cigarette stick inside their mouths before lighting it up. “Both of you calm down, if you guys don’t kill each other first, you’ll probably both die by fucking high blood.” He walked away from the two of them.
Kuga spat the cigarette, and he cringed at the taste of smoke while Eizan accepted it and only puffed out smoke.
“We only need 3 weeks left, and we’ll stop being with each other. You two won’t need to deal with each other anymore. So please just... try to control yourselves in that span of weeks.”
“Fine then, Red Hair Clips.” Kuga jumped on the table before sitting on it. “Three weeks and I’m out of here. I’ll miss you.” He turned his head to Eizan. “But nooooo way am I going to miss you.”
“Well, I’m not surprised because I won’t miss you or your height either.”
Before they could fight again, Kaoru brought up a question.
“Who are you two protecting once we’re finished with this, if I may ask?”
“Not so sure yet.” Kuga replies before he crossed his arms. “My parents still hasn’t thought of anyone I’d be assigned to yet. They want them to be at least pretty independent.”
“And you, Eizan?”
Eizan didn’t give an automatic response, but he blew out some smoke once again. “I don’t have anyone to protect yet either. They should be worthy before I even try and protect them. It should be a good exchange.” He eyed the only one person left. “And you, Atitarn?”
“Don’t know, really.” He laughed. “Because all I want to do is make my own gang first.”
“I expected that from you, Atitarn. You never mentioned being the next head of your family’s clan.” Eizan pushed up his glasses before noticing the smile plastered on the man’s face. “You could have been richer if you chose to stick with the Chankul name.”
“He doesn’t care about the money, Greedy Shit. He’s out here trying to bring a lighter name to the Yakuza, remember?” Kuga cleared his throat. “A vigilante.”
“That’s my original plan, but who knows. It’s possible for it to change.” Kaoru shrugged but poured tea into a new mug and lifting it up in the air. “I know that you might not be in the mood, but since you owe me a ton of favors, can I use it now?”
“What the fuck are you planning?”
“What do you expect I’ll say, Eizan? My favor being get a girlfriend? I mean, yeah, I’d day that, but you know- not now. I better be there on your wedding by the way but-”
“Shut the fuck up, get to the point.”
“Simple. I want to have a glass for the three of us... You know, “cheers”, if you may?”
Kuga laughed a bit before jumping off the table and pouring whiskey into his mug. “Sure! It’s a stupid request, but why not?”
At first, Eizan hesitated but he ended up sighing. “This isn’t a truce for the night. I only hate being in debt. Money or not.”
“Thank you.”
Once the three glasses made a sound, the three said one simple word- with different tones and expressions.
“Cheers!”
It’s been some months after getting his first recruit but he didn’t know it’d break so easily but he believed it was for the best.
“Aroon... Aroon... Kaoru... Masae...” A ginger was shaking Kaoru, who had his eyes dull. “She... She’s...”
“Dai... I know.”
“Fuck! Fuck!” There were several punches that could be heard, and he only punched the wall harder. “My mother may have died, but God shouldn’t be cruel enough to get Masae too!” He yelled before curling up to a ball. “Her family... Murdered... In such a humiliating way...”
Kaoru thought that his best friend since childhood was safe. She was protected by a gang but they turned against her and her own family. It hurt him too much because her family was his second family.
Valdez Milas. Her father. He was tortured to death with a knife and some burns. Right before he was killed by blood loss, there were evidences that the bite marks all over him belonged to dogs. His body was found and it was barely identifiable because of the bones seen.
Kaori Milas. Her mother. There were burns on her body, but this was not caused by fire. Detectives leaned in to the possibility of getting electrocuted and she was tied to an electric chair. Her body was found in frozen water and some guessed she could have also been drowned to her death.
Saniya Milas. Her sister, the youngest. Her body was not found during the crime scene, but she was missing in action. People believed that she was buried alive, but there are no evidences proving that this can be true.
Masae Milas. Their friend. A scar all over her back and stomach. She was found bleeding on the ground, and she was trying to drag herself to her parents, but she fainted before she could reach. Her life was spared, but maybe this was worse than death.
Kaoru began clutching his chest, his eyes being filled with tears and that was the night where he could only scream and throw objects around. Some of the bones of his hands were broken because of so much hitting and punching but the last thing he did was stay in a corner and tremble in sadness and anger.
Dai, despite how much his heart pounded with guilt because he couldn’t do anything about it approached Kaoru and placed his hand on his shoulder. He had no words to say but once his supposedly leader faced him, there was only one thing present besides tears. It was hatred.
“We’re breaking this gang.”
“What do you mean-”
“You make your own gang, I make mine.” He slowly stands up, but his hands were clutched tightly. “... We’ll need to work faster.”
“Kaoru...”
“We have to eliminate them. We’ll kill them. We’ll be the leaders of our own gang, and get revenge...”
“Is this for her?”
“Yes.”
“You already know my answer...”
They’d do anything for her.

Can you do a scenarios (or oneshot) w/ Hanako and Kou where their s/o is in danger, maybe kidnapped by one of the school mysteries, what would they be like when they’re taken away? What about when they get them back and they’re slightly injured any crying? Thank you😳😳
VARIOUS X READER - REQUEST
- “Precious.”
NOTES: YOO I HAVE LIKE A LOT OF REQUESTS AND I’M ABSOLUTELY H Y PED
HANAKO - KUN X READER
You’re kidnapped?? by a school mystery?? W HAT???
Hanako had never been so confused and frustrated in his entire life, as a mystery, of course. We won’t be talking about his traumatic past, yes?
You were supposed to be in the bathroom, doing and minding your own business. He had insisted on coming with you in the most Hanako way possible, which included a simple joke that made you look at him suspiciously before stepping inside with a ‘Come in and I’m not giving you anymore donuts’. Ah, who was he to disobey you? Truthfully, he just wanted to make sure you were safe and with him at all times, secretly knowing that someone among his own was an imposter who could come and harm you at any given moment. If he were to lose you in just a second, he wasn’t sure what he would do.
Oh.
Look at that.
It’s been around 13 minutes, of which he actually counted, and you still didn’t come out from the bathroom. He decided to sneak inside, just a peek. A peek that included calling your name just to see if you would respond with that angelic voice of yours that he absolutely adored. You didn’t.
Immediately finding out something was so so wrong, Hanako was off. Losing anyone so precious to him was an option he couldn’t even think about considering. For now, he could ask the rest of the ‘School Mysteries’ of your whereabouts. Even if he had to ask that damned President of where you could possibly, he would do it. Just for you.
Meanwhile, you groggily open your eyes. The water on the floor horribly dampened your uniform, since you were flat out squatting on the ground. Wait. ‘Water...?’ Your eyes shot open. Vaguely, you remembered how Hanako mentioned that all boundaries had water on the ground. This only served to increase your worry. Taking a look at yourself and your surroundings, you notice how your arms were littered with tiny scars and scrapes. Where were you?
“OH! YOU’RE (L/N)!” Your neck snapped up to see Hanako... no, that’s not him. That’s his twin... Tsukasa? Your head hurt too much. “You’re the one dating Amane!” Tsukasa tilts your chin up, cheeky grin plastered on his face. He looked like a bratty rat.
You shut your eyes, expecting Tsukasa to slap you when he raised his hand. Nothing came though, unless you counted the hand patting the top of your head far too harshly to be a gentle head pat. He asked you questions upon questions despite your head being so lightheaded that you couldn’t register them in your mind to find a coherent answer. “Hey, (Y/N)--” When did he start calling you by your first name? “Will you marry Amane? Will you? Will he kill you like he did to me too?”
“H-Huh?” You finally answer him, making his eyes sparkle brightly. “What do you mean by tha--”
“TSUKASA!”
Ignoring you in seconds after he was all on you, Tsukasa ran and wrapped his arms and legs around Hanako in a tight grip. An awkward-looking hug that wasn’t returned in any way, which was fine by the younger Yugi twin who was still screaming ‘Amane! Amane!’. Beside him, you saw a girl, someone with electric yet calming green hair and a stare that could pierce into your soul. She walks over to you, muttering something about ‘Not being able to leave him without a student being harmed’.
Surprisingly, she was gentle when she was helping you up. A direct opposite to Tsukasa, who didn’t help you up at all and just patted you times infinity. “My apologies, (L/N)-san.” How? What? How did this girl know your name? You felt awful not knowing who the strange girl was when she already knew your name.
“This... might happen again, make sure yours is always with you.” You nod, words not very clear but you understood the gist of it. You’re handed over to Hanako, who greatly accepted your presence instead of his own younger brother with loving arms.
“I’m sorry...” You whimper, being carried in his arms with your arms wrapped around his neck. He would most definitely tease you about your current position right now, but that was for later. His worry for your safety was more important. He sighs, a sad chuckle escaping him.
“You really scared me, (Y/N)..” Hanako mutters under his breath. As he sees you start to fall asleep, he presses a soft kiss on your forehead. “I don’t want to lose you too.”
KOU MINAMOTO X READER
MY BABEY DON’T HURT HIM LIKE THIS
Maybe... Maybe you should have stayed in a safer place instead of hanging around Kou, who was looking for this pesky apparition he wanted to help out so they could just stop harassing almost all of the students.
Because now you were gone, away from him and he didn’t like that. No, not one bit.
‘H-How do I do this??’ Kou frets, glaring at the spot where you were in earlier before being absolutely murked by that apparition he was supposed to be helping but now wanted nothing more than to find them and just... hurt them. Just a little bit. ‘Is this what Teru-nii feels like??’
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
You squint your eyes, looking at the apparition that snatched you away from your beloved Kou. Speaking of Kou, you worried for his sanity. You felt guilty that you urged him to take you with him as he hunted down whatever was making the students so afraid. What? You liked seeing him all serious yet caring, you loved it.
Now this was your consequence. The apparition, one with a large and weird mask covering the face underneath, carried you over their shoulder. You couldn’t see it, but their aura felt stiff. Perhaps they were frustrated? “(L/N), I won’t hurt you.”
‘Oh great, great, except you just fuc kin kidnapped me and took me away from my boyfriend.’ You frown, wanting to cross your arms but was unable to do so because of the position you were currently stuck in. The apparition in turn sucked in a sharp breath.
“You’re just bait.” You’re what now? “I’ve been trying to get that Minamoto’s attention for days now! Then he just sends his little weakling brother for me!? Horrible.” You always believed peace was an option for a variety of problems. This, however, was not one of them. You started thrashing, punching his back like you wanted them to throw you off.
Eventually, they threw your body on the ground. Apparently, you just noticed that you two were on the rooftop all along. Sure, your back hurt like hell and you probably had a bruise somewhere but you didn’t acknowledge that as of this moment. All you wanted was that apparition to take their words about Kou being a weakling back.
“Do you disagree with me? Why hide your eyes from the truth?” This one positively sucks. If you could throw hands right now, you would. Except you’ve just been given a huge disadvantage, with him having more strength as a supernatural and with you being a normal student who was given the chance to see supernaturals for some odd reason.
The apparition strided over to you, smirk apparent on their faces as they loomed above your weak stature. Your eye twitches, wanting nothing more than to fistfight and win, even if the sucky supernatural had greater power than a human like yourself.
“I suppose it’s true... weak humans flock together.”
UM??? F UC K YOU???
Just as you were about to stand up, losing your self-control over that one statement, someone beat you to it. White thunder crashed and hit the apparition’s head dead on, just enough for them to wince and look over to the direction it came from.
“(Y/N)!”
“KOU!?”
You blink. Once. Twice. A lot of times, actually. Kou was there, you didn’t see him come up but you were extremely grateful he did before you could possibly get even more hurt. His golden staff, wildly shot out various white lightning strikes which mostly hit the apparition. Just enough for them to become unbalanced and trip on to the ground.
All of a sudden, Teru came out. ‘Seriously, where did they come from...?’ You squinted, looking at the older Minamoto who was angling his katana menacingly right at the apparition’s throat with quite a sadistic glare. It made you shiver, even if it wasn’t directed at you.
“(Y/N)?? Are you okay!??” Kou, such a sweetheart, helped you up from the ground. You hung your arm around him to keep you from falling down on the ground. He looked at you with utmost care and affection, it made your cheeks warmth considerably so. Once he noticed the blush on your cheeks, it was immediately understood as a fever or embarrassment. “I-I’ll take you to the clinic!”
You nod, not before patting his head with a small smile on your face.
“Thank you for saving me, Kou!”
Kou gulps, his face heating up twice more than yours.

Once the leader of the gang had a couple of drinks with his members, he decided to go upstairs to get some food from the fridge. His eyebrow raised when he heard several violent knocks on the door. Curiosity built up in his veins, and he wanted to check who was behind the door. Was it an enemy who found out their location so easily? He wouldn’t be able to tell unless he turned the knob on the door.
A sly smirk was present on the leader’s face as he carefully approached the door, and one twist of the knob, there was a gun to someone’s head. Before he even spoke, he felt a sharp knife pressing on his skin, but it wasn’t enough to cause a cute. His eyes widened to see a familiar face... A face he never expected to see in those hours.
“Eizan?”
“No shit, Atitarn.”
The rest of the gang members were waiting for their leader to come back, and they wondered where he was. “Do you think Kaoru was drunk enough to fall on the floor and sleep there?” The person who acted like the oldest member brought up. “I know he wasn’t drunk before he went up, but it could have hit him late.” He was trying to explain what may have happened to him.
“Possibly.” The planner of the gang shrugged. “I can see him being that kind of person... Getting suddenly drunk out of nowhere. But despite the possibility of that being true...” She raised her finger. “We should still check him up. We wouldn’t know the truth until we check.” She was the first one to get up and start going upstairs and the rest followed.
“If there’s a stranger there, I’d have to bring out my knife... The paralysis one...” The most petite figure brought out a knife, her red eyes perfectly matching her threat. “I wouldn’t let anyone hurt the people I have left. They should perish.” Her voice got rather cold, and normally she didn’t speak like this around them. Her dark demeanor instantly dropped once someone behind her ruffled her hair.
“We should hear what Kaoru has to say first, mi amiga!” He tells her this and he was actually right. “Just because you don’t recognize someone’s face, it doesn’t mean that you should take them down. There is a possibility that he may know the person! He may have never mentioned them to us before.” Emile always knew what words to say, and the girl slowly placed her knife away.
That was an awful first impression.
A man who they never met in their life currently had a knife at their leader’s throat and the person who they were looking for was pointing a gun at the intruder.
Before they started anything, Kaoru had to capture their attention first, especially when one of them was already running to the visitor with a knife at hand. “Calm down, you all.” He started to speak before he placed his gun down. “It’s not someone who should be killed. See?”
Eizan placed the knife away from Kaoru, glaring at him. “If you didn’t point the gun at my head, I wouldn’t move by instinct.” He placed his knife away before crossing his arms.
“Aroon, you should have expected Gaia to act like that.”
“I know, Lotus.” Kaoru began laughing despite the atmosphere. “I apologize for worrying my one and only gang. It’s my fault.”
Emile blinked and tried to familiarize the face of the person who just entered. “I’ve never seen you before, but I think it’s best if I remember your face.”
He pushed up his glasses in annoyance before he turned around to Kaoru. “I only came here to talk to you.”
“You enough told me before you came. I and my gang is celebrating the first official mission we completed together.” The gang leader spoke up. “So if you wish to tell me something, please reschedule it to tomorrow. I want to celebrate.”
Eizan was irritated by Kaoru, but he did believe he made a point. Normally, he’d schedule something. But because of the whole suddenness of everything that was going on his side, he didn’t think clearly. “Fine then.” Eizan sighed, showing a sign of anger. “However, you better promise you’ll go to District 9.” He turned around, but before he could place a cigarette in his mouth, someone slapped his hand. “What the fuck-”
“If Canción is around, no one is allowed to smoke.” The girl who was previously holding a knife stated, her eyes half-lidded. “If you can’t obey the rules, get the hell out.”
“So what if I don’t?”
“Are you testing me?
“Eizan.” The person who owned the house suddenly changed the tone of his voice, sounding less playful than usual. “I promise to meet you there as long as you calm down. I wouldn’t want to be mad at this time... Or see you paralyzed. Don’t underestimate her, she beats both our speeds and the tiniest cut can do the worst.” He pulled the girl back. “And Gaia, you too. Calm down.”
He knew that Kaoru was the kind of person to train all his subordinates, but he didn’t know that he’d be able to make their skills meet the maximum potential. “Whatever.” He continued walking away, but before he closed the door, he specified the time. “Be there at 8pm sharp.”
The door closed at their faces and the gang members began eyeing their leader.
“You want to know who he is, huh?”
“He was rather impolite.” Hanako brought up before sighing. “You’ve never brought someone like him before, I never knew you’d have a bond with someone like him.”
“I... I’m happy that he didn’t smoke inside the room.” Emile began smiling. “I might not know him, but I do think that he’s someone that you consider as important. I can read your eyes... so I’m curious!”
“Never have I ever thought you’d actually have someone visit this secret house of yours besides the gang of Dai Adachi.” Tetsuji stated. “Oh. And your parents. Do you have a history with him?”
“Not interested. I want to slit his throat. That’s all.”
Kaoru stared at each of his members one by one before he walked back to the basement. “I’ll tell you guys tomorrow morning. First, let’s continue celebrating.”
Once the door was locked by Tetsuji, everyone ended up going down to continue having their small little party... even if they had a billion questions in their minds.
“So you’re telling us that you’ve had a gang before us?” Emile was rather shocked when he heard this. “I thought we were your first, but no wonder you’re so experienced! I thought that you were only trained by your family!” A pleasant yet very excited expression was on the face of the male.
“I did. But it was just a temporary thing. The gang was formed so we could bond with each other.” Kaoru answered the questions being thrown at him, and the flashbacks with his old gang made him want to flip a table. “... But trust me, I will prefer you 4 more than them any day.”
“Of course, you will.” Hanako already predicted that he was going to say that. “They seem like the only people who could... piss you off. Even if you do consider them as your friend, they seem like and enemy towards you too by how you told us the story.”
“Yeah. They make me stress the fuck out.” What she said was right. They may have been his friend, his ally, and also they were certainly significant to him- but there were times when he was done with their shit. “Added to that, they don’t have anyone as beautiful as you, Lotus. They could never be as sweet as Canción. They’re not as soft as Gaia. And of course, they can’t beat the dadness of Sukiru.”
A blush was on the cheeks of the first person mentioned, before she placed her palm on your forehead. “Now isn’t the time for flirting.”
“Mi amiga, I think he’s being serious! He actually mentioned that you were the most beautiful person in the world when he was drunk last night.”
Hanako was already asleep by the time when he said that, and her cheeks went darker. She tried to keep her cool and only raised an eyebrow at the drunkard that night.
He gave a sheepish smile before changing the topic. “Anyway, what I truly meant is that none of you can beat your intelligence, if you want my true answer. Seriously. With you all combined, your skills, your abilities- they couldn’t take us down easily. Lotus has the plans, Canción has the words, Sukiru has his hands and Gaia has her knife.” He gestured at his holster. “And I’ve got the guns.”
Kaoru never missed the chance to compliment his members, and he always told them the truth. Every time they showed their potential, he never wished for a better team. “But yes. Going back to topic. Eizan Etsuya and Kuga Terunori were my first gang members, and... if you ever see them, please do not fight with them. That isn’t the best choice. We’re technically... allies with them, you know? Eizan may be a dick, but he surely could be useful. Kuga is a runt, but he can be nice. Try your best to at least tolerate them. You’ve seen Eizan yesterday, but maybe we can meet Kuga another time.”
“Question... Are we supposed to be with you? When you meet him at 8 pm?” Masae suddenly brought up, her head tilting.
“Yeah, sure. He didn’t tell me I should come alone.” He did have a point there. “Plus, I want it to be a better first meeting... At least better than yesterday. You were all ready to shoot him down.”
“Mi amigo, I was ready to shoot him with command... I thought he was planning something dirty, and after thinking you died yesterday... I can’t help but worry...”
“Canción...” He muttered before lifting his hand to give some pats on his head. “If you say it like that, I feel guilty about yesterday. I wouldn’t die on our first mission together.”
A little smile appeared on the brunet. “I know, but I overthink sometimes.”
“To be fair, you didn’t do what I told you to do. Once I lost any contact with you, I too, may have panicked.” The person with blue hair began speaking, her eyes drifting to the side. “I thought I may have failed on the first official mission, and I even believed my plan was flawless. I may have wanted to bring out the Swiss Knife you gave me the moment he had the knife at your throat.”
Tetsuji agreed with the other two who spoke. “I may have been the driver, and I wanted to do your command. But I hesitated a lot. If something bad happened to you, I would have placed on my brass knuckles to punch him.”
“I was already ready to slice him. Watch him get paralyzed, then poison him later.” Masae spoke up. “If you didn’t tell me to stop, I would have killed your previous team member. I can’t stand the thought of losing you... Anyone in the gang, actually.”
The room was silent, and suddenly the gang members was surprised with the sight of their leader.
He was crying.
“Oh god! Don’t feel guilty about it, Kao-”
“I’m not crying because of that.” He brought at small laughs before trying to crack up a smile. “I’m just very happy that you were that worried about me... I love you guys a lot, and I thought it wasn’t possible to love you guys more...”
Suddenly, two other people began tearing up. One of them let their tears flow down, while the other was sniffing. Luckily, Gaia didn’t place her contacts yet.
“I’ve never seen you cry before... this makes me so happy that you showed this side to us!” Emile almost pounced on Kaoru, giving him a tight hug. “Of course we’ll worry about you! We love you so much!”
It was followed by another person jumping to him, and she tried to snuggle between her two friends. “You’re our leader... No, our friend. A close friend. You should have expected us to feel that way...”
Tetsuji tapped the shoulder of Hanako before pointing at the three who were currently hurdling up. “Should we join them?” He didn’t get a verbal response, but the person he was talking to stood up before joining in and he ended up being a part of the hurdle too.
“Damn. I fucking love all of you. I’d die for you.”
“Leader, I think... “I’ll live for you” sounds better.”
After an emotional ride, there was someone calling the landline of the house. The person who picked it up was no other than Hanako. “Hello?”
“Oh! Lotus!” A cheerful tone was on the other side of the phone. “May I talk to your leader, Aroon?”
“Of course.” She replies. “Please hold on for a minute.” He was one of the only people who visited their house often, and his voice was so familiar, even when he was only on the phone. “Kaoru, Isshiki Satoshi wants to talk to you.”
Kaoru lazily went off the couch. “Damn it. Emile was already playing the guitar.” He began walking to the place where the phone was. “Thank you, Hanako.” He thanks his friend before he sat down on a chair. “Hey Isshiki! It’s been a while since you called.” He placed his elbow on top of the desk. “What is it this time? Is anyone bothering you? Should I shoot someone?”
“It isn’t that, Kaoru.” The happiness in his voice was slowly fading. “I want to ask if you’re available at 8 pm.” Wasn’t that the same time he was going to meet Eizan?
“No can do, Sir. I have someone to meet already.” He was unable to mention who it was since Isshiki has never met Eizan before, and he should keep his identity from him. “Can’t mention their name. But may I ask why?”
“I wanted you to meet the person who was protecting me.” Isshiki laughed nervously and suddenly Kaoru almost shouted through the phone.
“What?! Someone’s protecting you now? Wow! Lucky you! They better be great. I thought you only needed me, but apparently I’m wrong.” He laughed, and Isshiki sighed.
“I do think he is. He does mention all the rewards he’s gotten for being great... But maybe we can meet another time! I was also planning to meet Nene that time as well, so we could make sure that the gangs defending us could become allies.”
Kaoru felt a bit disappointed, knowing that he had to still meet up with Eizan. “Aw... What a shame... Maybe I can meet the person tomorrow? I’m sure that I’ll tell my gang to be nice to whoever that is!”
“I’ll also make sure to tell him that he should be nice to everyone in your gang as well!”
“Thanks Isshiki.”
After a few conversations, he placed the phone down and began stretching. “Man, what a waste of time! I have to meet Eizan instead of Isshiki and the person he’s protecting! He better be good. I don’t want that kind guy to die early.” He went back to his group before sitting on the couch again.
He didn’t expect what was coming at 8 pm.
Kaoru spotted a male with glasses and he instantly shot a bullet near his face. “Greetings, old pal!”
“You idiot! Don’t do that here!” He spat, before twitching. “Not everyone is part of a gang in this place at the moment!”
“Not... everyone?” He looked behind him. “I mean, the people with me are all part of a gang but...” He faced Eizan again before spotting a female figure who he was covering. “Ah. You actually have someone with you for once.” He smiled before skipping to the person. He had a warm smile on his face, but his eyes were closed as he approached her. “Hello, miss! Pleasant to meet you, I’m-”
“Atitarn?”
His eyes popped open when he heard the familiar voice. “... Miss Kinokuni?” He didn’t expect to see her here. He glanced at Eizan for a moment, then back at her. “Wait... Nothing is adding up. Why are you with this dangerous man?”
“You fucking dumb ass.” Eizan placed his two fingers on the bridge of his nose before shaking his head. “Should I really explain what the hell is going on?”
“No, you don’t need to.” The gang leader replied before looking at Hanako. “Lotus, make an intelligent guess.”
“I assume that the woman with him is someone who he has to protect, considering the fact that he said that there was someone who was not part of a gang.” Hanako hit the bull’s eye in just one single guess.
“Oh. Damn. Miss Kinokuni. You trust this man?”
Nene shrugged, before answering his question. “My parents do. So I assume I can trust him.”
“Wait... Weren’t you suppose to meet Isshiki? He said that he’s going to meet you at 8 pm...”
“We were.” Eizan was the one to give his reply before he looked at his watch. “And it’s already 8:03, and they aren’t here yet.”
Kaoru couldn’t guess what was going on, but he backed away before going next to his gang members. “Hey, if any of you notice anything or anyone, please inform me. It’s dangerous when a gang is together, it’s a perfect way to hit two birds in one stone.”
Emile blinked before bringing up a question. “Does something odd count?”
“Yeah. Something dangerous or odd, you can tell me. Did you see something?”
He was staring into an empty space for a moment, but he soon shook his head. “I saw something, but it could be my imagination! I just thought I saw something shining!”
The gang of Kaoru began talking to each other, but after 10 minutes- they all stopped talking.
There was a car that stopped by, and suddenly someone was coming out of it. Kaoru waited to see if it may be someone he knew, or someone he had to shoot. His relaxed the moment he spotted the person who came out.
Nene started squinting at the man who just arrived. “I said 8 pm. Why is it already 8:15?”
“I’m sorry.” Isshiki laughed nervously before scratching the back of his head. “The person who’s supposed to protect me had something important to do.”
“And where is he now?”
Before Isshiki could make the person who was currently slightly pissed at him for being tardy, he felt an arm wrap around him. “Kaoru?”
“God! What a coincidence! Look, we ended up meeting after all! Now who’s this person that my gang should be nice to?”
Once the engine of the car stopped, a blonde went out of the car before fixing his clothes. “Yo! Yo! The best Yakuza head of the world has arrived!” He posed, giving a very extra appearance. “I’m going to be nice to you because Mister All Smiles told me to-”
“Why the fuck are you here?!”
The person who came out of the care suddenly became quiet, before he replied. “Same goes to you, Greedy Shit!”
Kaoru didn’t even need to look at the person to know who it was. His face immediately paled before turning to Isshiki. “The person protecting you... is he Kuga Terunori?”
Isshiki gave a nod, with a bright smile on his face. “Yes! That is him! How did you know?”
“Oh my fucking god. This is going to end up badly.”
The gang of Kaoru heard the familiar name, and they realized that he was the other person that was part of his first gang. “Leader, are you okay? You’re turning pale.”
“I’m... dying in the inside, Sukiru. I’m fucking... dying.”
“I promised myself that I’ll never see that fucking glasses of yours again!”
“I told myself that I won’t see a midget in my damn life again!”
“YOU FUCKING BITCH!”
Kaoru began twitching and he tried to keep his cool. “Anyway...” He tried to block out the annoying argument. “Isshiki, Nene... do you want us to be allies with the person who’s currently protecting you?”
“I wasn’t the one who decided this. It was Isshiki.” She eyed the male. “I didn’t even know you were part of the Yakuza. When he said “ally”, I never expected you.”
“I didn’t know that the people who are protecting us would hates each other this much.” He really didn’t expect this to happen. “But I think if you help in protecting us, that means we have more chances of living. I trust you and your gang.”
Kaoru felt that compliment was sincere, so he only ended up smiling. “Of course you can trust us, isn’t that right?” He glazed at his gang for a moment, and they nodded their heads. “Every person in my gang is amazing and-”
Bang!
“... Kuga. Eizan.” Kaoru turned his head to spot both of his previous members pointing their guns at each other.
“I want to fucking kill you.”
“Aim better then, midget.”
“I missed on purpose, you fuck!”
“Wrong. You’re just horrible in shooting.”
“Says the man who needs glasses!”
Bang!
“At least I’m tall enough to see the fucking target!”
“Excused the fuck ME?!”
Bang!
“Listen up you too...” Kaoru brought out both of his pistols before pointing it at their heads. “If you don’t shut the fuck up, I’ll bring both of you to fucking HELL.” He already snapped. “Both of you should know that we’re not supposed to fucking fight at the moment, and here you are- shooting each other!”
“Oh wow, Stupid Red Clips brought out his gun! This is rare! Wow wow!”
“And what are you going to do, Atitarn?”
He was done with this bullshit.
He pulled both triggers.
“What the fuck, Aroon?! You shot my suit! I just bought this!”
“You broke my damn suit too. I have other pairs too but is that why you were fucking late?!”
“I was fashionably late, Greedy Shit. You, however-”
“If you two continue to talk, I’ll aim for your skulls. You know I’m good with guns.” Kaoru hissed. “My gang protect both Kinokuni Nene and Isshiki Satoshi ourselves. I don’t need you here.”
“... Tch.”
“Fine then, Aroon.”
It was all quiet. Nene never saw him all angry, neither did Isshiki. The people inside “LA5T 5HOT5″ also were in shock, knowing that their leader was capable of being this angry towards his “friends” to the point of threatening them.
“Good.” He kept his guns inside the holsters. “I hope you both know that we’re supposed to be fucking allies. We’re supposed to help each other protect these two.” He gestured to the two people who he was talking to before he ended up being too pissed. “So we’re not supposed to be at each other’s throats. Trust me, I would rather not deal with you guys being TOGETHER but it is a request from them. And I won’t deny it. They need the best protection.”
Eizan kept his gun away before he sighed. “I know.” He sighed before trying to avoid eye contact with Kuga.
“Yeah. Well informed about it! Mister All Smiles was the one who suggested it, after all.”
“We should discuss everything...” Kaoru crossed his arms. “Formally.”
“So we’re all in agreement?” Isshiki began looking around seeing everyone nodding. “That’s great then!”
“Are we free to ask questions to each other since we’re officially allies?”
“Yes, we are, Canción.”
“Why are Eizan and Kinokuni wearing matching rings? I spotted something shining... and now I know what it is!”
“Good eyes, Canción.” Kaoru smiled before he began freaking out. “Wait... Miss Kinokuni, you’re engaged?!”
“And you’re still alive?”
“WHAT?! NO WAY IN HELL GREEDY SHIT IS ENGAGED BEFORE ME!”
“It was the deal. If I were to get engaged to him, I and my family would be protected, so there will be no further deaths. However, in exchange, we also share money with them. It’s a win-win, but I have to marry him in a year.”
Eizan didn’t talk about it, all he did was sigh. After short moments, he explained further. “I only accepted because it improves the business side of the whole Eizan family.”
“Wrong. You’ll end up falling for her.”
“Excuse me, Atitarn?”
“You’re going to end up fall in love.”
“I won’t.” Eizan disagreed. “I only am with her for the business part. Nothing further.”
“Let’s have a bet. If you end up actually falling in love with her, you better make me the godfather of your kids.”
“As if that will happen. Sure. If I don’t fall for her, you have to pay me 100 USD.”
“Deal!”
“But yes. I am currently engaged to this woman and I have to protect her with my whole life or the deal is off.” Eizan brought his attention to Nene, who only listened the conversation. “So I have to deal with her for eternity.”
“I don’t really mind, as long as you don’t go overboard with your ways.” Nene looked up at him. “I’ll stop you if you do.”
Kuga was still in too much shock to react properly. “Thank god my family isn’t like that. I’m straight and I don’t want to be engaged with Mister All Smiles.”
“Shut up, midget. No one asked for your opinion.” Eizan glared at the male. “I didn’t want to be engaged with her, but if it’s to get a better reputation inside this Yakuza life of mine, I’ll do it.”
Kaoru laughed a bit, before winking. “Seems like a fair trade. Miss Kinokuni is pretty.” He complimented Nene and she turned her head to look at him.
“Shut up.”
“Come on! I was being nice!” Kaoru sneered. “Eizan may be a bit of a trouble, though. You and him seem to have the opposite kind of morals, but you’ll get through it.”
“I already know that very well.”
“Dang, I can see why you think it’s a possibility of love. Greedy Shit and Woman on her period. Seems like a romantic love story.”
“Die.”
“Oh oops. I’m not dead yet!” Kuga grinned before sticking out his tongue. “Are you disappointed?”
“Please don’t go too far.” Isshiki tried to stop him, and Kuga only pouted. Damn, why did he have to protect such a peace maker? It was no fun at all!
“Since we know... that... Eizan is engaged, and the reasons for it... Why did you protect Isshiki?”
“It’s easy as this. Their family is really hecking rich!” Kuga told them facts about this person. “And this makes him famous! If someone like me, who’s already famous enough, protects this man... Fame will be all around me! I bet that I’ll be the greatest Yakuza member in the world in everyone’s eyes!”
“It’s stupid if you call me greedy when you have an explanation like that.
“You’re greedy for money. I’m just hungry for game. It’s two different things!” Kuga complained. “Sheesh, always trying to look for something to go against me, huh?”
“I’ll just ignore your whole fucking existence.” Eizan began ignoring Kuga, and he wanted to listen to the side of his other previous gang member. “And you, Kaoru? Why are you accepting this?”
“You see, Miss Kinokuni is someone who I knew since middle school, and it’s the same with Isshiki. I knew something like this would happen, and... I’ve worried about them. It’s now my chance to make sure they stay alive.” He explains his side.
“And the rest of your gang?”
“We follow with whatever Aroon has to say, unless it’s morally bad. I don’t see anything wrong with it.” Hanako replied for the gang. “He usually picks the just decision. But personally, I just don’t mind. You all would need a planner after all.”
“Lotus is correct! Not so sure... but I think you might need a negotiator sooner or later! I’m also great in gaining information according to my other gang members!” Emile smiled warmly at them. “Since we’re allies now, I hope I will be a great help!”
“Obviously, you two alone can’t defend both of them all the time. I offer my services as back-up.” Tetsuji explained. “I’ve seen Isshiki enter the house of ours a couple of times, I would miss him if he were to not come back. For Kinokuni, I believe that she should be protected for the sake of my own morality. I wouldn’t let an innocent person die.”
“Whatever Aroon says, I follow.” Masae answered their question before spinning a knife around her hand. “I have no further reasons.” Without any warning, she threw the knife near someone’s face
“You could have hit the damn woman I’m protecting!”
“I wasn’t aiming for her.” Her expression darkened. “People found us.”
There was a single person who dropped on the floor. The knife went exactly on their neck.
Kuga began sighing before preparing his gun. “I wanted to bond with everyone first but here we are.” He wanted to personally get to know the rest of his gang more because of a request, but he had to let that go for a while. “We’re gonna do the same thing as old times, huh?” He hated the fact that he had to team up with the person he despised most and the person he had a large debt to. Isshiki was pulled by the blonde to get closer to him so he can make sure he won’t get shot.
“I guess so. But it doesn’t mean I want to.” Eizan brought Nene behind him.
“I told you, I can manage.”
“Obey me, woman. You’re going to make things harder for me if you stay near me.”
“Hey gang, are you ready?” Kaoru had a grin on his face. “This is the first time we’re going to protect people, I hope you’re alright with this.”
“I’m going to get the car for escape. I’ve already planned ahead if something funny happens.” Hanako was completely ready for any outcome to happen. “Give me 3 minutes, and I’ll be sure to bring the car here.”
“I’m going to distract the enemies while Lotus is at it!” Emile saluted his leader. “I can handle this!”
Tetsuji cracked his knuckles while the girl beside him got her special knives out. “I and Gaia is always prepared, Aroon.”
“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s do this.”

Kaoru gets asked about his crush by his fellow dorm mates in the same generation as him, and his answers are DEFINITELY not what Christelle expected!! By the way, since she gets mentioned, Hanako belongs to @polar-stars !!
They were currently third years, and even if their upperclassmen of the 90th generation has graduated, they would still have contact with them frequently. Well, that was when they weren’t messing around with themselves.
Dai playfully wrapped his arm around Kaoru’s shoulder before winking. “So, Ruru.” Dai was grinning, and the three swore that if he were a character in Alice in Wonderland, he could have been perfect as the Cheshire Cat with that grin on his face. “When are you planning to do it?”
The oldest male in the dorm continued to sip his coffee from the mug that he received last Christmas. “Do what?” He wasn’t entirely sure of what Dai meant because the word “do it” could mean a lot of things when it comes to him.
“What else would you expect from the person who names himself Shipper God 3000?” Christelle rolled her eyes. It was a surprise to her that Kaoru didn’t know, but well- she guessed it’s fine if he didn’t. “He’s asking when you’re planning to confess.”
Kaoru choked on his coffee and he suddenly began having a coughing fit. This caused Dai to take off his arm from Kaoru and panic over him.
“Ruru, don’t die yet! It’s not even New Year...” A woman with a butterfly clip patted his back softly and he ended up covering his mouth with his empty hand. “You’ve got to at least live until we graduate.”
“Quit thinking that I’m going to die by coffee.” He finally replies properly before he began fixing himself. “I wouldn’t necessarily say that I’m going to confess now. I’m sorry about it, Daichi. But there are reasons why I don’t want to.”
He tilted his head and began wondering what were his reasons. “If I may ask, can I know your reasons? You seem like you’ll have a good chance with her.”
Kaoru shrugged before placing his mug down. “I don’t know why you’d want to know, but it’s simple. I want her to reach her dreams before she even focuses on romance. Have you seen how focused she is in reaching her goals?” He tried to reason with his friend. “She’s a really inspiring person, and I do believe that she’s going to be successful in her career. However, that would need her attention.”
The three of them listened to Kaoru who was currently trying to explain. But a sudden smile was plastered on his cooking partner’s face. “That’s really cute, thinking of her more than your feelings!”
A light blush appeared on the male’s face before he playfully flicked his best friend. “Of course I’m thinking about her first- we’ve been together for almost 6 years, I thought you’d know me enough. I tend to prioritize others.” He leaned back on his chair. Damn, he hated how his head felt so hot when the weather felt cold.
“It sounds sad that you think that you’d hinder her so much. Don’t look at yourself that bad.”
“Oh, no, no- You got that wrong, Christelle. It’s just that I don’t want to block her concentration. I want to allow her to achieve what she wants first. I’ll tell her how proud I am when she does, even if I’m already proud of her now.” He smiles gently just thinking of how successful he imagined her to be in the future. “Thinking of it already makes me proud. If she wishes to manage her restaurant, then I want that wish to come true first. I’d love to see how great she’ll be doing first.”
“That’s really considerate of you.”
Kaoru chuckled before he continued to talk. “I guess- yeah, you can call it that. I want to visit her restaurant as well to see how she’s doing. Maybe remind her to take a break sometimes and tell her that she finally did what she wanted to do. Give her a congratulations kind of gift or something. I mean, what can you expect? I’m planning to remain in contact with all of you even after we graduate. She won’t be the only one I’ll constantly visit.” He gave a wink, he was acting like himself again.
Suddenly, someone pinched his cheeks and Kaoru wanted to slap his hand off his face. “Aww Ruru, you’re really in love! Like in love-love! So selfless, thinking of the other more, sweet words and good reasons! God, I love you two-”
“Daichi. I swear to god...”
“But when will that be? Wouldn’t that success be hard to reach?” Christelle wasn’t against his idea. She actually really liked his plan, but she was worried about the “what-if”s situations. “Well... I mean she will be graduation from Totsuki like the rest of us... So it’d be easier for her, but could you handle hiding your feelings that long?”
Well of course that’d be a question.
“Of course I’m ready to hold my feelings, I’ve done it for some time now. As I said before, I want to see her be happy with what she succeeded in doing before she thinks about romance.” He laughed, but it didn’t sound as joyful like it usually did. “I guess, I can hold it for longer. I want to see her smile for several reasons, and seeing her smile because of being successful is like- my ultimate goal. Not because of my charisma or my words.”
“You fell for her. You’ve dug yourself a hole.”
“You word things as if it’s such a bad thing, oh my god.”
“You love her so much.”
“Christelle, please stop-”
“I never knew you, from all people, could have such pure love for a single person... I...”
“What’s THAT supposed to mean?!”
“Nothing.”
Kaoru sighed, before he began drinking the warm coffee again. “Then maybe then, I can confess. After she reached that goal.”
Masae giggled at her best friend and she ended up poking his cheek. “It’s nice that even if you try to hide that fact, you’re still like yourself!! Being caring, sweet and even patient! That’s my Ruru! Doing an amazing job despite being in love!”
Kaoru couldn’t help but notice how his face was getting warmer than his coffee. He hates it when his friends suddenly start bringing up love if he is the one being talked about.
“Yeah, she’s right. You’re extremely patient holding back your feelings for your crush to have their dreams come true. People should look up to you for that. You’re no even looking desperate. You seem like a completely normal self. Your side that’s fun to be with.”
Stop complimenting him, he’s going to explode with steam because his face is red enough. Te mug was on the table once again and he covered his face with his hands.
“I hope you and Hanako-chan get married and I’ll be your photographer.”
Goddamn it.
“You know what? I hate you guys.”

I wrote something about Kaoru not being his happy self because I saw my drawing of Tame again. It’s pretty long, so it’ll be under read more! Hanako was mentioned in the story, but she didn’t really show up but she belongs to @polar-stars!! I don’t know why I’ve been writing angst lately...
It's been 3 days ever since Kaoru didn't enter the school gates or even the dorm which he called his "home". For only this week, and that was a relief. At least he responded to anyone who tried to contact him through his phone. He was close to graduation, but he started to be pretty busy ever since he decided to open up his previous restaurant again after the popular demand which was caused by his cousin advertising it.
It was surely a busy day, and he felt the urge to check his phone. Maybe something was there- he's been ignoring his phone for the whole day. He walked to the front door of the restaurant before flipping the sign, signalling it was closing time. He placed his right hand in his pocket to take his phone out.
He finally turned it on, and he saw dozens of messages.
"I've listed all the assignments for you."
"Ruru, are you doing okay?"
"Don't stress too much, Kaoru!"
There were several messages, and he kept swiping to see how many people messaged him. A tiny smile came across his face. "24 is a lot of people, I'm quite happy that they care." He was well aware that no one could hear him, but he did have a habit to talk to himself sometimes- or maybe say his thoughts out loud. Typing sounds began, and he was definitely going to reply to each one before he would sleep.
He really did miss seeing their face, and it's only been 3 days. The reason for several customers must be because it opened up again recently. However, he and Dao made a deal that he should at least attend some classes. If he were to miss too much, he could have gotten expelled. That's at least what Dao thought, and she wouldn't want that. His plan was every other week, it would be open. But this would quickly change, since he decided to open it only at night for the next month. He could have done it the whole day, but he was also worried about his possible low grades if he were to miss too much.
Luckily, he was much smarter than everyone thought of him to be. He's a natural genius who can learn things as long as he gave enough focus on it. Back in primary school, he did well in sports. Before you knew it, in high school he was great in music and acting. He studied for his tests, and stayed after classes to make-up for the time he was missing.
Month 1, Second Week... It was going pretty well.
He ran his hand through his hair. "I wonder how Sae is doing without me there. I've never been away from her side this long ever since middle school." He sighed, a bit worried of how his "sister" was. "I'm not even sure if Hanako is having proper rest, I'm a bit worried about her as well." He keeps his phone in his pocket and he stares at the clock hanging above the door.
11:00 pm.
That's right, his restaurant closes up on 10:00. He had to wash the dishes and reply to messages. Maybe it was time for him to sleep...
That's what he thought.
A shadowy figure was behind the door and he ended up questioning why a person was there late at night. He flipped the sign and... why would someone want to eat dinner, where they could be drinking at a bar at this time instead?
He fixes his posture as he eyed the mysterious figure at the door. Was it something to worry about? Most certainly not, if it were a murderer- then why the hell aim for a restaurant owner who barely opened?
He moved in closer before twisting the knob to open the door. "I'm sorry, but this restaurant is closed for tonight. Please come again a-"
"My Kaoru, who knew you would want me to come again!"
He twitched just hearing that voice from the person who he disliked. The person he hated. The person he despised.
"Aconite." He quickly says before a grin starts forming on her face. "I wish I had that flower so I could shove it down your throat."
"There is something else I want sho-"
"Why the hell are you here?" He didn't let her finish, his eyes turning dark as seconds run pass them. "Who told you about this?" People would have wondered who the female was, and why he hated her so much. But he wouldn't know how to explain every detail. All he knew is that every time he caught a glimpse of her, he suddenly wanted to punch a wall. "And what gave you an idea to come across paths with me again?"
"Slow down there, My-"
"Who gave you the right to call me yours?" He hissed and she ended up smirking. If it weren't for the rules of being a "gentleman", he would have punched the woman who dared to show up.
"I'm kidding. But I have to admit, even your mad expression is really alluring." She stuck out her tongue. "I wonder who's the girl who'd end up getting allowed to kiss that face of yours. All I know is that it won't be Seiza~!"
"... Don't say her name." His voice got oddly softer and she ended up cupping his cheeks.
"Oh, honey, still affected by the woman who could have been yours?"
He slapped her hand away, before the expression on his face got more irritated. "No. I'm only upset that she sees me as a whole different person now, and that we may never be friends again because of a woman who's so selfish and takes away anything she wants. No matter who she would hurt."
The girl frowned before she placed her hands behind her back. "You're talking so badly of me. I was asking nicely if you could have been mine."
"I rejected you. Several times. But what can you explain about how ruined your supposedly best friend's confidence and how you took away her trust?"
There was a silence between the two before she laughed out loud. "Oh! You mean Masae!" She twirled her hair between her fingers. "She's currently Miss Butterfly Girl, right? My, my. Come on, it wasn't that bad~! I only showed her that her years of hard work is worthless compared to my dedi-!"
"What the fuck did you just say?" Out of pure anger, he placed his hand on her neck before he gave a firm squeeze. "Her years of hard work meant something. If you call that worthless again, I'll fucking snap your neck."
She began tapping his hand, and he released her. He was glaring daggers at her while she began coughing a bit. "Now, I didn't expect that. You weren't ever this violent." In between in sharp breathing and coughing, she was still able to say something.
"I got closer to Sae recently. I know her more than before. So if you dare insult her once again- I wouldn't even care if I were to be handcuffed and brought to jail. Unless I'm not caught, that is."
She frowned at his response. "You aren't the same Kaoru that Tame-chan knew back then~!"
"While you aren't that innocent girl that I saw you as back then. From Second year until to this day, you're a fucking bitch."
There was a silence between the two, and they were staring at each other for a while. Kaoru's eyes were filled with hate, while Tame only had interest in hers.
"To melt the ice- I will answer your first questions. I'm here because I wanted to see how you are! Secondly, no one did. I only had to find out that you were opening up this very old restaurant, and when I heard Thai Cuisine- I thought of you. How sweet of me, right? Also who gave me the idea? No one! I only wanted to see how much you've changed."
"Bullshit." He retorted before she rolled her eyes.
"See? You don't even believe me! I should have not answered those questions! Hmph!"
He only turned his back on her and he opened the door. "I see no reason to talk to you. Never come back and I hope you fucking burn in hell." He was about to enter the restaurant, but he heard words that actually made him stop on his tracks.
"You're just like your father. Not even looking back after you pained a woman!"
"... I'm nothing like him." He despised his father after he knew what he did to his mother. He was an illegitimate child who caused his mother misery, and his father victory. He used to look up to his father, but the moment he knew what truly happened- he gave up on cooking for a while. This was until second year of middle school where he began cooking again for the sake of his friend, and to make his mother proud. His mother used to be a Thai Chef, and that was the current restaurant he was trying to revive.
"Really now, Chankul?" She stopped calling him by his first name and she enjoyed the reactions his body made. He tensed up, and his fists were balled in anger.
"I don't go by that last name anymore." He tried to control himself, but his stomach turned as soon as she called him by that name. The last name which his father had.
"Really now, Chankul?” She repeated. “You're not different from your father. You both specialize in the same cuisine, you have some violent tendencies now when you're mad, and you're so insensitive. Your father left your mother and he even had the guts to have their only child for himself."
"Shut up."
"And you grew up with him, you're like him. Trust me." A devilish smile soon popped up on Tame's face. "Whoever gets to kiss that face of yours will also end up dying like your mother if you continue being like this."
He had no more response.
He went inside his restaurant and banged the door shut. He quickly locked it, and he began clutching his chest.
Why was he crying? He didn't believe in the words she said, but he felt his chest ache. "Fuck." He muttered before he let out a loud sigh. "Fuck." He said the words again, but there was evident pain in it. Luckily, he heard footsteps moving away from the door until it was completely gone.
The name Chankul, his parents and even him being an illegitimate child was all thrown at him at the same time. It made his heart heavy. He leaned on one of the walls before he slid down. At this moment, he wished he was with a friend. He wanted to be with any of his friends right now. Masae, Dai, Chrsitelle, Hanako, Mea- anyone. But he wasn't in the dorm, and he was nowhere near Totsuki. It was late, he shouldn't randomly call someone on the phone.
He curled up, his sobbing getting louder and he hated how pathetic he was. He shouldn't be crying over those stupid words Tame said, but his mind and heart decided it themselves.
It told him to be upset. Let her get into your head.
He could never cry in front of his friends like this, but he wanted them to see him like this for once. So he could at least talk to someone, ask for reassurance- but he couldn't.
He couldn't.
That night, he didn't have enough energy to stand up and go home. He stayed on the floor, crying because of both anger and sorrow until he ended up getting tired enough to sleep through it. Sadly, the same night he slept on the floor is the same night he had some nightmares.
He didn't want to look back at the past.
