I love how tgaa1 it ends with Ryunosuke being all like ‘wow I love my friends!’ While Iris is slowly pushing the agenda that he’s part of her family actually, and then at the end of Tgaa2 he’s like ‘wow I love my family!’
Wow I love character development and platonic relationship growth

As the Church shrank, dirtied by the ash and smoke of a pope's carbonized corpse and the negligence of its God, the OCS gathered. Headless though the institution was, Mother Superion would have it wield a sword still.
Weapons. Drills. Strategy. Work was endless.
Some new recruits gawked at the ArqTech owner walking amongst them from time to time, hovering by Superion's side. Camila snapped them back into attention — posture! A jab, a hold, a kick were more becoming than gossip.
But there was hardly any of that. There was no time, they witnessed no touches; the two women supervised, commanded, left.
Only when the day was done, with limbs heavy and eyes closed, did work allow for play: timid and tender, when all others were too tired to notice.
A look, a smirk, a caress — exhaustion made them chaste. With holy war on the horizon, carnal thoughts translated into candid touches and luminous kisses against the weight of coming darkness. All else was serious enough, so Mother Superion and Jillian Salvius exchanged no vows and said naught of love.
Warmth sufficed, closeness — the demons would come and lives would fade, so they took humble rewards in those hopeful shadows.

I was wondering why I tend to more enjoy shoujo that predate the 2000s than contemporary stuff and at first thought it was history leaving the stronger works of past decades easier to find, but turns out there could be more than bias at play
Turns out there has been a censorship law since 2006 specifically targeting shoujo manga around sexuality. And suddenly the fact that shounen can get away with some much more content-wise than shoujo suddenly makes sense

So not sure if it was asked before (my apologies if so) but after rereading Faking it I’ve been wondering if what happened to Ford would have happened to Dipper if they were to switch places. Like you mentioned in the fic how Dipper realizes that the main advantage he had and the reason he wasn’t tricked by Bill is that he, as opposed to Ford, knew that Bill was a demon from the beginning. So my question is would Dipper be able to see through the flattery and lies quickly enough on his own or it would be a case of pure luck as it was with Stanford?
This hasn't been asked before, and it's a nice question!
Ford and Dipper are both intelligent. They're both ambitious and clever! But Ford's... a little more full of himself, and less emotionally intelligent. He saw Bill's arrival into his life, took his pleasant polite demeanor at face value, coveted the power and intelligence and thought: Great! This is amazing! With this creature working by my side, I can do amazing things!
Dipper in the same situation would think: Great! This is amazing! ....wait a minute. 'Great' stuff never happens out of nowhere, or at least not for free. What's the catch?
Where Ford's ambition shows him vast opportunity, Dipper's cynical nature outlines all the possible traps. Even if there aren't any there! He'd be much more of a skeptic when it came to great stuff just. Being handed to him.
Overall, Bill could have fooled Dipper - but he would've had a harder time of it.

The githyanki are the absolute worst. I don't know why, but every time I end up fighting them it's ten times worse than any other fight I have.
Just... they're so mobile. They can heal. They immediately and enthusiastically go after the weakest members of the party. They attack far too many times.
I'm on Explorer mode and all the other encounters mostly live up to that. But the bloody githyanki. Every damn time.
Although I have them to thank for hearing the 'Gale! No!' line from my Tav... multiple times. Man was practically a yo-yo in that fight.

re: udg reblog,
clearly the solution to “oh i love this but i don’t think anyone should play it” is to write a fic with only the good parts and none of the bad parts but then you have this big empty space where the bad parts were so you just make something up that seems vaguely believable
that seems like a normal thing normal people do right?
RIGHT?
It’s always correct and totally won’t ever lead to agony as you look at the canon and scream because my god how are you supposed to salvage something this stupid why are you doing this you used to be so normal and not care oh god why does attacking the little girl make her pants fly off oh god why is delta a character
