a few things.

1) If your Durge is a lesbian, then don't ship her with Gortash.

easy as that. nowhere in the goddamn game does it force you to make out with him. it's entirely up to you what you imagine your Durge doing. in fact durgetash is so obscure, you can miss it entirely.

2) You canNOT tell me that durgetash fans are hounding you and telling you your lesbian Durge is legally obligated to marry Enver Gortash.

no one on the planet cares about your oc more than theirs. they're out here shipping their GAY Durges with Gortash. world doesn't revolve around your character, I'm so sorry to tell you. other people made their own characters to fuck Gortash with.

please try not to faint or vomit as you remember that other people play baldurs gate 3 other than you.

3) Stop pretending/implying that people who like Gortash are morally bad people. You just don't like the ship or Gortash. and that's fine.

literally 99% of the fandom agrees with you.

the straight male audience which makes up most of the BG3 fandom totally agrees with you. go be friends with them.

Hello! I have not posted a search for the LONGEST time but I have had an itching to add some new roleplays as of late. I am a 25 year old female from the UK and I am looking to write with people who are 21+ though 18+ is okay.

I can write anything from semi-literate (2-3 paragraphs) to novella (10+ paragraphs) but I am always a quality>quantity type of girl! I love making friends OOC and I try to be as communicative about my schedule as possible and similarly, I am super patient - the worst you'll get is an activity check after 6-8 weeks from me.

I write via Discord as I prefer the server option but I may be swayed to stay on Tumblr. I can write as both male and female and enjoy doubling especially in canon/OC pairings. I would prefer my side to be mxf however I am happy to write anything for your side!

Let's see if I can get this done before midnight - I have 36 minutes! But I really wanted to get this posted, so... time for a speedrun! This post won't nearly be able to say everything I wanna say, so, first and foremost: I love and appreciate all of my mutuals and people I've gotten to talk to this year, so thanks for coming to my corner of the internet and gifting me a little (or a lot - because lord knows I don't shut up if someone mentions one of my favourite fandoms) of your time!

blah blah blah top/bottom is reductive and real people don't fit into such strict yadda yadda rehash of ye olde seme/uke discourse from the naughts anime fandom. anyway saren is a bottom who pretends to be a top for his own sanity because he's already so small and fragile he's regularly mistaken for a child and his friends are feral fucking animals. he's the ringleader of the trio he has to maintain dominance somehow. unfortunately for him both of his fellow coyotes love scrapping for dominance and both of them discover he's really into getting knocked down and made to beg and he's never allowed to live it down ever

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

why do you all want to put garrus and/or shepard in the council seats. or primarch garrus along the same lines. putting any of the squadmates in high authority actually. none of them is suited to politics and the vast majority of them directly state "i hate politics i do not want to be in charge i want to go home and retire and not be bothered for 50 years" especially garrus since i specified him. yeah ik putting shepard there is usually a "lol fuck the council imma wreck shit" thing because for a fandom of mostly 25+yos everyone here is incredibly childish but there also is just a lot of people who seem to genuinely think garrus/shepard/tali/kaidan/etc are the actual best choice for being in charge. none of you know anything about civics and that is why your xenopolitics takes are all completely rancid prelude to war speedruns

i have no shame i like what i like, this is already niche central already fuck it no gods no masters.

if i MUST say something. i suppose given [gestures vaguely to entire internet presence] there's probably something to be said for how i also enjoy dabbling in aus or simply "yeah teia's chill with sharing as long as she's still top dog" screwing around with pairing sparky with other characters, specifically his fellow old turians in authority. sparatus/quentius is a perennial favorite and is sneaking its way into a spirian + quentilea (ierian/teia + quentius/nautilea) platonic polypile with benefits all 4 of them just because i love sparky and quenty's dynamic with each other as boss and dragon flipping to besties outside work. sparatus/corinthus i also sometimes entertain. and ofc sparatus/desolas which i still have an ask for somewhere in the hellscape of my unanswered ask backlog and lives rent-free in my head. i just think sparky has potential to have some fun and interesting dynamics with a lot of his fellow Old Turians In Authority it's not a crime to have a canon/oc ship but also dabble on the side

Hello! I have not posted a search for the LONGEST time but I have had an itching to add some new roleplays as of late. I am a 25 year old female from the UK and I am looking to write with people who are 21+ though 18+ is okay.

I can write anything from semi-literate (2-3 paragraphs) to novella (10+ paragraphs) but I am always a quality>quantity type of girl! I love making friends OOC and I try to be as communicative about my schedule as possible and similarly, I am super patient - the worst you'll get is an activity check after 6-8 weeks from me.

I write via Discord as I prefer the server option but I may be swayed to stay on Tumblr. I can write as both male and female and enjoy doubling especially in canon/OC pairings. I would prefer my side to be mxf however I am happy to write anything for your side!

I am open to NSFW however I do not want it to be the entire plot - I do enjoy story too. We can discuss our limits and I will respect yours (as I hope you will respect mine).

19. What are some things that inspired your stories? Real events? Maybe a dream?

Would you believe me if I told you Beast was inspired from a sports anime. Would you.

Okay so story time: when I was hyperfixating on said sports anime around the end of 2021 I somehow discovered that the author had once drawn a silly fake poster for a fantasy au. Of course this was what my brain latched onto and then I desperately rifled through ao3 for fic but most of them were oneshots and none had the specific concept I wanted. So for a while I played with the idea of writing one myself.

That idea promptly ran away from me, combined with another au idea, stole more characters from other anime, two from a game, made them all ooc and created several ocs for good measure. By the time I was chatting with my friends about it I knew I was done for. And here I am, nearly two years later, trying to wrestle the first draft of the second book into shape. For a five-book series.

26. What are your favourite books?

Okay honestly I have no idea because I have read a lot of books and I don't tend to hyperfixate as strongly on them as I do on manga, but!! I will say PJO was my entire childhood, and I think the fandom I got most into for a book series recently was the Grishaverse series. For a while I was obsessed with a really niche book series called Rebel Skies (though it's still unfinished), and as for standalone books, Alice Oseman's Loveless and Anthony Doerr's Cloud Cuckoo Land were literally life-changing. The Pokemon fandom is ridiculously huge, and it often takes years for people to fall into niche circles and for those fans to start posting on their blogs, until then one is left poking around dead blogs trying to poke some life back into them bc at one point the OP cared about this topic and turns out, they still do! They just gave up from the silence of the void. It's also majorly teenagers everywhere. Very talented artists, great ideas, but Dear Lord Are They Opinionated. And nobody wants to feel shamed by a bunch of teenagers bc they're VERY strict on how someone should read characters and their relationships or darker topics/the villains/taxes (which are literally IN the game and spin-off series themselves) I mentioned taxes there bc I for the life of me cannot find that post talking about the men in black suit trying to collect taxes in ORAS. (I love ORAS it's so fun there is SO much going on. I'm very insane about Pokemon Lore across the first 3 Gen they're my playground. It all connects together, ALL OF IT. NPC dialogue my beloved.) All this to say, I am very happy to see someone just doing their thing online. I literally could care less what someone does but some people will burn you at the stake over it. Sending a bouquet of flowers to you and all your awesome mutuals. You've got an ally and future fan of your AU here for sure.

This unfortunately has been an ongoing issue, and not just in the Pokémon fandom either.

Many artists and writers have stated they practically have to beg for positive feedback on the works they've poured all their passion into, and more people have become entirely too comfortable being entitled and rude to creators.

I write the stories I want to read first and foremost, I am my target audience, but it truly can be disheartening when you've poured a countless amount of time and effort into an idea, and then receive either silence (likes are silence) or hatred.

And it is my deepest regret to inform you that it isn't just teenagers who are behaving this way.

I received harassment not long ago from someone in their twenties for shipping Volo with an aged up Akari. They demanded I pair him with a reader insert or OC instead, as though the protagonists aren't essentially player inserts or OCs with a preset design.

I refused to entertain their nonsense, they threw an even bigger tantrum in response, then I blocked them and happily continued to post about Wieldershipping.

On a lighter note, I was just speaking to a friend of mine the other day about Hikari/Akari being an adult woman in Sisterhood ("She does her Pokémon taxes"), and then we were saying how terrible it would be if not even the world of Pokémon were free from taxes.

It's been a few years since I've played ORAS, so the men in black demanding tax money slipped my mind. Now that it's been mentioned though, I have a vague memory of it being rent money they were trying to collect instead?

8.) what inspired your world building, if anything?

Okay so I KNOW this does exist, but I was just kinda thinking... why does so much fantasy either take place in Medieval England (Europe) Lite (but not even a very historically-accurate version of it) OR Just The Modern Day But There's Magic? Like there's SO many time periods I'd love to see covered in a fantasy-verse that are criminally underused. Even medieval-based ones are less Truly inspired by the middle ages and are more just direct ripoffs of Tolkien.

In any case, I picked the (19)20s although I've been debating whether it's really the right way to go. It's definitely going to be US-centric just cause... well, I'm from there. I thought for a ghost story too, the culture of the 20s where they're recovering from a world war and massive epidemic and still spiraling into even worse events to come would be kind of on the nose. I guess it hits home a bit with the modern day, too.

It's not intended to be a bleak story, though. Just a little dark.

DIFFICULT it changes? I usually say Faith, she became the protagonist after being cast as the antagonist in the last variation for a reason - I just love her a lot.

But Davy grows on me sometimes. He's probably the closest one I have to a self-insert which means sometimes I don't especially like him because we're just too similar, but he's got Vibes. Occasionally he overthrows Faith in my brain for Favorite.

16.) imagine the entire story takes place but in the meantime the characters all also have tumblr. what kind of (terrible) tumblr posts would happen?

Faith is DESPERATELY trying to Do Numbers as a Tumblr Funnyman and it isn't working. Every carefully-crafted shitpost she makes gets 10 notes or less. She doesn't seem to realize that there's no prize for getting famous on here and it's in fact a hindrance.

Davy has a main blog but he doesn't post and gets reported as a bot a lot. He also has a sideblog he runs where he posts as Smudge and it has 50k followers

Lilah has a decent if somewhat niche following and does mostly music recs, songs she's working on, life advice, and aesthetic photos. She has a few fandom blogs as well and has to be careful not to post on main cause it'd be embrassing.

Sam is dead and posts glitchy illegible posts into the void. His blog cannot be followed, but the posts will show up on your dash anyway, somehow. None of them have visible notes.

25. best scene you havent yet written, but have an idea for?

Faith and Davy re(?)union at the beginning hell yeah! I have two separate ideas depending on whether to make them Childhood Friends (the standard) or strangers (new idea, playing around with it)

About me:

I'd consider myself to be literate to novella lengthwise. Ultimately, I believe in quality over quantity. With that in mind, I do frequently break the discord character limit, and I'd ask that you can roughly match length when possible.

I've been writing for most of my life and I'd like to think I have good grammar, but of course sometimes issues slip through. I write almost exclusively in third person. It's just what I'm comfortable doing.

I prefer fandom stuff, and MxM ships are the ones I'm generally most comfortable writing. OC's aren't entirely off the table, but I'm not really crazy about OC x Canon. If we did do OC's I'd prefer it if they were either in specific fandoms (like the hunger games) or if we did a fandom roleplay first so we can get a bit more comfortable with each other.

I have essentially nothing going on right now, so responses from me are usually pretty frequent. I am very talkative, and ooc chat is something I love to keep up with :) we're roleplaying and I also want to be your friend! If you can't tell, I have a lot to say, ahaha.

I enjoy romance and I'd prefer romance based roleplays save for a few fandoms. It's just what I'm most comfortable with writing. I'm asexual, but I am OK with nsfw and enjoy writing it on occasion, as long as there's some build up to it/we're both comfortable writing together/etc etc. boundaries can definitely be discussed in dms!
