i think one of my favorite things about the loustat reunion (apart from my being a loustat shipper) is something that i believe jacob himself touched on: after all of the horror that we saw, the message it carries is so incredibly optimistic. in a gothic story about undead monsters who survive on the death of others, we are given the possibility of growth and change. we may not have as long as they do but just like lestat and louis we have the opportunity to become better versions of ourselves until the very day that we die. just as they do we have the ability to learn until our last breath. we don't always have to forgive each other the way they did but we can always move on. every one of us. and that makes me feel just a little bit better about myself.

You might be right. I have no idea what the future has in store or if I'll come to regret it. But I've already stated my reasons. As it stands, with the year-long process we've already started and that we can't just flip on a dime overnight, my partner can't come and stay in Europe legally just like that. Legal immigration is not that easy in one way or the other. Also... Yeah, I've stated that before, but one shouldn't underestimate how shitty things have been getting in Europe for the past few years as well, and how the influence of the US (which is huge) is likely to make things worse. So again I'm not 100% sure whether that'd have been better anyway.

Also also... Ima be real, I've shared that before, but the time where I was separated from my partner due to the travel ban was the only time in my life where I had actual suicidal ideation. I don't want this to happen again. That's why I'm making moves so it doesn't, first and foremost.

I cannot stop thinking about this story and the effects it probably had on him honestly. Do you think it's made him nervous in crowds, do you think it made him trust others just that bit less. Just the concept itself! I don't know about you guys but being attacked and grabbed and trampled into unconsciousness sounds absolutely terrifying! Did he black out, still getting hit, thinking he was going to die? Knowing he couldn't defend himself as his injuries to took their toll? At their complete mercy?
