I feel like one of the reasons why the US is Like That is the difference between countries and states. Because apparently when you're nominally still the same country, different states can pull absolute bullshit on each other that would not fly in relations between two countries.

Like if idk Belgium decided "hey we have this huge homelesness problem that we've been neglecting for decades while allowing it to get progressively worse, but we figured out how to fix it: we're loading all the homeless people onto buses and moving them across the border to France", the french response wouldn't just be "aw naw ugh I wish they couldn't do that :/"

It'd be "hey buddy that's really funny, do you want to see how fast we can get tanks on the streets of your capital?"

so i'm a custodian.

whenever someone does something cool like shit on the bathroom floor or get blood all over a toilet, i have to close the bathroom down by blocking the doorway with a CLOSED sign.

this sign is big and bright. it says CLOSED in four languages and has a do not enter symbol. it completely blocks the doorway. the only way to enter is to look directly at the sign and either move it or climb over it.

almost every single time i shut down a bathroom so i can suit up and clean a biohazard, someone will enter the bathroom with a dead-eyed, slack-jawed expression and try to wordlessly walk past me to use a stall.

and every single time, i have to block their path and say, "this bathroom is closed. there is one directly down the hall, marked by signs. please leave," and they either try to argue that THEY specifically should be allowed to use this one, as if they are god's most special little guy, or express shock even though they, again, had to contend with the CLOSED sign to enter.

often, i am standing there in the middle of cleaning up bodily fluids having to firmly repeat myself. they always leave angry or confused.

he almost never goes out because of phobia and other things, but when they do, they have bottled up wanderlust and it makes others see them as strange and suspicious

How goes the time loop?

people dont talk about it but the worst part of time loops is that even if you wanna take some time off and play some videogames you HAVE to stick to games with no progression system because your progress will be wiped next loop. like i don't even bother with sims anymore but rhytmn games aren't too bad if you don't care about preserving your score. i'm thinking if i spend a couple hundred loops playing osu i might be a pro by the time i get out of this.

i mean i already have different thoughts about him being 'the weakest archon' (possibly a lie? but can be the truth based on what it means to 'draw power from belief') - if the people's beliefs is to an icon/a symbol who is not *him* (a bit like concept of godly power from Discworld from PTerry, where one god found himself stuck in the body of a turtle bcs his people were devoted to the idea of him and not actually him)

but the idea of him having the ability to draw unto that kinda power is kinda enticing to me, from a writing standpoint. hmmmm badass venti but only situational

I hate that the "x reader" or "x Y/N" style of fanfic has become sooooo popular, partially because it's just not for me and partially because they clog general non-fic related tags and those authors seem allergic to the "read more" function on this website, but ALSO because I believe that you should have to go through the trouble of creating an absolutely batshit self-insert character, with a backstory that makes no sense and a name that doesn't really gel with the aesthetics of the universe. Legolas and Aragorn should be in a love triangle with Kylie, the angsty sixteen year old half-human half-elf and inexplicable tenth member of the Fellowship. Do the WORK. If everyone was doing "Y/N" nonsense back in the day, there would be no Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way, or probably Bella Swan. These are important women. They deserve to be named, confusingly and with no regard for the fictional world they inhabit.
