When Gray wakes up one night with a voice in his head, the last thing he expects is to suddenly be sharing a body with a demon. Natsu is nothing like Gray expected, though. He's surprisingly charming, and more concerned about getting Gray to eat vegetables than he is with taking over the world. Since Gray can't push him away like he does with everyone else, he begrudgingly accepts Natsu's place in his life - for now. But when Natsu ends up needing Gray's help, what started out as an inconvenience turns into a road trip - and a friendship - that changes Gray's life.
Chapter Summary: Gray and Natsu start their road trip to find Natsu's body.

“I’m bored.”
Gray looked up at the rearview mirror to see Natsu’s reflection in the back seat of the car. He gave Gray a pathetic look as he leaned his head against the window.
“It’s only been an hour,” Gray said, rolling his eyes. “How are you going to manage for three days?”
Natsu groaned, tipping his head back against the seat dramatically. The late afternoon sun reflected off his scales, giving his dark skin a reddish glow.
“Weren’t you the one that said three days wasn’t a long time?” Gray looked back at the road, continuing to sneak peeks in the mirror when he could. Natsu swallowed, and the tattoos on his neck shifted with his skin. Gray traced the lines where they dipped under Natsu’s shirt, and he wondered absently where they ended.

“My stomach,” Natsu said. Gray frowned, then remembered that Natsu could read his mind. He ducked his head, trying to hide his burning cheeks. “And they’re not tattoos,” Natsu said, seemingly unperturbed by Gray’s embarrassment. “They’re markings.”
“What’s the difference?” Gray asked, trying to keep his voice steady.
“They’re magic,” Natsu explained. His image disappeared from the rearview mirror, reappearing in the passenger window as if he were sitting in the seat next to Gray. “It’s how I use my powers.”
“So... you got them in hell?”
“The hells.”
“Why?”
Natsu hesitated. “’cause, uh... I was bored.”
Gray raised an eyebrow. “You got magic tattoos—”
“Markings.”
“—markings because you were bored?”
Gray could feel Natsu’s indignance when he answered, “Yes.” He sighed. “The hells are seriously the worst. Everyone’s mean. All they wanna talk about is torturing people and vengeance and shit, and it’s boring.”
Gray was pretty sure that torture and vengeance didn’t usually fall under the umbrella of ‘boring conversation,’ but he didn’t argue.
“So... what kind of magic can you do?” he asked instead.
“Fire, mostly,” Natsu said. Something flickered in the reflection, and when Gray turned to look, he could see a small flame sitting in Natsu’s palm.
“Please don’t burn my car down.”
Natsu laughed, turning his hand palm-down and running the flame across his knuckles like a magician would with a coin. “Don’t worry,” he reassured Gray, “I can only use my magic up here when I’m inside you.” Gray made a choked sound, and Natsu’s eyes widened as he quickly added, “Shit, not like—not in you like that, I mean like using your body. To magic. Not for... other stuff.”
He quickly looked away, and Gray could swear there was an embarrassed flush on his cheeks. “Oh,” was all Gray could manage as he desperately tried to push the sudden mental image of Natsu inside him out of his head. The soft, warm presence of Natsu in the back of his mind sparked and sputtered like a candle near an open window.
“What do you do?” Natsu asked quickly. His voice was tight, and he turned away from Gray, staring out the window at the fields of canola.
“Do?” Gray rubbed his face, trying to compose himself.
“For work? School? Whatever.”
“Ah.” He exhaled, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel and focusing on the highway. “I don’t.” He felt the question in the back of his mind and sighed. “I was working,” he said reluctantly, “before I moved here. And I’m not anymore. Not right now, anyway.”
“How come?”
“I don’t want to—” Gray stopped himself, realizing that the question wasn’t irritating him like he expected it to. Natsu seemed genuinely concerned and curious – there was no pity or judgement coming from him.
“I’m on stress leave,” Gray explained. “I was working at an office before I moved here, and there was someone...” He hesitated, running his thumbs along the worn weather of the steering wheel. “Someone who made my life hell,” he said eventually.
Natsu’s reflection shifted in the window as he appeared to settle into the seat with his knees tucked up against his chest. “Is that who I saw?” he asked. “In your head?” He looked embarrassed.
Gray didn’t answer. Instead, he exhaled, and let the memories come to the surface of his mind, drifting there for Natsu to see. “It’s okay,” he said when he felt Natsu’s hesitation. “It’s easier than talking about it.”
There was a soft tug at the back of his mind, but instead of pushing back, Gray relaxed. He watched the trees and fields fly by through the window as Natsu drifted through his memories. The low thrum of anxiety in Gray’s chest was tempered by Natsu’s soft, comforting warmth.
“What a bitch,” Natsu said eventually. Gray snorted, glancing over at the passenger window. Natsu’s reflection looked pissed at first, then slowly relaxed into regret once he realized Gray was watching. “I’m sorry.”
“Me too,” Gray said quietly. He tapped his fingers against the steering wheel. “People didn’t listen to me – she didn’t listen to me. And it just felt like I was saying no over and over, and it didn’t matter.” He rubbed his forearm self-consciously. “She started showing up at my apartment or following me to the grocery store and eventually I kinda… lost it.”
“What the actual fuck?” Natsu’s expression shifted back to angry.
Gray felt himself start to smile at Natsu’s indignance. Nobody had ever listened to him or stood up for him like this before. Lyon had been sympathetic, of course, but had never been as angry as Natsu was. It felt…
“Validating?” Natsu suggested. Gray groaned as he realized Natsu had been listening to his internal monologue again.
“Yeah,” he admitted. “I haven’t really talked about it with anyone. Not since I moved.”
“We could scare the shit out of her,” Natsu suggested. “Like with Lyon – glowing eyes, fire, all that.”
Gray laughed and shook his head. “As hilarious as that would be, I never want to see her again.” A soft sense of understanding radiated from Natsu, warm and comforting. Gray let himself lean into the feeling, breathing deeply as he let some of his anger dissolve.
“Are we hungry?” Natsu asked, pulling Gray out of his feelings. “I think I am. Are you?” Natsu pointed straight ahead to a sign on the side of the road. It was faded and peeling, but the washed-out letters read Ice Cream – 99 Flavors!
“Sure,” Gray said, smiling at the excited expression on Natsu’s face. “I could go for ice cream.”
~
They spent the rest of the afternoon driving, and by the time the sun started to sink over the horizon, Gray was exhausted. He pulled into a parking lot with a neon sign flashing cheap rooms and free wifi! and yawned.
“What’s wifi?” Natsu, who had been quiet for the last couple hours of the trip, frowned at the sign.
“Internet.”
“What’s internet?”
Gray rolled his eyes as he got out of the car and stretched. The parking lot was nearly empty, and the only sounds were the low rumble of the highway and a sharp buzz from the fluorescent lights overhead.
“C’mon,” he said, grabbing his backpack from the back seat and heading toward the office. “I’ll show you.”
Their room was small and smelled like every motel Gray had ever been in. He tossed his bag on the ground and kicked off his shoes.
“It’s weird that you’re not like… here,” he said as he pulled out his phone and caught Natsu’s reflection in the screen. “Physically, I mean,” Gray added when Natsu raised an eyebrow.
“Move the mirror,” Natsu suggested, gesturing to the cracked plastic mirror that hung on the far wall. It came off its single nail easily, and Gray propped it up against the TV so it was across from the headboard. Then he flopped down on the bed and grumbled at the squeak of the springs. When he looked up at his reflection, Natsu was next to him, legs crossed in front of the pillows.
Even though Natsu wasn’t there physically, Gray could feel heat creeping into his cheeks at the idea of them both being in the same bed. Sure, he was technically alone, but the mirror showed a different story. Gray’s brain drifted back to their awkward conversation in the car, and to the blush he’d seen on Natsu’s cheeks.
“Internet?” Natsu said hopefully, pulling Gray out of his embarrassment.
“Oh,” Gray said, “Yeah, hang on a sec.” He grabbed his laptop from his backpack and opened it, connecting the wifi and opening the internet browser. “Okay, ask me a question.”
Natsu frowned. “Any question?”
“Yep. Well, not a personal question. Something you want to know about the world.”
“Hm. What’s the spiciest food ever?”
Gray quickly typed world’s spiciest food in the search bar. “Phaal curry.” He pointed to the picture. “It’s got, uh… ten of the world’s hottest peppers in it.”
Natsu’s face lit up. “Can we eat that?”
“Absolutely not.” Gray shuddered. “I hate spicy food. Plus, we’re probably not gonna find an Indian restaurant all the way out here.” Natsu pouted and Gray laughed.
“Wait,” Natsu said, frowning at the computer. “Your… machine knows that?”
“Laptop. And no, not the laptop. We’re connected to the internet.”
“And the internet knows about spicy food.”
“The internet knows pretty much everything. Try another question.”
“Uh… what’s the biggest volcano?”
“Ojos de Salado. On the border of Argentina and Chile.”
Natsu stared at the picture, eyes wide. “How does it know? How does it work?”
“That’s… a great question,” Gray said, shrugging. “I actually have no idea.”
“Ask it!”
Gray spent the next five minutes reading about the internet from a technical website, but Natsu quickly grew bored with the explanation.
“Sounds like magic,” he said, waving his hands in a vaguely mystical gesture. “Is that how you found my body?”
Gray nodded and pulled his phone out of his pocket. He opened the map and pointed to the marked location that said Belle River, British Columbia.
Natsu was silent for a minute. Gray looked at his reflection in the mirror. Natsu seemed lost in thought, eyebrows furrowed as he stared at the phone.
“What’s up?” Gray asked. “You okay?”
“Just thinking,” Natsu said. He pulled his knees up to his chest and Gray’s attention drifted as he tried to figure out exactly how the reflection worked. Was Natsu really there, in some other dimension? Was he tangible? Was there a way that he could touch Natsu? Or was his physical form just Gray’s imagination?
“No,” Natsu answered, and Gray blinked in surprise, then sighed as Natsu laughed at him. “Sorry. You think really loud. And no, you’re not imagining me. I am.”
“I… what?”
Natsu tipped his head to look at Gray and gestured to his face. “I was like… eight when I lost my body. So I looked a little different.” He closed his eyes and exhaled, and the reflection in the mirror started to shift. The pink in Natsu’s hair faded to a light brown and grew out until it was tied back in a short ponytail. His features softened, the dark marks on his arms receded, and his tight t-shirt and jeans were replaced by a too-large shirt and ripped pants. The now-young Natsu looked at Gray in the mirror and gave him a gap-toothed smile.
“You were so little,” Gray said softly. Natsu’s face looked thin and pale, and there were bright fever-spots on both his cheeks. Before Gray could say anything else, Natsu quickly shifted back to his older self.
“Yeah. So this is kinda… what I think I’d look like if I was around now.” He glanced back at Gray’s phone, then added, “I guess we’ll see when we get there.”
“That’ll be weird, hey?”
“Mm.” Natsu shrugged, but his expression was uncomfortable. “Thinking about it…” He trailed off, but his emotions intensified, leaving Gray with an unsettled sensation in the pit of his stomach.
“Do you wanna watch a movie?” he asked quickly, trying his best to push the feelings away. They were too close to what he’d felt when he’d first moved away from everything and had spent most of his time curled up in his room, staring blankly at the walls.
“A movie?”
“Yeah.” Gray grabbed the laptop again and opened Netflix. “Moving pictures?” He frowned at Natsu. “You’re weird. You don’t know what the internet is, but you didn’t seem weirded out by my cell phone, or cars, or… lattes.”
“I pay attention to the human world sometimes,” Natsu said, almost defensively. “I know what a phone is! They were around last time I was topside; they were just a lot different. Same with cars. And I know what moving pictures are – the last person I possessed went to one. It was on a big screen, though, not—” He gestured at Gray’s laptop “—this.”
“Well, movies stream through the internet now,” Gray explained as he flipped through his ‘to watch’ list. It was mostly documentaries, which he didn’t think Natsu would find too exciting. He finally settled on ‘Max Max: Fury Road.’
As the screen lit up with the opening credits, Gray leaned back against the pillows. Natsu followed suit, and in their reflection, it almost looked like they were cuddling. The space beside Gray was empty, though, and he tried his best not to think about the disappointing lack of warmth.
“Who’s that?” Natsu asked, pointing to the man on screen. “Is that real? Who’s he talking to?”
“Natsu,” Gray said, rolling his eyes and turning up the volume. “I’ll explain how movies work later. Right now, just shut up and watch.”

In your Barbie-verse, what was it like for Rip growing up, and when he was an adult, post-getting out of fairy prison? Also, what happened to his mom? In the movies, we don't see her, and iirc, she was never mentioned, so I just assumed she died at some point, or Break was just a single dad.- That PCS Anon
Rip backstory is my favorite and I sure have a lot of it lmao
Rip’s mother was Barbra “Barb” Bloom, and she died when he was 9 (his brother Chuck was 11). But up to that point, Rip actually had a pretty good childhood. Barb also has a power, she was pretty sure, but it was so nebulous she could neither prove nor quite define it--either the ability to always find what she was looking for, or simply being in the right place at the right time, one of the two. Break didn’t believe it, and she didn’t bring it up a lot, since again, she couldn’t really explain the feelings she got, she just knew that some moments were special.
When Rip first started seeing things, she thought he was just being an imaginative kid, but then she realized it could actually be magic when she noticed that like... Rip doesn’t really have that great of an imagination. He’s more analytical, he doesn’t really color outside the lines or tell lies or get in trouble. Idk how to explain it, but sometimes ppl just seem like the type to say anything, you know? And then there’s ppl you can’t imagine ever lying or doing anything crazy or anything like that.
Anyway, so they were in it together while she was alive, and he had her there to talk about what he was seeing. But then she died, and Rip took it very hard. Everyone did, but Rip lost the one person he could really talk about magic with. And on top of that, he didn’t even know if he believed in magic anymore, bc if Barb was in the right place at the right time, she wouldn’t have been hit by that car, would she? So he doesn’t know what to believe, bc if she was wrong about her magic, then was she wrong about his? How does he know that he’s not just crazy? And he can’t talk to Break about it, bc Break does not believe. Chuck doesn’t really, either, but he’s nicer about it.
So that all leads to sort of a downward spiral as Rip grows up, bc he doesn’t always trust his perceptions. And that leads to the desperation to just jump thru a flyway when he’s 17, he was really not in a good place at the time. I touched on it in my other post, but he was gone for a couple weeks, and Break legitimately thought he was dead. And then when he tried to explain about the flyways and getting lost, of course that just pissed off Break even more bc it’s just more of Rip’s bullshit, right? So Rip eventually just says he ran away and then came back when he ran out of money (which is kinda-sorta the truth, if you strip the magic out). So Break’s furious with him (and so is Chuck), he’s grounded forever... But that’s actually a good turning point for him, bc he met Lilliana. And after the flyways, and Lilliana giving him some (begrudging) answers, he knows he’s not crazy. His friendship with Lilliana only lasts a few months, but by the time she cuts him off he’s friends with Finn, who may not believe him but also doesn’t fight him at every turn when he brings up magic, he’s more like lmao ok buddy whatever you say, which is honestly better than what Rip gets at home. And Finn does come around awhile to like wait no shit, really? For real? Which Rip can’t really believe but he’s so grateful.
Anyway so that’s up to 1989. Fast forward a couple years to 1991. Finn and Anne have been together for awhile, but Finn’s kind of like... He doesn’t want to break up with Anne, he still loves her a lot, but since their relationship has to be a secret, and it can’t really be any other way, it’s starting to wear on him. And he’s started to develop some romantic feelings for Rip that he wants to pursue, in part bc it would be much easier, honestly. But when he brings this up to Anne, she really doesn’t want to break up with him, either, so she says that he should just date Rip, too. And Finn’s like and... you’d be fine with that? And Anne’s like I will learn to be, anyway. And Finn’s not really sure if this will work or if Rip will even go for it. Rip is hesitant but he’s open to basically whatever so he’s like we can try it for awhile, I guess. Anne really makes an effort to be chill but it is hard on her and Rip’s like maybe we shouldn’t do this and Anne’s like I think the problem is that we don’t really know each other. Like Rip and Anne aren’t really friends, they’ve obviously met before but never really hung out one on one so Rip really knows her as Finn’s girlfriend, and she knows him as Finn’s weird friend. So they decide to start trying to get to know each other and be friends.
Rip doesn’t talk about any magic stuff with Anne for a couple reasons, one of which is that he doesn’t want to come off any weirder than he does when he’s trying to befriend the woman, and also bc she’s a royal and Rip does not care for royals. Not bc of anything politically, he just doesn’t think they are careful enough with magic and he doesn’t trust them with it. (He doesn’t trust anyone with magic, actually. Not humans, not fairies, not anyone.) So he has to give her the edited version of events when she’s like have you dated anyone before? And Rip’s like it wasn’t really dating but I did have a brief relationship with Lilliana Roxelle and Anne’s like. You mean the French supermodel? And Rip’s like yeah and Anne’s like how did you even meet her and he’s like I crashed her NYE party. And Anne doesn’t know what to make of him, bc it’s such a wild, specific thing to say that it could be a lie but it just feels like it’s true, bc why not say something more believable if you were going to lie? Anyway Rip’s more chill about not being believed at this point bc he has one person on his side again (Finn), so he just shrugs it off. And they just kinda move on and talk about their families and not getting along with their fathers, which are very different situations but it’s enough to commiserate over, and they just keep going like that.
And at the beginning of this, remember, Anne thinks of Rip as just Finn’s weird friend. She has no idea what he sees in Rip, romantically. (Or platonically, for that matter. Like he’s fun to hang out with but why not literally anyone else?) And Rip’s not super good looking, either. Like, he’s handsome enough, but you probably wouldn’t look at him twice. (He’s Break’s son, so that kinda limits how hot he can be lmao.) But he just has something about him. Like, when you talk to him, you get his full attention, he’s really supportive and sympathetic and he always feels like he gets what you’re going thru. So Anne starts to get it, and then she’s like wait am I catching feelings for this guy? THIS guy? And yeah, she is. So the three of them actually end up dating for awhile, which is a lot more complicated but they like each other enough to make it work.
However, meanwhile, Rip has met Calissa. And she’s a mermaid, and a queen, and she’s married, and she has a kid, but... Well. The heart wants what it wants. So Rip has to break it off with Finn and Anne. He can explain to Finn about Calissa, so they could maybe still date, but he can’t really tell Anne about a mermaid, and if he doesn’t tell her she’s a mermaid he doesn’t really have a good excuse for why they can’t ever meet this other girl and it just feels weird. And it’s already complicated, he can’t be in so many complicated relationships at once. And Anne’s really confused about why Rip would break it off, until he says that the girl he wants to see is already married, and Anne’s pissed that Rip would pursue something with a married woman. And he says he knows it’s wrong but... he’s gonna do it anyway. (He can’t exactly say that she’s not in love with her husband but can’t get a divorce bc she’s a queen and it would be a political nightmare... Which might not help, anyway, but at least it’s better than interfering in a loving marriage, right? Right?) Anyway, Anne thinks he’s not the man she thought he was and she doesn’t even want to be friends with him anymore. Finn still is, but they don’t hang out the three of them pretty much ever again.
Rip has his secret relationship with Calissa, she gets pregnant, and then they don’t really know what to do bc they don’t know if it’s Caligo’s baby and it’s fine or if it’s Rip’s baby and they need to panic. But as her pregnancy progresses, she’s pretty sure it’s Rip’s bc the baby’s movement feels different, she’s pretty sure the baby has legs and not a tail. So they really start to panic. Rip obviously wants to take the baby, but he can’t just show up at home with a random kid and say that hey btw my mermaid girlfriend gave birth. Break would think he was insane. Anyway so that’s when Rip gets the idea to fake his death, which he does. And he moves down the coast a ways and raises baby Merliah for about a year, until the Gloss Angeles guard track him down.
Cue botched execution and 17 year exile in Fairytopia, and then he returns to Earth in December 2012.
And life is actually... pretty damn good. He’s reunited with Calissa and Merliah, and his dad now knows he wasn’t lying about seeing fairies and meeting a mermaid and all of that. He has a lot to contend with, re-adjustment-wise, with how much the world has changed in the intervening time, and he also has 2 other daughters he had no idea about, and then Calissa gets pregnant with twins pretty fast so there’s a lot going on, but he’s used to chaos and having to learn about new environments so he takes it in stride, pretty much. He also reconnects with Finn (at Merliah and Kylie’s urging), so he even gets his old friend back.
And then, in 2016, a year post-RNR, Finn tells Anne that Rip’s alive. Which is in response to her telling him about keeping Sloane from him, and so he takes the opportunity to say I’ve actually been keeping something from you, too. (Idk if those two secrets are roughly equal, but for the characters I’m going to say they are.) And so Anne reconnects with Rip, too, and finally gets brought into the loop and learns about Rip’s powers and what really went down with him and Calissa and all of that. Which is a big shock but also he has some helpful advice about how to approach the situation with Sloane, having done it twice himself lmao. So honestly, everything comes up roses for Rip. He gets to live the rest of his life in quiet domesticity, which is all he ever really wanted.
The ONLY thing that kinda sucks is that due to how mermaids (and fairies) age, Calissa basically looks the same for their whole marriage. So as he gets older, she looks more and more like some young trophy wife, and he hates that anyone looking at him would think he’s some weird old man lmao. (He’s only 3 years older than her in actuality.) But that’s basically the only thing that sucks. Everything else in his life is very good, bc he deserves that goddammit.

Yes, I still love Eren
Ok, I didn't want to write this whole post because I don't like to discuss with other people and I always try to be patient, be quiet and just ignore this kind of stuff and keep moving foward with my life, but this is getting on my nerves.
Sometimes I wonder if some people on this fandom are a bunch of kids or teenagers who never have read/watch cruel and complex fiction stories before, like Berserk, Game of thrones, Evangelion, The last of us, etc, or just people so dumb they can't differ ficction from reality...
Repeat with me: people can love villains, people can love drama and horror in ficction and that doesn't mean those people are bad :)
It's frustating being an Eren's fan, because some people just can't understand that you can love villains and characters who are assasins or a bad person IN FICTION without being pro genocide in real life. Seriously, people SHOULD know the difference between fiction and reallity.
I love Eren Jaeger, because he's complex, well written and one of the most interesting MC I've seen in my life. I love the "hero-to-villain" arcs (like Anakin Skywalker). I love a lot of characters who are not good people because of their complex backstories, personnality or conflicted development. Ex: Joel of TLOU murdered a lot of innocent people at the ending only to save ONE person, but you can understand why he's doing that, despite you don't like his actions.
Besides, you know what? "White and perfect" heroes are boring.
A lot of people is saying now "I hate Eren, uuuhhh, you're a bad person if you love him uhhhh, Eren is the worst, he's the baddest of all the characters, the members of Alliance are the only good ones, Eren must die" only because in the last chapter we've seen the collosals trampling babies... seriously?? Yeah, I was shocked too and I feel sick and sad the first time I read it, but I can deal with it because SnK was ALWAYS cruel.
I guess people just conveniently decided to forget a lot of details of the first arcs and seasons.
Heeey, remember when Annie killed a lot of soldiers, all the Levi's squad and a lot of innocent people in the Central district while she was fighting agains Eren and the Survey Corps? She even played to yo-yo with one the the soldiers hahah :D Do you remember that Eren DIDN'T want to fight agains her and only did it because his comrades Armin Mikasa, Jean, Connie, Levi and others FORCED HIM to fight? oh, and innocent children suffered and died too in the middle of that fight. But of course, people just don't talk about it, because now Annie is now one of the cute wifeys of the "group of good heroes" :) (I love Annie and aruani, btw, but I just hate when some people are so hypocrytes to love Annie, Reiner and Bert, and also the members of Alliance and just sentence Eren for do something he was obligated to do to save his people, same as the Warriors tried to do to before to save people of Marley)
Eren tried to find a pacific way to resolves the problems during 4 years. He infiltrated in Marley alone, cutted his leg and hurt his eye, and talked with Reiner, only to try to understand his actions. But while he was forgiving his enemy and old comrade, he was listening a lot of people of the world clapping and smiling when Willy Tybur declared the war and extermination of Paradis. And in that moment Eren got a sad expression on his face, because he understood the entire world was their enemy so he was forced to become in a mass murdered and the devil of the world to save his people.
People of this fandom no longer talk about all the innocent people who were eaten by the titans that Marley dumped on the island. They don't talk of the number of Eldians that nations elsewhere have locked up in concentration camps, who are tortured and humiliated every day, simply for being Eldians, just like Jews in WWII, as we saw in Zeke's and Grisha's flashbacks. People forget Erwin, Carla, Armin's granpa, thousands of innocent people who lived inside wall Maria, and hundreds of soldiers died without even know the real reason why.
People in this fandom don't talk enough about Armin was the one who told Eren "to defeat your enemies, you have to become a monster", that Levi was the one who told Eren that he will have to take difficult choices if he wanted to survive, and that other people might die but he should be prepared to deal with it. That it was Mikasa who fought without hesitation against Annie and urged Eren to fight vs their enemies, along with Armin, Jean and Connie. That Hange and Levi tortured, killed and manipulated other soldiers in season three to archieve their purposes, that Reiner admitted in front of Eren that he destroyed the wall not because they forced him, but because he wanted to be a hero, so his parents could be together and be proud of him.
No. Because it's much easy only to throw shit at Eren because he's killing babies of background characters who were totally fine with the idea to exterminate the eldians of Paradise, and yes, that includes inocent eldian children, Historia's baby and all the kids she saved at the orphanage. But I guess people is not ready to talk about this.
People don't talk about the fact Armin, Jean, Connie and the rest of the cast admited in ch 133 that they are sinners too. That they forced Eren to do this, that despite they wanted to stop him, they couldn't give him a realistic and a good alternative solution. That the Alliance killed their own comrades and ignored Eren's depression for four years. Now they regret ir but it's too late.
Btw, Armin is my favourite character of snk, and I LOVE Jean with all my heart and I like the rest of the cast. But all these things are true. Eren is the one who is commiting a global genocide, but the rest of the cast are not heroes, they're guilty about this as well. So stop picture them as heroes and Eren as the only villain of the world. This story is much more complex than that.
If you can't deal with characters with complex moratily and cruel actions, perhaps you should go to read Fairy Tail, Bleach or Naruto, where things are solved because the perfect and heroic main character is a saint who can solves all the problems of the world with the power of friendship and/or is able to change the mind of everybody just using the "talk-no-jutsu". And I'm not saying this like a bad thing, Naruto is one of my faves mangas and I like B and FT too.
and about the ending, I see a lot of people expecting some kind of cliché and easy ending, like the typicals about heroes-vs-villains stories of most Marvel's movies and mainstream animes, despite of Isayama himself has said in lot of interviews he wanted to hurt his readers and he loves controversial stories of murderers and monsters.
I don't know how Isayama will finish this. I wish it could be a peaceafull ending where eldians and humans can solve all their problems, but snk was never so positive. If Alliance wins and kills Eren and Isayama still is able to do a realistic and logical ending, giving the world convincent reasons to forgive the eldians of Paradis after that, I will be satisficed. But if Eren wins and kill all the people of the world because that's really the only way to save eldians... I won't blame Isayama. I love bittersweet, different and controversial endings.
I don't want the Alliance to die, specially my babies Armin and Jean, I love them too much, but whatever if is either Eren who wins or either the Alliance, I would like to see an ending where Eren's survives, because I think that would be very interesting, to see him dealing with the guilt of his crimes during the rest of his life, with some kind of PTSD and trying to keep moving foward with his life despite of that. That would be a million times more interesting than "just kill him because he's bad". No, he deserves to suffers the burden of his actions, same as Reiner did after he back to Marley. The scene when Reiner tried to suicided but didn't it because Falco and Gabi were his reasons to keep living made me felt a lot of emotions, I know a lot of people considered that scene like a meme now, but the emotional impact was amazing. So, if I could choose, I prefer to see a scene of Eren like that, instead ot just being murdered.

Why do some people hate Erza from FT?
Okay, wow. Loaded question right there. I’m going to assume you’ve read the entire series of FT because explaining this is kinda hard. In fact, describing how one feels about characters is difficult in the sense we all have varying reactions. Like there’s no checkbox list for good character that everyone has and abides by, but I will try and give you the general reasoning. I use a general reasoning because there is literally no way for me to send a survey to potentially millions who have read FT and ask “what is your opinion on Erza and why?”
Now to describe the reason why one might not like Erza it goes back to her introduction. Erza came in the series and was much beloved by almost every reader: she had a badass looking ability and attitude, she had a very appealing design, and in critical sense she brought something to the table of FT and that was she was conflicting to the guild. Her personality and way of doing things conflicted with the others and it made her more memorable in how she handled herself and in guild interaction. It also helped that she was a strong female because FT came out around this golden age of manga: age of One Piece, Bleach, and Naruto all running, Toriko, etc. FT was the only one to introduce a female character that seemed to be treated as on the same level as the males in a mainstream shounen series.
She then proceeded to have one of, if not the best, arc in FT, the tower of heaven arc. At this moment, Erza is at her pinnacle of character and we the audience are ready to see here it goes and it goes… Nowhere.
Yeah the first, and probably the biggest thing with Erza that people hate, and something that a lot of other characters with FT had, was she never developed post her time to shine. She has no goal, so there was journey. She doesn’t make like an endearing vow post tower of heaven. What she ends up getting is Jellal. Like in terms of character, the thing that only actually seems to change and effect her is whatever long distance relationship she had with Jellal. Another was in terms of character she just kinda stopped being consistent.
Now some would cite that they still lover her. “So what if her personality doesn’t change. I like her like that.” Well there isn’t anything wrong with a character like that, but as I said, no development (Beyond Jellel). When a character doesn’t seem to be changing then it actually causes the story to meander and causes one to question why is she even around. Eventually at the last arc Erza meets her mother and they have a big, confrontation and it result in nothing for her character. Like after the fight Erza isn’t changed on her opinion of like Dragon Slayers or Alvarez. During the fight she doesn’t say anything the is new, “You might be my biological parent, but my real family is Fairy Tail!” Yeah, no one saw that coming. And then the revelation of Wendy and Erza having a close, sisterly bond of Wendy wanting to protect Erza, not only comes out of nowhere (seriously, I think Wendy would be saying this to Natsu, but hey then we couldn’t have naked Wendy hugging naked Erza) which is referenced before the war, is not a focus until the fight with Irene, which is then dropped.
But hey, some don’t even care about the story, some just care about the Jerza ship. Fair enough, you like your ship to want more moments for it gives you an excuse to keep looking for new material. But then at the end Jellal and Erza don’t get together. That’s right, all this time spent on Erza being her most relevant thing to the plot aside from being, the strong one, which was her romance, didn’t get together. Oh I remember the day that happened. Tumblr filled with rage.
So that goes for character development. Well what about power? She’s still a badass female anime character? Wellllll… Erza came onto the scene strong with a few cool fights and even somewhat lost to Jose early on. She also probably has one of the best fights in the series when she faced Midnight. But a lot of that was early on and as more time went on people began noticing a certain pattern to how Hiro wrote not only her fights, but a lot of characters fights. Eventually I’d like to say around Tenrou (I honestly have no cool about fan reception around edolas) people notice Erza stopped winning fights because she was just that bass or she came up with a unique strategy using what skills she’s had at her disposal. No, she won by nakama power.
Now power of friendship can be a tricky thing. When done well it can convey a strong emotional bond that pushes one to push past their limits. But with Erza and Hiro, it literally became a tangible power. Her power increased and she made her way through combat situations with no actual strategy or reason, just having friends made her feel really strong inside and then plow through opponents. It didn’t help that in context that all these fights she had and extreme issue of being so thoroughly trounced that when she gave the patterned friendship speech it actually seemed like reality warpped to give her the win.
Erza vs Azuma? After he matched her blow for blow then detonates a massive tree bomb on her while she has no protection, she gets up cause she thinks of her friends and the symbolism of drawing energy from them manifest literally as now it so strong to cleave through Azuma and a massive tree root with no issue. Erza vs Minerva? First has a fight with Kagura, then proceeds to lose to a persona who has all of space at her beckoning and then new armor out of nowhere (and don’t second origin. why does she even own it in requip if she never had the strength to use it). Erza vs Kyoka? Kyoka is growing perpetually more powerful and then robs Erza of all five of her senses and increases her sense to pain. Erza wins with just her bare fists and the reason this is all possible is because, as Happy, says, “She’s Erza!”
“She’s Erza” quickly became a meme and go to phrase for an undeserving victory that seems to defy logic and only makes sense of why the character won was just because “she’s Erza” and nothing else. This would describe other anime characters to, even if they didn’t actually power of friendship their way through. I remember reading Tokyo Ghoul re and around the time Arima had fought against Sachi, a martial artist ghouls who when introduced beat the shit out of kaneki. And in their fight, Arima kills Sachi almost like its nothing.
It did help that with this friendship speech power Erza really stopped using her moveset to its fullest and uniqueness. Now, I’ve made a whole post on Erza’s powers before and I implore you to check it out. But in short, what happened was basically, Erza’s moveset involved her mixing and matching of different armors. But then eventually she just started to use the clear heart clothing or Samurai Pants more and more. And armor who’s sole purpose is to raise only attack and sacrifice all defense. I was then no surprise when it seem Erza got beaten up or wounded because for a mage whose magic was armor she seemed to completely forgo it and use a more whose whole thing is higher attack. She also seemed to use it with this cherry blossom katanna that is suppose to be more powerful the more magic a user pours into it, but there is never any indication of that. (Like nothing visually to symbolize her putting magic in it. Nothing like a glow or aura. Not even the handle starting crouch up on her arm to symbolize how it eating her magic. Nothing.)
Now Erza was S-class, so of course she is suppose to be strong. But in this world your power comes from your magic. Like Laxus is S-Class and he isn’t going in and fighting bosses with just his bare fists, no lightning. SO watching her not utilize her powers became inheriting when more and more villains she fought had these insane gaps in magic power to her. It seemed like this shift to clear heart clothing was more of a way to retroactively make Erza come off as this swordfighter similar to Kagura, but we were both introduced to her as, and for a while I might add, her weapon was also her armor and what power extended from it. All this was then compounded in her last real fight of the series where a samurai pants Erza is swapped by Irene’s dragon paw and breaks all of the bones in her body minus her arm, then value herself in to sky while proclaiming friendship, radiating magic that who’s origin is never explained, and cutting a meteor in half with only her clear heart power. Then falling to the ground where she fought with a still completely shatter body for a bit.
Now I’ve heard the defense of many for Erza fights. A lot of Erza fans will try and justify any of her wins, with the reveal of Irene being a dragon being what is sited as why Erza is so powerful, because genetically she’s the descendant of a dragon. But we have two problems with that, the first being Irene stress that thanks to her enchantment, Erza is still in her womb as still a “human child.” The second being, Erza never shows any indication beforehand that her strength is similar to a dragon. Like she doesn’t grow like scales or something dragonic like during a fight, but we’re suppose to take her as being this powerful and just looking completely natural.
But then there’s the fan who is like, “Pfft, what do I care about fights? I read FT for the story and character. All y’all getting to hung up on the wrong thing.” Well that is a fine stance to take, I mean a lot of FT fans love the characters of the series. Well as I pointed out the issues one might have with how Erza developed. Then there’s the excuse, “Rhapsode, stop holding her to the standard of males. As a man you have no right to judge the development of a female character.” (I’m serious, someone used this argument on me) Well first off, Mashima is a man, and he created and is writing Erza. Second, for this strong female, she then got really really demeaned in fanservice.
Look, there isn’t anything wrong with fanserivce or ecchi. I’ve defended it a great number of times and can be seen as the just a necessary of the industry trying to appeal to young boys. The problem with Fanservice is when it starts to demean a character or ruin the weight of a moment. Erza became hugely fanserviced in scene like her torture scene where an emphasis was put on titillation than actual horror of the scene. But you can combine strong and sexy in a character. Like Erza’s Heaven’s Wheel against Eisenwald. Sure it was was cleave exposing a maybe not the most practical looking thing, but attention wasn’t draawn to that. Attention was drawn to how she cleaned house against the thugs. But then it became progressively less so, not just in terms of the armor’s appearance, but also how Mashima laid out panels seemed to exist more to heighten the sexy even if they didn’t actually make sense. Erza’s armor against Irene was literally a bunny girl suit and with the instances of her fighting there are scenes of her downward slashes that literally are angled so the audience can see less of the action and more Erza’s thonged behind.
Like for a female character put on the same level of males, she sure does seem to get exploited more than the males. But again, people will still not have a problem with this and will hide behind the excuse of something like “Its ecchi!”
It also doesn’t help that around the time of the GMG, many turned on FT and by extension Erza. It was then in Tartaros with the she’s Erza moments, many high followed reviewers and internet critics of anime basically blasted her and that earned her a spot on the not liked characters list. With many following that same feeling.
But as you can see, my running point is that all of the examples I give for why people might dislike Erza, there is still numerous people who will find a way to defend Erza and love her. Whether its through conjecture of her personality and feelings, whether its justifying how she wins her fights, or whether its claiming that fanservice doesn’t detract to them.
And then there are some who are like, “I know Erza’s flawed, but I still like her in other people’s head canons.” Which nothing is wrong with that. And then there are those who have opinions of her that won’t change because they are holding on to their love for the Erza at the beginning, or Erza in a way had an effect on their life. But all and all, if there is one thing to take away from this is its that Erza is flawed. Not a flawed character like Shaiapouf from Hunter x Hunter or Oedipus from Oedipus. And its because of those flaws that some do not like Erza and if we are being honest, even my enjoyment of the character became stifled thanks to a lot of the writing for it.

“Luffy had no reaction to Boa...doesn’t that mean he won’t have romance?”
I’ve been debating about posting this blog because I was hesitant about the kind of reaction it would receive. But I think this topic is worth discussing logically.
Alright, so let’s dig into this thing.
If we’re going to understand Luffy and his actions (or not actions) towards Boa, then we have to first understand him as being a character that fits the Battle Shonen archetype. The genre, despite people’s complaints about it, is the most popular type of manga/anime genre there is. And One Piece, for all its glorious writing, world building and character development, is perfectly happy to sit in its genre, with Luffy fitting right into the hero archetype.
Where did this archetype even come from? It may surprise you to learn that Dragon Ball is in fact the grandfather of modern Shonen. You know what kind of stories were running in WSJ as DB’s contemporaries? Big burley manly men who never changed or progressed like Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star.
And the antithesis of this is Goku, little innocent Goku who takes this character type and flip it on its head. (Kid Goku is so cute guys! *cries*)
Toriyama’s writing absolutely can’t be understated here. Nobody had ever seen anything like Dragon Ball. It became a cultural phenomenon. It became a blueprint for success.
The classic Shonen Hero archetype has evolved into the following:
innocent
clueless when it comes to love
loves to fight/ get stronger
has a catch phrase
wants to protect their “Nakama”
thinks before they act
often stupid or a simpleton
gains power ups through training and other means
cute
Within the archetype you’ve got big hitters such as:
Goku— the OG who was so clueless, he couldn’t tell someone’s gender without slapping them in the crotch. Also obsessed with getting stronger to the detriment of, well, everything
Luffy— the uber innocent muffin who will do anything for his crew, and will go out of his way for people if it concerns their dreams. Aware of his weaknesses more than the others, Also really dumb at first
Naruto--- the misfit who starts out peeping at girls but then ends up taking on the burden of the entire world, because he’s THAT concerned about everyone and everything. Definitely the most selfless, has dumb moments, but smarter than the others
Ichigo--- the lovable grump who literally doesn’t give a shit. Coolest one of the bunch
Natsu--- loves his friends so much he gains power ups in the middle of the battle to win through the power of friendship. Probably the funniest one, takes life one job request at a time
Asta— the new kid on the block. Constantly yells to the point of irritation, believes working hard will solve all problems, doesn’t understand how relationships work and that nuns don’t get married
Deku— I know people will ask. Yes, he is a Shonen Hero, But doesn’t fit into the archetype so be will be left out of the discussion (the kid actually suffers from overthinking...complete opposite than these lovable idiots)
So, for fun, let’s throw all these Shonen Heroes into the same situation Luffy found himself in
All of these heroes fall through the ceiling and into Boa Hancock’s bath where they come face to face with the most beautiful woman on the planet who is naked.
Goku: completely unphased by Boa’s beauty. Asks who Boa is, and when she gets pissed, stands there with a “huh?” Look on his face when she shoots the love beam at him. After it has no effect, Goku puts his hand up with a smile and then says, “see ya!” Before flying off. Probably more concerned with where Vegeta went and if he managed to find a new level of Super Saiyan
Naruto: definitely phased by Boa. Would probably turn to stone ahahahaha
Ichigo: after being annoyed because he fell through the roof, would take one look at Boa, and get flustered out of embarrassment. By the time Boa tries to question him, he’s already left and found the exit.
Natsu: upon falling into the bath, he’d also be completely unphased by Boa. Would most likely take note of her earrings and ask about them. He’d probably also end up saying something Boa would find unbelievably rude, but something I would laugh hysterically at. “Woah?! Is that your guild mark?! Cool!!!”
Asta: I imagine Asta would most likely cover his eyes out of courtesy, and ask for the way out. When Boa gets mad and asks why he’s not head over heals for her, nor why he’s looking at her body, he’d say something like, “sister Lilly is waiting for me” and then leave. *sigh*
So here’s my point. Three of our boys would have the same exact reaction as Luffy. When it comes to the archetype, lusting after girls simply isn’t in their nature. Natsu’s reaction to a naked Lucy was to cover her boobs with his hands “fine I’ll cover them” he sighs in the dub. No lustful reaction whatsoever. I’m pretty sure any normal guy would, um, not react that way. He looks so bored.
Asta refused to peep at a girls bath (way to shut that down buddy), and Goku’s seen plenty of naked people and he doesn’t care. He even has the same reaction in Dragon Ball Super, after he’s married, when he accidentally sees another woman naked (who is very beautiful).
(Harsh reaction there Goku, lmao)
Luffy’s reaction to Boa is completely in line with the archetype. The innocent nature of the main character is extremely important. Oda even says in the SBS that it would just be plain weird for Luffy to get a nose bleed. I agree.
So, do our boys reactions to Boa mean romance isn’t possible for them? Of course not. Goku got married and had 2 kids. Naruto, who is the most interested in women, got married. Ichigo ended up with someone and had a kid. Natsu’s relationship with Lucy isn’t “canon” yet, buuuttt with this sequel coming and all the art Mashima’s been posting, I think we can all just call it and it’ll be happening. As for Asta, the manga is still young so it’s hard to say, but judging how Tabata is treating romance in his manga, I’d say It’s a distinct possibility. Asta does have a low-key herem going on 🤷♀️
When Goku was a kid, he came across a foe who could turn evil (ie bad thoughts) into a weapon and kill you. Goku was the only person to ever survive because he has no impure thoughts. It basically works the same way as Boa’s love-love beam.
This innocence is why Goku can ride his magical flying cloud the Kinto-Un, aka the Flying Nimbus. That innocence in Goku stays with him forever, too. Goku can ride the cloud after he’s gotten married and created spawns. The idea is, sex isn’t dirty. It’s just how you treat it may or may not make it dirty (ie unwarranted advances). Master Roshi, Goku’s perverted teacher, can’t ride the Kinto-Un. Using Goku as an example, our innocent muffins can still have romance/make babies. Their highly innocent nature doesn’t stop them, but normally with these types, they will only have romance/make babies if it’s with one very special person.
This is important to remember; for this genre, romance is a part of maturing and growing up. Most of these shonen heroes end up with someone once they’ve passed a certain point.
In One Piece Specifically
When it comes to Oda’s writing specifically, romance between characters doesn’t really play a huge role in One Piece like the way it does in Naruto and Fairy Tail. Everyone who reads OP should recognize this. Whatever ends up happening at the end of One Piece, there aren’t going to be a zillion pairings and those pairings staring off into the sunset.
There’s that famous line from Oda where he answered a question in the SBS (from chapter 317)
D: Doesn't anyone on Luffy's crew fall in love? Will there never be a tale of on-board romance? (Sanji is an exception in this case) I'm just wondering.
O: OF COURSE THEY'RE IN LOVE... WITH ADVENTURE! (← good one)
The SBS is a place where Oda jokes around with his readers. I think his answer is a good answer because it’s true, and when it comes down to it, a deflective answer. And whatever else Oda has said or hasn’t said in magazines or interviews, Oda can change his mind about what he wants to include or not include in his manga.
The reason I think this is worth bringing up is because I can see a storytelling shift which has changed in his manga. Romance in any capacity used to play almost no role in the early story. Just think about the type of characters he was creating. You’ve got Nolan’s descendant who hangs out with guys that look like monkeys. You’ve got the giants of Elbaf, you’ve got the Galley-Law company guys. There’s hardly any blood families in the first half either. Vivi and her Dad are a notable example, but they are the minority, not the majority. The first half of the story was mostly focused on people who were not blood related and were making their own families, like the Franky family. Like the Strawhats.
Post time-skip and New World, we’ve got a very different story being told. With Kyros and his wife Scarlet, Oda actually gave us the backstory to their romance! Dressrosa was set up a bit for that type of story, but I still find it notable. It wasn’t necessary for character motivations for Kyros. It felt like Oda wrote it because he wanted to.
You’ve got romance playing a big role in Whole Cake Island, even with Chiffon and Bege. This is a married couple with a young son, and not the type of characters we’d see in the early story. Sanji and Pudding were more of a serious type of relationship, even with Sanji “choosing to feel love” for Pudding. Guys, that’s...mature. We’ve seen a lot more blood ties in the New World, even to the point of the Big Mom pirates, dysfunctional as they are.
In the end, you write what you know. When One Piece started, Oda was a single guy, now he’s in his early 40′s with a daughter. The types of stories he’s telling now are based on more mature aspects of his own life.
Does this mean Luffy will most definitely end up with someone? Of course not. There’s a distinct possibility OP will end with Luffy as he is and there be no pairings of any sort.
But to dismiss the possibility of parings based on Luffy’s reaction to women or something Oda said back in some interview, is also too dismissive of a stance to take. Like his Shonen counterparts, romance for Luffy is a possibility. Remember what I said about the genre; romance is sign of growing up and maturing. Luffy is still growing and maturing, so it isn’t out of the cards.
In the end, Only Oda knows. Until One Piece has concluded, we’ll have to wait and see.

3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 47, 48, 50 for the fanfiction question please?
3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in? Mystic Messenger, i think. there’s barely any drama here.
4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms? naaayi see a lot of people say some dumb shit, especially in some fandoms, but just ignoring them is fine enough, i won’t let it hinder my content enjoyment
6. List your OTP from each fandom you’ve been involved in. oh boy oh boy i’ve been in so much fandoms xD i’ll list only the ones where there’s at least one ship i like(there are also other ships, but for things that i didn’t involve myself with its fandom)
DTB - Heiyin
Ladybug PV - Feligette
Mystic Messenger - Zenhee, Vmc
Naruto - Sasusaku
Bnha - Izuocha
Voltron - Sheith
Vampire Knight - Zeki
Bleach - Ichihime
Fairy Tail - Jerza
One Piece - Zotash
Owari no Seraph - Mikayuu
Pmmm - Madohomu
Assassin’s Creed - Arlise,Altachali (okay i’ve made up that name, idk if anyone else ships it??)
Kuroshitsuji - Cielizzy
Snk - Eremika
Drrr - Shizuona
7. List your NoTPs from each fandom you’ve been in.
DTB - that detective and widow from eps 3-4. big cringeee
Bleach - Ichi//ruki. the ship isn’t a big deal for me per se, but its fandom is unbearable
ML - never understood the popularity of nat/chlo
Avatar - Mai/ko
Mysme - V/rika

Fnaf - literally any ship here, jfc they’re souls of murdered children why would anyone ship that
Dishonored - Daud//Corvo (yes i’ve seen ppl ship it and??)

Teen Titans - bb/rae
Fairy Tail - cat ships
Opm - all ships
Snk - Ere/ri
Drrr - Shi//zaya
Inuyasha - Miro//sango
Kuroshitsuji - Seba//ciel
Soul Eater - Blackstar and tsubaki
Toradora - don’t remember ship name, the main characters
Hq!! - Iwa//oi
8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom? hmmm i think my latest is DDLC. i just saw a lot of posts about it on my dash and wanted to check it out, since i like otome games and indie horrors. but not actually play them since i’m big coward xD so i just watched Manly’s gameplay. then i just went on tumblr to scout for some fanarts lol
9. What are the best things about your current fandom? there’s sooo many talented artists!
11. Who is your current OTP? currently i’m drowning in sheith hell, other that i remember put me in angst coma for good month were heiyin and zeki
14. Go on, who are your BroTPs? mmm hard to recall bc they don’t put me thru that much roallercoaster of emotions, and i liked a lot of friendships in many media. just few that i can think of atm: Corvo and Outsider, Altair and Malik, Sakura and Sai, Sakura and Naruto, Fairy Tail guild as a whole (seriously the jokes about nakama power are funny but they’re willing to go so much for their friends, their family, i spent few days crying about it)
16. Are their any popular ships in your fandom which you dislike? already listed in notp question yo, like half of them are pretty populari always reject what’s most popular in fandom before checking thing out and have to judge it myself. i won’t ship something just because it’s popular. i ship only things that pull my hearstrings. which for some reason are usually second most popular ships, that are at war with #1 fandom’s fav lmao
17. Who was your first OTP and are they still your favourite? as a kid i remember having really, REALLY strong feelings about couples in tv shows and wondered what the fuck is wrong with me, it wasn’t until over 10 years later that i discovered what is shipping and that i’m not alone xD earliest i can recall is Bloom and that blonde dude from Winx. boy i was really hardcore shipper, had headcanons, made tattoos on my dolls with their initials, couldn’t sleep at night thinking about their relationship. they’re no longer my fave, since i’ve long forgotten about them and heiyin is my absolute fave.
19. Is there a ship which you wished you could get behind, but you just don’t feel them? oh yes a lot!! there are tons of really cute ships with good chemistry, that really suit each other, but i just don’t feel anything about them?? so i’m like oh yeah i like this, it’s sweet, but i don’t ship it. mostly bc they just didn’t have any romantic interaction even hinted, and usually i ship pairs that are intended to be canon. anyway the examples are idk, ships in sport animes like hq or knb, nejiten. also Sokka and Suki, Kataang.
20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking? yeah, ships where i don’t like the character or didn’t like at first. like i couldn’t stand Vorona at first, but later she was more likeable and Shizuona had such nice chemistry?? damn (and he’s my boy so i wouldn’t like just any ship) also still in drrr i reeeealy dislike Iza//ya, but with Namie (which i also dislike lol) they have such an interesting relation, like she’s the only one who can keep up with him, who’s equal in cunning schemes. that’s the only ship i can think of where i like paring but hate characters lmao
47. Archive Of Our Own, Fanfiction.net or Tumblr - where do you prefer to post and why? can’t post if i don’t write anything ^^” well there is one original story that i roughly drafted the universe, but i plan to make it a comic, not write. and no idea where i would post it tbh.as for reading i don’t really visit neither ao3 or ff, i read only what i spot on tumblr, or on the two sites if some tumblr post redirect me there.
48. Do you leave reviews when you read fanfiction? Why/Why not? i liveblog whatever i think about it as i read xD otherwise i’d forget everything at the end. that is when i read Wolfy’s fic. when i read something on tumblr i write review in tags, but it’s not really vast, since i keep all weird analogies to myself this time. and generally i don’t have much to say so i keep it short.
50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?can’t say i did, i don’t read it too often. i only read if it happens to show up on my dash and summary got me interested enough. i got really invested in Wolfy’s fics after he described one au, its world, the story. the more chapters i’ve read, the more i got fired up for next ones xD it’s just amazing, like i’m watching some good tier show in my head. mostly bc it’s not centered aroud the ship, but it’s the action story with slow burn in the background. hhhhng 10/10 my taste exactly 👌👌👌 i actually can’t seem to enjoy any other fanfics anymore bc it’s not the same style?? 😦

So uh, I don’t know how coherent this will be (forgive me, it’s almost midnight here) but I’ll try anyway.
I’ve been rereading FT after not touching it for years (I am in the middle of the Galuna arc, btw, so anything after that is not as fresh to me) and I was struck both by how much better than the latter canon the early parts were (if only for the lessened fanservice, and the still believable situations) and by how a lot of what I hate about FT is already rearing its ugly head.
That they are. The real problems behind Fairy Tail start with Phantom Lord, and I honestly enjoy Galuna Island a lot more than other arcs.
Case in point: what is basically the first friendship-nakama-etc speech, courtesy of Makarov himself. (I am not 100% sure it is the actual first, but it is probably the first to be that overt and long.) And honestly, this, coupled with what Makarov said to Romeo way back in the Balkan/Vulcan arc, already makes me hate him.
Rebelling against authority is cool if that authority is corrupt. Saying “fuck you” against authority that really wants you to quit destroying property and punching people is not cool at all. Especially if your longtime friend is a member of that authority and catches shit for all of your wrongdoing.
And, having read your post about the reasons you hate Makarov, I noticed that - chronologically - it starts with Gajeel. So, uh, I wanted to add something about him that you had not written about yet, as far as I know? (and, I mean, I might have missed it if you had since I only discovered this blog today! Though i have been binge-reading it for some hours…)
It is often said -and shown- that Makarov believes FT mages to be his “children”, and tbh this shows the kind of father he is…
What I consider his “first offense” comes with his reaction to Romeo’s plea (that someone PLEASE look for his dad, since he took on a job he said would take 3 days and it’s been a week) : he literally brushes him off with the worst words he could have said. “No way! Your dad is a mage! We have no mage here who can’t take care of himself! Go home!”, and later on, to himself: “if he goes to help Macao, it will only hurt his pride. No one can decide what he should do, just leave him alone.”
Fuck, I never remember that until people bring it up–but now that you mention it, I remember thinking that was really shitty, too. 1) A man’s pride is not worth less than his safety and life or the damage it causes his child to see that life in danger, and 2) that just fucking stupid. “Mages can take care of themselves”? He was up in the mountains and it was below freezing. Makarov acts like mages are immortal and infallible and that not returning from a three-day mission after a week is cause for no concern.
Then of course, when Macao is rescued by Natsu & Lucy (and he was very much in need of rescuing), he is grateful, and his pride is not damaged at all, as he tells Romeo of how he managed to defeat 19 monsters by himself.
Thanks, Makarov. Now we know who to trust.
Mirajane, in her exposition mode, says he is actually quite worried - I can believe that, but his reaction is not good at all. And I can understand where he comes from - his words clearly come from some bad experience - but still: he is the guild’s master. Is “everyone here can take care of themselves, and thus nobody should help them, and they should be left alone” the right attitude to take with this kind of things? …Nope, no it isn’t, especially when he is dealing with literal children (whom we know have been part of FT and will soon be again. Since they were FT mages, I expect they, too, would have been considered capable of taking care of themselves?).
Right you are.
The best thing about this? Laxus later on fucking calls him on it, when he refuses to go looking for Natsu and Lucy and drag them back from their stolen S-ranked job: “Don’t be ridiculous… I have another job to take care of. ‘There isn’t a single mage that can’t take care of his own stuff’, right?”
(This, btw, is the exact moment this character became my favorite)
Translation: Double standard? Not on my watch.
Which makes me wonder, how many times has Makarov said that?
Still, I suppose that -as Hiro Mashima does show some self-reflection for once- he did not actually think what Makarov said to do was the best course of action. Although it does not really excuse him pretty much using it for years before Natsu stole that S-ranked quest…
Imagine if that had been the guild’s reaction when considering whether to rescue Makarov from the Alvarez Empire. “Eh, Makarov can take care of himself. He can handle it”. And Makarov, of all people, should’ve been able to.
Anyway, going back to the whole maybe-first friendship speech (or at least the first one I noticed) : that speech was particularly appalling, at least to me, for being awful both in-canon and out of it.
Let’s start with the out of canon (uh, Doylist point of view I think?):
Yep!
It was bad writing. Pure and simple. The situation is: Kageyama, our resident Eisenwald Shikamaru-expy, has been saved by Team Natsu but has subsequently betrayed them, escaping with Lullaby. He manages to get to the regular meeting of guild masters, and attempts to play the cursed flute in front of Makarov. At that point, though, flashbacks start to happen: at first to the reasons his guild is doing it, then to things Team Natsu said to him - that what they are trying to do won’t accomplish what they truly want, some positive stuff from Gray - anyway, sorta standard stuff, but still effective. He’s sweating and hesitating - and at that point, the dreaded Speech commences: it is, tbh, a mess that boils down to “Alone, we are weak. Together, we are strong” ™ - which ends with Makarov revealing he Knew All Along, and Kage admitting his defeat.
From a purely storytelling point of view, I was - devastated, honestly. I had really gotten into that character (Shikamaru-expy and all), and was legit tearing up a bit at how Team Natsu’s words had had such an effect on him even when they weren’t even trying to Make Him Good or anything. It would have been very powerful, imo, if what had actually happened was that he simply gave up after having those flashbacks, realizing that he never really wanted to kill the guild masters and that he was just lashing out at what he believed to be an unjust world and system etc etc. You know, character development and all - all the more powerful since he never received a Friendship Speech, but simply was impacted by a few comments.
Instead…well, Friendship Speech™, which didn’t even fit into the whole thing (I mean, what has “having nakamas” got to do with what he was doing? Eisenwald’s whole problem is that they were kicked out of the League and made illegal & dark, and that they consider it to be unjust and want to get back at those who did it. That’s… that’s his guild’s issue. His nakama’s issue. The problem with him and his guild wasn’t that they were, Idk, loners without friends or whatever: it was that they were going to kill innocents and people barely connected to those who made them a dark guild, and also that they never quite examined why they were kicked out, and why they were not blameless at all, and did deserve it*), and lessened SO MUCH the impact of a villain deciding that he was on the wrong path mostly on his own, with just a bit of help and without that help being so over the top and condescending.
Way to hit the nail on the head. There is an external problem and an internal problem. The external is their perceived unjust treatment; the internal problem is their extreme reaction to it, nor merely a lack of unity or family attitude.
Then we have the in-canon problems and- I might repeat myself, you’re warned (it’s almost 0100 uuugh). Okay, so: I can accept Makarov knowing what that flute is and what it does (since even Lucy did), and being confident enough that he could stop that kid if he truly seemed to be ready to play it (he can be fast, and he simply had to extend his arm and take it). But- that speech. Man, that speech.
He is going off an infuriatingly vague and cliched speech, basing it off- what? What does he even know about Kageyama? Does he even know about Eisenwald? Probably not, since he was simply leaving because he got worried about Team Natsu being, well, a thing. Why, then, is he lecturing this person - who, for all he knows, might belong in a guild as nakama-y as FT? (oh, wait, my bad: only the good guys are allowed to have True Nakamas ™. Bad guys get the False Nakamas, if any, who would gladly kill you for power. Always. At all times. For any reason.) He just sounds arrogant, full of himself, and very much trying to do the all-knowing wise mentor routine. With an added bonus of straight up manipulation - telling him that he should not rely on tools but on friends (insert sparkly), and thus should not use that flute (what, not because he would kill innocent people in it? Because using it would be weak? Wow, thanks Makarov, so deep). There is no way in hell this could work if Mashima hadn’t really, really wanted it to. If I was Kageyama, I’d play that flute just because of that speech. That’s how much I hated it.
So if he had followed through with Makarov’s advice, he’d have returned with allies and then slaughtered the guildmasters? Nice advice. It’s doubly stupid because Kageyama is an example of relying on friends–Erigor fell down on the job and cannot complete it, so Kageyama is picking up the slack and completing it for him. Yeah, their end goal might be murder, but the principle is the same: relying on one’s friends.
*Ok this is going to be a really weird rant, but hear me out: the plight of Dark Guilds, and mages from them. For Eisenwald, it wasn’t really explored whether or not all of them were taking up assassination requests or it was just Erigor (or idk, Erigor and a few others). There must have been at least some members of the guild who never killed anyone - and at least some who were unaware of it happening in their guild. Then the guild was ordered to disband and declared dark. …We don’t really see this in canon, but IMO mages from dark guilds probably find it at least somewhat hard to find a good guild to join. And anyway, it does mean giving up your guildmates, and the guild (which, if it happened to FT, would never be supported by the narrative). Honestly, I am not condoning the things dark guilds do - but declaring a guild dark like that is not only harsh but also actively encourages the members of that guild to do Fucked Up Shit, even if they weren’t doing it before. Couldn’t there have been some inquiries, those truly responsible be arrested and the guild, without the worst members, allowed to go on? Only arresting the guild master and declaring the guild dark and ordering it to disband is the worst course of action the council could have undertaken.
That is a weird rant. I didn’t ask this question because the feeling I got while watching the Erigor arc was that most of the members overall didn’t have a problem with murder, but perhaps I’m wrong for assuming that. But generally, I wouldn’t consider that an ill response, since once lives are taken you have to take measures. Dark guilds can be forcibly disbanded when the Magic Council hire light guilds to do so, so it would make sense that they aren’t worried about backlash.
I… probably have more to say, and what I did say I wanted to say better, but I’m tired as heck and I’ve ranted long enough now. I hope you can glean something halfway coherent from this, and also wanted to let you know your analyses are brilliant and I love them <3 Thanks for reading all this, and please maybe let me know what you think?
I think you made a lot of good points. I’m now stewing in my hatred both for Makarov and for Mashima’s tired, exhausted narrative choices. Thanks for sending!

The Downfall of Fairy Tail . . .
****Insert Spoiler Warning Here*****
Hiro Mashima published the final chapter of Fairy Tail this past week, and as some one who had been following the series weekly for the better part of 6 . . . oh gods. . . 7 years now, I can honestly say that this left me just bummed.
Now, before I start with my rant, I want to address some things. First: A lot of people will label me as a hater, or a snob, or whatever, and that’s fine, but know this. I’ve been reading this series for years. This was also one of the first Shounens I ever got into. In fact, it’s only because I’ve seen/read so many other series that I can tell where the faults really are in this series. Second: I know whatever I say there will be those people who are like: “But Persephone, it’s his story, he can do what he pleases.” Trust me I know this, and I write this fully aware that this is his work and not mine. If this had been mine, people would have actually lost/died, *cough, cough, Erza, Makarov, cough, cough* and ships would be totally different, *Cough, cough, GrayLu, cough, cough* (Forgive me, it seems like I have a bit of a cold writing this). To me, having been with the series for so long, and dedicated so much of my time to reading this series weekly for YEARS, to have the final battles end how they did and then that final chapter just makes me so disappointed. Fairy Tail had so much potential, and then to see it just wasted like that just leaves me just disappointed. “But Persephone, you’ve already said that.” I KNOW, that’s how bad I feel, I feel so bad that I must reiterate how disappointed I am at a series I spent so much time with only to have it end like that. Okay, now let’s go into what made me so just done with this series.
Flaw Number One: The Spriggan 12
Immediately, I get why he felt the need to go with the twelve, and in all honestly, I do not hate all of the twelve; however, I do have to hate on some of them. For starters, War God Serena.
Now, when War God Serena was first introduced, he was hyped the fuck up. Are you kidding me?! Why wouldn’t he be hyped?! The strongest mage in all of the Kingdom swaps sides? Sounds Amazing right?! Well, it sounds amazing. Here’s the issue with him. The first time we see him fight in the manga, it seems that he uses barely a quarter of his power, and singlehandedly defeats the 2-5 Kings of Ishgar, only to be literally instantly one shotted by Human Arcnologia, literally at the end of the chapter. Arcnologia, having already proved to be the baddest of the bad, killing him wasn’t that big of a deal since after all, it was Arcnologia. What killed it for me was later on in the arc, when God Serena was brought back, he was literally used as a nobody, and more of a comedic relief then a serious BAMF he was made to be at the start. His like brief little skirmish with Gildarts was pointless, and only increased the uselessness of him afterwards. Seriously, I’m left with this bitter taste, forever wondering what the hell was the point of him in the first place.
Jacob:
Remember Jacob? No? Oh, that’s probably because this guy was the literal definition of stupid. How? Simple. This Big, Scary, Villain Mage was deathly afraid of boobs. . . . In Fairy Tail. . . . For those of you playing the home game and have literally no idea why this is fucking retarded, Fairy Tail is a series known for two things: Friendship Power, and Boobs. For a villain to be afraid of boobs is literally like Superman walking over and not only telling a villain he’s scared of this green glowy rock, but literally handing them the only thing that can take him down. It was disgusting, pointless fanservice, that turned Best Girl into literally another object, just when she was actually holding her own. Yaaaay. I mean why give Lucy a proper fight this arc when you can just show her boobs? AmIRite?
Honestly, out of all of the twelve, only a handful of them were even relatively decent characters in the first place: August, Brandish, War God DiMaria, Fucking Eileen, and Larcade. Everyone else was utterly just either pointless, or just overall bad choices. And hell out of the twelve of them, there was only one of them that I actually liked and that was Brandish, who is Best Girl Period and I’ll fight anyone who thinks otherwise, but I feel like Eileen and August need their own section to rant about. And literally the only one of the ones I didn’t mention to get a decent fight was Bradman against Gajeel, and ugh . . .that ending. . . . Moving On.
Flaw Number Two: Because She’s Erza fucking Scarlet
Queue the hate now. Goddess, if you guys didn’t hate me before haha you sure as hell are going to hate me now. Oh well, I’m prepared. Bring it.
Alright, I fucking despise Erza fucking Scarlet. One of the most beloved by the fandom is literally the worst character plot armored character ever created. Hell, she has so much plot armor she makes fucking Kirito look like a masterpiece character.
She didn’t start out as my most hated character, but damn by the end she definitely deserves the title. I loved her during the Tower of Heaven Arc, and hell, she wasn’t even that bad later on in the Tenroujima Arc, and was even decent in the Grand Magic Games Arc, but oh god did she get ridiculous really fucking quickly in the Tartarus and Alvarez Arc.
Have Erza take out a 100 monsters all by herself in a Game? Sure, that’s somewhat believable. Have Erza win the battle with Kyouka after she lost literally every single sense, but because she’s Erza can somehow use a sixth or a seventh sense? Really? Have Erza fucking Scarlet take out a fucking meteor falling from the sky right after she had literally every single bone broken except for one arm and then defeat an actual dragon with a pathetic dragon-slayer-enchanted sword? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? NO ONE IS THAT FUCKING PLOT ARMORED. RATHER THAN LOSE THE FIGHT YOU’RE TELLING ME THAT BECAUSE SHE’S ERZA SHE CAN MAGICALLY TAKE OUT A FALLING METEOR AFTER SHE’S BROKEN ALL HER BONES IN HER BODY EXCEPT ONE FUCKING ARM AND THEN STILL HAVE ENOUGH STRENGTH TO NOT ONLY MOVE BUT TO FUCKING TAKE OUT AN ACTUAL DRAGON?!?! THE FUCK KIND OF BULLSHIT IS THAT?!
And don’t even get me started on the shit about her and Arcnologia. I’m so fucking done with Erza ‘Because she’s Erza’ Scarlet, moving on.
Flaw Number Three: Eileen/Irene Belserion
Getting this out of the way so that I no longer have to talk about Erza anymore because fuck that bitch. Also, I must note that there are a couple different variations of her mother’s name, but I will be using Eileen, since I like that one best. It’s all the same person, and she is indeed Erza’s mother, so moving on.
I loved Eileen and her backstory. In all honestly, I actually really enjoyed her character, and for me that’s saying something in this series. You find out that she’s over 400 years old, and is actually not only the first Dragon Slayer, but a Dragon herself. Her past is a tragic story, and honestly, the most developed out of the 12 and more developed than most of the Fairies’ to begin with. So, if she’s got a good established character, wants Erza dead, or at least her body anyways, and a solid reason for following Zeref, why do I have a problem? Simple. The ending of her fight. Yes, I’m fucking furious that Erza magically won that fight, but what irritates me even more is her stupid, pointless, suicide. Are you fucking kidding me?! On what planet does that make sense?! This BAMF had already abandoned Erza for dead, joined Zeref, body-swapped, turned into a fucking dragon and THREW A GODDESS DAMNED METEOR AT ERZA and then after all that decides to feel remorse and then goes and fucking kills herself?! Really?! Alright. I’m done. #ForeverSaltyAboutEileen.
Flaw Number Three: Zeref, Mavis and August
Alright, these three all go together, so let’s start with the biggest killer for me.
Zeref x Mavis
Personally, when I first read about their relationship, and in Zero, I loved it. I obviously shipped the tragic immortal lovers together, and truly wished for their happiness. . . . well, that was until August came into the picture.
I would have been much happier with the Zervis relationship had Lacarde, a END prototype was the true “son” of Zeref, rather than August. Why you ask? Simple. When Mavis’ death was first shown and you got to see that tragic kiss that killed her, it was stated that that was how she died, thus making it a true tragic love story.
The only love of Zeref once again killed by his own curse the moment they achieved happiness. It was perfect. What killed it? Mavis got pregnant. Now, that could happen one of three ways. One: Mashima rewrote all of chapter 450 and changed it so after Zeref got laid, Mavis became instantly pregnant, AND the child magically survived that, (keep in mind Mavis was dead at this point). Two: Zeref fucked her corpse, magically got her corpse pregnant, in which case ewwww, or Three: I’m completely overpraising this entire thing and expecting this to make too much sense. Regardless, That ship became destroyed for me at that moment.
August:
Not even August was saved from the Power of Friendship defeat. Pooor August. Like Eileen, my main problem was his fight and how it turned out. That fucker had such powerful magic and was the son of fucking Zeref himself, and yet he got defeated by fucking Gildarts and Cana. Alright, alright, alright, but at least it was Gildarts, making it a bit more satisfying. Regardless, what does the guy do anyways after his defeat?!?! Fucking Kills Himself.. . Yet again. . . Really?! Ugh, so done with the suicides for no reason.
Flaw Number Four: The Results of the Battles
Honestly, this was the main killer for most of the fandom. Let’s have a massive country war and have literally zero heroes die in the entire thing and absolutely win with some bullshit tactic. What? Let’s review the massive circle the arc took every fight. Some all powerful baddy would come. He’d fuck some shit up. Oh no! Someone is going to sacrifice themselves to finish them off, Shit he’s dead! But they defeated baddie! Cry! Feels! Three chapters later, Our hero is fine! Are you fucking with me?!
Carla should have died. Juvia’s death would have been perfect right there, her killing herself to save her beloved, dramatic. Gajeel dying after performing a heroic deed right infront of Levy showing the true loss of this war and effecting the aftermath. Erza fucking losing a goddess damned battle for once in her goddamned life. Gray dying for attacking Zeref. ARCNOLOGIA KILLING ONE MORE ACTUAL DRAGONSLAYER TO PROVE HOW MUCH OF A BAMF HE WAS. FUCKING MAKAROV ACTUALLY STAYING FUCKING DEAD FOR ONCE. FUCKING NATSU DYING BECAUSE IT WAS FUCKING STATED THAT ONCE ZEREF DIES, NATSU DIES. ANY FUCKING MEMBER OF SABERTOOTH AND BLUE PEGASUS DYING AFTER LITERALLY BEING CRUCIFIED. AND DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE SHIT WITH ICHIYA.
I’m done with this. I’m too mad. Moving on.
Flaw Number Five: Arcnologia.
Nope. Not even going to begin on the clusterfuck of that fight. Moving on.
Flaw Number Six: The Anti-Climatic Ending
In all honestly, as cliche as it would have been, I would have much preferred a time skip and children ending. Sure, it’s the stereotypical ending for a shounen, but after this clusterfuck ending, it would have been a billion times better. The ending was just meh at best. It really just more felt like a filler ending instead of a conclusion to this 11 year tale. The only part of the ending I did enjoy was the conclusion with Zeref and Mavis reincarnating, despite the fact that they are like teenagers and they’d only been dead for like a year, but whatever. It was just the final straw in an already burning fire.
Overall, this is what caused the Fairy Tail Downfall for me and just killed my love for this series. Regardless on how it ended, Fairy Tail will always hold a special place in my heart, and I’m just glad it’s done with. Regardless, I obviously will be watching the final season in 2018 when it comes back, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it! I just get to be disappointed one last time. I guess the best way to end my time with Fairy Tail is to say this: The ending was shit, but hey! At least it looked Pretty. AmIRight?
Whatever, bring on the hate. What were your thoughts on the ending?

Roleplay Server Log #167
“Doc Gets Ditched, A Fairy for Hyrule”
[Jeb] Whoah! - is grabbed- I said you could have it! Fuck I'll pay you for doing that! How much? Name it!
[CP] Growls and focus' his powers, he knows exactly where Jeb is sitting- I have no need for your money!- Using the avatar, he pulls Jeb in before kicking him right in the gut
[Jeb] Doubles over in pain. He's taller then Doc but skinny, with an unruly mop of ginger hair. He slumps to the ground and then looks down at his hands before screaming in confusion and fear.
[CP] Grins- Boo
[Jeb] Looks up at Cp and falls silent in obvious terror.
[CP] Stalks closer- You honestly think you can order us around?
[Lie] Makes her way over, more than a little wobbly from energy usage-
[Doc] Um... Cp just FYI, it wasn't an order so much as blackmail. But I let it stand because I wanted to kill that fucking NOTCH anyway for what it did to my friends.
[CP] - So in a way he threatened both you and my mate?
[Doc] Actually he threatened everyone who lives here. If we didn't care we could have just said fuck you and left them to die.
[CP] - Just tell me something that gives me justification to kill him
[Doc] Mentally loud - Please don't kill him. Feel free to kick the crap out of him if you want though.
[Jeb] Would saying sorry help anything?
[CP] Growls and kicks Jeb in the nuts, hard-
[Jeb] Curls over in agony-
[Doc] Thank you for showing some restraint Cp.
[Jeb] Is just gasping for air-
[CP] - We're not taking him with us... He can rot here
[Doc] I wasn't proposing we take him at all. One person connected to Minecraft vanishing is one thing, two might get unwanted attention. Just put him back. But explain to him first why he should keep his mouth shut about what he's seen.
[CP] - Fuck no, he can stay right here for eternity!
[Doc] You know that's not a good idea Cp... we might need the information he can provide.
[CP] - Don't care- Gives Jeb another kick
[Jeb] Is whimpering in pain- Please.... I won't tell a soul, I swear...
[CP] - As I just said- I don't give a damn
[Lie] - CP...
[Jeb] I have a family... please... don't kill me...
[Lie] Gently rubs CP's arm- CP please, just send him back... Or do you want him living with us? Because that's probably what will happen since he'll probably want to stay with Markus
[CP] Groans- Sometimes I hate not being able to go through with my old habits
[Jeb] Is crying now. His thoughts are strong; it's his wife Jenny holding their infant son.
[Lie] - Please CP...
[CP] - Fine- He grabs Jeb and disappears with him, reappearing in front of Jeb's computer
[Jeb] Falls to the floor in a heap and tries to crawl away from Cp.
[CP] Steps on him a little- I'm warning you right now, you do anything to fuck this up and I will not hesitate to drag you back in and throw you in lava.
[Jeb] I won't.... oh god... Just take the computer... anything...
[CP] Rolls his eyes and takes the computer- However, feel free to annoy Notch as much as you want- He teleports the closest electronic and exits through it
[Jeb] Faints out of sheer relief.
[CP] Returns to where Doc and the others are. The little wither has returned to it's smaller side and is exhausted-
[Doc] Is so fired up xe excuses hirself to dart behind a rocky outcrop and there's the distinct sound of peeing that goes on for some time.
[Splender] Is calm now- Is everything happy now?
[Doc] Returns with a satisified air - I claim this seed for the Herobrines.
[CP] Is not impressed-
[Doc] Plucks the CPU gently from under his arm with hir teeth and puts it away. - Thank you.
[CP] - So how much chaos could we cause with that?
[Doc] I don't know? I guess it depends on what's on it. But for now lets go home. I'm going to pause the seed at the hub and reopen it in the cage.
[CP] - I'll take the others back- He picks Lie up and keeps Splender and the little wither close to him before teleporting back to the other seed
[Doc] Huffs - Thanks for nothing.... - Xe cuts hir own way out and heads back through the statick and void to look for home.
[Splender] - Why isn't Doc with us?
[CP] - Because I'm irritated and they need more practice making their way home
[Doc] Is already lost and wanders sullenly into a copy of Pac-man on some forgotten emulator. Xe hunkers down and munches on an overlarge banana with an angry pout.
[Lie] - CP... Go get Doc
[CP] - Why? It's not as if they haven't made their way here from that seed before
[Doc] Gets irritated with the noise and moves on. Xe stops in intentionally to an older pokemon game and doesn't even bother to change forms before barging into a shop and buying a few berries and potions for later.
[Lie] Sighs- At least go tell TLOT the good news?
[CP] - Why?
[Doc] Makes hir way back out again and just hovers in the darkness. It's not just being lost. They're feeling rather hard done by, since it was obvious they were ditched.
[BEN] Pops out of the server to jump into his game briefly. He flies towards it and happens to spot Doc- Doc?
[Doc] Hmm? Oh BEN! I'm glad to see you!
[BEN] - What are you doing out here?
[Doc] Cp ditched me... feeling a little blue...
[BEN] - He ditched you?
[Doc] Yeah... we'd just beat a ridiculiously powerful NOTCH to death and he tped with everyone but me.
[BEN] - How many people did he teleport?
[Doc] Two plus the baby wither.
[BEN] - Well it does take more energy to teleport more people... Even more if there was a slender. Plus didn't you make you're way back to the server by yourself before?
[Doc] Yeah... I would have happily carried them all though...
[BEN] - Eh, you know how CP is
[Doc] I know... Still hurts though....
[BEN] - Well, server is back that way, I'm heading to one of my games
[Doc] Thank you. Unless? You want some company? It would serve him right if Lie got mad at him.
[BEN] - Well I'm just popping over there real quick to get something for Hyrule...
[Doc] Anything. I'll even carry you if you want.
[BEN] - No need, come on- He heads towards a game and slips inside. They come out in Ocarina of time in the hidden forest village
[Doc] Follows him - What a lovely forest. Your game has lots of magic stuff doesn't it?
[BEN] - Yeah- He takes off through a large hollow tree trunk laying on it's side, ignoring the child trying to guard it's entrance
[Doc] Gives the child a huge grin just to be mischevious.
[BEN] Is in the Lost Woods and starts looking around- Come on, where are you?
[Doc] Clambers over the log and follows BEN - I might be able to help if you tell me what you're looking for?
[BEN] Takes a breath- Hyrule would be considered a child of these woods since this game is the direct prequel to mine. Each child born here is given a fairy which is their companion their whole life
[Doc] Practically melts, hir sappy smile is ear to ear. - As the parent do you have to catch one for them?
[BEN] - Usually they're given by the Deku tree, but I doubt it will be of any help to me... And there are no parents in this village... It's entirely composed of children
[Doc] How odd... do you want me to... try and sniff one out for you?
[BEN] - No, because I don't want one like Navi... Besides I don't know where to look for one... In my game Navi has been taken from me, but I have help from a different fairy
[Doc] Could we talk to the tree anyway? The worst it can do is tell us to get bent right?
[BEN] Groans- But it talks forever!
[Doc] What's the alternative?
[BEN] - Searching on our own
[Doc] Whatever you want to do. Though the prospect of a talking tree does have me curious.
[BEN] - No
[Doc] Okay. I defer to the expert then. - Sits down at attention.
[BEN] Is searching everywhere he can think of-
[Doc] Starts just nosing around in the plants. There's a lot to see and smell.
[BEN] Grumbles and throws a stick- STUPID FUCKING DEKU STICKS!
[Doc] Are they supposed to do something?
[BEN] - You set them on fire to light torches... That's it
[Doc] Pulls out a Minecraft torch and offers it to him. The glow is softly yellow and makes a decent pool of light around them.
[BEN] - Wrong torch
[Doc] Sorry, I thought you just wanted the light.
[BEN] Points up at the sun clearly shining above- And if it does get dark, I can just change the time to day again
[Doc] Sheepish - Okay. For all I knew faries were like those little bugs that are drawn to candles, and the torch would attract them.
[BEN] - Nope- He's getting frustrated at finding no fairies
[Doc] I know a chant for faries, Dawn taught me. It's kinda silly but it works for elementals. I'll try it if you promise not to laugh.
[BEN] - No promises
[Doc] Curls hir lip and sticks the torch down on the ground in front of hir since xe has no candles. Xe takes a few slow breaths to calm hir breathing like Dawn explained and uses hir tail to draw a circle around hir in the dirt. Xe clears hir throat before speaking lightly
little people everywhere your fun and love I seek to share. Gronkydoddles hear my call Leprechauns come one and all. Leader, Gob, of gnome and troll come and share your humor droll. Neckna and your undines, bold play with me your games of old. Paralda, zephyrs of the air caress me while my skin is bare. Salamanders led by djin the candle flames you may play in. Nature spirits of all sort in friendship let us now cavort. a child of love for you I'll be my mood is light as you can see. And always as you sing and play I feel my problems fade away. your laughter love and fun come through and help me feel alive like you.
-The game around them almost seems to shiver and a hush falls over them before BEN bursts out laughing-
[BEN] - THE FUCK WAS THAT!?
[Doc] Small voice- A witch taught me. It works in the real world.
-The sound of feet running through the grass can be heard as a few of the children's fairies come to investigate with their children-
[BEN] - Shit, we need to get out of here... We do not need these kids knowing we're here
[Doc] See? It did work though!
[BEN] - Yeah yeah, whatever
[Doc] whats wrong with the kids?
[BEN] - They're annoying!
[Doc] Then lead on.
[BEN] Darts along the maze like paths, ignoring the ones which have music coming from them-
[Doc] Scampers along behind him with a stealthiness not to be expected from a large yellow and purple dragon.
[BEN] Pauses, having caught sight of something-
[Doc] Bunches up behind him with hir feet all together.
[BEN] Ignores Doc and floats towards a corner and starts grinning- Hello there
[Doc] Peeks around him curiously without getting in the way.
-There's a small rose colored fairy, almost trembling down by the ground-
[Doc] Oh, it's okay little fairy. We won't hurt you. We're searching for someone to protect a baby boy. Newly born.
[BEN] Puts his hand down, the fairy cautiously hops into it- There you go, I'm a child of the forest which means my son is too, and he needs a fairy-
[Fairy] There's a soft jingling- But I'm not suitable to be a companion fairy... I'm to absent minded
[Doc] Nobodies perfect.
[Fairy] - But I was never assigned to a child by the Great Deku tree...
[Doc] So? We're going to a different game anyway.
[Fairy] - What does that mean?
[Doc] Um, it's a place where everything looks and works a little differently? And it's less rigid and organized.
[Fairy] - Is unsure
[Doc] It's less dangerous too. Hyrule is mainly going to be playing like kids do and need an extra babysitter. He's not gonna be fighting Gannondorf or whatever.
[Fairy] - He's scary...
[BEN] - Come on, you'll be fulfilling your duty as a fairy and living somewhere peaceful
[Doc] Smiles -We have pizza.
[Fairy] - What is pizza?
[Doc] Just good food I bet you've never had before. It'll be fun, and you'll have plenty of time to chill because he's still in his crib and I bet won't even be walking for a while.
[Fairy] - O... Okay...
[BEN] - Good, come on, we'll take you there now
[Doc] Grab on my mane so we don't get seperated.
[BEN] - Fine- Grabs onto Doc while cradling the fairy
[Doc] Makes a hole back out and heads back the direction BEN came from-
[Lie] - CP GO GET DOC!
[CP] - No, they need to know how to get back on their own!
[Doc] Grumbles softly- nobody around... I'm still upset no one came looking for me...
[BEN] - Come on, I wanna get this fairy to Hyrule as soon as possible
[Doc] I'm going, I'm going. - Manages to find the server with some difficulty and slips inside near Lie's giant tree.
[CP] - See! Xe made it back fine!
[Doc] Trots towards Gem's house, passing some mammoths as they go.
[BEN] Takes off as they approach- Aven?
[aven] -is holding hyrule- yes ben?
[BEN] - Sorry I ran out so quickly but I remembered something for Hyrule
[Doc] Watches breathlessly
[aven] what is it?
[BEN] Holds out the fairy which flies closer to Hyrule to investigate him-
[hyrule] -giggles at the sight of the fairy-
[aven] a fairy.
[Fairy] - Hello little one- She dances around a little
[Doc] At the fairy - Do you have a name?
[Fairy] - Nia
[hyrule] -is smiling at the fairy as he watches her-
[Doc] I think we have a winner. Nia, I'm Doc, this is BEN and Aven, and the little one is Hyrule.
[Nia] - It's nice to meet all of you
[aven] its nice to meet you too.
[BEN] Looks proud of himself-
[Doc] Server rules are simple, no griefing, no stealing. Hyrule is hooked to respawn, so if you want to help; just remind him to eat and keep him inside at night.
[hyrule] -tries to grab nia-
[Nia] Dances just out of reach- I understand
[Doc] Whispers- Good job BEN.
[aven] -offers ben to take hyrule-
[BEN] Happily takes his son-
[hyrule] -smells very clean like he just got a bath-
[BEN] Narrows eyes in suspicion- Aveeeeeeeeeeen
[aven] yes?
[Doc] I smell something nice and clean. Good job Aven.
[BEN] - Why does Hyrule seem like he got another bath?
[aven] oh while you where out gem helped me bathe hyrule.
[BEN] Growls a bit-
[aven] -is trying to look innocent but is failing because she can't stop smiling-
[BEN] - Stop doing that
[aven] doing what?
[BEN] - Bathing him!
[aven] but he needs to be clean and he likes the water.
[BEN] Whines-
[hyrule] wa-er
[BEN] Groans- That's it, I'm teaching you a different word- Heads into the house
[hyrule] wa-er
[Doc] Chuckles at the scene. - Glad to see things are going swimmingly. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go yell at someone.
[aven] good luck with that doc.
