a/n: this made me feel nostalgic and pretty sad to write imo.

How you met/first impressions:

You met each other through your brother, Tooru. Tooru was snarky and keen on keeping his best friend to himself but you were even more petty. When Tooru was distracted on trying to set a ball, you would quickly grab Hajime by the wrist and drag him to your hiding place. Occasionally, it would change because your brother would somehow find it.. always.

To Hajime, you had to be one of the prettiest girls he's ever seen in all of his six years of living. You.. also became his first heartbreak. He proposed to you with a ring pop and you refused. "Pee-yew! I don't wanna marry you, Iwa!" He was left super dejected and sulked until Tooru was forced to distract him to get his mind off things. Ever since then, he was always teasing you and making smart ass remarks at you.

He was a odd boy. What made you like and wanna hang around him like Tooru does was that Hajime was adventurous. He seemed strong too. And you wanted two boys to look up to anyways to treat you like queen so you tried your best to boss both Tooru and Hajime around. You entirely started to acknowledge Hajime when he comforted you after Tooru hit you in the head with a volleyball.

How you start to like each other:

Hajime has always liked you since you were little kids. Obviously. But he made sure it wasn't obvious to you or that you were merely someone he stole answers from for science class. Someone who was just his best friend's twin sister. It wasn't like he was gonna stay like this forever... He just didn't know how to approach you. And he has his doubts. He's basically like Paxton Hall Yoshida only that he didn't sleep around and he wasn't that dumb... He just sucked at science. So he goes to you but he makes fun of you for it.

You realize when some random jock drops all the books in your hands on purpose, laughing and high-fiving with his friends. "stupid- STUPID SHITFACE!" Your shout literally reaches everyone's ears. Including Hajime's.

For some reason, the jock gets offended and goes up to you, chest to chest. Except his chest was much larger and higher than yours. "The fuck d'you say?" You nearly recoil when you feel his hot breath hit your face. "I said-" "betta' keep that mouth shut, sweetheart," he cuts you off immediately, wincing when he shoves you against the lockers. People are already crowding and pulling out their phones. Great. But before anything else happens, the jock is roughly jerked back and lands on his butt. And there stands your prince Charming, Hajime Iwaizumi. You notice that his ears are red. Steams were also practically steaming out of his ears. He stomps his way over to the jock that stood up with a small stutter. "Better keep that mouth shut, hm?" Hajime stares the jock down. Clearly, the boy wasn't going to back down so he scoffs, rolling his sleeves up. The jock's eyes quickly widen and murmur a 'my bad ' and takes his leave along with his friends, a few applauses and cat calls being earned from the crowd.

"You okay?" Hajime barely grasps your fingertips in his, looking at you with concern. Your heart was quite literally about to explode over what just occurred.

How you confess:

The tension was awfully SO obvious.. Matsukawa was frantically complaining about the faint flirting and playful teases. But neither you or Hajime did or said nothing. Matsukawa basically face plants at that but he sorts out a plan with Hanamaki and Tooru. Tooru was almost against it but he did have to admit, he literally knew everything about how the two of you felt. And it was painful to watch you and Hajime, it cringed him out LIKE JUST GET TOGETHER ALREADY!!

Tooru had sent you a text that he was already home. So it was just you and Hajime. You both left the school in silence. Started walking in silence. Entering your neighborhood in silence. Before you thought another moment was gonna be filled in silence, he tugs you by the wrist. He confesses and pours out everything he knows and feels about you. How long, when, where, etc. You confess too, a smile adorning your face when he looks away all flustered. You kissed him on the cheek before you went in your house, leaving him alone with a hand on his cheek and a slack jaw.

How you get together:

He was waiting for you outside the door after your club meeting ended. He seemed nervous but you knew what he was trying to get at. So you simply do the job for him. "Wanna be my boyfriend?" He gives you that signature head scratching smile, giving you a nod. You both walk home together that late afternoon, holding hands the whole way.

How you kiss:

They're very sweet and slow. Hajime respects you enough to not over step your boundaries unless you ask of him. He gets very wary when you do. "Are you sure? Are you reaallly sure? I don't know.. Suure? Okay, okay- fine, c'mere."

Sometimes things get heated. The way his tongue glides over yours seems like they almost suggest something. You would smirk against his lips and push yourself on top of him to get him flustered on purpose. Or you would... at least try to pin him against a wall. "(Y-Y/N).. We- we can't yet.. not yet.." This would get you very pouty but he kisses you through it and holds you so you don't catch a fit.

What he loves about you (Adults) :

He loves that you stayed through all this time. He's known you about twenty one years and you both have dated each other for nine years. Obviously when it becomes your tenth anniversary, he's gonna propose.. He just doesn't know how... And he seriously did not mean to wait that long..

He loves to kiss your pulses and your eyelids. He thinks those are really intimate to do and he just really loves that you're alive and breathing.

He loves when wrinkles start to spawn whenever you concentrate. It makes him think he'll grow old with you.

When you're married: he loves it when you cling onto him for life on your honeymoon, screaming his name when you're bouncing on his shaft. 'Give me your babies' you chant. It makes him giggle at the thought.

Awkward discussion with your kids:

One of your kids get a unusual.. and awfully weird offer. Luckily, they came to you both about it for advice and for curiosity. "Why do people have sex?"

Honestly, it was like you were ready for this question but you were unprepared. You knew how high school could be very.. Ratchet. Especially with all the drama, sex, hormones... You were sure things were worse for their generation. But you thoroughly explain and answer with all you can to your child's questions, trying not to cringe halfway.

Your husband was NOT prepared at all. He wasn't ready. He wasn't even really expecting this conversation until LATER. man, he thinks. 'Their generation would really bring us all down.' He stays and tries to answer though.. It's mainly just you talking and you seem completely fine and cool with it which he doesn't understand at all.

After an argument:

Usually, a child sulks and becomes completely depressed when their parents fight but oh no, not your child. Your child absolutely loves to step in between you and Hajime's arguments. Your child was basically the anchor, almost. Keeping you two steady.

Hajime would realize his mistakes and so would you. So you both make up to each other and show each other your love, hugging each other and never letting go, falling asleep in each other's arms once you do.

Who gets Dementia?

You, you do.

It's a sad thing, really. Old age was really hitting you both, you especially. It saddened you both but you both knew it would be okay all as long he was next to you and you were next to him.

It would hurt Hajime whenever you would forget his name and slowly how he looks like. But he never gave up, nor did he ever pressure you into trying to figure out who he was. That's also how you knew that man was someone you loved. Every time you would remember though, everything suddenly became waterworks. You would cry about being young again and experiencing so many things with each other without a problem in the world.

Last moments?

"Hajime?" You murmur, reaching out for his wrinkled hand. He turns to look at you, eyes glossy and sullen looking because of his droopy skin. He rubs his thumb across your hand, kissing your knuckles. "You're beautiful."

You smile warmly, closing your eyes just as you tell him so, "take me to the moon."

Fun Fact:

As young adults, Hajime was suffering without you in California. He immediately made sure you never left his sight when he went back to Japan.

At the ages of 6, Hajime had nursed your scraped knee. When he gave you a Disney Princess band-aid, you kissed his cheek politely and he happily accepted it.

Leak night and A Little Rant: Soulless ending for a Hero Journey (MHA 430 Spoilers)

Horikoshi now I understand why you were afraid that your manga would be cancelled, because you don't deserve that position

Seriously, there are so many things wrong here, not only because you contradicted yourself from the previous chapter and doubled down on making us ignore it completely, but you expect me to feel like this ending is worthy of being called bittersweet when it doesn't qualify as an ending to any of the plots presented.

Midoriya Izuku, someone who at the time I saw the potential to be a Superman, a Spiderman, a genuine hero reduced to a teacher with the same expressionless image for 8 years before being given a suit to be a hero (Which he didn't need because Midoriya's strength without the OFA is already superhuman)

No, I'm not going to start the Rant like this, sorry, but I'm seriously upset with the insult that this chapter has become.

The Chapter

Chronologically, the chapter tells us that time passed normally at the academy before the war, Bakugo adapted to being ambidextrous, Gran Torino seems to have recovered although he probably died at most a year later, Tokoyami and Hawks talking, Aizawa and Mic in the cemetery (unfortunately Aizawa is still alive), the League of Villains book is on sale and several other things.

And then...

“I was able to live a dream that should have been impossible. The story that began when my body moved before I could even think has come to an end alongside the embers of One For All”.

Midoriya loses the last embers of One For All during the last days of the academy as indicated in the full panel, so it seems that he did not become a hero with his classmates.

8 years after graduation, the perspective changes to Dai, this young man who appeared at the beginning of the final war arc. And we have mentions of La Brava (who has her own IT company and is married to Gentle), Doctor Yoshida (the doctor Yoshi) and Hatsume (who seems to have a very renowned Laboratory)

Dai is being bullied for his quirk, and one of his classmates says that now that the number of heroes has stabilized, only the strongest quirks will have a chance in the academies.

Dai says that unlike the others, he did not change, he feels like a child for wanting to be like All Might, Endeavor, Jeanist, Deku or Dynamight, and his insecurity guides him to the Statue of All Might.

There is another scene change that shows us more of the students of class A

Shoji receives an award for resolving prejudiced conflicts in a peaceful manner, and he thanks all the heteromorphs who went to the hospital 8 years ago and who are only there thanks to their will.

Uravity, Ingenium, Froppy and Creati are now a team of heroes (possibly oriented to everyday and rescue situations) who go around the country's schools explaining a new and important aspect of society: the expansion of quirk counseling.

And Eri attends a music club with friends from her school.

Aizawa talks to Midoriya and shows him a video of Bakugo yelling at a civilian for filming him too closely, and points out that this will cause Bakugo to fall in the Ranking and Todoroki to rise (we are told that Shoto works day and night, yet he is still kind to his fans and people)

Shoto is no longer known as "Endeavor's Son", but as his own hero identity.

Aizawa asks Deku if he feels lonely, and Deku answers that since his talk with Fuwa (in chapter 425) he realized that he can use his knowledge and experience to help other people even without having a quirk. And he says he thinks this is a cool way to live.

Midoriya asks Aizawa if he agrees with him, but Aizawa says that he should be strict with his students, since many who enter UA believe that they are guaranteed passage into the profession and tend to become arrogant if there is no one who is strict and corrects their path.

Midoriya says that since graduation he has barely seen his friends as their days off don't coincide. As he walks home, Midoriya looks out at the scene, Tokoyami or Kirishima products on TV screens, or children playing in the street.

One of these children trips and Midoriya goes over to help, and notices Dai coming over as well.

Dai talks to him about his insecurities and how he comes to see the statue of All Might every time he feels that way, and asks Midoriya,

"Can I be a hero like All Might and You?"

Midoriya remembers his conversation with All Might and begins to analyze Dai's Quirk, a Quirk that allows him to create plates from his hair. Dai is somewhat surprised by Midoriya's way of speaking but understands that he is trying to help him.

"Now it's my turn to give people dreams"

Midoriya tells Dai that he will be okay, because he helped that kid and confirms that he can be a hero. The next panel shows us the new statue of All Might with new additions, statues of civilians rooting for him. Midoriya tells Dai to do his best.

"If I said I'm not a little sad, I'd be lying. However, I can at least encourage other people like that. And that was the story of how we all became the greatest heroes."

All Might appears before the chapter comes to an end and destroys the "END" with his own hand.

All Might apologizes for the delay, while Midoriya tells him that he could have met him at the airport, but All Might says that he wanted to give him a surprise gift while explaining that the data collected from his fight against All For One 8 years ago opened up huge possibilities. All Might gives his disciple a Briefcase.

"Technology evolves just like quirks."

Midoriya says it must have cost a fortune, but All Might says it was created by a friend of US (possibly Melissa and her father) and Hatsume, and the expenses were paid jointly by all the students of class A, especially Bakugo.

“Take this to heart, kid. You've earned this power too, fair and square.”

Deku smiles, we get a panel of Bakugo calling Midoriya, and then Hawks being informed about a landslide on a highway and he asks for any heroes who can to report to the place immediately. Midoriya jumps up using his new support and looks down for a moment, seeing the "ghost" of Shigaraki.

The last page is a double spread of Class A as adults in their hero outfits.

"This is the story of how we will continue to reach out."

A Rant

Well, to begin to understand this chapter and give it a proper rant, I summarized it, and for that reason I want to talk about some things and say again that it is a deteriorated ending for how the Manga began.

Things seem to change but at the same time they stay the same, it's basically like raising the sails of a ship to half mast, you go in the same direction, but slower.

Horikoshi doesn't have a clear perspective for Midoriya in the chapter since he alternates protagonism with Dai, this student who barely appeared once

Dai gives us the perspective of the new generation, and again strength prevails over heroism since Hawks didn't start to reward what really mattered, precisely: Heroism.

Midoriya decides that he will be a teacher since he doesn't have a Quirk to practice the profession of hero, a stupid thing because in previous occasions we were shown that Midoriya's physical strength without the OFA was abundant, although it is understood that Midoriya wants to teach we don't see anything about his class or how he teaches.

The heroes are still people without personal lives, and this is highlighted by the little interaction time that Midoriya had with his friends in a span of 8 years, in addition to Shoto patrolling day and night.

The plot of Shoji and the heteromorphs seems to improve as well as that of Uraraka, both being heroes they try to educate civilians so that people like Toga are helped or the heteromorphs can live with dignity.

Spinner released his book but we didn't see a reaction from the people, but from Compress who had no relevance in this manga.

There is something very wrong with all this and it is that they build us up to the idea that change will happen in the long run, when Horikoshi had the means to immediately begin said changes (And no, I'm not referring to civilians).

Midoriya should have had recognition and interviews for his motivations, even if you don't want to tell the whole story Midoriya would say that he brought Shigaraki to where he was (ridiculous reason but it would be a way to justify it) and people would stop looking the other way

Uraraka could have done what she does now from the academy and interviews, but you didn't allow it either.

Shoji and the heteromorphs was a beautiful plot but you did everything so off-screen that it loses the impact of these two panels that you dedicated to the chapter.

Hawks is now at the head of the commission, and the only thing you did was fix half the problem by adding the top "Eiyuu" when you should also have eliminated the old top that makes people perceive power as something rewardable.

And do you know, readers, why all this is happening? Because Horikoshi most likely has a sequel prepared, because if not, it would not explain the amount of inconsistencies that arose in this last final arc and later this attempt at an epilogue (It literally still makes me sick that he wasted the portal resource like that.)

I would detail for the umpteenth time the inconsistencies when writing the League of Villains or the lack of evolution outside of panels, but you already know my opinion about that and more.

I only hope that on August 5th the news is not a sequel or I will have to mentally prepare myself to see another decade of inconsistencies.

and yes, Deku will have a new OFA in part 2, the ghosts (Shigaraki) don't appear on the street just because.

PHEW okay. rn im working on a yoshida fic but i completely spitballed and went off the rails ...... so um. might be a while before that comes out, so take some (many) thoughts and drabbles of weird stalker boy instead !! yoshida hirofumi x reader

@twentyfivemiceinatrenchcoat take this for yoshi fluff n some mild angst.. for now......

i feel like yoshida would definitely be the kinda guy to give his all in keeping it together; especially with his position as student council president (that he's only half-committed to, really) topped off with his life in the private sector of devil hunting, his image is extremely important to him. not because he has a huge ego or is self-obsessed, but he knows that a lot of people look up to him and rely on him. that being said, he's (probably, yoshida lore when) only human, and he's bound to struggle and wrestle with the workload he's chained to, and it can often get the best of his emotions and stress him out.

so a little word of encouragement here, a sweet 'washed your dishes and your clothes cus i saw you were busy' there would be everything he needs to spur himself on even if he's exhausted; hearing the phrase "i'm proud of you." from your mouth in your sweet, sweet voice? makes it all worth it.

all considered, he doesn't want you to do too much for him; he never lets you pay for your shared meals or drive the two of you home, BUT you should give it your all in trying anyway! acts of service for him seem subtle, but they really mean the world to him when you try so hard to lighten his burden. he thinks it's the most endearing thing on the planet. on the days he lacks the energy to even utter a small mumble of protest, he'll let you take the wheel- but those days are rare, so capitalize on the opportunity! being a gentleman is tiring, so make him coffee (not black) instead of letting him buy the headache-inducing cans of sickeningly sweet caffeine from the vending machines outside his apartment when you rise early enough to; let him fall asleep in your lap and gently play with his hair while you handle a homework assignment for him or two. bonus points if he wakes up to something sweet or savory made by those hands of yours that he loves to hold so much; do that, and he might just dream of marrying you the next time he indulges in an afternoon nap in the confines of your arms.

(and when you hold him to your chest and whisper sweet nothings into his ears on the days he's earned further affection from you? it makes him feel like he's being granted a visit from the heavens, though hell knows he'll never make it up there. but, if he thinks he's being honest, it doesn't matter to him- not when you're right in front of him, a taste of divinity. not when you're gently tracing each slope and ridge in the shape of his left ear, thumb tenderly prodding at the soft skin between the cold metal piercings on his ear. it's like you're mapping out just this minuscule section of his body, and he's found himself praying to whatever's out there that you'll always be here to give him this; that one day, you'll have ran your fingers over every inch of him, memorizing the intricacies of the very bones in his body.)

to me, his primary love language would definitely be quality time- more so for him than you (but he still hopes you enjoy it enough to indulge him. makes him feel like a kid in a candy store with free reign over his monthly allowance.) meaningful talks with you and silly fun banter is all he needs to take his mind off the stresses currently throwing him for a loop and let loose a little. that’s one of the reasons why he fell so head over heels for you— you make it a little easier to breath whenever you’re around him. also... he loves the look on your face whenever he surprises you with gifts, so count on an uninvited bouquet of flowers in some varying hue of your eye color, or surprise boxes of jewelry- that is, if he can afford it. if not, he'll take you out when the weather is pleasant enough and you're in the mood for a cup of boba or an evening out in the nearest shopping district, browsing the warmly lit stands as the chatter of people bustling by fills your ears and he holds onto your hands in the simple pretext of not wanting you to get lost as he buys every mouth-watering festival food you lay your eyes on without hesitation. maybe he'll even treat you to a quick stop at a standing ramen restaurant- and if you're too tired to support yourself on your own two legs, he has no problem carrying you. after all, with his private devil hunting, you both know he's more than capable of that. and so, rest-assured you’ll return home on those gleeful days with full stomaches, bags n boxes full of sticky dango and fresh glistening apples the shades of a red autumn, and giddy smiles coupled with painted strawberry blush that dusts your cheeks and stains your ears. and if, throughout that entire vivid night of fireworks and sweet n savory scents drifting from stalls and the treats in the hands of vivacious children, you happen to get some crumbs or powder on your cheeks, he's more than happy to wipe it away with an affectionate thumb and earnest smile— or even lean in for a taste straight from your flushed skin.

on the topic of his side job in the private sector, though- yoshida prefers to keep you as far away as possible from the side of his life that's three feet deep and counting in missions at the Bureau. and of course, he takes no pleasure in lying to your face, especially when he realizes that you realize the half-assed mutters that fall from his lips don't answer the questions you demand answers to.

he knows it's a necessity, though. so he never tells you the truth when it comes to this matter.

but you can only see the tip of the iceberg of cold, guilty pain that washes over him when he watches your trust in him slip like you're loosing your footing; the excuses he spins that you don't buy and the way he feels like he's being scrutinized beneath your burning gaze as your eyes rove over the rough cuts on his arms and the blooming purple bruise on his jaw that you know isn't a love mark (or at least, you hope so. your mind won’t let you consider the possibility.) makes him feel guiltier than ever. on every other occasion, he never shies away from your gaze; for one, he’s well aware of how attractive he is, but all the compliments and shy confessions he’s ever received feel minuscule when you look at him like he’s your world, so loving that it seems to make the sun shine an inkling brighter and the birds outside his window sing a little sweeter amongst the symphony of nature. but on less pleasant occasions, when it feels like you’re appraising him— no. not just him. appraising his words, weighing them on a golden scale that’s supposed to be unbiased towards the truth, but your heart can’t take the strain when you consider the possibility of him lying to you, and he feels more distant from you every time you look at him in a way that makes him want to shrink away and shut himself up from your prying eyes that he knows are only well-intentioned— which is all the more reason why he falters under the weight of them.

but it’s not like he’d ever tell you that, though. so really, it’s up to you to decide how you act; to probe him and risk a few unintentionally harsh words aimed in your direction in the hopes of confronting the issue head-on before it’s too late, or simply sit back and let it fester until it’s grown out of control and manifests into a hurtful argument for both parties. miscommunication is the enemy to your relationship :(

that being said, yoshida is a bit of a control freak. when things don’t go the meticulous way he’s planned them out, he starts to loose his cool pretty easily, stressing his pretty head off about this and that, biting on his lip and curling a hand into his dark hair. really, though, it’s a simple fix— he tends to get overwhelmed easily only when it comes to things like this, n so all you have to do is tear him away from whatever’s preoccupying him and hold him, soothe his nerves by running your hands through his hair and rubbing gentle circles into his back. like i said, acts of service are really meaningful to him, esp w his line of work— makes him feel all fuzzy on the inside, like there’s a cluster of stars in his chest, his heart stuttering like a broken engine and a bouquet of lilies flowering in his stomach, petals clogging his throat and making it impossible for him to voice his gratitude. and so, after he calms down, he’ll take your hand and pepper little kisses on your knuckles until you ask him to stop with a bright smile and a laugh that sounds like the trickling melody of a running spring water stream.

but that’s an if, though. yoshida might not always manage to calm down— and sometimes his frustration will get the better of him. it might be difficult to manage; he’s so composed and collected for the most part that the meticulous patience required to deal with his boiling vexation might be unfamiliar to you, so it’ll be a bumpy slope. so try to be understanding in the case that he ever snaps at you, and know that he never means to hurt someone as important to him as you. give him time, and he’ll come around. <3

Final Warning

Nellie was taking a break from helping Yousef move out his belongings by taking a walk in the park next to his old home. She was really fond of it herself; there wasn't a lot of foot traffic through the gardens. Most people walked by, put off by the decrepit little cottage that was rotting away on the grounds. She was positively charmed by it.

Christine had been lying in wait. She knew when she saw Yousef packing up his belongings, he'd gone through with it. It was only a matter of time before the trollop he called his wife would show up to help him take his things away. She couldn't believe has lucky she was to catch Nellie alone.

"There you are," Christine said in a tilting high pitched tone. "Slut."

Nellie spun on her booted heels. "I know you weren't addressing me."

"I was."

"I literally don't even know you. Go away."

"You married Yousef."

"And?"

"He's mine."

"He's not an object. Listen, Lady, leave me alone. You need to try drugs or therapy before you come over here and try me."

Christine took a step towards Nellie and shoved her. Taking advantage of how stunned Nellie was that someone would put hands on her, Christine continued with her delusions.

"I am his fiancé. You're going to annul your marriage and send him home. Or I'll make your life very difficult. Your sister just had a daughter, right? Would be an awful shame if something happened to her. It would be just tragic if she was taken away from her doting parents. Infant coffins are so depressing, aren't they?"

I have some more suggestions for the family dinamics of Logan and Mariko: something that bothers me is that Mariko's cousin is Shiro Yoshida, aka Sunfire, who wile arrogant, is heroic and honorable understands the samurai values and japanese culture, so he could help Mariko, a person who has a good friendship with Sunfire, to clean up the family's name and remove their criminal ties brought by Shingen and Silver Samurai, but instead they make Wolverine, in a bit of Mighty Whitey trope, be the one to oppose those villains, win the family Samurai Sword, and constantly used the flimsy excuse that "Mariko has to clean up the Family Honor to feel worthy of marrying Logan" when like... Sunfire is right there, he is her closest relative after her asshole brother, sure as hell knows how to fight, why don't you call him to clean the mess and go live happily with Logan, while Sunfire can sure as hell gain so much deserved character development?!

What came to mind is that in an universe like Next Mutation and/or Family Values, the backstory of Shiro and the plot of the famous Wolverine graphic novel, and be focused on Shiro and Mariko's characters and their agency in the family:

Fuse Shiro's Uncle Tomo Yoshida to Mariko's father Shingen Harada, and you have a great villain for the two cousins to unite against:

Like in the 616 comics, Shiro would be the son of Japanese Ambassador Saburo Yoshida, and Mariko would grow close to her cousin, who acted more like her brother than her own brother Kenuichio (the Silver Samurai).

Shiro and Mariko inherit from Saburo the value of kindness and compassion, believing in a Japan that is diverse, respectful and accepting of different cultures, while Mariko's father and the Silver Samurai represent the mindset that still believes in the hipernationalism of the Imperial Era, are heavily xenophobic and very hipocritical, deaming every non japanese or every japanese person who disagrees with their militaristic and hipernationalistic views as cowardly and dishonorable, when they themselves are dishonorable who don't hesitate in cheating in a fight.

Mariko's father murders his brother, Ambassador Saburo, and this motivates Shiro to confront his uncle.

Mariko and Wolverine help Shiro fighting the assassins sent by her father and the Silver Samurai, Wolverine (in a supporting role) focus his rage on eliminating the assassins, and Mariko kills her her brother, while Shiro kills her father.

This way, the two become protagonists in avenging the murder of Ambassador Saburo, eliminating the criminal empire of the Yoshida Clan and bringing honor back to the family name.

Logan and Mariko celebrate their wedding with Shiro as their best man, and during the festivities, Shiro is introduced to the mutant Angelica Jones, and starts making courtship to her (romance inspired by an episode of Spider Man and His Amazing Friends).

Not bad!

Though I've already been toying with an episode where The X-Men face off against The Silver Samurai.

The episode would see Logan and Mariko's children, Akihiro and Laura, being kidnapped by the forces of the Yoshida Clan.

Essentially, The Silver Samurai has recently set up an American branch of the Clan in order to spread their criminal activity around the world.

And while he was there, he decided it would be best time to finally get revenge on Logan and Mariko.

Sunfire, who would be a old ally and friend of the X-Men, would help them, as he's been tracking down SS and taking down the Yoshida Clan's operatives.

With him by their side, The X-Men and Mariko take on the Yoshida Clan in order to save the kids and possibly take down SS once and for all.

This episode would emphasize that Logan and Mariko are essentially lovers of war.

Both being capable warriors in their own right.

Also, the X-Men will be ninjas here.

You can't tell me that Ninja X-Men doesn't sound cool!

I wanted to know what you think about the choices of ships in The Next Mutation.

So far, we have the classic Scott and Jean.

The underrated Logan and Mariko (who are married).

And two LGBT ships in the form of Ororo x Wren (the latter of whom is a female in this universe) and Piotr x Bobby.

As for future ships.

Kurt and Wanda will be a thing.

Along with Henry and Pietro.

And Kitty will have a massive crush on Illyana.

Also, I'd like to hear some headcanons you have for these couples.

Hank and Pietro is a coupling I never have thought before, so I am curious to see how you develop their relationship.

Growing up with the Evolution of Jean and Scott, I love seeing them as stable, complicit partners who comunicate with each other while having to face only the conflict of superhero life, but not having to deal with triangles or affairs.

I love you genderbending of Wren (even having the name of a bird) and her having a relationship with Ororo, reminds me of a scene from Classic X Men where they fly together in the sky and bond for a moment trough their connection to wind, and the brief introduction of romance between the two in the cartoon Wolverine and the X-Men before Angel's tragic betrayal by their father, and I am intrigued by how you will explore their relationship specially in regards to their differences in class backgrounds, Wren having to flee from an abusive rich family, Ororo being an orphan who had to fight to survive in the streets, and I have to ask if in your fic Ororo is also part Kenyan Royalty, and if you will explore the difference between the meaning of Royalty in African Cultures and European and North American Cultures.

I once saw the suggestion in a CBR post of making Piotr bi and ship him with openly gay Bobby, and I like the idea of a relationship between the serious, sometimes melancholic artist and the extroverted prankster, and makes me wonder if Piotr sees in Bobby the potential for leadership that Bobby has difficulty seeing in himself.

Like to imagine Piotr having Bobby as the Muse for his paintings.

Mariko is an interesting case where in the 70s comics she was introduced as a girlfriend for Logan while he was still pining for Jean, and then Jean was apparently dead in the 80s, we apparently see Mariko become the endgame in the Wolverine graphic novel having a happy ending with their engagement, only for the writers to exagerate in the honor obsession cliche portrayal of japanese characters as their excuse to call the off their engagement, and then they fridge her for him to suffer, and alternate continuities explore her becoming another mutant with the mantle of Sunfire or an armored Scarlet Samurai that has to respond to "being controlled by powerful man all her life".

So I want to see your modern take, avoiding the demure idealization and making her active in making a life for herself in America, showing solidarity for the mutants, embracing romance, forming a family, raising her children, maybe acting as a financial partner or councillor for Xavier's administration of Westchester, bonding with the young women of the team.

Maybe she had relatives in America who were imprisoned in the Japanese Interment Camps, and she shares that history during a Memorial Service.

Is interesting that in the Mutant X continuity, they have a boy and girl set of twins called Brian and Mari, while in the Weapon X-Men continuity, they raise the orphan Amiko Kobayashi and conceive a boy named Shiro and a girl named Elizabeth.

I think it would be interesting to simplify the many kids/clones that Logan has troughout comics, picking their different personalities and concentrating them onto three kids:

Fuse Jubilation Lee and Amiko Kobayashi and you have a younger, around thirteen years old Jubilee Yoshida Howlett, as their eldest chinese-american child raised in canadian and japanese cultures by her adoptive parents who loves spouting pop culture and wants to join the X-Men when she gets older, and she helps taking care of her younger six year old twin siblings: a boy inspired by Akihiro (Fang), Brian and Shiro, named Ikki Yoshida Howlett, and a girl inspired by Kirika Yoshida, Rina Logan (Wild Thing), Laura Kinney (X-23) and Gabby Kinney (Honey Badger), named Mitsu Yoshida Howlett.

A scenario where Logan and Mariko could have met and fallen in love could be inspired by the James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service, where Mariko acts like Teresa 'Tracy' di Vicenzo and fights to flee from her father and his criminal empire, and in her search for freedom meets Logan, helps him to fight against his enemies and the two connect over the mutual desire not to be controlled and weaponized and fall in love.

Please, ignore the comics retcon and keep Wanda and Pietro as Magneto's kids. I love the idea of Kurt and Wanda knowing from the beggining they are on different factions and still choosing to pursue their romantic relationship, meeting in secret with the help of Wanda's younger sister Lorna (who would be raised along the twins) and using a form of written code to comunicate without having the risk of anyone reading their messages.

Wanda is a ballet dancer and Kurt falls in love with her when the Professor takes the team to watch a production of the Emilio Aragón Snow White ballet where Wanda portrays the title character.

Illyana shares Kitty's love for fantasy comics and tabletop games, and Kitty takes the oportunity when the two play campaigns to make characters thay will get a romance with Illyana's characters.

Piotr can see from a distance that Kitty is in love with his sister, but doesn't want to pressure the two (even though his boyfriend Bobby thinks they should totally give a push on their friends).

Sugar Valentine - Valentine’s Day Show!

Mt. Komorebi, are you ready?

It’s time to JUMP! and give a warm welcome to your very own Sugar Valentine!

The five boys run onstage, and in what has become their signature entrance, they form a line, join hands, and jump as high as they can. They're greeted by excited and enthusiastic cheering from their fans — their Valentines — who have come to see this special Valentine's Day performance.

Ryu: Mt. Komorebi, are you ready to…

All: JUMP!

audience: *loud cheering*

Senjirō: Here we come! We want to hear you!

Haru: Who do you love, Mt. Komorebi? Let's hear it! I want you to shout it loud!

audience: *screaming intensifies* SUGAR VALENTINE!!!

The members wait for the noise level to go down slightly before they introduce themselves to the audience, one by one.

Ryu: Hello, Valentines of Mt. Komorebi, and all our Valentines watching online! I’m Yoshida Ryuusei. You know me as Ryu. We’ve got an amazing show for you tonight. We put all our love into it, and now we’re sending that love out to you!

Keigo: Hey, everyone! My name is Sasaki Keigo. You know me as Kēki. I may be the Cake, but you’re the frosting. With all of your love and support, life’s so much sweeter. You’re beautiful and I love you!

Haru: Hey! How’re you doing tonight, Mt. Komorebi? Feeling good? I’m Abe Sakuharu, and you know me as Haru. I love you, my Valentines! You know what to do!

audience: *screaming* MARRY ME, HARU!!!

Haru: Yes!

Senjirō: Hello, Valentines around the world! I’m Aidan Okada. You know me as Senjirō. I’m really happy to be here tonight with all of you. Seeing your passion for what we do is special, and it means more than I have words for. I love you, Valentines, and I hope you enjoy the show!

Taiji: Last but not least, I’m your Baby Sugar, Kanematsu Taiji. Who needs stage names? You know me as Taiji, and I wanna hear you make some noise! Come on, Valentines, let’s make some noise!

“nine mutuals you want to know better” tag game!

Tagged by @sarenhale ! I didn't have access to my computer the past couple days so I'm a bit late, but this was a lot of fun!! Thank you for the tag <3

Last Song: lately I've been relaxing to the Hollow Knight OST (City of Tears best track) but in terms of lyrical music, I recently rewatched the music video for "Little Dark Age" by MGMT because its vibes are fucking impeccable and mesmerizing (I can watch it on repeat for hours)

Favorite Color: purple is my go-to answer (especially blue-ish purples), but I also really love dark greens and desaturated earthy colors so much

Last Movie/TV Show: I feel like I haven't been watching movies lately (I'm more of a show person because I like longer form narratives) but I think the last one I watched was "Better Off Dead" while I was visiting my family for the holidays. It was a weird/surreal but good time! As for shows, I finally got around to watching Scavenger’s Reign!! Every aspect was just amazing, especially the worldbuilding and visuals. 2D animation is probably my favorite medium, so I'm really glad we're seeing more animation for adults that wants to tell a story instead of being a delivery device for lame sex jokes and cringe humor. OH ALSO DUNGEON MESHI!!! For a lot of the same reasons! Excited to watch the new episode tonight :>

Sweet / Spicy / Savory: I have a HUGE sweet tooth, so if I had to pick one, that would be it. Savory foods are great and I love them, I just have a leftover "now's your chance!" impulse from not being allowed much sugar as a kid that I can't seem to get rid of. I'm also weak to the "I deserve a lil treat" trap if I've got a bunch of sweet snacks around, so I have to be careful. As for spicy….I am SO completely unable to handle spicy food it’s almost funny, but really it’s just tragic because I LOVE cuisines known for being spicy, like mexican and thai. If I eat out, I always have to be like “can you please make it mild?” and even then, if it's not seasoned for the babiest of babies, my mouth will burn and my weak, white-person tummy will hurt.

Relationship Status: I keep forgetting I’m getting married in less than six months. My partner and I got engaged like two years ago and have lived together for almost five, so my brain just defaults to "there’s probably a guy nearby" and doesn’t think much deeper on it than that.

Last thing I googled: "morels" because I was discussing mushrooms with my friend and those are some cool lookin' guys! Shaggy ink caps too!

Current Obsession: …….One Piece 😅 I was a big fan as a teen but only got as far as the Skypiea arc before I fell off reading/watching it. The hype over the new live action version reminded me the series existed, so I’ve been not so slowly making my way through again, picking up where I left off. I love how absolutely bonkers, there-are-no-rules, anime-ass-anime it is, but also how genuine and heartfelt it can be. I also enjoy how character-driven so much of the plot is which works because of how interesting the characters are (Chopper, Robin, and Franky are my favs). I just got to the timeskip, so I’m maybe…halfway through? between this and BG3, RIP my free time lol

Last Book: I've been reading through Seiji Yoshida's "Houses with a Story" (slowly, because I want to really take it in and savor it) and it's been a delight. Very relaxing and inspiring :> (up next, I finally got copies of the Locked Tomb series, so soon I will be enjoying The Space Lesbians)

Looking forward to: Being able to organize and enjoy my "new" office space after some hectic days! My partner and I realized we barely spend any time in our bedroom except for sleeping, so we swapped my office into the bigger room in our apartment! There were some complications with getting the internet working on my PC, but we finally got it all smoothed out. Now I finally have all my books and sewing/crafting/creative stuff in one place without it feeling cramped or hiding things away in storage :>

And so it was, on a cool winter's day in Oasis Springs, Ellie married Daichi and became Mrs. Yoshida. The ceremony was extravagant, the catering impeccable. Rosie couldn't help but sidle up to Sam and ask her burning questions.

"This looks expensive," she whispered.

"It is."

"Like, more expensive than she could afford."

"He paid for it. All of it."

"HOW?! What does he do for a living?"

Here Sam got quiet and looked at his older sister directly. There were several moments of quiet murmuring around them before he said, "when I ask, he just laughs and pats my shoulder, but I feel colder after it happens. Like there's danger in the room that I wasn't aware of before."

"Oh."

"Yes."

"This is lovely, Ellie, really, congrats," Rosie said to the bride later as they waited for their beverages.

"Thank you! It was perfect, wasn't it? Daichi just gave me the checkbook and let me do exactly what I wanted."

"That's so wonderful. What's he do for a living?"

Ellie shrugged. "Business, what does it matter?"

"You don't know where he works?"

Ellie gave Rosie a hard stare. "We have just barely moved into the whole 'I accept you as my sister' thing and you are really pushing my patience here. He could afford it. Drop it."

"Oh."

"Yes."
