BEST FRIEND ── MONA ︰ Mona and I met at our first year of High School (EU system). We clicked almost simultaneously, her dramatic personality paired well with my more down to earth one. She was absolutely in love with astrology and the zodiac signs, and we did many fun things with our horoscopes. She often gave me tarot cards readings! ( ↓ click more )
RIVAL ── CAPTAIN BEIDOU ︰ Beidou was the Captain of the Girls' Basketball Team. She was very popular and very well-liked amongst schools' population. In my opinion, the tales about her are all greatly exaggerated. We didn't get along back then, because she was always doing moon eyes at Lisa, my girlfriend, I always caught looking at her. She was infuriating 🙄 worst thing is, that she got along with everyone like a bundle of sunshine, so if I breathed a honest word about her I would have a army after my throat. She also had no respect for education, a subject I was quite cross with her a tremendous amount of times. She always brought beer to drink during breaks and burped right into my face afterwards to annoy the hell out of me. She wore leather bracelets to hide the prominent veins around her wrists which I found weird, she is weird. A tactless weirdo! I don't even know how she got a better grade at History and Mathematics' compared to me. And she should stay away from Lisa.
EX-GIRLFRIEND ── LISA ︰ Lisa and I knew each other since middle school. We got along like a house on fire, and I was absolutely delighted when she asked me out on a date. She always called me a cutie + darling when we spend time together in the library. It was for us both, our favourite place. Even though sometimes I couldn't handle her... vigour, I was more than grateful that she... taught me many things regarding... human nature. But like everything else in the world, good things must come to an end. After graduation, Lisa got accepted to the prestigious Sumeru Akademiya, while I was accepted to Liyue Dàxué. She broke up with me and after that... I fucked up.
ONE NIGHT STAND ── GANYU ︰ After Lisa broke up with me, I was left heartbroken for days. I couldn't go out of my room, I listened to sad music all the time, I could barely read my favourite books, and I love to read! I couldn't function properly, but my best friend Mona told me I needed to start moving on. She took me to a farewell party for high school graduates, and that was where I met Ganyu. She was the cutest, and the way she looked at me... how could I not kiss her? The wine must have gotten into my brain because next thing I knew, her godsend thighs were wrapped around my waist and I was kissing her against the wall, muffling all her addicting whimpers and quiet moans. I didn't know however, that Lisa was at the party —— which was stupid of me, we were classmates after all. I could never get over the heartbroken expression on her face as she took a step back, and then another, until she ran into the arms of... Jean?
"Was that your ex?" Ganyu whispered in my ear, and I glanced at her, seeing concern in her face. My eyes softened, rubbing her back reassuringly.
"Yeah..." I admitted quietly. "I'm sorry for this-" I was cut off by Ganyu silencing me with a long peck on my lips, and the gentleness of it surprised me, until I willingly melted in her embrace, letting her erase the thoughts of Lisa and Jean out of my mind.
UNREQUITED LOVE ── ROSARIA ︰ Months passed, and I started having a huge crush on the assistant of my religious professor, Rosaria. She was two years older than me, and I once caught her smoking at the Unis' backyard. She was very pretty... okay, she was very hot and I would have loved to see those stockings up close. I wouldn't dare though, not when she...
IGNORES YOU ── ROSARIA ︰ ... ignores the entirety of my existence. Even my good mornings go ignored by her. Mona wouldn't let me live it down!
FIGHT AGAINST ── KEQING ︰ Turns out, my crush on Rosaria was so obvious that she herself knew, and told her... girlfriend. Keqing was my senior, and before I knew it I was dragged forcefully into a storage closet. She pinned me against the wall, and glared at me with such irritation that I had to double take.
"Listen carefully," Keqing hissed, her voice low and poisonous against my ears. "You stay away from Rosaria. I don't care what excuse you may think you have, but if I see you so much as glance her way again, we are going to have multiple problems."
"Whoa, whoa! Hold on, what are you-" I panicked, is this girl crazy?!
"I, don't care how charming you think you are!" she spat, catching my wrists in a deathly grip. "I don't take kindly to people being homewreckers for fun."
I froze, my heart falling into pieces. "What?! No, what are you —— you... Rosaria... she's taken?" I rasped out, feeling a lump on my throat as the realisation started creeping in. Shit. Shit, shit, shit.
Keqing eyed me suspiciously. "You didn't know?"
I shook my head, no. My eyes suddenly felt watery, and I looked away from the purple beauty in front of me. I clenched my fists. Great, just my luck, no wonder she ignored me like that. I- shit, what have I done? "No... I didn't know. I would never..."
"Then let's not make this more of a bigger issue, it should remain this way, don't you agree?" Her sharp eyes pierced into mine, and I nodded. She didn't glance back once as she turned to leave, and I could only slid down to the floor once I was alone, wrapping my arms around my knees, trying for once again to get over heartbreak.
SAVES YOUR LIFE ── MONA ︰ Mona has saved my life more times than I could remember, than I could count on my two hands. I always had the tendency to get into trouble even when I don't want to. Mona said it's Capricorns' karma, I say it's because of my love for actual intelligent debates, and all inclinations to avoid misplaced childish confrontations.
MARRY ── CAPTAIN BEIDOU ︰ If you asked me I would tolerate being in the same room with Annoying Beidou 7 years ago, I would have called you crazy in front of everyone. But now after we started studying to become Historians together we... grew closer. It was infuriating at first, because she was so... happy all the type, a ball of energy, and always annoyed me in one way or another. Looking at her back then made me tired, it was laughable. It is even more laughable because now... now I'm married to her.
"I told you not to try to make dinner while drinking, Beidou!" I called, voice dripping with amusement.
Beidou's voice floated from the kitchen, her characteristic cheerfulness muffled thanks to the cacophony of clanging utensils. "I'm fine! I'm fine! I may just knocked over' a glass or two... or five."
I rolled my eyes, not bothering to respond as I went back to my reading. I sipped my hot chocolate quietly, savouring the sweet taste of my wifes' making.
A few minutes later, Beidou entered the living room with a shit-eating grin on her lips, her eye gleaming. I felt my stomach drop.
"I may or may not have overestimated my culinary skills! But! Wait!" She silenced me when she noticed me parting my mouth, to which I clicked shut in surrender. "I didn't burn anything this time!"
"Wow, such a big progress, I'm so proud of you," I drawled.
Beidou scowled, jumping over the furniture so she can crawl over me, snuggling into my lap without hesitation. "You're always so mean to me!"
My eyebrows rose, and I couldn't help but laugh. "Are you whining? Beidou, Captain of the Crux, whining over a little mean comment?"
She turned her head towards me, still in my lap. My hand went to the nape of her neck unconsciously, rubbing the no-doubt strained tendons. I completely ignored her heated glare upon my being, a small smirk gracing my lips.
"You hate me. I don't know why you even married me. Is it love or insanity? It must be insanity," she decided the answer herself.
I didn't hesitate. "Both, most likely to definitely."
She narrowed her eyes at me.
I grinned cheekily down at her.
"Bloody Brainiac," she muttered, snuggling further into my stomach and wrapping her arms around my waist in a hug.
"Annoying Sunshine," I muttered back, leaning down to kiss her cheek lovingly.
"My sunshine."

self-care night (sevika x fem! reader)
contents: after the battle and after losing jinx and isha, you take it upon yourself to take care of sevika, giving her a much needed quiet night. total fluff, you and sevika are married, post seaosn 2 finale, sevika is finally taken care of like she deserves <3
wrd count: 1.6k
a few mornings ago, sevika had her first day on the job as a councilwoman.
caitlyn gave up her seat on the council to give sevika the opportunity to speak up for zaun.
she came home that evening angry as anything. the other councilpeople acted like she didn't even exist.
and when she was able to speak up, her requests went in one ear and out the other.
when she received the opportunity to have a seat on the council, we were thrilled. but after that day, she's been trying hard not to blow up on everyone and confirm their suspicions of what would happen with a zaunite on the council.
tonight, i made her a warm and filling meal and set up the bathroom with candles and pleasant soaps so she can take a relaxing bath.
i was sitting on the couch reading a book when she came home.
she closes the door and looks up at me. "hi." she mutters.
"hey. another long day?" i ask her gently.
"tch.. you tell me." she joked. she sat down at the kitchen table that was just beside the front door to yank her boots off her feet.
i close my book and placed it aside before walking over to her. as she struggled to untie the laces of her boots, i cupped her face so she could look up at me.
"sorry, honey." i muttered before i kissed her. "at least you get the weekend off." i said as i looked at her face. she smiled gently before i crouched to untie the laces of her boots.
"hey, i was doing that." she chuckled as i threw them on the doormat. "i'm not helpless."
"just let me take care of you." i smiled. i look at her once more. "why don't you wash up for dinner. i was able to make your favorite tonight." i said to her as i stepped away to check on the food on the stove.
i hear her come up beside me and take a look at the food that's simmering.
"damn.. all this for just us?" she said.
"yeah. i know you skipped out on lunch, so you must be starving." i said as i stirred the meat on the saucepan.
"how'd you know i skipped lunch?" she asks me. i looked up at her. "i always do. now, go. wash your hands." she laughs softly before washing her hands in the sink.
i quickly plate everything for her and place ehr food at the table just as she sits down. once i set everything down, i went to plate my own food.
i turned to go sit down and i saw she hadn't touched anything in front of her. didn’t even move to pick up her fork. "what are you waiting for? eat." i chuckled.
"i'm waiting for you, dummy." she chuckled, picking up her fork. i smiled at her as i settled into my seat.
dinner was quiet but nice. i left music playing on the radio as i watched her enjoy her meal like she hasn't had one in forever.
"this is.. amazing, honey. shit, i was starving." she said after slamming her cup of water down. i chuckled lightly.
"i can tell." she smiles softly at me. after she got some food in her system, she talked to me about her stressful day as she waited for me to finish my meal.
"they don't know.. anything about what life is like down here. hell, half of them think we've grown up in sewer pipes." she said quickly.
"they cannot be serious." i shook my head lightly. "you would think they're stupid at first glance." she jokes.
"maybe once they have someone with common sense on the council, they'll make better decisions."
"yeah.. it's gonna take a while though." she hums. i watch her soft expression that is rarely ever seen. i love my wife.
after washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen, i went nad ran the bath for her while she was occupied in our room, cleaning her mechanical arm.
once i lit the last candle and turned off the lights, i went to our room to see her at her desk tinkering with the screws and nooks and crannies of her arm.
"hey, vika?" i said softly.
"hm?" she looks up at me from her device. "i ran you a bath. come on." i muttered
she smirks over her shoulder. "oh yeah?"
"don't be gross. it's not like that." i chuckled.
"oh.. damn.." she grumbled. "come on." i laugh. she follows me to the bathroom and i stand, leaning on the doorway
"you can stay there for however long you want. just relax, alright?"
"whoa.." she gasped lightly at the acne in the bathroom.
she looks down at me. "i- you didn't have to do all this." she hummed.
i shrugged. "you're right. but i wanted to."
she smiles. she wraps her arm around me while i do the same with both of mine.
"i don't deserve you. seriously." she hummed after planting a kiss on my head.
"yeah, you do." i said softly.
i sat in our room while sevika took her bath. as i was flipping through the pages of my book, i remembered i had gone out and bought a scrub. at a shop up on topside, so it's bound to be good.
i found it and went to the bathroom to give it to her. i knocked before walking into the dimly lit bathroom. she was sitting in the bath with her hair guarding her eyes from being seen at the side.
"i bought this scrub today and thought you might like it." i said softly. “you did? why?”
i sat on my knees as i unscrewed the top of the bottle. “it reminded me of you. here, smell." i said to her.
i held it up to her nose and she took a quick whiff before humming. "it's nice.. like pine." she said.
she went to grab it but i pulled it away. "let me." i said.
"come on, honey. i can clean myself just fine." she chuckled softly. "no one's saying you can't. i just wanna do it for you."
i look at her eyes before moving her strands aside. "you can't get your back anyway." i said.
she rolled her eyes. "alright.." she hummed. i got up to find a stool and sat on it as i took a seat beside the tub, sitting behind her.
the smell of snowy pine trees quickly invaded our noses as i massaged the scrub into her scarred back.
looking at her muscles and scars, i imagined what it must be like to be her. to experience her life.
her mother died at birth, father died even later. no siblings to mourn with her.
a best friend turned boss. now dead also.
two young girls that were like her daughters, dead too.
i feel like if i followed that same fate, she would end up offing herself.
so much loss in her life. and she still stood strong every day without fail.
"why are you doing all this?" she spoke up quietly.
"hm?" i said as i rinsed off the soap crystals.
"the dinner... the bath, everything you did tonight." she said.
"i'm your wife, vika. it's what i enjoy doing." i said softly.
there was a beat of silence.
"it feels strange being taken care of like this. " she admitted.
i poured water over her back again, watching the tiny crystals fall into the water.
“i know..” i said softly.
she shifts in the water, bringing her knees up to her chest.
"sevika, you've devoted your entire life to bringing justice to our people. i've watched you take care of others, put their lives over your own.." i said, glancing over at her scarred stub that used to carry her left arm.
i gently massaged the scrub over it, letting the scent sink into her skin.
"it's like that's all you know how to do." i hummed.
"after a while, you forget how to do anything else." she said quietly.
"that's why i want to take care of you. while you learn how to pick yourself up again." i said, pouring water over her shoulder.
i’ve reminded her of this since we first got married. while she tells me she believes me, sometimes it slips.
“you know, people look at you and see a terrifying old woman who can kill them with just a look.. and you are.” i said, to which she laughed softly.
“but when i look in your eyes. when you hug me in the night when ere sleeping, all i see is a sweet girl who’s in need of love. and i want to give it to her.”
“so, while you're out there looking after the lanes… i’ll be here at the end of every day to take care of you.” i said.
i rinse off the last of the soap from her shoulders and leaned back slightly.
“okay?”
she’s quiet for a second but turns her head slightly. “yeah.. okay.” she hums.
i moved from my seat and sat next to her. i reached out to her chin and turned her head slightly to kiss her cheek. “i love you, you old softie.” i muttered.
she looks at me with tears welling up in her eyes.
“i love you. so much.” she said quietly.
i held her face in my palm as i scanned her face before i kissed her lips. i pull away from her and smile softly. “you finish up here, alright?”
i left her int he bathroom and waited for her in our bed.
it was slightly cold, i just put on the freshly washed sheets, a new fuzzy blanket, and lit a candle that made the room smell like sugar cookies.
she was dead asleep in seconds.
a/n: i need to put sevika in my pocket, i love her and she deserves the world.

my assistant - eminem
fem!y/n x Marshall Mathers
masterlist
synopsis: Y/N is Marshall's assistant. They're close and best friends until something goes wrong in her life...
A/N: hi! I know it's been a while, i've been super stressed with finals and stuff but i'm finally back on track and I wrote this. there's more to come since I have a ton of requests to have fun with! hope you enjoy this one. and i'm so glad to hear you liked my writing!
-Marsh!
-What?!
-Dre’s on the phone for you! Something about needing you to re-record something!
Marshall groaned from his office. Y/N giggled at his antics, he really could be a grump at times. She continued to put away files and work on his busy schedule, something she’d done every day for years.
Y/N had been Marshall’s assistant since what felt like forever, and it sort of was. Ever since his career took off, she’d been by his side. She did her job well, and never gave anyone on the team any reason to doubt her abilities. Not to mention she was always the go-to for advice. Marshall was always asking for advice; situations big or small, his mind always went to call Y/N. And his kids did the same. And his friends. And his team.
The public always wondered about their relationship, about what happened behind closed doors. “She and I are just close friends. That’s all.” And truthfully, that was all there was to it. They were friends. Though he’d often find himself wondering and daydreaming about what it’d feel like if they were more, he always stopped himself before it could get any deeper. He knew she deserved better. She was smart, kind, and hilarious. Surely, she’d find another man more attractive and muscular and smarter and funnier. Surely, she wouldn’t want a man like him. But, in actuality, they were both stuck in a cycle of feeling this way. She felt he deserved someone who related to him more. Someone prettier, someone more famous. Why would he want an accountant when he could easily have a bombshell?
Everyone around them knew how they felt about each other, except, apparently, them. They knew each other inside and out. Marshall knew all of her nervous tics; like her lip biting, finger picking, leg bouncing, pen tapping, and arm crossing. And, in return, she knew all of his icks; loud chewing, gum popping, loud singing, loud speaking, fingernail tapping, and slurping. They could read one another like books, unless, of course, it came to romance.
Y/N had been to enough family dinners at his house to know this. She was basically a Mathers herself. She became a Mathers when Hailie got her first period and Marshall had no clue on what to do. When she told him what to buy at the supermarket while she washed Hailie’s bed sheets and clothes. When she helped Hailie with her first breakup. And she became a Mathers when Marshall started his journey with sobriety and she was with him the whole time. Marshall admired her greatly. He admired her bravery and courage, her kindness and empathy, her ambition and perseverance, it seemed like everything life threw at her, she could easily push past it. He respected her a lot. He also respected how much a perfectionist she was. She made sure her nails were properly painted and if not they looked well groomed; cuticles always cut, nails long and strong, filed to perfection. Her hair was done meticulously, clearly also well taken care of. Her skin had a light glow to it. Marshall admired this for years. He admired and respected every aspect about her, she was like family to him.
However, like friends and family do, there were always a few quarrels. When Y/N was on her period and already in a sour mood, and Marshall decided that would be a good day to be a brat and complain about everything. Y/N adored him, but he could be really childish at times. He whined one too many times and she’d snapped at him. It escalated into an argument that Dre had to promptly break up. Or when Marshall was upset because he had writer's block and Y/N asked if it was really that hard to write a song. He snapped at her too. But, in the end, they always made up. In all honesty, it was usually Y/N that would fix things. She’d go over to him and no matter who was right or wrong, she’d say it was silly and smack him upside the head for staying upset.
The symptoms started mild. A bit of dizziness and fatigue. Walking up the stairs got harder, standing up suddenly quickly became a threat. Marshall and the others had noticed it, but decided not to mention anything. Health business is private business. Then, she started getting weaker. She was fatigued after just walking from the office back to her desk. She got pale. She no longer had that glow to her. Hailie asked Marshall what was wrong, but even he didn’t know.
She was always short of breath. When she talked, she occasionally slurred her words. She’d stumble through the hallway, just trying to make it back to her desk. This went on for months. In the beginning, Marshall took the pallor and fatigue as stress and exhaustion from work. He no longer complained, instead taking on some of her duties in an attempt to alleviate her. He saw nothing changed, in fact, it only worsened.
She started having heart palpitations. They became more frequent as the weeks flew by. When she’d hug her friends or set a hand down on someone’s arm, they’d notice that they were cold as ice. Her nails, something she once cared for, were now brittle. Her hair, once shiny and well put together, was now thinning and falling like a withering tree in the fall.
Almost a year had passed since the symptoms started. It was a somewhat normal day in the studio. Y/N walked in with Marshall’s weekly schedule in hand. Today, the windows weren’t coated with curtains like they usually were. Today, Marshall saw Y/N in the natural light. He noticed how pale she’d become. How her hair was now messy and thinned. How she looked almost malnourished.
He loved her the same, but he was concerned. He asked her to sit beside him on the couch, looking towards the others in the studio. Certainly the others had to have noticed her dire state. She sat carefully, moving slowly in an attempt to not exhaust herself too much. Her eyes darted around the room in confusion. Why was everyone looking at her like that?
She sat there for a while, when she realized she needed to finish a document for Paul.
-Shit!
-What? What’s wrong?
-I need to finish that paper for Paul. I’ll see you guys later.
Y/N stood up madly. Suddenly, she felt her body numb slightly and her eyes roll into the back of her head. She felt dizzy and everything around her felt surreal. She attempted to take a step forward, but instead, her entire body fell forward. Next thing she knew, it all went black.
Marshall saw her stand up. She looked like she was going to hurl. She fell forward and with a thud, she hit the carpeted floor. Everyone in the room ran to her. There was a bustle of voices. Pandemonium broke out. Someone called an ambulance. Marshall couldn’t remember much, but what he did know was that now he was sitting in a hospital lobby. Awaiting any news about his best friend.
The realization settled in. The panic came along with it. He realized that his best friend (and sort of the love of his life) was in a hospital bed right now, unsure of whether or not she’ll make it out of here. He knew he couldn’t lose her.
-It’s anemia. Her case was pretty severe, since it was left untreated for 11 months. She had an iron deficiency, most likely from not eating properly. It could’ve become deadly if she’d left it untreated for too long.
-Anemia?
Marshall couldn’t believe it. All of the signs were there and he never did anything about it. As soon as they let him know she was conscious, he ran into the room. He saw her in the bed and felt a wave of emotions. He felt sad knowing that she was hurting, he felt happy that she was okay, and he felt rage that she let this get that bad and that he hadn’t noticed.
-Hey, Marsh.
-Hey. Did you know you had anemia?
-Wow. Straight to the point. Um, not specifically but, like, I knew there was something wrong.
Marshall started to become upset. How was she so casual about this? If anemia is left untreated, it can result in death.
-And you didn’t do anything about it?
-Well, no. I didn’t expect anything serious?
-The doctor told me that you could’ve died if you didn’t treat it. And he said it was because you weren’t eating. Why weren’t you eating?
-Look, Marsh, I just assumed that it would go away after a while. I didn’t even notice it had gotten that bad. And I mean, I haven’t really had an appetite. I’ve been working a lot and I just think I was stressed.
-Well, you should’ve told me you were feeling overworked! I could’ve helped you! You could’ve died Y/N! Doesn’t that go through your head!
-I’m sorry! I didn’t think it was that deep!
-Yeah? Well it was. You can’t keep doing this to yourself. I came here thinking you got some crazy disease. I was so worried.
-I can’t control my appetite Marsh. And you didn’t have to come.
-Yeah, well, when you’re on your deathbed, alone, you’ll wish you might’ve listened to me.
Y/N’s mouth stayed slightly ajar after that last comment. How could he say that to her? He saw the look on her face and immediately regretted it. He knew he was doing wrong. He knew that it was a terrible thing to say.
-Look, Y/N, I’m so sor-
-Get out.
-What?
-Get out, Marsh. Leave.
And leave he did. He went home that day and had a long night of processing. He concluded that he had a point, but he should’ve phrased it better; he also should have picked a better time to say it. But he didn’t want to apologize. For some unknown reason, he couldn’t find it within himself to go to her and apologize. Eventually, a week had passed. He figured that she’d come to him soon and they’d make up. However, he was proven wrong when he received an email that Paul had forwarded him that morning. The title read “My Resignation”. He began to panic, calling her and sending her countless texts.
He then called Paul, hoping it was a mistake.
-Look, man. I don’t know what you said or did to her, but it must’ve been pretty fucked up. You better go apologize to her now.
Marshall quickly hopped into his car and drove to her house. He parked his car in her driveway, seeing she was home. He knocked on the door furiously, hoping to get ahold of her. She opened the door only a few inches. Enough to see his face. She was about to close the door when he pushed it open. She stumbled back a bit.
-What the hell do you want Marsh?
-Look, Y/N, I came to apologize. I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner. I'm so sorry. I didn’t mean any of the bullshit I said. I was just scared. I never meant to hurt you or make you feel bad. Especially since you were the one in the hospital bed. When I was the one in trouble, you never did any of that shit to me. I’m so sorry Y/N.
Y/N sighed deeply. As upset as she was with him, she couldn’t stay mad. She was starting to look like her old self again, Marshall realized. She got her glow back, her hair was looking thicker; she looked like she did before. Still a little thin, but back to somewhat normal.
Y/N smiled weakly. She knew she couldn’t be mad at him forever, and this was silly. Marshall looked at her face, smiling, and he realized just how much he loved her. He looked at every feature he’d fallen in love with; her eyes, bright and curious, her lips, pretty and cute, her cheeks, slightly indented with all the smiling she does, but still beautiful. He knew he needed her, and without thinking, he leaned down and connected his lips with hers. It was passionate and sweet. The kiss contained all the words that need not be spoken. When he pulled back, she was smiling like an idiot, wide eyed.
He knew that from then on, he would love her a little harder.

B. I don't remember my wings that well, but definitely closer to a lighter shade. Perhaps bronze or sandy brown
C. I was a lower ranking angel, tasked with observing humanity. Not intervening
D. See above
E. I didn't fall, I reincarnated to earth as a human being and I still consider my species to be an angel
F. I remember being in a beautiful garden at some point. My mind felt light and airy, and I "felt" things around me with spatial awareness instead of objectively viewing it. If you asked me to describe a single plant or creature in this garden I wouldn't be able to.
G. I resonate with the element fire because I was born in December. My dad was sick with cancer when I was born, and they told him he might not live. After I was born, he got better. I always attach this to the transformative power of fire, and my angelic abilities are still attached to me in utero.
H. I'm a biblical angel, so I guess more likely the Christian god. I don't remember him though, just a faint memory of Him being present.
I. I feel I became confined to earth after observing humans for so long. I think at some point I wanted to be involved more than I was, so I decided to join.
K. The advantage of being an angel on earth really depends on your definition of an advantage. My definition is having more freedom, being able to touch, see and experience the world like a proper mammal rather than like a divine being. You miss out on a lot when you lack the 5 senses.
L. A disadvantage. There are many. When you're an angel, you don't get tired, you don't need to go to the bathroom, you don't need to eat. Suddenly all these things that make you human become an exhausting task that you have to be involved in, all the time. There are more, but I want to keep this short.
M. I was around during the holy war. The crusade before crusades. I remember a few angels starting to feel less angelic over time, and it was like a ripple effect amongst the loyal. Suddenly, the side I was on with my brother Michael felt less and less like the winning side, and more like the side you pick when there's no better option. I desired the same freedoms as the other side but I suppose I was too cowardly to take it.
N. No one around me knows my identity. I feel like it's unnecessary to tell anyone. I can never go back to what I was. The best thing I can do is live my life as heavenly as I can in my current life.
O. Funnily enough, I started suspecting i was something more at a very young age. I didn't know quite what. I remember having mental shifts in the church growing up, and having visions about winged creatures when I was around 10. I discovered angels outside of the Bible and for the first time I felt like these things were the best thing I could use to describe myself.
P. Lol. I was hoping this question would come up. O fortuna is at the top of my list. It always gives me chills. Any songs in Latin or slavic-based languages always makes me go into mental shifts.
Q. To feel angelic, I watch movies with angels in them, read books with angels in them, exercise and ride my bike to just feel the wind against my face. I go to the park with a long black coat on and listen to music, and just watch people. Sometimes I talk to them, but not often because I can be quite introverted.
R. See above. I also veil on occasion, especially when I'm around religious buildings or graveyards or when meditating. (I do not pray to the Christian god)
S. I'm not repelled by religious buildings. I'm also not attracted to them. But when I step inside a place that has been cleansed, anointed or used for worship, I can get mental shifts and my vibration raises to the point that I believe that religious figures and children can feel.
T. Good question. Unfortunately I don't know what my halo looked like. I'm assuming it was closer to light than a physical object, maybe light that my divinity gave off. Like a rainbow spectrum or pure white. 🤷‍♀️ no clue.
U. If I did, I don't remember.
V. Not prophetic dreams, but I've had vivid dreams and nightmares about snakes, naked human beings, violence, starvation and fire. I have had many dreams of what I believe to be pre-flood events on earth, where animosity & disbelief became more rampant between Him and humans.
W. Nope
X. Anywhere that has a beautiful garden. I also like fountains, aquariums, the forest and jungle
Y. Nope
X. I remember being in Europe at some point. I don't know exactly where, I just remember hearing some francophone language being spoken, and there was a lot of political unrest. Unfortunately, the details were never that important to anyone, and as I've mentioned before, I didn't see things the same way as an angel as I do now. My best guess would be middle ages or less. They seemed to be very complicated with the Catholic church back then.
I hope you enjoyed my answers as much as i enjoyed answering them

The Ghost of Lovell Hill - c.s.
Cairo Sweet x fem!reader
"You live in Lovell Hill?"
"You know it?"
"I just didn't think it was occupied by anything except ghosts."
Summary: Winnie brings a ouija board to Cairo's place, Cairo sees someone she didn't expect to see ever again.
Warnings: Descriptions of injury, death, and aging
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cairo is sitting by the window of the by the stairs with a book. It's a dark day today, thunderstorms expected to last till tomorrow. She sees Winnie approaching the house under an umbrella.
Cairo heads down the stairs to get to the front door before Winnie can knock, her house, or more so her parents house, is gorgeous. It's old but has been well kept.
"Winnie, what is that?" Cairo opens the door, looking at what she is holding with a look of skepticism.
"It's an ouija board, duh." Winnie says with a dumb smile plastered on her face.
"I mean why'd you bring it here?"
"You said somethin' about Mr. Miller assuming nothing but ghosts lived in your house so." Winnie extends the o when saying so while bringing the ouija board closer to her face. "We find out."
"Whatever." Cairo moves out of the way of the door so Winnie can come in.
"What? you're tellin' me you're not curious?" Winnie asks with a look of curiosity.
"No, ghosts aren't real Winnie." Cairo starts the ascend the staircase with Winnie following behind her. "Besides that was exaggeration, I don't think Mr. Miller believes in ghosts either."
Winnie sets down the ouija board on Cairos bed, sitting in front of it. Getting ready to use it.
"I said no Winnie." Cairo says with a hint of annoyance in her voice while grabbing her laptop before finding her spot on the bed.
"What, afraid you're gonna be possessed or somethin'?" Winnie says teasingly.
"No, like I said ghosts aren't real." Cairo says will grabbing a cigarette. "We have school work that we need to work on."
"I'll only be a minute" Winnie says while putting her hands on the planchette.
"Are there any spirits in this house?" Cairo rolls her eyes while she starts typing on her laptop.
The planchette glides over to the text saying 'Yes'
Winnie's eyes go wide in bewilderment. "Holy shit."
"What? did you hand move whatever that is to the yes?" Cairo says with a smirk. "You're not gonna fool me."
Winnie looks towards Cairo with a serious look, an unusual look for her, before she goes to ask another question.
"What's your name?" The planchette starts to glide over the letters to spell out Y/n.
"What's the supposed ghost's supposed name?" Cairo asks, not lifting her eyes from her laptop.
"Why should I tell you? I thought you didn't believe in this stuff." Cairo shrugs her shoulders at Winnie's response, she didn't care enough to argue.
"How old are you?" The planchette glides back down to the lower section of the ouija board with numbers, hovering over 1, then 8.
"They're 18, maybe they're single." Winnie sayings jokingly to Cairo.
"Oh haha." Cairo says with a straight face, reaching to put her cigarette in the ash tray before the ash tray suddenly flies off the table.
"What the fuck was that?" Cairo exclaims before putting her laptop aside to pick up the ash tray.
"What do you think? I'm over here talking to spirits and junk and you think science and reason pushed your ash tray off your night stand?" Winnie looks at Cairo, raising an eyebrow.
"What you were being serious about what the board was sayin'?" Cairo stands, quickly walking to leave the room. "I ain't fuckin' with no ghost."
Right as Cairo was about the leave her bedroom door slams shut. Cairo jumps back, tripping over her own feet, and falling onto the floor.
Winnie gets up to look at Cairo. "Are you alright?" Winnie looks back to see the planchette moving on its own this time.
Winnie quickly heads back to the Ouija board to read what you're spelling.
"Come to the garden?"
Cairo quickly stands up and looks out the window to the garden in the backyard. There is a silhouette of a girl in a black dress holding a lace umbrella that shouldn't last two seconds in that storm.
A flash of light fills the garden for a moment, highlighting the silhouette, followed by the crackle of thunder. She was beautiful, contrasting the intimidation of the storm.
Winnie gets next to Cairo and looks out the window. "Did you see anything?"
Cairo glances at Winnie and than back out the window.
The lady was gone.
The door to Cairo's bedroom creaks open slowly, a lamp on the other side blinking.
Cairo slowly approaches it, when she's close enough the light turns off. Cairo quickly looks down the stairs when she sees another light flashing.
The stairs felt longer than usual as Cairo descended the staircase. Each step feeling louder than the last.
Winnie soon catches up, carrying the ouija board in hand.
When Cairo finally catches up to the light, the door to the garden slams open. The sound of rain filling the house as the wind carries it. Another flash of light seen out the door, soon caught up with the loud snap of thunder.
Cairo sprints towards the door, hands blocking the rain from hitting her face. When she finally gets close enough to close the door Cairo is meet with a sudden push.
"Cairo!" is the last thing she hears before falling on to the ground.
Cairo is now on the patio near the garden, it is deafening quiet besides the sound of faint waltz music and the smell of rain is gone. She looks up to the sunlight blinding her.
After her eyes adjust for a minute, she stands up and sees the garden decorated for a party. The flowers in full bloom, showing their off their beautiful white and pastels.
Cairo turns around to open the door, only rattling the door knob. She inspects her wrist to find shes not wearing the clothes she was wearing before. She was wearing a beautiful green lace dress.
"I was waiting for you!" It was the girl from the silhouette Cairo saw from the window. She picked up the bottom of her beautiful black lace dress while ascending the few steps between the patio and the garden.
"Come dance with me!"
Cairo finds herself being dragged by her hand to the center of the garden. Cairo looks at her face and faintly recognizes it.
Its you.
It has been years since she's seen you last, but as she's dancing with you, looking at your face again. The memories come rushing back.
-
Cairo was 14, her parents were finally back home from whatever country they were staying at for work. They were throwing a party for the little they would be home for. Cairo invited you as her date to the party.
You arrived to Cairo's house in a black lace dress, it was beautiful and you adored it.
You also hoped Cairo would adore seeing you in it.
Your knocks on the door were soon answered by Cairo's father.
"You must be Y/n! Cairo told us all about you." Cairo's dad makes room so you can get into the house.
"Thank you."
You enter the house and look around, there's a lot of noise and it's all the more overwhelming without Cairo by you side.
"Y/n!, you made it!" Cairo makes her way to the door where you were stood awkwardly.
Cairo is wearing a beautiful green lace dress and it's ten times more beautiful now because Cairo is wearing it.
You felt Cairo's eyes on you as well, admiring you.
"Cairo!" you grab Cairo into an embrace, too embarrassed to give her a kiss in front of her parents. You see her all the time but every hug means so much to you.
"I know you don't like these kinds of things, and I don't either, so it means a lot for you to at least suffer with me." Cairo let's go of the embrace and looks you in the eyes.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world." You give her a patient smile.
You and Cairo head out to the garden, hand in hand.
The garden is filled with people in beautiful dresses and handsome suits. The flowers in full bloom, mostly white and pastel colors, as it's spring. There are string lights above the center where everyone is dancing to the waltz music.
Cairo let's go of your hand to offer her other hand in a dance.
You find a smile creeping up onto your face as you take her hand.
You both enjoy your dance for a few minutes, getting lost into her eyes and the music. It felt as if you two were the only people in the world, until someone knocks into Cairo with a red drink, most likely wine, spilling it all over her dress.
You let go of Cairo while she moves her arms by her shoulders with her mouth open, gasping at the sudden wetness on her dress.
"Oh my, I'm so sorry." The man says while running his hands over where he spilt the wine, making it ten times worse.
"It's fine it was an accident." Cairo hiding her annoyance as she faces towards you.
"I'll be right back, I'm gonna. you know." Cairo motioning over her dress.
"It's cool, I'll just be waiting here." You gave Cairo another patient smile as she walks past you into the house.
A little bit of the wine splashed onto your shoulder earlier, but you didn't realize.
Suddenly the music felt so loud, like you could feel the music gently touching your skin. You started getting goosebumps as everything felt so much more sensitive.
Someone bumps into you, suddenly you feel the wetness of your dress on your shoulder. The murmur of the people drilling into your ears.
The tapping of shoes, the smell of flowers, the uncomfortable high heels, feeling like a sore thumb in a pool of strangers. Every thing together was just too much for you, you were overwhelmed.
Your eyes start getting glossy at the over stimulation as you soon grab the base of your dress and start running to the gate of the backyard to go to the only spot you could think of to calm down.
There was an abandoned treehouse by a river in the woods behind Cairo's house. You and Cairo would go there to hangout when it was a beautiful day outside.
It became a safe space for you over time and it was the only place you wanted to be right now. Not even Cairo's touch would make you feel better. You just needed to be alone for a minute.
You climb the ladder into the tree house, sitting under the window with your legs to your chest as you start crying.
You couldn't hear it over the sound of your tears but the aged and weathered wooden floor underneath you started to creak.
The floor underneath you caves in as you fall through, first landing on your tail bone, instantly starting to swell, before falling backwards towards the river, hitting your head on a root by the river before falling in.
You're surrounded by the water you use to find comfort in, no idea what was up and what was down. Your dress tangling your legs together.
The aching of your injuries soon faded as you gave in and the let the light beyond your eyelids fade.
Cairo goes back to where she left you, to end up confused on where you were. She searched through out the garden unable to find you, and then the whole house.
By this point she is starting to panic, where could you have gone? She rushes to the telephone to call your house.
"Hello, y/l/n residence."
"Is y/n there?" Cairo says with fear in her voice.
"No, she said she was going to a dance, why who is this?" The voice behind the phone asks, their tone now laced with concern.
"It's Cairo, she was just at the dance and now I can't find her. I assumed she couldn't handle it here anymore and went home." Cairo's voice now carrying panic instead of fear.
The phone line goes dead, the other side hanging up.
Cairo runs through the house, back to the garden. There was one place she didn't check, the abandoned treehouse, their safe space.
Cairo has never ran so fast in her life, her feet aching due to the heels she was wearing but she didn't care.
You were the only thing on her mind.
She climbed the ladder as fast as she could.
"Y/n!" Cairo shouted as she got high enough to look inside the empty tree house. She sees the hole but assumes it's just natural weathering.
She climbs down the ladder and looks back at the house to see red and blue lights alternating. There was a police car in front of the house.
When Cairo gets back to the house a police officer approaches her.
"Were there any places you know she would go to feel safe?"
"The only place I know of is the abandoned treehouse behind the house, but I just checked to see if she was there and she wasn't."
The police officer is writing into a notepad.
"Stay at the house until further notice, got it?" The cop gives Cairo a stern look until she nods. The police officer heads towards the treehouse while Cairo waits in the garden.
A few minutes pass and she hears the sirens of an ambulance approaching.
The ambulance goes through the grass and Cairo stands up to watch as the police officer from before is approaching back with a face he's trying to keep serious and stern, but there is a layer of sadness behind the mask.
Everything doesn't feel real, the silence is deafening as she watches the officer talking to her parents before the officer glances at her than walking away.
Her parents slowly approach her with sadness written in their faces.
"Cairo, we have some bad news about your friend." Her dad starts while putting a hand on Cairo's shoulder.
Cairo looking back and forth between her parents eyes, her eyes getting glossy feeling like she already knows what they're going to say.
As much as she didn't want to hear it.
Her dad sighs, looking at her mother for a second before meeting his eyes back to Cairo's.
"They found y/n's body a little down stream past the treehouse."
Body, y/n's body.
This was all Cairo needed to hear before the tears instantly starting to break through her eyes.
You were dead, you died because someone spilled wine on Cairo.
"No! it can't be." Cairo wraps her arms around herself before falling onto her knees, sobbing into her forearms. Her arms covered in her tears.
She needed a hug, but she didn't want one from her parents who are never home, not even for her birthday.
She desperately needed comfort, but now that you're gone there was no one to comfort her.
There would forever be a hole in her heart from the loss of you. She felt more alone now than before she had you.
-
Cairo felt a hand go to her cheek, as a thumb was wiping away a tear.
"It's okay, I'm here now" You give her a gentle smile as you sway her to the music.
"I-" Cairo was interrupted by her own tears avoiding eye contact.
"I missed you so much." Cairo says with all the emotions in her body, reconnecting the contact to your soft gentle eyes.
"I missed you too." You gave her a patient smile before continuing. "I waited so long for you, and I would've waited an eternity if it meant I can see your eyes once again, to feel your touch."
"I don't want to lose you again! I can't lose you again!" Cairo screams, her hands moving to lightly pound onto your chest.
"You won't ever truly lose me, I won't be able to be here forever while you're alive, but there will be a time that we'll see each other once again."
"Before I go I want you to promise me something."
"Anything." Cairo looked longingly into your eyes past her tears.
"Live your life to the fullest, the way you want to live. I don't want to be a burden to you." You started and paused before saying your next words.
"Live a life I couldn't." You grab Cairo's face with your both your hands, raw emotion in your eyes. "Could you do that for me?"
Cairo stared into your eyes for a moment. "Yes, of course I'll do that." The tears somehow stronger than before. "I love you."
"I love you too." You say, tears streaming down your face as you pull Cairo into your last kiss for a long time, the world fading around you.
-
Cairo wakes up in her bed, Winnie looming over her quietly.
Cairo instantly burst into tears hugging Winnie, Winnie looking around confused before hugging her back.
"I'm gonna miss her so much!" Cairo sobs into Winnie's shoulder, Winnie still confused as to what happened.
"It's gonna be okay, I got you." Winnie is running her hand through Cairo's hair comfortingly.
She didn't need to know what was going on, she just knew Cairo needed her in this moment.
Pretty soon, all of Cairo's tears went dry. She was exhausted.
Winnie laid down with Cairo as she fell asleep, speaking words of good affirmations in hopes of guiding her to good dreams.
-
Some time passes, Cairo gets accepted into Yale University through describing her story with you and focuses on an English Major.
After graduating college she publishes her first book, "The Ghost of Lovell Hill." Which tells the story of a girl who is haunted by her past lover.
On the bottom of the book cover near to where it says "New York Times Best Seller." it says "Based on True Events." Along with a note in the back of the book saying "Dedicated to Y/n Y/l/n, may we meet again soon."
Some years go by, Cairo has now published multiple books, being a successful author. Her friends are always curious about why she never goes on dates, and she always tells them something like "My standards are high." or "I'm not just interested in dating at the moment."
Truth is, she only wants you. And she's willing to wait an entire life time for that to happen.
Her friends start having families and children of their own. Cairo remains single and determined. No one could compare to you in her eyes.
The years continue to fly by, Cairo's hair is starting to get thinner and paler, her skin not as young as before. Her friend's kids are now starting to have children of their own. She has lost contact with a lot of her friends, but she doesn't mind being alone.
The room is silent, filled only by the sound of the heartbeat monitor. Cairo is hooked up to multiple machines, her hair grey and skin aged. She is dying alone in this hospital bed, but that doesn't matter to her.
Pretty soon, she'll never be alone again.
She closes her eyes, accepting the embrace of death. She lived the life she wanted, just like you asked. You were never a burden to her, you never could be a burden to her.
She is satisfied with life.
The sound of the heartbeat monitor stops.
Cairo opens her eyes slowly, she's back at her old house she lived in in high school, Lovell Hill.
She gets out of bed, realizing her body doesn't ache the way it use to. Before approaching the window in her room.
She looks like how she did when she was younger. Her hair healthy and thick, her skin young and smooth. She looks past the reflection to find you, sitting patiently in the garden.
Cairo practically leaps down the stairs, running to the garden door, and opening it with all her strength. You stand up and stare at each for a moment, until Cairo runs into your arms.
"I did what you asked!" Cairo sobs into your shoulder, gripping the back of your shirt.
"I lived my life the way I wanted to." Cairo raises her head from your shoulder and grabs your face, longingly staring into your eyes.
"I missed you so much. I'm so happy I have you again after all these years."
"I missed you too, but you were worth missing." You say, tears streaming down your face, taking in every feature of her face before holding her tightly again.
"We have each other forever now, that's what matters." You say, comfortingly running your hand through her hair.
Cairo let's go from the embrace, holding your hand for the first time in awhile. "Let's go inside, I can tell you everything that happened." Cairo sniffs with a smile, her eyes puffy from crying.
Cairo guides you into the house, admiring you one last time before opening the door.
a/n: guys idk how this story happened, I was watching Millers Girl and heard Mr. Miller say something about how he thought only ghosts lived in Cairo's house and thought it was a good idea for a fic. then it turned into this somehow I'm so sorry. either way, my brain is so fried, hope you guys enjoyed :)

Christmas in Hell
a very hazbin christmas, full of joy, cheer and a party for the ages
Alastor x reader
Reader needs the perfect gift for Angel Dust but has to ask a certain someone for help. Just a little fluffy holiday special.
You would think after death the holidays wouldn't be very important. In hell, especially you would think since they're not big fans of the big guy in charge that they wouldn't celebrate a certain someone's birth. Well Charlie Morningstar was not going to let those facts ruin her super-duper fantastical holiday party.
Christmas Eve
Despite the lack of Christmas spirit Angel Dust was booked and busy letting Santa come down the chimney in a few special videos to be released the next day. Even though his stocking was being filled early you, as his best friend, were stressing over the perfect gift to get him.
Earlier in the week, Charlie has gathered everyone in the hotel to the main space where she had set up a giant tree that reached the ceiling. Charlie and her partner Vaggie, covered in pine needles and wearing lumberjack clothing, held Husk's hat full of folded slips of paper open for the circle.
"Hiiiii everyone! Hope you're all merry and ready for a fun group bonding exercise!" Charlie began.
She was met with loud groans and signs. "Shut up and listen to Charlie she put a lot of work into this," Vaggie huffed with rage.
"Thanks Vaggie. Anyways, I've set up a secret Santa for everyone to- HEAR ME OUT OKAY yes so you'll choose a name and then on Christmas we'll swap gifts and it will be so fun!" Charlie explained while passing the hat along and giggling and staring you down when she picked a piece of paper.
Since you had died quite young, your family hadn't make it to Hell yet or they made are in the place above, so you haven't celebrated since making your way to the after life, so this sounded like fun. But you couldn't resist a playful eye roll as you chose your paper reading Angel Dust to yourself.
Husk groaned while picking from his hat and then placing it on his head, "I thought through death I escaped obligatory in-law get togethers but now I have this shit."
Fast forward back to present day you were still stuck on what you could get him. Adult toys? No give him a break from work. Drugs? Not that you want to encourage that habit. Nifty had been no help when you asked. Muttering on about bad boys and cleaning. You didn't bother with asking Husk. Sir Pentious was still being coached on the whole secret Santa concept. Vaggie and Charlie had too many good ideas but none felt right for Angel Dust. This left you with only one option.
Knocking twice on the radio demon's door, your face twisted with instant regret and immediately started back down the hallway. "Leaving so soon? Now here I was thinking you saved the best for last." The gaze of his knowing smile burned the back of your head as you swiveled around.
"Sorry Alastor it was stupid idea I'll leave you to do... whatever you were doing."
"Nonsense my dear! Why I'd be happy to help my favorite guest with a gift for a certain effeminate fellow!"
"How did you-"
Alastor let out his practiced laugh, "Discretion is not one of your strengths (y/n)."
Your cheeks set alight hearing Alastor call you by your first name, no pet name or teasing nicknames. He held the door open and you avoided his gaze while leading inside. The great radio demon sauntered over to his large cherry wood desk inside his room and sat in a leather cushion maroon chair. Due to the lack of seating options, you hovered near the edge of his bed while le smiled and motioned for you to take a seat with a teasing glint in his eye.
Mustering up the courage to break the silence you asked, "I thought you didn't allow visitors inside your room."
Twiddling with his microphone cane Alastor responded, "I can make exceptions."
"I don't have any VoxTek on me by the way. Just in case you wondered."
A sound came from him, almost like a real giggle but you must of been mistaken. "I know (y/n)."
"Well since you seem to know everything what would be the perfect gift for Angel Dust that will show I'm a wonderful friend?"
"I can only give you hints, would spoil the game if I told you."
You groaned and fell back against the bed. Of course coming to Alastor was a mistake. As if an overlord would want to help silly you buy a silly gift for a silly holiday.
"Cheer up dearie! You're closer to the answer then you might think."
Eyebrows furrowed and dread he might make a fool of you, you asked him for the first hint.
"Something to do with your weekly film Friday events perhaps?"
"It's actually called freaky Friday because of our shared love of movies from the noughties." You said with a cheeky grin. "Angel also loves a dirty joke whenever it's possible to have one."
"Ah yes you, the spider ,and the swine all cuddled together in your matching pajamas on the settee watching princess makeovers and assistant makeovers and-"
"Hey it's more than just makeovers!" However, the comment gave you an idea, "Oh my god what if I get him a Fat Nuggets blanket?"
A round of applause played while Alastor called out "Ding ding! We have a winner!"
Letting out a sheepish smile and thank you, you rose from the bed ready to search for a way to get this made by the end of the day. Then a perfectly wrapped gift appeared in front of your face and dropped into your hands. Your head whipped in the direction of the smiling demon across the room.
"Is this what I think it is? How did you have it already?"
"I know you."
With a flushed face and full arms you made your way out of the room and through the doorway. Only halfway through the walk to your bedroom did you realize Alastor knew of your movie nights and took note of the matching pajamas. The radio demon noticed you.
Christmas Day
A giant fire roared in the hearth as bells rung and music played around the hotel. Excitement filled the air as the originally dismissive group exchanged gifts to each other. You and Angel Dust hung together watching the others until you announced you had something for him.
"Aw (y/n) you're my secret Santa?"
You snatched the Santa hat off Angel Dust's head in embarassment and placed it on your own as you laughed, "Had to get something for my ho ho hoe."
After a fit of giggles said spider unwrapped his gift and his eyes lit up, "If you had a dick I'd suck it so hard right now thank you doll."
Christmas was a success and you could finally breathe a sigh of relief and a laugh at your best friend's words as he snuggled himself within the blanket along with its muse in his lap.
Charlie rose up to give her gift as you prepared yourself with being thankful and happy no matter what she gave you. Until she turned to Nifty with a gift that turned out to be a new dress for her. Filled with confusion you swore to Angel that you thought Charlie got you due to her obviousness. Then the young Morningstar turned again to look above you and smiled so brightly.
Both yours and Angel Dust moved to see what she was smiling at behind you only to be face to face, or well chest, of the radio demon. Grinning down at you with his hands behind his back he laughed and said, "Happy Christmas from your secret Santa."
"What? I thought for sure it was Charlie."
"We struck a sort of deal," Alastor explained while behind your back Charlie gave a thumbs up as the rest of the crew stopped to watch.
The gift was handed to you as you carefully unwrapped it, conscious of all the eyes currently on you or rather what a scary overlord has given you as a gift. Inside was a beautifully crafted music box with carvings of your favorite flowers and sculptures of little deer in a meadow. You opened the box and your ears are met with an instrumental version of your favorite song.
"How did you-"
"Like I said I know you (y/n)."
Suddenly Charlie's voice bellowed, "Look who's under the mistletoe!" As if you couldn't be any more red from this interaction you now looked up to see that very mistletoe above you and Alastor. Your facial expression fell realizing this was going to be so awkward, being rejected in front of everyone despite it not being caused by you. Full of thoughts on how to escape or come up with a nonchalant response to not even being wanted for one measly peck and planning when you'll disappear to nurse your ego, you were distracted from the real world. That was until a pair of lips met your own in a soft yet hungry kiss. The moment felt like eternity yet also a millisecond at the same time. Before you could return the kiss, the deer demon pulled back and with a wink, walked away.
Shocked faces and silence filled the room as no one expected Alastor's actions. Lightly touching your lips, you thought maybe Christmas in Hell isn't so bad.

MY DEAR i apologize for the random drabble request pls don't feel pressured to do this if you do not wish🩵
but as u know, I love how you write the Dia gang🥺 and I crave crumbs of Lilia being put in a scenario where he actually needs to drop his 'ufufu' act and be protective over a one Silver Vanrouge
which is something I have not found yet in canon materials, very sadly, (but pls correctly me if i am wrong bc I am not in-the-know of all the vignettes and such)
There is one great moment in Book 7 where Lilia literally gets shot by a cannon while shielding Silver and he didn't even remember Silver was his son, his body just reacted on its own. Such good angst 😭 and then Jade's lab vignette has a pretty cute moment between the two with Lilia thinking Silver was getting poisoned.
But yes, I have written something for you (sorry it took so long lol) please enjoy and thank you for asking!
✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯
‘Shouldn’t he be taking less naps by now?’ Lilia thought to himself.
In all of the human parenting books he read, most of them said that young humans tend to stop napping regularly at around four years old. Unless Silver was in the 30% margin of human five-year-olds needing naps, Lilia couldn’t find rhyme or reason for Silver to be this tired so frequently.
When Silver was a baby, Lilia often praised him for his ability to go to sleep easily. It was a far cry from Malleus, who hated naps even when he was a wee little dragon. For a while, the only problem Silver really had was something called ‘colic’ and that thankfully passed by the time he reached 6 months.
He had his suspicions it could have something to do with the state Lilia found him in…Lost in the throes of a protective sleep spell for over 400 years. The spell should’ve broken by now, otherwise Silver wouldn’t be here with him at all, tottering about in their front yard.
He felt in his gut that some of Silver’s quirks weren’t normal, but he had no way of knowing for sure. He never lived with a human before nor took care of one. He kept telling himself that maybe human children would fall asleep standing up.
He was brushing up on his reading because of his anxious observations. It was his way of dissuading himself from worrying. That’s when he heard what sounded like a heavy object being dropped down the stairs…The stairs that led up to Silver’s bedroom.
“Silver? Are you causing any mischief up there?” He asks playfully, but he got no response which was odd.
He went to inspect the sound and found Silver collapsed at the bottom of the stairs, limbs contorted in ways he’d see the deceased on the battlefield lie, not befitting for a little five-year-old.
After a moment of standing there, in shock at what he was seeing, his senses finally came back to him and he rushed over to investigate. There was a cut just above Silver’s delicate forehead, and blood was gushing out.
“Silver! Please speak to me!” He attempted, but got nothing. Then panic set in, those colorful little bandaids he had on hand wouldn’t be enough to close up this wound, and he had no healing potion on hand.
The blood reached down to his white eyelashes and wasn’t stopping. Was he gravely injured? Was he dying?
He already knew humans were fragile, but could stairs really kill him?
All these unknowns swirled in his brain and he felt like he did when Silver first got ill as a baby. Completely blind, making stuff up on the spot, a novice in the ways of raising a human, guilty of not handing Silver over to willing humans who would’ve taken him in and raised him better.
He took Silver into his arms, not caring that his blood stained his newly cleaned white shirt, and took to a broomstick to fly all the way to the nearest human clinic.
When he arrived, there was someone new at the front desk, a human employee he had never seen before instead of someone familiar.
“This child fell down my stairs. He’s bleeding and he isn’t responding, I need help.” Lilia told her with urgency.
“Sir, where did you find this child?” She asked, not knowing.
He had fallen into his usual habit of referring to Silver as ‘the kid he looked after’ like he would around Baur. This woman took one look at him and knew they didn’t match.
“He’s mine.” Lilia asserted.
“But you’re-“
“Yes, I know I’m a fae, but he’s my child and he needs help! Where’s the doctor?!” He quickly lost his patience with her.
His heart was already pounding out of his chest, feeling unworthy of calling Silver his own. The judgmental reaction he was met with had validated his feelings of inadequacy.
The usual doctor stepped out and recognized them, apologizing for his new employee’s reaction. He took one look at Silver in his arms and took him to the back where Silver would normally get his annual check-ups.
The doctor wiped the blood away to reveal that the cut Silver got across his hairline was not as deep as it looked.
“There are many tiny arteries around the head, that’s why the bleeding was so profuse at a small cut,” the doctor explained, “With some gauze, it should heal up like normal.”
“But he’s unconscious,” Lilia told him, “that’s dangerous for humans.”
“This wound isn’t deep enough for that. Children often get more hurt when they try bracing themselves for a fall, but I believe Silver went limp before he fell down the stairs as you described.” The doctor told him as he wrapped the bandage around his son’s head.
Silver didn’t necessarily look in pain, just asleep as he normally was…Except that wasn’t normal, was it?
“What do you mean? Are you saying he wasn’t conscious when he fell?” Lilia asks.
The doctor turns to him, a serious expression on his face.
“I know you’re new to this and as you’ve told me before, you haven’t interacted with humans much before adopting him…But excessive sleepiness is not normal for a child his age.” The doctor said, and Lilia felt the pit in his stomach grow.
“It’s not?” He repeats dumbly, of course, it’s not! Why did he allow so much room for doubt in his mind, pushing his concerns aside, believing that he was making up it being an issue.
“No, and the fact that his injury hasn’t woken him up is concerning. I think you should look into consulting medical mages or human doctors closer in the city about this.” The doctor recommended, “It could be an underlying neurological disorder.”
‘Or a blessing turned curse,’ Lilia thinks in his head. He couldn’t tell the doctor that, though, he couldn’t tell anyone. Not even Malleus, nor Silver even when he’s old enough to understand. This is his secret to keep close to his heart.
“If you have any recommendations, please let me know.” Lilia requests, “I’ll take him to whatever doctor or mage he needs to go to solve this.”
Would anyone be able to find out what’s wrong, though?
Ancient magic was seeped into his bones, there was no known cure for that. But if someone could find anything, then…
Silver stirred and was understandably disoriented from his change in surroundings. He started to tear up, which he hadn’t done in a long time, and Lilia pulled him into a hug where he could muffle his soft cries into his shoulder.
“Thank you for always helping me.” He thanked the human doctor, who returned similar sentiments.
“I was surprised when Dr. Zigvolt referred you to us,” he said, referring to Baur’s son-in-law, “A fae raising a human isn’t exactly common, but I can tell you both care for each other. You have a good kid, I’m sure you raised him to be that way.”
“So you’ve noticed,” Lilia replied light-heartedly. Silver turned his face to the familiar doctor, now ashamed by his tears, and wanted to thank him for patching him up. “What do we say, Silver?”
“Thank you sir,” Silver says in a small voice.
“You two take care.” The doctor bids them farewell on the way out.
As they left, Silver looked up at him with his side, auroral eyes, and tilted his bandaged head in curiosity.
“Papa, you’re gripping my hand really tight. What’s wrong?” He asks, “Is it cause I hurt myself?”
Silver could be strangely perceptive, almost wise beyond his short years. Yes, Lilia had Silver in a tighter grip than usual, afraid a possible second slip up would send them right back to where they start.
Lilia could never tell Silver about who his parents truly were or where he came from or even why he is the way he is. He would keep having to lie about that, and lying to that sweet little face was already so hard.
Silver didn’t even know he was adopted yet, it’s like everything about their little life was one big secret.
But he couldn’t lie about this.
“I’m a little worried about you, that’s all. The nice doctor told me that your sleepiness isn’t normal.” He broke the news, to which Silver looked down at his tiny feet in shame, “But it’s alright because I’m going to take you to many doctors so we can find a cure.”
“That’s good!” Silver looked up with a smile, “Then I can still be a knight, right?”
“Yes, you can.” Lilia said, swinging both their arms back and forth, “And Silver?”
Silver looked back at him.
“Please try not to scare your papa.”

Hey! Glad that more people who love Zenless are here on tumblr. And I’ve been loving some characters but I’m trying to see if i really like Harumasa. So mind helping me out with some headcanons?
Harumasa with a dragon thiren reader who works a bookshop (and secretly is a proxy) who can summon wings, a tail, and a horn✨
Just general headcanons on how this relationship would be!
Harumasa x Dragon Thiren!Reader
Warning: none, not proofread!
Note: my ass had to skip and skimp through some parts so i was genuinely confused what a Thiren is then i found a post on reddit explaining what it is. Thank you for requesting and having patience!
Tumblr media
At first he doesn't look like a guy who would visit a Bookshop so often but he does read books sometimes rather than the papers in office.
After hearing from yanagi that you keep some of the best books around the sixth Street oh well he had to visit
Though you keep your tail and wings hidden most of the time you wear a cloak around you a short one to keep it over your head to cover the horns it's energy consuming to hide them all the time.
You keep your bookstore in the vintage style! It's a good change of place without electronics around. ( A big ass lie)
Of course you were surprised by the first visit of yanagi even and now him got you thinking you might get behind the bars soon.
You really haven't done anything bad being a proxy quite the opposite you have helped people get out of the hollows and often retrieve lost items as commissions.
Your H.D.D is hidden in the storage room which is also filled with different type of books.
And The siblings are also in your contacts it's never bad to have back ups!
Although he was confused why you had your head covered he didn't question it.
He doesn't know why he found himself often around your bookshop it was almost alluring in a peaceful way.
He doesn't read much he often comes here to seek a nap on one of your reading places yet he has the membership to your shop.
Even your bangboo has become all familiar to him, it always knows it's him when there is only one knock on the door. ( He is too lazy to knock twice anyways lol)
Though your cover as a proxy didn't stay for long under his sharp eyes.
Well it's a whatever case now as you and the siblings were excused as a proxy by miyabi herself.
He never outright told you to show him what you actually are but he definitely hints at it sometimes.
And not to mention those pick up lines he drops every now and then from the books and movies he had watched.
Well of course there is nothing to hide from him now anyways. He was amused he has seen many thirens, an oni a cat, wolf and shark. However seeing a dragon was really amusing to him.
Get ready for the absolute amount of ridiculous questions to be asked. He is not holding back.
He definitely read about dragons in the books you have after that of course and his nap time at the shop is more peaceful than ever now.
He might have asked to see your tail sometimes out of curiosity. Feel free to refuse if you don't wanna go that far. But if you let him see he is amazed how well you hide yourself.
He says the horns on your head add to your charm.
He never saw you fight but he has you running around in your bangboo beside him in the hollow.
He definitely takes his power naps with your tail warped around him.
He has read about dragons banishing evil and bringing good luck so now you are named as "Lucky Charm" in his contacts. Only his lucky charm.

happy friday!! for Lucanis x Rook (my beloveds): "You disobeyed a direct order. What's going on?"
-inquisimer
my beloveds <3 this deffo happens on a mission where lucanis was supposed to be in charge. but does a de riva ever listen? no!
@dadrunkwriting, mild veilguard spoilers!
title tbd
rating: g
words: 635
notes: little bit of hurt comfort. antonio uses they/them pronouns!!
When Rook woke up, their head was cradled in Lucanis' lap, a book in one hand and the other rubbing their scalp. All the tenderness of the moment was sapped away by a screaming headache, the pressure focused at their temples. They didn't dare open their eyes, the throbbing behind their eyes suggesting that just maybe low light was too much.
So instead they let out a low groan of pain, their hands numbly seeking out their fellow crow. Antonio heard Lucanis chuckle as they grasped his forearm, his hand leaving their hair to close his book and set it aside.
"You're awake," Lucanis remarked, pressing a soothing kiss to their forehead. Curse him for being caring. His hand returned to their face, gently holding it. If only touches could heal.
Their eyes remained closed. "Somewhat," they replied, pulling his wrist to their lips. An open mouth kissed into the blood vessels at his wrist. The thrum of his blood against their lips helped them feel rooted in the present. "Are you okay?"
A calloused thumb rubbed against their lips and along their cheekbone. "Knowing you are alive... That's all I need," their fellow Crow responded. That bad then?
They recalled a battle, stalking Venatori back to their hideaways in Nevarra. A protracted battle, shouted commands. And then burying themself and a few dozen Venatori under rubble with well-timed thunder.
In any case, their condition didn't matter. "The contract?" they asked. Their hands squeezed the forearm they had latched onto before seeking a hand to hold in their own.
"Corazon..." Lucanis began.
Antonio cut him off. Their health didn't matter.
"Complete," he replied abrasively.
They let the silence linger. Lucanis' breathing was ragged. The fingers holding their face suddenly gripped on tighter. Another hand tugged on their hair. Spite then. He had thoughts.
"We said run. Direct order," the demon above them rasped. It still never felt right to call the pair of them an abomination. Rook wished there was another word to describe their partner.
The hissing in Lucanis' voice began to punctuate each word. Spite must be incensed. "We had it," he practically growled.
The light outside their shut eyes threatened to control their thoughts. So their eyes remained shut. They adjusted their position, though. Let their lover hold them close, feel their wholeness of body. "You were tired," Antonio responded, their hands groping for Lucanis' face.
Spite guided their hands there. They knew by the firmness of that grip. Lucanis treated them like glass. But it was his beard beneath their palms. The well-combed curl of his moustache and the slightly raised skin of his right eyebrow were intimately familiar to their fingertips.
"I had them, corazon. I ordered you to withdraw and you disobeyed. I could have-" Lucanis paused, his voice cracking. "What's going on? You always listen."
"And risk the team?" they responded. "A few days with a headache is no matter. You'll find something to do."
They struggled to discern who was sighing. Perhaps both of them. Rook rolled their head, trying to get all the closer to him. Their horns dug into the crease of his hip, but neither of them commented.
"I'd rather us all take a few days to recover than risk your life," Lucanis murmured.
"You and Viago both," Antonio replied, punctuating their response with a yawn. "Head hurts."
"I'm still cross," the assassin grimaced, kissing their knuckles. "But we'll read to you. Emmrich said it'll be good for Spite."
Rook let their hands fall back to their side, grabbing at whatever bits of their partner felt comfortable. "Tell me the one about the handsome assassin who stole the qunari's heart?" they asked.
Before he opened his mouth to share the story, Rook had already drifted off to the Fade, curled up in Lucanis' lap.

A Bullet wound and a friendly stranger
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jason Todd x reader
word count: 1.2 K
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
"Damn it!" he groans in pain. How did this happen? Well obviously someone shot him, but that never happened. He is a trained killer, an assassin after all. No one should be able to take a hit at him, due to him being gone before anyone could even notice him being there in the first place.
But the steady trip of crimson blood running down his arm left no doubt that he got hit, but how could someone have found him?
Didn't matter he had to get his wound cleaned and he needed to leave the dark alley before someone found him in the company of two dead bodies.
The dark haired assassin stumbled out of the alley and into the busy streets of the city, leaving behind the death that he caused. It was as if he stepped into another world. The sun breaking through the thick clouds made the city's glass buildings shine as bright as  the stars in the night sky he was used to seeing. Jason was so blinded by the lights that he accidentally ran into an oncoming woman, who seemed to be deeply involved in the book she was holding.
"Oh gosh I am so sorry" the dark blonde girl states, "I wasn't paying attention at all, totally my fault."
He saw her lips move but didn't hear the words they were forming. She had really pretty lips, and  her eyes ,whoa her eyes were beyond beautiful, magnificent. The blue in them mixed with the grey reminded him of rainy clouds, his favourite sight.
"Are you alright?" she asked after he didn't react to her former statement.
"I´m sorry, I-", what was he supposed to say, sorry that I didn't answer? I was too busy staring at your gorgeous face?, "I was lost in thought. Sorry that I bumped into you." why was he suddenly so nervous? He didn't get nervous.
"Like I said before, it was totally my fault." she said while taking him in. Her eyes widened when she noticed the blood dripping down his arm."Oh god you´re bleeding. Let me help you clean that up. That's the least I can do. My apartment isn't far."
"How could I deny a beautiful woman like yourself inviting me to her home?", he replied, a smirk playing on his perfectly kissable lips, she was even more beautiful when she blushed and he loved that he made her.
"Come on."
The walk back to her place was quiet, filled with stolen glances and the occasional brush of his fingers against hers.
"You can sit down wherever, I´m going to get some stuff to clean up that wound." she says while walking through the door, Jason close behind. He reminded himself of a lost puppy, following her wherever she goes.
He decided to sit down at the kitchen table not wanting to get blood on her comfy looking couch. Her apartment was full of life. Everywhere you looked  parts of her life were displayed. Framed photos with family and friends, pictures of places she visited, books that adorned every place she could fit them. She was the exact opposite of him, where she was light he was dark, where she was joyful he was grumpy and where she was life he was death.
When the woman whose name Jason still didn't know returned he was reading in one of her books.
Had she been gone that long?
"What are you doing?" she squeaked. He had opened one of the books that laid on her kitchen counter, she had just read it this morning and forgot to return it to it´s righteous place. He didn't think anything about it. Though it was a harmless romance novel, the titel `Twisted Love` definitely deceiving. This was not a simple little romance novel. "Crawl to me " he was hooked from the very first words on the page he opened and then came the spicy stuff. He couldn't put it down, he just wanted to read a few pages until the pretty woman returned but now? He couldn't put it down and additionally he was turned on.
"Don´t read that" she stomps over to him, her face flushed with embarrassment. As she glances at the page he is on her eyes widens and if possible her face turns even redder. "Oh god, why did you have to open that book at that page" she says more to herself than him. Is she ashamed? Huh.
"Why? Don´t want me knowing about the filthy things you read about?", he leans closer," Tell me pretty girl, do you only enjoy reading about those things or do you also like to be treated like that?" His voice dropped and he could see her pulse quickening. Could hear her breath hitch. He was attuned to every little thing she did. Painfully aware of how close she was and how good she smelled. Vanilla and was that cherry? Whatever it was, it was intoxicating.
"I-"she stammers, "I think, uhm" she closes her eyes for a second, inhales and then opens her eyes and looks directly at him ," I think i should take a look at your wound before it turns into something serious."
He watched her as she cut off the sleeves of the tight shirt. he was wearing. Her eyes widened when she saw the ugly flesh wound the bullet left. That was going  to leave a scar, another one in his collection. He felt stupid not to wear his red Hood suit and mask today.
"How did that happen", she asks him, concern evident on her face.
"Don't worry about it, pretty girl." He didn't want her knowing who he was, couldn't let her in on his secret. That would surely cost him every chance he ever had at getting to know her better.
"[y/n]" she mumbles, hands busy disinfecting his wound.
"[y/n] ." he tries out her name on his tongue. It sounded perfect. She also liked the way he said her name. As if he hadn't done anything else in his life. It sounded so familiar.
"Does this hurt?" [y/n]   asks, concerned.
"Not really"Should he hiss, act like it hurt? This little wound was nothing against everything else he had had to endure before. "I mean it burns and everything but it's not as bad as it looks."
"Alright. I think you have a high pain tolerance. I'm sure I would be crying by now." she  laughs. Shit, this made him think of her with tears streaming down her face, in a different situation.
Her body writhing under his, tears of overstimulation streaming down her face and her soft voice begging him to stop and keep going simultaneously.
God what was she doing to him? He never reacted this way to anyone. He was always in control of his emotions, never really feeling anything. It was a part of the job. And [y/n] made him feel more in the half hour he spent with her than he felt in the last months of his life.
A weird feeling emerged in him. He wanted to feel more with her, wanted to keep her around. Needed to be around her. What was this indescribable feeling swelling deep in his chest? He did not know, but he would learn soon enough.
ⓘ This is my first time writing for Jason and I'm more of a Marvel girly so I dont know thaaat much about the DC Comic Universe, but I am trying my best😭

@ofblemishwithin
Okay. I'll be there. {I nodded in agreement as I looped my bag over my shoulder and then walked away. This guy was a giant pain in the ass so I was more than happy to get away from him. Sucks that we were paired up for this project together, but what sucked even more was how much I already disliked him. My point in that is, I'm normally the girl who can find a way to get along with anybody. I had a lot of friends... Made new friends every time we moved to a new town or city, yet here, other than Sarah, I felt like a total outsider. I mean, because of some lame ass Romeo and Juliet type of nonsense going on, this guy hated me without even knowing me. It was total crap, if you asked me. I thought with disappointment as my brother arrived in front of the restaurant and picked me up} "Uh oh, I know that look... What's their name and do I need to kick their ass?" {My brother asked with a humored chuckle, but deep down, I knew that protective side would prevail if I needed it to} Did you know about all the division of this island? Pogues verses Kooks or whatever? {I decided to ask him instead. He pursed his lips and nodded in response} "Let me guess, a pogue giving you shit because of where we live?" {He could read me like a book so I wasn't at all surprised when he didn't even wait for me to respond before adding} "Maia, I know you're the type of person who makes friends wherever you go, and you'll make friends here too. Don't let people bring you down or ruin your mood because they're prejudice idiots. You're better than that... But I mean it, if someone's giving you shit, just give me a name..." {I gave a nod in response to my brother then flashed him a small but appreciative smile. I wouldn't dare give him a name, but I didn't adore how protective my brother was of me} Tomorrow's a new day, right? {I said optimistically as he drove us home...
The next day came around... Normal day of school and then Sarah walked me to the spot JJ said we'd meet up at. Given that Sarah literally dropped me off at the exact place to wait, I knew I was in the right spot. It was nearly 4 but I saw no sign of JJ yet. While I waited, I worked on some homework, but as the time continued to pass, I started to wonder if JJ was standing me up... A reality that I was quickly coming to terms with when it was quarter after four and then four-thirty} Seriously... Jerk's standing me up. {I muttered under my breath as I shot Sarah a text asking where this guy lived. Figuring if he was going to stand me up, I'd confront him in person to find out why. I thought in building frustration as Sarah gave me directions to his place, but I decided to wait a few more minutes to see if he'd actually show up before I'd take matters into my own hands}
Paths intertwined
@thehellsakook
Outer Banks; it was made up of two sides. The rich freaks that lived on figure 8 and the pogues which were known as the people that had to scrape by. JJ was neither; well he was a pogue; it was his known family. But he wasn’t the guy that had people looking out for him. He had a dad but he was far from the father figure you’d picture in your mind. He was the guy that scraped by, with working on boats; that helped the rich across the town in order to make the ends meet, but he was also the dirty guy that tended to feed off any person that was willing to toss him money.
JJ witnessed it first hand; the poker nights growing up. The smell of beer that stayed within these walls. The lack of food provided. JJ knew he had to count on himself. It’s why John B, Pope, and kie and I all stuck together. We helped each other when we felt in a bind. Kie was able to help more considering she lived in the big house; she was a kook yet she liked slumming it with us. She didn’t care what her parents said, all the warnings based on the rumors. It was always kooks vs the pogues what could I say? JJ though he had to fend for himself; he was the one who walked around at night; waiting for the wreck to close up; and Kie would help hand out any extra food the restaurant had. He didn’t like asking for help nor would you hear him say the words. But the pogues knew; his dad he was unreliable, the only person he could count on was himself.
It was another start to a another school year. One JJ was dreading, he knew in order to make it life you had to learn. YOu had to sit through each boring class. He was his own kind of smart. He could pick up on cues, he could pick up on the simple concepts; but when it came to applying himself he froze. He rather let Pope do the work; and he’d feed the notes of each subject to him. Pope was the brains of the pogues; he was the school scholar that wanted to go to an ivy league school, and I had no doubt in my mind he’d make it. But me; I was barely getting by. John B had the smarts like myself; his quick thinking. But would we amount to anything? Heck no. All that in mind; JJ had pushed the simple supplies of a notebook, a few pencils into his backpack. Using his hand he zipped it; as he heard the calling from the windows.
“ JJ Man let’s go.” John b neither of his friends dared to stay inside especially when his dad’s truck was parked outside. He had pulled the strap of his bag over his shoulder. Taking his gray baseball cap he brought it to rest over his sandy blonde hair. A pair of shorts he wore; an an old white T-shirt, simple was all the teen did. He closed the door to his room and made his way through the small home. He paused when he saw his dad head facing down against the arm rest of the couch. Same old day; he was passed out probably from his work last night; or the money he managed to trick out of his so called buddies. I had to roll my eyes as I took the keys for the boat; for after school. Tucking the key into my shorts pocket. I had stepped through the swinging doors spotting Kie and Pope. Eyes moved to try to find our missing friend; the one I had heard inside. Ducking my head down; I had felt a pair of arms wrap around my neck from behind. “ Took you long enough.” John B, I had used my hands to push behind me; in order to push the male down.
This was us; joking around; laughing on the walk to the dreadful day at school. I never cared what anyone thought; the pogues were my life. The only ones I truly cared about. The walk was a bit longer compared to figure 8, as we stepped onto the pavements we caught sight of the sport cars, of the fancy cars; you’d dream of riding in. I had to roll my eyes; just another day. Topper and Sarah and their crew were hanging out by the small wall before the stairs. We had shrugged our shoulders as we passed. Stepping one at a time on the stairs until we walked right into the building.
Pope and Kie had walked the other way as John B and I did our hand shake an agreement to meet at next class; math my worse. I had science first; the male ducked his textbook under his arm as he walked the distance to the class. Cap blinding his eyes from making eye contact with anyone. He had found a spot in the third row; the desk in front of him as he placed his book down. His legs in front of him. Hand had moved to rest on the edge of the desk when he spotted the brunette from the sports car; a kook. Figures. To his surprise she was directed to sit next to him; oh great, cue the roll of his eyes. JJ had barely acknowledged her. “ Ah okay.” As if I was giving out my name to strangers; attention drawn to the teacher as if I intended on paying attention.

All the tour groups in Springfield should be very proud of me for how well I refrained from sharing all my fascinating Lincoln facts.
#there were so many school groups!#a giant one came in RIGHT AFTER i entered lincoln's cabinet room#part of me was screaming 'children i NEED to tell you about all these idiots and their insane drama!'#a smarter part of me understood that would be super weird#so instead i regaled different individuals of my own traveling party after we had the room to ourselves#then at lincoln's tomb we lucked out in getting there during the ten minutes of the day when school groups weren't there#which meant we got a personal tour from a guide who seemed thrilled to have grown-ups to talk to#he and my dad chatted about fishing for a long while in the entry#it didn't feel disrespectful because it totally felt like the kind of conversation lincoln would have understood and joined in on#and then we went on our way but the guide then chased us down to share all the fascinating lincoln stories as we went along#(shout-out to lefty you were great)#and then a school group found us so we made a graceful exit#but outside a teacher was explaining to a different group about how robert was significant in his own right so he's buried at arlington#and the RESTRAINT i showed in not immediately informing them that he was present at three presidential assassinations! it was rather heroic#and then when we toured lincoln's house the guide (who accidentally made it clear he was a revolutionary war buff)#(which made it a bit hilarious he was stuck with lincoln)#asked for questions before we started and someone asked about lincoln's 1860 election campaign!#aka one of my SPECIAL NICHE AREAS OF OBSESSION!#you cannot imagine how desperately i wanted to tell him ALL ABOUT seward and thurlow weed#anyway it was fun to go back now that i actually know stuff about lincoln#but it was also a bit frustrating because now i know how much they leave out#(though there was cool new info and artifacts)#(the blood-stained piece of laura keene's dress was very morbid and very cool)#also it reminded me that i still have that book on the 1860 election i've yet to read and the hype is so real#presidential talk

The way grown adults in their twenties still talk about how they didn't learn about x historical event or y horrific thing the US did back when they were in highschool as if it's any excuse for their willful ignorance is like actually so pathetic. It's four years of schooling that you had a decade ago of course you didn't learn every single thing in the world, no one does in any school in any country. You're not special. It's time to grow up and make the effort to learn things for yourself, You're Not In Highschool Anymore
#txt#like it's always “I didn't learn xyz in school” and “the US education system sucks” girl you're 25.#Literally stop talking about highschool.#If you're not going to make the effort at least own up to it instead of making excuses and getting defensive#Like all of these people spend so much time complaining about what the US didn't teach them when they were a CHILD#when they could be spending that time. Googling? Reading? Asking their peers questions?#This is the information age. There is literally no excuse#when most of these people are on the computer actively using the internet for hours upon hours every day#or their phone or tablet or whatever else#making post after post on social media. But literally only getting their news from Twitter or Tumblr? Insane.#Do some reading yourself.#Idk check out library books. Your library needs the foot traffic anyway.#Ask questions on Reddit. There's plenty of people who actually are totally interested in answering your questions in good faith.#Ask questions on TUMBLR even. I know there's plenty of people HERE who are willing to answer questions in good faith.#Your peers are a great respurce to utilize for learning about Literally Anything!#Not that everyone knows everything. But it's still awesome to ask your peers questions and discuss things with them!#Like it's actually a great way to learn new things! It's kind of ONE of the big reasons things are taught in whole classes of people!#I can't stress enough! OP makes a post it is ok to ask them a question about it or ask about further reading or ask for a source!#As long as you're asking in good faith because you want to learn! It's not a bad thing to do!#If OP gets really upset and nasty about the question—that's not cool BUT you can't really blame them.#If they are a victim of whatever their post is about it's very frustrating for them and moreso that they feel they have to TEACH people#about it. So give people some grace in that regard. Not everyone will have perfect responses 24/7.#For the most part people will be able to recognise and understand the genuine desire to learn about something and help and will be at LEAST#willing to point you in a direction. Even if it's just a Subreddit or another tumblr acc or something#Like I cannot stress enough. You can do something to change your “lack of education” about subjects by Educating Yourself#and Asking. Questions. And. Talking. To. Your. Peers. About. Things.#There's a hobbyist for everything. There's one autistic guy with a special interest out there that has all the answers to your questions#There is also like. News that isn't state-sponsered. But use critical thinking and look into sources.

As a late diagnosed autist I will say one of the most damaging but transformative experiences I've ever had was being misdiagnosed with BPD.
Everyday my heart goes out to people with BPD.
The amount of stigma and silencing they face is astonishing and sickening.
I took DBT for years. Therapists use to turn me away because of my diagnosis.
I would be having full blown autistic meltdowns, crying for help literally - but because I was labeled as BPD ANY time I cried I was treated as manipulative and unstable.
As if the only reason I could be crying was if I was out to trick someone.
95% of the books out there with Borderline in the title are named shit like 'How to get away from a person with Borderline', 'How to stop walking on eggshells (with a person who has BPD)'
I was never allowed to feel true pain or panic or need.
That was 'attention seeking behavior', not me asking for help when a disability was literally inhibiting my ability to process emotions.
There were dozens of times where I had a full meltdown and was either threatened with institutionalization or told I was doing it for attention.
My failing relationships weren't due to a communication issue, or the inability to read social cues. No, because I was labeled borderline, my unstable relationships were my fault. Me beggong nuerotypicals to just be honest and blunt with what they meant was me pestering them for validation.
Borderline patients can't win.
And the funny thing is - I asked my therapist about autism. I told her I thought I was on the spectrum.
BPD is WILDLY misdiagnosed with those with autism and I had many clear signs.
Instead - she told me 'If you were autistic we wouldn't be able to have this conversation'. She made me go through a list of autistic traits made clearly for children, citing how I didn't fit each one.
And then she told me that me identifying with the autism community was the BPD making me search for identity to be accepted - and that I wasn't autistic, just desperate to fit in somewhere.
I didn't get diagnosed for another ten years. For ten years I avoided the autism community - feeling as if I were just a broken person who wanted to steal from people who 'really needed it'.
Because of my providers - I began to doubt my identity MORE, not less.
Ten years of thinking I was borderline and being emotionally neglected and demonized by a system meant to help me.
To this day, I still don't trust neurotypicals. Not fully.
I know I'm not borderline now - but my heart aches for them. Not for the usual stuff. But for the stigma. And the asshole doctors. And the dismissiveness and threatening and the idea of institutionalization hanging over their head.
I love Borderline people. I always will. I'm not Borderline but if you are I love you and I'm sorry.
You're not a bad person. You're not a therapists worst nightmare, you are a human with valid feelings and fears.
Borderline people I'm sorry.

On being an older fangirl
I was probably 10 years old when I first conceived of what was, looking back, fanfiction. Me and my best friend would lie in bed together on sleepovers and I'd make up stories about what happened after the end of our favorite book, "The Westing Game." She'd ask me for more stories, and I'd tell her more, inventing them as I went along. "Then what?" she'd say.
I was 14 when I went to my first convention. I had discovered Star Trek: The Next Generation. It was 1987, and my youth pastor was a huge Trekkie. He took me to a one-day crappy Creation con, but it was amazing to me. I met Nichelle Nichols. My dad showed me the Trek movies. He and I watched TNG together.
When I went to college in 1991, my dad used to videotape TNG episodes onto VHS tapes and mail them to me, so I could keep watching (I didn't have TV in my dorm room).
By the time I was a senior, we had Trek watching parties in the dorm lounge, where the TV had cable. Star Trek: Voyager had started up, and I wrote a column about it for the college newspaper. I joined a mailing list about it, with people in it that I still know today.
I got my first computer that could go online in 1995. I was on newsgroups. I discovered Doctor Who. I went to Trek conventions where we still passed around fanzines containing fic and art and smutty K/S fan creations.
Then it was Harry Potter. Then there were websites. Then there was Geocities, where we could all make our own little spots. We organized them into webrings. We talked on newsgroups and mailing lists. There were fanfic archives. Then there was fanfiction.net.
Then...there was LiveJournal. And we could interact in entirely new ways. We could form communities, and debate things, and fight over canon, and get into ship wars. On LiveJournal, I met my best friend of 22 years. I was in her wedding. She's my sister of the heart (which is what she calls me).
Then there was Tumblr. And Twitter. And now there's Discord. But it's all the same.
I am the same.
I am still that little girl who made up fanfiction in her head to entertain her best friend. I am still the one who was amazed to find communities on the internet - which was so new, so raw, so uncommodified - where others like me could meet. I found there people to meet in real life.
I am still that twentysomething going to her first major convention, being told that someone loved my fic, being asked about my writing process.
I am still that thirtysomething watching something I wrote blow up. Seeing friends from other fandoms find me in new ones, finding them there, too. Forgetting which fandom I know someone from, because I've known them for twenty years.
I still know some of the people who created those early websites, those mailing lists, those archives. I still meet people in new fandoms who say "Oh, I read your fic in [fandom] fifteen years ago!" There's no feeling quite like having someone remember something you wrote for that long. Or meeting someone whose fic meant a lot to YOU, or who you talked with on rec.arts.drwho.creative in 1997.
Aging in fandom is a gift. Being middle-aged in fandom is a joy. Having people who still read what I write and ask "Then what?" is a blessing.
It breaks my heart that so many people see it as something to be ashamed of, when it is one of my life's greatest gifts.

for whom good omens is being written
Hey maggots and the rest of the fandom, it's the Good Omens Mascot here. Today I read a post about this tweet:
Tumblr media
The accompanying video genuinely made me cry. And I've been thinking about this for a long while, as far back as February, when I saw a lot of conflicting opinions on what people wanted from the third season. It really is true that no matter what you do, some people will be dissatisfied. But what matters is that Neil is writing this for Terry.
And I was reminded of some paragraphs from the Good Omens TV Companion, which I'd read in Amazon's sample excerpt of the book. I know this is a long post, but I really truly do think you all need to read these, I've done my best to select only the most important parts. Here you go:
'His Alzheimer's started progressing harder and faster than either of us had expected,' says Neil, referring to a period in which Terry recognized that despite everything he could no longer write. 'We had been friends for over thirty years, and during that time he had never asked me for anything. Then, out of the blue, I received an email from him with a special request. It read: “Listen, I know how busy you are. I know you don't have time to do this, but I want you to write the script for Good Omens. You are the only human being on this planet who has the passion, love and understanding for the old girl that I do. You have to do this for me so that I can see it." And I thought, “OK, if you put it like that then I'll do it."
'I had adapted my own work in the past, writing scripts for Death: The High Cost of Living and Sandman, but not a lot else was seen. I'd also written two episodes of Doctor Who, and so I felt like I knew what I was doing. Usually, having written something once I'd rather start something new, but having a very sick co-author saying I had to do this?' Neil spreads his hands as if the answer is clear to see. 'I had to step up to the plate.' A pause, then: 'All this took place in autumn 2014, around the time that the BBC radio adaptation of Good Omens was happening,' he continues, referring to the production scripted and co-directed by Dirk Maggs and starring Peter Serafinowicz and Mark Heap. ‘Terry had talked me into writing the TV adaptation, and I thought OK, I have a few years. Only I didn't have a few years,' he says. 'Terry was unconscious by December and dead by March.'
He pauses again. 'His passing took all of us by surprise,' Neil remembers. 'About a week later, I started writing, and it was very sad. The moments Terry felt closest to me were the moments I would get stuck during the writing process. In the old days, when we wrote the novel, I would send him what I'd done or phone him up. And he would say, "Aahh, the problem, Grasshopper, is in the way you phrase the question," and I would reply, "Just tell me what to do!" which somehow always started a conversation. 'In writing the script, there were times I'd really want to talk to Terry, and also places where I'd figure something out and do something really clever, and I would want to share it with him. So, instead, I would text Terry's former personal assistant, Rob Wilkins, now his representative on Earth. It was the nearest thing I had.'
(...) As Neil himself recognizes, this is an adaptation built upon the confidence that comes from three decades of writing for page and screen. But for all the wisdom of experience, he found that above all one factor guided him throughout the process. 'Terry isn't here, which leaves me as the guardian of the soul of the story,' he explains. 'It's funny because sometimes I found myself defending Terry's bits harder or more passionately than I would defend my own bits. Take Agnes Nutter,' he says, referring to what has become a key scene in the adaptation in which the seventeenth-century author of the book of prophecies foretelling the coming of the Antichrist is burned at the stake. ‘It was a huge, complicated and incredibly expensive shoot, with bonfires built and primed to explode as well as huge crowds in costume. It had to feel just like an English village in the 1640s, and of course everyone asked if there was a cheap way of doing it. 'One suggestion was that we could tell the story using old-fashioned woodcuts and have the narrator take us through what happened, but I just thought, “No”. Because I had brought aspects of the story like Crowley and the baby swap along to the mix, and Terry created Agnes Nutter. So, if I had cut out Agnes then I wouldn't be doing right by the person who gave me this job. Terry would've rolled over in his grave.'
And, finally, this paragraph:
"Once again, Neil cites the absence of his co-writer as his drive to ensure that Good Omens translated to the screen and remained true to the original vision. 'Terry's last request to me was to make this something he would be proud of. And so that has been my job.'"
I think that's so heartwrenchingly beautiful, and so I wanted you all to read this, too, just in case you (like me) don't have the Good Omens TV Companion. It adds another layer of depth and emotion to this already complex and amazing story that we all know and love.
Share this post, if you can, please, so that more people can read these excerpts :")
Tagging @neil-gaiman, @fuckyeahgoodomens and @orpiknight, even if you've definitely read these before :)
