✨ EDMON RAMPART (Amalthia's Version) ✨ You know I once swore to never draw him, well that was of course before he got the James Norrington treatment so it's the Alexsandr Kallus Effect for me again. Talk about from fuck this man to I wanna fuck this man.
Teeny weeny fandom salt and salt in general coming up so if you don't like that, you can go scroll down. There used to be a cut here but I removed it. I will always be polite, but I know WHEN to talk.
From now on, I will be calling my fanart "Amalthia's version". I hope I don't come across as tone deaf or insensitive about this, but I wish I was good at art.
I've seen posts that say "I wish artists would stop drawing [character name] with [this] or [that]" or "stop drawing [character] with [this]". While it's great to hear about your preferences, please bear in mind that at the end of the day, fanart CAN BE an artist's take on a character. For me, THIS is how I draw Edmon Rampart. This is with regard to the art style I developed and the color palette that I constantly use to keep up with my blog's theme.
Another ick is an ongoing issue in the TBB fandom. In my Hunter and Omega art, I did something I don't usually do, which is add a secondary light source. A few minutes after posting, I got an anon telling me to unwhitewash the characters. I immediately messaged one of my friends for their honest opinion and they said I don't whitewash the characters. I went on to the drawing file and tried to study my own drawing and see if I really did whitewashed the characters. Edit: There really are some artists who whitewash the characters and I was trying to do a SELF-CHECK bec maybe I'm one of them.
I found out that the thing that made the difference is the secondary light source that I added. This secondary light source is lighter in color than their skin, and it created the Contrast Effect. Due to the nature of the human eye and visual processing by the brain, there's an optical illusion that the same color will look different depending on the color beside it and/or the background. It's in psychology class, paying attention would help.
In addition to the secondary light, it could also be the brown background color that caused this effect. And before anyone goes, "are you sure?" Yes, I am. I sat with a Psychology major to discuss about this whole Contract Effect thing.
This does not only apply in colors, it could also be to objects, that why they say all things are relative. One thing could appear bigger or smaller depending upon the object beside it. One of the things they 'check' to see if a certain artist whitewashed a character is the size of the nose. Once again, please do apply Contrast Effect. Some artist really draw their characters stick-like so try to compare all the noses they had drawn in their entire lifetimes and maybe, just maybe they did draw the noses wide in comparison to their other artworks, it just looks like that because it's part of their art style.
Edit: Please do try to analyze things first before casting down your judgement.
It's so difficult to be an artist AND IN THIS FANDOM. We never seem to be enough. If we do the character with artistic freedom, you'll say "stop drawing them like that bec they don't have that in the show" and when we try to draw them as close to the show, you'll say "unwhitewash the characters". We are never good enough for you.
So yeah, I wish I was good at this.

CW: Nazism, TribeTwelve.
I do not support or glorify Nazis and I do not condone the atrocious things they've done. I am telling the truth and I have no reason to fabricate this, I swear on my granny's grave. If you've been following me on Instagram, you know this. Also I do not support Adam Rosner.
To everyone I have hurt and made angry because of my latest posts, (which I deleted) I'm sorry. It was insensitive of me and I should have realized that sooner and thought twice before posting such stuff. I hope that this post will help calm things down, if not completely resolve them. I am not asking for any forgiveness, I just want you to understand and realize that those posts do not reflect who I am as a person, and I want to explain everything and clarify that those posts were not supposed to glorify, romanticize or sexualize Nazism, they were only meant to show the (atleast original) lore of one particular character in this fandom.
HABIT's character and the Slenderverse/WW2 lore connection:
The Slenderverse lore is heavily connected to WW2, at least in EMH, T12 and DH00. I admit I knew the EMH creators debunked/retconned the HABIT/Nazi lore before, but I totally forgot about it since I hadn't been active in this fandom for a while and I can't remember everything. But either way, it was still part of the lore anyway and many people still consider it canon. Hear me out. The whole point of HABIT's character is that he's not just some silly, sexy, evil murder wolf demon (or whatever the fuck he is), he's an irredeemable monster, a literal embodiment of mankind’s evil actions, which (atleast originally) included Nazism aswell. If you've seen Steph's Canyouseetheworld blog, you know exactly what I'm talking about and the horrendous, inhumane things he's capable of doing and saying.
The Brandit post: (or whatever the ship is called)
You can skip this part, if you’ve watched TribeTwelve.
(((I admit I do ship HABIT x Firebrand/Noah, but I am also aware that all HABIT ships are toxic, abusive, and ridiculous, let's be honest.. However, I think this ship is one of the least toxic, not only because HABIT helped Firebrand escape from The Collective, but also because Noah is one of the few, if not the only person, HABIT didn't want to kill, which is unusual for him. And also the patience and huge amount of nerves HABIT has towards Noah is intriguing. We know what Noah’s like, how stubborn and stupid he is and sometimes you want to punch him in the face, which miraculously HABIT haven't done. And we never got to know the reason or motivation behind HABIT's actions of helping Noah/Firebrand but I guess we will never know.. Either way, I do not ship them romantically, that would be ridiculous.)))
Anyway, let's talk about the post where HABIT said to Firebrand, and I quote: ''LET'S FUCK AND PISS OFF OUR ANCESTORS.'' With Firebrand's response: ''HABIT, what the actual fuck, ya absolute disgrace.''
I admit, this was really horrid and I understand why people were so angry over this. Drawing the little symbols next to them was fucked up and insensitive and made it look like I was sexualizing a Jew with a Nazi, also with a mention of the past (WW2), which was very disrespectful towards the Holocaust and the actors as well. But. That was not my intention or the point of it. It was not meant to be sexualized. The point was to show HABIT’s natural fucked up behavior and sick humor. That's it. And the post was not meant to be taken seriously anyway. No? HABIT wouldn't fuck Firebrand, whether he's Jewish or not. It was meant to be a joke, a very bad one, but I'm aware of it now. Perhaps my humor is just broken sometimes. I hope it's all clear now. I should have realized this sooner, added a CW and explanation, or rather not posted it at all. Again, I am sorry for all of this and I hope we can all move on. I will be more mindful and responsible in the future.

Hello. I ❤️ your blog especially your science kids. May I see where one of them calls Marinette out like how Quagmire does it. Sorry for the awkwardness. This is my first time typing to somebody. 😊😊
Yes, honey! Yes! I have been waiting for this!
Simon, my favorite Irish tech geek, take the stand!
Marinette: Well, you don't need to look for somebody new. I'll hang out with you guys.
Marc: Yeah, you know, I don't think that's gonna work out, Marinette, 'cause of the whole Simon thing.
Marinette: What Simon thing?
Marc: Oh, you know, just that he hates you.
Marinette: Simon hates me?
Marc: Hates you.
Marinette: I... I don't get it. Why... why wouldn't Simon like me?
Marc: Because he thinks you're annoying. Like people who never shut up about their pets.
—
Marinette: Hey, Simon, what a coincidence. You and me just runnin' into each other. How, how ya doin'?
Simon: Fine.
Marinette: So… *Noticed Simon’s aunt at the checkout* Is that your mom? She’s beautiful.
Simon: That's my aunt, Marinette. My mother is dead to me, as is my father, and I hope they rot in their prison cells.
Marinette: Oh, God. I'm... I'm really sorry.
Simon: I got a cousin who beat her husband. Wanna ask me about her, too?
—
Alya: Hey, what are you getting all dressed up for?
Marinette: I'm treating Simon to a night out.
Alix: Really? I thought he hated you. How'd you convince him to go?
Marinette: I tricked him. Sent him a phony card. He thinks he's going on a romantic date with Denise.
Myléne: But instead, you're going to show up.
Marinette: You got it.
Rose: Yikes.
Juleka: That's a recipe for disappointment.
—
Marinette: I'll bet you got... how do those things work?
Simon: What? My music videos? How does a music video work?
Marinette: Yeah.
Simon: … You want me to sit here and explain to you how a music video works?
Marinette: I don't know. Yeah.
Simon: You want to maybe just go?
Marinette: Simon, come on, I'm really trying hard here.
Simon: Who asked you to try hard?
Marinette: Nobody, but all... I'm trying to establish a friendship with you. All I've done is try to be nice to you, and you still don't like me. How can you not like me?!
Simon: … Okay. I'll tell you…. You are the worst person I know. You simped after Adrien while you were dating Luka and while Adrien was dating Kagami. The guy was writing you a song, gave you his favorite guitar pick, gave you free therapy, and that was how you repaid him? And to add insult to injury, you rubbed your love for Adrien right in his face. And you're so insensitive. You basically tried to kick Luka out of Kitty Section and make Adrien the lead guitarist? What the fuck? And what really bothers me, is you pretend you're this perfect girl who can do no wrong when all you are is a hypocrite, liar, and a word that’d make the Priest blush. Yeah, I lie; who hasn’t? At least I come clean about it in the end. I don't go on about how I hate liars and then stalk Lila trying to lie her way into Adrien’s pants, and then brag about how I’m some perfect angel trying to look out for everyone. You’re not a perfect angel. You’re a spoiled little, manipulative brat. You use those stupid dough eyes, tears, and sob stories about how much you love Adrien to get people to go along with your stupid plans. God, you make me sick! And you only delude yourself by thinking you're the greatest thing since slice bread, when you’re honestly just as bad as Chloé and Lila. Actually, you know, I should have known Denise didn't write me that note. Yeah, they actually have the guts to say things to my face without stammering like you do around Adrien when you’ve known the guy for almost a year! And I think what I hate most about you is your hypocrisy when it comes to Adrien’s love life, how he "deserves better," how Chloé is a spoiled brat only after Adrien for his looks, how Kagami is too controlling. Well, what have you done to prove that you’re not like them? I’ve only heard you obsess over his looks and “perfection.” Never heard you once talk about interests that Gabriel doesn’t force on him. You wanna get to know the guy? Talk to him! And, by the way, knowing Lila is a liar doesn't make you Jesus Christ. Yeah, I know about the Lila situation! And I don’t care! You wanna basically ruin your relationships with your friends by screaming in their faces, “Lila’s a liar!! Believe me, because I’m better than her!” Go ahead! Who the hell are you to act as if though you were in the right? Your impulsiveness in trying to expose her got you expelled, which isn't nearly as bad as how you treated your parents! Did you ever pay them back for what was meant to be a family trip to Shanghai? But you know what? I could forgive all of that, all of it… If you weren't such a bore. That's the worst of it, Marinette. You're just a sad, pathetic bore… *Sighs* Well, see ya, Marinette. Thanks for the fucking steak. *Leaves*

I'm sure you're entirely sick of talking about this bc that initial anon was... dumb as hell and I too would like to forget about it if I were you lol, so feel free to ignore this ask!! but I just wanted to throw in my two cents as a fellow non-white non-American fantasy writer. cause fantasy as a genre is so insanely whitewashed, and even in settings like TES that have multiple different fantasy-cultures that are meant to draw inspiration from lots of different real-world-cultures, they tend to be shallow and lacking and let's be real, TES isn't getting any awards for being politically correct. I for one always get insanely hyped when I see more diverse takes on fantasy, whether thats in original fiction or fanfiction, cause 1) it just vastly improves the quality of the world building and 2) it creates more welcoming spaces for other bipoc to create more cool stuff. and also, it's just fun as hell to project your own culture into dope fantasy settings. I do it all the time and I fuckin love when other people do it.
I feel like that anon was just looking for a fight and intentionally trying to interpret your comment in the most bad faith way possible (classic tesblr behavior ngl). and like I get it, orientalism sucks ass, but I've followed you for a couple years now and I've only ever known you to be a super chill, super respectful person who (like I said before) creates a welcoming space for other bipoc in the fandom.
tldr: anon is a clown, representation is fun, your blog slaps
❤ from @reachfolk
Yes yes YES I could hug you! Inclusivity and breaking away from whitewashed fantasy is one of my main goals with this blog! My recipes and worldbuilding have me neck deep in exploring global cuisine and culture, but as soon as it's a picture then people go off about cultural insensitivity. Because reading comprehension is low here so most people barely glance at the worldbuilding posts.
Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s, as far as Asian actors in Hollywood went, you had Lucy Liu and Jackie Chan. There was that show about Imperial Chinese cats called Sagwa (傻瓜 shagua literally means "dumb melon" which is what you call a certified idiot). Mulan (forever my favourite). Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon? But that's it. Seeing Michelle Yeoh winning everything recently makes me feel proud to be Asian. I cried when I saw Over the Moon.
If just ONE person looks at this blog and goes "cool, I learned something" or "cool, my culture is being recognised and represented as a form of inspiration", then I have done something right. Other Chinese/East Asian people in the past have applauded me for bucking the western "Asian" stereotype, simply because I express my love for my culture differently.
I'm no less Chinese for being fluent in English (which is actually my mother tongue btw thanks colonialism), or being a goth, or an author who happens to be atrocious at math. I just am. And I want everyone to just be too. To embrace their otherness, to rejoice in the diversity of the human experience, and to learn to live together. And most of all, I wanna see more awareness in writing (especially fantasy) about non-Global North cultures and the people who represent them. I'm sick of being a media cliché.
If you're a POC and you're looking for your sign to delve into fantasy worldbuilding, this is it. Go write. Create. Destroy. Build the world you've always wanted to see through the lens of your heritage, use your history as a lesson, use your language as a weapon. ~Tal

I haven't watched the SU video since I don't wanna needlessly make myself mad, what's this about antisemitism in that video?
it's basically the entire thesis of that video that Sugar, by trying to make a show about the potential of people to change for the better and the ability to forgive, actually made a show about forgiving nazis/fascist/abusers. the antisemitism comes from LO going out of her way to link this show to nazis, even though the creator is a jewish non binary woman whose ancestors survived the Holocaust and the main character, Steven, is based on her brother, so another jewish person. despite how many times people have tried to tell her that was too far and she shouldn't insist on that throughout the years, as it was insensitive, distasteful, and more importantly, just wrong, LO has done nothing but double, triple down and cuadruple down. "Sugar is a nazi sympathizer"/"Steven Ubersnmech" are common phrases that you can find on her blog.
having a bad take about a show is one thing, but ever since making that video LO has acted as if her interpretation "Sugar is a nazi sympathizer/her show promotes people sympathizing with nazis" is the only possible conclusion anyone can take when looking at the show critically and if you don't agree with her, it's because you aren't being critical at all. in fact, you must be actively refusing to be critical if you don't agree with her. that's why whenever people criticize her antisemitism on that instance, she keeps insisting that's fans mad at her for not liking the "sympathize with nazis show". whenever she has talked about this she frames it as it was Sugar's fault that she ever came to that conclusion, that she only pointed out the obvious, rather than her making a rather extreme interpretation that, to this day, only she has. if you look for other SU critical videos on youtube, nobody else has this particular reading. nobody else, not even other SU critical people, is as desperate to link this show back to nazis specifically as LO is. i think we could both agree that this is less because LO is a especially good critic with the enough integrity and bravery to call out a truly harmful piece of media, that no one other can match... and more to do with her having this parasocial beef with a person who most likely doesn't even know she exist. me, personally, i don't even like SU that much. there are things i enjoy about it, but i'd hardly say that it's my favorite show. however, i can easily recognize that whatever issue LO has with the show or Sugar has long stopped about being critical and has deteriorated on using this jewish queer non binary woman as a punching bag for years. from denying that the music has any melody (?), to insulting her jewish hair, dismissing all the recognition that her work has, up until arguing with actual Jewish people about whether or not the Jewish creator might have let her Judaism to influence her show, LO has done nothing to combat the antisemite allegations.

can i ask why people in the fandom seem to really dislike mishka? (censoring her name and such) this is not meant in an offensive way to you or to anyone else, i’m just new here and kind of confused. like did she do something legitimately wrong or are people just irked by the writing of the new book? hope you have a great day <3
OH yeah sorry i can definitely see how that's confusing to new people LMAO
so, it's a bit of both imo – i've been here since 2020, shortly after book 2 dropped, so my perspective is a lot different than newer fans
so, one of the reasons i censor her name, is because tumblr changed the search functions – used to be, when you looked up something, it was only things that were in that exact word order in a tag – so if you spelled t/w/c wrong in some way, it'd only show up results that were misspelled, if that makes sense
but now, it's like if you look up any word, random posts that mention it anywhere in the post will show up too – and i would rather not open myself up to the m*shka bootlickers bc i just do not have time for that LMFAO
i rarely maintag things these days because i just don't want to be perceived by so much of this fandom, but that's just a me thing
also, in terms of what she did "wrong"... on top of problematic stuff in text, there's a few things i can think of off the top of my head:
encouraging white/washed art by reblogging on to her dev blog while knowingly having the official skintone palette locked behind a paywall (patreon)
when called out for the above, they did vet their pieces i guess – by only reblogging black and white pieces, and art of detectives. then they stopped reblogging art completely
posting a white hand for a morgan instagram edit – and taking hours to delete the harassment in the replies, some of which being actually racist comments with slurs pointed at black people
in a q&a video, referred to m as an "attack dog", which was super insensitive, considering the consistent comparison of m to an animal across all platforms (text, tumblr posts, patreon content)
her treatment of f over the years, both in text and outside of it. her asks were a huge reason that the fandom has an infantilized view of f and they don't even consider them to be a love interest (much less one that gets physically intimate). they see them as a child. this bullet point is a massive one that would take too long to explain. i could probably write an essay on how problematic it is to immediately "other" your singular black character by literally making them an otherworldly alien, but i do not have the time
how she writes nb/trans characters. from what my friends have said who code dive, they get the same dialogue and variants that women do. obviously if you don't code dive or play with nb characters you probably wouldn't notice, but there are a good chunk of people in the fandom who play with nb oc's so... this is something that should be better, but it's not
to add to the above, she said she was getting sensitivity readers but... did they do anything? look at book 3 and tell me if they actually did anything (i have a feeling maybe those sensitivity readers were white queer people)
overall, it's very hard to explain and condense the fuckery my mutuals and i have seen both m*shka do over the years, and what her fans have let slide/incidents they've coddled her up during.
sadly, she doesn't take hard stances on things. she just lets things happen and that just. doesn't bode well if your argument for all these mistakes is "ignorance". if she's getting 10k a month on patreon plus sales (not to mention the fact she's a grown ass woman), then... it's the bare minimum to ask for her to be mindful of her audience and to do better.
and also book 3 sucks xoxo
#the last line was a joke btw i just thought it'd be funny LMAO#TY FOR THE ASK I HOPE U HAVE A GREAT DAY TOO <3#i know i have other asks to get to but i jumped at this one bc i should probably clarify this for anyone following me LMAO#but yeah all in all it feels like the fandom is back at square one bc of rampant whitewashing#no im not tagging this as fandom critical this is m*shka critical#also i'm not linking receipts or anything bc it's exhausting – ask anyone and they can tell u im not lying#IF THERE'S ANYTHING ELSE I MISSED SOUND OFF IN THE COMMENTS HATERS <3333333#asks

i swear i love harrow so much!!!🥺💖
really fic writers in general cuz it seems the WANT to be inclusive just comes natural and we aren’t constantly running some editor or publisher ragged with them having to pull us to the side and explain how not to be insensitive.
i’ve literally read more fanfics that handled diversity better than published books.
nobody is here to catch all your mistakes for you, so you can’t just write willy nilly and toss it to someone to check -which even still these mainstream authors seem like they like to keep offensive shit in as a gotcha to show that they can get away with it.
like we have beta readers and sensitivity readers but even still a lot of us do extensive research before we even think about giving it to our friends as it could end up triggering them too. they’re not getting paid to do that for you and even if they were -unless you’re trying to be offensive- that’s messed up.
i will say indie publishers who’s main focus are BIPOC and 2slgbtqia+ themes seem to do better.
okay…
so im bout to get real personal😭
~~~~~
uh~ this is probably the most vulnerable imma get on here
so lmao not me being the dripper. i’ve had this “problem” my whole life.
like is that not a common pussy haver function?😭
i know some people have lubrication disorders but for the people that don’t, there are still levels to this shit?
i didn’t know that; i just thought its either very minimal like with a disorder or “commonly” dripping wet when pushed to peak arousal.
like even not aroused i stay like that😭 i just thought all my friends just had their hygiene down pack. like having wet panties was seen as gross, so i always felt bad cuz i didn’t know what to do. i just thought everybody was keeping a secret from me. so i gave up. but from looking at this, i’ve been alright.
i’m learning stuff today -granted i’ve only had a cooch for 20 years and am a raging virgin😭
but it does seem only recently that media expressed a likes it for it but only then i don’t think people would like the reality of it cuz its not odorless or even always thin and watery.
i put the drip in all my fics-
and now as i type this, i just realized why i don’t see it much in porn -even amateur. thats part of the reason i started writing cuz i was looking for the drip and thick white slick? grool?😭
i was lowkey scared to be intimate because of my partner not wanting to do it raw or perform oral.
i write cuz i just wanted to be able to read where a guy wasn’t grossed out. like men will say one thing but the minute they see, it they get mean. even some women and enbies. (literally been called a snot puss; cried so bad)
that’s probably why it gives ppl the ick cuz we haven’t had much exposure. so much of what we know about sex is still very sanitized even porn. like we have no problem with cum but it may be that having a viscous liquid come out of you is seen as intrinsically male -this is purposely excluding trans men as they’re not thought of when discussing a male centric society- therefore nasty/unnatural for cis women -using societal “norms”. Its could explain why a lot of omegaverse is mlm cuz even then slick is afforded to them in these spaces. like yeah many writers use slick to describe the vagina but most likely when you mention just the term, the first thought is omegaverse with mlm pairings.
anyway…
do i need to put a warning for dripping now?/gen
imma keep writing it since it seems to need more rep but like damn i guess i’m the dripped out creamy pussy fic blog now
finna do it for my brethern✊🏾
Hello, fanfic mother. I want to preface that this is not a complaint or a dig in any way, just curious, since you write very believable and relatable characters. Is there a reason everyone is well-endowed? Like, everyone has a nice big dick, everyone's vaginas get nice and wet (but they don't drip which I appreciate because honestly that sometimes gives me the ick to read...do people really drip?) Just curious for a little insider baseball but also I love everything you write and I have zero complaints!
ANON, HELLO!!! 🥰
sorry, this has sat in my inbox for a second, i was in a Collateral hole, but i am super happy to explain!!! (also thank you for reading and enjoying the fics, that means a lot to me!!!)
the biggest reason i don't write anyone less than average in size is...ok, well. here are two reasons. i hesitate to highlight a smaller size and do it wrong/make someone feel badly, if that makes sense.(my readers are not just cishetwomen.) i could also just...write it and not really comment on it, and it's no big deal and we do the smut...
(i have actually been wanting to do more average-sized dicks, and i am writing a character right now who takes a little while to get wet/cum because i would like to make authentic characters.)
i also worry that people reading fanfic for the fantasy aspect will like it less, which is a silly reason because i should be writing what is in my heart and not worry about the numbers, but, at the end of the day, fear of rejection holds me back a lot.
(as for whether people drip when simply aroused, which is how i interpret this,.................i have no idea lmao. i have talked with fanfic friends about how it gives me the ick, too. WHICH IS NOT TO DISCOURAGE ANYONE WHO LIKES TO WRITE IT. PLEASE NEVER CHANGE. it will always make me giggle, tho. if people DO drip then wow that's very good and good for them, genuinely i am super happy for them. i require a lot of hands-on help to get to that point.)
PAABITB had gone radio silent for a while and part of me hoped that she actually changed and was starting to do better, but she seems to have come back exactly the way she was, so I guess she must've just found a more private outlet to spew her toxicity, most likely with like-minded fandom scum who's just as bad as her.
Yeah, not only has been more active on her private Twitter and Tumblr from what my followers say, but it turns out that now, she’s uploading videos to YouTube lecturing the fandom on how to act. In fact, she uploaded one almost two weeks ago. Let’s go over it, shall we?
And before any of you act like I’m the one stalking her, just know that she still follows my blog while I’m still blocked from directly responding to her.
Also, she’s still smeared me in the past, in addition to some of the more prominent users in the Miraculous Ladybug fandom.
So yeah, if she can act like the fandom police to other users, I don’t see why I can’t give PAABITB a taste of her own medicine. Ready for a thorough rebuttal to her latest attack on the fandom from yours truly?
“Alright, we need to talk, Miraculous fandom. I get it. I seriously do. At one point, we were all naive, oblivious, and unaware of what we hated or liked. But honestly? How some of you deny or say Adrigami doesn’t work, but think Marigami works is insensitive and disgusting.”
Oh my God, people are shipping different characters together? That’s the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen!
How many times are you going to say that it’s perfectly okay to belittle other people for their different views regarding ships while you keep acting like anyone who doesn’t ship Adrigami is a terrible human being?
“Seriously. I’m sick and tired of this. I’m seriously sick and tired of this. Not to mention you believe what the show writers tell you. You fall into their brainwashing, and look where it gets you: Nowhere.”
“Brainwashing”? What, do you think Mr. Big is in charge of broadcasting the show? Do you think anyone who doesn’t ship the Love Square is kidnapped by ZAG employees and is subjected to the same kind of torture Winston got in 1984?
No matter what you think of the writing of the show, whether you think it’s getting better or worse, I wouldn’t say they’re actually trying to “brainwash” viewers. Yes, a recurring problem is the way they try to act like certain plot elements have always been there (Ladybug mistreating Cat Noir, Marinette not being in love with Luka, Adrien and Marinette being best friends, Marinette giving Adrien a lot of advice), but I don’t think “brainwashing” is the best way to describe it.
And so what if some people still enjoy the show? It wouldn’t have five seasons if nobody liked it, wouldn’t it? The main idea behind the “Miraculous Ladybug salt” tag is so that people who are more critical about the show can discuss it without upsetting anyone who has a more positive outlook on it, because even some of the biggest salters know that not everyone can share the same opinion.
I don’t think I can speak for everyone else, but I wouldn’t call anyone who still enjoys the show “brainwashed”.
“Stop believing in them. They are not going to do anything good, and when they do, they always find a way to make it about someone that it’s not about them. You have an Adrigami episode back in Season 4, ‘Lies‘; somehow make it about Marinette because of that stupid lucky charm. Not only is that insensitive to Adrigami shippers, it’s insensitive to people who enjoy Adrien’s character.”
How the hell was Marinette the reason Adrien and Kagami broke up?
The lucky charm in the episode wasn’t important because Marinette made it. The whole point of the charm was that Adrien lied about losing it, and Kagami realized it when she had it. Adrien had to lie about losing the charm in order to come up with an excuse to fight an Akuma as Cat Noir, and as far as Kagami sees it, he’s just coming up with excuses not to spend time with her for more selfish reasons. If Adrien said he lost his wallet when Kagami saw it on the ground, the context for the situation wouldn’t change at all.
“I don’t know why you believe in the show writers doing well, but you need to break out of that shell of reluctance, and actually stand up, break out, and tell the show writers off, or at least, admit they aren’t good at writing.”
“Why can’t anyone who enjoys Miraculous Ladybug admit the writers are terrible at their jobs?” - You.
Again, I know that I see the show in a different way than a lot of the other fans online, but I don’t let my problems with the show prevent others from enjoying it. The “Miraculous Ladybug salt” tag exists for a reason.
“Because I am sick and tired of Adrigami being slandered and Marigami taking over. I’m all for gay ships, but Marigami? No. After how Marinette treated Kagami in the past, just no.”
I’m not really sure what that has to do with the writers, seeing how Adrigami isn’t mentioned at all after “Mr. Pigeon 72”, and there isn’t any real teasing for Kagami being in love with Marinette.
Also, you’re acting like Marinette still hates Kagami with a burning passion, when you forgot that Marinette felt bad about how she treated Kagami in the past after learning how she had no friends (Ikari Gozen), and even tried to get her back together with Adrien when she learned they broke up (Mr. Pigeon 72).
“And another thing; I’m really freaking sick and tired of how people say ‘Oh, the Kwamis are aroace’. That was never confirmed. All Tikki said is ‘Kwamis don’t fall in love’. She didn’t say they can’t fall in love. Maybe you don’t project or jump to conclusions so quickly, because the show writers are not good at what they do.”
Are... Are you really in a position to say that? What does that even have to do with the writers?
Again, what’s wrong with people headcanoning Tikki and Plagg as aroace? Is it because you ship the two? Because newsflash, people can have different opinions on certain characters when it comes to romance and shipping.
“I haven’t seen a show fall this badly since... Well, I would say Star vs., but honestly, Fairly OddParents kind of fell off when they decided not to do something that easily could have been done, but besides that.”
You mean not introduce a bunch of pointless new characters to boost ratings? Not make three movies starring Drake Bell? Not make a live-action reboot that’s somehow worse than the aforementioned movies starring Drake Bell? Let me know when I’m getting warmer.
“Adrien could be better off with anyone that’s not Marinette, at least in the canon show: Kagami, Zoe Lee, Chloe (if we go from Season 2), Lila (if we go from Season 1, kind of), Wayhem, Nino, Luka, anyone around his age who actually interacts with him only a little bit. And yet, it’s still more cuter than when Marinette’s like ‘Oh, Adrien. Let’s have a frickin future with three kids and a hamster’.”
Okay, let me get this straight. You’re so against Marinette that not only are you unwilling to forgive her actions in canon, you think that Chloe and Lila, two people who have violated Adrien’s personal boundaries, would be better for Adrien than Marinette, as well as Wayhem, a crazed stalker who is arguably more obsessed with Adrien than Marinette is?
Yes, Marinette’s behavior regarding Adrien is unhealthy, and yes, it needs to be addressed more, but if you’re so against how Marinette treats Adrien, then why are you okay with the way Chloe, Lila, and Wayhem treat Adrien when they all can be just as bad, if not worse in some areas?
“Just understand this: If you think Kagami’s character got better because she became softer towards Marinette, you don’t appreciate what strictness and bluntness are, and probably might be a bit of a pushover, and need to learn to stand up for yourself.”
Wow, you’re really just going to go out on a limb and belittle anyone who actually likes the idea of Kagami and Marinette becoming friends, aren’t you?
Are you sure you actually appreciate Kagami’s blunt nature because of how it fit her personality, or because said bluntness just so happened to be directed towards Marinette in Seasons 2 and 3? What about in “Lies”, when she was “blunt” and “strict” about how upset she was with Adrien when she dumped him. And yes, for someone who hates what Marinette does in canon, you seem to forget that canonically, Kagami dumped Adrien.
“However, if you are in a difficult situation with a family who doesn’t understand the best of your frustrations, you probably should take your time before confronting the problem. Never confront the problem if you don’t know what to do. I learned that the hard way as a kid, I really did.”
Oh my God, just say the rules don’t apply to Adrien already. We all know that’s why you said that after supposedly calling Kagaminette shippers “pushovers”, because you’re aware of how Adrien rarely stands up to his father, and don’t want to look like a hypocrite... Well, more of a hypocrite than you already are.
“Just to say it, I don’t hate Chloe, and I don’t hate Zoe. I believe in what Deneen Melody said about them being like sisters.”
Not sure what that has to do with Kagaminette, the Kwamis being aroace, or Kagami’s “bluntness”, but I find it funny that you’re willing to drag Marinette for her canon actions, yet don’t hold Chloe responsible for her actions. I’m a huge advocate for Chloe redemption, and even I don’t defend the stuff she did after Season 3.
“So yeah, stop hating on characters who don’t deserve to be hated, and stop shipping things that shouldn’t be shipped.”
Mind defining what warrants hating a character in your eyes, besides being named Marinette Dupain-Cheng? And outside of incest or pedophilia, can you please explain why there are ships that shouldn’t be shipped?
Oh wait, I get it now! You’re saying that you want people to like the same characters you like, hate the same characters you hate, ship the same ships you ship, and hate the same ships you don’t hate! I cracked the case!
I know this might sound like a major revelation, but it’s entirely possible for people to have different opinions and still get along, especially when it comes to fandom stuff. You seriously think you can police the fandom and shame them into going along with your views because you say so?
Whenever I talk about Miraculous Ladybug, while I make my views clear in my posts, I always try to make sure other people can chime in through asks and give their own opinions, because that is how we as a society express our individuality. The whole reason I started this blog in the first place was to call out Astruc for telling us to view the show in certain way. For someone who thinks we shouldn’t respect the writers at all (something I haven’t even said once, by the way), how does that make you any better?
And if you think I’m wrong, prove it. Unblock me and try to back up your claims here, so we can both talk about this like adults. I’m willing to at least try and hear you out after everything you’ve said in the past.
Hey captn! I love your blog and all the naruto manga discussions so much!!! I just wanted to ask how long does it take for you to make them? Since most of them are long and detailed i bet it takes quite a while
Also, do you just remember panels and chapters or do you have some sort of method on finding specific panels?
Much love 🧡💙🧡💙🧡
Thanks @bibobitchh 😊😊
I just wanted to ask how long does it take for you to make them? Since most of them are long and detailed i bet it takes quite a while
It takes anywhere between 30 minutes to 4 hours or sometimes even more. It totally depends on my ability to formulate a convincing Answer for myself and for the Anon.
Sometimes I knew the answer the moment I read the ask... Those asks take 30 minutes irrespective of the length.
Sometimes I have multiple ways to write a single answer, but I spend time to figure out as to which way I can answer so that my opinions reach out in a better way. Should I go for a comparative way??? Or an aggressive way??? Or sarcastic way??? Or analytic way???... These kind of asks take 2 hours easily.
Sometimes I know the answer in a single word. But I struggle to find the right points and words to convey in a convincing way. In those cases, I spend more time to research. For example, In this ask, the Anon gives a statement and asking me to justify it.
Shikamaru's revenge was encouraged whereas Sasuke's revenge was discouraged. Konoha/Kakashi was unfair.
Honestly, when I received this ask, all I know was SASUKE'S REVENGE SHOULD BE DISCOURAGED NO MATTER WHAT. But dammmnnnn, I don't know how to convincingly bring forth my point. The only point I had was Shikamaru was calm and composed while avenging Asuma whereas Sasuke was obsessed.
But This point alone is so shallow and it invites cringy pain olympics from rabid Sasuke stans like, "Shikamaru lost just his sensei... Whereas Sasuke lost his entire clan so it's very reasonable for Sasuke to be obsessed about it".
Thankfully, one of my mutual gave me a right push by showing this panel
(A panel which shows how Kakashi was once supportive of Sasuke's revenge until he didn’t)
and then slowly everything started to fall into place...
So, Asks like this probably took 7+ hours. Not in a single day but collectively speaking.
And then comes the Controversial Asks... AKA Uchiha Clan related ones and Sasuke exclusive asks... Phewww!!! The thing is, I know the answer right away including the Panels I have to attach for making my point... But I put a lot of effort in these ones so that it won't end up as a Mockery or Insensitive or Blunt. Fact Checking, Rough Drafting, Editing, Proof Reading takes most of the time... Like half a day (8 hrs).
So, yeah... The time to write any answer varies depends on my Point making ability.
Also, do you just remember panels and chapters or do you have some sort of method on finding specific panels?
Initially I knew nothing about ‘Which panels comes in Which chapter’. So, I started to keep a pointer randomly. Like, Chapter 500 is where the Flashback about Naruto’s birth begins. Chapter 306 is where Sasuke makes his First appearance in Part 2. Chapter 619 is where Sasuke meets all the Hokages. Chapter 218 is where VoTE1 starts.
Based on this pointer, I could predict where a particular scene falls into. For example, Bridge scene happens right before Naruto’s flashback, so it must be somewhere after Chapter 450 and before Chapter 500.
That’s how I started.
Then I eventually got familiar with all the important chapters since I was trying to hunt a perfect panel for some ask which forces me to read irrelevant chapters as well. By doing this, I accidentally get panels for other pending asks too. That’s when I realized, Most of the so-called popular opinions which bashes Kishimoto’s writing is totally baseless... Because his art has an answer for almost everything. It’s just that people were extremely obsessed with their own opinion without looking for the Answer/Panel from the source material and end up blaming the Author. And my another realization was how fake N@rusaku was throughout the Manga as opposed to how it was portrayed in the Anime.
Anyways, the more I started to write about Naruto, the more I got comfortable with locating panels. There’s no specific method behind this really.
Yes, this is a writing blog, but I think it is important we discuss this for a hot second. J.K Rowling is trending again, so I’m taking my opportunity to throw my coin in here.
For those of you who don’t look on twitter or are still blind to the whole J.K Rowling debacle: Rowling has made several (I dare say 90% of her tweets) comments about trans people, expressing her transphobia towards them, more specifically the fact that “If trans people are real, lesbian are disappearing.” (For you information: there is zero lesbian representation in any of her books. She’s just trying to get people to support her, which obviously isn’t going to happen but she’s stupid so okay.)
I have a lot of things to say about this woman, but let’s start with these tweets: ^^
The fact that she thinks the death threats and other negative comments she gets from the LGBTQ+ community only shows how terrible trans people are, is insane beyond words. The shit she has said about this community, now again in her latest tweet (down this post), is - plainly said - stupid, cruel, insensitive and all together uncalled for. This woman - who keeps talking about how she’s an activist - is actively bullying trans people, including trans kids who truly looked up to the wizarding world. I am not one for justifying death threats, and in now way am I doing that now, but so many trans people have killed themselves because of unsupportive others. As an author who struggled with suicidal thoughts herself, you’d think Rowling would do anything to support her readers, but she doesn’t. The death threats are uncalled for, but sis got to switch up her attitude real quick.
I have left the wizarding world behind me a long time ago, but this woman just seems to be calling all attention to her again. My move on what we do with her? Report her. Just like we did with Trump. Ban her from using Twitter. What she does is legally considered bullying and depreciating others and is a reason to get kicked off of Twitter. Don’t try to tell her shit because apparently it only fuels her to write more. Now I understand that the “be better” thing is all a bunch of bullshit and that what this woman has done is completely unjustifiable and does not call for a “bigger person” but show her that what she is doing is so insanely stupid by kicking her off of Twitter and not sending her more death threats (she has enough to build her second house with the moment she ends up homeless because of her dead career, come on guys.)
Just a quick fyi, this is not your call to hate on the actors who played in the Harry Potter movies. @when-in-doubt-be-gay made a magnificent post with quotes from a few cast members, and they should not be overlooked.
Rowling’s most recent tweet:
Dating a Haikyuu member who is still not over with their previous lover.
-> How it is while dating them.
-> These were based on a Tiktok my friend gave me (this should be a hyperlink if I can find the original video). Also, this is a scheduled post so I cannot interact after (I NEED TO CRAM FAST BECAUSE IT’S THE SECOND TO THE LAST DAY BEFORE MY DEADLINES-)
-> edit. this is originally posted at my previous blog (@oikaw-ugh) and I wanted to transfer it here
-> warning. angst no matter how hard you squint. rebound.
-> gen. tag. @mirakeul @kirakirasaku @gayerthanthee @nakizumie
-> HINATA SHOYŌ
You barged in to his life even when he told you he wasn’t ready and he hasn’t moved on. You insisted. You insisted that you can help him step forward and so, you stayed. You stayed even when it hurts. You stayed even when Hinata is nothing but a walking mouth about how wonderful they were; how volleyball was a sport they both shared, how this shop was their favorite spot. You like meat buns? That reminds him of how they would blow the steam off their buns fast because they’re too hungry to wait for it to cool down. Hinata knows your favorite show, too! He watched that with them once! Despite these, you stayed.
And what’s worse is that, you cannot grow to hate his previous lover. Not when you met them one day and you see the different glow on Hinata’s face. Not when you see the kindness that Hinata has been boasting for the entirety of your relationship. How can you grow to hate someone…who shows the world the best of Shoyo? The best you failed to show?
-> KUROO TETSURŌ
He’s over it, what he said. He has never mentioned them to you unless you ask for it. There is no hesitation in his voice when he tells you who they are, how long they were together, or why they broke up. He doesn’t.
That is not the problem, though. The problem is, he's too workaholic. He’s been working all the time. You see him buried on his desk with piles of work, you see him pulling all-nighters as if he were preparing for a test. You see him stressing himself out at work even when he doesn’t need to. “It’s for our future,” he says. But is it really? Is it really for your future when you cannot see yourself in the picture? And when you confront him with your worries, he gets mad. He explains it’s for you but you know it isn’t and this escalated into a huge fight and finally, after all the hiding, he finally blurted out the truth he kept from you.
“It’s the only way to forget them!”
-> KENMA KOZUME
It’s fine. The past lover has never been discussed. You’re not insensitive. You know that it is a topic Kenma would rather not speak of. Though he say it’s okay, it’s fine, you know it isn’t.
And you know that he still loves them. You know especially when he'd accidentally pronounce their name before pausing, realizing he’s supposed to call you. Not when he still stiffens at your touch or still freezes when you call his name. But it’s fine.
Really, it’s fine. It's fine that you forget about your anniversaries and monthsaries. It’s fine if you arrive late at your dates. It’s fine that you have to leave him for something important. Kenma is fine, really. He’s fine so don’t worry. But that’s a lie. He’s not fine, he just doesn’t care. Well, not as much as he cares for them. So it’s nothing to him when you accidentally forget him, or you leave him for something important, or you couldn’t hang out with him. Even when you accidentally burst your frustrations on him with how whipped is he still for them, and how it hurt Kenma so much because you slapped him of a truth he has been avoiding, he tells you it’s fine. God, please, it’s fine! Let him be? Can he know go back to his computer now? Because it’s fine, really.
-> BOKUTO KOTARŌ
At first, you thought there was nothing wrong. So when friends from his volleyball yeam and your set of friends give you these sympathetic look, you are confused. Why? It’s not like Bokuto is dating you to fill up the hole they left, right? Your relationship, in fact, is very stable and Bokuto has never made you felt insecure.
Well, not until you met them. And that was when you finally realized what others are seeing that you don’t. The day you met his past lover was the day you met him, the real him. You don’t understand. Bokuto...chuckles loud? He actually has extreme shift of moods? You have never seen Bokuto be this...jolly? Child-like? Bokuto actually likes praises? Wait, he’s clingy? He has never clung to you the way he clung his arm on them.
It’s like seeing an entire different person now that Bokuto stumbled upon them while waiting for you on your scheduled date. And when Bokuto finally noticed your arrival, he stands up, walks to you, and you have never been this horrified. You do not know who this person is who is standing right in front of you. He's not the Bokuto you know.
-> YAMAGUCHI TADASHI
Oh, you love him so much and you are grateful you met him, and he appears to feel the same way, too. He is caring. Very. He never fails to fetch you after class/work. He always carries things with him for your comfort; a handkerchief, a candy, etc. He has always been supportive of everything you do. He takes care of you; he loves to cook for you, clean for you, massage you, hug you, cuddle with you in bed. He listens as well. Fights are barely existing between the both of you with how understanding he is. He has never failed to tell you how much he loves you and how much he is grateful for you.
He is very grateful he met you. You make him relive the feeling of what it was like to be with them. In most times, he snakes his hand around your waist as you feel his lips on your head, thanking you for coming back on his life - calling you the name of his past lover you have grown to get comfortable with.
Let’s talk about DiaLuci.
Look, this isn’t a judgement call. This is merely a flat out explanation and something that should be recognized. There will be a few S2-3 spoilers, but it’s mainly vague, not going into details.
Be aware: This covers sensitive topics regarding the ship, toxic behaviors, abusive relationships, and the angel event.
Firstly, if you support DiaLuci, good for you! I’m not here to shame someone for their ships. But this fandom has a habit of attacking others who aren’t so fond of this ship. Someone can like Diavolo, and not support Dialuci. You can support Lucifer, and not like Dialuci. Or hell, you could dislike either/or both characters and fucking love the ship! No matter which character or ship you like or dislike, you are completely valid.
But this is a post, about the issues with the ship that I personally see, and why it should be more outspoken.
Now lets get to the point of the subject, shall we?
I fairly like Diavolo. He’s charming, joyous, and someone who would be the star of a party. Someone cheerful and bright. However, the way that this fandom persecutes anyone who doesn’t like Diavolo or feels uncomfortable around him is not ok.
In my opinion, Diavolo has shown signs of immature and insensitive behavior. I.e. the way he treats others like toys. Yes, he cares about them, but often doesn’t consider their feelings in things he considers ‘mere pranks.’ This may be because Barbatos constantly assures him that the future will be fine, since Barbatos can manipulate and choose timelines.
He wants the best for the people around him, but doesn’t exactly take criticism or resistance to his advances kindly. “Well duh, he’s a ruler!” So? Yes, he’s a ruler, but that doesn’t mean he should be inconsiderate about others around him. The fact that he disregards others opinions unless it fits his agenda, is a sign of his childishness.
Which means, that over time, Diavolo doesn’t hold much regard to his actions, as Barbatos is always there to catch him. Now that doesn’t mean he constantly is reckless. When it comes to official Devildom matters, Diavolo is an apt ruler, who makes decisions for the Devildom’s best interests.
The problem is, no one has told Diavolo about his less than savory behavior. Because they fear him, and fear the punishments he could inflict upon them. So I can’t really say that he’s a completely bad character.
He wants Lucifer to be his equal, and acknowledge the fact that Diavolo sees him as an equal. Diavolo’s lonely, and it’s explicitly stated as so. He envies the closeness the brothers have. So, he goes about it in the only way he knows how. Which we’ll get to a bit later.
As for Lucifer, I can’t deny I’m quite fond of him. He does his best to overcome his pride for MC, and gradually (in S2-3), he becomes more open with his feelings. Yes, he’s a deeply flawed character, but he’s not a complete villain. The world simply isn’t as black and white as some would like it to be.
Yes, his relationship with some of his brothers is toxic. The way he treats Mammon at times is unacceptable, and possibly abusive in my opinion. The fact that he acts cold and distant to his brothers at times isn’t ok. But one thing I’ve seen others overlook, is that Lucifer is the Avatar of Pride. Does this excuse his actions? No. Does it explain some of his habits? Yes.
Don’t get me wrong, he still has a lot to work on. But he’s getting there, and actively trying to get better.
Now for the ship.
You do not need to like a ship, just because a character from that ship is constantly seen with the partner. Like I’ve said above, you can hate or love Diavolo or Lucifer, and dislike/like the ship.
As for the oath, I won’t delve too deep into this, as it would take essays upon essays worth of information. But we all know that, Diavolo had given Lucifer an ultimatum. Save Lilith, at the cost of Lucifer’s unquestionable loyalty.
Which as we’ve seen, Lucifer had agreed to the terms. And so, he is now Diavolo’s most trusted advisor, his right hand man.
Even though Diavolo says or implies that he sees Lucifer as an equal. He doesn’t always seem to show it. The power imbalance in between both characters is evident, throughout the plot of the story. If Lucifer denies Diavolo’s advances, Diavolo will continue. Why?
Well, you could argue that his behavior is due to him being royalty. Which is true, he’s royalty, and has never been told no. Barbatos has always been there, fixing his mess, so why would he need to worry?
Diavolo praises Lucifer, in a manner that is clearly uncomfortable to the latter. It’s evident that Lucifer despises being praised for his beauty, and just his looks. I’ve seen blogs see it as ‘just a joke’ or ‘being playful’. But time and time again, Lucifer has denied these advances, very obviously disliking the attention and focus on his looks.
But Diavolo continues, and in his defense, you could say, ‘because Lucifer doesn’t say that he’s uncomfortable!’. It’s very obvious that Lucifer isn’t an equal to Diavolo, no matter how much the latter insists he is. We’ve seen Diavolo brush off other’s discomfort at his actions, and we’ve seen him continue.
Diavolo is not evil. This is quite clear, even though he may be suspicious to some. However, his relationship tactics and methods of relationships have toxic, and quite possibly abusive effects.
For example. The angel event.
We all know, that the bangles controlled the 7 avatars, turning them all into angels. Their outfits, and minds, were taken over. The brothers, (excluding Satan.) had gone through traumatic events in these outfits, that’s for sure.
The celestial war, and losing Lilith, all were incredibly traumatizing events forever affecting their mindsets from that day forward. The bangles attempted to brain wash them, and we can see it when Satan states that he doesn’t feel like himself, that he felt calm.
But you might think, “But being calm is great! Isn’t that what he always wantd?’. Not quite.. All Satan had known before was wrath, and being calm completely took away an important part of him. Even though Satan had always resented his wrath, his sin, he had felt like a part of himself was miserable without it. He wasn’t himself, and felt as if he were being forced to be calm, something he loathes.
In all of the brothers, we can see that they are clearly distressed, and may come out of this situation traumatized.
Lucifer is no exception. We saw how visibly upset he was, the fact that the snow-white wings on his back gave him a constant reminder of the war and Lilith, throughout the entire ordeal.
What was Diavolo doing this entire time? He was being provided entertainment, and reveled the sight before him. He enjoyed seeing the brothers in their angelic uniforms, where they had fought with tooth and nail for their sister, and who knows what else. He enjoyed the fact that the brothers were having angelic ideals forced inside their heads.
And when someone speaks up against him? He’s passive aggressive about it, until the person opposing him gives up, begs for forgiveness, or embarrasses themselves.
While criticism of any of the characters is deemed valid and peachy in this fandom. I haven’t seen any criticism of Diavolo that wasn’t met with backlash and intense hounding. Lucifer, Satan, Belphegor, have all been criticized, but has the majority really deemed those opinions as invalid? No. We can all see why those arguments are valid, and people have their own reasons.
Hell, we’ve all seen people Lucifer left and right. And you know what? They’re completely valid! Some people may have triggers/squicks in regards to his behavior, and it’s completely understandable.
But the moment someone criticized Diavolo, we see fighting and targeting. The person who speaks up gets pushed down and insulted, until they either give up, or agree. If you like Diavolo, good for you, you’re valid! If you don’t, you’re completely valid!
Now back to the ship. Apologies for getting off topic, but oftentimes, when Diavolo and Lucifer are mentioned separately, they’re roped together.
Abusive/toxic relationships aren’t always one where the abusive/toxic partner is an outright terrible person. Oftentimes, they come with charm, a dazzling smile, and friends that would fight tooth and nail for them.
Diavolo has Lucifer in an....uncomfortable position to say the least. In power dynamics, that is. Lucifer is constantly embarrassed publicly and privately by compliments, and Diavolo knows this. He’s demeaned by the oath, and as for work, Diavolo often adds to it, just for fun. I.e, leaving the Devildom to come to the human world, leaving his responsibilities behind.
“But he’s lonely!” Yes, and? He is lonely, yes, but there is a time and place for fun, and time and place for work. He is going to become a King, and if he puts all this responsibility and stress on Lucifer, it simply isn’t right.
They have their good moments, but that absolutely does not make up for the state of the relationship as a whole. Just because someone has their good moments, doesn’t mean you accept and forgive them. That’s like saying that someone who physically abuses their S/O, is a good partner because they occasionally make them dinner. It simply isn’t correct.
Majority of the time, Diavolo is fine with Lucifer being reduced to a pretty face and belittled. In public, which very clearly hurts Lucifer’s pride and reputation.
Hey I'm new on your blog but I'm so in love it 😭💕 I wanted to ask if you maybe could pls do a headcanon/ scenario with the shiratorizawa with a actually chaotic,sweet manager who snaps of one day and shows her rlly angry side because somebody was talking shit about (only a example)Tendou for being a monster or making fun of Goshikis hair ? Like they rlly want to protect their boys. I rlly hope it's not to much :(
It’s not too much at all! I hope these are to your liking, I decided to go with a slightly similar example you gave (also: protect Tendō Satori club? This boy needs a hug).
Protective Manager! Shiratorizawa ver.
-> You’re a blessing to these boys. Everyone loves you. Sweet enough to have everyone obsessed, but crazy enough to know you’re real, if that makes sense. As the manager of Shiratorizawa, one of the things Coach Washijō was worried about was if you had ulterior motives. Words were useless unless you could prove yourself, but like how it was with the boys and matches — show to him you’re worthy of being on the team.
-> It took a couple of months, but you proved yourself one day. At first, you were introduced to the club through Kawanishi, your classmate, so you didn’t know much about the third years. When Tendō seemed down one day, you were kind of confused until Kawanishi explained the situation.
-> Some girls were commenting on how attractive the guys of the school were. When Tendō passed by, they had nothing good to say. It hurt your feelings that they’d be so rude to someone, especially with that person right in front of them! You decided to sit down and talk to Tendō, telling him that the opinion of those girls were shallow and selfish, and that he deserved better. With sweet words, you got yourself closer to the third years, especially Tendō, and proved to Coach Washijō you were there for the team.
-> A few months later, it was Shirabu who had a new girlfriend. You didn’t like her very much, she seemed too fake to you, but didn’t say anything. Shirabu seemed happy with her and the team had no objections to her coming to their practice after school. When she showed up with some friends, however, things got complicated. They were distracting the boys and kept making crude comments about them.
-> One of the girls piped up with a question directed at you, however. It startled you, but you let them go on ahead and ask. Her question? “Which boy are you here for?” The nerve! You glared at her and told her you were there for the team, as they needed a manager, but she just rolled her eyes and told you that was unlikely. It took a lot to not snap at her, instead focusing on the practice match.
-> When Tendō successfully blocked the opposing team (it was a three on three, so he blocked Goshiki’s spikes), you cheered for him as he did a dance. That’s when you snapped. The girls started giggling and joked about how low your standards were if you liked Tendō, or as they said, “that one.” That’s what really pissed you off.
“What the hell did you say?” You practically growled at the girl. Her giggling fit stopped as she glared right back. The girl, Hana, happened to be the same girl who said something rude to Tendō a few months ago. How she got with Shirabu, you have no clue. She didn’t answer you, just looking at you. “If you’re not going to shut the fuck up, get out,”
“No, you’re not the boss of me,” scoffing, she flipped her black hair over her shoulder.
“I said get the fuck out of my gym and don’t be disrespecting my boys ever again. You’re so shallow and insensitive, there’s no reason for cheap bitches like you to be here. So get out,”
“Wow, rude much?” Another girl, Haruka, piped up with.
“Oh? Rude? So calling Tendō a slimy swamp monster isn’t rude, but me telling you to leave because you’re disrespectful is? The only slime creatures are you, so I’ll say it again. Leave,”
“Or what?”
You sigh, putting down the clipboard. You’ve already made enough of a scene, the Coach watching with interest what you’ll do. He probably didn’t expect your hands to pick her up by her collar, heaving her off the bench and towards the door. She trips, falling on the floor as you do the same to her friend. Her other two friends leave, running to the door. “Get up and fucking leave, stupid bitch!” You go to grab her collar again, but Ushijima’s arms wrap around you to prevent that. She’s quickly gone, her friends already left. The slamming of the gym door is what finally has you calming down.
Smoothing your skirt, you nod towards Ushijima. “Thank you. Now back to practice!”
Needless to say, everyone in that gym had a high amount of respect for you. And the Coach had some disappointment as he dealt with the consequences of you instigating a fight.
Shadow Fox
"Good morning, Adrien," Lyon greeted, walking up to the model outside the school.
"Hello, Lyon," Adrien smiled at his Greek friend.
"You waiting for someone," Lyon asked him.
"Would I sound too much like Cat Noir if I said you," Adrien smirked.
"Cat Noir's got nothing on you, Sunshine Boy," Lyon snickered.
"Ironic," Adrien thought.
"Hello, boys," Vallia approached them. "You two flirting with each other again?"
"Maybe," Adrien smirked.
"It's so obvious as well," Lyon shook his head. "How is it that so many people in this school still think Adrien is straight?"
"You were the one that pointed out their lack of common sense when we first got here, brother of mine," Vallia says.
"Oh, right," Lyon accepted her logic.
"At least Marinette was already dating Luka when you two started flirting in public like this," Vallia said.
"I was so blind to her crush," Adrien sighed. "I must have looked so insensitive to her."
"Adrien, crushes are pretty much a blind spot to all guys," Lyon tells him. "I know some girls back home had crushes on me that Vallia had to point out for me."
"It's true," Vallia giggled. "You can't exactly be rich, good-looking, and not expect people to get a crush on you."
"Celebrity crushes are the worst," Lyon shook his head.
"Don't I know it," Adrien out his head in his hands.
"Awe, poor kitty," Lyon playfully patted his head.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, wolfie," Adrien slapped his hand away lightly.
"You are so lucky that I don't have archery practice today," Lyon playfully glared. "Otherwise, you'd know the exact consequences of calling me wolfie."
"Oh, I almost forgot," Vallia says. "Have you guys seen the latest post on the Ladyblog?"
"Vallia, you know I do not care for blogs," Lyon reminds her. "Most people with blogs like that believe that it gives them actual rights as 'real' reporters. Please, most blogs are basically just wannabe reporters throwing around their opinions."
"You never hold back when stating your own opinion, do you," Adrien asked.
"Why should I," Lyon raised an eyebrow. "Free speech exists for a reason."
"Point made," Adrien shrugged.
"Take a look," Vallia showed them her phone.
New Lead On the Identity Of Ladybug was plastered as the lead story on Alya's blog. Adrien and Lyon looked at each other before returning to the story. It was some theory story that seemed to be more like a conspiracy theory as she compared old photos of Hippolyta, Joan of Arch, and some statue that she seemed to us an app to add ladybug style armor to as a basis for her theory that the current Ladybug was also a heroic person under the mask. She was guessing volunteer workers, teaching assistants, and any other female teenager that liked to help people.
"I thought Ladybug told her months ago to stop trying to find her identity," Lyon did not like what he was seeing.
"Did being akumatized into Lady Wifi not teach her anything," Adrien pinched the bridge of his nose.
"From what you guys told us, that was more Chloe's fault," Vallia reminds. "Yet Chloe didn't even have a reason until Alya went a little too far when she thought that brat of all people was Ladybug."
"May the gods help that girl," Lyon shook his head. "I have never been so happy that there is no god or goddess of blogs."
"Hephaestus is the god of technology," Vallia reminded.
"But a blog on its own is not technology," Lyon countered. "It may be created with technology, but that is not part of his domain. The internet is a thing all on its own."
"Maybe Marinette can help Alya by being the voice of reason," Adrien suggested. "She usually is."
"She shouldn't have to be," Lyon says.
"Alya, Ladybug has repeatedly told you not to look for her identity," they heard their favorite bluenette's voice.
"Speak of the devil," Adrien said. "Or rather, speak of the angel in this case."
"Relax, Marinette," they hear Alya's voice. "It's not like I gave any specific people to look at."
"Alya, you are endangering her family and friends by trying to figure out her identity and putting your 'clues' on the Ladyblog," Marinette says.
"Hawkmoth won't attack her family or friends," Alya waved her off.
The two girls approached the school, consumed by their conversation. They hardly noticed the other three walking up to them.
"What even makes you think that Hawkmoth wouldn't attack her family," Lyon asked. "There doesn't seem to be anything he wouldn't do."
"Hawkmoth did akumatize a baby," Vallia pointed out. "Poor little August."
"Well, Hawkmoth didn't attack Lila," Alya reasoned. "And if he didn't attack Laydybug's best friend, he wouldn't attack the rest of her friends or family."
"Ever consider that Hawkmoth didn't go after her because he knew she was lying," Lyon asked, in his scary calm voice.
"What is your problem with her," Alya glared at him. "What do you have against Lila to accuse her of lying without proof!?!"
"My proof is that she was stupid enough to broadcast her 'friendship' all over Paris on your blog," Lyon crossed his arms. "Anyone that publically says that they are best friends with a superhero is like asking for villains to attack them. It's pretty obvious she is claiming so to get attention."
"How dare you accuse Lila of that," Alya yelled at the Greek, not that he seemed to care. "She would never lie."
"Except that she has," Vallia says. "Pretty much since the day that she got here and every day since then."
The Greek twins then walked away without another word. That was another thing that Adrien liked about them. They took no nonsense from anyone and would tell you if you were doing something, or were about to do something, stupid.
And they certainly took no nonsense from Lila. But they especially did not after she told a lie about Clara Nightingale stealing some of her dance moves from her. It was well known, since Clara's last visit to Paris, that the pop star was very good friends with the twins so they automatically knew that was a lie. And they made their anger very well known. They didn't care if it got them some glares in return, but they always made people know that they believed that Lila is a liar. Which was true, but not everyone knew that.
"You can't say that those two are not blunt," Adrien commented to Marinette.
Marinette giggled in agreement.
The two walked into the school before Alya could go on another of her "defending Lila' rants. They got old very quickly.
It had just been the end of the school day when the Akuma Alarms started to go off. Lyon and Valiia did a disappearing act while Adrien and Marinette both made bad excuses in order to get away from everyone to transform.
"Tikki, spots on."
"Plagg, claws out."
"Frostbite, freeze over."
"Flutter, wings up."
Ladybug, Cat Noir, White Wolf, and Beautifly were soon all heading toward the newest villain that Hawkmoth created.
"What in the name of Zeus," Beautifly swore.
In front of the four heroes was a psychedelic killer clown. With the poofy red and orange jumpsuit, giant black shoes, red and orange clown/Santa hat, and purple skin, he looked like the long lost twin to the Ghost Clown from Scooby Doo. And he was also very unnerving to look at. His weapon seemed to be a giant clown horn.
"I have never liked clowns before, and this is not helping," White Wolf stated.
"You're afraid of clowns," Cat Noir raised an eyebrow under his mask.
"Not afraid of them, I just don't like them," White Wolf corrected. "I find them to be creepy and weird-looking."
"Looking at this guy, I am actually on Wolf's side for this one," Ladybug says. "Not that I am surprised that Hawkmoth made a clown akuma, at all."
"One was bound to show up eventually," Beautifly crossed her arms.
"Lucky us," White Wolf complained.
"I'm guessing he is either a birthday clown who got upset, or maybe a class clown that got in trouble for his jokes, or someone pranked with no sense of humor," Cat Noir guessed.
"Those are actually some really good guesses," Beautifly says.
"Fight enough akumas, you get good at figuring out what type of person they were under the mask," Cat Noir said.
"Good thing they don't have attached glamours like we do with our miraculous," White Wolf says. "That would make things a lot more difficult."
"Chloe's first time as a villain was certainly easy to figure out," Cat Noir said. "All that changed about her was putting her in a Ladybug suit with reversed colors. He was a lot more creative with Stormy Weather and Evillustrator."
"What else can you say about those with purple skin," Ladybug giggled.
"I may like the color, but purple skin is not something I would ever like to have," Beautifly says. "I'd look like a human lavender flower."
"He looks ridiculous I'll give him that," White Wolf looked at the clown.
"I am Jokester," the clown yelled. "If others can't appreciate my sense of humor, I will make them laugh."
"I think Cat Noir may be right about the prankster getting into trouble theory," White Wolf said.
"Finally, someone sees my genius," Cat Noir laughed.
Jokester brought out a cliche clown horn. He aimed it at the heroes.
"Heads up, guys," Beautifly warned.
She used her wings to fly up and out of the way. The other three jump out of range as the clown blown the horn. Out came a sound blast of yellow sound waves. While it missed the heroes, the sound did wash over some civilians that were farther back on the street from them. They all started laughing immediately.
"I am suddenly reminded of the Joker," White Wolf commented.
"Even with all the crime, I still actually have always wanted to go to Gotham," Cat Noir said.
"Don't let him hit you with that sound wave," Ladybug called to them.
"Where's the songbird miraculous when we need it," Beautifly tried to joke.
"We'll see how this plays out, Fly," White Wolf tells her.
They all dodged another sound blast sent their way. White Wolf landed on the roof of a nearby building. He notched an arrow in his bow, letting it fly at the akuma. The clown dodged the arrow, letting it freeze the ground where it hit.
"Anyone want to take a bet on whether the akuma is in the horn or not," Cat Noir calls out, dodging a blast sent his way.
"At least it isn't hidden on a ship like Captain Hardrock's was," Beautifly says.
"Please don't mention her," White Wolf requested. "My ears still have a slight ring to them from her sound cannons."
"Not the quietest akuma we've ever faced," Cat Noir agreed.
"Try and surround him," Ladybug ordered. "He might get confused and not know where to aim the horn."
"Good idea," Cat Noir agreed.
The four separated, going in different directions. White Wolf kept the most distance so that he could properly aim his arrows at the clown. Beautifly stayed off the ground, her wings fluttering so that she could easily fly out of the way. Ladybug and Cat Noir were on opposite sides of the clown, both with their weapons out and ready to strike. Altogether, they formed an X around the akuma.
"You should surrender," Ladybug tried talking to Jokester. "Whatever Hawkmoth is telling you is a lie. He can't offer you anything real."
But the signature butterfly outline appeared over the clown's eyes.
"Do not listen to this teenage heroine," Hawmoths tells the villain in his head. "She only wants to take away your new powers and prevent you from spreading laughter and fun. I can help you spread real fun all throughout Paris while she can not."
"I could not agree more, Hawkmoth," Jokester replied.
He aimed his horn directly at the ground. Beautifly had seen this before when an enemy would aim their weapon right at the ground.
"Get out of the way," she yelled.
She immediately flew up, further off the ground. The three heroes on the ground followed suit by jumping or using their weapons to get onto rooftops. Jokester blew the horn right at the ground. The sound wave came out like a sonic boom as it boomed out in all directions on the ground. A few more dozen people all started to laugh uncontrollably. Jokester shot into the air and started flying just like when Rose was Princess Frangrance doing the same thing with her perfume gun.
"I hate it when we have to chase them," Cat Noir complained. "Can't they ever make it easy for us."
"Trust me, if I had it my way, Hawkmoth's lair would have a giant Las Vegas sign on it with 'come arrest me' spelled out in neon," White Wolf tells him.
"This is why I like having wings," Beautifly giggled.
She took off, flying after him. The rest followed after her. White Wolf aimed another arrow at the clown, firing when they jumped to another roof. But Jokester managed to dodge it and who knows where the arrow landed after that.
"I need to practice my aiming while I am running more often," Wolf said.
"What I would give to be a flying cat," Cat Noir says.
"I will have to look to see if there is a jaquin miraculous," Beautifly giggles.
"A what," Ladybug asked.
The butterfly hero flew faster, getting in front of the clown. She launched her razor flower at him. Jokester was forced to head back to the ground. He landed on a random street somewhere by Le Grand Paris.
"I will make you, heroes, see the joy of laughter," Jokester yells.
"Laughter is overrated," Wolf stated, firing another arrow.
He blew his horn at the arrow, blocking and destroying the arrow. They all then jumped out of the way as the sound blast almost got to them after destroying the arrow.
"Even with four of us, he has us on the ropes," Beautifly says.
"If we end up laughing non-stop, we won't be able to call upon our power or detransform because we wouldn't be able to form words properly," Ladybug said.
"Even separately, the sound wave is too big," Cat Noir noticed. "He needs to be distracted away from us so we can get the akumatized object."
"So we need an allie," Wolf said. "The stag or python miraculous might be able to help us. Or maybe even the songbird."
"Sonic scream, sound shriek, or paralyzing," Beautifly listed the powers of the three miraculous. "Any of those could help us."
Ladybug was about to respond when she saw Alya off to the side. She was on her phone, as usual, most likely filming the fight for the Ladyblog. Her blog had recently opened up to Lyon and Vallia's homeland of Greece because of White Wolf and Beautifly joining the battle against Hawkmoth. Google translate was probably very useful to them.
"I know what to do," Ladybug says. "I'll be right back."
With that, she left. Cat Noir was the first to get what she was doing when he saw that Alya was there as well.
"We better handle the clown gone wild until she gets back," Wolf says.
They separated again, dodging more sound blasts.
Ladybug destransformed into Marinette before she headed into Master Fu's building. She had a feeling that he was expecting her, like always. How he did that was a little creepy, but what did she know about Guardians of the Miraculous.
"Master Fu," she greeted when she came in.
"Come on in, Marinette," Fu says.
"I need the fox miraculous," Marinette tells him. "The illusions it can create will be the best distraction for this akuma."
"Of course," Fu said.
He went over to his phonograph and punched in his code. The miracle box soon rose out of it. He picked up the box and put it in front of her.
"Marinette Dupain-Cheng, pick an ally you can trust to fight alongside you on this mission. Choose wisely; such powers are meant to serve the greater good. Once the mission is over you will retrieve the Miraculous from them," he tells her.
Marinette immediately picked up the foxtail necklace. But then she hesitated when she looked at it.
"Marinette," Wayzz asked, concerned.
"What is it, dear child," Fu asked her.
"You know that I usually give this to Rena Rouge, right," Marinette started.
"Yes. And if I am correct, she is your best friend, Alya, correct," Fu guessed.
"Yes, she is," Marinette didn't even try to lie. "But... you know that Alya also is the creator of the Ladyblog."
"I mean no offense, but blogs are still quite foreign to me," Fu admitted. "But I do understand what you are talking about."
"Alya is a good reporter," Marinette started. "But she sometimes does not know when to let a story go or if a story will have unexpected consequences. Alya has been trying to figure out my identity. She's almost been obsessed with finding it pretty much since Ladybug's first appearance. The search was what started the events that caused her to be akumatized. I have told her to stop, but she hasn't."
"And you are worried that Alya will find your identity if you continue giving her the fox miraculous," Fu guessed.
"No, I'm worried that she will put us in danger when she figures it out," Marinette says. "She keeps saying that the people deserve to know who I am, who all us heroes are, even when that puts us all on Hawkmoth's radar. She's convinced that he won't attack us because a liar has been telling her that she is 'Ladybug's' best friend and she believes her. She thinks that since Hawkmoth had not attacked 'Ladybug's best friend' that he will not attack Ladybug."
"I see," Fu says.
"I have even told her, as Ladybug, to stop looking for my identity," Marinette continued. "Multiple times, I add. But she is still looking. Alya is a great friend, but she tends to listen only when it is something she wants to hear. I am not sure if I can trust her enough with the fox anymore."
"Heroes are not always set in stone, Marinette," Fu tells her. "Not even the ladybug and black cat are only compatible with one person. I trust that if you know when there is a good fit for a temporary hero, then that person will indeed be a good one."
Marinette seemed to calm down after that. But that also slightly made her curious about who else would be compatible with her miraculous. When they did that accidental miraculous swap and she became Lady Noir, she and Mister Bug actually did pretty well. Even if they did not have much practice with the powers that they literally had for less than fifteen minutes.
She quickly left and transformed, jumping over rooftops. She had to think of someone that could be a good match for the fox miraculous. She knew that Alya loved being Rena Rouge, but this was also a chance for her to see that her actions had consequences. To teach her that there are some things that are not worth a story. Also, do not believe everything you hear. That second one was more a jab at Lila than anything else.
The more Ladybug thought about it, the more she was thinking of a personality that would match the fox and its powers. Alya was hard-headed, stubborn, and liked to charge in. That was not the type of personality that would match with subtle illusions and an animal that is known for being sneaky and quiet. A fox should be sneaky, know when to observe before taking action, and should also know what will work best when in the shadows.
And now that she really thought about it, there was one person she knew that would be a far better fit for the fox.
Ladybug landed right near a very familiar boat on the Seine. Her Ladybug luck must have been working because the exact person she needed was right on deck.
"Juleka," Ladybug called, jumping onto the boat.
"L...Ladybug," Juleka stuttered, shocked. "What are you doing here?"
"I need your help," Ladybug stated.
"M...My help," Juleka looked even more shocked. "What can I do? I'm not cut out to be a hero."
"You are more capable than you think, Juleka," Ladybug pulled out the box. "Juleka Couffaine, this is the miraculous of the fox, which grants the power of illusion. You will use it for the greater good. After the battle is over you must return the miraculous to me. Can I trust you?"
Juleka was a lot of things. She was shy, sweet, kind, had a good head on her shoulders, and had a dream to become a model. She never would have imagined anything like this ever happening to her.
"M...Me," she was beyond shocked at this point. "I...I'm no hero, Ladybug. And... what about Rena Rouge?"
"Rena has... lost my trust," Ladybug admitted. "She has been permanently retired and won't be returning."
"Oh," was all Juleka could say.
"Juleka, there is no bravery without fear," Ladybug tells the shy girl. "Being a hero does not mean being fearless and always jumping into danger without a second thought. It also means being careful and going in with a strategy. You are naturally quiet and observant, a perfect match for the fox miraculous."
"I'm not a hero, Ladybug," Juleka was still reluctant.
"We all have a hero inside of us, Juleka," Ladybug gave her a reassuring smile. "You do not need to be fearless to be a hero."
Juleka looked at the box that Ladybug was offering her again. She wanted to be confident, to be able to stand up to people if she has to, to put herself out there more. Now, she was being given that chance.
"Okay, Ladybug," she took the box and opened the lid.
A ball of light came out, flying around the goth girl. To her credit, she did not stare at the ball of light and exclaim "what is that thing" like Alya did.
"Hello, there," Trixx greeted, not showing how surprised he was at not seeing Alya.
"Rad," Juleka gasped.
"Not easily shook, is she," Trixx asked Ladybug.
"Guess with magical superheroes around, these things are being seen as more normal," Ladybug shrugged.
"Alright, then," Trixx turned back to Juleka. "My name's Trixx, and I will be your kwami."
"Kwami," Juleka was not as informed as Alya had been.
"I'm what gives my holders their powers," Trixx answered. "I am the kwami of illusion. To transform, you say 'Trixx, let's pounce.' Detransform, it's 'let's rest.' To call my power, play your flute, think the illusion you want, and say 'mirage."
Juleka put the necklace on, but she still looked nervous about doing this.
"You'll do great, Juleka," Ladybug smiled at her. "I know you will."
Juleka nodded. "Trixx, let's pounce."
Trixx was pulled into the necklace and Juleka transformed. Ladybug immediately noticed that her hero outfit was a lot different from Alya's.
For starters, her colors are midnight black and dark purple. Her torso was similar to Rena's but was dark purple where it was normally white and black where it would have been orange. But that was where the similarities ended. Over her torso clothing was a black leather jacket with streaks of purple on it. She also wore knee-high black boots that had no heel and matched the dark purple gloves on her hands. Behind her was a real fox tail instead of Rena's fabric one. The same difference was the real fox ears coming out of the top of her head. Her hair remained mostly the same but grew to where the tail started to come out of her. Over her eyes was a dark purple mask. Her flute also changed to purple and black and was strapped to her back.
"Wow," Ladybug gasped. "This might actually come in handy if we ever have another akuma at night to deal with. There would be plenty of shadows that you could blend into."
"This feels so awesome," Juleka looked at her costume.
"So, what will I call you," Ladybug asked.
"My name can be... Shadow Fox," Juleka chooses a hero identity.
"Cool," Ladybug smiled at her.
*****
Meanwhile, back at the battle, the three other heroes were trying their best to keep other civilians from becoming laughing messes. They already had to save Alya three times because of her need to film the fight even when it was a risk to her safety.
"Alya," Beautifly yelled in warning.
Make that four times.
The butterfly hero dived down and picked up the blogger. She just managed to fly out of reach of another sound blast from Jokester. She set Alya down on the roof of a building further from the fight.
"Hey, I need to be closer to the fight," Alya protested where she was put down. "I would never be able to get a proper video from here."
"Your life is not worth a simple video," Beautifly scolded. "Either stay away from the fight or just learn to dodge on your own. We can not keep saving you. It distracts us from defeating the akuma."
"I need this for my blog," Alya continued to protest.
"A blog post is not worth your life," Beautifly snapped at her.
She flew away before Alya could attempt to argue more with her. She saw Cat Noir and White Wolf standing on opposite sides of Jokester, hoping for at least one of them to get a hit in.
"Take this, Mr.Big-Nose," Cat Noir yelled, jumping at him while spinning his staff.
Jokester focused his attention on Cat Noir, raising his horn to make him laugh as well as blast him away. White Wolf fired an arrow when he was distracted. And this one finally met its mark. The arrow hit the horn and ice erupted around it, encasing his hand and the horn at the same time. That lead to the akum only being able to jump out of the way of Cat Noir's strike.
"Finally," Wolf says. "There is no worse feeling to an archer than constantly missing their target."
Cat Noir had to laugh at that, making the wolf hero playfully pout.
"Aw," Cat Noir looked at him. "A pouting wolf. How adorable."
"Call me adorable one more time and I will shove an arrow so far up your..." Wolf started.
"Don't want to be called adorable, then don't pout like that," Beautifly smirked, interrupting him.
"My quiver literally never runs out of arrows, you really want to tempt me," Wolf shakes his bow at them in a threatening manner.
"You're still cute, Wolfie," Cat Noir winked at him.
"Do not make me shoot you, Kitty," Wolf playfully threatened.
"You two are made for each other," Beautifly giggled.
"Am not," the two heroes could not hide their blushes.
"Someone needs to tell that Ladyblogger to take down that LadyNoir ship name," Beautifly giggled again. "Because that is obviously not happening."
Both male heroes were really going red, but their fun moment was ruined by Jokester.
"I will make you laugh if it is the last thing I do," he yelled.
"You'd think a clown would appreciate our senses of humor," Cat Noir commented.
The ice around the horn began to crack.
"Oh for the love of Hades," Wolf swore.
They all shot in different directions when the ice exploded with a sound blast that would have directly hit them.
"Looks like I need to layer on the ice," Wolf notched another arrow.
"Someone call for back-up," Ladybug's voice called.
Not even a second later, a black figure shot at Jokester and hit him with... was that a flute? The clown was knocked right into a nearby wall.
"That was the akuma I just hit, right," the figure asked, her voice telling them that she was female.
The rest of the team got their first real look at Shadow Fox.
"That is most definitely not Rena Rouge," Cat Noir immediately said.
"You can call me Shadow Fox, kitten," Shadow responded.
"This is an interesting development," Wolf commented.
"Indeed, it is," Beautifly agreed.
Alya, who had finally managed to get close to the fight again, was unbelievably shocked, not to mention angry.
"I'm Rena Rouge," she thought, angrily. "I was right here, why would Ladybug give someone else the fox miraculous. She doesn't even look like a fox."
The three did a quick look, up and down, of Shadow Fox. She was certainly a lot more different than Rena Rouge in terms of looks. And the way that she was able to just shoot at Jokester and nail like that meant that she was comfortable with being quiet even when attacking.
"That was a good hit," Wolf complimented. "Probably one of the few that have happened in this fight."
"Uh... thanks," Shadow said.
"I'm more happy about there now being three heroes with dark-colored outfits compared to the two with bright colors," Beautifly remarked. "We outnumber them, now."
"Finally," Cat Noir cheered in agreement.
"I resent both of you," Ladybug pointed at them, playfully glaring as well.
"At least the two of us stand out more," Wolf smirked.
Jokester than started to get up. He noticed that there were now five heroes against him instead of just the three he had been fighting.
"Oh, look," he gave them a creepy smile. "More people to join in my plan of spreading laughter. Goodie."
"This guy is really creepy," Shadow stated.
"See, she agrees with me," Wolf said.
They all dodged another sound blast.
"Okay, time to end this," Ladybug says. "Lucky Charm."
She threw her yo-yo into the air, calling whatever object that was going to appear. It came in a flash of light as usual and then fell into her hands.
"You have got to be kidding me," Beautifly said, looking at the object.
It was one of those ridiculous fake clown flowers. The ones with a small pump at the end of a tube to squirt water out of the flower.
"What in the world am I supposed to do this," Ladybug looked at it.
"You better figure it out quickly," Wolf called out to her.
He was running across rooftops along the street, continuously firing arrows at the demented clown. But none of the arrows met their mark because they were all destroyed by Jokester's sound blast.
"I'll try and give us some more help," Beautifly says. "Nature's Heart."
Her razor flower spun around her, landing on her hand in front of her. Out of the center of the flower appeared a blossom. This one was oddly known my Shadow Fox.
"That's a water lily," she said, making Beautifly look at her. "I grew up near the water, so I have a lot of aqua facts up my sleeves."
"Okay," Beautifly says. "Then I know exactly what this does. And it does make sense. Sound can not move through the water. Everyone out of the way!"
The butterfly hero took the flower and raised it in front of her. Jokester barely had time to look at her when a powerful torrent of water came shooting out of the flower. She loved her ability to call enchanted flowers, even if she never knew what she was going to get.
Jokester shot another sound blast, but the water was too powerful for it. The sound blast was now acting more like a shield as it tried to keep the water at bay. The heroes all stood on different roofs to avoid the torrent.
"I have never loved flowers more than right now," Cat Noir said.
"That's my partner for you," Wolf grinned.
Ladybug looked around, using her Ladybug vision to work out how to use what she had. Shadow Fox was the first to flash in her sight, then the water gun flower, then White Wolf's bow and arrows, and finally Cat Noir. She now had a plan.
"I can't hold this for much longer," Beautifly shouted.
Ladybug quickly made her way over to Shadow Fox.
"When Beautifly stops her attack, that is when you need to call your illusion," she tells her.
"But... what do I even create," Shadow asked, holding her flute tightly.
"Trust in yourself," Ladybug says. "You'll know what to do."
Shadow Fox nodded, holding her flute. Ladybug then went over to White Wolf and Cat Noir to explain their parts of the plan.
It was not long before the water stopped coming out of the lily that Beautifly was holding. She looked at it, frustrated for a second, before having to take off again as a sound blast nearly hit her. When Jokester went to fire his horn again, Shadow Fox put her flute to her lips and played the tune that activated her power.
"Mirage," she whispered, throwing the ball of light.
In a flash, there were many copies of the heroes along the rooftops. And no two groups were in the same positions, so Jokester could not work out which was which based on how they looked.
"NO," Jokester yelled, confused on where to fire.
Having been looking up, at all the copies, Jokester did not notice the flower that Ladybug had managed to sneak in front of him. When he stepped onto the pump, the flower squirted water right into his face, further distracting and confusing him.
Hidden in two different alleyways were Cat Noir and White Wolf as they waited to do their parts. When Jokester had his back to White Wolf as he was trying to blast all the copies while still trying to wipe the water off of his face and out of his eyes. The icy hero came out as quietly as he could, raising his notched arrow. Aiming as carefully as he could, he fired. The arrow sailed through the air, making contact close to the bottom of the horn, freezing it and knocking it out of Jokester's hand.
"My horn," he cried. "I need that to spread laughter."
Ladybug was quick to jump out of her hiding place and use her yo-yo to wrap around his legs and trip the villain.
"Cat Noir, now," Ladybug yelled.
"Cataclysm," the black cat called, his hand bubbling with black energy.
He jumped up, touching the frozen horn with his hand. The horn instantly turned to dust, falling into icy pieces. A black butterfly flew out of the remains.
"No more evil-doing for you, little akuma," Ladybug opened her yo-yo and threw it at the insect. "Time to de-evilize."
Ladybug released the butterfly, the creature now being white. She then threw the fake flower into the air, letting her Miraculous Cure sweep over the city. As the swarm of ladybugs vanished, three of the heroes started beeping because of the timers on their miraculous for using their powers. Ladybug and Shadow Fox were left with four minutes and Beautifly had three left. Cat Noir was probably close to having four minutes left but White Wolf did not use his power so he was not on a timer.
"LADYBUG," Alya shouted, running toward them.
"And... that is our cue to leave," Wolf stated. "I am not getting involved in this."
"Me neither," Beautifly agrees. "I'd rather fight the spirit of one of the furies."
The Greek heroes flew/ jumped away. Cat Noir then looked at Ladybug.
"I don't really know why she is angry, but I'm not getting involved in whatever happened that made her so mad," he tells her.
"Can I come with you," Shadow asked before he could leave. "I can hide and give you the miraculous so that you don't find out who I am."
"I'm cool with that," Cat Noir responded.
The two quickly left as well and Ladybug was left alone with the blogger.
"Yes, Alya," the hero knew that this conversation was going to happen.
"How... How... You replaced me," the Ladyblogger managed to get out. "I was right here, how could you replace me?!?"
"Because, Alya, you have lost my trust," Ladybug stated.
"Lost your trust? But I didn't do anything," Alya protested.
"Really? Because I recall telling you, multiple times, to stop trying to figure out my identity," Ladybug crossed her arms. "And yet you continue to try. I saw your latest blog post. That not only puts me in danger if your theory is even correct, but it also puts innocent girls in danger that anyone thinks could be me."
"The people deserve to know who is protecting them," Alya argued.
"And does that fact that my friends and family will be targeted by Hawkmoth mean nothing to you," Ladybug glared at her.
"Hawkmoth will not attack them," Alya tries to argue.
"And what reason do you have to think that," Ladybug was not going to back down. "Do you have him on speed-dial? Do you have a video of him saying that he would leave them alone? What proof do you have that he will not attack my family and friends?"
"Well, Lila is still..." Alya was interrupted.
"Her again," Ladybug shook her head. "I told that girl months ago to stop saying that she knew me and that we're friends. It was annoying then and it's annoying now."
Alya was undeniably shocked.
"But... she said..." Alya was interrupted again.
"Let me make one thing perfectly clear," Ladybug says. "The only way that me, Cat Noir, White Wolf, Beautifly, and any other hero in Paris knows Lila Rossi is when she has either been akumatized, been chased by an akuma, or has been the cause of one. Neither me, nor any other hero, is friends with her and she needs to stop lying by saying that she is."
"You're just saying that to protect her," Alya was in denial at this point.
"This is why you no longer will be given the fox miraculous," Ladybug remains glaring at her. "You are so in denial about the truth unless it suits you and what you believe. You go running head-first into danger, not caring about your safety or how it distracts me and the other heroes when we constantly need to save you. You also only ever publish what gets you more views on your blog. Lila Rossi's video, your theories about who I am, and I noticed that you still have not taken down that story you posted that accuses Cat Noir of stealing the Mona Lisa. That was a villain called Copycat, who was akumatized to look just like Cat Noir. We told everyone that, yet you still have not taken that article down or posted an apology to him."
"But... But... I..." Alya was speechless, for once.
"There is more to being a good journalist than clickbait articles," Ladybug got her yo-yo out again. "Looking for facts is also a big part of being a reporter. Maybe you need to think about that. Bug out."
Ladybug then swung away to retrieve the fox miraculous that Shadow Fox gave to Cat Noir.
Hope and Landon’s relationship is literally codependent and it’s been shown repeatedly how it is bad for both of them but especially her, but of course her friends are toxic for having a back bone and not wanting to be put in danger to try and bring Landon back from the dead, and for trying to show Hope how to function w/o him uh-huh. No wonder you romanticise her not wanting to wake up when Landon dies, and Landon being her humanity, and her poster quote being abt Landon. You only care about Hope when she is being used to prop up Landon no matter how much it hurts her and the people around her.
Anon, if you hate Handon so much, why are you even here? Why are you spending time looking at my posts? My blog clearly bothers you a lot, why not block me? If you can’t see the good that Hope and Landon have done for each other, how they make each other happy and bring out the best in each other, how Landon helped Hope from the very start of the show when no one else did, how being with Hope has pushed Landon to be better as well, then idk what to tell you. You’re clearly not paying attention the show. Their relationship is not in any way bad for either of them. The separations and hardships they go through, which have mostly come as a result of them making sacrifices for everyone else, is what has been so hard for both of them, as it would be for any relationship. Being deeply affected when your happiness with the person you love is constantly under threat and when they keep getting ripped away from you and wanting to fight for them does not equal codependency, it’s just a natural reaction when you truly love someone. And it’s sad that people feel the need to twist that love into something negative. Hope isn’t a cold, disloyal person who quickly forgets about people after she loses them the way some fans seem to want her to be. And her friends are toxic because they expect her to do everything for them while they give nothing in return, they aren’t there for her, they have continuously guilt-tripped her for prioritizing Landon over them once, and gaslighted her into doing what they want, they see her as a weapon and want to use her, etc. And how have they ever tried to show Hope how to “function without him”? They all did absolutely nothing to support her or help her when she was struggling in season 3. All they did was show that they wanted her to stop caring about him, and in the most insensitive way possible. And they still couldn’t care less about her actual feelings now, they don’t even mention how she feels or what she had to do that caused her humanity to turn off, they’ve shown no compassion. And when it comes to Hope not waking up in 3x01 because she couldn’t face the grief of losing Landon and didn’t want to be without him, she had also literally wanted to die and stay with Hayley at peace in TO after she died, do you criticize Hope’s relationship with her mother too? People are affected by grief in different ways, and what they did with Hope in 3x01 made sense for her character. So yeah, I have talked about it and have posted parallels about it, since it is similar to her turning off her humanity now, if that’s what you wanna call “romanticizing” it. And there’s nothing wrong with me, and tons of other fans, thinking that Landon is gonna be the one to get Hope to turn her switch back on and to come back to herself and feel again? And idk how I “romanticized” the poster? It’s just a poster... pretty sure I said that I don’t think it’s such a big deal the way people are making it, it wasn’t the only Hope poster, and that, whether people like you like it or not, Handon is still the main couple of the show. So it’s not that weird that they had another poster of her with a quote about Landon, they had his quote on his poster about Hope too. And those things are not about Hope “propping up” Landon, it’s just about their love for each other. And you’ve clearly not really been reading or understanding my posts if you think I only care about Hope when she’s “propping up” Landon. I’ve been a Hope fan for a very long time, long before Landon was first introduced. And I’ve talked a lot on this blog about just Hope as her own character that’s got nothing to do with her “propping up” Landon. And if you think her relationship with him has hurt her and other people, you should rewatch the show. Her losing him has hurt her, as anyone would be hurt when losing someone they love over and over. And there’s not been one time that anyone has been hurt because of her loving Landon. She literally only did one risky thing one time in 3x08, didn’t even know about the danger of the dark magic, and no one got hurt.
