Zed: so Maggreos kept his desire for blood hidden for so long.... he must have been an incredible liar....
Mirrin: actually, it passed like some anger management problems before Drena, and there were some clues every once in a while. Check this one out.
(proyection spell back to the wedding planning)
Maggreos: yes, I want Crete vanilla for the cake! It's not so complicated!
Baker: but-
Maggreos: nononono, LISTEN TO ME. If I go to my wedding and the cake is not Crete vanilla, I will come back here and burn this little shop to the ground.
Baker: you're kidd-
Maggreos: oh, do you want to find out if I'm kidding?

Can be read as a part of the It's Never Too Late series!
"Another one?"
"Are you trying to make sure I have miserable hangover tomorrow?"
"Me? Never. Just tryin' to make sure you have fun." Your brother David teased, voice oozing with sarcasm as he popped off his barstool, giving you a playful nudge for your accusation.
While you and Javi had made a few trips back to your hometown of Chicago to visit your family since your move to Laredo, most of it had either been spent at your childhood home with your entire family, or at other family events, like your cousin's wedding a few months ago.
And of course, while your brothers, Charlie and David, were a part of your family, there was a substantial difference between spending time with your whole family together, and spending time with just your brothers.
So when they had convinced you and Javi to come out with them to Rossi's, your favorite dive bar in the city, under the guise of a few drinks and time to catch up, you shouldn't have been shocked to find yourself 4 beers and two shots of whisky deep, and preparing for a much longer night ahead of you than originally anticipated.
"'Nother one for you, big guy?" Charlie asked Javi, following behind David to make their way through the hot and sweaty mess of bodies crowding behind the bar for another drink.
"And before you answer, no isn't an option." David added, sneaking up behind Javi and shaking his shoulders.
"God, you are so annoying." You sighed, rolling your eyes at your brother, jabbing your elbow into his side to keep him from wrestling Javi out of his seat, "Just do two more beers. And I swear, if you come back with another shot, I'm pouring it over your head."
The four of you laughed before your brothers disappeared into the sea of bar patrons, leaving you and Javi giggling at your table.
"Fuck, I haven't drank this much since- God, I don't even remember." Javi sighed, running his hand through his hair and down the back of his head, rubbing the dark curls at the nape of his neck.
"Me either." You replied, followed by a long, low burp and more laughter, "I think the last time I was this drunk, I was here with David and Charlie and all their friends watching the Blackhawks lose in the playoffs, but all I remember is Charlie telling me I threw up in a bush and that he had to carry me to our taxi to get home. But don't worry, I promise not to get that drunk tonight."
"Sounds good, party animal." Javi smirked, placing his hand on your thigh under the table, rubbing it back and forth along the denim of your jeans, snickering at your drunken giggles.
The two of you both reached for your drinks, finishing off the last of what was left in your beer bottles, startled when you swore you had heard your name from a voice you knew wasn't Javi's, Charlie's or David's.
"Cubby? Holy shit, is that you?!"
Setting down your drink, you swerved your head over your shoulder, jaw dropping in complete surprise to see Frankie, one of your brother's best friends you had known for as long as you could remember.
"Frankie?! Oh my god, what the fuck?! Hi!" You squealed, shooting up out of your seat to give him a hug, the alcohol already in your system perhaps making you a little more enthusiastic about your greeting you would have been otherwise.
"What the hell are you doing here?! I thought the goons said you moved to Texas after everything that happened!" Frankie asked excitedly, parting from your hug to take a step back and look at you, shocked by your presence.
"I did, but I'm here visiting for the week! Charlie and David are at the bar right now getting drinks, but they'll be back in a second! Frankie, oh my god, I'm so happy to see you!" You grinned, giving him a playful shove.
"Me too. I feel like I haven't seen you in forever! You- You look great-" He paused, trying his best to play off his comment, quickly shifting topics, "Things uh, everything's been going good for you?"
"Yeah, things have been great! How about you? Wait, we have a table right here, do you wanna sit down and catch up? Unless you're busy, I don't wanna keep you!" You offered, gesturing towards the table behind you where Javi was sitting.
"Yeah, yeah, that would be fuckin' great! I'm meetin' a few buddies here later, but I have plenty of time to catch up if you guys have some room to squeeze me in!"
While you knew there would be plenty of room for one more person at your table, even after your brothers returned, what you didn't know is that since the moment Frankie had shown up, everything about Javi's once happy and carefree demeanor had completely changed.
And not for the better.
As soon as you turned around to face Javi, you could immediately sense the shift in tension, watching his brow furrow and hand wrap tighter around the neck of the near empty beer bottle he was nursing, practically burning a hole through Frankie with the way he was staring him down.
It seemed like Frankie could immediately sense it too, looking over at you before looking back at Javi, as if to silently ask who the hell was sitting with you and your brothers, looking like he was ready to commit murder, at the very least.
"Who's uh...." Frankie paused, awkwardly laughing as he nodded at Javi, trying his best to not seem off-put by Javi's clearly uncomfortable expression.
"I'm so sorry, Frank, this is my-"
"Fiancé. Javi." Javi stated, cutting off the rest of your introduction as he stood up out of his seat, sizing up Frankie as he offered a forceful handshake.
"Fiancé? Lucky guy." Frankie replied, forcing a friendly smile as he shook Javi's hand, "Congrats, I had no idea you were engaged." He shrugged, looking back at you with a more genuine expression before awkwardly shuffling around the table to find a seat across from you and Javi.
"Thanks, we got engaged in November and the wedding's in July!" You chimed in, hoping to try and ease Javi's obvious, unwarranted hostility towards Frankie.
"Oh nice!" Frankie nodded, smiling at both you and Javi, the crinkle in his cheeks dropping at Javi's still unamused facade, "Where you guys gettin' married? Here or Texas?"
"Texas." Javi answered, short and snappy with his response.
"Frank the Tank? No fuckin' way man! What's up?!"
The three of you all seemed to breathe a collective sigh of relief at David's voice, turning your head to see him and Charlie making their way back, beers in hand.
"What's up, you goons? Long time, no see!" Frankie grinned, standing up to greet your brothers with happy pats on the back.
As the three of them said their 'hello's' you stayed put next to Javi, whapping his shoulder with the back of your hand, forcing him to face the frustrated frown plastered across your expression.
"What the fuck was that for?" You whispered to him, not wanting to draw any attention from your brothers and Frankie as they caught up.
"What?" Javi asked, shrugging nonchalantly before taking another sip of his beer, setting down the empty bottle with a forceful thud.
"W-what- What the fuck do you mean, 'what'?" You frowned, quickly realizing that Javi was trying to play dumb about the clearly uncomfortable interaction he and Frankie had just been through.
Javi silently shrugged again, jaw ticking from side to side as he looked back and forth between you and Frankie before speaking again.
"Just have never heard of Frankie before today. Didn't know you'd be so excited to see someone I didn't even know existed until five minutes ago."
"I've known Frankie since I was like, six years old. He's been one of my brother's best friends for like, ever. So yes, I was excited to see him. Would you like me to disclose every other person I've ever met and not mentioned to you, too?" You huffed, crossing your arms over your chest, feeling your scowl sink deeper into the wrinkles of your forehead.
Both groups of conversations seemed to lull at the same time, Frankie, David and Charlie all turning back towards your table to see the sour looks on both yours and Javi's faces.
"You good?" Charlie asked, handing a beer to you and then one to Javi.
"Listen, it was super nice to see all of you guys, but I don't wanna overstay my welcome or anything. I can just wait at the bar for my buddies if the four of you wanna hang out." Frankie suggested, clearly realizing he must have been the shift for the change of tone at the table.
"What, you're gonna catch up with these two idiots and leave me hanging? Seriously, please stay, we haven't hung out all together in forever!"
While Javi was able to make it subtle enough to everyone else, you could clearly tell that your invitation was the exact opposite of what he was hoping to hear.
"Only if you're-"
"Yes, I'm sure, Frankfurter, get a drink and sit your ass down!" You insisted, shooing Frankie towards the bar along with your brothers, the three of you howling over Frankie's long forgotten childhood nickname.
If he hadn't made it blatantly clear before, your avid encouragement for Frankie to join your group certainly had.
Right now, Javier Peña was one thing, and one thing only.
Jealous.
Tumblr media
"I still can't believe you won't admit that I beat you!"
"Because you didn't!"
"I did, and you know it, David! C'mon you guys, back me up here!"
It hadn't taken much for the five of you to down a few more drinks- For four of you, you let the alcohol flowing through your veins loosen you up even more, laughing and reminiscing about your favorite shared childhood memories, teasing and taunting each other over the silly trials and tribulations of your youth.
For the other, the few beers and glasses of whisky swirling around in his stomach were nothing but a way to keep from saying (or doing) something out of spite that he'd regret.
"I'm gonna be honest with you here, Dave, I'm not gonna say that your sister's right, buuuut...." Frankie smirked, holding up his beer bottle to you, giving you a silent cheers of approval.
"See?! Told you! Thank you, Frankie, at least someone knows what they're talking about." You teased, giving David a jab in his stomach as he rolled his eyes at you.
"Dare I say, Cubby is more of a badass than either of you two clowns, but I don't know if you can handle that conversation yet." Frankie smiled, reaching across the table for a fist bump, "She's a pretty kick ass hockey player, ya know."
Javi had been so focused on picking at the waterlogged label of his beer bottle, he hadn't even noticed that Frankie was trying to talk to him, only looking in his direction after a nudge from your brother.
"Hmm?" Javi hummed, barely bothering to look in Frankie's direction to acknowledge his comment.
"I said your fiancé is a badass. Didn't know if you knew how good she was at hockey, that's all." Frankie shrugged, before taking another sip of his beer.
"Yeah, why the fuck would I not know that? She's my fiancé." Javi huffed, jaw clenching.
"Javi, seriously?" You whispered, shooting him a stern look as you had to quite literally bite your tongue to keep from causing a scene at the way he was behaving.
"Sorry, man, I- I was just givin' her a compliment." Frankie grimaced, shooting you an apologetic look from across the table.
"Yeah, I think you've made it pretty fucking clear how much you like complimenting her." Javi grumbled, just loud enough for you to hear and to having you fuming at your fiancé's enraging behavior.
You took one long, low deep breath, trying to compose yourself as the rest of the table sat in uncomfortable silence, wishing they had a chainsaw to cut through the palpable tension shrouding the air.
"Can I talk to you for a second, please?"
Javi knew just as well as you that even though you had phrased it as a question, he certainly had no choice in the matter, begrudgingly trailing behind you as you silently excused the both of you from the table.
In a stark silence, Javi followed behind you through the sea of drunken strangers that filled the bar until you reached a semi quiet hallway near the back of the building by the bathrooms.
You let out a frustrated sigh as your back bounced against the wall, using it to prop yourself as you stared at Javi, arms folded over his chest and eyes wandering in anywhere but your direction.
"What the fuck is going on, Javi? And don't bullshit me and say that you don't know what I'm talking about because you clearly do." You demanded, nostrils flaring and fists clenched.
"Like I really need to fucking say it." Javi huffed, shaking his head with a sarcastic laugh.
"You don't, because you've made it very clear, but yeah, I'd like to hear you say it."
You could feel the heat seething through your veins as Javi chewed at the inside of his lip, trying to bide whatever time he could to keep from bruising his pride.
"Wow, I really cannot believe this. You're seriously that threatened by Frankie?" You scoffed, stunned that Javi couldn't bring himself to admit it.
"I'm not fuckin' threatened by him." He spit back, eyes peeled to the ground. "He's just way too fucking comfortable with you."
"Oh, you cannot be serious. Because I've known him forever and he's a nice guy? Jesus Christ, Javi."
"I've been watching the way he's been fucking looking at you since the moment he said hello to you. How he's talking to you, acting with you, it's like- Jesus, it's like he trying to-"
"What? Like he's trying to flirt with me? Like he likes me?" You questioned, raising your voice enough to finally get Javi to look at you, letting him feel the frustration you were engulfed in.
"Yes! Jesus fucking Christ, yes!" Javi groaned back, growing more heated by the second.
"And what if he was, Javi? What if he was trying to flirt with me? Do you really in your right mind think that I would ever, EVER pick him above you?" You asked, throwing up your hands in defeat, voice trembling as you fought back tears, "So what if he was? I'm yours, Javi, and I've got the fucking ring on my finger to prove it."
You and Javi stood in silence for a moment, watching each other's chests rise and fall on beat. You swear you can see it in his eyes, the way everything about Javi seems to shift, realizing how badly he'd fucked tonight up.
Before you can get in another word, you can see Javi's eyes lock on the single stall bathroom door that's swung open at the end of the hallway, looking once at you and once again at the bathroom. You weren't even able to protest before he had grabbed you by the hand, checking once over his shoulder before ushering you inside and locking the door behind him.
As the lock clicked, you could feel the heat in your cheeks burning, and not just with anger like they were a few moments ago. The dim light of the bathroom flickered over the shadowy figure of Javi's broad body until he had your back flushed against the sink, pinning you between the porcelain and him.
"Javi, what are you-"
Suddenly, Javi had one hand cradling the back of your head, the other wrapped around your hip as he craned his neck down to let his lips collide with yours.
The angry part of you wanted to push him off you, to berate him with your frustrations until he apologized for how childishly he had behaved tonight.
Every other part of you that was so turned on by the fact Javi was so worked up, he had no other choice than to fuck you in the bathroom to prove that you were his, couldn't have cared less about it.
"You're all fucking mine, you know that?" Javi growled, his words warm against your skin, muffled between messy kisses.
"I'm all yours, Javi." You moaned, fighting to let each word escape from your lips as your mouths became frantic, colliding with tongues and teeth.
Your breath hitched in the back of your throat as Javi's hands slid down your sides, fingers fumbling with the button and zipper on your jeans until he the denim and your underwear pooled around your ankles.
After your jeans had dropped to the ground, his hands were back on your sides, fingertips digging into your skin as he flipped you around, your stomach pressed against the countertop, ass flushed against his hips where you could feel the strain of his cock beneath his pants.
"No one else gets to have you like this. Gets to make you feel like I do." Javi groaned, your core aching at the clanking of his belt coming undone behind you, watching his brow furrow in concentration in the reflection from the mirror in front of you, "Do they, baby?"
"N-No." You whimpered, feeling him run his tip through your folds, collecting the slick that had already begun pooling between your thighs.
"You gonna let me fuck you right here in this bathroom, hermosa? Let everyone here know that you're mine?" Javi mewled, whispering into your ear as he buried his head in the crook of your neck.
"Mhmmmhh." You nodded, whining as Javi teased you with the head of his cock, prodding at your entrance, "Please."
Javi chuckled softly to himself, hearing you gasp as he filled you with every inch of him, hips pressed firmly against your ass. You could practically feel your eyes roll to the back of your head with how full he felt inside you, despite how easily you had taken him from how wet and worked up you were.
"Love this pussy so much, baby. Always so fucking wet and tight for me."
Your eyes opened as Javi began to thrust into you, startled by the already deliberate pace he was setting with each snap of his hips. Staring back at the mirror, you could see the smug smirk spreading between Javi's cheeks, knowing how quickly he could make you crumble.
Your hands shot back behind you, wrapping around Javi's stomach, trying to grab fist fulls of his shirt to brace yourself as he fucked into you. With the grip Javi had around your hips, you shouldn't have been worried about going anywhere, only about the marks that he'd leave in the pump flesh of your skin after he was finished.
"Oh fuck, Javi! Fuck, oh my godddd-" You moaned, all consumed by the feeling of his length sliding in and out of your cunt, perfectly pounding at your g-spot with every thrust.
You tried to let your head dip back, but before you could tilt it any further, one of Javi's hands had shifted, snaking up your front and wrapping around your jaw, forcing your gaze back in the mirror to meet his.
"Nuh uh, mi amor," he paused, gritting his teeth as he swore under his breath, trying to compose himself, "need to see you, Osita. Wanna see that pretty face when I make you cum and fuck you so fucking full of me, you're gonna feel me dripping out of you all night."
His words had seemed to spark something feral in the both of you, moaning his name as you backed your ass up further into him, taking everything that he had to give.
With your eyes locked in filthy glass reflection, Javi's hand slid back down your sides, smacking your ass before reaching around to your front, slotting himself between your thighs to find your clit, puffy and aching to be touched.
"Fuck, Javi! Feels so fucking good." You whined, the newfound pressure of his fingers against your clit causing the tingle building at the base of your spine to grow rapidly.
"Yeah? And who's the only one that gets to make you feel this good, baby?" Javi grunted, hips slapping against your ass, each thrust feeling harder and deeper than the last.
With the way Javi was fucking you, you felt lucky that your brain could manage to string together a coherent thought, let a lone a comprehendible sentence, your words heavy and breathless as you fought against the overwhelming sensation of your orgasm starting to creep through your body.
"You! It's- fuck- it's you Javi! Only you!" You sobbed, praying that the music and chatter of the bar was loud enough to drown out your volume.
"That's my girl." Javi devilishly grinned, feeling the way your cunt was clamping down around his cock, sensing how close you were to finishing, "Gotta cum first for me, hermosa. Fuckin' soak me before I cum so deep inside of you."
Javi began to circle your clit faster, putting just enough pressure on your sensitive bundle of nerves to push you over the edge, your vision going white as your orgasm began to crash through you.
"Fuck, Javi! Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuckfuckfuck-ahhhhh!"
You could feel how instantly limp your body had gone, so drunk on pleasure, that if Javi hadn't been behind you, holding you up, you were convinced you would have collapsed over the edge of the sink you were fucking on.
You knew Javi wasn't far behind you, his thrusts becoming sloppy and frantic as he chased his own high, desperate to make good on his promise to fill you with every last drop he had to give.
"That's it, baby. Fuck, I'm- mierda- I'm close. Gonna give you everything. Let everyone know who this pussy belongs to. Feels so fucking- fuck- so fucking good. Oh, fuck, fuck, fuck!"
With one last pump of his cock, Javi was spilling inside you, painting your walls with his spend, burying himself inside your cunt until he you had taken everything he had to give.
The warmth and wetness of your mixed arousal pooled where your bodies met, making a mess between your thighs as Javi began to pull out.
The both of you watched as your bodies rose and fell in the mirror, trying desperately to catch your breath in your post orgasmic haze. It wasn't long until your unhinged jaws were replaced with devious smirks, Javi grabbing you by the waist to flip him back towards him, pulling you to his chest as he kissed you.
"Damn, maybe I should make you jealous more often." You teased, biting down on your lip as you gave Javi a loving poke on his chest before reaching down to pull your pants back up your legs.
"Whatever." Javi sighed, playfully rolling his eyes at you as he did the same, looping his belt back through his jeans. He let out another deep breath, arms crossed over his chest as he looked up at you with a sheepish shrug, "I'm- fuck. I'm sorry about tonight. I was a dick."
"It's okay." You smiled, pressing up on your tiptoes to drape your arms around his neck, planting a soft kiss on his lips, "I love you. And only you. I don't think you could get rid of me, even if you tried. And I think that me letting you fuck me in this dirty ass bar bathroom proves that."
The two of you laughed, turning back to the mirror to readjust the sweaty mats of tangled hair and crinkled clothes in hopes of avoiding any suspicions when you made your way back to the table.
"I know. Still shouldn't have been an asshole about it." He shrugged, stepping behind you so that his chest was pressed against your back and arms were draped across your front, his mustache tickling your neck as he leaned in to whisper in your ear, "This was fucking hot, though."
"It was. Feel sorry for the next person who has to use this bathroom." You grimaced, hoping that you hadn't managed to leave a trace of the ways you had further disrespected the dingy restroom.
"You wanna head out first, or should I?" Javi asked, rocking you back and forth in his grasp, swaying you just enough to make you burst out into giggles.
"It's so late and I'm sure everyone here is hammered, we probably just could sneak out at the same time and no one would notice." You suggested, still drunk enough to not care enough about a proper escape plan.
After one last kiss and smack of your ass, Javi quickly cracked open the door, doing one swift scan before giving you the nod to note the coast was clear.
Javi grabbed you by the hand, looking back at you with a stupid smirk as the two of you left the bathroom, unsuspecting and assuming that you'd be able to make it down the hallway without any run ins.
Unfortunately, Javi hadn't noticed the body across the bar, making a B-line to the bathroom through the drunken crowd towards the bathrooms after his half-assed check.
Before any of you could process it, Javi collided with the other person, both people grunting and stumbling backwards, mumbling apologies as they collected themselves, until they locked eyes.
"Oh, uh- Sorry. Didn't uh- Didn't see you guys coming." Frankie stammered, looking back and forth between you and Javi and the bathroom you had just emerged from, quickly piecing the puzzle before him together.
"All good. See you, uh- see you back at the table." Javi winced, trying his best to keep from laughing as both your cheeks began to turn a bright shade of pink as you slid past Frankie.
"Looks like you may not end up being the only jealous one tonight, Jav."

Once Theo returned from his trip, you somehow managed to minimise the little time you spent together, making barely convincing, half-baked excuses whenever you could. Still, he never commented on it. Perhaps he would have if he actually cared. You weren't sure if you were shutting him out to punish him or yourself.
Still, even you couldn't get out of spending time with your boyfriend entirely, which was how the two of you ended up in your dorm on a Thursday afternoon, working through your homework. You were sitting propped up by your numerous cushions, proof-reading an essay while Theo leaned against on the bed posts at the foot of your bed, reading a Potions book to help with his project.
The two of you worked in silence, equally absorbed in your work - or so you assumed until you heard Theo close his book and set it aside. Without warning, he shifted towards you, and before you could flinch or put more distance between you, his arms were encircling your waist and his head was resting on your abdomen.
You froze. This was the closest he had been since before the trip. You weren't sure if you had even hugged him when he returned.
You shoved down the stab of amusement in your gut. Theo was hardly the playful kind, but every once in a while, when your schedules allowed for it, he would be in a good enough mood to fool around with you in a manner that did justice to the expression. The two of you could lose entire afternoons to whispered giggles, frisky hands, and smothering kisses. Even now, your hand twitched with the instinct to comb through his soft, silky curls.
But while you normally found it endearing, today it was irritating, because you were in a fight with him, albeit one-sided.
"What...are you doing?" you asked in a bored monotone.
He shifted his head like he was getting comfortable. "Taking a nap."
You refused to pull your eyes away from your essay when Theo failed to elaborate. "With me?"
Theo sighed, like he thought you were being purposely difficult. "Yes, you."
Too thrown off to keep up the act, you finally looked up, watching the tiny shadows his long eyelashes cast against his face tanned from one too many summer Quidditch practices. "Why?"
He cracked an eye open and smiled lazily at you, half-drowsy. It wasn't fair how seductive his perpetual bedroom eyes typically were, let alone when they were laced with actual exhaustion. Despite yourself, you felt a flicker of satisfaction over being the only one who got to see him like this - uninhibited and free.
The satisfaction didn't last long. Without any warning, Theo plucked your essay out of your hand, casting it aside as he sat up with a teasing glint in his eye.
"Why? Would you prefer I take a nap with Mattheo?"
He was so close, you were sure he could hear your heart racing. Your mouth went dry. Days of subtly dodging his kisses or making excuses to sit away from him had gone down the drain. The thing about Theo's gaze was that it carried an intensity that demanded answers and explanations. Even as your pulse flickered under his relentless stare, you rolled your eyes without any real heat. "No, of course n-"
Theo leaned in, backing you up against your headboard. Your hands clenched in your sheets restlessly, aching to reach out to him. You struggled to focus on the words coming out of his mouth, dizzy with the proximity. "Is this your way of getting me to sleep with my best friend?"
You could feel it - your face was fully scarlet by now. Honestly, how on earth were you meant to come off calm and collected with a face that gave you away at the drop of a hat?
You shivered as he ran a hand up the skin exposed by your top riding up. You finally caved, settling your hands on his collar. "You're a real comedian, you know that?" you muttered, trying and failing to play it cool as your hands slithered into his hair, dragging him closer.
Theo obliged, hovering over you, broad-shouldered, not half the mess you were underneath him. Not yet, at least. "Next you'll be telling me you want to watch, you little perv."
Your lips twisted into a poorly suppressed smile. "It's why you love me."
"Your voyeuristic tendencies?"
You hummed as his lips finally connected to your pulse. As one of his hands started creeping up your ribcage, you were starting to remember why you put up with him. "Exactly."
You didn't hear what he had to say after that, blissfully distracted by the exhilarating feeling of his skin on yours.
"Cara..." Theo sighed, his breath ghosting the shell of your ear.
"Hmm?"
All too frustratingly soon, he pulled his hands away. He pressed a lingering kiss to your temple. You fought the overwhelming urge to cry. Moments like these proved that he was soft and pliant underneath that rough exterior. As he leaned back, you tenderly brushed back a lock of hair falling in his eyes. Why couldn’t he love you the way you loved him?
"Do you want to tell me why you've been freezing me out?"
The giddy feeling in your stomach died almost immediately. Maybe he wasn't as oblivious as you had thought. Your teeth dug into your swollen bottom lip. You hadn't expected a confrontation, especially not half-naked, though you were beginning to realise it was an oversight on your part. The direct person that he was, Theo was never one for playing games or beating around the bush. You felt your head start to pound, suddenly feeling far too exposed in more ways than one. You distractedly started rebuttoning your shirt before he stopped you.
"Tesoro..." he prompted softly. You heard the firm message hidden in his tone - no more deflecting. You bit the inside of your cheek, gaze fixed on the strong, slender fingers covering yours. It was the closest you had gotten to holding hands.
You felt the absurd urge to laugh. It was laughable, wasn't it? How tragically ironic the whole thing was? You had liked that Theo was low maintenance, but somewhere along the way you decided that low maintenance wasn't enough for you.
You shook your head, finally accepting defeat. How long did you think you could keep up the charade? How long did you think you could tolerate this misery? Indefinitely? Of course not. As soon as you had watched him step off the carriage, still as fresh-faced and only a little quieter than usual, you had known - you were going to have to tell them, and after one awkward conversation, the two of you would part ways, and he would fade into obscurity over the years, only to be remembered as some guy you had dated when you hadn't known any better.
This was it. The beginning of the end.
"Why didn't you tell me about Katherine?"
You thought saying that would be much harder than it was. But then again, you had nothing to lose - not that you ever had anything to lose.
Theo raised his eyebrows slightly. "Ka-"
"Katherine Sawyer," you hissed. After weeks of avoiding bringing it up, it suddenly felt unbearable, having to wait one moment longer for the answer. "You know, the one you've been cosying up with every other night?"
"I only know one Katherine," Theo started irritably. "Just the one. And I haven't spoken to her since we wrapped up our Transfiguration project before I left for my trip. You remember, the one worth half our grade?"
"...oh." Oh, indeed.
"This isn't like you, Y/N," Theo pressed. "You've never cared about who I talk to. You've always trusted me."
The implication stung. "I don't care who you talk to," you protested. "I still trust you."
And it was true - you had only very briefly, if at all, entertained the idea of Theo having an affair. Even then, it was a notion borne of weeks of exhaustion from catering to your aconite's every little need. But it had been the spark for your brooding resentment.
"I just wish you had told me about her or mentioned her some time. It feels - " Your breath caught. "It felt like you were keeping secrets from me."
Theo's jaw ticked. He let out an exasperated sigh.
"Then why didn't you just ask me?"
You dropped your eyes.
"Dunno. Just...didn't want you to get mad."
His eyebrows disappeared into his hair.
"Didn't want me to get mad?" Theo echoed incredulously. "Honestly, L/N," he said sharply, looking more than a little peeved, "what did you think I was going to do?"
"I don't know," you wailed, closer to tears than ever, "break up with me?"
Theo opened his mouth to respond before closing it again. He furrowed his brow, mouthing indecipherable half-words as if trying very hard to wrap his head around what you were saying. Then, without warning, he pulled you close, wrapping his arms around you.
"Right," he finally said, with the air of someone washing their hands of some uselessly challenging task. You could barely focus on his words with the thrill running under your skin. Theo didn't mind being hugged - it was one of the frills he indulged you in - but he wasn't exactly the hugging type. "Next time something's bothering you, I want you to stop what you're doing and come find me."
You twisted your head out of his chest with some difficulty. "What if you're-"
"No - no exceptions," he continued, tightening his hold around you. "No letting it spiral into - whatever this was-"
"So," you interrupted shakily, "you're not breaking up with me?"
Theo glanced down at you, looking like he was going to have a coronary.
"No," he said, with some effort, staring at you like you'd grown a third head. "I'm not." He tilted his head, still squinting at you. "Are you sure you've been growing your aconite properly? It seems like it's been screwing with your head."
"Hey," you scowled, wriggling out of his grasp and giving him a dirty look. "I'll have you know Professor Sprout thinks my mandrakes are -"
But you never got to what Professor Sprout thought about your mandrakes, because you had spotted a familiar teasing glint in Theo's eye.
"About time you started taking it out on me," he laughed, blocking your spirited yet ineffective efforts in shoving him off your bed. You flopped onto your pillows once you gave up, flushed with bedraggled hair. Served you right for dating a 200-pound brute of a guy. "I was starting to think you were going to keep that all bottled up forever."
"Yeah?" you panted, embarrassingly out of breath. "Just you wait. I'm not...finished. It's going to be two more weeks of...of this...once I-"
"- catch your breath, darling?"
You glared at him. Theo could make anything sound salacious while looking perfectly innocent, a trait that was especially inconvenient during some of your shared lessons. You debated giving him the finger, but that would only further amuse him.
Besides, you were feeling very comfortable lying on your mountain of pillows and cushions. You closed your eyes for just a minute. "Dead man walking, Nott," you mumbled, pushing back the hair that had plastered to your forehead.
You opened your eyes when you felt him rest his head on your abdomen once again, his arms coming up around your hips.
"I'm serious about the nap, though," Theo said. "Jet lag is a bitch and Mattheo's going to take the piss out of me if I'm too tired to show up for practice."
You softly carded your fingers through his hair, your fingernails barely grazing his scalp. "Yeah, yeah, sure, you're sleepy. You're always sleepy." You tapped his face insistently as he already looked halfway to dozing off. "You realise that?"
"'M not," he mumbled out the corner of his mouth, relaxing under your touch. "It's the jet lag."
You rolled your eyes. "Yes, you are. All I have to do is get you to stop thinking for two minutes and you'll nod right off, jet-lagged or not. It's because you're always drinking that damn coffee at all hours of the night." Your hair-raking turned somewhat fastidious. "What's your magnesium intake like?"
Theo huffed. "You're so bossy, you know that?"
"Avocado, spinach, almonds, quinoa-"
"I eat plenty o-"
" - less coffee -"
"I like the taste!"
"You could always take decaf."
Theo choked, eyes flying open.
"You take that back."
You eyed him sternly but relented. He couldn't help his Italian roots. "Well, you still need enough magnesium to get a proper night's rest-"
Theo groaned, burying his face into your stomach once again.
"Enough with the magnesium." He sucked in a breath between his teeth, grumbling to himself. "Merlin, I forgot how bothersome you could be."
"It's not my fault you need someone to bully you into taking care of yourself," you retorted.
"Whatever," Theo muttered, and it was something so comfortingly familiar you couldn't hold back a smile.
"Honestly...you and your...fucking magnesium..."

the house had been abandoned for years, yet it felt lived in. the dust layered thickly over forgotten furniture, but the air carried something else―something alive. or perhaps, something not quite dead.
you had moved in only days ago, drawn to its eerie charm despite the whispers from the locals. "don't go near that house," they'd said. "it's cursed. haunted."
but you didn't believe in ghosts. at least, not until him.
he appeared on the fourth night, the first few days had been uneventful―just you, your boxes, and the occasional creak of old wood settling under your footsteps. but on the fourth night, you woke to a presence. it wasn't a sound, not even a shift in the air, but something deeper, something primal.
your breath hitched as you sat up in bed. the moon barely lit the room, yet in the dim glow, you saw him.
a man―no, a figure―stood near the window. his frame was lean but strong, clothed in nothing but the shadows wrapping around him. his eyes, dark and endless, held yours with an intensity that sent a shiver down your spine.
"who―" your voice faltered.
"heeseung..." the name rolled off his tongue like a secret, hushed and forbidden.
your heart pounded. "you―what are you doing in my house?"
a smirk played at the edges of his lips. "your house?" he mused, stepping closer. His movement was fluid, almost unnatural, like he wasn't walking but rather gliding through the space between worlds.
"this was mine long before it was yours." your breath caught when he neared the edge of the bed. despite the ghostly aura that surrounded him, he felt solid, real. and the way he looked at you―like he could devour you whole―made heat coil low in your stomach.
"you should leave," you whispered, though even you weren't convinced by your own words.
heeseung tilted his head, amused. "do you really want me to?"
his fingers brushed against your arm―cold at first, sending goosebumps across your skin. but then, as if your body willed it, warmth spread in its place.
your lips parted, though no sound came. you should have been scared, but the only thing you felt was desire. a longing so deep it made your skin prickle.
heeseung smirked at your silence, leaning in until his face was mere inches from yours. his breath, cool and ghostly, fanned against your lips.
"i've been watching you," he admitted, voice dropping lower, more intimate. "every night since you arrived. do you know how difficult it is to want something you can't touch?"
your thighs clenched at his words. "you're touching me now."
he chuckle was dark, filled with something dangerous. "not nearly enough."
before you could react, his hands ghosted down your sides, skimming over the thin fabric of your sleepwear. his touch left a trail of fire in its wake, making you arch instinctively.
"heeseung―" you breathed, unsure whether you were warning him or begging him.
he didn't wait for permission. his lips met yours―not in a kiss, but something far more sinful. he hovered, letting his mouth brush against yours, teasing you with the sensation but never fully giving in.
"you feel that?" he murmured, his lips tracing your jaw, neck. "even death couldn't keep me from you."
your fingers curled around his shoulders, surprised by the solidness of him, the way his body shifted between the ethereal and the tangible. it was intoxicating, the way he existed in both worlds―just enough for you to feel him, but never enough for you to keep him.
his hands roamed lower, fingers skimming beneath your gown, making your breath stutter. every touch sent sparks racing through your veins, setting you alight.
"tell me to stop," he challenged, his lips brushing against the shell of your ear. but you didn't. you couldn't.
instead, you pulled him closer, needing him, wanting him, consequences be damned.
heeseung groaned against your skin, his grip tightening. "you don't know what you're inviting in, sweetheart."
his mouth finally met yours―fully, deeply, hungrily. his lips were cool, but the heat between you burned hotter than anything you'd ever known. he kissed you like he had waited lifetimes, like he had craved this for centuries. and maybe he did. maybe you were his unfinished business. maybe you were always meant to be haunted by him.
his kiss was an unraveling―slow yet brimming with a hunger that threatened to consume you whole. his fingers curled around your waist, pressing you into the mattress, the weight of him both foreign and intoxicating. his body hovered over yours, not quite solid, not quite smoke, but something in between.
his lips left yours only to travel lower, tracing the delicate line of your throat, down to your collarbone, lingering at the sensitive spot where your pulse thrummed wildly beneath your skin. you gasped as his tongue flicked out, cool against your heated flesh, sending a shiver down your spine.
"heeseung," you whispered, your voice caught between a plea and a prayer.
he chuckled, low and dark, the sound vibrating through. "say my name again."
"heeseung," you breathed, and the way his name rolled off your tongue had him groaning against your skin.
his hands moved with an eerie grace, slipping beneath the fabric of your sleep gown. his touch burned―cold at first, then warm, then searing. he was becoming more solid, more real, the longer he lingered in your presence, as if your very essence was pulling him back from the void.
"you're making me stronger," murmured, almost in awe. "do you know what that means?"
you shook your head, unable to form coherent words as his fingers traced the bare skin of your waist, his thumb rubbing gentle circles against your hips.
heeseung lifted his head, his dark eyes locking onto yours, something unreadbale swirling in their depths. "it means i can touch you―" he pressed his lips to the sensitive skin just beneath your ear, "i can have you."
his lips crashed against yours again, harder this time, more desperate. his kiss was fire and ice, a contradiction in every way, consuming and freezing all at once.
there was no hesitation, restraint―only the raw, unrelenting need that had been brewing between you since the moment you first saw him standing in the moonlight.
his name fell from your lips like a mantra, over and over, as he worshiped your body with ghostly reverence. he moved like he was memorizing you, etching your form into the fabric of his existence. as if by holding you, touching you, he could anchor himself to this world.
and in that moment, you weren't sure who was haunting who.
he moved with an urgency that was almost desperate, like he'd waited lifetimes for this moment. his lips found yours again, searing and demanding, his hands gripping your hips as if he was afraid to let go. and maybe he was. maybe he feared that once he had you, you'd slip away, leaving him in the void where he had been trapped for so long.
your fingers dug into his shoulders, pulling him closer, pressing yourself against him as if that would be enough―if he would ever be enough.
his breath came ragged, his lips trailing down your neck, lingering where your pulse pounded wildly beneath your skin. "you feel so alive," he murmured, almost in awe. "so warm."
his name left your lips in a gasping moan as he moved, as he possessed you in a way that was more than just physical. he wasn't just touching your body― he was consuming your soul, pulling you into him, binding you to him in a way that couldn't be undone.
the room felt charged, the air thick with something unseen, something otherworldly. the shadows flickered along the walls, moving in sync with the rhythm of your bodies, as if the very house itself recognized what was happening―recognized that this moment was something beyond human, beyond mortality.
you shattered beneath him, around him, your body trembling as pleasure ripped through you in waves, drowning you in him, in this moment, in everything.
heeseung groaned, his grip bruising, his breath sharp and uneven as he buried his face in the crook of your neck. he stayed there for a moment, his body pressed against yours, his chest rising and failing in time with yours.
then he lifted his head, his dark eyes locking onto yours, burning with something possessive, something final.
he leaned in, lips brushing against your ear as he whispered, "you're mine now. forever."
and you knew, with every fiber of your being that he meant it.

“where’s the trophy? he just comes running over to me”
part one of THE ALCHEMY.
pairing: will lenney x fem!reader
warnings & tags: friends to lovers. idiots with tension. idiots in denial. slowish burn. lots of nerdy football talk + a side of Willne.
summary: The two times you were recruited to play in a Sidemen charity match, and the one time you score.
a/n: hello!!! this is based on the 2022 sidemen charity match, but for convenience purposes, it's set in 2023. for the plot, of course.
also, i’m tired of looking at this so this is being posted without review! i promise part two will have more will, i’m just setting us up for success in part one. you’ll absolutely love it.
please enjoy <3
wc: idek at this point
The buzz that interrupted your sleep wasn’t what concerned you, it’s the fact that after you had hung up the first and second time, there was a third call. Begrudgingly, you toss your sheets aside and sit up, eyeing the phone on the bedside table. To no surprise, it was Simon.
You were no stranger when it came to working with the Sidemen. Starting off as a crew member who was good with a camera, slowly you were incorporated into videos, and eventually had the confidence to create your own platform. After leaving the Sidemen to focus on building your solo career, most of your audience didn't know where you gained your footing, becoming a bigger public figure outside of their work.
Getting a phone call from Simon wasn't uncommon, needless to say. You were always ready to film, to bring in new ideas for them, to be on set. After all, you had been friends with the lads for years.
"Hello?" you croak, trying to smooth down the hair that was knotted in the back of your head.
"Y/n! How are you, mate?" Simon's voice was overly chipper and sweet, too sweet. You eye your phone for a moment before pressing it back up to your ear. It was too early in the morning for either of you to be awake.
"Christ, Simon, I know you aren't just calling me at seven in the morning to ask how I am," you replied. Simon sighs briefly before letting out an airy chuckle.
"Alright, I need to ask you for a favor." That's what you were expecting. His voice hesitant and low, it made you wonder what this could really be about.
"Okay, go on then," you yawn. You weren't sure why Simon was being so ominous; you had done the lad loads of favors in the past. Bringing in extra camera crew, reaching out to other influencers, helping plan out events-
"Would you sub in for Andres for the charity match next week? I know it's last minute, but he had other conflicts, and you're one of my best mates. You-" Simon rambles before you swiftly interject.
"Simon, what are you waffling on about? You can't be serious," you say seriously. The grogginess from waking up immediately disappears, and you begin to regret picking up the phone.
"I know it's mad, but we've tossed around a ball quite a bit before-"
"I haven't seriously played footy since I was in high school! I can't imagine the shit I'd get if I were to even step foot into that stadium."
"I know-"
"And I'm the only girl! That's like a misogynist's nightmare, a woman who can think and compete!" Getting on your feet, you pace around your room like a madman. Your free hand finds its way into your hair, coarsing through it multiple times, stressfully.
"Would you let me finish? Then you can decide if it's bollocks or not," Simon asked finally. You heave out a breath of air and then hum in response. The least you could do is give him time to try to convince you.
"Look, it's the first time a lot of them have played football, and some of them play like it's the first time. It's really about having a good time, " he explains, which admittedly puts some of your worries at ease- and gets a small laugh out of you.
"Also.." he says hesitantly, hitching his breath as he trails off. You roll your eyes and groan. Of course, there's more to it; there always is. You sit back onto the edge of the bed, foot impatiently tapping on the wood floor.
"I may have called Will, and he may have told me to ask you; he promised me that with enough begging.. you'd say yes," he says, almost like a question. There's a small hint of teasing when he says it, and you can practically see the prat smiling through the screen.
Your end of the call goes silent. A flush starting at the tips of your ears and growing at the bulbs of your cheeks.
..
In 2018, the day before the charity match, you met Will in person for the first time. You knew of him through brief passing and mentions of him from Cal and the other Sidemen. Yet you never spoke to him until you were messing around with your camera during practice, getting ready to film the match the next day.
"This is who I was telling you about, Will," Cal smiles, grabbing your attention from the camera. You peer over your shoulder to see a younger lad with dark hair standing beside him. You politely set the camera down on the bench and extend your hand out to him.
"Hi, I'm y/n, I've heard good things about you!" you smile, and he leans down, weakly taking your hand and shaking it.
"Hello," he responds, his once loud chatter with Cal made you assume he'd be much more talkative. But now he is quiet and fidgety, and it makes you wonder if you've already made a bad first impression.
"Y/n is our best camerawomen. I ought to get you familiar with her; maybe you can get some good screen time." Cal smirked. Will shoves him lightly with a chuckle.
"I'm not all bad, I reckon," he insists, and you put your hands up defensively.
"Hey, we'll just have to see on the field, won't we?" you express, grabbing the large equipment and getting ready to move it inside. You stand up, getting a better look at his face. He's tall, his hair short and freshly cut, his jawline is carved out sharply, making it hard to go unnoticed.
"Cheeky," Will commented, crossing his arms over each other. And unknowingly, a grin had worked its way onto your face, your tongue pressing against the inside of your cheek. You shrug,
"I gotta get going, it was nice meeting you Will,"
..
Since then, you and Will have kept in contact frequently. He interacted with you on social media, had you come to feature in his videos, and texted you almost every day. Seeing one another once every few months had become every weekend when you moved closer to London. And you can bet that this didn't go unnoticed by anyone. Sharing clothes, traveling together, posting each other, seeing each other more than your own family— you can only assume why everyone has their presumptions.
Yet, you were great at denying, avoiding, and more importantly ignoring these blistering questions on if they or won’t they.
"So.. you called Will first, before calling me?" you ask slowly, processing it yourself. The pads of your fingers rub against your temple, then smoothing your palm across your cheek hoping it would brush away the pink that dusted your face.
"Yeah," Simon says quickly. "Is it more convincing now? "
"Fuck off,"
"I know it is," he insists. You mutter profanities under your breath before letting it go silent.
Because it is much more convincing knowing that Will had that kind of faith and trust in you. It's more convincing knowing the person closest to you would be right by your side. You weigh out the options in your head. If you do play, you'll get to say you played in front of 30,000 people, raised money for charity, and more importantly, were able to help out some of your closest friends.
"Simon, I don't know.." You mutter hesitantly, biting the nail on your thumb. Sure, you had played footy competitively in high school and tossed a ball around here and there with the lads, but other than that, you hadn't really played in a few years now.
"C'mon, you don't have to be any good, it's for charity y/n! You have to! There will be loads of fans happy that you're playing!" Simon coaxed. You shake your head instantly, knowing that half the boys lived and breathed football.
“You can’t say I don’t have to be any good when you’re probably one of the best players out there.” Countering his argument, you can tell you're at the breaking point. He's cracked you down efficiently, being nice, complimenting you, bringing Will into it- It's working so well you almost hate him for it.
“I’ve exhausted my options, y/n, please, this one time, and I’ll never ask again.” Simon protests. You huff, exasperated, and without letting another beat pass,
"Alright,"
"Alright?" he repeats, the surprise evident in his tone. You gnaw at your bottom lip, adn squeezed your eyes shut before speaking again.
"Yeah, okay, put me in." You decide finally. You can hear movement on the other end and a few other voices shout in delight. Of course, he couldn't be alone when he made the phone call.
"Oh my god, this will be legendary, thank you, thank you, thank you," Simon begins excitedly, which brings a smile to your face. Simon, even though he always was teetering on the edge of your limit, was charming and kind and that's what makes it hard to deny him.
"You're playing center, by the way. See you in a week mate!" and the phone call clicks. There, you're left to stare at your phone screen, watching as you get added to a group chat and texts start to roll in.
One week, seven days, to magically get good at football again. Right, well, it’s much too late to turn back now.
"Cheers," muttering to yourself. You fall back onto the bed, checking your messages to see a new one from Will.
"wanna show this novice the ropes?"
Word obviously spreads fast, is the first thing you think. And then you snort, with a quick eye roll, the pads of your fingers drumming against the screen.
"fuck off" you begin to type but instead you text back,
“pitch at 6 sharp"
And almost immediately Will texts back,
“wouldn’t miss it :)”
⚽️...
You arrive to the pitch first, bringing an old ball covered in dirt from when you had last dribbled with Chris. Will arrives shortly after, a wide smile and an excited pep to his jog.
“Six sharp!” he says, checking his watch to show you it's exactly 6pm. Will is very timely; he’s considerate of people's time and even makes an extra effort to arrive early. He never wants to be the wanker who shows up late and wastes others time and efforts.
"That ball is just filthy, innit?" he comments, his true Geordie accent making a clear appearance. You roll your eyes quickly.
“I don't see yours anywhere,” you respond, finishing up tying the laces of your shoes. You rock on your feet a few times, creasing the shoe and getting it to warp around your feet snugly.
"Fair enough." Immediately, Will picks the ball up and twirls it between his fingers. "What should we do first?"
You both practice dribbling, passing, and shooting. Eventually, moving on to striking and stealing, which gets aggressive, causing you to have bruises all along your legs. Will thinks that after a while, it's a good idea to mess around so you both don't end up hating each other. The time passes by swiftly, the sun setting behind you both before you realize it.
The sky is highlighted with hues of orange, yellow, and a deep red in the horizon. You turn to look at Will; his shoulder grazes your side, and as if on cue, he looks at you, too.
He silently smiles, and for a second it’s all it is, but then his hand comes up and brushes the cool of your cheekbone. He brushes the stray hair that fell, tucking it behind your ear. Smoothing down any hairs that stuck out on the back of your head with his palm.
Will always find an excuse to touch you, to be physically closer. He’s an affectionate person, you’ve always riddled it as. Oh, there’s a stray hair on your face, oh a piece of fuzz on your sweater, don’t worry if you’re nervous— his hand crawls its way onto the small of your back. And every time he did something like this, your feelings soared and free-fall in the air. You don’t know how much longer you can swallow down the shyness you feel when it happens.
Instead, you give him a small shove.
“Stop it,”
“I was just helpin’ ya,” his voice squeaks.
“Just like how you helped get Simon to convince me to play in the match next week?” You shove the ball into his chest, backing up, motioning him to play. He lets out an airy chuckle, rolling the ball onto the field and dribbling it between his feet.
“Heard about that didn’t you?”
He kicks it toward you.
“Mhmm. “
And you kick it, hard, right back.
“I didn’t help him; all I did was suggest that he ask you because you’re reliable.” Will tried to dribble around you, but it rolled just far away enough for you to steal it.
Will runs towards the goal post, attempting to block you or maybe even tackle you, you aren’t sure. From the times you’ve watched Will play, his limbs tend to fly around and it’s like he’s just experienced walking for the first time.
“And not because you know I wouldn’t say no to the prat?”
“Look, to make it up to you I’ll score you a goal at the game,” Will offers, making you raise your eyebrows. He says semiseriously, but you have a feeling it’s more joking than anything. He was always good with banter anyway.
“Yeah right,” You walk back, running up to the ball and kicking it with the side of your foot— flying into the right corner of the net.
Wills eyes widen as he watches you jog over to grab the ball again.
“And you’re the one who needs practice?” he pipes, forgetting about the conversation. You smile shyly and shake your head, grabbing the ball and handing it to Will.
"You think too highly of me, Will." His hands cup yours, causing you to look up at him. The eye contact is soft, yet his eyes squint, and you notice the small clench of his jaw.
"I don't think so. I reckon others think the world of you as well, " Will retorted seriously.
There it is again. What is so small and meaningless to him is the grandest gesture you could ever receive. Whatever way you feel is growing, and you're letting it kill you. You can hear it in the silence, see it with the lights off, and feel it when he steps into a room. It has never been clearer to you than now.
Will notes the silence on your end, reeling back his hands and letting the ball drop to the ground. He scratches the back of his neck before sweeping the ball between his feet and turning around.
"We should focus, shouldn't we? Keep practicing," he mutters absentmindedly. The words are caught in your throat, itching on the tip of your tongue. It takes every atom of your being not to blurt out your every thought. You try to ground yourself by moving your fingers, shaking off the tingling feeling Will left. Your mouth opens to say something, anything, but it snaps shut at the sight of the geordie man looking back at you.
So, instead, you ignore the interaction completely.
"Yeah, let's do that, practice."
And that’s what you did. Every day for a week, you both played until your fingers were numb and noses pink from the chill. The sun would be long gone, the stars visible in the dark, the dim lights that lit the field flickering during the times when they were ready to turn off.
And every night, when Will offered to take you home, you said yes. Will would walk on the side of the sidewalk closest to the road, his shoulder would bump into yours, and you would listen quietly to anything he had to say. He would go on and on and on the entire way home, and you still would ask if he wanted to come inside your flat for a few.
A few minutes would be you showing him your next video, and then you would cook together, and he would sit on your couch and scroll through his phone. The time moved quicker than it did on the field, causing you both to stay up late into the night.
“Where are you going?” You question from the couch, eyeing the way he begins to walk over to the door. He stands up straighter than before, looking at his phone, and then back up at you.
“Home, it’s late,” he reminded.
“Exactly. Stay, don’t act like you haven’t before,” you insist, already going to grab a few blankets and pillows for Will on the couch.
Some nights weren’t always like this. Sometimes, you’d watch something on the telly, and he’d scroll through his phone. Your body would press against his casually, like you two have done for months. Except you're more weary and hesitant, feeling like your every move was a gesture of something more.
For a week it felt like you two were playing house. It was odd, and you knew it. Everyone knew it. When James would call Will there would be quiet snickering, loud teasing. Faith and Sabina would ask for updates after seeing both of your story posts. When Simon called Will to see if he was coming to training day, he asked to speak to you knowing you’d be around.
Yet this didn’t stop the overnights at your flat, it didn’t stop Will from doing his work from your room, it didn’t prevent you from doing loads of laundry together, and it definitely didn’t stop you both from taking the train together to the hotel the day before the match.
⚽️…
The ground below you rumbles from the audience in the stadium. As the time passes you know it’s getting closer and closer to the start of the match. Your leg bounces up and down as you stretch in your own locker room, your hands shake putting on the red uniform, there’s a dryness in your throat that not even all the water in the world could wash away.
“You alright?” Wills asks quietly as his hand slips onto your shoulder. He’d been asking if you were okay ever since you lot left the hotel. And everytime you responded,
“Yeah, yeah,” except your eyebrows were knitted together, your hands picked at the beds of your nails, and you could barely interact with anyone without feeling like passing out.
“Don’t psyche yourself out, darlin. I make a fool of myself every year, all you have to do is show up and you’ve done your part!” he says delicately. You inhale through your nose at the nickname, jaw clenching to focus on breathing. All you do is nod, giving him a small smile.
You aren’t sure what will kill you first, the charity match, or the yearning in your heart. And hopefully, it’ll be the charity match.
Once everyone begins to stand, it’s three o’clock, and just like that the world begins to move incredibly fast. The lads begin two straight lines, moving through the tunnel swiftly. They all seem so confident and excited and you don’t think you even remember how to run. With Will standing infront of you, he’s the only thing that is blocking you and your vision from the roaring crowd outside.
Forgetting his gopro is on, you tap on Wills shoulder
“I’m literally shitting myself right now Will,” he laughs and he takes your hand in to his for a moment with a small squeeze,
“We’ll be all right, swear,” and by the time he turns around, you’re out in the field and the roar of the audience is jarring. You’re convinced your head whips an entire 360 to get a good look at how big the crowd was.
Once you’re down the field, you’re shaking hands with the opposing team. You nod politely and greet your friends, making polite, quick, small talks with JJ, Vik, Josh, Harry, and then Simon. You brief him with a handshake and shove at him lightly,
“God if this goes to shit, i’m blaming it all on you, ya know that?” you joke and he laughs loudly.
“I’ll keep that in mind, y/n”
You greet Chris, Tobi, and Jimmy finally before jogging your way to center to get ready for the kick off. You look back and squint your eyes to see Will as right wing, he can see you and he shows you a thumbs up. And for a moment, it washes away your nerves, until the whistle blows and the game has begun.
..
The first half of the match goes by incredibly fast. Chunkz and Niko make the first goals of the match, allowing for the teams spirits to remain high. You’re able to say that you helped assist Niko with his goal, tackling the ball under four large men. The next goal was made by Vik, and as a good sport, and friend, you made your way over to congratulate him properly.
You stay close to Hp and Chunkz during this time, the only two you feel like trust you enough with the ball. The banter is great but the encouragement they give you is better.
As the sweat beads on your forehead, your chest rises and falls quickly. Everytime you manage to catch your breath, you’re off running again. Your eyes squint looking towards Danny, seeing him get ready for the throw-in. You look around at your team and you eyes are quickly looking for Will, to see he’s already looking at you.
There’s a small smile followed by a little wave. You feel your chest tighten again, this overwhelming feeling is all so sudden and new. The sweaty palms, the overthinking, the flush on your neck. Hopefully it’s all from nerves, and not just from the Geordie man.
The moment ended as quick as the moment came, because Danny Aaron’s then throws the ball into the field. Luckily for you, you were on the edge of the box. The ball comes rolling toward you fast, you’re able to dribble it between your feet, swiftly moving past Callux. You decide to create space between the two of you, but with the other team circling in on you, the only thing to do was shoot.
So, you shoot.
The ball is headed straight towards the net and looks like it could make it past the post, but to your disappointment, the ball bounces off the post and goes right back onto the field.
“Shit,” you mutter out, a hand wracking through your hair ready to run after the ball again. But, Theo is quick to take the ball from under one of the lads on the opposing team, making a quick recovery by striking and making the goal.
A breath you didn’t know you’d been holding finally came out. While you smile and clap for Theo, your energy is low and you are so tired.
“Y/n!” a familiar voice yells from behind you, and you’re quick to turn around. Wills hair is pushed back and sweaty, yet he doesn’t think twice before engulfing you into a bone crushing hug.
“Not making a fool of myself am I?” you ask, pulling away to look at him. Will chuckles and shakes his head immediately,
“That’s a joke, right? You’re ridiculous,” he says sincerely and breathlessly. You thank him briefly before substitutions start to happen, allowing there to be some down time.
Which give you the time to remember what he said to you the first time you had practiced together.
“You still promised me a goal,” You mention, before looking into the gopro on his chest, “Will owes me a goal today, and I better get it,”
“I didn’t promise anything,” he counters quickly. Your head tilts at this, with wide eyes, and he nervously laughs and rubs his neck. Even though he knows you’re joking, he still feels the need to fulfill it.
“You know what, I’ll.. do my best to. I can promise you that, y/n.” And without warning, the lot of you are off again.
4 - 3
After the first half of the match, it’s looking promising for your team. Theo scored another goal, and spirits were still high. You were able to switch out and take a needed breather. But after the second half of the match started, that’s when your team started to take a tumble.
You were off the pitch until Pinero got injured, and needed a substitute. So with half a bottle of gatorade and an electrolyte packet in your system, you hopped to your feet and ran back on the field. Once you hear that Simon is getting switched out with Chris, you sigh.
“Fuckin’ hell,” you mutter under your breath, knowing that Chris is a force to be reckoned with. Speed also gets switched off the field, and you’re not sure without him you guys could win. You look around hoping to find a familiar face, but for some reason you can’t find him. Where is the left wing player?
Your thoughts are interrupted by the blow of the whistle, allowing the match to continue. You see the ball fly in the air, and you’re on your feet, going wide incase someone needs to pass. But the ball goes farther and faster than you could run, that’s when you see Will.
Will runs from left back and goes towards the net like he’s a striker. He runs right past Ethan and Harry, getting a close range of the ball. Once Chunkz taps it down, Will slides toward the ball, knocking it into the net.
In the 80’ minute, Will scores what could be the final goal of the match.
“Oh my god,” you say aloud, mouth agape.
In the moment you got tunnel vision. All you could see is Will getting on his feet and spin on his heels looking for something, someone. Everyone starts to run towards Will, to congratulate him, to dogpile on him. But when his eyes land on you, he bolts toward you with all his might.
As he’s running, he’s yelling something, pointing at you. He says it multiple times, too quick for you to make out.
“What!?” You yell breathlessly, leaning forward like you were going to be able to magically tell what he said. But without warning Will comes crashing into you, the impact causing you to stumble backwards, almost losing your footing.
Guess you’ll have to find out what he said later.
When you pull away, you grab onto his shoulders firmly, bouncing with delight.
“Did you see that? I haven’t scored a goal like that ever, i’ve always been in the back—“
“I know! I know!” you cut in between his excitement.
“I’m so glad you were here to see that—“ He’s quickly cut off by the rest of the team congratulating him. Patting him on the shoulder, squeezing him into a brief hug, Chris even comes over and says he’s done well.
You begin to back off to get back into the center field, watching as the smile on Wills face takes over him completely. He radiates warmth, sunshine, and complexities. The ache with quiet yearning, watching him celebrate. There was nothing in the world like it, and if it meant having Will this way rather than not at all- you’ll live with this ache forever.
8 - 7
The match finishes briefly after Will scores. Manny scoring at the 86’ minute tying up the two teams. And Simon, of course, gets the last goal of the match putting his team first. Your team is able to score another point, Theo ends up stepping up to kick the ball and Pie face blocks it from the net. Meaning, the Sidemen have won. Regardless, everyone is in a good mood no matter the turnout. All the players rush towards the field, congratulating each other, briefing the match that just ended.
You thank Hp and Chunkz for a good game, and shake Theos hand for being another good defensive player with you.
Simon makes his way over to you and he puts his hands on the tops of your shoulders, shaking you gently.
“See! It wasn’t so bad was it?” he teased. You roll your eyes and lick the dryness off your lips, admittedly, it wasn’t so bad. After you got over the burning in your chest, the ache in your sides, and the soreness in your thighs.
“Uh no, no, wasn’t too bad. I stayed with Hp and Chunkz a lot of the time, we were all playing really well,” you say before asking how Simon think he did.
“I got a hat trick and three assist, what more could I have asked for?”
“That’s fair,” is all you can respond with. All you can think of is the times you could’ve tried to score, the times you weren’t able to make a good pass, or interfere a pass. Simon reads your mind as he sees the conflict on your face, quick to bring you back to reality.
“I mean you were really great. A few assists, you and Theo on defense was a nightmare, there is no complaints on my end. I hope you consider coming back and playing again, Y/n, seriously.” Simon squeezes your shoulder one last time before he sees Harry, the two rushing towards one another excitedly.
You turn around to see Elz and Munga coming up to you with their mics, a cameraman following. They pull you away from the group of lads whilst everyone gets ready to clap around the stadium. Taking a step back upon seeing the camera, a lopsided smile creeps up on your face.
"Y/n, what an incredible match. You were all over the pitch this game! Can you give us some words about your first time playing in a Sidemen charity match and how it felt?" The mic comes in your face, and you let out an airy chuckle.
"Yeah..um, I haven't played footy since high school, really. When Simon asked for me to play, I was.. reluctant at first, you know, but now I'm really glad I said yes." You rattled on.
"We saw some great strikes on the pitch. How do you feel about barely missing the goal during the first half?" Munya asks.
Licking your lips, you let a beat go by for a moment so you can think. The question poses room for scrutiny from the audience; you can feel your stomach churn, anxiety creeping up on the hairs on the back of the neck. You knew if you seemed too confident, people would not like that, but if you seemed too humble, people would condemn you too.
"Uhm... That's a great question," you begin to say, craning your neck to look for comfort. Your eyes try to find someone in the swarm of people, desperate to get away from the hosts.
"It was my first time! I definitely could've made it if I had been a bit closer or wasn’t getting closed in on,” you finish honestly. There, you see Will is staying back to wait for you. His eyes are wide, and his head is slightly tilted; it's a tender look that was being reserved for you.
"We are thrilled to have you here, and we hope you come back next year,” Elz says and you thank them both quickly before jogging over to Will.
He doesn’t say anything, instead all he does is wrap his arm around your shoulder and guides you to where everyone else is doing their claps around the stadium. You’re curious to see if this moment will make the video, or any of the other ones between the two of you, after all it is up to Mikey.
You find yourself smiling at the crowd, the people, the cameras. In that moment, you truly felt like you belonged and deserved to be there. Saying hello to fans, signing papers, and receiving handmade items. Although, you knew that once this was over, you'd be under mass criticism. You'd go on Twitter and see everyone criticizing how you played, but getting the validation from your mates was all the resignation you needed to tune those other voices out.
“Why the sour face?” Will leans down to whisper to you, amongst the ruckus the lot is making as they leave the pitch.
“Nothing gets past you,” commenting, crossing your arms over on another. He rolls his eyes and groans at this.
“I know you,”
For a second you debate sucking it up, going to the pubs to celebrate with everyone after. Or, going back to the hotel room for the night, and getting ready to leave as soon as possible to see your cats back at home.
“All I want to do is go home, really,” you sigh. Wills face doesn’t change, all he does is hum in response before looking at his phone to see the time.
“Yeah? Why don’t we go back to the hotel and get going,” he suggests simply. You quirk an eyebrow, knowing that prior he was more than willing to go to the pubs with everyone.
“Is.. that what you want?” asking hesitantly. Giving him time to think, and change his mind. But without another beat passing he nods his head.
“Not what about what I want, let’s get home,”
He flashes you a soft, genuine smile that makes the corner of his eyes crinkle. Will smooths your hair done with his palm like always, before silently walking to the locker room to change.
You’re left to stand there, cheeks flushing. Home. Insinuating that home is with you. All of this feels so natural, the soft touches, the quiet intimacy, the longing stares. You wonder how long it’s going to take for you to crack, to risk it all and reveal the raw truth. But, for another day, you can hold on to the pieces of Will that you already have.

Tumblr media
pairing: gojo satoru x reader
content warning: mentions of blood, death, alcohol, yuji did not eat the finger he's a normal jujutsu student, afab reader, mentions of depression, reader is a special grade sorcerer a badass heh, suggestive themes, no smut, second chance trope, shit ton of fluff and an attempt at comedy, some angst here and there
summary: reader's a special grade sorcerer. after losing your sister, you needed someone, you needed satoru. but he wasn't there. things did not end on good terms with him, your ex, before you moved overseas. reader is dead set on avoiding satoru while he just wants you back, no matter what.
a/n: I'll add the content warnings as we proceed. this is the first full fledged fic im working on and its been almost a year since i wrote anything so bear with any mistakes. currently busy with exams so expect updates to be slow. for those who know hindi, was listening to this while writing. it did match the vibe i am going for.

nostalgia's a bitch.
a deep sigh leaves your lips, head tilted upwards while your eyes fluttered close. you tried to stop the onslaught of memories, some sweet while some... you'd rather never revisit. but they always haunt you, coming back to jujutsu high didn't necessarily trigger them.
and then there's him. occupying a whole place in your mind and though most were sweet, except that one memory that overshadowed all. that made you want to walk away from here right now and not even spare a glance back. you didn't know if your heart tingled or your mind raged with the very high possibility of seeing him again. you decided not to dwell on that.
some may call it rather childish to still hold onto a grudge even after a decade but you cannot find it in you to forget. though you convinced yourself to be cordial if— when the time comes.
"are you done moping or do you still wanna have your moment?" shoko called out dryly from behind you, and though you couldn't see her the amusement was clear as day in her voice. you could just sense that smirk growing on her lips.
"nice seeing you again too." you chuckled out with a resigned huff, removing your hands from your pocket as you opened your eyes and turned around to look at her.
it was truly nice seeing her again, it wasn't like you guys never talked, you did keep contact and text whenever possible. she looked more hot, somehow the bags under her eyes only grew darker but it all added to her laid back charm.
her lips tugged into a more softened smile and she tilted her head, the wind blowing both your hair. "missed having you around here. you still look the same."
though she said it sarcastically, her heart was a bit a mushy, she was more happy than she was letting on. she pushed off the wall and approached you, swinging an arm around your shoulder as she hugged you, patting your back.
"this place turned you into a softie." you murmured as you hugged her back, not being able to bite back the smile on your face. maybe you were fretting over nothing, it can't be that bad—
"hm though not as much as satoru for you." she teased and you grunted with a roll of your eyes, pulling away immediately.
"alright alright get off."
your lips pulled into that frown that always seemed to be etched on your face since adulthood started.
"still stingy i see." she remarked amusingly with a raised brow before walking in the gates. your steps hesitated, lips pulling into a grimace as your eyes looked at that gates, that suddenly seemed so daunting. murmuring a 'fuck it' you sauntered behind her.
"im not stingy." you retorted, eyes wandering around as you shoved your hands back in the pockets of your trouser. everything was more or less the same, the depressing aura that could never be concealed by the sounds of innocent laughter of the students here.
students. you looked back at shoko with a raised brow, "how many kids are here?" you asked, though you already knew how many, and had an almost vague idea of who they were. and then there's megumi, who you only saw a handful times before leaving yet had formed quite a bond with. you wonder how much that grumpy (yet sweet) kid has grown.
shoko's brows furrowed a bit, as if racking her mind for it. "there's three kids in the second year, three in the first years." she replied, glancing at you, as if already knowing what you were thinking. "megumi's one of them. he's grown...well i guess. still a grump."
you simply nodded at that, eyes softening as you looked down. you wished for the kids to have a normal life, yeah its not that feasible being in the sorcerer's world but still, you wished for them to have a much more normal-er life than what you had.
"satoru raised him well. don't tell him that though, his ego is big enough as it is." shoko snickered, shaking her head and you scoffed.
"like I'd wanna." you muttered under your breathe before looking up, pushing your glasses up you stared at the door before you. yaga's office.
shoko patted your back before she started to walk away, "again, welcome back. hope this shithole doesn't burn you out again." she called out, disappearing as she turned around the corner, leaving you to your silence.
you sighed, looking down at your heels as you rubbed your forehead in annoyance. you pulled at the neck of your turtlneck, feeling the regret creeping back up. before you know it, your mind was already brimming with overbearing thoughts and doubts. should you really have come back? was it right to come back?
and then your hand dropped to that silver pendent on your chest, the one that had your late sister's picture, twisting it in between your fingers. and somehow your mind calmed down, not by much but enough to pull your shit together.
you had to come back.
Tumblr media
you walked out his office, closing the door behind, your hand griped the doorknob as you leaned your weight on one leg and rested a hand on your hip. you didn't think your day could get any worse.
you thought your only job would be to take on missions or maybe to supervise those less experienced than you, as it was overseas. you did not expect to be made into a part time babysitter. Yaga called it imparting important knowledge and experience to the students but it was all bullshit to your ears.
you had argued that you were not a teacher here and refrained almost immediately, not just its an extra hassle but because Satoru is their teacher. you would bump into him often as it is, you didn't want it to become a daily thing. but that damned old man is too good with his words, trapped her right in them, using her morals and fondness for kids against her.
"fucking hell.." you muttered as you started walking away but paused as you heard the sound of voices coming from somewhere. it wasn't just voices, there were grunts and yelling, clashing of metals and woods.
immediately clocking the energy you turned around and started walking towards the sound, recognising it leads to the ground. as you walked closer and closer, the blurred faces started becoming clearer. and you recognised the spiky hair among them.
your steps slowed to a stop at the edge of the steps leading down, staring at the students engaged in a duel. your arms folded across your chest while a smile tugged on your lips.
you couldn't help the fondness weasling its way into your heart as you observed megumi in a one sided fight, clearly the glasses girl was stronger, you recognised her as the zen'in girl. yet he was holding his own against her, as much he could, his lips pulled into a deeper frown.
your eyes strayed from them to the other kids around. you observed them all, cheering with such passion and smiles. it was endearing, a moment where the harsh reality doesn't seem as depressing. to your utter dismay, the pink haired boy though had taken notice of you, his head tilted innocently as he stared at you in wonder.
though the kid seemed harmless you were suddenly overcome by nervousness. great, nervous over meeting a bunch of kids? you're almost thirty for fucks sake!
you cleared your throat, about to walk down to introduce yourself to him and the kids when the kid suddenly grinned, grinned so bright you thought you'd turn blind. your brows furrowed in confusion before you noticed he is not grinning at you.
...wait how'd you not notice—
"there you are." came his voice from behind you, still that same annoying cheery voice and despite how much it made your annoyance spike, you hated how it still made your heart skip a beat, made your neck grow warmer while your mind went absolute radio silent.
and though it seemed like he said that to his student down below, you didn't need to look behind to know just where his eyes were at.
heaving a deep sigh you looked back, and there he is alright, still towering over you, confidence oozing out of him like he owned the goddamn world. those white hair still looked soft enough, like they always were— nope. not going there.
you spared him a withering glance before looking back at the students, perfectly hiding how you clenched your fists, how suddenly they clamed up. and just your unfortunate luck, the students had stopped and now all of them were staring at you. just great.
as if already sensing your ire his smirk widened as he stood beside you, his head tilted down and what the hell is up with that stupid blindfold?
"not even a hi? im wounded." he teased, lips pulling into a toothy grin and you felt a shiver run down your spine suddenly as if he just checked you out. you glared at him upon the realisation and but it just simply made that cheeky smile widen.
you looked at the kids and tried to offer a smile though you're sure it came out half hearted, fueling your embarrassment. you told them your name but before you could continue he cut in, waving at them in an over enthusiatic manner. "this pretty women here is a special grade sorcerer. don't worry not stronger than me—"
you glare.
"— but she would also be helping you and supervising you during your missions. don't worry she just looks daunting, she don't bite. well maybe a little—"
you glare harder.
"— we go wayyy back. friends and students here at the same place. though i suppose 'friends' is an understatement, lovers maybe—"
"gojo!" you cut him off, glaring daggers at him but like always, he simply laughed. but it wasn't funny to you, you found that decade old anger coming back and this little interaction simply fortified your misgivings about him.
clenching your jaw you held back your tongue, not wanting to embarrass yourself further. taking a deep breath you looked back at the kids, forcing your features to soften but not bothering with a smile.
"its nice to meet you all. please continue." was all you said, rather curtly which wasn't quite intended, before turning around and storming away from there. you didn't miss the absolute confusion on everyone's face yet you were far too swamped in your annoyance and embarrassment to care.
you could hear him dismissing the students before following behind you, leisure steps, no hurry, since his long strides help him catch up to your hurrying legs with ease. he swiftly cuts in your path, standing infront of you with his hands resting casually in his pockets.
"a little rude wasn't it? what would the kids think?" he teasingly murmured, bending down almost condescendingly, broad shoulders simply making you feel cornered.
you scoffed, looking at him incredulously. the absolute gall of this man. "rude? me?" you crossed your arms across your chest in defiance, "what the hell were you spouting back there? seriously gojo all these years and you didn't change—"
"satoru." he interrupted, his voice low and almost velvety, and though he wore a casual smile you couldn't help but feel a bit of irritation in it. "not gojo. satoru. we aren't strangers, sweetheart."
your eyes narrowed almost accusingly, hands twitching as if to smack him. "we aren't anything either."
"not even friends?"
"no."
"now thats a lie. friends know everything about each other." he said, almost dramatically before he bent down a bit as if to intimidate you by his stature, like that ever worked. and yet the closeness seemed to get to her, her eyes that were ablaze in irritation wavered just a fraction and nothing escapes the six eyes.
"and i know everything about you." he murmured and it was if the words died in your throat. the sheer weight of his words, the hidden longing in his voice that maybe you're imagining, the memories it brought back that you'd rather just bury.
no you don't. its been a decade satoru, you know nothing of me. so much to say and yet—
"fuck you." a pitiful attempt of a comeback, and you hated yourself for it. you hated how you were right now, emotions going haywire while your mind blanked at just his voice and you have yet to see those damn eyes. you had prided herself in how calm you'd become, how you had held herself together no matter what, how you didn't let anyone waver your emotions much less mess with your heart— and yet, here you are. acting out, losing your shit and why?
him. its always him.
his lips tug upwards, pride and satisfaction. like he knows your inner turmoil and it simply twisted that feeling of dread and regret even more. you thought he might poke fun at you again, tease but he leaned back and for once you were grateful because you can finally breathe. you looked away as you fixed your glasses, discreetly taking a deep breathe.
"the glasses just make you look hotter. suits you." he remarked amusingly, voice dripping with sin and honey. you looked back at him, you could almost feel his eyes roaming over your face. its hard to analyse him because of that stupid blindfold.
"that blindfold makes you look stupid." you bite back, frowning a bit as your eyes narrowed before huffing out a breathe. "but i guess its a blessing in disguise." now you're just being a hater, again you fail to care about that. you just wanna leave, away from him. somewhere, anywhere, before you act more like an idiot.
he didn't mind that jab one bit, instead, feigned a dramatic gasp, hand on the chest all that. "you loved my eyes."
"tastes change. people change."
"and you think you have?" he scoffed out and again, you were at a loss for words. you wanted to argue back, shoot a fitting reply, you know you can. but the conviction in his voice when he asked that, like he knows you better than you do yourself.
no he doesn't.
"yes. yes I have." you replied quietly, yet firmly staring at him right in the eyes. his smile didn't falter didn't one bit, or so you think.
"now if you'll stop bothering me." you gave him a pointed look before walking away and this time, to your relief, he didn't follow.
and unknown to you, his eyes stayed stuck to you until you disappeared and yet his senses clung to you. little did you know how fast his heart dropped when he had seen you standing there looking over at the students, looking just the same yet so much more beautiful that it hurts. little did your eyes observe how his smile softened when you weren't looking, not like you could see anyway, how his eyes behind the blindfold held none of that mirth, only longing. how much his hands twitched to just have a touch, a simple swipe of your cheeks. its embarrassing how silly he's acting, nobody would believe that he, of all, could act so lovesick. he was still in denial about the extent of his longing, the extent of yearning but he knew one thing.
now that you're here he can't lose you again.
its a weird feeling, this need— this want that he feels in his damn bones whenever he merely even thinks about you. he was okay all these years, a bit guilty but he has a lot of shit to be guilty for. it all blurred as the years passed. but one look at you and he fell down the rabbit hole again. he'll grovel, he'll do whatever.
he just needs you back.

I Need You | Part 4
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8
Author’s Note: I can't thank you guys enough for reading my writing. I'm looking forward to your thoughts on this part <3
Summary: You were saved but you still have so many questions. Trying to sort everything out might be harder than it seems.
Pairing: Azriel x Reader
Warnings: Talks of torture, self hatred, angst, let me know if I need to add any others :)
"I've healed her as much as I can. Now she needs rest." you heard Madja speak
Darkness.
"I failed her, Rhys" you heard Cassian cry softly
Darkness.
"Thank you for saving her" you heard Feyre gently speak
Darkness.
"I forgot about her, then let Elain convince me to stay for longer. Let her convince me that y/n would be ok waiting a little bit longer for me." Azriel yelled
Well, that explains why he didn't show up.
"She's awake" Rhys stated
Both of the Illyrian males hurried over to you.
"Hey sunshine, how are you feeling" Your High Lord and good friend smiled softly down at you
"I'm fine" you whispered, voice hoarse from all the screaming you had been doing
Rhys hesitated, clearly knowing you were not fine. He didn't want to push you but he couldn't leave you alone after everything that just happened.
"Cassian told me most of what happened but there are certain parts he can't fill in. I don't want you to have to relive it but it might help us figure out why you were their target" he spoke so softly, as if speaking too loud would break you
Once he asked to see, it all hit you. The questions about Nyx, so many questions about him, you started to panic. Tears filled your eyes. He needed to know, he needed to understand that you didn't tell your torturers anything. You started hyperventilating, panicking, you had to let him know you were strong enough to withstand the pain.
"Rhys I promise I never broke. I never told them anything. No matter how much they hurt me, I swear. They asked so many times but I never broke, I swear I promise I was strong-" your sobs cut you off and Rhys bent down and pulled you into a tight hug.
"Shh I know. You did so well, please don't worry about any of that" he spoke into your neck, his own tears now pouring down his face.
You couldn't control yourself. Still terrified of saying, doing the wrong thing. You were shaking and crying hysterically. You knew they needed to see what you were tortured over so you sent the thought out hoping Rhys would understand what you were doing. He knew immediately, standing up and giving you a small nod.
You showed him everything, still shaking and crying. Azriel reached out for you and you let him. You needed anything, anyone to anchor you. He wrapped his arms around you and you cried in his chest.
Azriel looked at Rhys and saw the pained look on his face as the scene was happening in his head. Once he saw it all, he ran out of the room muttering something about a sleep tonic. The shadowsinger held you even tighter as if he could put all the pieces of you back together.
"I'm so sorry, you needed me and I wasn't there. I'm so sorry, so so sorry...." He kept repeating. You wanted to tell him it wasn't his fault, to help take away the guilt he was feeling but all you could think about was Cass repeating that same thing in the dungeon.
Just like that, the terror built up inside you. Your mind tricking you into thinking you were back in the chains being tortured. You started kicking and screaming, Azriel holding you down so you wouldn't hurt yourself.
"Rhys, you got that sleep tonic? Anytime now!" He shouted hoping his friend was coming
Moments later, Rhys winnowed in the room with Madja. Once she assessed the situation, she looked grim.
"Sleep tonics will not work, this is too severe. Move, boy." Madja spoke, pushing the spymaster away and setting her hands on you.
You started to settle and slowly fell asleep.
"This won't last long. I can only fix the physical pain or symptoms. Her mind tricked her body into thinking she was being tortured again. I eased that pain but it will take a lot more to ease the pain inside her," the healer looked at them with sorrow, "I'm sorry but this is as much as I can do for her."
Azriel immediately sat in the chair next to your bed, holding your hand with both of his. Rhys patted him on the back and left to try and figure more out.
You slept for 2 straight days, with Az never leaving your side. He couldn't believe he let this happen. You were his best friend, and more than that he had always been in love with you. After everything with Mor, he couldn't risk getting hurt again or losing you so he pushed his feelings away. It was the most painful thing he had done and once Elain came along he thought it would be easier to keep himself wrapped up in her.
He deeply regretted that now. You would hate him now. He forgot about you, left you there alone. He wouldn't be surprised if you never spoke to him again.
Lucien slowly entered the room, "How is she?" he asked Azriel
"Not great but she'll get there... thank you," his voice broke, "I haven't gotten a chance to tell you yet, thank you for saving her"
Lucien nodded at the male, a solemn look upon his face, "She didn't deserve any of this. I knew you and Elain had been spending time together and it pissed me off. She's my mate, but I knew she wanted you and not me, so I suffered in silence because I thought I deserved it..." he paused, "Y/n has always been kind to me. Accepted me the moment she saw me with Feyre. Offered her company when she knew Elain was away with you so I wouldn't have to be alone. She did not deserve any of this. She did not deserve to be pushed aside and forgotten."
Azriel stared at him, stunned. He opened his mouth to speak, closed it not knowing what to say, opened it again, "...I-"
"Do not hurt her again." Lucien stated, cutting him off and walked out of the room with one last look at you.
His shadows swirled around him, covering his neck to comfort him. They had been all over you for the most part. Wrapped around your arms and legs or nuzzled in your hair. After a while they whispered to him, she's waking up.
Your eyes slowly opened and the male at your side quickly stood to grab you some water. He helped you sit up in the bed against the wall and you both sat in silence for a while. You could tell he hadn't been sleeping, the bags under his eyes were the worst they had ever been.
"Sunshine" Az said, and it made you flinch.
You felt like your soul was the darkest its ever been. You weren't sunshine, you were storms and pain. You felt disgusted with yourself, hated yourself for being caught so easily. For allowing Cassian to be taken and have to witness everything. You hated yourself for causing everyone so much trouble and pain. You wished you died in that dungeon.
Cassian, Rhys, and Feyre all walked in. Feyre had a kind, hesitant smile, Rhys looked relieved that you were awake and not freaking out, and Cassian wouldn't even look at you. You assumed he was probably upset with you for dragging him into this and getting him tortured.
"Do you know why they picked me?" you asked quickly, so you wouldn't have to keep seeing their sad looks
"We're still not entirely sure. We know they were trying to find out things about Nyx but they could have taken any one of us for that." Feyre stated
"Maybe they thought I was the weakest and easiest to get answers out of?" you guessed.
"No, it felt very personal towards you y/n. It was like he hated you, don't get me wrong, he enjoyed beating me up but he was ecstatic to hurt you" Cassian spoke, still avoiding eye contact
"How did Lucien even find us?" you asked
"All he said was that Eris sent him a location and told him he needed to get there right away but that no one could see him there. Once he got there, he heard your screams and ran to save you. We've been trying to contact Eris but he hasn't responded." Rhys spoke
"I'm going to find whoever did this, and I'm going to slowly tear them to shreds" Azriel growled softly, still holding your hand.
"I don't understand what I did wrong-" you voice wavered and there it was. The look everyone was giving you made you feel sick. They knew you were broken now, you couldn't hide it anymore. You coughed to try and cover up the weakness in your voice.
"But we'll figure it out and I'll be ok. We'll all be ok. Now, I'm starving so I would love to join you guys for a meal tonight." You tried to smile at them. You needed them to think you were fine, that you were strong. They didn't need a weak link in their group. The last thing you wanted to do was eat but you figured that might convince them you were all good.
The four of them stared at you as if you grew a third eye on your head.
"Maybe you should take it easy, I can bring some food to you" Azriel suggested.
"Yeah that would be easier" the rest of them agreed.
"C'mon guys seriously, I'm fine. Give me a couple minutes to get dressed and I'll head down. I can try to help figure out what this is all about before we eat." you said weakly
"No. You are staying up here and resting. If you are hungry, one of us will get you food." Rhys commanded in a tone that left no room for negotiation.
"Is that an order from my High Lord or an order from my boss" you asked harshly
"It's an order from your friend." he softly stated, "let us know if you need anything"
The three of them left but Az stayed at your side. You didn't want to be alone but you also didn't want anyone to see you fall apart, which was about to happen any minute.
"Az, can you give me some time alone? I just need to think" you felt bad but you needed to be strong
Azriel gave you a sad smile, nodded, and headed for the door. The second it clicked shut, your facade fell apart. You began softly crying, you laid there all night like that until you finally cried yourself to sleep.
You didn't see the lone shadow in the corner of your room watching over you, and you didn't know Azriel slept outside your room on the floor all night long just in case you needed him.

✫ Brushstrokes - You weren’t entirely sure what being Spencer’s muse meant, but it certainly wasn’t what he had in mind.
Loosen Up - Parties have never been much of Spencer's scene, luckily you've got no problem helping him calm down.
Conditioned Response - You knew training someone like a dog wasn't the most ethical, but Spencer just makes it too easy to pass up.

𖤓 part vii. | series m.list | prev | part viii.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
touya had been at camp for less than 24 hours and he could already feel himself cracking. you were insufferable, stubborn, and self righteous, but it doesn't take him long to remember that you always had been.
betweens silent sips of the beer bottle twirling between his fingers, he thinks back on the summer after his sixteenth birthday- which he concluded was the last good summer before things started getting bad.
this was the year that touya had forgotten to pack deodorant for one of japan's hottest summers within the last decade. knowing you, it didn't take much convincing for you to practically beg him to take your spare. you two spent the entire summer smelling like lilac and white tea.
touya distinctly remembered all the teasing from other campers that so obviously made its way under your skin. you've always been so easily irritable. he probably spent that entire summer warning you about getting a crinkled tan line right in between your eyebrows from all the scowling.
he almost audibly laughs to himself. compared to the look on your face when you two made eye contact earlier today, he half-way wished it was that scowl instead.
touya leans his head back and lets it hit the smooth wood of the cabin wall, bringing the opening of the bottle up to his lips. this wouldn't be the first night he'd be drinking with you on his mind.
"dude, get your fucking shoes off my bed." tomura tosses a pillow off of hawks' bed, hitting touya's shoulder.
he rolls his eyes and straightens his legs, letting his feet dangle off the side of the bed.
"loser." he mutters into the back of his hand as he swipes it across his lips.
"and if you throw up on my bed, i'm setting your cabin on fire." tomura downs the remainder of the contents in his red solo cup. "y/n in it and everything, you fuckers can die together."
touya rolls his eyes with a glint of a smirk on his lips.
“always such a romantic, shigs. you’re more than welcome to burn with us.”
"shut up, I can't stand emo on emo crime, or flirting or whatever the fuck you guys are doing." hawks slurs, swivelling back and forth on the desk chair with his cheek pressed against the palm of his hand. "y/n is just another one of touya's victims, leave them out of this."
tomura drops his head into his lap, slapping a hand over his mouth to suppress a fit of drunken giggles. hawks look over at him with a wide grin.
"that wasn't even funny, shigs." he giggles. "shut up or else touya's gonna beat your ass."
"me?" he exclaims. "you're the one who said some stupid shit, not me. i'm gonna tell y/n and have them beat your ass." he says in between laughter.
touya's eyes flicker between the two bickering and laughing back and forth in their drunken daze. if he was a bit less intoxicated, he'd have more to say to his idiot friends and their antics.
maybe that was a cue for him to leave.
touya sits for a bit longer. it would be wise of him to sober up before stepping out into the open woods and making the trek back to his cabin- especially if he had to come to face you this late. is this feeling excitement or dread?
he taps on his phone screen. 12:37 AM.
he wonders if you were done packing. it's been almost three hours since curfew. what would you be doing now? making a summer bingo card? read a book? going through his things? plotting his demise? you were always a mass of type-a unpredictability.
the cabin door suddenly swings open, bringing the bickering to a halt and inviting in the warm summer night breeze.
while the breeze rolls in, the air sucks out of touya's lungs.
"what?" you sheepishly say, suddenly self conscious over the amount of eyes on you.
touya noticed the familiar old jacket slung over your shoulder. there was really no need for one on a warm summer night like this, but of course you had to grab it.
just in case!
your voice rings in his head.
"am i interrupting something?" you cock an eyebrow, eyeing the line of empty beer bottles lining the wall. "weren't you losers just saying something about missing me? what're you guys so quiet about?"
"you're late." hawks exclaims, breaking the wall of silence. "shots. now. you need to catch up." he reaches down from under the desk and pulls out a half empty handle of vodka.
"nah, put that shit away." tomura slides himself off of hawks' bed and stumbles onto his own beside touya "i wanna go to sleep."
"pull it together, crustbucket." you huff, taking his spot on hawks' bed across from the others. "you can handle a couple more shots."
you silently said your prayers. you and touya haven't seen each other since the bonfire, and he hadn't bothered stopping by the cabin before heading off to hawks and tomura's. you weren't sure if you were unintentionally-intentionally avoiding each other, or if things really are different now.
get a grip.
you silently curse to yourself, accepting the handle of vodka that you were sure had been passed around many of the other counselors that had stopped by earlier.
you squint your eyes shut in anticipation before tipping the bottle back, taking in a deep swig of the lukewarm alcohol.
you hold your breath through the burning sensation crawling down your throat. a beat passes. then two.
your eyes slowly open and catch touya's. he doesn't notice his lips curling into a smirk or his head nodding in approval as you pass the handle over to him.
you were grateful that in this weather, with this alcohol settling in your stomach, the heat prickling your cheeks and ears could pass off as nothing.
"where'd you learn how to do that?" he casually brings the spout up to his lips, the smirk never disappearing.
"you don't think i know how to drink?" you cock an eyebrow at him.
"can't i be impressed?" he playfully rolls his eyes. "you used to be such a wimp when it came to this stuff."
you don't reply, but instead press your lips together and avert your gaze down to your shoes.
if they were kids again, touya would take this as a success. you don't let him win often- or at all, really, but there's something bitter laced with your silence.
things feel different.

A Little Crush
Tumblr media
Eddie Munson x Henderson!Reader
Part 1
Summary: In which Eddie develops a crush on the Henderson sister.
You weren't sure exactly when your life had gone to absolute shit. Was it when you found a strange, superpowered adolescent girl living in Mike Wheeler's basement? Was it when you walked in on a baby demogorgan eating your cat? Or was it when you were drugged by evil Russians operating under Starcourt Mall? You couldn't even remember a time when life was normal. If someone had told you that you would become best friends with Steve 'The Hair' Harrington and fight literal monsters from an alternate universe alongside Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan 'The Creep' Byers a few years ago, you would've laughed in their face. Now? You'd survived the most traumatising events of your life alongside these people. You were bonded for life.
The last few years had also made you closer with Dustin. You loved your baby brother and his weird friends, especially since you'd spent so much time babysitting them. But no amount of love could make you say yes to what they were asking of you.
"Please?" Dustin begged, following you down the hallway as you made your way to Ms. O'Connell's class.
"No! I have, like, three essays due this week, Dustin. I don't have the time to sub." You respond.
"It's only for tonight! Lucas can't make it and we really need a sub. We're nearly done with the campaign and Eddie will kill us if we make him reschedule!" Dustin pleads.
You were really happy that Dustin and Mike had found a safe space in high school. Lord knows those two idiots needed it. Freshmen year is probably the toughest of them all. You're new, scared, and lonely. You were really glad that they'd found friends, a place where they could be their nerdy selves and feel accepted. Hell, even you'd dabbled in their interests when you'd babysat them. DnD wasn't half bad, and not nearly as hard to undertand as you once thought. You'd spent many nights in Mike's basement playing with them. The first few times, you'd get your character killed in the first fifteen minutes. But after a while, you started making progress (even though you're convinced that the party was exceptionally lenient with you after you once burst into tears over getting killed off).
"I'll do your half of the chores for a week!" Dustin exclaims.
That makes you stop.
"A week?" You turn around to look at him, "Make it two weeks and I'll sub."
"Two? Are you insane!?" Dustin yells, making a few people lingering in the hallway turn and look at you both.
"Two or no deal, Dusty Buns," You tease, "And be quick, I'm late for my class."
"Fine!" Dustin says, "And stop calling me 'Dusty Buns'"
"Why? Is that nickname just for Suzy Poo?" You tease.
Dustin glowers at you as you walk off.
♡♡♡
"So, who's the DM?" You ask as you walk alongside Dustin and Mike.
"It's Eddie, Eddie Munson. He's a senior. Long hair, wears a hellfire T-Shirt, I talk about him constantly. God, do you ever listen to me?" Dustin claims exasperatedly.
"Oh! Eddie as in your new favorite older male best friend who Steve's weirdly jealous of?" You ask, "I've seen him around. Is he the one who jumps on lunch tables and yells a lot?"
"Yup." Mike responded, "He's a bit scary when he's revved up. Just warning you beforehand in case he comes off...a bit intimidating."
You nod.
"Hasn't he been held back, like, three times?" You ask.
Before either of the boys could answer, you reach the room. The first thing you see is the table where the game is set. There are three boys sat around, all with Hellfire T-Shirts on. Your eyes fleet from one to the other until finally landing on Eddie. You recognise him immediately from the amount of times you've seen him yelling in the cafeteria.
Dustin and Mike failed to mention how cute he was, you think.
His hair was long and wavy. He was wearing multiple rings. And he was covered in tattoos. You're pretty sure you saw a few bats peeking from under his sleeve.
"Who's this?" One of the guys asks, making all three turn around and look at you.
"This is Y/N! She's subbing for Lucas!" Mike says, the words spilling out fast and nervously.
Why the hell are they so jittery?
"Yeah, she's my sister! The one I mentioned a couple days ago." Dustin adds.
"Does she even know how to play DnD?" The other boy asks.
"Okay, excuse me, I wouldn't have come if I didn't know how to play," You finally speak, waving your hand a little to get their attention.
"So, this is your infamous sister?" Eddie finally speaks, his eyes landing on you, "You know, I thought he made you up. What's your class and level? Level One Elf?"
Elf? Is he mocking me?
"Are you mocking me?" You ask incredously.
"Is he mocking me?" you turn towards Dustin and Mike who immediately start gesticulating, probably asking you to shut up.
"My name is Aeren Sirenfall and I'm a level 14 chaotic good half-elf rogue. I will sneak behind any monster you throw my way and stab them in the back with my poison-soaked kukri. And I'll smile as I watch them die a slow...agonising...death." You say, your voice slow and hard as you glare at Eddie, "So, are we gonna play this stupid game or not?"
You're pretty sure you hear one of the boys mutter a 'she's terrifying' to Dustin.
You watch as Eddie's eyes slowly soften and a grin emerges on his face, "Welcome to Hellfire Club."

I LOVE YOUR VIRGINITY AU 😭😭😭😭 its actually so GOOD i cant wait to see what schlatt has to say when he talks to us (please tell me ur making a part 6😭🙏🙏🙏)
this series is so much fun i have so many ideas and apparently y'all do too so keep em comin i love you all
CW: a lil dubcon-y, choking, v rough
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ted makes it out and down the street just in time to see schlatt yank open the door to the main building and let it slam behind him
he winces at the thought of what you're in for now that he's gone, remembering the hickey on your neck only when he crosses the street
schlatt, in the meantime, is barging into your apartment, mumbling a half-hearted apology to your roommate as they nervously grab their stuff and leave you two alone
he heads straight down the hallway to your room and just hovers in the entryway, tossing his bags down by the door like ted did
"charlie?" he starts
"i can explain-"
you try to reason with him but he just strides over to the bed in two large steps and climbs so he's leaning over you, staring down at you with a dark, vacant expression
"of course you're going to explain. you're gonna tell me all about it while i..." his voice trails off as he notices the bruise on the side of your throat
"what the fuck is this?"
he sounds different, like it caught him off guard
"that's not... that's not charlie. his hickeys are older. that looks like it just fucking happened. are you kidding me?"
"schlatt, i told you we aren't exclusive."
"i'm not mad you fucked someone else!!" he exclaims, almost in disbelief
"i'm mad you fucked one of my best friends."
you make a face and he narrows his eyes for a second
"...who gave you that, on your neck?"
unable to meet his gaze, you turn away and try to find the right words
"why are you acting so strange? do i know him?"
"schlatt..."
"what?"
he sets his jaw and gently takes one of your wrists in each of his hands, bringing them to either side of your head and pinning you down
"s-schlatt, listen, i don't want it to cause problems between you two," you stammer
his grip tightens as he realizes the only other person it could be
scanning your face to see if your remorse is genuine, he swallows hard and grins a hollow, hopeless smile
"you fucked ted, didn't you?"
his words paralyze you; the only movement in the room is the rapid rising and falling of your chest
"i'm so sorry," you begin once you can finally talk again
a deep sigh escapes him, and he shakes his head slightly as he looks away
"you fucking whore."
helpless to stop the strangled moan that falls from your lips, you shift uncomfortably on the bed
schlatt moves from his position on your side, leering down at you, to one on top of you, holding you down even more forcefully now
"i should've known. i shouldn't've told them how good you were if i wanted to keep you all to myself. fuck," he mutters, more to himself than anything
"i'm not some toy for you to-"
"shut the fuck up!! right now, you absolutely are a toy. can't believe you're that much of a fucking slut."
"schlatt!!"
"i said shut up!" he snarls
"was he better than me? i know charlie wasn't; there's no shot he fucks good."
he switches to holding both of your wrists in one hand above your head and grips your face with the other, squishing your cheeks and eliciting a small moan from you
"i'm only gonna ask you one more time. was he better than me?"
his voice is cold, and it send chills down your spine
"he was- it was different!! it was just different, schlatt, please, you know i don't like to compare," you babble in an attempt to satiate him
but it's not enough
he lets out a low chuckle and, in a flash, his hand is wrapped around your throat, squeezing tighter and tighter every second
"you're dumber than i thought," he muses, tilting his head as he enjoys the way your eyes roll back into your head, fluttering open and closed rapidly
a frantic, garbled grunt from you convinces him to release you, and he shakes out his hand after he does
he pulls off the clothes you barely managed to put on in time after ted left and wastes no time shoving two fingers into you
when you let out a wail and arch your back, he just shoves you back down by your hips and begins pumping them in and out at a merciless pace (this is for his pleasure, not yours, remember?)
"fuck!!! please, schlatt, stop," you beg
but he doesn't listen
just flicks his eyes up to your face and then shoves his head between your thighs
he's cruel with his tongue, swirling and circling and flicking at your clit endlessly
no amount of screaming his name changes his behavior, he just keeps eating you
occasionally he pulls away to look at the mess he's made of your cunt, sloppy and covered in both your juices and his saliva
he always returns to his feasting after delivering a harsh smack to your pussy
it goes on for almost an hour; your bedsheets are completely ruined by the time he pulls away, chest heaving, and wipes his mouth
you can't even speak, your throat is sore from pleading with him to stop. you gave up after the third orgasm
schlatt doesn't even say anything, just pulls his shirt over his head (giving you flashbacks to ted) and tears his pants and boxers off
you watch wearily as he hikes your legs over his shoulders and shoves himself into you
it would've hurt if you weren't absolutely soaked
immediately, he establishes a brutal pace, and you swear you can feel him brushing your cervix with every thrust
it's slightly painful, but you swear nothing has ever felt so good
he's got you bent nearly in half, watching your expressions as you sob silently from the bliss he's giving you
"bet he didn't feel this good."
he smirks almost imperceptibly when you shake your head vigorously, finally admitting what he wanted to hear
"yeah? bet he couldn't fuck you like i do. bet he wasn't able to reach this- fuck- deep inside you, huh?"
a raspy squeal escapes you, voice breaking from desperation
"got you so fucked out you can't even talk. just layin' there cryin'. do you know how pathetic you are? made your way around the whole friend group. are you fuckin' happy with yourself? you satisfied yet?"
he punctuates each question with a slam deeper into you than the last, gritting his teeth and hanging his head once he finishes speaking
"i'm gonna fucking cum in you. and you're gonna take it. do you understand?" he growls
nodding frantically, your walls clench around him, and he groans and somehow quickens his pace, jackhammering into you so hard and fast that you can't help but scream his name over and over, despite how badly your throat hurts
he's very vocal towards the end, moaning and grunting desperately as he pumps his hips forward a few final times before completely sinking into you as he releases
after a bit, he pulls out and lets your legs drop, noticing how shaky they are and patting one knee softly
"c'mon. i'll help you to the bathroom. but after that we need to actually have a conversation; i'm sorry i lost it like that."
dazed, you nod, and he helps you take a shower
as the hot water streams down the both of you, schlatt holding you up while he washes you off, he presses a kiss to the top of your head
"i don't... i don't want you to think i didn't enjoy sleeping with charlie and ted," you mumble dreamily
he falters for a second but continues cleaning you off
"i like you a lot, schlatt, but i'm into the two of them as well. i want you to be okay with that."
he lets out a deep exhale as he turns off the water, then steps out of the shower and helps you dry off
"i'd have to talk to them. we'll see, i dunno. can we just... spend the rest of the day together and talk about this tomorrow?"
a soft smile appears on your face and you nod, pulling him down to kiss you
"c'mon, help me get to bed. i can barely stand up."

"Y/n, you can't keep acting like a child you're twenty-one," Dick whisper shouted in the corner of the batcave.
"Dick, I'm not going to apologize for helping people-"
"You disobeyed a direct order. You could have been hurt, you can't be that kind of influence to Tim and Damian."
"You don't even live here, Dick, you can't just-"
"You're benched until further notice."
"You can't-"
"Benched," Bruce confirmed stepping over to them.
"Hey, Dick, do you have a sec," she asked into the phone then immediately bit firmly into her hand to hold back a sob.
"You're still benched," he said without remorse.
"That's not-you know what never mind." She hung up on him and threw the phone onto her bed heading to her en-suite bathroom to release the itch.
(present)
"Beloved! Beloved, look I-," Damian shouted with glee but cut himself off with a scream when he opened her unlocked bathroom door. He thought she was doing her face masks not...in the bathtub with blood dripping from her arms into pink bubble filled water.
"Damian wait," she called after his retreating form. Shit, shit. She hurried to drain the water and throw on her over sized t-shirt just managing to pull some boxers on when Damian burst back in with Tim, practically dragging him into the space.
"Damian what's the problem-"
"Fix her," he shouted with haste and was about to shove Tim into the room when he noticed y/n standing there looking fine.
"Damian, I'm ok, I promise," she tried to convince him softly. He looked from her to the tub, not even a drop of evidence in sight.
"No, you-I saw the blood. Tim she cut herself I saw it," he told the older boy trying to lunge for her arm but she side stepped him.
"Damian, give us a minute," Tim tried to gently shoo him away. Damian shook his head aggressively and latched himself onto her side, clinging to her like a koala. She combed her fingers through his hair and gently detangled him.
"Dami, Tim and I just need to have a quick chat, he's gonna fix me right up, aren't you, Tim," she asked, sending him a look that clearly gave direction.
"Yeah, kid, I'll take care of her, she'll be right as rain."
"You won't hurt yourself again?" He was giving her puppy eyes, looking his own age for once and it pulled on her heart strings.
"I won't," she agreed patting him on the head and crossing her fingers behind her back with the other hand. Damian gave her one last hug then hurried out of the room. There was an awkward silence as Tim stood blocking the doorway, his jaw ticking and toe nearly tapping.
"You know I have to tell."
"Please don't." She shook her head then grabbed the first aid kit beneath the sink.
"Let me," he said softly, taking it from her and getting out the supplies. When she set her arm on the counter for him to work he sucked in a breath. "Those are deep," he accused.
"I wasn't trying anything. I'm not stupid, just a heavy bleeder." She rolled her eyes where he couldn't see and hissed when he dumped alcohol on her arm.
"They almost need stitches."
"Butterfly stickers are fine," she said digging them out of the kit one handed.
"I at least have to tell Dick-"
"NO," she said so firm he actually stepped back to look at her.
"I have to tell someone, I can't watch you 24/7."
"I don't need babysat," she seethed.
"I can tell Bruce or I can tell Dick first. Either way you aren't doing this alone."
"I cant stop you?"
"Not a chance."
"Dick told me I needed to be a better influence for you. Sorry for fucking that up, but to be fair there's worse things about me. I tried to call him a week ago, I was feeling the um...the 'itch' so to speak but as soon as he picked up he told me I was still benched. I was so pissed that he immediately thought that's what I called for I told him never mind and hung up. You can't tell him that, after Jason you know he-"
"Hates missing phone calls," Tim finished for her. **^
Tim had every intention of telling him, he knew it would hurt but come on, she tried to get help. Of course she didn't ask anyone in the house, but he wasn't about to be offended she didn't ask the child or his newly adult self for help, and he sure as hell got the not wanting to tell Bruce.
"Why not Alfred?"
"Hmm?"
"Why didn't you go to Alfred for help."
"He deals with enough shit from the rest of you, coming in half dead each night."
"That doesn't mean you come second, and sure as hell not last, we love you."
"Yeah, well it doesn't feel like it most of the time." He was finished with her arm and she resisted the urge to yank it away from him. One of Jason's flannel was on a towel hook on the wall and she quickly put it on to hide the bandages.
"I'm gonna go make sure Dami's ok," she said gently moving him out of the way. The second she was gone he hurried back to his room for his phone, that he'd left on the charger and yanked the cord out. He hit speed dial 3, Dick's cell, and held the phone to his ear while he headed out on his balcony to totally not scale down the wall instead of taking the stairs. Dick picked up on the 4th ring with a tired sigh and a 'this better be good' Tim told him to wait a sec while he got way out of hearing range.
"Did Y/n call you last week?"
"Uh, yeah, why?"
"Did you jump her case and not give her a second to speak?"
"You sound a bit pissed timbers, cut to it and tell me what I did. I haven't slept in 37 and a half hours."
"And you call me an idiot," he snorted.
"Tick tock bro," Dick mumbled head already sinking into his pillow.
"She'd been cutting herself and she called you to ask for help, well, she didn't say that word, but she was calling to tell you what she'd been doing to herself," Tim stated with little to no remorse for the heart attack he'd just given his brother.
"She what," Dick shouted throwing off the blankets and grabbing his go bag.
"I assume you'll catch the next train?" The sound of Dick falling and cursing while he hopped into pants could be heard and Tim nodded and hung up. Thankfully because the author said so Dick had switched from his police job to a remote roll in Wayne industries he just stayed in Bludhaven to have his independence and not deal with Bruce more than he had to. Alfred insisted he come for monthly dinners and he did.
Tim went back inside to hunt for Y/n and Damian and found them having mugs of hot chocolate together on the kitchen counter.
"So, you're ok," Damian asked in a small voice using a stir stick to hold his marshmallows under the liquid.
"I told you, Tim fixed me, and he probably ran off to call Dick so he could come make double sure I'm ok. You don't need to worry, I promise I'll always be here to have hot cocoa with," she replied, crossing her heart and holding out her pinkie to him. He hooks his with hers and to her surprise continued to hold on, not moving to actually hold her hand but simply letting their hands rest on the counter pinkies linked. Not wanting to interrupt Tim quietly made his way back out, he still had some calls to make.
Jason picked didn't pick up on the first call, or the second but finally on the third he answered out of breath and with gunshots loud in the foreground.
"The hell dya' want," he all but shouted into the line dodging hits and getting in several of his own.
"Sorry, I'll call back later-"
"No, talk now, I got it under *way too loud thud* control."
"Just uh, get here as quick as you can, nobodies dying so-"
"Make it quick but don't freak, got it." And he hung up. Next was Bruce who surprise surprise didn't answer a call or text, so Tim left a message.
"Get off Selena and come help your kid," he said with more aggression than snark. (this doesn't feel at all like something Tim would say but i'm not familiar enough with his character to fix it)
This time when he went to the kitchen it was just Y/n on the counter Damian had gone who knows where.
"So who all did you tell?"
"Just Dick so far, he's on his way. Jason was in the middle of a fight so he's coming later but I didn't tell him and Bruce didn't pick up-"
"Shocker, dude nabs all these kids then can't be bothered to spend time with them outside of a Halloween costume," she scoffed rolling her eyes.
"You're not wrong but-"
"Oh, don't start Stan." She waved him off hopping down to wash the mugs not willing to leave them for Alfred.

His favorite patient
Pairing: Pedro Pascal x reader
Summary: Your friend Pedro takes care of you while you're sick, and he's such a good doctor, that something sparks between the two of you.
warnings: reader being sick and having a fever (?) and my shitty writing cause im tired
(this was a request, and a very beautiful one too)
Tumblr media
All you had done was text him that you were sick, and the next thing you knew, he was knocking at your door.
And that wasn't even the weirdest part, the weirdest part was that you weren't surprised, because that's how Pedro was, caring, protective, and always there for you, no matter what.
The first thing he'd done as you opened the door was scolding you for even being up, and consequently, the second was ushering you to your own couch and forcing you to sit down.
You laughed the whole time at how worried he was, but then again, your genuine gratitude shined through with his every act, a gentle smile and a "thank you" spilled out of your lips the moment he made you tea, or wrapped you up in a blanket, or pulled you into his chest when the cover stopped being enough.
You remained like that, hiding in his arm while watching tv for the whole afternoon, but unfortunately, after he'd made you some soup (which you had tried convincing you could cook on your own) and ate it with you, it was time for him to go.
So with a heavy heart and a final hug, he was gone... only to return 2 minutes later.
"Missed me already?" you joked, opening the door again
"Always" he smiled, before getting more serious "I have a problem with my car" he explained "It's not turning on, and I-" he scratched the back of his neck, trailing off "I kind of have no way of getting home"
"oh" you breathed, understanding the situation "You can just stay here" You shrugged, the solution obvious in your eyes
"Are you sure? I don't wanna be a burden or anythin-"
"a burden?" you frowned, stunned "What are you talking about Pedro, you could never be a burden" you promised, inviting him in again "and plus... I feel safer with my own personal doctor here with me" you grinned playfully
"yeah?" he laughed "Well then how could I refuse to help my favorite patient?"
"Favorite?" you gasped, feigning flatter as your right hand went to your heart "You're gonna make me blush doctor"
He snorted at that, his eyes lingering on yours for a second too long.
"Well then, the doctor's ordering bed rest"
You scowled at him, rolling your eyes
"I'm already starting to regret my decision" you muttered, but in no time, you were laid beneath the covers, ready to go to sleep.
"Ok then you're all set, I'll go prep the couch" he said, starting for the door
"what?" you asked
"the couch, I need to-"
You stopped him before he could go on
"You're not sleeping on the couch Pedro" you stated, watching his brows frown "It's uncomfortable as hell" you explained "and there's enough room here for the both of us" Your eyes went to the empty spot beside you
"Oh- no, y/n I can't"
"yes, yes you can" you interrupted him again "And you will" you decided "I'm sick, so that means you have to do whatever I tell you"
"sweetheart..."he sighed, glaring at you
"please" you pouted, "It would make me feel better knowing you're close to me" you pleaded, your best puppy eyes on you.
And what could Pedro do but not agree when you were looking at him like that? He was only a man after all.
"alright" he grumbled, "but I hope you know that means you'll have to hear me snore the whooole night"
But as it turns out, you didn't.
Your fever started going up the moment you shut off the lights, you turned and tossed the whole night, while him... he stayed up with you, checking your fever, giving you medicine and placing wet cold cloths on your forehead, until finally... you started feeling better and began drifting off... if only, of course, those damned church bells hadn't rung.
But even then, Pedro was there, placing his hands on your ears to try and protect you from the noise, and once they stopped, once he had gotten a taste of how good it felt to stay so close to you, well then he didn't have it in him to lean away, so he did the opposite: he put his arm around you and pulled you close, gently whispering "You need to rest", before inevitably, you did as told.
And it was only the morning after that you remembered all of it, it was only once you woke up, his arm still reassuringly around you, his words still reverberating in your ear, that you realized everything.
"good morning" he murmured, his head nestled into your neck
"morning" you smiled, your voice hoarse as you turned around to look at him, finding him but an inch from your face... and yet he didn't lean away.
"thank you" you whispered "for everything"
"darling I'm always gonna be here for you, whatever you need"
You smiled wide, watching his eyes fall to your lips
"stop it" you murmured
"stop what?" he laughed
"being so nice"
"why?" he asked, smiling
You bit your lip, pondering if saying what you wanted to say really was a good idea... but then again, it was the truth, so...
"'cause you're making me want to kiss you"
"'s that right?" he smirked, inching closer
"mh-mh"
"and what's stopping you?"
"I don't want you to get sick" you said, watching him huff a laugh
"sweetheart" he shook his head, grinning brightly "I would catch a thousand colds if it meant I got to kiss you"
And although your heart skipped a beat, you couldn't help but laugh out a quick "that's disgusting", before his lips finally met with yours.

PREVIEW
a sneak peak at part one of THE ALCHEMY
pairing: will lenney x fem!reader
warnings & tags: friends to lovers. slowish burn. idiots with tension. also idiots in denial. lots of nerdy football talk + a side of willne.
summary: The two times you were recruited to play in the Sidemen charity match, and the one time you score.
a/n: hello!!! here’s a brief view of a two/three (?) part series i have in the works. it’s not perfect, but i’m much too excited to wait to publish the whole thing. please enjoy <3
…⚽️
The buzz that interrupted your sleep wasn’t what concerned you, it’s the fact that after you had hung up the first and second time, there was a third call. Begrudgingly, you toss your sheets aside and sit up eyeing the phone on the bedside table.
You gnaw at your bottom lip, and squeezed your eyes shut before speaking again.

One More Chance

Mattheo Riddle x fem reader
Summary: Y/n stumbles upon Mattheo while going to the library after they broke up but Mattheo wants One More Chance in their relationship
w/c: 832
The dimly lit corridors of Hogwarts were quiet, the echo of footsteps bouncing off the ancient stone walls as Y/N made her way towards the library. The evening was drawing in, the golden light from the setting sun filtering through the narrow windows and casting long shadows. She pulled her cloak tighter around her shoulders, more out of habit than need—after all, it was late autumn, and the chill had only just started to creep in.
As she turned the corner, she nearly bumped into someone. Y/N took a step back, her breath catching when she recognized who it was.
"Mattheo," she greeted, her voice coming out steadier than she felt. She hadn't expected to run into him, not here, not now. Her pulse quickened, memories she had tried so hard to bury threatening to resurface.
Mattheo Riddle stood there, hands shoved into the pockets of his robe, his dark eyes watching her intently. There was a glimmer of something—mischief, perhaps?—that danced behind his gaze, something that had always drawn her in. His tousled curls and easy smirk were as infuriatingly attractive as ever.
"Y/N," he replied, his voice smooth, carrying a hint of surprise that he didn't bother to mask. "Fancy running into you here."
She stiffened slightly, unwilling to let herself be swayed by the familiar charm in his tone. She had built walls around her heart since they had parted ways, and she wasn't about to let him chip away at them again.
"I was just heading to the library," she said coolly, sidestepping him. "Excuse me."
But Mattheo moved too, blocking her path. "In a hurry?"
Y/N sighed, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. "What do you want, Mattheo?"
He tilted his head, studying her as if trying to unravel a mystery. "I just wanted to talk."
"We have nothing to talk about," she retorted, keeping her tone brisk, despite the way her heart thudded in her chest.
"Is that so?" Mattheo mused, not moving an inch. "You don't still have feelings for me, do you?"
The question caught her off guard. Heat rose to her cheeks, but she forced herself to meet his gaze with a sharp glare. "Oh, why would I? We broke it off for a reason, didn't we?"
Mattheo's smirk faltered, replaced by a more serious expression. His eyes softened slightly, and for a moment, the bravado dropped. "We did. But it doesn't mean it was easy. Or that it didn't matter."
Y/N felt her resolve wavering, memories of late-night conversations, shared secrets, and stolen kisses flooding her mind. She had convinced herself that ending things was for the best, that they were too different, that he was too reckless and she too cautious. But the truth was that she had never really let go of him.
She shook her head, determined to keep her emotions in check. "It doesn't matter anymore, Mattheo. We made our choices."
He sighed, his posture relaxing as he leaned back against the wall. "Maybe. But I can't help but wonder…if we made the right ones."
Her heart clenched at his words, but she forced herself to stay firm. "You can't change the past."
"Maybe not," he conceded, "but the future? That's still up for grabs."
Y/N bit her lip, torn between the desire to walk away and the pull of what could be. The chemistry between them had always been undeniable, a spark that never quite fizzled out, even after they parted ways.
"Why are you saying this now?" she asked, her voice softer, almost vulnerable. "What's changed?"
Mattheo looked at her with a seriousness she hadn't seen before. "I realized that letting you go was a mistake. I've been thinking about it a lot, and I can't shake the feeling that we gave up too easily."
She stared at him, unsure of what to say. Part of her had hoped he would say something like this, while the other part was terrified of reopening old wounds. "Mattheo…"
He stepped closer, his voice low, earnest. "I'm not asking for everything to go back to the way it was. But I am asking for a second chance. To see if we can figure this out, together."
Y/N's heart pounded in her chest as she looked up into his eyes. She saw sincerity there, a glimmer of the boy she had fallen for mixed with the man he was becoming. The future was uncertain, but as she stood there, she realized that maybe, just maybe, it was worth taking the risk.
"Alright," she whispered, barely believing her own words. "One more chance."
A slow, genuine smile spread across Mattheo's face, one that made her heart skip a beat. "One more chance," he echoed, his voice filled with promise.
And as they stood there, in the quiet corridor of Hogwarts, it felt like the beginning of something new—something that had been left unfinished, but was now ready to be written.

I was re-reading Dad- I mean, GP- (love all your fics btw) and noticed a line about Max calling Christian Dad when he was high on painkillers after Silverstone. How did Christian react and do you think that Max even remembers it? Keep up the amazing writing!
okay, in my defense I think I mentioned somewhere that it wasn't soft or fluffy at all and I stand by that. here you go! (no, max doesn't remember it. christian will never tell him.)
Search History APOV, christian, set in the hospital room after Silverstone. 1.3k words <3
"Okay, out, out- clear the room, please."
Christian feels more like an usher than a team principal as he directs people out of the hospital room. Max deserves better than being treated like some kind of zoo animal.
Christian knows he's not supposed to get attached to his drivers, but-
He can't help it. They crawl into his heart, carving out their own little space.
Redbull's children. His children.
Seb, Daniel, Max.
Strong, proud, defiant Max. He looks tiny where he's unconscious in the hospital bed, and Christian's heart twists. He hasn't felt fear like that in long time, sitting on the pitwall, waiting for Max to come over the radio. It was the longest few seconds of his life, but what's haunting him-
Gianpiero, normally so collected and calm, a man Christian has never once seen agitated- his hand had gripped Christian's wrist so hard there are purpling bruises in the shape of his fingers. He's back with the team right now, but Christian knows he'll be on his way soon. If Max has carved a space into Christian's heart, he's taken up complete residence in GP's.
There's footsteps at the doorway, and Christian turns his head, meeting hard blue eyes with his own.
"Kind of you to finally show up, Jos."
Jos is frowning, the way he always is, but there's no fear in his eyes- he's not even looking at Max in the hospital bed. Christian has barely been able to take his eyes off of him.
"He should not have left without me."
Christian feels a muscle in his jaw twitch.
"He's a legal adult. We weren't exactly thinking about it when they airlifted him."
He can hear the strain in his voice, but he can't help it with Jos. It creeps out of him, makes it hard to think straight.
Jos sneers, finally looking at the bed. There's no sorrow on his face- just a complicated cocktail of emotions. He looks more disappointed than anything.
"He is fine, yes?"
Christian takes a deep breath, forces himself to stay civil.
"The medical team wants to take a deeper look at his brain, see if there's any damage hiding they might've missed. That kind of thing can get worse over time- we'd rather get ahead of it now."
Jos raises an eyebrow, and Christian continues.
"But otherwise, they just have him under observation at the moment. He's got a nasty concussion."
Jos hums, and the sound is so startlingly Max that Christian feels his gut churn.
"Skip the additional tests. They just want money. He has had concussions before, he knows how to handle them. I want him out sooner, not later."
Christian opens his mouth to protest, but Jos doesn't budge.
"I am his father, and his medical proxy."
Christian bites his tongue.
"I'll let the nurse know."
Jos looks back down at Max, and for a split second there's a flash of something across his face.
Christian isn't sure if it's guilt or rage.
"He will be fine."
It almost sounds like Jos is trying to convince himself. He turns back to Christian, and now he looks pissed off.
"I am going to handle media. The Dutch media, where they will not twist the situation. To behave that way, when a competitor is here- it is disrespectful. I will not stand for it."
A competitor. Jos disgusts him.
Max is supposed to be his son.
Jos leaves, and part of Christian feels a bit like he's just set a rabid dog loose on the press, frothing at the mouth. It's not out of a genuine care for Max though- it's about the way Lewis is behaving. Jos won't stand for it.
Normally Christian wouldn't either, but.
He's needed more here.
He settles in one of the armchairs with his laptop up. He has messages from GP, keeping him updated on the team meeting, and a personal message from John telling him the garage is chomping at the bit, furious and protective.
He's neck deep in emails when Max stirs a bit, eyes blinking open slowly. One pupil is larger than the other, and he seems like he's looking through Christian, rather than at him.
"Max?"
Max takes a shaky breath, and Christian is alarmed to see the way his eyes start watering.
"Papa-"
Oh shit.
Christian does not get paid enough for this. Really, he doesn't get paid enough for most of his Max related responsibilities, but especially not this.
He reaches an arm for Max's hand, intending to reassure him, but Max jerks away from him, eyes widening.
"No- no, I'm sorry, I did not-"
Max takes another breath as Christian backs up, bile in his throat.
"Max, hey it's okay-"
"I will- it will be better, next time, I won't- I won't slide, I'll make the turn, I'm sorry-"
Christian feels helpless at the way Max is pressed back into the bed away from him, eyes hazy with medication, blown from the concussion.
Redbull's children. His children.
He takes a breath and steps forward, pushes past the way his heart squeezes as Max tries to get away from him.
One of his hands lands gently on Max's shoulder, running up his back to settle in his hair. Christian leans down to wrap Max in a hug, gentle even as he's shaking in his arms.
"I'm- papa, I'm sorry."
Max says it desperate and panicked, like he knows the words won't do him any good.
Christian shushes him like he does his own children, even as his own heart twists. He's not supposed to get attached to his drivers.
Redbull's children. His children.
"It's okay, Max. You did a good job, and I'm glad you're okay."
Max chokes on a half sob.
"No, no I missed, I fucked it up-"
"Max, I don't care about that. I care that you're okay. That's what matters right now."
Christian lets Max cry it out, palm running up and down his spine as Max settles, finally nodding off against his shoulder.
Max is asleep, but-
Christian stays, holding him in his arms. Their golden boy. The garage is ready to go on a warpath, every single one of them. Max is fiercely loyal, but Christian is fairly confident he doesn't realize how devoted their loyalty is in return. He's theirs. To be crashed out, deep into the heart of Silverstone, to see the celebrations from Mercedes afterwards-
There's a vile, rabid taste in all of their mouths. They'll come back stronger, hit harder. They won't let him get away with it.
There's shuffling by the doorway, and Christian looks over as GP steps in. He looks haggard, still in his Redbull polo, jacket thrown hastily over his shoulders. He's pretty sure it's not even Gianpiero's jacket- normally he sees it across the back of Helmut's chair.
"How is he?"
GP settles on the other side of the bed, flipping through the paperwork from the table with one hand while the other rests over Max's.
Christian sighs.
"Concussed. They don't think there's any additional damage, but they wanted to do some extra testing to make sure. Jos said no."
"Cunt."
Christian raises an eyebrow. GP is normally much better about keeping his feelings internalized.
"Mhm."
"Sorry, Christian. I just-"
"I know."
Gianpiero helps Christian settle Max back against the bed.
"I'll stay with him if you need to leave."
Christian looks over at him, assessing.
"Do I need to leave?"
GP winces.
"I think the team needs some guidance. John is with them, but a more... direct reminder should probably be given. Maybe a reminder that sabotage and unsportsmanlike conduct won't do Max any good."
Christian snorts. He feels more like a babysitter than anything, but he understands where GP is coming from.
"I hear you. Message me if anything changes with him, okay? And- he was a little bit confused earlier."
GP nods, thumb brushing over the back of Max's hand.
"I will. Thank you for being here."
Christian gives him a thin smile.
Redbull's children. His children.
"All part of the job, isn't it?"
