A mixture of soft and sharp features. Probably a little overall dark vibe, not necessarily very dark features? Even if they have dark features, the vibe could be overall soft. Round, softer eyes. Cozy style rather than anything very sharp or dramatic. They probably wear dresses, maybe long ones. Dresses in Medium to Light/Pale Colours and Black. Average height but has elongated arms/legs. Obviously someone who knows their styles and dresses well. Overall a pretty feminine person who looks a bit soft or mellow but deep/sharp eyes.

wow this question held me up more than I thought. Do I want to put him somewhere where he ups the comedic value? Among people who would fix him or make him worse?

Okay one thought I had was Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory for this reason: I think he would notice that Wonka is weeding them out, and be able to keep his head throughout the tour. But at the end if he's offered the factory he'll be, 'No! I wanted to take it by force, you can't just give it to me. I have a much more nefarious plan, I'm going to sell all your secrets that I learned today!' and either he does sell the secrets and kinda wins but he could've had the chocolate factory, or Wonka gives him a caramel that steals his memory which he had prepared for this reason

12 What's a headcanon you have for this character?

He eventually pursues his dream of being a writer. Continues villainy at the same time I think, just like sets aside a day or maybe a time of day to focus on his story

Actually though, Splinter. Because that's someone who is just as obsessed with ninjutsu as he is, would give him positive attention for doing well that Shredder needs in his friendships and associations because of how his childhood was, and also call him out when he's being controlling/selfish/unnecessarily violent which he also needs. And Shredder is more action-oriented while Splinter can get lost in his head. It's so deeply sad because Splinter really could have been such a great mentor (and I realize 'mentor' is a little different than 'bestie' but personally I think any type of friend can be a best friend), but it seems like their falling out came from him correcting Shredder, because Yoshi wasn't yet mature enough to say what needed to be said in a manner that would be heard and Saki wasn't (probably still isn't in the bulk of the show) mature enough to not become a villain about it. Whenever he talks about his rival or says something like 'what do you think of me now that I'm about to destroy you' it just breaks me a little bit because. hnnrrrg. That's the most he knows about how to socialize, he's trying to connect he's trying 😭 We don't make friends by destroying people Shredder 😭😭

Also Kazuo! I mean he's not the ideal best friend but I wanted to mention him because he might be the real best friend. They have been the source of a lot of hurt for each other, their personalities don't really click, they don't bring out the good or even the fun in each other, and yet they're there for each other in the ways they know how (which are sometimes maybe a little bit messed up), over and over and in spite of the whole world including their own mother. I care them a normal amount

anyway, i screwed around with the raildex universe and created an oc based off that. unfortunately none of this is published because i basically rewrote the entire thing to the point that it's like in a place where it's not original fiction but also not *quite* fanfiction anymore

1) “How does it feel, hmm? To have someone wrap their fist around your heart? Don’t be prepared to dish out pain unless you’re willing to receive it.” Upon seeing his lack of a response, she slightly tilted her head. “I wasn’t able to do Blood Flow before. You and your ‘sensei’ knew that better than anyone, but ever since you attacked me, I’ve only been able to control one medium at a time. Man, I was pissed, but it turns out I have more control if I’m only controlling one. I was never able to do this before, but now thanks to you, I can. Do you understand what’s about to come next?” 

2) “I’m killing again for the sake of this power.” Now that they were dead, the grief returned. She leaned back against a wall, sliding down, her head buried in her hands. “The only way to repay them is to perfect my power. I need to get stronger so I can protect them. Yes, that’s the only way to make sure they didn’t die in vain.”

3) “Oh? So you were wanting to kill me. I should kill you a million times for that, you know!” she yelled out as she squeezed down on her neck. “My abilities let me heal, you fucking idiot. If you’re gonna try to kill me, you gotta make sure you finish the job.”

4) “I really did expect just a little bit more of a challenge from you. The times that I’ve fought next to you were quite amazing. Really, they were. It’s amazing how befuddled people get when they realize that your right hand can cancel out abilities. The only thing with me is that I know how to counter that right hand of yours. After you take that out of the equation, what else do you have left? What else can you do?” Kira gave him a gentle smile. “You made a good effort. You made a really good effort. So it’s about time you had a rest!”

5) “I’m not the type of person that saves people.”

6) “I’m not a good person,” she whispered. “I don’t deserve this, I don’t deserve you, I-”

7) “We’ve played this song and dance before and to be honest, your track record isn’t working in your favor. The only way you’re getting out of this is to tell me where she is and maybe, just maybe, I’ll kill you quickly.” 

8) “If I have to forget who I am to save her, I will,” Kira said with an empty look in her eyes.

9) "...monster I was always meant to be. That's right. Kihara Kenkyuu had always said that something was special about me. Takaki Yoshi said that my abilities were different. Maybe I really am a monster."

10) "Do you want to live or die? It’s your choice. That damned Kihara Seigo might have made it so that I can’t control who the hell I kill when I touch them, but that’s a different case with you, isn’t it?” Kira currently held up one of the Hound Dog lackeys that was unfortunate enough to have gotten separated from the rest.

11) “Do you ever shut up?” spat out Kira to silence the man. She grabbed the piece of steel stabbing into the man. “What a pain in the ass. Just asking me to kill you is too vague. I’ll move this thing around to tear your insides to pieces if you keep going down this route.”

12) “Do you really think there is any path left that will save you? After living in this world, trampling on so many people, and making enemies of me and that bastard Kihara Seigo, do you really think you can still live a happy life? That’s bullshit and you know it. You’re utter trash. How many people have you killed?” 

13) “Oh? Then you need a hospital,” continued the Level 5 with a grin. “Of course, I could heal you, but-” Kira shrugged and then looked towards him with scorn. “You idiots took that control away from me. So it looks like there’s no salvation for you here, but you won’t die. Not this easily. I’ll make sure your suffering lasts. Keep living on that hopeless path of life so I can relieve some stress.”

14) “Sorry about that,” Kira said with an uninterested look on her face. “I swore to a certain someone that I wouldn’t be participating in this shit anymore, but it looks like I fucked up.” A laugh leaked out. “You see, if I had my abilities, I probably could have ‘adjusted’ the trajectory of the shell so that it would’ve landed in your leg and removed your ability to walk temporarily or something like that. But oh wait,” Kira looked at the woman with a mocking expression. “You fucks took that away. Karma really is a bitch, you know.”

15) “Sorry,” apologized Kira while cutting her off. “I may be trying to walk on the path of good now, but you lot really pissed me off. I just can’t rest peacefully without finishing the job.”

If you had to rework the Smash roster for the "big three" (Mario, Fire Emblem, and Pokemon), who would you cut and add? On the flip side of the coin, for series that have less than four fighters, and Zelda (since Melee was the last time they had fully original fighters) who would you add?

As much as I know we're never going to quite have something the level of Ultimate again, ideally I wouldn't be on the side of cutting characters, so just for fun, I'll go with who I'd most want to see as a new character for each world.

Mario - Toad, with Toadette as an "Alph" style alt. Just feels like they SHOULD be there. Extra, I wouldn't be adverse to Waluigi as like a "side games" rep with moves referencing Party, Kart, Sports, etc., but I feel like Toad deserves a spot more by this point.

DK - Dixie Kong is probably the overall most wanted there, and I'd agree with it.

Zelda - I'm biased toward TP so I'd say promote Midna to playable.

Metroid - ......Hard to say on this one... Honestly most of what I'd want for Metroid is for Samus' alt costumes to really BE alt costumes, i.e., factor in more of her suits. Thinking about it, honestly since we have ROB as a cute robot, I'd be down for having EMMI around as a creepy robot fighter.

Yoshi - ...Can we count Kamek? If so, him.

Kirby - While he probably wouldn't exactly be my first choice (total bias, it'd be Daroach), Bandana Waddle Dee probably makes the most sense at this point as a fourth.

Star Fox - Leon, play up the idea that he's an assassin. Make his blaster more "sniper" type, give it the ability of the Staff item : it does more damage the further Leon is from his opponent.

Pokemon - We need a fully evolved Grass starter, for which I'm honestly torn between either Decidueye or Meowscarada.

Mother - I'm gonna be honest? I don't know the series enough to really have a strong leaning toward a new character. I'd guess maybe a rep from Earthbound Beginnings could work? But I have no idea who it would be.

F-Zero - As it stands, any character from F-Zero put in a fighting game would basically be a whole cloth moveset, so anyone could work. For the rivalry, I'll give the nod to Samurai Goroh.

Ice Climber - ...Now here's a weird one, and we're going to hit this more in the future. This is a very, VERY specific game, with a very, VERY limited cast, so.... not really much we can do with this one.

Fire Emblem - Another where I've never really played anything in the series (unless you count FE Warriors) so I don't know a lot of characters. Honestly from what little I know, I'll just say Anna because I think it'd be funny.

Game & Watch - Another that falls into the "where do we go with this?" category.

Kid Icarus - Honestly I'd like to see what they'd do with either Medusa or Hades. Medusa kinda feels like she deserves it for being in the original and Uprising, but Hades did kinda steal the show, let's be honest.

Wario - They pretty solidly reference the Ware world in the direction they went with Wario, so... let's mix it up and go with Captain Syrup. I'd love to see what they'd do with a fun tricky pirate moveset.

Metal Gear - Just because he'd have amazing taunts? Revolver Ocelot.

Sonic - I'd honestly be down for either of the two other main usual party members, Tails or Knuckles.

Pikmin - Oatchi, bring in the goodest boi.

ROB - Once more in "what else is there?" territory.

Animal Crossing - Tom Nook, just feels right to have him there. Let him work off some steam due to everyone constantly calling him a villain when he's... really very much not.

Mega Man - If we're sticking with Classic, Bass. He feels different enough from say, Proto Man that I could see him working, and maybe specifically give him weapons from MM&B and 10, where he was playable.

Wii Fit - If we count Ring Fit as part of it, Drageaux just because I think it'd be funny.

Punch Out!! - Really any of the rival boxers could fill the role, for meme potential, I want to say Super Macho Man. Let's be honest, dude is pretty meme worthy.

Mii - Not sure if we can really go anywhere from here. Unless you just want to canonically have Matt in the mix. Which... dear gods, we're all in trouble if so.

Pac-Man - I'd say Ms. Pac-Man, but I guess there are apparently rights issues, hence why we haven't seen her even in Namco's own stuff in a long time. I wonder if a fun moveset could be made for the Ghosts? Have it by default be Blinky, but alts could be Pinky, Inky, Clyde, Sue, Spunky, Funky, and Orson.

Xenoblade - By default, I'd guess someone from Xenoblade Chronicles 3? But I have basically zero knowledge of the Xenoblade series, so I can't give a more solid answer there.

Duck Hunt - Another in the "what's left here" set.

Street Fighter - With Ryu and Ken both in, I'd say either Chun-Li or M. Bison would make the most sense.

Final Fantasy - If we're sticking with 7, I'd probably give the nod to either Barret or Tifa. Though it would be kind of funny to put Cid in just so we continue the tradition of "is it Final Fantasy? Somewhere, a Cid must be present."

Bayonetta - Jeanne would probably make the most sense.

Splatoon - Octolings would probably work, give them a set of weapons the Inklings don't use in their set maybe.

Castlevania - I'd be interested to see what they'd do as a moveset for Soma.

Persona - Again, if we're going with "use the one they used," we're going with P5, but I'm going to cheat and say "P5 adjacent" and go with Strikers, because Sophie's just really fun.

Dragon Quest - I'd still like to see a playable Slime just because I feel like it'd be fun.

Banjo-Kazooie - We've already got the big duo there, so it comes down to ally or rival. Either Mumbo Jumbo or Gruntilda could probably have a fun moveset.

Fatal Fury - This one's in that situation of I don't really know the full roster well enough, so can't really make an educated guess outside of Geese for rivalry.

ARMS - I kinda want to give the nod to Lola Pop just because I think she could have some interesting differences.

Minecraft - Honestly, no clue what else you could even go with since Steve also brought Alex and a couple of enemies to the game.

Tekken - Either Heihachi because he's the big bad, or Kuma because hilarity.

Kingdom Hearts - Riku honestly probably makes the most sense as the friend / rival. Give him a darkness meter buildup mechanic where he can transform to his dark outfit and such.

First time posting, so I hope I did this right. Sorry Yoshi if I mess it up; Tumblr has always been a scary new unknown world for me. Didn't understand how it worked back when it was new, and still don't know how it works now xD; Probably want to put a TW because of the third point.. and also apologies this is a bit long.  Anywho, First off, as has been stated a few times already by the looks of it: No one has to be comfortable with everyone. So the anon is allowed to be suspicious of whom I am and how I act. It's just human nature to be suspicious of things at times even if they seem good. The statement "To good to be true" always comes to mind. And of course, if I upset someone to much, blocking is always free~  Second, odd once again that people enjoy digging that up, but the "facts" around it are always wrong. I won't get into details because A) I'm already going to be typing out to much I think, and B) no one cares usually beyond what things look like at the surface, and I know what it looks like on the surface. I don't personally try to hide those accounts as I feel like there's nothing I need to hide, but obviously I don't link anything within FV because it'd break the TOS with how it obviously looks. I thought, though, that everything I personally ever posted was marked appropriately... If it's not, I'll have to see if I remember my login, as I haven't been many places in quite a while. That I do apologize about if that's true. And if it'd make people more comfortable if I posted my age on my profile, I don't mind adding that in. I won't post my birth date, but I'll post the year at the least. Third, I think at least for myself the reason why people "rush to my defense" is because the last time I was featured on this place, it was, bluntly, life ending levels of accusations, and those that knew me knew that wasn't true and started posting their defense. Those that knew me and talked to me later about it knew that I took it almost exactly that hard, and still think about it to this day. (I do thank Yoshi for scrubbing most of that time, as I didn't want things escalating beyond what they already had. I believe at least you were still the mod at the time here...) So my best guess is that some that know me or knew me during that time are trying to stop something like it from happening again. Aka, the age old "good intentions" sort of thing... But this is the internet; People will take any idea or ideal and run with it in whatever direction they like. Any amount of reason or logical facts won't change it. I thank those defending me, but at this point if people want to dig up old accounts across the web and fabricate things about me, they're allowed to do so. It won't ever make it fact no matter how hard they try. After living with depression for about 23 of the 35 years I've been alive; it hasn't killed me yet, and I don't plan on letting it do so any time soon. All of this, of course, only applies to my situation. Not sure about others if that really seems to be the case about people always coming to the defense of other popular/well liked users.  As an aside that's slightly linked to that, I don't usually come here unless someone I know pokes me and says that I should. I don't like how this place... "feels". Whenever I did come here back when I first learned of it and started reading, most of what I read seemed to be easily solved "issues" that people wanted to be salty about because... they wanted to be salty? Not how I enjoy my day, but not my place to tell others how they should live based off of my own ideals. There's already enough of that kinda stuff going on in my life; I don't want to come online just to ingest more of it. I probably won't be making any other posts and will continue to not read things here unless someone brings it directly to my attention. I only came here and made this post as the last thing I want is another "war" over me just because someone was uncomfortable with my vibe. Leave them be, let them live their best life just as the rest of everyone else should. 

So... yeah... TL; DR; no one has to like me and is allowed to think what they want; doesn't make things true, no one needs to defend me so fiercely (but I do thank those that want to as I'm pretty sure I know at least some of whom you are because why else would random people do so?), and I probably won't be back unless someone tells me to come back and read again so... [Review] Wario World (GCN)

Wario Land staggers into the 3rd dimension.

Treasure are known primarily for two things: shmups and their Mega Drive action platformer titles. The latter parlayed into Michief Makers on the N64, which spotlighted two of their main strengths as seen in the likes of Gunstar Heroes: boss fights, and grabbing and throwing mechanics. Their first 3D game, the odd Hippa Linda on PS2, definitely leaned into these aspects; I haven't played it but it doesn't seem to have reviewed particularly well. Wario World then fits squarely in that legacy, ostensibly a showcase of these same strengths but so awkwardly handled that they become weaknesses.

On the surface it has the hallmarks of a Wario Land game: Wario's a bruiser who can pick up and chuck enemies, tick. He's hunting for secret areas, coins, and treasures, tick. He can use enemies and objects to interact with his environment, tick. There's required backtracking and mechanics seemingly designed just to waste the player's time, double tick! In adapting to 3D, there's more of a beat-em-up focus now which would be fine if the combat was enjoyable.

Wario has a basic punch combo which doesn't get you very far. Most of the time you're expected to stun an enemy, then grab them. From here you can imprecisely throw them, laboriously spin them, or simply piledrive them. Enemies often respawn almost instantly so there's no good reason to do this unless the level design requires you using one of these actions to proceed, or the game outright traps you into a forced fight. Moving Wario around feels zippy and slippery but the fighting itself is slow and your options are so limited that it never really broke through the tedium barrier for me. There's also only a few types of enemies, and most of the time you'll be slogging through the same faces just reskinned for new levels.

Your main objective in a level is to get red crystals to be able to leave. These are only found inside trapdoors leading to either puzzle rooms or Super Monkey Ball-esque platforming challenges. The controls aren't ideal for precision in these tasks, not to mention the very clunky camera. Most of the time you're looking in at levels diorama-style, which works well enough, but rooms like this open it up... it's fine for these contained sections, but I was glad the rest of the game was more rigid. Anyway, when you get to the end you're able (or possibly required) to return to the start if you didn't find enough stuff, Yoshi's Story style, to explore alternate paths or hidden spots. Aside from the trapdoors, you'll be looking for switches to spawn chests, health upgrades (you only get the boost if you find all the pieces within a level!), and the hint-giving Spritelings.

And speaking of characters who make annoying noises, Charles Martinet is out in full force as Wario with oft-repeated quips and what may be the worst pause screen in the world. The joke of him screeching at you is funny for about two seconds, and then it makes this menu unusable as a pause screen for the entirety of the game. Slow clap for that one. The use of voice clips is good for conveying Wario's personality, which otherwise is a bit let down by the oddly lifeless polygon-shifting animations on his 3D model. But to be fair, he does scratch his bum sometimes, which is pretty funny.

Each and every level ends with a boss fight. Well, OK, there's actually only eight levels—even fewer than Wario Land 4—but they're pretty substantial. Substantial enough that replaying them to get more treasures felt like a bridge too far for me. Anyway, add another boss for each of the four worlds and the final fight, and you have 13 boss fights in all. Some of them have good concepts and fun designs but frequently I found them dragging, overstaying their welcome with repeated patterns. The final boss—an uncharismatic jewel with tentacles—is the worst offender, its boring, padded fight a shockingly weak way to close out proceedings.

Although there's only eight levels, each one has its own well-established setting, from forest ruin to creepy circus to sandy pyramid (this one had the best level design for exploring & backtracking). You can also play them in any order, which is interesting if kind of pointless. The worldbuilding is a bit half-arsed though, as all these environments were just magicked up out of Wario's basement by the evil gem. Actually collecting the collectibles could be more rewarding too; treasures unlock Warioware minigames only playable on a connected GBA, Spritelings are the only thing that determine your ending jpg, and coins are used solely for recovering health or continuing after a game over.

I was hoping Wario World would be a hidden gem of Treasure's hoard, but what I got was an unpolished stone. On paper they seem like a good fit for a new Wario adventure in 2003, but perhaps their inexperience with 3D led to this mediocre result. They don't seem to have made another game like it since, either. Wario World is certainly not all bad, but it really should have been a lot better than this.

About Rocky.. You basically said everything we did for him. I don't see a man like Rocky discriminating against any woman. And, regardless of personality, I imagine him as a protective over her like he is with women. Because Rocky has his multiple successful businesses (with Club Heaven being only one of the businesses), along with his fashion sense, the man will definitely have money - so he's definitely gonna spoil his partner. Since he is a romantic, I could also imagine him spoiling them with other gifts (flowers, candy, clothes, jewelry). I see him as affectionate in a more private setting rather than public, but if by a chance that he is affection in public, basic affection like you said - holding hands, quick kisses, an arm around her waist. Like in season two, when Rocky's with that ugly girl in Club Heaven. Which also easily leads me to mentioning his kinks too, but that's just a topic for another time. So Rocky's easiest for me. Not usually into romantic men, but I could easily be projecting my romantic fantasies for him though. Rocky's the ideal romantic man type.

Exactly! Cobra is definitely the ones I'm having way too many complications trying to figure out. But I'd have to agree.. Even if she is not a physical fighter, I imagine being with a woman who's a fighter in ways where she will fight to protect what matters most - someone who stands up for her beliefs. A confident woman. Not sure about appearances though. Maybe like Rocky? Possibly someone who isn't too picky about appearances, maybe someone who will fit his personality. But that's all I can see too. Not so sure about anything else. Cobra's a complex man.

Exactly! That's what I was thinking. I imagine Yoshi being with a woman who's like his best friend at the same time. Either she matches his personality, like, y'know, the female equivalent of him in every way it could be known. But I could also imagine opposites attract types of personalities too, to some extent, in a way. But it depends on their exact personality for the connection to work. She doesn't have to be this physical fighter, but I also think Murayama actually love if she was. So he really seems more adaptable.

For Hyuga. That's what I was thinking. A personality similar to his.. The badass type of woman. Whether she's a physical fighter or not, she'll probably have a strong attitude. Confident. Intelligent. But if written well, an opposites attract could possibly happen.

And you already know what I said about Smoky's type of woman. Not that there's much to go on for his character though.

Talking with someone about original characters is kinda helping me be more focused.. Helping me to piece out, figure out, a lot more details for them the more I talk to someone about them. Maybe the "speaking aloud" concept, your thoughts makes more sense when you speak about these thoughts (or write these thoughts down).

I already have four characters. I've thought about all the other groups, character, so on and so forth. But it feels like there might be too many characters if I'd do that. And I'm still figuring out these characters.

Oh! Yeah. I forgot to say this last time. I thought the same thing as you.. I already told you that there is a person who's using Aya Asahina (similar to Kuina in AIB) as her face claim. If her character had the hair, the dreadlocks, my first thought was that she could have been related Tettsu. But she is in no relation to other characters in a family relationship.

Tao's character is another option. Because Usagi's a rock climber, parkour, she could fit as a Rude Boy if you ever wanted to use her. Or whoever you use for that character. That was just a thought.

I've been watching a lot of Korean series lately. So if this movie seems interesting to me, I might actually watch it. But no promises though.

Random off topic question. And I don't mean this in a sexual way either. Did you ever see Nijiro shirtless before? Because I saw shirtless pictures before.. He is slightly hairier than I thought he would be. Not in a bad way! Obviously guys have body hair so that is not surprising. But, for him, he has a bit more hair than I imagined him having. If that makes sense.

i just know hyuga would hate being known as the shortest sword leader. it’s one centimetre and hyuga is silently pissed. he’d be fine if he’d ever managed to beat cobra in a fight, but he couldn’t even do that.

rocky feels like an easy one. i think it definitely comes down to personality for him and how they mesh. but really, any kind of girl. i think rocky likes to pamper and money is no object. i can see him with a girl who likes to buy things and then show them off to him like ‘here’s what i bought!’; but can also see him with a girl who’s shy about spending his money so he happily buys things for her.

cobra is so difficult to figure out for someone who has so much screen time. appearances are difficult to me, because i don’t know how dudes think and i’ve got a lesbian brain that goes ‘all girls pretty’. cannot discern anything it into a ‘type’. i do think cobra, rocky and probs smokey too at least would lean more on the side of personality over looks, though all three would dole out compliments. also i remembered that there’s that scene of cobra going to buy himself a cupcake and i think it’d be cute if he had a gf who likes to bake.

genuinely think that being a fighter is all it takes to be s.exy to murayama; doesn’t matter about gender, if you can brawl, he’s like ‘ur hot’. but yeah, if not a total energy-matching gf, he needs one that supports him. someone who tries to keep him out of trouble and out of fights i feel would dampen his spirits. like sure, be worried if you must (though he’d be confused bc he’s a ‘great fighter’, he ‘never loses’), but trying to stop him from doing what he does would probably depress him in the long run. i really do just like the thought of him having a lil gf who dotes on him after his fights; she’s cleaning up his hands, and he just smiles and leans in to give her a lil kiss on the cheek or forehead.

hyuga and a similar-personality gf are such a loud couple. just confident and cocky and you see em and are just like ‘yea of course those two would get together’. like insufferably into each other. but! hyuga with an opposite-personality is such an interesting - and kind of funny - concept. i’m definitely leaning more towards favouring the former, but the latter is something i could enjoy if done well.

i am so very soft about the idea of smokey with a big-sister-to-nameless-city type gf. they’re the ‘parents’ to nameless city. im imagining them as childhood sweethearts. smokey dies and she never dates again because he was ‘the one’ for her :( she tells all the kids stories about smokey and keeps his grave tidy and never lets his memory die :( :(

that’s what i meant! it really does help to talk about ocs - or even the characters around them - to develop them more. you can really muddle out the details when you’re talking and writing stuff down, because sometimes you get to talking about something you wouldn’t have otherwise thought about.

i’m trying to keep to developing one oc at a time to not get overwhelmed. so right now i’ve got one mostly developed oc and one oc idea.

i was half-thinking of a hyuga oc and thought aya would make a good fc for her (then the takeshi oc came along and im on her now) (i also didn’t want to step on any toes with it being such a small fandom and there already being a popular oc with an aya fc). imagining her as tettsu’s sister is a lil funny. i’m just imagining a scene like:

cobra, at the end of a sword meeting: … *sigh* hyuga, tettsu would like to request you stop dating his sister.

i dont know that i’d actually make her tettsu’s sister, though the image is funny, but i also think it’d be funny if they weren’t related and just looked so alike and they just *spiderman pointing meme* at each other.

i do think tao would make a good nameless city character. now i’m imagining her as the aforementioned big-sister character. her and smokey would be cute together. i’m still thinking of using yuri and her aib character’s amputated leg, since there’s quite a few videos of people doing parkour while having amputated legs so it’s not out of the question. and, since the aib character made it in the borderlands and it’s not an actual prosthetic, it looks like something they could have rigged together for her in nameless city out of spare parts.

i enjoyed it - it is a horror movie though, just as a warning, and can be kind of intense at times. it’s an entertaining watch if you’re into horror/psychological thriller movies. wi ha joon is totally excellent in it.

t.iktok and pinterest love to throw pictures of shirtless men at me after i’ve just been looking at their show/movie characters. nijiro does have a very defined happytrail. i think it’s surprising mostly because you usually don’t see a lot of east asian guys with body hair. i mean, look at the exile guys whenever they have their shirts off in music videos, they’re all very smooth.

Hyunsuk

He was a bit surprised, expecting it to take way longer for you to initiate or even want his affection. It still made him very happy though, and he’d cherish the moments you would spend together; it somehow felt a little bit more special if you had asked for it.

Hyunsuk would feel as if everything he had done, every time he hurt you and all the trouble he had to go through to get where you were now - was all worth it. He had dreamt so long for this moment, it almost felt unreal.

But beware that if you get too clingy and get in the way of his work you might piss him off and get punished instead, he didn’t care if that meant he’d have to wait a few weeks to get you into a cuddle-mood again.

‘‘ Are you done with work now? ‘‘ your face lit up when you noticed your boyfriend finally closing down his laptop.

He scoffed, his face breaking out into a smile at your adorableness. 

‘‘ Yeah, have you missed me? ‘‘

You nodded and came over to give him a hug.

Jihoon

Not at all surprised - he had carefully isolated and manipulated you into seeing him a certain way, more specifically your ideal type.

He knew that after sometime of pursuing you, you’d become absolutely obsessed with him. Sometimes, he’d lay at night picturing you driving yourself crazy wondering what he was doing at that moment, or what he had done to you to make you feel that way.

And soon enough you did cave in - showing up at his house and confessing your love for him. He’d try to act cool about it, normal and surprised as if he didn’t know anything.

You being needy would boost his ego, he would look down on you with such a satisfied smirk that you almost regretted begging like that. Yet, you couldn’t stop yourself from doing it over and over. It was like he had put a spell on you.

‘‘ I’m gonna go hang out with my friends now, I’ll be back at about 12. You can go to bed before me ‘‘ he said monotonically - as if he didn’t know how you’d react, he had done it on purpose of course.

You groaned.

‘‘ What! But why? Can’t you stay here and spend the evening with me? ‘‘ you internally cursed yourself for the way your voice went a pitch higher and turned into a sort of whine.

Jihoon couldn’t stop the smirk from forming as he watched you beat yourself up. He felt satisfied knowing he had you wrapped around his finger.

Yoshi

He feels too embarrassed to show he likes it, as if it would somehow ruin his pride if his stoic mask slipped and showed a small smile - so instead he’d act indifferent to it, he gave you attention and affection when you asked for it but not too much and while doing so he tried not to show how pleased he was, basically jumping around on the inside.

You knew though but kept it to yourself, you had caught him blushing or smiling to himself once he thought you were out of sight - but knowing he’d beat the shit out of you if you teased him about it or brought it up, you kept quiet.

The first time you had seen it was after you had been pushed off his lap when Yoshi thought you had cuddled him enough.

‘‘ I have stuff to do ‘‘ he grunted, forcefully pulling you off.

You rolled your eyes, slightly hurt by his rejection but obeyed regardless, in fear of him punishing you.

That’s when you saw it; his reflection in the mirror that was standing on his desk showed him smiling widely while keeping his head down.

Your heart beat loudly while just seeing it and you secretly smiled to yourself too as you left the room, having been ushered out for the second time.

Junkyu

He’s just over the moon. There’s nothing better to him than having you be clingy and seeing you want or need his affection and love.

Sometimes he was scared he’d come across as obsessed or lovesick, potentially leading to scaring you away and make you stop wanting it. Because of this, your boyfriend didn’t wear his heart on his sleeve all the time, only showing some excitement and love.

To an outsider he would just look like any other boyfriend - sporting a cheesy grin when you were pouring your heart out while out and drunk or offering you his jacket when you were cold. Junkyu was a little proud of how good of an actor he had become.

‘‘ I...I’m so grateful for you ‘‘ you said slowly, looking up groggily at your boyfriend.

The alcohol was rushing through your body making you feel more bold, carefree and loving. He gave you his signature smile in answer and wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you closer. 

Then he scanned the room to see if any of the guys were eying you and smirked whenever he’d get eye-contact with one of them; knowing that you belonged to him.

Mashiho

Being naturally suspicious of you, this would strike him as you trying to manipulate your way into getting more freedom so you could run away - why else would you do it?

Logically he’d try to reason with himself several times, arriving at the conclusion that why would anyone want affection or love a partner that treated them like he did? Mashiho wasn’t delusional. 

He knew of other people’s relationships and the dynamics that come into play. He also knew of what was right and wrong. So did he feel bad then for being abusive? - no.

Therefor, always seeing things from your point of view made him feel confused in this situation like what was your ultimate goal or what would you gain by doing this?

Your call down the hall received no answer. Furrowing your eyebrows, you walked down it to see if your boyfriend really was in his office or if he had ignored you.

Jaehyuk

He was also happy and paranoid, but unlike Mashiho it wasn’t that extreme to the point where he couldn’t even enjoy those moments you shared.

The more you do it the less suspicious or scared he’ll be every time. It felt scary at first because it felt like you had it all figured out and was only asking for affection since you felt guilty. 

It was a stupid and insecure thought, he knew that and he even told you by around the 4-5th time that he felt paranoid and weird about it. When you explained that you actually wanted his affection and that it was your only motive - that made him a little bit more comfortable and relaxed.

Jaehyuk would from that point on initiate contact a lot more often, as well as doing small things for you like buying you flowers or food - any way he could show his love really.

‘‘ I got you something ‘‘ 

You looked up from your phone curiously and then came over to look at what his eyes had previously been looking at.

His eyes sparkled as he looked at you full with love. He couldn’t wait for you to open it, knowing you would love it.

And you did! 

Your shined with happiness as you looked at the box with your favourite food in it, packed nicely next to a card that said ‘’ I hope you enjoy, love Jae :) ‘’.

Asahi

He felt embarrassed that the sudden change and any neediness from you made him blush visibly. You’d tease him about it, making him turn even more red. 

But his heart felt happy, happier than ever before. Any time you’d look at him with those puppy-eyes, he’d fold; ready to do whatever you wanted and smiling as you both enjoyed it.

Asahi’s love language was physical touch so you can imagine how long he had craved this - spending most of his time zoning out while daydreaming about the day that you accepted him and wanted his love - even doing it at work, which he’d gotten in trouble for a few times.

‘‘ I’m done now, want to make dinner? ‘‘ your boyfriend asked, smiling warmly down at you.

Your eyes lit up and you hurried over to the kitchen counter.

‘‘ Can you hug me first? ‘‘ you said playfully, having craved affection all day from being separated.

His facade fell down immediately, cheeks quickly turning red and an uncontrollable smirk plastered on his face.

Yedam

Expect to get love-bombed - showered in gifts, acts of service, kisses, hugs and compliments until it gets almost suffocating.

Yedam had waited a long time for you to show any want for affection so when you did he took it as that you fully embraced him and loved him back. Hence, the love-bombing and clinginess.

It would subside after some time if you stopped being as affectionate back. He’d take a step back and realise it was doing the opposite to what he wanted, and he missed you initiating it and asking for it instead.

He had always been ‘’ too much ‘’ in relationships. Scaring them away with his extreme obsessions and idealisations that his partners often didn’t live up to - but all you needed to do was reassure him that you two were okay and he’d tone it down.

Your boyfriend gave you another kiss, the fourth since he said he was in a hurry and leaving. You couldn’t stop yourself from rolling your eyes, almost cringing as his lips touched yours yet again; this didn’t go unnoticed by Yedam who immediately drew back and stared at you.

‘‘ Why the fuck did you do that for? ‘‘

You felt your breath get caught in your throat, scared that he was angry.

‘‘ We can...talk about it when you get home, but you’re late please go! ‘‘

Doyoung

This guy also idealises you a ton. He thinks you’re the most important, beautiful and amazing person to ever grace this earth. 

He would do anything for you - so naturally he’d freak out over this new version of you. One he never expected to come no matter how long he’d wait for it. Doyoung had prepared for you to hate him for the rest of your life because of your yandere situation but he was okay with that, whatever meant he could be close to you.

So this was huge - if you did that, then that must mean he’s special to you. Maybe he is even up there with being an angel gracing the earth just like you were in his mind.

‘‘ D-did I do something different, why, why now? ‘‘ your head whipped up to look at your boyfriend.

It was the first time you had just walked up to him and hugged him and his reaction was somewhat expected. His eyes looked wide and crazed, as if his mind was going at a thousand miles per second.

‘‘ I-I don’t know what I did...’‘ he was ignoring you, talking to himself and then the grin that spread across his face as he did so, creeped you out so much you had to get out of his hold.

Haruto

He was indifferent, maybe even a bit disgusted. You were mostly a sadistic game to him and nothing more. Maybe he did love you underneath all that complicated psychoticness but he wasn’t sure how to deal with that.

Similarly to the others, he’d be suspicious. Treating you horribly, one could only expect the opposite response right? So why now? Why would you ask him to hold you when you were sleeping - why would you ask him to kiss you before he left every morning?

Perhaps you knew he loved you deep down and wanted to get a reaction or to punish him for how he’d treated you. His coldness wouldn’t change, however he would do what you asked; trying to reason with himself that the butterflies that sparked up any time he did, was just a normal reaction.

‘‘ I love you ‘‘ you buried your face into his arms lovingly, feeling extra affectionate that morning.

Maybe it was due to him going away for a few days but normally that would make you excited as it was the perfect opportunity to escape.

‘‘ Why aren’t you saying it back? ‘‘ your voice sounded embarrassingly whiny, which Haruto of course noticed.

‘‘ Shut up ‘‘ he said sternly. 

And just like that your cuteness was gone and rejected, he pushed you off of him and walked away like you meant nothing to him.

Jeongwoo

He knew it would happen sooner or later due to his hard work, but it was still a huge surprise when one day it just came.

Jeongwoo had been away for a few months touring, only occasionally being able to facetime you or visit in between. Every day had become monotone and his guards watched you closely; meaning you couldn’t escape, only accept your current situation. 

After a while it started to become lonely too. You missed having someone to talk to, be woken up by or have meals with. You missed even the petty fights and his laugh and voice.

They say the heart grows fonder when apart so maybe that’s what made you run into his arms with a big smile on your face when he finally returned home.

Your boyfriend froze - not used to this version of you. Then he relaxed and leaned into it.

When he pulled away to look at you, he looked happier than you’d ever seen him, a look of longing like he had missed you terribly in his eyes.

‘‘ Finally you’ve missed me ‘‘ 

Junghwan

A mix of all the members. Sort of confused and caught off guard - his age meant he had less experience with romantic situations and he hadn’t received much affection or love from dating before.

Since this was all new, he’d go to his hyungs to ask for advice. It was a sort of bonding experience since it forced Junghwan to be vulnerable - but their kind words quickly made him warmer to you each day that passed by.

It would start out small; the first time you kissed his cheek he’d awkwardly squirm away and probably leave for a few hours talking to his hyungs, making you wonder what you did wrong.

The next morning he took you out on a walk and at the end of it he’d do what you had done, kiss your cheek. His cheeks heated up immediately and he cleared his throat, looking away at whatever was in sight to distract himself long enough until the redness was gone, so he could face you again.

Your cheeks almost hurt so much from smiling.

‘‘ Thank you ‘‘ was all you could say, happy he could relieve you of your worries from the day before.

..Okay in retrospect maybe Asriel is the type of sibling to mess with Kris somewhat but like. He tried confessing his sins of ‘dropping Yoshi in a pit to see what would happen’ to Father Alvin. He tries to confesses KRIS’ ‘video game sins’ to Father Alvin. Their religion doesn’t even have a concept of confession. 

If the fate of the world were at stake I feel like he’d be a teensy weensy widdle bit more. Straightforwards. About it all. Instead of making up a lengthy backstory about ‘yes. I have TOTALLY been completely alone in this town for an indefinite period of time. I really was created by a Dark Fountain and AM NOT your brother.’ I feel like admitting that he is Asriel and somehow created or happened across this world would only add to his credibility, and unless there’s some massive, massive twist being hidden from us... coming up with a whole fake backstory strikes me as somewhat confusing? 

If it was established that someone is specifically HUNTING DOWN Asriel in the Dark World, or that Ralsei is afraid of the Roaring Knight or of Gaster or something, then that may make some sense. But while Ralsei sometimes hides his identity, he doesn’t seem FRIGHTENED of anyone finding out his identity. Once he reveals his face to Susie and Kris at the end of chapter 1, as I mentioned previously, he’s pretty comfortable going through all of Cyber City hatless, and spending time around Card Kingdom’s denizens hatless. Even around King, who is probably the Darkner most willing to betray him to the Knight if the opportunity arose. Even around Spamton, who being the embodiment of a spam email would probably sell his identity to Satan for one corn chip. 

So I just? Maybe a reason will become apparent later but I can’t see a single joking or serious reason for Ralsei to be Asriel hiding his identity from everyone else? 

I could see him being a shapeshifter borrowing Asriel’s identity to make himself appear more trustworthy. I could see him being Kris’ headband. I could see him being someone’s idealized version of Asriel. I could see him being the reflection of a much younger Asriel, before he became so popular in Hometown. But I really, really, really do not think he’s the current young adult Asriel presently in college.

spending more time on twitter honestly made me realize that yes, being in echo chambers is in fact a problem, but not for the reason you think.  Exposing yourself to ideas you don’t like isn’t going to make you more nuanced per se, but it will give you much needed perspective.  Most importantly, it gets you used to the idea of not levying mob justice and “normal people” and your army of followers for your petty grudges when the greater population is malicious centrists who do not give a shit about you. 

When every big blog moved from tumblr to twitter and immediately tried to do the “get a load of this dude its so gross! die! delete! block me!” type thing over their petty grudges they all immediately got bodied by the armies of asshole youtuber fans.  And while most of them immediately deleted, others were actually smart enough to realize that people like that are the actual problem and that we all honestly have bigger fish to fry than r-worded community infighting.  But the fact is, it will change you and make you a better person at communicating your ideals, you just need that catalyst of calling a guy whose clearly a nazi a nazi and then having 50 people with yoshi avatars go “nah bruh this aint it fr they live rent free in your head”.  Not only does it build character and humility, but after seeing how horrible so many people can be it makes you realize that maybe the things you care about don’t actually matter in the big picture when compared to the problems with society at large.

Then after you stare into the void of political inanity you come back to tumblr and there are people still discussing mousegirls and the ethics of anime.
