either lashes out at you or the lamb due to feeling that youve been assigned as a babysitter to make sure she doesnt do anything- sure, the lamb has no reason to trust her or her siblings to behave themselves in the cult BUT that doesnt make it any less humiliating!

she does get used to your company with time- youre stubborn... talking together is easy because youve taken the time to learn sign language and youre more than happy to teach her

you leave her baskets with various teas and medicines to help soothe her throat on days where it hurts more- due to strain or weather or its simply one of her worst days... shes thankful for your effort but she shows it through guiding you on what works for her and what she likes

i personally headcanon that hes hard of hearing, probably deaf in one of his ears... he can still hear just barely- he takes you up on any offers to teach him sign to help minimize problems down the line

loooooooves the little care packages you leave for him- treats, goodies, and generally stuff he can use to upkeep himself- its nice still receiving "offerings" after everything!

you... actually come in handy in helping keep them on track as well as reminding them of things they need to do or things that have been said- things have gotten so much harder since theyve lost their crown so your help is appreciated

one of the things you leave for them is ink and journals so they can keep track of things on their own when youre not around as well as generally granting them a space to put down their own thoughts in a private setting

your kindness makes you easy to talk to, you both do a lot of that... well... actually its mostly you doing most of the talking. shamura does a lot of listening but they prompt you to keep going or tries to find a subject to fill the silence

even if you were sent by the lamb to keep an eye on them theyd understand- if they were in the lambs place and decided to spare them theyd have someone to keep an eye on them... not really that offended about it plus they get a companion!

Does anyone in the family ever get into arguments with eachother? Maybe one of the kids in their adolescence have outbursts or maybe two people get into heated debates or something?

I would imagine that grimm and vyrm almost never get mad at eachother but for everyone else I would like to know

Oooh I like this question a lot, let me think.

I'll start with Vyrm and Grimm since you're right that they basically never get mad at one another. They understand each other really well, and they're both very patient with one another, so arguments between them are very rare. Even disagreements are rare, since Vyrm has the tendency to keep things to himself and just agree for the sake of the other, so ironically Grimm has to subtly push him towards speaking his mind, even if Vyrm's opinion goes against his own. I do like the idea of there being one time Grimm raised his voice at Vyrm in frustration (since he was prone to losing his cool in the period after Vyrm disappeared), only to regret it immediately after and get really distressed about it. Nothing like that ever happened again, and any disagreements between them are solved peacefully. What do they usually "argue" about? Most definitely Grimm's tendency to be too protective, Vyrm feels very uncomfortable whenever Grimm acts aggressively towards anyone who's even slightly rude towards him, and since Grimm encourages him to speak up whenever he has a problem with something, he does bring it from time to time. Unfortunately it's very hard for Grimm to control himself, so while he always apologizes for causing Vyrm any discomfort, this is a topic that comes back once in a while.

But those are just mild disagreements, unfortunately the family is not free from serious arguments, and those are usually started by Hornet. Well, they used to at least, things are more peaceful now. But after their reunion, Hornet was very angry at Vyrm, and would frequently lash out at him whenever he even slightly irritated her. The first few days after he came back were somewhat quiet, things only started to get worse once they began interacting more. She would find everything about him frustrating, the way he looked, spoke, even the way he walked. He would keep apologizing for everything, and that only infuriated her further, so she would scream at him, voicing all of the anger built up in the years she was alone. But it wasn't out of cruelty, she did not actually mean to hurt him, and every time she felt really bad about it afterwards. She loved him, even after all those years, she just struggled terribly with controlling her anger. And in response to her outbursts, Vyrm would either shut down or go into panic attacks, which only made matters worse. This resulted in him being extremely anxious around her, worried that no matter what he did, she would be upset, and the last thing he wanted was for her to hate him, even if he wouldn't blame her for it. But as years passed, and Hornet learned to keep her emotions in check, those arguments became less and less frequent. 10 years after their reunion, they do get along quite well, though Vyrm is still extra careful not to accidentally set her off, more than with anyone else.

Aside from those two, the only arguments are between Zote and, well, everyone. Mainly Hornet, but he starts fights with basically anyone, even Grimm at times (who finds it rather amusing, so there's no bad blood between them). It's either petty insult contests, or fierce debates about something insignificant, the latter in particular would be fairly common in the family, especially if Grimm, Hornet and Zote are in the same room (Vyrm and Holly would mostly just listen).

You mentioned the kids and I do think that Milo would be quite argumentative as he gets older. He's already a bit grumpy and jealous of his more capable and healthier siblings, so I can absolutely see that jealousy growing into something more nasty over time. I think his weakness would make him very self-conscious, but unlike Vyrm who kind of just accepted it (or at least learned to keep it to himself, which had its own consequences), Milo would react in anger as a defence mechanism. I imagine it would be a nasty combination - even once he's older, he'd need his parents since he would struggle to keep up, but that same fact would also make him very bitter and envious of his peers, and he'd definitely lash out at his family just to release that pent up anger. Asta would grow up to be a bit rebellious, but more in a "I want to do things my own way, I don't care if others judge me for it" way rather than as an angry protest against her family, so I don't really see her starting any arguments (if anything, she would be the one to calm Milo down whenever he loses his temper). And Lewk would grow up to be as kind as understanding as he is now, he would try to find common ground whenever there's a disagreement, so it would never evolve into a full-blown argument whenever he's involved.

Summary-> Y/n and S/n are sisters who are very much attached to the hip dispite slightly rare petty arguments. A bad argument forms between Y/n amd S/n and they go to their lover to complain. Alhaitham and Kaveh however can’t let this go on for too long. Your bond was super strong with each other despite some small differences. They don't want to see that sibling bond disintegrate.

Notes-> I got in an argument with my sister and this idea popped up; and since my sister has a personality like Alhaitham and me with a Personality like Kaveh; with us liking the opposite, this is really creative idea.

Stomping through the streets your heart is still racing, out of breath from storming outside your house. The murky feeling deep in the pits of your stomach felt awful. You felt yourself treading through the depths of the ocean where the water was thick and heavy on your feet. Dreaded thoughts flooded your head bringing bouts of pain every second. Your muddled vision couldn’t clear up no matter how hard you tried. Your eyes were just too puffy.

You successfully managed to find the right door, however, so congratulations on that, one happy thing about this awful day.

The gentle knocks on the door and small pitiful calls draw the front door to widen with the expected person of your search. You look up quite bashfully afraid what he might think of your state.

“Kaveh isn’t home right? Can I stay here? With you kicking him out for a few days at least.” Alhaitham surely wasn’t a fool for not noticing your puffy eyes, downcast expression and the slight dance of your fingers against your clothes in a rattling of your nerves.

He was quick to rummage in his pocket and take out that one item of desire for the architect. Kaveh’s golden key with the lion carving. “He can stay at S/n’s house. And you can stay at mine. Equal exchange.” You gave Alhaitham the lightest of smiles as you followed him in.

Once reaching the couch you immediately cling to Alhaitham, you knew he already deduced your haggard state. He sat normally, sitting to his left you lurched your left arm across his torso hugging his waist, your other arm around his neck, one leg in between his; entirely facing him while acting as a koala clinging to their tree for support. He didn’t mind it one bit and kept an arm around your torso to keep you close.

“Did you have an argument. With S/n? Why else would you deliberately ask to kick out Kaveh when he would automatically turn to your house and stay with S/n.” The tone of voice was not a question, more of a statement he correctly concluded.

You nodded as you buried your head into his chest emotions starting to well up again. “I can only faintly remember what we were talking about. I- I just got so mad I lashed out on her. She didn’t get me; she didn’t understand what she was doing to me. And I can't- it’s not- ..it hurts. And I’m so bad with my words..” The tears this time around prickled so harshly that your sobs felt choked.

Alhaitham’s hand around your torso drew parallelograms into your side as some sort of soothing mechanism. He never likes to see you so distraught like this, you were so much more pretty when you happily bounced off walls with energy and that bright glow he loves.

And S/n was a bringer of that light. Y/n was the most comfortable around her sister, naturally. Their shared interests and sometimes similar views made each other glow that much more brighter. They stuck to each other so well that others would even get jealous of their sibling relationship. They are definite opposites but find a way to balance well against each other. This however would be the worst they have ever fought. Silent treatment was the result after small petty fights. This was much more hurtful for both.

“That’s why I’m with you. To help you with your words and guide you. Look up at me Y/n.” Your shaky exhale found relief in cooler air away from his body heat. Alhaitham’s digits ran over your cheeks softly as you leaned into his fond touch. “How do you feel about your sister?”

“She’s a total butt. Annoying to deal with.” Your brows furrow and your face puffed in irritation. Cute; Alhaitham couldn’t voice out in the seriousness of this conversation. “Then how would you feel if she left you?”

You jolted in his hold, eyes now run out of tears has widened in horror. “I..would be so upset. Intentional or not. She can’t just leave…” The trigger in your thoughts now running wild in imaginations of S/n leaving you behind made your blood cold. The bubbling of that came fresh new tears and you really hated this overwhelming emotion.

“Civil conversations about serious matters need to be regarded Y/n. With S/n that is. To better understand each other you need to express yourself. And not through emotion-filled tears.” At the end of that sentence he rubbed circles into your cheeks, secretly indulging in how soft your skin feels against his fingers.

The rubbing of his hands was a bit too forceful that it slurred your words. “But i caant, its too hard to form words with mouth. Esspecially when it's face to face. It’s too uncomfortable and my mind blanks. My fight or flight, except it's my hide or flight.” You swat his hands from the rubbing and adjust them to rest against your face instead.

“I know.” His deadpan expression brings you back to the time you tried to confess but stumbled over your words, so he ended up confessing since you were activating your hide or flight and in the midst of running away. You still ran away in embarrassment in the end.

You awkwardly laugh at that memory avoiding eye contact. “On another note, you cry often even when you are just happy and your heart is overwhelmingly full. I will just get a jar to fill up on your tears at this point and start liking when you cry.” Alhaitham’s face was devoid of emotion; you couldn’t tell if he was being serious or not.

“Please don’t..” You whine at the subtle joke choosing to not take that sentence seriously. Alhaitham chuckles and strokes your head, shifting your body closer.

“Don’t worry about the meeting with S/n. Just focus on what speech you're going to prepare to say to her. Media Naranja.”

Media Naranja (Spanish for "my better half," literally "half an orange")

“Did you just call me an orange half.” You glare at Alhaitham with a half frown half smile knowing the exact meaning he wasted to say. He raises a brow, “Do you not look like one now? Your eyes have gotten much puffier and red.” He was internally glad you have started to calm down and were able to joke around now. You blow air into his face and stick your tongue out as he blinks back.

“But.. thank you for making me feel better Haitham. Mmh I lovvee youu. And now i’m so exhausted from all these deep feelings. Tuck me in bedd pleasee.” You stick your head near his neck fondly and wrap both your arms around his neck wanting to be carried into his room to rest.

“No. You need to shower. You’ve been outside all day. Don’t get your germs in my bed.” However, he moved your body around so he could carry you over to his room. “So meann.” Once he placed you down on your feet, you grabbed your spare clothes from his dresser and headed to the bathroom.

Alhaitham waited for the door to snap shut and the shower to turn on before he gets up towards the front door. Just his luck, he spots a fussy blonde mumbling angrily while walking away from their shared house. “Kaveh.” Upon hearing that monotone voice his head snaps towards the house ready to snap at the man for kicking him out once again.

The seriousness in Alhaitham’s voice and face stops the blonde from chewing out his roommate. Just this once.

Feeling refreshed you stumble out of the bathroom, your exhaustion has faded only a bit, your eyes were the most tired of all. You step into Alhaitham’s room and yawned wanting to crawl into bed and cuddle with him already.

“Took you long enough. Come. I’m already drained from treating your therapy session today.” Alhaitham sat up against the headboard with a book in his lap eyes focused on you even before you walked fully in.

“Hehe, yes my Liebling” You practically jump onto the bed automatically covering yourself with the blanket and clinging onto Alhaitham.

Liebling ("darling" in German)

He pressed a kiss to your forehead as he bookmarks the page and places it on the nightstand, sinking down the headboard to lie down next to you.

“You’ll have a long day tomorrow. And I will be there for you. Don’t be so nervous and so scared. You won’t ever have to be, with me by your side. Your soft snores was his response as he had waited till your exhaustion enveloped you to admire you.

“I love how you're so empathetic and carefree. It’s your best quality so no need to be so insecure over that.”

“You’re admirable to keep going forward with the pain of your past.”

“I loathe seeing you too intimidated to reveal your true feelings to others.”

“Your feelings are just as much important as the other person. Please understand this.”

Another kiss to your temple and he has you in his firm hold succumbing to a peaceful slumber. A gentle smile graced your lips, either from Alhaitham’s love admission or the sweet dreams you had when he voiced his fondness of you.

Hey so can I request a something. So I wanna see your interpretation of what would happen if Rika got adopted by Yoosung's family.

I myself had made some headcannons like yoosung's mom gets Rika's parents and the p*do priest arrested. Around the time she adopted Rika (who is older than her own daughter by two years) she was pregnant with yoosung.

And while she was a good mother to Rika life wasnt the smoothest cuz I could see yoosung's sister being jealous of Rika and Yoosung cuz Rika herself had severe traumas and yoosung was literally a baby and since her other siblings had more needs she was getting ignored which led her to lash out at Rika (like she cut Rika's hair short one time out of jealousy) and eventually at baby yoosung. But eventually their conflict get resolved

So these are the few headcannons I have what do you think??

okay first, i firmly believe that rika would’ve founded the rfa no matter what. she definitely still struggles with her mental health, but it isn’t as severe as it is when she isn’t adopted.

i can definitely see her absolutely adoring yoosung the moment he’s born. i feel like she’d be one of those kinds of little girls that carry around a baby everywhere and a stroller, so she’d love to do the same with yoosung

yoosung’s sister not liking her would hit rika very hard. she tries so hard to be as perfect as she can be because she is terrified of losing her family

of course, the sister doesn’t realize this and all she sees is rika, with her perfect grades and perfect attendance and her perfect behavior. and so, when the parents pay more attention to rika than their own daughter, it does cause her to lash out quite a bit

i don’t know if she’d go as far as cutting her hair, but she’d certainly pick fights and even go as far as destroying something rika likes. like, maybe cutting up her barbies or ripping out the pages from her favorite book

it takes a lot of counseling and a few rocky patches until rika and the sister begin to make amends

rika and the sister would have a very strong relationship, i feel. they would ABSOLUTELY have one of those talks that go ‘so why did you hate me so much?’ ‘because you were perfect!’ ‘perfect? i was petrified every single day of doing something wrong.’ with lots of tears

would have a VERY close relationship with yoosung. she’d be both his bestie and another sister to him

rika would grow up to be a genuinely warm person without a devil inside of her. i think she would still date v, but it wouldn’t happen as fast as it normally does. like, they start dating nearly as soon as they meet because they’re both desperate for more- v for his artistic stuff, and rika as a last-ditch attempt at controlling her devil

but they would still fall into a very deep and genuine love with each other.

it’s also interesting to note that this would drastically change the character routes

if everything else stays the same, and v still takes saeran and still has saeyoung become a hacker, then saeran would be a completely different person

saeyoung and saeran wouldn’t be able to reunite for a while still, but saeyoung gets a lot more photographs of saeran

saeran would act a lot more like ray- minus the. threatening to hurt himself and all that on v’s route

yoosung would also be the complete opposite of how he is right now. he probably would not have touched lolol, would be very intent on staying on course to becoming a vet

v would not be the self-loathing and anxiety ridden person that he was when you met him. his relationship with yoosung would be a lot better, too. they’d regard each other as brothers, and yoosung wouldn’t be as untrusting of v as he is

i’d like to think mc would still join the rfa, too. maybe rika would convince mc to be a party planner once she and v got married and started thinking about creating a family.

all in all, rika would be a much better person if she got to grow up with yoosung. there wouldn’t be any mint eye, any tragic secrets, any of the shadiness on v’s part.

:; toby has taken a liking to cody and has a bond with him that reminds him of his sister. he likes having cody around because he has someone to rely on and talk to when he’s feeling down. even though toby has a lot of other creeps he can go to, cody is a comfort person to him

:; usually when together, they spend a lot of time in cody’s experiment room. cody is always working on something new and tends to stay awake for long periods of times cooped up until he’s finished. toby is there to keep him company, talk about life, and hopefully stay out of cody’s way when he’s experimenting with some crazy biohazard things

:; toby, however, is very clumsy and always spills something much to cody’s dismay. but cody doesn’t lash out on him like most the other creeps would. sometimes, he lets toby help but it’s harder for toby to be careful with his condition so he’ll sit on a table watching with curiosity

:; they are very alike and still do butt heads in a sibling-like manner but never argue out in the open!

:; if one or the other is feeling down, they go straight to each other to find comfort. it’s nice for them to be able to talk things out and get brotherly advice without being made fun of or picked at.

:; cody is one of the people who can help calm toby when he’s having a panic attack. he’ll sit with toby’s head in his lap whispering to him all the good memories they have together and how he’ll push through. when toby is okay, he’s embarrassed but thankful cody could help him before things escalated

:; toby is a very jealous person, so he does get upset when cody spends more time with someone else. this is just one of toby’s traits, though! if he feels someone he’s close to attention is elsewhere, he will get bratty. but once he’s put in his place, all is good (for a while at least)

:; they look out for each other. if cody overhears something said about toby, he goes all in arguing with the creep to keep their mouth shut. but if toby hears someone bashing cody’s name, he goes for the throat wanting to fight! cody’s much weaker than toby so he will be eventually back down, but toby never backs down! which does result in a lot of asswhoopings, but it’s worth it to him!

:; cody has learned a lot of things he shouldn’t know from toby about the proxies, but he keeps it a secret. he does use some of the information to his advantage though if he wants something from the other proxies

:; sometimes they’ll be put on missions together but they never do what they’re supposed to. they play around, go to bars, get drunk, then remember what they’re actually supposed to be doing! so now they’re not put together anymore as much. they still do these things regardless and have fun spending time together.

:; cody would help zip up/button toby’s shirts if needed! or if he sees he missed a button. he also encourages him to see eyeless jack if the gash in his face is looking a little funny, but also asks to run some tests on it for “research”. toby doesn’t mind

:; they both look up to eachother regardless of age, and are just trying to make it by day by day!

saw the childhood friends ask and lemme sprinkle in a thought bc i'm insane; yasuke and mikan being siblings (these two are not ship obvi for this) and yasuke introducing mikan to ryouko/junko i need you to HEAR ME OUT

The best way to make this idea work, I think, is to have Mikan be a adopted sibling. In a scenario where child protective services removed Mikan from her previously abusive home, only for her to get adopted by mama Matsuda. That way you keep her canon abuse backstory, but give her a lot better life as she recovers from it from a young age. Maybe mama Matsuda is who noticed the abuse in the first place and called CPS on them. (Is CPS still called CPS in Japan? You'd have to research that if anyone wants to write about this.) As time goes on and mama Matsuda loses more of her memory, tiny Yasuke and tiny Mikan would get more and more into medicine together, encouraged by Ryouko/Junko. Mikan already has a base from tending to her own wounds, which maybe Yasuke admires. When mama Matsuda passes, maybe there's a rift between them - with tiny Yasuke resenting her for not fixing her either. I would like to think that rift heals in time, since it's clear Mikan wanted to. But I could also see them becoming estranged from each other, which would be really sad. And probably increase their dependency on Junko.

And oh gosh, Junko. That would be weird, wouldn't it? She'd have a crush on two siblings, which is always awkward. (I can't really talk about that, as I loved both Saeyoung and Saeran from Mystic Messenger despite them being twins...) People have made poly situations work where one person dates both siblings, but. Still awkward, right? (Especially for twins, actually.)

Though it's also possible that Mikan, instead of latching onto Junko who she views as Yasuke's friend, would actually latch onto Mukuro if she's there. Which. Could definitely be interesting, right? Mukuro would probably get into fights defending her, to which Mikan would patch her up. Very cute stuff.

The other way to have Yasuke & Mikan siblings while keeping Mikan's canon backstory (mostly) intact, is to have papa Matsuda be abusive, but that's a really sad idea to me. It takes an already bad situation and makes it much, much worse. He could definitely weaponize mama Matsuda's dementia as an abuse tactic - both with gaslighting her, and using it against the kids. In such a scenario, I'd say that Yasuke is the favored one, and Mikan is the scapegoat. And not because of their merits, but probably... I'm going to say papa Matsuda buys into misogyny, and so just naturally treats Mikan worse. I'm going to say in such a situation that Yasuke inherited his father's hair color and Mikan inherited her mother's hair color, which feeds into the abuse - Mikan is weak like her mother and Yasuke is an extention of papa Matsuda in papa Matsuda's mind. That would turn an already miserable childhood for both into something even worse, I think. Essentially combining both of their backstories. In such a scenario, they'd both really latch onto Junko (and maybe Mukuro) even more. And their relationship with each other would be "complicated" even before mama Matsuda dies, given the family dynamics. They only have each other (and later on Junko and maybe Mukuro) but they're also pitted against each other. I could see it turn out similarly to my Kokichi & Mikan sibling AU, at least at first. The dynamic would be different in the nuances, but Mikan would definitely be jealous and maybe even lash out, leading to Yasuke doing the same.

Junko may even encourage that rivalry, because it isolates both of them and makes them more dependant on her. I also think in a situation where they were raised together from the start like this, the likelihood of Mikan attaching to Mukuro instead of Junko goes way down. The possible catalyst for that happening in the adopted scenario is a situation where Yasuke and Junko are already friends, so Mikan would feel left out just like Mukuro feels. In this scenario, I'm assuming they meet Junko and maybe Mukuro at the same time.

I don't think Yasuke has a canon age, too, so you can kind of have it be whenever you want. So, like. You know. You could have it be the same as Mikan's for the sake of the AU. That could be interesting, to see two sets of twins be childhood friends.

It could definitely be interesting, especially if it gets messy with Junkan and Matsushima in the mix. Mikan would be like, oh, great. It wasn't enough to take our fathers love from me, now you want Junko too?! Could definitely get very complicated.

November 6th

A regular Saturday evening, nothing really special about it. Nothing but a headspace of emptiness in an over accessorized room. Glaring at the wall won’t do anything. You really are useless. The sound of silent voices and the movement of picking on healing scabs. Afterwards, the voices had gotten slightly more quiet and the picking stopped. A girl had finally stopped rotting about in her room, twitching her eye a little. This girl is Riley Nevaeh Taylor Green, or just Riley. She had finally gotten up from just staring her existence away, letting out a huff. She left her room to find where her siblings are, anxiously pulling her curly black hair. Her life wasn’t good since birth, being born with Autism and developing schizophrenia and anxiety, doing repeated impulsive acts. It makes her feel miserable that she’s been cursed with so much. The suicide hotline is basically screaming for a pickup phone call. It ruined her chance to even socialize with anybody. The only place where she could find comfort is with her siblings, her dad, Lizzie, her small friend circle, and Kittayoi. While walking in the hallway, she saw her mom enter from the front door, well, her step-mom Amber, that is. She wore a white collared shirt with a flannel, as well as some regular mom jeans. Riley didn’t like Amber, holding a GIANT grudge against her. When her dad was alive, she was always being cruel to him, pushing him to do things he finds uncomfortable . She would also bring her kids over at times, treating Riley and her siblings with zero respect and always getting the bottom of the barrel. Then after Riley’s dad asked for a divorce, Amber ended up getting her family to murder him. It left a giant scar for Riley and her siblings, making them all become more anti-social and lash out on each other with fear of what Amber might do to them. Sometimes, she tries to be nice to them after the passing, but Riley thinks she’s jealous because Riley and her siblings still have connections to their real mom, Rowan, who takes weekly custody. Riley’s step-mom had a bunch of bags in her hands, the one that caught Riley’s eye was some type of video game sticking out of the bag, begging to be let out of the bag. It looked like…. “Kittayoi?!” Riley exclaimed, rushing over to the living room where her step-mom was. She’s always been a big fan of the brand Tok-yan, her favorite character being Kittayoi, the face of Tok-yan. It was just so… mesmerizing to look at, seeing how happy Kittayoi looked with their friends, doing that all with no mouth. Riley wished it was that easy… It had a little note on it, saying: For Riley =). Riley thought it was pretty nice. Maybe it’s a late birthday gift? Riley took the item that was in the bag, sneaking away to the living room to play it on her 3DS. Riley was super excited to play the game, hoping it was immersive enough to make Riley forget about her troubles. The game was oddly charming, having pretty pixelated characters in bright colors and having space-like atmospheres. The characters also had voice acting, which surprised Riley a little, knowing most of the games she plays just had regular mute dialogue. The story was pretty simple, it was a space adventure with Kittayoi (like always) to fight off Starknutzi, the main antagonist. It was a simple, yet immersive game. It would also help Riley with forgetting all her problems and all the fighting and misery that she had gained from all that had happened. “I wish Kittayoi would take me away from all my shitty problems…” Riley muttered, putting all their focus on the game. Riley thought it would be better, nicer to be trapped in a game of her own. The game would also help her forget about feeling watched by something…. No eyes… No face.. All pale… He’s watching… November 20th

Why does Terry think (lowkey believe?) that the Don “touched” Daniel? The fact that Terry lashed out and said that makes me think this has been at the back of his mind for a while. Yeah, the Don’s…a little too close and too cuddly with his boy, but we all know nothing happened. Maybe Daniel’s just too precious for his own good 😆 Terry almost comes off as being…a little insecure? Jealous too, of their relationship. Then again, Terry comes off as one of those deeply possessive Alphas who can’t stand when their omega even smiles at someone—especially another Alpha, even if they’re family! In another verse, Terry would lowkey be jealous of his own kids cuddling up with Daniel lmao.

The Watsonian explanation for that is simply that they're so close, so freely affectionate with each other, that Terry is:

he's obsessed with loyalty, how can Daniel's not be absolute to him?

He's an Alpha, and he knows from experience the effect omegas can have. Still he wasn't like that with Mandy (is that even true? These two are very, very close, if they are siblings).

I feel that, however determined I am about omegas especially being absolutely capable of having loving relationships with all genders, I would be lying if there wasn't something unique about the relationships between Alphas and omegas. It isn't as strong with Daniel and his two eldest siblings - they grew up with him as a kid brother who got sticky and wanted their toys and who they had to watch out for. But the Don did not grow up with omega family, by and large. And he's besotted with his youngest, in a way that you know you shouldn't play favourites, but he loves him and the boy is so affectionate and there's this hunger for tenderness inside most Alphas, and especially the Don because his life has been so tough. So now to have this sweet, kind, lovely, beautiful darling omega pup that wants nothing more than cuddles and piggyback rides and hugs and kisses, it nourished something inside him he didn't even know he needed. Is that all? Yes, because the Don is a man of great discipline who would never let it be anything other than that. Is that really all, though? No one's ever asked, of course, that would get them filleted, but yes, that is all because that is all the Don would ever allow it to be. Basta. That's his pup, how dare people.

Terry of course has heard many a sordid tale of "kitties" being "touched" by their Alpha parents, or family members, so he would be suspicious about that. Also the idea drives him half frantic, the Don somehow having that over him as well.

Daniel knows nothing like that ever happened, he's never feared it from his Pop, and it really pisses him off that Terry would be thinking something like that about his father, whom Daniel admires and loves so much, as if he wanted to come between them. Daniel is married to him and wears his mark, what more does Terry need?!

The Doylist reason is no, I did not put that in there on purpose, but people kept remarking on it and it is true that there is a lot of footage of De Niro playing Ralph Macchio's Dad, but that is nothing if not suggestive. And then, of course, there are pictures of De Niro with Ralph doing press, and there is still something there between them - great affection from Bobby's side, hero worship from Ralphie's side, and I get a sense that De Niro was trying to contain himself a little around Ralph. He's very ambivalent. Very, very close, in body language, but always turned away - he really never looks Ralph in the eye directly on photos when not in character. People say that is simply Bob being Bob, and sure, he's well known for that, but something about those pictures raises the same questions people have about the Don and Daniel: why the tension between them? I think it simply bled into the story.

As for which detail I'm most proud of...I suppose that's kind of hard to answer! I'm proud of every little aspect of my creations, but I guess if I'm going to get technical and split hairs to figure it out, it would be...I suppose the Relanian pantheon!

They were the hardest to connect with, to realize and to flesh out. But it was absolutely worth it!!! They are incredibly powerful, each with their own virtues, but likewise their own flaws. None of them are perfect, nor were they ever meant to be.

Gaius is patient and caring, but when he does lose patience he is incredibly vindictive, immature, and spiteful. While he is loving, he is also wrathful, and when his creatures turn their back on his, or his siblings, ideals they're likely to find it lashed a thousand and one times over. Fina KNOWS love, and she encourages it in every form, with a deep devotion to honesty and purity of heart, but she is also fiercely jealous, taking out her frustration on anyone who crosses her path, even the other gods. Malor loves stories, and he is creativity incarnate, but so often forgets that the stories he writes are people's lives. He has a hard time seeing them as anything but characters, things to write about. He makes mistakes, and treats them lesser due to this uncomfortably often. Escor is wise, and embodies healthy masculinity, but he is also incapable of seeing anyone as more than a child. Even the other Gods, to him, are children except for his wife Jan. This makes him somewhat belittling, and he's known to treat others in fairly reductive ways. Jan is wise, and embodies healthy femininity, but she is, like her husband, incapable of seeing anyone as more than a child. Gods and mortals alike are treated like children that must be taught, youth that know no better and must be educated on how one should live. She's not as reductive as her husband, but is no less belittling, nor is she less guilty of it. Dinora is educational, she is usually patient, she is supportive and encouraging. And yet so much as a flash of willful ignorance is enough to call down her fury. For those things she views as problematic, she has no patience, and when walking the planet has been known to destroy entire lives over so much as an off-handed comment about not caring enough to learn a topic, or those who casually disregard her attempts to teach them.

Relan's Gods are *flawed* in so, so many ways beyond what I listed here, and *virtuous* in so many ways too. They are beings of incredible power, and their flaws give weight to the reality they govern. They are responsible for all life on Relan. And yet...they have much they could learn from some of the life they rule over.

In Defense of Clace (Something I Never Thought I'd Do)

I used to be really annoyed with Clary and Jace as a ship in TMI. I knew they weren't actually siblings due to spoilers, so that wasn't the problem, I just didn't like how they treated each other. Like, for example, during that one scene when Jace stopped Clary from coming to Idis, even though it might've helped Clary find her mom, because he knew it would've led to the Clave's attention and such. So Clary goes there anyway and Jace decides to instead of tell her the reason he didn't want her there, something in which he has no reason not to tell her, he decides to be really mean to her to get her to leave. Clary, who wasn't even there for Jace and was supposed to be there for her missing mother, decides to leave just because Jace didn't want her there, even though the mission wasn't really about him at all. This kind of represents the whole tone of their relationship really; Jace putting her in protective situations she doesn't want and also getting angry at her because he has no ability to communicate anything, and Clary also not being able to communicate very well and sort of ignoring the bigger picture in favor of her romantic problems. And there were other things too, like how Clary still got weirdly jealous of Simon finding other romantic prospects when she had no feelings towards him, and how Jace decided to think himself a monster because he's 'Valentine's son' despite Clary being Valentine's daughter and not thinking that of her. They both separately and together made me annoyed.

But now, I realize maybe that wasn't fair to them, that I was expecting a bunch of teenagers to have the emotional maturity of an adult. And honestly, the way they acted sort of lines up with their trauma.

Clary's has gone through a lot in a short period of time; her mom got kidnapped, she found out her life might have all been a lie, she's reeling from the ways of this new world, it's a lot. Anyone would've probably shut down or something, but that's not really something Clary can afford to do right now. She has so many strange problems at the moment, her mind might've just zeroed in on the one thing that was at least semi normal to her; romantic troubles. Just thinking of anything she can grasp onto for a sense of normalcy to be able to keep going the next day, to be able to do what life keeps throwing at her.

And Jace. He has a lot to unpack. He was raised by Valentine to be unfeeling in a sense, so any positive or vulnerable emotion he seems to have sends him into a spiral of self hatred, causing him to lash out. When he got out of Valentine's care, he went onto battle over and over again. All in all, he's never properly learned how to handle his emotions and how to communicate them. For all he knows, everyone might hate him for having positive or vulnerable emotions. And perhaps he doesn't think himself a monster just because he has Valentine's blood in him, but also because Valentine actually raised him for a time and Clary wasn't. There's also the thing of thinking Jocelyn didn't choose him to love but choose Clary, thinking this is some sort of proof that he was the bad one, the one not worth saving. This probably feeds into his unhealthy behavior of putting Clary on a pedestal and thinking of himself as trash.

With all of this, their relationship is understandably tense. Clary using this as an excuse to cope and Jace's continuous self hatred and their lack of ability to communicate anything causes a whole disaster.

But through it all, there was still the potential their relationship held. You know that one quote from the notebook movie? "You tell me when I am being an arrogant son of a bitch and I tell you when you are a pain in the ass. Which you are, 99% of the time. I'm not afraid to hurt your feelings. You have like a 2 second rebound rate, then you're back doing the next pain-in-the-ass thing." That's lowkey them honestly. Clary has nerves of steel, and when Jace his pushing people away, she's just like 'yeah okay bitch shut up and tell me what's wrong' They fight constantly and in the worse ways, but they're both still here for each other.

And then, in TDA, it shows them as adults, and it's showing their relationship at it's best. They had moments like it in TMI, but now it really shows itself. There's still good old miscommunication with Clary not saying why she can't marry him, but there's no rage that comes with it from Jace, but rather an odd understanding. While he doesn't know what's going on, there's a trust that there is a reason. And the whole scene of the tent being pulled away during that war and they were just playing tic tac toe, sarcasm in full display, was amazing. This shows how they always had the potential to be together like this, but at the time they were just kids with too much going on internally and externally. But they pulled through that, and they somehow pulled through that together.

The best dad 🥺

Recognize the little girl seen here? That’s Rosalind, or “Rose” for short. I introduced her and her mother (and adoptive sister) in a previous post, but I thought I’d introduce the other side of her family too.

No matter how much Ruth wanted to tell the world her husband was a power-hungry monarch who mistreated her and his children, there was no changing the different story her daughter would tell.

You see, before she was taken to live elsewhere with her mother at age eight, Rose spent the majority of her time with her father, Rowan, and her older brother, Roland.

Rowan may have been a king, but that didn’t stop him from spending much of his free time with his children. In fact, he had this mindset of insisting his children be treated like any other regardless of their royal statuses. He was adamant that no servants be hired for their household, instead wishing his children should be able to be independent and work for whatever they wanted. He wasn’t too strict, though, being a doting father to both his children. He - admittedly, secretly - had a soft spot for his little “Edelweiss”, Rosalind.

Roland - being the older sibling who also happens to be the heir apparent - would get jealous sometimes, of course...

...But Rowan would always try make it up to his son the next day or so with some time just for the two of them.

Rowan wasn’t afraid of being a little silly with his children, either. He was a jovial person by nature and simply wanted them to be able to have a reason to smile every day.

Rowan would even make the extra effort of attending important events in his children’s lives, especially their school events. He just didn’t want to miss a single milestone in their lives! And of course, each and every day they’d come home from school, he’d make sure to give them the biggest hugs and ask them how their days went.

That was, until Ruth made her presence known.

Ruth was much stricter as a mother, dictating each and everything her children should and shouldn’t be able to do. She absolutely despised the way her husband raised their children, especially how he seemed to allow their daughter to be “tomboyish” and act just as wild as her brother. Whenever Rowan would try to defend himself and his children, Ruth would lash out at him, berating him further. It got to the point where he would just back down when his wife spoke as he simply didn’t want his children to witness their parents fighting. It didn’t help that Ruth’s presence just seemed to… darken the room when she stepped into it.

Even Rose, whose energy tended to light up a room, would try to plead with her mother to just… listen to her, if not their father. Unfortunately, even her sheer innocence never seemed to get through to her hardened mother.

But neither Rowan nor his children knew just how worse it’d become, or even why Ruth ended up resorting to what she’d end up doing until much, much later…

Ah, but if you separate them, it opens the door to opportunities. You get to see Vanessa searching for him, being adamant that he’s alive somewhere on the island with them and struggling to keep it together. You can have DJ, the only other one with kids under his care, comfort her, showing support because he knows exactly what she’s going through. If Vanessa has a more ‘siblings’ kind of relationship with Gregory? Then you could have Bonnie also playing the support because his adopted little sister is missing as well. She could be a little jealous if of DJ if a Mini is with them, but feel awful about that thought even crossing her mind given he’s still missing three other kids. The wondering about what he’s doing, making him a little seashell necklace for when they next see each other and being determined to be able to tell him a tale worth telling when next she sees him. She could become the most eagle eyed member of the team because she doesn’t want to miss him.

On Gregory’s side of things, he could help the search as well, insisting that he’s not a little kid anymore and he can take it. If they won’t find Vanessa, he will! The anger and the lashing out when they can’t find her on the island, pushing away any attempts at support until finally, one of the Minis, one of his best friends, manages to get through to him that they will find her and that the people they’re with are good people that just want to help. You get to give him a friendship forged in fire, and the gradual learning to trust, when the only adult he’s trusted for years has been Vanessa. Suddenly, his support circle is so much bigger, and it only gets bigger as they either traverse to a different island or another group reaches them. And you know what? I think he’d love learning all sorts of cool stuff like which mushrooms will send you into orbit and which ones taste good in a stir fry. He’d probably be the first one to think of putting some berries under a box held up by a stick to catch some damn food, or turn any old hollowed stick thing into a spit ball. I don’t think if Vanessa was there, that she’d let him just dive into a pit of mud full of frogs gotta be honest

And you can then give them a giant reunion! The relief! The joy of finally being able to see that they’re okay! Sure, reunions might get old after a while given the context, but I don’t think it would be any less sweet. They could show each other what they learned while apart and they could be so proud of each other for overcoming the challenges that were thrown at them. All those awkward moments where they try to slot back into a routine but they both go about it in completely different ways. A few minor bouts of competition over who has the better ways of doing things. Everyone else talking about what stupid stuff happened to them before they got here, always managing to make one of them life and the other one want to hide their head in their hands.

However, they’re together you end up with a really interesting team dynamic. Why would either of them want to put everyone at risk to try and cross to a different island? Why would either of them want to put the other in danger by agreeing to go along with whatever the rest of the team are doing? It could cause friction, cracks in loyalty with the friends they’re too afraid to go and find, and it would be interesting to find a resolution to that. They could separate from the group, focusing on shelter and safety, trying to signal passing planes and what not while the others explore and search for their lost friends. It’s certainly not a bad idea for them. If anything, it makes the most logical sense, but in a situation like this where emotions are running high? Yeah that could cause quite a stir.

It could cause a stir between themselves too because what if one of them wants to leave and help with the search? What if one of them decides what they’re doing isn’t enough? What if they get in trouble and start blaming each other for splitting off from the others?

Definitely merits for both sides honestly

How does Freddy end up? I imagine he’s also having his own Survival Adventure on a separate island, maybe with a couple of the others?

If there's three or so islands, then I would put him on the last one that's found by whoever the protagonist ends up being. Honestly, if you start with Chica who is childhood friends with Freddy and maybe Bonnie, well, her biggest concern is going to be finding him alive and well, right? Same with Roxy and Bonnie and Monty and Foxy.

He would be on the final island with Sunny or Moon and either Bonnie or Foxy, doing his own thing. The second island would have whoever isn't on the last island, along with DJ and Vanessa.

You then offset the difference in numbers with the five kids that were on the boat: Gregory and the four Minis. Which means the first island trio could have at least one child to to care for through this, while Freddy and his group could have the rest. As Gregory is Vanessa's adopted son, I'd probably put him on the last island, with the Minis split between the first and last.

I could add another island so I could split the kids up more evenly and have that middle island be a little less populated. Nothing's concrete so it just depends how things turn out in terms of plot and relationship dynamics and all that.

Heisenberg and Moreau Being Opposites Analysis:

We know that Moreau’s actor confirmed that when he played his role he interpreted that Moreau was most afraid of Heisenberg.

Which when you you think about it makes sense. Not only does Heisenberg lash out frequently. Moreau probably doesn’t understand Heisenberg in the slightest.

Heisenberg has everything Moreau could want. His Cadou works in his body’s favor, his experiments are successful and Heisenberg is Mother Miranda’s favorite.

So Moreau probably can’t comprehend why Heisenberg isn’t happy.

VS Heisenberg who I imagine didn’t initially hate Moreau but with time began to view him less favorably. As a moronic freak due to the affects his Cadou is having on his body and his blind dedication to Mother Miranda. Despite what she’s done to them.

The fact Moreau so desperately tries to chase after her love and support when she’s not only ready to cast him aside at any minute but Heisenberg as well.

Even the way they view their Cadous is opposite. Moreau viewing it as a gift from Mother Miranda while Heisenberg views it as something forcibly thrusted upon him. In his journal noting, “What a joke. I’ll never forgive her for what she did to me.”

Interesting enough while their goals are opposite they’re both known to isolate themselves and get lost in their experiments.

Moreau’s dedication and Heisenberg hatred prevents the both of them from having a relationship with one another.

Which is what Mother Miranda wanted. After all I don’t believe she could’ve won against them had they teamed up. It’s why she needed Ethan Winters to take care of them. Even quoting after Heisenberg’s death, “With Heisenberg gone, you’ve lost your lead.”

While Moreau and Heisenberg are opposites I don’t think Heisenberg entirely hates Moreau the way he hates Miranda.

I think Moreau’s journal entry is a great example:

“Mother Miranda gave me a Rose jar. No one likes me which is why I thought they would leave me out again. But Heisenberg said that was why we each get a Rose. The ceremony cannot happen without us all there. Mother didn’t seem to care though . . .”

(Which yes he did say to trick Miranda but I still think it’s a nice gesture especially with how it was worded. If anything having Moreau on his side would’ve been beneficial. Sadly Moreau was completely fixated on Miranda throughout this interaction.)

And partially due to the fact unlike Alcina Dimitrescu who is constantly butting heads with Heisenberg. Expressing her displeasure over him being Mother Miranda’s favorite. Moreau doesn’t challenge him in the slightest.

After all Moreau is constantly made aware of his shortcomings which is why he believes Heisenberg is better then him. There’s no point in challenging him.

For clarification I don’t think Moreau hates Heisenberg either. Heck during the argument between Alcina Dimitrescu and Karl Heisenberg, Moreau laughs at Heisenberg’s comment, “Yack. Yack. And if a man’s dick is cut off in the castle—-blah, blah, blah!”

I think Moreau is just jealous of his siblings especially Heisenberg. With lines against Ethan Winters like, “It’s not fair I should be with her not you.” And “You’re the reason Mother doesn’t love me.”

He can’t fathom or accept she doesn’t love him or care for him. So it’s easier to place blame elsewhere. To instead believe it’s someone else’s fault or that he is the problem. That he needs to change, do better. Dedicating his everything into attempting to gain her approval.

Not just Mother Miranda’s approval. Moreau also wants his siblings approval and respect including Heisenberg’s. Quoting, “They’ll have to respect me if I kill you.” “Don’t look at me that way!” “Listen to me!” “Everyone makes fun of me!” “Stop picking on me!” He wants the other Lords to view him as an equal.

Since Heisenberg is Mother Miranda’s favorite his insults and words sting the most. With Moreau throughout the battle telling Ethan “I’m not stupid!” (Something Heisenberg refers to him as). Moreau even calls Ethan Winters stupid as well for being so easily deceived by him.

“I’m the best!” “I don’t want to fail.”

I just find it interesting how Moreau’s obsession with obtaining love and Heisenberg’s obsession with obtaining revenge is what leads to both their demise.

Even their final quotes before death being opposites.

“H-Help me! Mother! Maaaaaaaaaaa—!”

“No, no! This can’t be the end for me! I . . . must . . . kill her!”

THEN: Mark and Zhouxia weren’t the closest when dream was preparing for debut, often the two were pitted against each other which was something they both hated, because of the nature of how they were essentially used, the two took the longest to become close but in 2018 they were very reliant on each other. They had many late night talks in empty studios about how things were going to change when he graduated

Now: Mark and Zhouxia have a very strong bond, they became closest when they were pushed together in SuperM and Mark is very in tune with her emotions. Mark often finds himself incorporating little things that remind himself, the boys and the fans of Zhouxia into any and all dream content, he promises her that one day they will get answers and he finds himself jealous with how she calls WayV her home when in his mind, her home will always be with Dream

Then: Jeno and Zhouxia were extremely fond of each other, they would often be paired together for evaluations and they became close to each other naturally over time. Jeno wanted to build Zhouxia’s confidence and he did so, thus when she was suddenly departed from Dream, it took a toll on him the most. Jeno and Zhouxia became very volatile with each other when they were placed in the same room

RENJUN

Then: Renjun was her safe place, the two bonded fast over the fact they are both chinese and gravitated towards each other instantly. Renjun and Xia were often a duo that were never separated, they would call Renjun’s family and be on the phone for hours, Xia was even labelled their daughter so when she was placed on a hiatus with Dream, Renjun relied heavily on his family to try and piece things together.

Now: Due to how close Renjun is with the members of WayV, it was inevitable that the two would cross paths often, but they were often separated when Renjun would visit their dorm as to honour the fact that it was Zhouxia’s home. Renjun and Zhouxia were the first to talk to one another when it came to them becoming part of each other’s lives again, the two spent hours talking in the kitchen and many tears were shed. Renjun often admits that his biggest regret in life was walking away from Zhouxia and their bond.

JAEMIN

Then: Jaemin loved to baby Zhouxia, and she always let him. They would spend hours together dancing and reading, Jaemin took her home often so the two were like siblings. Jaemin always carried things in his bag for her, and he always knew exactly what she needed just by a glance

Now: Jaemin still has small habits from when the two were close, he finds himself jealous quite often at how in sync she is with her members because in his mind, he was the person who protected her and was always there for her. The two really bonded when they were preparing for NCT2020 but they still couldn’t hold a conversation. The two silently care and monitor each other and even though he isn’t her person anymore, he’s just glad that the two of them can be comfortable with one another

HAECHAN

Then: Haechan and Zhouxia were the dynamic duo that everyone relied on, so when Dream were separated it surprised everyone when they walked into a practice room and the two were at each other’s throats (almost literally, they had to be separated by the oldest members). Haechan and Zhouxia were essentially like twins sharing one mind and you never saw Xia have such a loud and mischievous personality until you saw her with Haechan

Now: Jealous. The two of them are always jealous of other members, for Zhouxia she’s jealous at how playful Haechan is around others and although the two were able to form a close bond again, everyone is still watching them in case they snap at each other. For Haechan, he finds his mood change sour very quick if he hears Yangyang call himself her twin or when he see’s a familiar mischievous look on her face as she pulls pranks on Kun or even Yuta without him

CHENLE

Then: He loved Zhouxia, he always felt himself able to treat her like an older sibling from the day they first met. He loved surprising her with her favourite drinks or snacks just because he could and he would cling to her a lot. Xia was like his home away from home when it come to being a trainee and then an idol, he was always her biggest cheerleader

Now: Chenle is the first to admit that he never stopped caring about Zhouxia, even when everything felt like it was going wrong he still searched for her and her comfort. When he was stressed he would cling to the bear she got him for his birthday in 2017 and he forever uses her favourite perfume of his if he knew or knows he’s going to see her. Chenle was the member of Dream who scolded the others the most, and now that they’re close once more he often finds himself asking for her advice

JISUNG

Then: Jisung had the biggest school boy crush on his noona and he was always teased for it. He found lots of comfort in knowing that no matter what was going on, if he needed her, Zhouxia would always be there for him. She would stay up late with him to make sure he did his school work and would pack extra snacks in his bag for when he would be at school. He was never shy of affection with her and her habit of linking fingers when holding hands actually stemmed from Jisung

Now: Jisung refuses to admit it but he still has a crush on Zhouxia. He was the most timid when it came to reaching out because he felt like when he followed in his hyung’s footsteps of ignoring her he betrayed and destroyed everything she had ever done for him. The first time he held her hand was when he was taken to the hospital for his knee, he simply refused to go anywhere until he saw her and when he called for her, it was the first time any member of dream had actively seen her interact with one of them in person. Zhouxia stayed with him during his entire stay at the hospital and even went home with him for the first few days because he asked her to, despite her busy schedule
