Im not completely sure if it'll get accepted bc its about death but i was thinking if it was okay to request for hcs of diluc/ningguang comforting their s/o after one of their close family member passed away? Its completely fine and understandable by me if you cant/wont do the req ^^

pairing/s: diluc x gn!reader, ningguang x gn!reader (separate)

sypnosis: hc scenario of how diluc and ningguang would comfort their s/o after one of their close relatives passes away.

include/s: spoilers of diluc's backstory, mentions of death, death of family member, comfort hc, and possibly ooc

-> the moment diluc finds out that a close family member of yours died, he'll immediately be by your side and comfort you with everything he can.

-> he's willing to fix his schedule and makes sure he's there for you when you need him. he knows the feeling of losing a loved on– especially a family member so he basically relates to what you're feeling.

-> diluc fully respects what you wish. if you need space, he's ready to leave the room. if you need a shoulder to cry on, go for it, his shoulder is free for your tears. if you need cuddles, he's already spreading his arms wide for you. anything you need, he's already on it.

-> although he can put his work aside (for only a small amount of time), he still has to do his night patrols just to make you and mondstadt safe. he only goes out at night when you're either asleep or reassured him enough that it's okay for him to go out and protect the city.

-> if you want, diluc will even come with you to the funeral and give his condolences. you may think you're bothering him but he thinks otherwise. he doesn't mind putting his work on hiatus for now and just wants to make sure you're okay.

-> he's a great listener so if you're open enough to talk to him about your relative, he's ready to lend an ear and listen to every word you say. he'll sometime reassure you that you don't have to tell him more if you're not comfortable with it.

as diluc enters the bedroom in his sleeping attire, his eyes lands on your sleeping figure on your shared bed, sleeping peacefully in exhaustion from today's funeral. he regrets not being able to be by your side after dinner, but he's thankful that there weren't any abyss mages for the night, giving him a chance to sleep with you early tonight.

he immediately goes to the bed, sliding under the covers with you beside him still asleep.

"hnn... home already?" you spoke up, slowly waking up from your lover's movements around the bed.

he hums in response, wrapping his arms around you comfortingly. "go to sleep. you've been through a lot, you deserve some rest."

your mouth twitched up from his words, now turning around to face him. "thank you for everything you've done, diluc." you said, hugging him back with a small yawn escaping your mouth as you close your eyes.

diluc then kisses your forehead before closing his eyes, the two of you slowly falling to slumber in each other's arms. "anything for you, love. sleep well."

-> ningguang's a very busy woman but a caring one. when you told her about a family member of yours passing away, the first thing she'll do is say "my condolences."

-> unlike diluc, ningguang can't exactly just abandon her work, causing her to have full regrets for not being able to comfort you all the time. though, she does have a way of staying in touch with you.

-> she'll offer words of comfort and that your close relative is in a better place. it doesn't bother her that you're "ruining" her luxurious clothes from crying. to her, you matter more than luxury.

-> she'll immediately ask to purchase some foods and other items that can comfort you throughout your grieving along with a gift for your family as condolences to your family relative's passing (despite you and your family reassuring her that she didn't have to).

-> ningguang often checks up on you to see if you're hydrated, eating well, and so on. she doesn't want you to harm yourself, after all. however, if you ever wish to have some space or privacy for a while, she'll respect your wishes and do as you say, continuing to do her work as the tianquan.

-> she's very willing to come with you to your relative's funeral and be your shoulder to cry on. if you're busy talking to your other family members or greeting the new arrivals, she won't hesitate to converse with your parents or other family members, listening to their experiences with the passing relative inventively whilst glancing at your way to see if you need her presence.

"hey," ningguang turns around when she hears you calling out for her. "sorry that i was taking so long. i didn't realize that time was flying fast." you said with an apologetic look on your face.

your lover smiles in understanding. "it's nothing to apologize for, dearest. how are you feeling?"

you took a deep breath, eyeing on the coffin. "a bit overwhelmed, i suppose. i saw you talking to the others, how are they?"

she hums in response. "they're... polite to say the least. your relative is truly someone worth meeting with based on what your family told me."

you nodded in agreement, smiling sadly. "yeah.. if you two were to meet, i'm sure you would've get along with each other." you remarked.

"…may they be in a better place, y/n."

Sorry if this wont help much but, again, try to remember how much you matter to all of us. Even if it's hard sometimes or you can't help but feel otherwise. It won't change the fact that we all love and care about you. Don't listen to anyone or anything that tells you otherwise, and even if you can't help but hear it, just try to remember that they're wrong. We'll always be here to support you no matter what and you mean a lot to us. Just hang in there and stay strong, that'll be enough for us💕

my brain literally tells me people are faking bc either I have something they want, either they pity me, either it makes them laugh to make fun of me, either feel forced to love me because I love them, so no offense, but remembering that people tell me they care just makes me feel worse, especially with the fact that everytime I complain in the vent chan of 1 server, you send me an ask. It's sweet of you to try but it feels faker and faker, especially right now.
