I think my favorite part of this project is that each page could really stand alone as well. This one especially tells their story the most linear and completely!

[Content warning for death. Nothing too descriptive though.]

“STAY STILL YOU INSOLENT PEST!” A booming voice yells, leaves shaking and water rippling from the blaring volume. Soon after, a hyper beam cuts through the clearing, blasting through the trees on the other side and adding to the carnage that has already amassed. Trees blasted from their roots or felled with a clean slice, chunks blown from earth, and even the once pristine water of the lake is now a murky brown, debris littering the surface. Yet The Eternal One pays no mind to the damage that has been wrought, her hooves slamming into the ground as she summons more twisting vines to try and encase her opponent. An intruder. An anomaly. Their origin and species, she's unsure, but she's positive that they do not belong here. In her forest. In this universe.

They're a slippery one however, moving like a dart away from her attacks and attempts to immobilize them. And even when her snaking vines do manage to twist around their form, they're easily able to slice through the plants with bladed arms. Her unrelenting attacks keep them close to the earth, at least, unable to break past the upper limits of the forest canopy. Close to her. She'll just have to wear them down then. She's got plenty of energy to spare.

She goes to launch a Moonblast at the infernal thing, tons of energy pouring in from her glowing horns and into a focused sphere above her head, growing larger and larger with each millisecond that passes. She rears up her front legs, ready to slam them into the tender earth once more to limit their ability to dodge with vines, but she's a moment too slow-- the intruder has already charged their arms to attempt a Guillotine. By the time the tips of her hooves reach the ground, they have already began moving like a bullet towards her.

With the sickening squelch of a blade cutting through flesh and bone, the Eternal One's head falls haphazardly to the ground. Her eyes wide and frozen in a state of shock, watching as the intruder swiftly zips into the sky and makes their escape. Their form quickly becoming a speck in the distance like the stars that start to blur overhead, becoming dimmer and dimmer until darkness takes over her vision.

She hears a familiar cry that sounds too far away to put a name to and feels the light touch of small, gentle hands on her face before she's overtaken by the endless expanse of nothingness.

And The Eternal One falls completely still for the first time in eternity. Lifeless.

Laios & Marcille relapse AU!

My grab at baking dogboy Laios into an AU and yay laicion to top it off! Yaad is having a stroke! ^^

Soooo they had to hire a wolf beastman coach for the king's new behavioral impulses. It's a criminal yes but a PARDONED criminal after the last dungeon war! How many wolf beastkins, which are ILLEGAL, ready at the call of the government (and not too important to send away) do you think there are. This is also a show of alliance! The official answer though is that you two know each other already.

Cue Lycion being a bad teacher who just always goes "Okay so when you get the urge to eat raw meat, don't do that" and a Laios who's been enabled one too many times and is now running off doing whatever he wants howling at midnight in his room, cue therian on furry violence, cue Lycion corruption arc where Laios goes "come be a dog with me :3" more and more convincingly. They were born to play fight together as wolf monstery humanoids, thank you

Alternatively this is all fanfic that king Laios is making of himself when he has free time. The classic "skip work and be a wolf" fantasy

Matt: "Let There Be Love," you wrote an earlier version, he says, called "It's a Crime." and there's big differences of lyrics.

He's the reason why he can use the vines and Dreamthistles the way he does, but the more Mabaki uses it, the stronger he becomes, at least in terms of influence. And if he wants to, he can take away the ability to control the vines. (Totally didn't hurt someone because of this as Mbk watched, not able to control them at all, no no).

Bonus, he's the reason Mbk didn't fall to Mordremoth.
