can u dump random error facts.. maybe..
FACTS?? cracks my little knuckles
TW FOR SUICIDE MENTION!
okay. im gonna go off memory. so if i get anything wrong someone correct me.
- Error’s glasses have been around since Aftertale! Geno got them from Alphys with the wrong prescription. Because Geno is.. well, himself, he decided that the shitty prescription was “good enough” and rolled with it.
- Error is nearsighted. In the askerror comic Swap paps is seen standing far away. He is blurry. The closer he got to Error, the clearer his image became
- Error’s REAL name is Gaylord Scooter Brighton (im not making this up)
- Contrary to popular belief, Error can feel guilt. Guilt is hinted at in CQ’s summary of what could’ve been (a completed Error comic much like Aftertale).
- Error Papyrus and Error Undyne are canonical characters within his story. I, however, don’t enjoy them as much as I enjoy Error himself, so they’re irrelevant to me
- Errors are literally some sort of species. Error isn’t the only one (Circuit, Proferror, the ones mentioned above, Blueberror). My memory might be failing me but I remember hearing that an Error’s “last thought” before becoming corrupted is very important. Why? I forgot. Is this actually true? I forgot, but i cant be bothered to check
- Error IS suicidal. After destroying all fhe AUs, he will kill himself. In addition, Error would kill himself if he ever became mentally sane enough to understand how hypocritical he is.
- Error has a sensitivity to Papyrus. He doesn’t like being asked about him, or “his brother.” In addition, he struggles to kill them, shown in the AskError comic as well. Geno’s still in there and it’s sooo so amazing to think about
- Error’s very insecure. Although the idea of him being this slay girlypop feather boa wearing king is amazing, he could never. I remember seeing a comic where he indirectly says he dislikes himself. Which makes sense— his narcissistic characteristics definitely stem from insecurity. “i feel like i’m the worst so i’ll act like im the best” mentality (we genuinely relate too much to this).
- Error canonically has five blue tongues
- Error’s glitches temporarily blind him at random. Yes, it happens when he is agitated or upset, but it also comes and goes as it pleases.
- Error’s glitches are painful. Crashes are painful. The scene of him first pulling strings from his sockets was likely EXTREMELY agonizing (i’m pretty sure he said it hurt himself while showing it all to blue).
- Error’s portals do seem to have some sort of replay ability. After all, how else could he have shown Blue what happened to himself?
- He’s very lonely. He wants friends. Living friends.
- CQ stated that Error is INTENTIONALLY made to make no sense. His character doesn’t make sense to you? Good! That’s the point! He’s an enigma that doesn’t even understand himself.
- Error can see and read code as if he were looking at a computer screen. He likes picking through the code of an AU before he destroys it
- Error loves Outertale and Undernovela. He will never finish his little job.
okay thats all i remember ty for asking :3

Sometimes I think about how much Mettaton (specifically in Undertale) and Spamton are foils to each other and it drives me perhaps a bit insane.
Like... Mettaton had the drive to go see the light of day on the surface, to be with humans and be a savior to monsterkind, and was willing to kill a kid to get there. He wanted to be more than a simple snail farmer and had Alphys there to help him build a new body. He, whether intended or not, abandoned family & friends to live out his dream.
Spamton is also more than willing to kill to get to see the light, he wants to be more than a darkner in a dark world, and abandons his friends to be [big] without them, relying only on the help of some strange benefactor until he also is abandoned.
They both can be self absorbed, their visages plastered around all the stuff they own (or owned). They can be inconsiderate of others. They have dreams of being big stars. There is no subtext with MTT figuring out his identity and his transitioning; its all plain to see. While it's more subtle for Spam, there are themes of self identity with him, too.
I think the biggest difference in their personalities is that Mettaton can be a lot more humble. Despite Burgerpants' treatment and taking Alphys for granted, a lot of the monsters in the MTT hotel do speak fondly of him, especially if he dies and you go back through the hotel afterward. He doesn't resist talking to Napstablook when they call in, even though he probably feels guilty for leaving them behind for whatever reason he did. He clearly still loves his cousin, and does appreciate his friendship with Alphys.
Meanwhile Spamton lies to himself about being better off without the Addisons. Deep down he doesn't mean it, but coming to terms with the reality of his feelings? Naw. He's probably had to use this tough guy persona to shield himself from criticism in his big shot days and now doesn't know how to take the mask off without it hurting. There's a lot of denial in his small body, not helped by the years of scraping by in back alleys after his fall.
Though, if the roles were reversed, would things have played out differently? Mettaton has the benefit of well-meaning people around him and luck. Its through shuffling around the trash zone that he met someone who could make his dream body come true, and who ALSO had ties to the king of the Underground. Spamton has... fairweather friends? We don't know for sure how close he was to the Addisons, or how much he thinks of his relationship with Swatch in his grander days, or how benevolent the person on the phone really was.
Yes, there was desperation to get to the surface for MTT, but he didn't have to deal with the mind-breaking information of how radically different and free the light world is when you live a deterministic existence. He didn't have to deal with seeing a soul as a blinding beacon within a kid's body. I doubt Metta wouldn't be overly obsessed with the light world, nor doubt Spamton wouldn't be content with his place in life, if they swapped shoes.
It's also so WILD that they don't know each other in the DR universe, but Mettaton had a profound impact on Spamton just by making his a little art file. He unknowingly is the one who gives this spam email a glimpse into world above, and possibly a piece of his own hopes and dreams as well. I wonder if later the DR Mettaton, too, will be affected in some way by Spamton.

Wine is waaaay to worse than i imagined😭😭😭. I will blame all the fic that i read about him and make like he was a nice guy. The fact that i will immediatly shoot the other au without question if he meet them is insane. And the way he always want more power and he will always try to manipulate the king . Also poor coffee😓.
Anon, I’m using your ask to ramble about Wine. And it’s too long…. So i think i will put the rest under the cut. After the pic.
I haven’t read much of fics that have Wine in it. But with so little information about him, the way it scattered around and languages barrier. I understand that ppl may have different view of him, also is the setting of the fic. If it’s on the surface, i guess he could be better???
But there’s a thing about FSG(Fellswap-Gold) being set in communist theme , Wine being the head of the royal guard, AKA he the head government. Idk about you guys, but for me. Any head government of a dictatorship system could never be a nice guy. NEVER. IT’S UNACCEPTABLE.
Though, you guys can have fun, just don’t forget it exists in real world. And even thought it’s not real. Propaganda exists, so is the media effects.
I summarized some of the timeline in the second pic (The art is based from the creator)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hate Wine so much, but here i am defending him(?) nope just explaining my insight. (i still haven’t read the setting with proper translation , so this is my headcanon from what i understand)
Wine will immediately shoot other AU.
It’s both Gaster and the system that made him that way. He’s born to be the best solider. He trained hard, deem to be love by Gaster but Gaster only see him and Coffee as tools. After Wine feelings toward Coffee became ‘his only family’ Wine wants to protect Coffee. Wine changed to rely on Coffee being relied to him. Wine betrayed Gaster cuz Gaster want to get rid of Coffee.
Wine is a conservative, because that what the system always is.
So Wine will shoot other AU immediately because for the system. AU is see as threat. The AU would bring new possibilities and that’s against the conservative view that is to continue the old/current system.
(The dictatorship and conservative control the knowledge of their citizens. Keep their knowledge low so it makes them easier to control. Risks of having the AU be seen by citizens is not good. Citizens can’t see new things, can’t have more knowledge of other AU, can’t know that world with freedom exist. So the AU is see as threat)
But of course, Wine is not really a full conservative as we seen in some settings about him, like Wine doesn’t discriminate toward Undyne&Alphys, Wine support Grillby and Muffet interracial wedding. But the system, the time(their au set in old period), and social. Also is the way he grow up, the way he need to be ‘the best’. It rooted too deep into his mind. And it show with what he said toward Coffee.
Yes Wine always seek power.
Because he’s a coward. Wine felt loved when Coffee relied on him as a child. But when they grow up, Wine still think that way to the point of unhealthy. Because he feared of being alone and lost his only family. And because of the system in underground is like that, he needs power to stay safe. To stay alive and hope that the thing he fears the most never come true. So it lead to seeking powers.
Wine for me, he’s a coward, he fears and the only way he knows how to ease those fears is to have more power.
Kinda words these badly, cycling nonstop. But it’s really just the way it is. Cycle. The system can't be changed. It needs to be perished.
Yes…. Poor Coffee…he also has a problem… but that’s for another time. Another post… the bairnrot hitting me bad…
These information are from @/fsg-settings go check it or you can see my post and a link to my doc i collected all the information in one doc and used google translated on them. So you can just read there. Or maybe opening the web would be easier?

Can I have some cute random facts about the skeleton brothers?
Sure can!
Undertale Sans - Sans is the one who sneaked the annoying dog into the house Underground. He figured that when Papyrus is a little sad, the dog always managed to cheer him up, or, well, annoy him enough so he doesn't think about what's making him sad anymore.
Undertale Papyrus - When Undyne and Alphys had their first kid, Papyrus played the nanny so they could both sleep the first night as he could see they were both really exhausted. He ends up being the child's godfather as well and he would die for his niece/nephew.
Underswap Sans - He participated in a beauty contest for fun with Alphys in the first month he reached the Surface and won. He's still sleeping with his trophy to this day, he's actually very proud of it (mostly because Alphys didn't win anything and her jealous face will not make him laugh).
Underswap Papyrus - He didn't know how to swim and so he was sad when he found himself all alone during the first monster trip to the beach while everyone was having fun. So Asgore picked him up and carried him on his back so he could enjoy the sea like the others. He even taught him the basics in a swimming pool when they got home and Honey is so thankful for it as he discovered he actually really likes that.
Underfell Sans - He couldn't be a dinosaur kid Underground, but I can promise you that the second he got on the Surface, he fell madly in love with the giant reptiles to the point of squealing in joy every time he saw a toy representing a dinosaur he doesn't have. He has a very impressive collection of them now. Edge took him to a dinosaur museum for his birthday. After that, it became impossible to make Red shut up for two months. It's still his favorite place on Earth and he's going there at least once a month.
Underfell Papyrus - That time, completely drunk, when he confessed to Undyne that she was his best friend and that he didn't know what he'd do without her. Of course, the next morning, the face entirely red, he screamed at her she imagined the whole thing and to leave him alone, despite her recording of the scene on her phone. But yeah, he turns a lot softer once drunk and Undyne is so amused by this that she's going to torment him for two months.
Horrortale Sans - Since Toriel's eyesight became pretty terrible over the years, once a week, Oak comes to her place to read books to her. It's a nice routine they have from Underground after he got his skull smashed as reading was helping Oak's memory. He struggled on a lot of words and she helped him through his lecture. Now he's doing it only to entertain her, mainly because it hurts him so much to notice Toriel is aging. She became his whole world through the years and he's not sure he could bear losing her. So he cherishes any small moment he has with her.
Horrortale Papyrus - He's working as a volunteer in an old people retirement home and even if he's not supposed to, he loves taking the three old ladies he's taking care of to the movie theater or to the restaurant just so they can have fun for a few hours. They're all acting like they're on a super secret mission and it's always a nice time. He kidnapped them next Gyftmas to celebrate at his place because no one should be without a family at that time.
Swapfell Sans - He loves being massaged to the point he becomes completely limp in his S/O's arms. It's actually one of the very rare moments you'll see him fully relaxed and/or deep asleep, as Nox usually never lowers his guard. That pretty much means he feels very safe around you, which is literally a confession that he trusts you with his life. You're a lucky one.
Swapfell Papyrus - The first time Nox took him to an attraction park once they arrived on the Surface is where Rus actually called him brother again for the first time in almost twenty years. Now that's something they do every year, to remind each other that despite everything that happened, they're still here for each other. Rus can tell it's Nox's way to apologize for the childhood Rus never really had and he's actually glad. Even though it's also a good excuse to get his revenge once a year by dragging his brother to a fantom train just to watch him scream with terror the whole time, without being able to complain because Rus will guilt-trip him otherwise lmao.
Fellswap Gold Sans - He tried makeup for the first time on the Surface and now he has a little bit of an addiction on his hands. He can spend hours in the cosmetics shops, just trying everything to see what looks good on him. He's actually so known in these shops the seller usually keeps all the new things in a corner so he can try them when he comes.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - Since he doesn't like to talk to the seller in the shops, he usually sends his brother or his S/O to buy things for him. But since they often mess up and don't pick what he wants, now he's coming along, just hiding behind them and silently pointing at the things he wants with puppy eyes. Now that he has a little more confidence he's just doing it with anything he wants and that is not planned. Just staring intensely so someone notices him and buys it lol. He's poor, please say yes :(

I've been doing a lot of thinking...and I feel like I need to scream this out somehow even though I'm sure it's been talked about before (and I'm putting it under a readmore because it gets long).
No matter what, in any playthrough you do and any timeline you create.
UNDERTALE is a game about guilt.
You have Toriel, so guiltridden she couldn't protect her own children that she devotes herself to never letting another child leave again. And then they do!! over and over again, that guilt compounds until it's the center of her life and every choice she makes!!
And obviously Asgore, so guiltridden that he couldn't protect his own children from humans that he spends the rest of his days trying to get out and get revenge on them--as if that will stop the voices in his head saying, if you had been out there with them you could have stopped it, you could have stopped those humans from killing your children, and maybe he could have!! Or maybe not!! He'll never know and it eats him from the inside out!
Alphys, oh my sweet summer child this fandom does not deserve you!! Alphys, so guiltridden from her own perceived failures as a scientist that she began to try anything, anything to make the King happy, and it seemed to be working at first, and then it was so everlastingly worse, how can you cause something worse than death?? without even trying??
And it shows up in little ways, silly ways, too! Ways you wouldn't even think about as guilt! Undyne! She feels guilty that she won't let Papyrus join the Royal Guard so she gives him cooking lessons instead! Papyrus feels guilty that he's not in love with you after one date so he'll "keep being your cool friend and act like this never happened!"
SANS MY BOI don't even get me started. His guilt isn't as physically obvious but he made a promise to toriel, he promised her he would keep the human safe, and in timelines where you save everyone he follows you pretty much all throughout the Underground (even if he doesn't do anything to help smh) because he'd feel guilty not doing it, and in timelines where you kill everyone he feels guilty for not stopping you, AND in those SAME timelines he feels guilty for stopping you because it means he's breaking his promise to Toriel to keep you safe I!!! This boy can fit so much cosmic guilt in him!!!!
Asriel! FLOWEY!! Do you ever wonder if he feels guilty about being the one to wake up again? The one to survive, when Chara had to die twice?? He sits at their grave and he will do anything, anything to drown out those thoughts so he befriends and kills and torments and it's all the same and it's all useless!!
And their guilt compounds each others'! Toriel makes Sans make that promise because of her own guilt, which increases his! Asgore's guilt is what pushes Alphys so far past the limits of ethical science, because he increases hers!
And all of this, all of this, ALL OF THIS pales in comparison to you!!!
You!! The player! You return to the Underground after maybe accidentally killing Toriel or a few others because you didn't know, you never wanted to hurt them!! You listen to Flowey and you come back and you save them all!
You! The player!!! You cry at the ending and you'd feel guilty, so guilty about letting them all go, wouldn't you? So you ignore Flowey's pleas to let it alone, and you come back again, you say hello to your dear friends but this time it isn't the same, this time you kill them all because you want to see everything this game has to offer, might as well get your money's worth, the fights are cool, right?? And then you get hit with the most unsatisfying atomic bomb of an ending and the only thing left is your own reflection staring back at you from the black screen of your computer as the horror dawns, what have you done???
YOU!!! The player! You go back again even though there is no Flowey left to tell you to, and you save them all again because I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry, nobody deserves what I did to all of you, and it's all good, nobody remembers, and then you get to the end. The game knows what you did!!! It never forgot, and it'll make certain you never forget either!! Guilt!! Guilt, guilt!!! It's baked into the code of this game!!
Anyways tl;dr, maybe it actually did make sense to give this game to the pope

I absolutely adored the way you wrote Papyrus in your last don't imagine that includes him. I know you wrote that one with a (I think) Moba game.
Can I have one in which has that Papyrus but where the game of choice is an MMORPG (Mabinogi [My MMORPG of choice], World of Warcraft)? And of course, Reader being one of the top players. Thank you if you do so!
Well, I didn't have a specific game in mind for the original Don't Imagine but I loosely based it on competitive shooters. My game of choice is usually a cozy or a survival type so I only have a surface level of knowledge for these types.
Don't imagine being one of the highest ranking players in a popular MMORPG. How you know the game inside and out. How you've mastered most, if not all, of the different characters even if you only ever play your favourite. How you play all the seasonal events the day they drop and make it a point to collect all the event items.
Don't imagine hopping online after a tiring work week and joining a raid with a couple other players. How you're playing like you always do when one of the other players catches your attention. How he seems rather underleveled for this zone and keeps dying a lot. How he seems very enthusiastic about trying out the new event despite this.
Don't imagine feeling a little bad for him when the other players start flaming his skills in the chat. How you keep an eye on the player and how you realize he actually has a better grasp on his character's abilities than most. How he's clearly trying his best and how he refuses to quit mid-match, despite the vicious mockery.
Don't imagine how your team manages to beat the raid by the skin of their teeth. How despite the rocky start, the new player held his own in the end. How you send him a friend request afterwards on a whim.
Don't imagine how he almost immediately accepts and how you start regularly playing together. How you decide to use a lower leveled character for a while to keep the enemy spawns more fair. How you admire his sense of strategy and enthusiasm towards even the small aspects of the game. How it never ceases to bring a smile to your face to log on only to be greeted by a pm about the latest drop he got.
Don't imagine how you eventually move to another platform so you can communicate outside of the game. How you learn that he's a monster and a skeleton at that. How his choice of characters makes so much sense now. How you realize he really is just a genuine person and not putting on a front all the time.
Don't imagine gaining a peek into his everyday life and how close he is with his friends. How he introduces you to his friend Alphys who also plays the same game you do. How the three of you regularly play together for months before Papyrus brings up the idea of meeting up in real life. How you're a bit hesitant at first since you did meet over the internet but ultimately agree.
Don't imagine getting off the airplane to find your two besties waiting in the terminal for you. How Alphys seems a bit shy at first but Papyrus is as friendly as ever. How you get to ride in the red convertible he's so proud of and see the city with them. How they introduce you to their friends and help you feel right at home.
Don't imagine Papyrus offering to put you up in the guest bedroom so you wouldn't have to get a hotel. How you get to sample his cooking for the first time and how he's even better than you expected. How he double-checks that you have everything you need before bed. Definitely don't imagine pulling him into a hug and thanking him for everything. How he seems stunned at first before melting into your embrace. How he expresses how glad he is to have met such an amazing person like you.
First, Previous, & Next Request

Hiii
So I saw that you're ok with being spammed and everything, so expect to see me a lot :3
I just read about what the au's dream pet/favorite animal was, and I was wondering how they would act with an s/o who's a monster of that animal?
Hiiii, it's nice to meet you!!
Sans : He loves to poke them in the side to make them squawk, cackling each time. He finds their feathers really pretty, so he saves any of the bigger ones when they fall off. He doesn't view them as a pet, of course, more of like a s/o with a big "pet me" sticker on them. He also likes using their wings as a blanket, laying his head on their lap. He can't help that they're comfortable!
Papyrus : You lazy cat! He's constantly picking them up and moving them to sleep elsewhere. Papyrus will act all mad until they slow blink at him and start to purr. Oh... He guesses you can stay on the couch a bit longer..
Cobalt : Slinky cat s/o? Yes please. Especially if they're having zoomies. Yes, let's run around! Let's play! He's more gentle with them due to their longer spine, and chuckles while they dook(happy ferret noises). He can't help it, he has to copy them. Then they copy him. And it's a constant back and forth. After playing so much, even he is tired, resting on the floor to take a breather. Only when they plop down next to him and rub their face against his, he lets out the softest of purrs, happy with them.
Honey : With an s/o built almost exactly like Greater Dog, it means the ultimate cuddles. Good thing they're built to be lazy, otherwise, they'd be suffering as Honey's new pillow. Honey is constantly purring when laying on them, feeling as if he in heaven.
Red : Okay, Alphys wanna-be. Just kidding, he loves looking at all of their neat patterns and colors on their scales. He loves it when they scratch under his chin with those claws of theirs, letting out an accidental purr. Who's the animal, you or him?
Edge : Doomfanger is staring daggers at his s/o, letting out low growls. It's worrying because they are doing it right back at her, the two having their ears flipped backwards and tails waving behind them. Oh jeez. He can love both of you, now knock it off!
Nox : Look at those ears... Despite trying his best, he can't help but touch them. When s/o sits next to him, he pets them. When s/o lays on his shoulder, he pets them. They are just too cute...
Rus : Spider s/o... Are you related to Muffet by chance? All jokes, he'd go up to them and have them hold multiple things at once, eventually coming back and taking it back, saying a gentle thank you before going off to do whatever he wants. In the distance, there's a Nox screaming because he sat on a whoopie cushion filled with glitter... again.
Cherry : Oh look at you. He just wants to hold them and protect them constantly. He'd tie bows in their hair and around their neck to add to the cute factor. Then when the time comes around to have to shear their wool, he helps by getting the hard to reach spots. He then uses the wool to knit and crochet(yes, our boy can do both) to make little accessories for you.
Pup : They're his special guard dog, growling at anyone to come to close to him. They're more fit to be in the royal guard than protecting his anxiety-stricken self, but yet, they stay around to help keep him safe and others away. If you want him, you gotta talk to s/o first.
Wine : He'll stick to your weird fleshy self, thanks. He holds his human s/o close and Coffee taunts him with the bunny he got, using s/o as a meat-shield. Thanks, Wine, love you too.
Coffee : A fox... He loves that long, fluffy tail of theirs, sleeps on it all the time. The pretty colors too, ugh, he can't stop painting them. They're in all of his art works, now have becoming his new muse.
Moon : A cat! Oh, look at you! A new nap buddy to lay and sleep with! He's constantly squishing their face and playing with their fur. He promises to give them space... maybe after he pets them one last time.
Sun : He thinks he prefers the human s/o... at least he doesn't sneeze every five seconds around them.
Oak : Chimken... He likes to look at their feathers and likes touching them, feeling how soft they are. Due to s/o's species, they're real small, so Oak carries them around most of the time while he's working on the farm. Sometimes, he'll sit them with the other chickens as to help keep an eye on them.
Willow : Oh, those spots! A cow, sweet and always looking to rest somewhere, he spends hours staring at his s/o. He'd chuckle as his s/o stares in wonder at an actual cow, petting their wet nose. Although, it doesn't really matter to him, as long as someone loves him, that's fine.
Crow and Dove : Just another crow to add to their army, except this one talks and kisses them periodically.
Error : Stay the FUCK AWAY you messy creature! Yeah, good luck. It was a nice try though.
Dust : He didn't think that his possible future support animal would be lil ol s/o. He relies on them for any kind of emotional support, as he feels empty inside constantly. If s/o is wagging their tail, he's holding a small smile on his face. If s/o's ears are pinned back, he's threatening to summon an attack. It's that simple, really.
Killer : Another one for the collection. He probably found them at a bar, saw kitty, hit on them, and brought them home.. without permission. Nothing that octopus can do, because now Killer's emotional state relies on s/o. Sometimes, he'll rough em up just to make Killer listen. Ain't nothing wrong with a bit of bribery to make your employees listen after all.

Uh random prompt: of your favorite brothers, what’s your interpretation on how they would react to someone they care about (Romantic or platonic writers choice) getting turned into an amalgam?
ohhh, this is hard! I have too many favourites!
UT Sans:
when he first finds you he's horrified.
he was suspocious at first when Alphys kept putting off your arrival home. Eventually he decided to go looking. Finding you and the rest of the amalgrams horrified him. He despretly tries to figure out a way to fix you and the other amalgrams
He spends months locking himself away in his own lab trying to help you. He pushes everyone away, even you, as he works himself to death for a cure.
It's only when Papyrus drags him upstairs and lectures him for pushing him and yourself away.
Once Sans gets it through his head that this isn't the route to go, he takes breaks and spends more time with you. Helping you get used to your new body.
he and Alphys decide to keep you and the other amalgrams in her lab, as it has the best equipment, and if something goes wrong they have access to some of the most advanced tech in all of the Underground immediantly.
While he and Alphys trie to figure out a cure, you remain in Alphys lab, though you are allowed to leave whenever you want
He treats you as he normally would. Making the same dumb puns and pranks that would make you laugh.
Sometimes he treats you more delicatly then he needs to.
UT Papyrus:
Like Sans, he grows worried about your sudden disapreance from the Underground. He frequently calls you and messages you, asking you how you are, where you are and if your okay.
Soon after he tracks you down in the hidden lab. Unlike Sans, who sorta just sneaks in without Alphys knowing until he's already seen everything.
Papyrus just bursts in, greeting Alphys like an old friend while looking for you. He's friendly, but serious in his mission to look for you. This is where you were last seen after all.
When he finds you, his soul is crushed. The pain your in, the fear you must feel. It hurts him so bad.
He envolps you in a tight hug, not letting go. Even when he hears and sees the other Amalgrams and Alphys.
He immediantly tells Undyne everything, who then tells Asgore everything.
Asgore informs the other amalgrams families and orders Alphys to immediantly start looking for a cure. All other projects put on hold, or handed off to other scientists.
He takes you back to his home. Papyrus is optimistic that you'll eventually get better.
He drags you out for patrols and puzzles and for training. Anything that can get you out of your head, and push the memorys of recent happenings away. Even if its only for a little while.
Regardless of whether a cure is found or not, I believe that Papyrus would still take care of you. He wouldn't mind, he loves you after all.
UF Sans (red):
Initially he dismisses your lack of communiction with him.
You'd gotten into an arguement and you'd stormed off. Just needed a few days to cool down, that's all.
Though when you don't turn back up after a few days, no calls, no messages. He gets worried.
Red teleports into your home. He tears the place a part looking for you. When he doesn't find you and instead finds an e-mail from Alphys offering a job as a lab assistent.
Reds not stupid, he knows Alphys and her fucked up games. He immediantly teleports to the lab, ripping the place a part looking for you. Red ignores Alphys furious screeches and questions.
When he finds you he lashes out. Throwing as many attacks at Alphys as he can, he doesn't give up until Undyne and Edge have arrived.
He drags you back to your home. Trying to patch you up as best as he can, holding your melting body with bandages and monster candy.
Like UT Sans, he throws himself into his work, trying to find a way to cure you. This time though, he doesn't work with Alphys.
He feels terrible. Red feels as though he could have prevented this whole thing from happening if he just wasn't so lazy. Red works to combat his lazyness, in order to prevent something like this from ever happening again.
He keeps you in his home. Hiding you from the rest of the Underground.
If people knew what you were, well, too many people would get the wrong idea. So he keeps you in his home.
He tries to keep you as happy as possible for the meanwhile.
UF Papyrus (Edge):
Edge immediantly notices something is amiss when you don't respond to one of his many Undernet messages.
He embarks on a patrol for you as soon as possible, finding all the clues to your whereabouts, one after the other.
Edge is one of the quickest skeletons to find you after you've turned into a amalgram. Only a few hours afterwords.
Unlike Red he does not attack Alphys and instead pins her to the wall. Demanding an explanation. Once she explains that she was ordered to find a way to make Monsters stronger, he releases her.
He takes you back to his home immdiantly. He places you in the shed. It sounds harsh, but if Alphys is to be believed then people could be looking for you.
Like UT Papyrus, he tries to keep your spirits up with training and puzzles.
Even if that training is just you two figuring out how to cook lasgana and not burn down the kitchen.

More B-Side Verse!
Next up is Error.
Tumblr media
This is Trojan, the B-Side verse version of Error.
Tumblr media
(click for better quality)
- Within B-Side, Trojan used to be a Science Sans instead of a Geno Sans like Error was.
- Since Trojan originated from a younger and overall nicer Sans variant, Trojan is much more pacifistic and less angry than Error.
- He still destroys Universes, but he's less likely to actually fight people. He does his job and tries to flee as fast as possible when Scribe shows up, only rarely giving in to fighting.
- A glitch is spreading throughout B-Side verse. It seems as though there is no cure, but destroying the infected universes seem to slow it down. So, Trojan does his best to kill off the infected universes using his power, only leaving the uninfected alive. This earns him the title of "God of Destruction" throughout the multiverse as rumor spreads. No one, except Trojan's trusted allies, know of his true motives.
- Scribe and his crew are trying to stop the same corruption, but Scribe believes Trojan is the root cause of it and seeks to annihilate him, thinking destroying "the source" will kill off the rest. He doesn't see Trojan's efforts as "damage control", all he sees is Trojan "spreading more corruption."
- Being alone for so long has made him more like Alphys, very nervous and anti-social, but undeniably brilliant. He has a habit of going on long rambling tangents about data, space, magic, and whatnot. Most people don't understand a thing he's talking about though. He doesn't care, he's just happy to infodump.
- Most people see him as this maniacal mad scientist who tortures people and experiments on souls. Many Sanses like to compare him to some of the abusive and horrible Gasters throughout the multiverse. When, in reality, Trojan has absolutely zero confidence in himself let alone his "mad science."
- Most of Trojan's time is actually spent researching and documenting the different magic and fighting styles all Sans and Papyri have. He finds all the variation extremely fascinating and just rly rly rly wants to learn about it all. (*Cough* undiagnosed autism *cough*/lh)
- Trojan really doesn't have many friends and doesn't get out much. But, unlike Error, he's pretty good friends with Nightmare and his gang of misfits, as well as Cyan, the B-Side variant of Underswap Sans.
- For a long while, Trojan couldn't remember he used to be a Science Sans. Once he did remember, Cyan gave him his necklace as a reminder to never forget.
Tumblr media
The rest of these are not rly that important, they're just funky little design quirks I think are cool lmao.
- Trojan is named after a "Trojan Horse Virus" a type of computer virus that disguises itself as a normal program.
- His name is also a reference to the Trojan Horse in Greek mythology. Within the story, not only was the Trojan Horse a smart plan, the monument itself was an alleged tribute to Athena, goddess of wisdom. Trojan is a very smart cookie so using my tism powers I named him after something connected to the goddess of wisdom essentially NSNDNND.
- Trojan's "strings" are less like strings and more like thick ribbons of green binary. Within the Antivoid, similar to Error, Trojan has a bunch of these ribbons hanging from the "ceiling". But unlike Error, written on these ribbons are the names and serial numbers of all the universes he's destroyed. It's his way of remembering them and memorializing them.
- The binary code surrounding him can spell out various small phrases or words relating to what he's feeling. Normally, they just spell out "Trojan". But as seen above in my paper sketches, they change periodically. The translations for the binary can be found underneath each sketch.
- Trojan's eyelights can change as well. They turn into 1s when he's surprised, angry, excited etc, and change to 0s when he's embarrassed, sad, worried, etc.
- When he's overwhelmed or confused, strings of binary cover his eyes.
If you have any questions about B-Side verse or the world itself, don't hesitate to send me an ask or a message!

Thinking about it. People have discussed to death and debated over whether Chara was ‘good’ or ‘evil’, and talked about their feelings on fandom’s early tendency to cast them as a villain. But now I’m wondering why a lot of fanworks cast them as a hyperactive little shit who swears a lot, gets mad easily, argues with everyone, and is sassy as hell.
Sassy and sarcastic I can see if you’re going by Narra Chara. But rude, hyperactive, yandere-esque, and especially the swear words... not so much?
And yeah, I could make arguments about how hiding their face paints a very shy and quiet image. But I’m not going to grasp at straws from still images. I’m going to use dialogue very few ‘Chara is evil’ believers are willing to argue DIDN’T come from them.
In No Mercy, which is the one route basically everyone agrees they narrate, they’re direct and to the point and usually distant and unemotional. They’re not yelling that you’re a fucking donkey for believing you’re above consequences and can take back control, or heartlessly ripping into the monsters for being so foolishly naive and weak, or gloating over their victory. They calmly explain who and what they are, and what they want. The few times they do insult you, they use sophisticated words like ‘perverse sentimentality’. When they dismiss the monsters they’ve met until now, they don’t go out of their way to be really cruel and insulting. They remain direct and to the point, and are usually cold and harsh statements of fact.
Toriel’s check in No Mercy is ‘Not worth talking to.’ They’re not wrong. In every other route, talking does nothing, only persistently sparing her lets you make progress.
Papyrus gets ‘Forgettable’. Again, they’re not wrong. Very few monsters really take notice of him, most only remembering him in relation to other people. As ‘Sans’ brother’ or ‘Undyne’s trainee’.
Monster Kid is just ‘in my way’. Cruel, but objectively not wrong. It’s less of a ponted insult, and more how little they think of them.
For Undyne, the narrator isn’t even particularly cold or disrespectful. In two out of three possible flavor texts, they refer to Undyne as ‘the heroine’. Quite a compliment, and one that isn’t wrong, considering how she’s standing up to a mass murderer and protects Monster Kid.
Mettaton, in No Mercy, gets similarly positive or neutral remarks. ‘Dr Alphys’ greatest invention’ and ‘Mettaton NEO blocks your way’. He sure is blocking your way. And most of the Underground sure does know him as Dr Alphys’ greatest invention. I guess it could be read as sarcastic, but with the tone of all these other bits of flavor text, it feels more like a neutral statement...?
And of course. Sans. He probably has the absolute biggest variety of No Mercy flavor text. ‘The easiest enemy’ could be read as insulting, but this is corrected to a more objective statement of encouragement. ‘He can’t keep dodging forever. Just keep attacking.’ Other bits of flavor text are objective assessments of how tired Sans is, how YOU feel, and how dwelling on the flavor text isn’t a great use of time. At no point do they call him smiley trashbag, that comedian, or...anything really insulting.
At no point do they call ANYONE anything especially insulting. They’re not like Flowey, calling everyone idiots. If anything, a villainous and murderous Chara comes off as more cold and distant. Even the Save Points don’t tell you ‘5 more idiot babies to slaughter’ or specifically demand that you finish everyone off before moving on. Until you reach Sans, Chara makes no effort to discourage or persuade you. They just state objectively ‘x left’ or ‘but nobody came’.
They just... don’t care. They don’t care about any of these people anymore, not even enough to waste energy on insulting them. All they care about is reaching ‘the end’. (Or one could argue they’re at least trying to act like they don’t care.)
Chara states that they were confused upon awakening and chose to follow your lead. Personally I’m inclined to believe that they’re not lying. They choose to follow our orders to the utmost, even when they do not understand those orders, even when those orders lead them to the edge of annihilation.
On a final note. It’s kinda sad how Chara’s systematic completionist mentality is cold and horrifying in No Mercy... but in the Winter Alarm Clock dialogue, it’s a funny anecdote of a more lighthearted time which both Asgore and Toriel remember fondly, and a behavior Asriel still continues to emulate even after he stops idolizing Chara.
Any trait, when taken to the extreme, can become nightmarish.

My favourite interpretation of Sans that I've never actually seen much is the idea that... Okay, he's pretty much given up on most things, like stopping the resets, going back home etc. but there's that TINY part of him that's just like, "nah, you haven't given up yet, have you?" And he's trying so hard to bury that part of him or ignore it cuz it scares him or something. Like, he just wants to relax! Stop giving him anxiety, tiny bit of hope! Eventually he can't ignore it anymore and...
Well, it can go in two or three ways.
The best possible outcome is to rekindle and nurture what's left of Sans' hope. We just gotta draw it out somehow. This is where the Pacifist Route comes in. Either that or the Family neutral ending, where we spare and befriend everyone but we don't enter Alphys' lab. I guess that throughout the Pacifist Route, we do all that sparing and befriending jazz, and from a monster's perspective, it's purely inspirational, especially after a long history of hostility between the two races. Can you imagine the kind of effect our kindness could have on the almost hopeless? On someone like Sans, who firmly believes that he's given up on everything, but there's still that tiny part of him that wants to hold on, to continue? Sans' hope seems to be a fragile little thing that needs a lot of care in order to blossom. And with the Pacifist Route, we have the opportunity to do that.
Of course, there's also the option to destroy the little bit of hope Sans has left with some of the more gruesome Neutral Routes, especially ones where we kill Papyrus. Like the Leaderless ending, for instance. Here, Sans has fallen completely into despair. He's shown signs of bitterness and coldness, which isn't completely foreign to him, but it's heartbreaking for that to come from such a warm-hearted character. He's completely given up here. Brought to the absolute brink of despair from our actions.
Now, the Genocide Route is a... unique case. It's kind of a mixture of both? We put everyone through the wringer, causing as much pain as possible. We kill Sans' friends and the last remaining family he has. Surely he has fallen into despair. But then there's that funny thing he does where he fights us at the end, hoping that it would get us to go back and fix everything. Oddly enough, he seems to have fallen into despair and gained hope at the same time? It's almost like, what's the word...? Oh yeah. Desperation. It's not just about trying to stop us from destroying the world, it's not just about fixing everything and bringing back his brother, but it's also about holding onto that little spark inside of him. With this interpretation, he may be scared of hoping, but he's also scared to lose that last remaining bit of hope he has left. That could be one factor in why Sans even bothers to fight us at all. His hope, it's fragile, it's scary, but it's also important.
Honestly, I kind of see Sans as a sort of wounded optimist. Like, when despair hits, it hits HARD. And I'm guessing this is because he used to be such a big, genuine optimist before. I mean, come on! If you believe in the theory that Sans raised Papyrus, then where do you think Papyrus got it from? Sans strikes me as a guy who's desperately trying to see the good in everything. Even in the Genocide Route, he does this. Not only with the sparing trick, but there's a few points before you fight kill Papyrus where Sans tries to see the positive. For example, if you check the crossword and not skip it, he says that you can't be all bad if you like crosswords. Sweetie, no...
Sans is a strange guy. It's like he's constantly toeing the line between hope and despair, and even he doesn't know which side to go on. On one hand, hope is terrifying. It's easier to expect the worst than to hope for the best and end up feeling disappointed. But on the other hand, he needs that buried optimism. He has to find reasons to keep going, to move forward, to persevere. It's heartbreaking. He comes off as such a positive person, always smiling and joking around, wanting to make his friends happy (and I'm almost certain his goofiness isn't a complete facade, either, but that's a post for another time), so it hurts even more that someone like that is struggling so much.
Anyway, this was supposed to be a post about an interpretation of Sans that I like, but it ended up becoming some sort of analysis. Oh, well. I guess I'll just end it here.

Thanks to Gerdew on Twitter for making this commission for me! I dub this The Premise as this is the general premise of my AU Lofitale!
It truly was a bit of a shock when I gained my soul back and properly met my brother for the first time. It wasn't sprung on me quite like this but meeting Ralsei was still quite a shock. I never had any siblings except for Chara and I guess Frisk and Suzy now, but Ralsei is the one that I can say is related to me by blood. It's different.
When Frisk took my hand and escorted me through the Underground from that patch of flowers, I could feel myself come back. All of my memories and emotions came flooding back. That Flower no longer had a hold on me. He would always be there, but hopefully, with my family's help, Flowey will never resurface again.
As Frisk guided me towards the barrier, I could feel every piece of all seven souls fusing together to form my new one. It had a strange effect on my body. Quickly in a moment, as I reached the Judgement Hall, the years caught up with me. Gone was the scared, timid eight-year-old. Standing before Frisk was the lean, lanky teenager you see in the image above.
I was a little scared but, my new best friend Frisk assured me that everything would be ok. Down the dank hallways, up the narrow staircases, and across the brightly lit throne room we moved through. The place I once called home.
The courtyard where Frisk and I began our final battle was still there as if nothing happened. I gazed down upon the golden bed of flowers where I collapsed into dust on that fateful day. Wondering how different everyone's life might have been if I had refused to indulge in Chara's plan. All I could do now was step forward with my new family and brace for whatever the future would bring.
The sunset lit up the final passageway where the Barrier once had been. It was blinding. When my vision adjusted...there they all were. Standing just outside the mountain. Finally breathing the free air of the Surface. Mom, Dad, those Skeletons, Alphys, and Undyne standing there in a line. And next to Mom was...him.
His tiny white form made me choke up tears of joy for the first time in centuries. But my legs wouldn't move. A million voices in my head were screaming that I still didn't deserve this. Satisfaction, Happiness, Love. Everything that good people deserved. Things I felt like I shouldn't have. I was feeling lightheaded from how many emotions were overwhelming me.
Frisk, that wonderful, strange, impossible, determined kid just sighed and took my hand. Leading the way like he always did. It was a surreal feeling, having something or someone shorter than me, dragging me along. As we stepped into the light, however, I was focused on only one thing. All of those eyes suddenly turned to look at us.
It took them a few seconds to process what and who they were looking at, and an eternity longer to accept that it was real.
The reunion was tearful and joyous to say the least. Perhaps I will go into further detail in a future commission. They had no questions and needed none. Sans and I knew we would have to set aside time to talk later, but he was ok with what was happening.
That little boy, my brother, born in the darkness of the Ruins approached me. I knelt down to let him touch my face as we met properly for the first time.
"Howdy...Ralsei. I know this all may be strange for you. But I wanted to meet you. I'm Asriel. Your big brother."
Ralsei was silent for a moment but then beamed brighter than the sunset.
"I was wondering when you were gonna come back! It's wonderful to meet you, big brother!"
After that well, perhaps I'll get into another time. As the story of how Frisk reintroduced Monsterkind and met Clover's own Monster family are two big stories in of themselves.

I confess that I sometimes struggle to visualize Max in fics as a overly "manly man" (or alphy alpha ? ) like not to be dismissive at all of his gender but more like I dont see him caring about the the typical 'male stuff', that men need to 'do and show' in order to prove that they are, in fact, a man. Maybe because I reject exaggerated masculinity (and the concept of 'boys will be boys' that many times is used to justify masculine stupidity and is many times represented alongside macho attiudes) and therefore I dont like projecting that onto characters I like. Or maybe is just because I'm a lesbian, who knows
THAT BEING SAID, that chopping wood scene ? Oh, I see it now, I see the vision, is so clear, as daylight. The narration there was exceptional, and maybe there was more than just visuals?. He was being an alpha there, a 'man', in every positive aspect that can be associated to that concept. And not because only men (or alphas in this context) are able to chop wood (I'm a fucking girly girl and I chop wood almost daily. Though I admit I buy it already chopped, just chop the ones that came too big for my tiny salamander).
And yeah, I know Jean Luc and Alecsy are not alpha, but they do still represent the "big bad wolve" archetype, popularly associated with alphas/manly man
Maybe I'm over analyzing like a high school english teacher, and you just wanted to gift us the visual of a hot alpha Maxie chopping wood for his girls. Still, I feel like, intentional or not, there was something a little meta about that scene.
Whatever it was, that scene was a masterclass. Chef kiss 💋
tbh irl Max is such an interesting dichotomy because on the one hand you could argue that his racing displays stereotypical male attributes ("aggressive" "confident" "takes what he wants" etc), but then his off track personality is very ... sweet. he's laid back, always down for a laugh, constantly wants to chill with a kebab and his cats.
so it doesn't surprise me that you often struggle to visualise Max as this hardcore "manly man"!
now, as for why I did it. my aim wasn't to be meta, but it WAS for him to make himself feel useful. productive. like he's taking care of people. so I guess in a sense, it was to fit him into an "alpha role"? but not to prove he's a "man", more to make him feel like he's ... helpful. a value add.
does that make sense?

Ranking the Flowey "Specimen" Fights
Tumblr media
First of all, let me just say that I have no explanation of where these ideas came from or why the tracks for each phase of the Flowey fight are called "specimen." I know the whole thing is meant to parallel the SOULs in UT OG, but where did Flowey get some of these ideas? As for the term "specimen," I've seen the theory that Alphys was injecting various materials with DT, and Flowey was imagining if they had come to life like he did. Makes as much sense as anything I could have come up with.
Ratings are on a scale of 1-6. Fights are listed in no particular order. And for the record, I already know my opinions differ from those of the larger population.
Paper
Tumblr media
Not super-creepy, not tough to fight, not a lot of lore, and the music's actually kinda chill. I feel like the music only feels so creepy because of the context. Really, the scariest thing in this fight is... that face....
Music: 4 Battle difficulty: 2 Creepiness: 2 Lore implications: 2
Clay
Tumblr media
Call my crazy, but I swear I see Prunsel and hear Jevil in this one. Otherwise, it's just weird and a little difficult.
Music: 2 Battle difficulty: 5 Creepiness: 4 Lore implications: 3
Polygonal
Tumblr media
HANDS. DOWN. THE. WORST. One Flowey face is bad enough, but him summoning multiple versions of himself? Which are blood red and always swipe at you at the worst possible moment? I LOATHE this one. Plus, it's the UT-verse version of "scary beyond all reason." Even more than any Fell that I've seen. The music is probably the least scary thing about this fight, and even that gives me BOTW blood moon vibes.
Also, gotta wonder why Alphys would have labelled this one "polygonal." The heck was she experimenting on? A snowdecahedron?
Music: 3 Battle difficulty: 6 Creepiness: 6 Lore Implications: 1 (it's just all Flowey)
Patchworked
Tumblr media
Did Flowey watch Coraline or something??? And the music- it's like a mashup of Your Best Friend and The Circus.
The most intriguing thing is the use of the finger guns, which, of course, we can recognize from Omega Flowey's fight. The question then becomes: did Flowey get the finger gun idea FROM Clover and Star? Especially since he shoots nails, which... I get the pun, "finger" + "nail," but nails also have the highest attack of any ammo other than friendliness pellets.
Music: 1 Battle difficulty: 4 Creepiness: 3 Lore implications: 5
Mechanical
Tumblr media
Dude, check it out, the Floweynator.
A little difficult, not too bad. Not really too creepy, unless you stare too hard at Machine Gun Flowey's face. It is interesting to think that Alphys was experimenting on machinery with DT. Because, you know, she built Mettaton by sticking a SOUL in a robot.
Also, I've seen the theory that Flowey learned about nuclear bombs and things like that from Chara, so he probably learned about machine guns and hovering drones and things from Chara, too.
Music: 5 Battle difficulty: 3 Creepiness: 1 Lore implications: 4
Organic
Tumblr media
I think this is my favorite, actually. Yeah. I'm being totally unironic.
Honestly, it's just creepy. First of all, how does Flowey, a monster who has presumably never seen the surface, know so much about blood? Possibly from Chara, but I have trouble believing that a kid could have told him that much about how the human body works (then again, we are talking about Chara...). Not to mention Flowey getting the heart monitor sound right, that would be very difficult from just a description.
The most obvious solution (to me, anyway) is that Alphys was using an organic lifeform for testing. Since she said she wanted to test a subject that didn't have a SOUL, and we know from Dina that there are non-sentient animals in the Underground that are either kept as pets or used for food, the most likely answer is that Alphys was using a snake or bird or something.
But consider...
What if Alphys was using a human body, or at least samples from a human body, as the "organic" subject??? Technically, the human wouldn't have a SOUL anymore, because their SOUL is already in a glass case behind Asgore's throne room.
Music: 6 (I know most people think it's boring, but I think the heart monitor just adds to the creepiness) Battle difficulty: 1 (not difficult at all to dodge) Creepiness: 5 Lore implications: 6
