I think ppl could be getting a condescending tone from "reminder that", since "reminder" on here is so often paired with passive aggressive ass posts? but thats. some real chronically online shit, and so many of the comments are paired with thinking youre annoying in a way that implies that it doesnt matter how nice you word you, theyre going to feel very "look at that bitch. eating crackers. tsk" about you.
Anyway. These ppl ought to learn how to blacklist ur url in post content, if it irks them so much to see an innocuous statement about barnacles

How to avoid drama
The TSP fandom is not without its drama and cliques, which every fandom eventually crosses into.
You can avoid it and you should avoid it if you're not a part of it. It doesn't need to ruin your roleplaying experience.
You don't have to side with people, whether they're your mutuals or not. A lot of drama posts demand you interact or reblog to "prove" you're on the good side or to "spread the word" against the 'awful person' they're attacking, but more often than not, drama posts are just meant to bully people without actually protecting anyone.
Suddenly your dash is full of two sides arguing and you might even get angry anons in your inbox asking why you're siding with someone or calling you names.
Some tips to help you steer clear of it are
don't believe he said/she said posts (i.e: posts that just have statements like this person is toxic and you shouldn't write with them)
avoid call out posts. 99% you won't get all of the information anyway and if you don't know what's going on, that's all the more reasons to not get involved
block urls and tags that make you upset or uncomfortable (info below)
delete anons that try to get a rise out of you or turn off anons. You can also turn off messages and replies from non-mutuals (tumblr.com/settings/blog/yourblogurl)
don't let mutuals bully you into choosing a side. if someone demands you side with them or they will block/unfollow you, they're probably not worth keeping around
YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BLOCK AND UNFOLLOW FOR ANY REASON. YOU DON'T OWE ANYONE ANY EXPLANATIONS. PERIOD.
NO one, no matter how close they are, are allowed to make you feel uncomfortable, unsafe or insulted. If they disrespect your boundaries, they are not a good friend.
What if this person is said to be a pedophile/groomer?
If you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, you can block them! But again, keep in mind that he said/she said posts are not proof. If there's concrete evidence that someone is grooming or preying on minors, that's another story.
Note: I've been roleplaying since 2014 and the only time there was a groomer warning was for a fandomless blog that only briefly interacted with TSP blogs.
How do I blacklist urls/tags?
Go to Settings → Account → Scroll down to Content You See. When you filter a post or an url, Tumblr will block that post with a warning label.

What if I don't like that person?
Unfollow, block, soft block, it's your choice. You don't need to help harass anyone.
I'm scared to lose my partners if I don't agree with them / I don't want to lose a friendship / My friend is more important than this stranger they dislike
In the end it's your decision but if your friend is pressuring you to side with them in an argument with the threat of losing their friendship (whether spoken or unspoken), you have to decide for yourself if that's a relationship worth keeping around.
Especially since a) there's no telling if this will be the last time they demand this from you and b) they might turn on you if they decide you did something wrong.
This person writes problematic content / has a rude or hateful OC / tried to kill my character / has fucked up plots / uses a face claim I don't like / writes for a fandom I dont like / writes toxic or abusive ships / etc.
Absolutely none of these give you the greenlight to bully someone or help others bully them. You control your own experience. If you don't like a character, don't interact with them. If you don't like a plot, tell your partner you want to write another one. Something they write triggers you? Blacklist the tag or unfollow.
You are not a knight in shining armor if you get upset at something and decide to try and harass someone off the platform.
Roleplaying is fiction. None of these plots affect any real life people. If it triggers you, you can take the necessary steps to prevent yourself from seeing it.

YEP, HERE WE ARE FOLKS
so. this is a post i didn’t want to write, but here we are. if you’ve followed me for a while you know i don’t like drama / public discourse, but i genuinely have no other choice. i’ve tried to handle this privately to no avail. and while i’d appreciate the word being spread about this person, you’re welcome to block this post or blacklist the tags. i’m not here to tell you who to interact with or start a fight. i’m not here to discouse this or argue. the facts are the facts, and the facts are that this user has stolen from me repeatedly, even after being asked to stop, and has taken credit for intellectual property and an interpretation largely inspired by coping with trauma. massive drama under the cut. sorry folks. i’ve tagged it as ‘long post //’ as well for mobile users.
tl;dr? @cvffeinequeen (whats good?) ripped me off majorly. it’s driving me nuts. tw for ic abuse mention.
on one hand, i thought about not writing this because it’s literally just tumblr roleplay. on the other, writing coco this way, this very specific way, has been a way to cope with my own similar struggles, and the last straw was seeing this person getting credit for their “creativity”, aka the things they blatantly ripped from me. to see someone being praised by unknowing people for taking a story that i crafted from my own hurt, a story that they’ve gutted and repurposed so they can roleplay with it instead of coming up with something of their own, was the absolute final straw. not to mention that if they’ve stolen from me and gotten away with it, it’s not unlikely they’ve taken from other sources as well. maybe someone else will come forward, idk.
if any of the screenshots or links below are not conclusive enough, feel free to come to me and i will try to get you better ones / answer your questions. this is a long post, but i’m not about to call someone out for the first (and hopefully last) time without bringing some hard ass motherfuckin proof. my old blog (tadmean.tumblr.com, or tadmean-a.tumblr.com if the first doesn't work) is available multiple times on the wayback machine if you need to check some of these for yourself.
for context, i found this user in the coco adel tag through an edit. i always like to see duplicates (it gets lonely being the only coco), so i clicked the url to see what their blog was like and maybe follow if they were cool with that. immediately, something stank. on closer inspection, i realized their bio was ripped directly from mine and reworded—examples below. bear in mind that they have changed their blog background color since then, which is why some of the caps dont match the current blog; it used to be this shade of red (?), now it’s a brownish pinkish color. the bio has also since changed, but i’ve included the three different versions. i sent these screenshots to a close friend the night i found this blog, as well as to another friend a couple days later / a week maybe? so that’s why some of these are discord screenshots.
BIO POSTS: ( pt 1 ) ( pt 2 ) ( pt 3 ) ( pt 4 ) ( pt 5 ) ( pt 6 ) ( pt 7 ) ( pt 8 ) ( pt 9 ) ( pt 10 ) ( pt 11 )
screenshots in hand, i instant messaged them and let them know i saw what they were doing. screenshots below:
DM CONVO: ( pt 1 ) ( pt 2 ) ( pt 3 ) ( pt 4 ) ( pt 5 ) ( pt 6 ) ( pt 7 ) ( pt 8 )
NEW BIO AT THE TIME: ( pt 1 ) ( pt 2 ) ( pt 3 ) ( pt 4 ) ( pt 5 ) ( pt 6 ) ( pt 7 ) ( pt 8 ) ( pt 9 )
BIO AS OF NOW ( 11 / 29 / 18 ): ( PT 1 ) ( PT 2 ) ( PT 3 ) ( PT 4 ) ( pt 5 ) ( pt 6 ) ( pt 7 ) ( pt 8 ) ( pt 9 )
past this, we just agreed to be mutuals and that, i thought, was the end of it. sure, the bio wasn’t all that changed, but they’d seemed to realize the error of their ways and i was naively optimistic.
from here, it temporarily got better. then got way worse. whether it was formatting ( x, x ) ( x, x ), ( x, x ) the names of tags ( x, x ), ( x, x ), personalized tags ( x, x ), musings posts ( x, x ) ( x, x ) (these being just a few), etc. this user has mimicked my blog to a T. but this is all just context. the thing that i’m here to talk about, however, are headcanons. i started writing coco as a way to cope with my own trauma/abuse & personality disorders; it started from the thought that if a strong character like coco can manage it all, then so can i. and it’s not like we have a whole lot of canon content for coco that might lead people to the same conclusion about her life—coco is a character that has maybe? 30 mins to an hour (being very generous) of overall content? the things i’ve written about coco is not stuff you can conclude from her canon material. period. she’s essentially an oc based on five seconds of material. if you have any doubts, remember that: coco has essentially no canon content or backstory. almost everything on my blog is a headcanon. that said:
LIST OF A FEW STOLEN HEADCANONS:
stole coco’s troubled home life as an heiress ( x ) and how she runs away later in v4 ( x ). this is the biggest one.
coco’s father has been the main antagonist of her story (way before weiss’s bg was revealed, or jacques was really even a character). this person has not only ripped off coco’s bad home life, but ripped off her father being the particular antagonist ( x , x ). they’ve also mentioned the similarity to weiss’ story but i can’t find the post. however, because this is ripped off, there’s no reasoning for why he’s the worse of coco’s parents. this is a common theme with this person: they take a headcanon and remove the fat from it so it’s not as recognizable. this also removes the context and reasoning for the headcanon.
ripped off small bits and pieces off my page: like coco barely sleeping ( x , x ), often getting detention ( x, x ) (something that’s not mentioned in their bio), sweet tooth ( x , x ), scars ( x, x )
coco’s full name being something she only gives to people she trusts ( x ,  x ) or people who would have it off her record, since it’s a reminder of her family.
oh, the best one! i posted a headcanon post specifically to literally see if they would take anything from it, and they did! blatantly! here (hair hc: x , x ) and here ( x , x, x , x). a link to my post: x and theirs: ( x, x )
in their bio, they write that these are headcanons they’ve been writing for years. well, funny enough, lots of the things they’ve taken are things i posted and started writing about years ago. so i guess in a way, that was honest. throwback thursday!
let me be clear: if you’ve interacted with this person, or if you didn’t notice, or you noticed but didn’t say anything, you’re not the bad guy. in these situations, the bad guy is the thief. period. i realize to some people this might seem silly, but i’m extremely sick & disabled and cannot work or really do much of anything; writing coco convincingly and making her relatable has essentially been my job, my sole motivation, for these past 3-4 years. i’ve poured hard work into this interpretation, only for someone to come along, butcher it, and claim it as their own. to you, it’s not a big deal, but to me? it’s years of work, stolen.
i hate to make this post. i hate serious posts, i hate drama, i hate anything that might discourage someone else writing for coco. i love duplicates! i’ve never had any issues before! but this person isn’t roleplaying as coco; if anything, they seem to be roleplaying as a version of my blog. which, not cool but also, creepy.
so, yeah. please dont send anon hate their way, this person is still a minor. but being a minor doesnt make theft okay! apparently we still needed that said out here in the rpc. thanks for reading guys, peace

I'm already kind of dreading this fandom once the season starts. I won't say what, but a spoiler is going around and people are already getting into a tizzy and holy crap is it exhausting. I've been trying to curate my dash because I love this show and I'm just sick of all the negativity and freaking out. There's you and a few others who are absolute rays of sunshine and I really appreciate it!
First of all, thank you. I appreciate that compliment very much
Re: spoilers, I’ve got everything blacklisted and I’m pretty sure I’ve still seen it going around because some people (who I’ve now unfollowed) don’t tag their spoilers. It’s annoying, but what can ya do. I hope people will be more considerate during the season if/when additional spoilers come out, but I’m not holding my breath. All I can do is unfollow, blacklist, and continue to remind y’all I DONT WANT SPOILERS please and thank you.
We’re at that point in the hiatus (an extreeeeeemely long hiatus, at that) where we’re starting to go a little haywire, I think. The premiere is so close yet so far, and we’ve kind of forgotten what it’s like when the show is actually airing. Even apart from the end of hiatus craziness, fandom can definitely be exhausting, sometimes in good ways (like AMM!! We did that, y’all!), sometimes in…not so good ways.
The best way to avoid fandom fatigue is something you’ve already done: curating your dash. I’ve unfollowed/blocked people for big reasons (they constantly start drama and attack people) and also comparatively small ones (I don’t like the way they talk about one of my faves and I don’t want to see that on my dash). It’s silly to get so divided over things the way we do sometimes. There’s room for a multitude of opinions and interpretations in fandom…or there should be. Blocking/blacklisting/unfollowing is a crucial way to create that room. If more people did that instead of engaging in “discourse” (I don’t mean civil debate, I mean inflammatory rhetoric driven wank) we’d have 75% less drama.
It doesn’t have to be personal. I have no problem blocking people I’ve never interacted with if it’s the right call for my mental health…and I wish more people thought that way tbh. If I vehemently disagree with someone’s opinions or rhetoric to the point that seeing their url pisses me off, I’m gonna cut them out of my fandom experience, not hijack their posts or try to start shit. I don’t own my favorite characters/ships/shows and I can’t control the way people think about them, so why bother trying?
Fandom is entirely what you make of it. You don’t have to follow or talk to anyone no matter how “big” they are in the fandom. Seek out other fans who create and reblog content that makes you happy. There’s a tendency on this site to focus on the negative, and while I definitely agree that critical analysis is an important (and cool, and fun, and dynamic) part of fandom, it’s not all I want from my fandom experience.
And fandom is supposed to be fun. If there are any blogs you follow that prevent your experience from being fun, give ‘em the boot. It doesn’t mean they’re bad people, but your mental health should take precedence over everything else when it comes to fandom. You’re not obligated to follow anyone or partake in any discourse no matter how important the majority of the fandom might deem it. Don’t want to get bogged down in the constant meta debates? Scroll on past. Hate seeing character X’s face on gifsets and edits? Blacklist their tags. Annoyed by blogger Y’s sense of humor? Unfollow or block them.
You don’t need a moral justification to like or dislike characters or ships, and the same is true of bloggers and fandom trends.
Anyway, sorry for the tangent. I’m personally really excited for this coming season, and though my fandom circle remains pretty limited I’m looking forward to chatting with more like-minded people like yourself when the show returns. We’re so close :)

one more time.. another rules update
I do not get involved in drama if it can be avoided. I have ‘drama //’ and 'callout //’ blacklisted for my own comfort. The only instance in which I, personally, break this rule, is if it involves myself, my friends, or has affected the community or the rpc in a major way. This is ALWAYS tagged.
I do not condone callout culture, but I do approve of callouts if they’re NECESSARY. Read: they’re not over trivial matters, and have substantial evidence as a warning to why [insert name/url here] should be blocked/avoided. In any other instance, I much prefer discussing any issues one on one, rather than going to such drastic measures.
October and this week of November has been complete shit. Not just for me but also for my friends and possibly even for you. I am extremely sorry for my behavior and the state my blog has been for this past month. It has been nothing but personal issues left and right and honestly at this point I am nothing but tired.
If you choose to be friends with Vak, Aku, or even Sonny even after everything that has happened. Go ahead. I'm not here to police you on who you can or cant be friends with. I'm here to develop my writing skills and spend time with my friends and people I consider my family. But if you think that MY FRIENDS are in the wrong and YOUR FRIENDS did nothing and they're right then please dont talk to me. I'm sick of people treating my friends like THEY'RE the abusers in the situation when they're NOT. Take at least five minutes out of your day and read the callouts that have been posted about your so called angel of a friend. If you really want to avoid and ignore every single shitty thing your friends have done to everyone then fine. You do you. Just stay away from me and stay away from my friends.
This will hopefully be my lost post involving this sort of thing for a very long time. Things will hopefully get back to normal and this month and December is more calm and chill for everyone. Again, I'm sorry for those involved and who had to witness everything from a tough spot. Its not your fault things like this happen.
With that said those who were involved or are currently dealing with someone who is harrassing/abusing/threatening/etc them then know I care about you. Talk to someone. It isn't you being petty, it isnt you being whiny, its something that I recommend you get out of as soon as possible for your own safety. Maybe a callout isn't needed. Forget making a callout. Your health and safety is more important than a fucking callout. If you think you and that bad person can talk this out IN PRIVATE then go ahead. But if things don't seem to change then leave. It will do you better in the end than staying with someone who is bound to hurt you again.

gonna comment on the discourse?
no thanks dude i am here for a Mildly Fun Tumblr Experience
heres a few key ways you can do that:
blacklist
blacklist whatever you want!!! people dont have to know what you blacklist unless you tell them so dont be ashamed to blacklist anything you dont want to see
ships, characters, fandoms, urls, etc etc etc
it will improve your experience guarantee it
(also note: if youre like me and click the ‘show post’ button whenever something gets blacklisted, you can choose not to display blocked quotes at all and save yourself from opening things that you know will upset you)
theres nothing wrong with blacklisting stuff. youre never silencing anyone or ignoring a problem, youre choosing your internet experience and saying ‘hey i dont want to see this right now so im not going to’
dont like oranges? sick of seeing them on your dash? blacklist them. more power to you
block people you dont like/who upset you/who you have problems with
im still working on getting better at blocking people but honestly?? if someones bringing lots of negativity in your life just block them. you dont need them messing up the already usually unpleasant tumblr experience
find a squad
this might be harder but dont be too afraid to start messaging people youd like to be friends with!!
once you find a squad heres somethings you can do:
make new friends! comes with having a squad but is always nice
rant/salt
now youve got a private place to complain about stuff nice!!!
this keep stuff like that off your blog, meaning youre less likely to get into arguments on here which we all know...isnt fun
have people you trust to debate with without all of the internet chiming in
youve got people to hold you back from sending/posting things that could start stuff
or not
maybe theyll encourage it who knows
youve got a nice little space with people you like where you can talk about fandom stuff and personal stuff and youve got much more control over it than over your dash!!
dont tag hate
this is like tumblr 101 BUT tumblr has changed how tagging and searching works in the past few years
love this functional website
say you make a post criticizing character x and y. their ship name is xy, so you tag it with “anti xy”
stop!! halt!! do not pass go do not collect $200!!!
because you used “xy” in the post/tags, it will show up when “xy” is searched, even with the “anti” in front of it
that means if someone searches “xy” theyre gonna find your crit, and you probably dont want that
and going off of that:
tag appropriately
some ships just gotta be tagged differently than others, im sure you know what i mean
but in general?? if someone asks you to tag something?? usually the best bet is to do it
its not a huge deal and youre probably already tagging the post anyway so its easier for everyone if you tag it, plus!! youre making people more comfortable!!!
tumblr is a mess and frankly? usually theres a lot of stuff that make it not fun. but you too can make your tumblr experience a Mildly Entertaining and Enjoyable one

Did your caption get deleted from my blog?
When I have a computer I will give this post it's own section on my tumblr.
I haven't been on tumblr for a year or two and when I came back on I have joined a different community and lost my old blog. This new community seems to have this extremely weird fixation with having the caption underneath a photo to remain through all reblogs. This was not a thing the last I was on tumblr.
I would like to state first and foremost that only two people have contacted me being upset about this. EACH of those two people made NO effort to ask the caption be returned, made NO effort to ask why, and made NO allowance for me to respond back before blocking me. THIS IS NO WAY TO GET WHAT YOU WANT!?
Not only did I learn this action from tumblr, but in my opinion, I hold legitimate reason for doing so. That of which I may explain later, if I decide these psychos deserve an explanation.
Seriously, what the actual fuck? Why the actual fuck is this a fucking issue? Like what? People have blacklists for this shit are you SERIOUS lmfao? Whaaaaat!? I honestly think its kind of funny but I'm also really fucking annoyed lmfao.
I didn't even know this was apparently wrong lmfao? Everyone wants to attack you rather than ask or explain lmfao. Psychopaths!
*I also believe in anarchy, so any form of trying to penalize me for this rather than just ASKING me to do what you needed is going to make me intentionally not do it that much more, so please keep in mind that its your own rudeness preventing things like this from being resolved. Ask nicely and I just may*
Moving forward, though. So there is this LOVELY thing on tumblr called a "source." The source option on a photo allows you to link your tumblr blog to the photo in a way where your URL becomes a clickable link underneath the photo, as well as the photo itself also becomes a clickable link back to your own tumblr. This feature was designed so that in the event a caption is removed, your credit of the photo will always remain. There is also a second option, more reliable, as a source can be changed. That would be to watermark your photo. Watermarking your photo means editing it so that the URL of your profile is listed on the photo itself, in the event that the photo is reposted, source is changed, etc. These two options alone should be enough in most cases to have your photo credited. That being said, this is still the internet, you post your personal photos you will always risk them being stolen, unfortunately.
Contrary to that, I DO understand that in some cases a photo may need multiple forms of credit, or a caption necessary to further explain a photo, etc etc. There are times where a caption may feel kind of necessary.
That being said, I DONT feel it necessary to leave captions such as "i love this wig," "got weed?," "Come smoke with me," "this is cute," etc. etc. etc. At no point is any of that necessary to credit your photo, in which case it isnt necessary for me to reblog that with it.
Which brings me back to, why the actual fuck is that so damn important to some people? Like man, talk about letting little things bother you.... I am beside myself that people get that worked up about it. Sorrynotsorry I didn't care what you personally thought of the damn picture? I do leave credit for photos necessary as well as couldn't give a shit less if someone deleted one of my captions. Lol. I don't even watermark my photos. I honestly don't care. Someone deleting the caption on my photo would be the most meaningless thing that could ever happen to me.
Another thing I am confused about: I have only ever experienced this in the tumblr-stoner community? The one fucking group of people thats supposed to be chill as fuck? Like what? Y'all angry as hell lol take a fuckin dab or meditate or something cuz y'all need to chill the fuck out. I'll tell ya the real-life-stoner community is a wholllllle lot more laid back than the tumblr-stoner community. I really dont get it. Yall just chill. Its not that big of a deal I swear.
Mind you, I am a professional photographer with almost a decade of experience. I DO understand crediting photos. Truly, in so many ways, I do. However, I don't get why its so important that everyone knows you thought that tree looks cool. Especially with how many other reblogs have the caption. And one not bothers the hell out of y'all? I literally have 40 followers and I've used this account for like two months lmfao relax. You arent missing anything. I get stoked when someone reblogs a post from me. Like me deleting it has no affect aint nobody even finna see it lmao. Because my ONLY assumption is that you are super desperate for followers and likes [popularity] so that you must be super extra sure that everyone knows you posted that photo? Literally my only guess. Why else could it bother someone SO much?
Okay I GUESS. so why do I delete captions? Literally because I run a themed quality blog and it deminishes the quality of your overall blog to have text posts. I really dont wanna give away everything I do to make my blog look pretty but that and strictly high resolution photos. Its like my two biggest things in running my blog. I cant even begin to say how much sometimes I REALLY wanted to reblog a photo and didnt because it just wasn't sharp enough. It is what it is for me. Sometimes I cant even do what Id like just to uphold it. If you find that untrue look at my blog. To the very beginning. No text posts anywhere (well, rarely), but every source remains. I have EVEN gone out of my way to find original posters when I see someone has stolen their photo, so I can reblog from the original post. I cant tell y'all how many blogs I follow that repost y'alls photos. And yet I get attacked for deleting "look how pretty the shatter is" when theres a blog who didnt just delete your caption, but took away your source AND put their own caption. Lol. To be honest its such olllllllddd news to delete text posts and its sad I even have to explain this to the new generation of babyboomers on tumblr.
Stop ruining tumblr and being hateful.
This whole website is supposed to be a loving home for the land of misfit toys. Not have blacklists where you spam people with hate and blocks over the most petty bullshit? Especially when you never asked to resolve the issue in the first place and only attacked the person. That makes YOU the asshole, not me.
ANYWAY, so how can we resolve this? Well, if you, for some reason, need a caption returned that you feel had credit to it, message me without blocking me immediately after, so I can know which photo. It literally would take me a few seconds to remove the old photo and reblog it again. All you had to do was ask!
