Meanwhile she confessed her feelings for you.
•You would help her to get through bad times when the traumatic experiences came back in nightmares or flashbacks. Her therapist would teach you both many methods on how to help with the trauma you both went through.

•Yoon Jiwoo rarely said the three words. At the same time she knew that she loves you since she first saw you. Even though she pushed away these feelings to get through the grief of losing her dad. Sometimes she still blamed herself and missed her dad. At some night she couldn't believe that he is truly gone.
•You both marry each other at a place where you both feel like home. Only your friends and best friend were there when you both marry each other. She gave you to Yoon Jiwoo in front of the place. You both have tears in your eyes when you say your vows and I do. It's rare that Jiwoo cried in front of you.
•Yoon Jiwoo started a serious and deep conversation with you about having children together two years after being married. She knew she wanted you to carry the most of the children.
•You both cried together when you gave birth. She never left your side and became overprotective in every journey of your pregnancies.
•Yoon Jiwoo taught your children a lot about life. Especially how to not trust every person that they may meet in their lives. How you both love your children unconditionally. You both protected your children as good as you could together.

˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ ACE my name characters with their idol!s/o (headcannons!)
choi mujin —
- this man will buy anything that has your name on it including the sport car that you created
- you had been given the chance to create your own car and when mujin found out about it he immediately tried to buy it
- key word tried
- apparently your fans were counting down the seconds that it came out
- and when it was finally his turn the bright screen of his computer said that the cars had been sold out already
- this man would become so frustrated by your fans bc no one would give up their car, no matter the price he offered
- when you came home from practice you found your boyfriend furiously tapping at his computer while a cigarette hung from his lips
- he looked up at you when he heard you entering his office
- when you asked what happened he told you that your fans are crazy maniacs
- apparently one of your fans tried to bribe him to get him to get you sign their turtle in exchange for the car
- as he annoyingly tapped his finger against his desk you walked up to him with a smile before kissing him
- he returned the kiss while pulling you onto his lap, his arms wrapping around your waist while yours were wrapped around his neck
- after a short make out session you parted with a bright smile on your face
- istg your man’s face dropped when you told him that you already owned the original car
- but he’d still try to buy your car from you bc he really wants that shit with your name on it
- you eventually gave in with a smile before you handed him the keys to now his new car
- he’s inseparable with that mf car
- and he’d get so mad whenever there’s a scratch on it or if there’s a splatter of blood that accidentally got on it during a fight
- he’ll side eye any other car he’s in bc it’s not as good as yours
- your groups songs would automatically be downloaded so he listens to it anytime he’s driving
- one time taeju got into his car and mujin insisted on driving and when he turned on his playlist which is filled with your songs taeju eyed him with a raised brow
- just imagine two feared gangsters listening to girly pop music with a straight face while chasing some other gangster that betrayed them
do gangjae —
- gangjae loved it when you did interviews but he really really hated it when you had to lie about your relationship
- he knew you had to do it bc of your company but it didn’t stop his annoyance though
- especially not as he watched your most recent interview in his car while a cigarette hung from his lips
- he had a fond look in his eyes as he watched you laugh at something that your members had said
- but when the man interviewing you asked you about your love life and you awkwardly laughed while denying having a relationship he could feel his fists tighten against his phone
- he watched the rest of the interview and glared at anyone that tried to speak to him
- later that evening when you came back home he grinned at you before kissing you heatedly
- the rest of the evening was spent in your shared bedroom and when you finally fell asleep gangjae took your phone
- he unlocked it quietly before opening instagram
- gangjae glanced at your sleeping form in his arms with a slight smile while choosing a couple of pictures of the two of you
- in one of the pictures his arms were wrapped around you while you held your phone
- while in another one the two of you were in his car after an event that you went to, he remembers picking you up and right before the two of you were about to kiss he snapped a picture of the moment claiming he didn’t have enough pictures of the two of you together
- the last picture of you was a mirror pic where you had your arms wrapped around his neck while kissing his cheek lovingly, his tattoos and abs were full on display and your body was pressed against his
- gangjae skimmed through the pictures one more time, putting a red heart in the caption before he posted the pictures for the whole world to see
- he quickly shut your phone off making sure it was silenced so nobody would disturb your time together before he wrapped his arms further around you placing a kiss against your nose
- the next morning you let out a groan but you weren’t able to reach for your phone because your boyfriend tightened his grip around your waist
- eventually you were able to escape from his grip and when you finally took your phone you saw a billion notifications from everyone you knew
- you furrowed your brows in confusion before replying to your manager who was talking about some instagram post so you immediately went to your page only to see a few pictures of you and gangjae blowing up
- your mouth fell open and your phone fell from your hand as you felt your boyfriend crawl behind you to kiss your neck
- ‘what’s wrong baby?’
- you quickly turned to him, already having figured out that he was the one to post those pictures
- he immediately calmed you down telling you that he’ll fully take the blame for it with a grin on his face while you complained to him with your head buried into his shoulder
- so for the next two weeks you were busy with interviews, lives and press conferences while gangjae enjoyed that he could finally be your proper boyfriend
jeon pildo —
- this man was sitting behind his computer screen waiting for your album to come out before immediately pre ordering it
- even though you told him that you would gladly give him an album for free he refused telling you that he wanted for you to make money out of it
- so he waited three weeks for his album to arrive
- his album arrived in the morning right before he had to leave for work but he couldn’t wait to open it so he took it with him to open during his lunch break despite the fact that his colleagues would tease him for it
- after a quiet morning of sitting at his desk he finally got the chance to open his album instead of eating his lunch
- he tore the carton box that was around the album before finally taking the album into his hands with a smile
- but just before he could even look through the album, his colleagues came in
- hyejin sat down at her desk next to his while glancing at the bright pink album in his hands
- she raised her brow which made pildo roll his eyes at her
- when she asked him what it was he quickly told her that it was his girlfriend’s album
- but when he said that she didn’t realise that he meant it as in that the album was made by you and not bought by you
- he quickly went through your members their pages before stopping at yours
- he took his time to admire you with heart eyes while hyejin looked curiously at his album
- ‘that’s my girlfriend’ pildo said proudly while showing her a picture of you
- ‘she’s pretty’ his partner told him while watching him staring at your pictures with loving eyes and an amazed smile
- and when he finally came to the extras he nervously shifted in his seat praying for one of your photocard
- he took the first pc before flipping it and falling back in his seat when he got one of your members instead of you
- he quickly pushed the pc away hoping that one of the two remaining pc’s is one of yours
- then he flipped the second one and let out a sigh when he got another member who wasn’t you
- he quickly readied himself and flipped the third and last pc a wide smile blooming on his face as he saw your sparkling eyes and kind smile
- pildo immediately send you a picture of his new photocard of you that he could add to his collection before taking his other photocards to try to trade them online with a pc of yours
- with a final smile he put the photocard in his wallet so he could always keep you close to him
jung taeju —
- the thing taeju hated more than anything was when you left for tours because he knew he could never go with you
- so he resorted to watching interviews and concerts of you after a hard day of work and coming home to an empty house
- he called you anytime he could and made a habit of sending you gifts as often as he could
- and you absolutely loved to come back to the hotel while knowing that there would be a present on your bed waiting for you after a long tiring concert that had absolutely drained you
- you opened your door while quickly bidding your members goodnight before closing your door with a sigh
- you entered your bedroom and a smile grew on your face when you saw an expensive looking gift neatly placed on your bed
- you pulled your phone from your pocket and quickly pressed on your boyfriend’s contact number
- taeju picked up his phone at the first ring while laying on your shared bed with his arm underneath his head
- a smile spread across his face when he heard your voice for the first time that day while you jumped onto the bed, quickly putting him on loudspeaker to be able to open the package he send you
- he quietly listened to you gleefully unpacking the expensive vivienne westwood necklace that he picked for you himself
- as you thanked him endlessly he asked to face time you so he would be able to see you and you happily did it while thanking him endlessly
- you put on the necklace and showed it to him while he compliments you endlessly
- for the next few hours you talk with each other until you fell asleep while taeju watched you lovingly already counting down the days that you come back home to him
- but he was pleased enough when he noticed you wearing your new necklace at your next concert
yoon jiwoo —
- you and your girlfriend were walking hand in hand through the empty streets while talking quietly with one another
- your relationship had to be kept secret so your company told you to tell people that she was just your friend
- fortunately jiwoo didn’t mind that much because she was a pretty private person and liked to be able to walk around without dispatch taking secret pictures of her
- as the two of you were talking about your weekend plans she noticed a group of high schoolers following the two of you while giggling loudly
- she tugged on your hand which made you turn towards her with a soft smile before it slightly fell at her serious expression
- you looked at the direction she nudged her head to before you smiled warmly at the teenagers that froze when they noticed you saw them
- after a few seconds they ran up to you before bowing at you and complimenting you for your hard work which made you smile wider
- you noticed jiwoo letting go of your hand when your fans asked for some pictures but decided to talk with her after the encounter
- a few minutes later you were having a friendly conversation with them but you noticed them squirming nervously while glancing at your girlfriend every few seconds
- your fingers grazed hers for a second and it seemed to wake her up from her daze
- your fans left shortly after and you quickly linked arms with your girlfriend again while continuing your walk
- when you asked what was wrong she just shrugged so you decided to drop the subject noticing that she wasn’t in the mood to talk to about it
- you quickly looked around before dragging your confused girlfriend into an empty, darkly lit street before kissing her softly
- she softened into the kiss and put her hand on your cheek
- and you knew she knew what you wanted to tell her when you parted with heavy breathing and soft smiles

HOW TO GET THE GIRL: A LOVERS GUIDE
Tumblr media
CHAPTER NINE: about jiwoo. (1.6k)
WARNINGS: angst, reader is referred to as woman.
◃ previous ep. ⊹ masterlist ⊹ next ▹
Tumblr media
Weeks have gone by since you started tutoring Riki. To say you've started to like him more was a vast understatement. Once you dropped your "cold" act that lasted for a mere 3 sessions, You started to become accustomed to him.
Although you had gone many years without interacting with each other, it felt like the spark you had imagined between you two never left.
The both of you had grown comfortable with each other to the point you started to interact with each other outside of the usual library doors.
At first, it was embarrassing to have your name shouted at the other end of the hallway, however, it turned into a typical routine where instead of keeping your head down and speed-walking away from him to avoid lingering eyes, you'd wave back.
During these study sessions, you learned more and more about him. How he microwaves his strawberries, he has a dog named Bisco, he can play piano, and he has a large fear of bugs that you've sadly had to learn the hard way after he accidentally pushed you aside to run away from a nearby wasp.
Something else you learned about Niki was that his grades did not match up with his knowledge. Sure, he was inconsistent with his attendance and would rarely turn in classwork if any at all, but he was smart and an extremely fast learner.
It had gotten to the point where you'd just set a small bulk of his past-due assignments in front of him and study for your other classes until he finished.
The study sessions quickly turned into more of a hangout. Staying in the library together hours after completing whatever workload had stacked up over the week to share hushed laughter and talk about everything under the sun until the library had to close down for the night.
You'd even go as far as to call him your friend, and so would members of the Newspaper Club.
"You're in a rush." Lily offhandedly mentioned as she typed away on the school's computer. Her posture had straightened at the sound of you hastily packing away your belongings but her eyes refused to stray away from the screen.
"Hm? Oh, yeah. I'm supposed to meet up with Riki." you answered before slinging the book bag over your shoulder.
"To do what exactly? It's a Friday and I thought you only tutored him on Sundays." J suddenly butted in, a playful yet accusatory tone to her voice as she suddenly invested herself in the conversation.
"I don't know actually, he asked to meet me at the school gates when our session ended."
"Oh? Is he walking you home? That's pretty cute." Yoon commented, a teasing smile growing on her face. "I don't know why he would, I mean— he's never done it before. So, I don't see why he'd want to do it now." You replied with fake unconcern.
You were being honest when you said you didn't know why Riki had suddenly made this decision to meet you at the school gate, but if it was to start walking you home on a frequent basis, you're 100% sure your knees would give out.
"Did you guys need any more help before I head out?" You suddenly questioned, trying to shift focus away from your last comment.
"Nope, we got it from here. Only thing we have left to do anyway is restock the printer paper." J assured with a small smile before hoisting herself up to sit on a desk.
"Okay, I'll see you guys later then." You quickly replied as you made your way towards the exit,
Lily only hummed in response to your statement before saying "Have fun, don't get into any trouble."
A smile crept onto your face as you resisted the urge to roll your eyes at how much she sounded like a Mom sending her daughter off. "And text us when you make it back home!" Seeun responded, suddenly bordering out of the storage closet with a box filled to the brim with different bulks of paper.
"Okay, Moms, will do."
Tumblr media
"About time." Riki groaned out, loud enough for your approaching figure to hear as you made your way into eye view. "Oh, shut up," you said as he pushed himself off of the gates.
"I feel like I've been waiting for forever." He whines as he follows behind your figure. "Yeah, right. Couldn't have been waiting that long since it looks like you went home to drop off your backpack." You pointed out, silently relishing in the feeling of freedom as you got farther and farther away from school grounds.
"I didn't feel like carrying that thing around all day. Plus, it'll be easier to carry yours." He stated nonchalantly.
He reached over to slip your bag off of your shoulders before flinging it across his own, his delicate fingers brushing over your own as he did so. But just as quick as his touch arrived, it was just as quick to leave.
His simple actions shouldn't ruffle you like they do, yet it still happens. You know that when Riki does things like this he never has an underlying intention which makes it all the more pathetic when you feel your stomach brim with butterflies the moment you make skin-to-skin contact with him.
You cleared your throat before wrapping your arms around your stomach, a meek attempt at trying to calm the raging storm of feelings that was happening inside of you.
"So, why did you want to walk me home all of a sudden?" You asked, shifting your gaze around the growing shrubbery to avoid looking in his direction.
"Oh, right. I wanted to ask you something." He shyly uttered, his free hand that wasn't holding your bag made its way to the back of his neck, nervously rubbing it as he looked down at his sneakers.
You glanced in his direction to see that whatever was on his mind had been weighing in on him for a while. "Yeah, what's up?" you asked softly before shifting your gaze forward.
"Um, you're friends with Jiwoo, right?" he asked, out of the corner of your eye you could see him turn towards you. Trying to gauge your reaction and see what you'd say.
It took a moment for the question to fully translate in your mind as if he was speaking a foreign language you had never heard before. Once it did register in your head you couldn't help the shock that overtook your body, nearly making you stumble over your feet.
You opened your mouth to speak but no words came out, it was as if you were a fish out of water. Your mouth had suddenly gone dry and it felt as if you saw the fantasy of your TV romance crashing in front of your eyes. "Yeah, Jiwoo and I are really good friends." You finally managed to push out.
"Why do you ask?" You quickly follow up, your eyebrows unknowingly furrowing.
"I asked because I wanted to know if she was single." He replied, his tone went from nervousness to giddiness in a matter of seconds.
You couldn't turn towards him because you could hear the smile in his voice at the mere mention of her name. You were afraid that if you saw how he beamed at the thought of her that the butterflies that were swarming in your stomach just a few seconds earlier would escape onto the concrete in front of you.
"She's single," you affirmed with a stiff nod.
"Do you think you could set me up with her?" He immediately asked, a hopeful tone in his voice. Each word that came out of his mouth felt like a blow to the gut, killing off each butterfly one by one.
Your head shook 'no' before you could even form the words. "I-...I don't think I could."
"Oh, come on, please?" He suddenly pleaded, turning towards you once again. He wanted you to look at him, whether intentionally or not he knew that if you made eye contact with him you'd fall into his trap just like everyone else.
"Just get one of the basketball players to help. Or one of their cheerleader girlfriends." you tried to reason. "It's not the same," he muttered, tilting his head towards the sky, another whine threatening to come out of his mouth.
"Come on, you'd be the perfect wing-woman. you're good friends with her so it'd be easy and less weird when someone she barely knows tries to set her up with me," he argued, adding onto why he wanted you to set him up with her.
You bit your lip in contemplation. It felt like the obvious answer was 'NO!' but another part of you wanted to agree to set them up. You were happy with the relationship you and Riki had started to build together and you didn't want an elementary crush to get in the way of that.
There was always the lingering possibility that you and him were only ever meant to be friends and nothing more, and maybe, just maybe, Jiwoo was the one for him.
"What do I get out of this?" You quietly asked after the lingering silence.
"Anything you want. If you do this for me I promise I'll pay you back" He swiftly responded before stopping in his tracks, instinctively making you stop alongside him. "Please, just do this for me." He begged, his hands fidgeting with the rings on his fingers as he waited for your answer.
"Fine, I'll help you."

DEATH TW, MURDER TW
You came into the world like a wildfire— unsuspecting, quick and deadly. The moment you took your first breath, your mother took her last. This instance, though tragic, led you to form a deep bond with your father. It became you and him against the world in a single moment, and that mentality grew as you became older.
You were five when you and your father moved to New York. Your father had wanted to get a fresh start, to abandon the home that contained your mother’s memories and lingering essence, and you trailed after him like always. He wasn’t rich by any means, but he saved enough money to open up SOLAR MECHANICS, a family-owned mechanics shop that would later double as a temporary repair shop/safe haven for defective replicants.
You spent your childhood running around the shop and observing the way your father repaired all sorts of vehicles and replicants. Your father often told you that you’d inherit the shop once he was gone, and that knowledge helped enhance your natural curiosity. When you became old enough, you began working as an apprentice under your father’s tutelage. You picked up the tricks of the trade through his steady teaching, and you found yourself in love with the art of repairing items. You thought you’d be content with this life, that your father and your family’s shop was everything you needed, but then tragedy struck four years ago and it shifted your life trajectory forever.
You were helping your father close up one night when the two of you heard a crashing sound from outside the shop. Your father told you to hide while he checked it out, and though you protested the order, you found yourself ducking behind one of the cars you were set to repair. You had hoped that the noise was just a stray animal looking for food, but when a gunshot echoed across the empty shop, you realized it was more serious than you imagined. You raced out of your hiding spot, but it was too late. Your father was dying before you, and all you saw was a glimpse of the intruder as they ran away into the night.
The shop felt empty without your dad— like the soul and life of the place disappeared the moment he drew his last breath. The night replayed in your mind for months as you settled into your role as owner, but even as time went on and business continued to grow, the desire for answers and revenge settled in your heart. This need for vengeance led you to become a vigilante in an attempt to find the person who murdered your father.
During your time as a vigilante, you became more informed about the various underground organizations that occupied New York. One organization, THE WHITE WRAITHS, stood out to you the most. You didn’t know why, but you felt like they were connected to your father’s death. You paid extra attention to any news related to the organization, sabotaged any firearm shipments you caught wind of, and worked to identify the different members in the hopes of uncovering your father’s killer. You became known as the masked vigilante WRAITH— a shadow who looms over The White Wraith's operations and puts a stop to their deeds. Though you’ve hindered the mob, your attempt to find your father’s murderer hasn’t worked so far, but you refuse to give up. You’ll find your father’s killer and avenge your family name, or you’ll die trying.
WANTED CONNECTIONS.

Tumblr media
-------------------------------------------------
- I trust her.
Mu-jin stared at Ji-woo's demeanor with some disbelief.
- That's great. - He looked at the view outside the window and back at her. - But you can't tell her about it.
- But why?
He lowered his head, sighing in annoyance.
- How can you be sure that the first thing she will do is not go to the police? - He raised his voice, looking raised.
He didn't like how attached she was to you. You changed her life completely by giving it something different. He had nothing to do with it. However, that could endanger everything he has been working on.
And he couldn't allow it.
Ji-woo wasn't sure. She wasn't sure that if she told you, you wouldn't report her to the other cops. She wasn't sure you wouldn't just walk away from her life. She wasn't sure if you wouldn't be upset that she was hiding it from you. But she wanted to try. You were the only important person who didn't turn away from her. She loved you. She couldn't have dreamed of a better girlfriend. However, it scared her. What if you leave her because of who she is?
You trusted Ji-woo completely. You loved her too. She could always rely on you, and you always loved her company. You knew her father died in an accident... At least that's what she told you. You knew how difficult it was for her.
You loved watching her practice, how she fought, how she was in action. It always terrified you how she returned from each mission with another set of wounds. To this day you remember how she helped you overcome your grandfather's mourning. You knew in a soulless, cold world, you could really trust her.
...
I guess you got it wrong after all.
You looked at her, unable to believe what you were hearing.
- Are you telling me you lied to me all this time? - you asked in a sad, disappointed voice. You couldn't believe it.
- (y/n) understand, I couldn't tell you-
- We are a couple for a year! And now I find out your name isn't even Oh Hye-jin!
You rested your hands on the desk as a headache shot through you, making you uncomfortable. It's been a long time since you felt so cheated by someone you loved.
- I was afraid you would leave me. - She stared at the floor, wishing she had told you sooner.
- For fuck's sake! We are in a relationship and we should trust each other! You wanted to keep it quiet? Keep it from me? That you belong to the gang you should pursue?
You rose up, rubbing your temples. You frowned as you tried to process her earlier words.
- Anything else you'd like to tell me? - you asked, trying to calm down, still being saddened.
- I did it because of my father.
You looked at her in surprise.
- What?
- My father... didn't die in the accident. He was shot in front of my eyes.
You looked at her with even greater surprise as she continued.
- For years I have been trying to get the person who killed my father.
She told you everything. Literally everything.
- I'm sad I had to find out about this myself. - You walked over to her, putting your hand on her shoulder. - But are you sure if it's a good solution?
She looked at you confused.
- What do you mean?
- Is death for death good? Maybe... you should start living one real life before something serious happens to you?
- And stop this now?
She looked at you like you were a freak. Did you say something wrong?
- I don't want you to get in trouble-
- My whole life is one big trouble. I can't help it. I have to avenge my father. At all costs.
You looked at her, not wanting to believe it. Is this girl you fell in love with? It was with her that you felt safe just a few days ago? You went to a drawer and took a large travel bag out of the closet. She looked at you in surprise.
- What are you doing?
You sighed helplessly as you looked at your photo together on the cupboard.
- Maybe... maybe we should give ourselves a week or two... I have to think about it.
You started taking your clothes thinking about what was just going on. And how fast it happened.
- You're just going to leave me?
- I'm not leaving you. I could not. - You zipped up your bag and looked at her. - I love you, H- Ji-woo. I just want to be alone a little.
She didn't say anything as you put the bag over your shoulder. You walked over to her and placed a little kiss on her cheek. You saw a tear run down her face.
- Don't do anything stupid.
Several days have passed. You were sad. You were alone. Instead of going back to your loved one, you were in an empty, cold apartment. Instead of eating together in a nice bar in the city, you were eating cold, quick food. After a whole day, you didn't hear the laughter that made the world seem calmer. There was a deaf, unpleasant silence.
But you didn't want to act like that. You didn't know when you could get information out of nowhere that Ji-woo was murdered during the mission. You wanted to see her distrustful face. Black, pleasantly smelling hair. Skinny, still beautiful figure. You adored that girl. She was important to you. No matter what her name was. You loved her.
You came back from normal shopping, feeling your daily routine. You started to hear footsteps behind you, causing a slight scare.
You turned to see the dark hooded figure walking blindly ahead. You didn't even notice when she was so close to you that she did not consciously strike against you.
Moving away, the figure looked up quickly as her eyes filled with tears.
- (y/n), I-
You hugged her. It's been a long time since you missed her touch as much as you do now. Her hands gently rested on your back, rubbing it with equal longing.
You stepped back, looking at her. You noticed her face, wounds, tired, despairing expression on her face.
- What happened?
And yet it happened. The evil with which she had gotten into turned against her. Your heart fell at her words, hearing her whole life collapse in a few days.
You were sitting with her head resting on your chest. You calmed her down and talked about what happened between you two. The park bench wasn't the most intimate place to make such confessions, but you honestly didn't care. But you didn't know someone else wanted to take advantage of it.
You noticed how her head rose slightly, and her eyes widened as she was silent.
- Something's wrong? - You asked curiously.
Following her gaze, you noticed a figure in black sitting on a motorcycle. You didn't know who it wwas. Their helmet was obscuring their face. You noticed him reaching out towards you, which was not normal. It took you a moment to notice the clamped pistol in his hand.
You realized it was aiming at you. With a smooth move, you pressed Ji-woo against you, protecting her. The sound of the gun sounded in your ears, distracting you. You felt the pain exploding in the back of your body... damn it.
Ji-woo moved away in horror, studying what was wrong with you. Turning around, she finally found the wound. The red color, spreading down your back, staining the fabric more and more.
- N-no, no, no, no
She started to panic, terrified.
- T-take it easy- *cough* I-I don't feel good.
Your eyes started to close by themselves, I you're suddenly losing a lot of blood. Soon you were unconscious.
Ji-woo couldn't just leave you. You needed help. She managed to get you to the hospital, where she spent three hours thinking you might never talk to her again. Tears ran down her cheeks as she thought you might not get up anymore and scold her to eat more. She thinks that you may never get drunk with her again after a long, overwhelming day. All those little and bigger moments spent with you passed through her head with depressing sadness. She just wanted to see you laughing at silly anecdotes about animals again.
But now she had no choice. You were the only one stopping her from killing Mu-jin. He tried to take you from her. She couldn't let him live. Mu-jin a man she trusted and who cleaned up the most important people in her life like garbage.
You were lying in the hospital bed recovering, unconscious. You had no idea how much had happened in your absence. You, however, lay drowned in a deep sleep.
But the dream was over.
- She's in a very weak state, she hasn't woken up yet.
After these words, you were cut off by sleep again, coming back at a bad time.
And she watched. She looked at your warm, flawless body. She was looking at a pale beauty in a hospital gown.
Your eyes parted slightly as you got used to the strong light. You were sure you were in the hospital. On your right side, you could feel your head on your legs. The head is covered with dark, familiar curls.
You raised your left hand, stroking her calm head. She immediately moved up, looking at you with her red-from-crying eyes.
- Hi.
Tears filled her swollen eyes as she moved closer to you, her lip quivering.
- Don't ever do that again!
She hugged you, with relief and warmth, feeling the joy spread through her veins. She has never been so open to touch and even in relationships it took you a long time to gain her trust.
You braided your fingers into her hair, kissing her forehead a couple of times. Pulling back, she looked at you, cupping your cheeks.
- I love you (y/n). - she kissed you passionately, joyful at the touch of your sweet lips. She rested her forehead against yours, eyes closed. - I don't want to lie to you anymore.
- I love you too, Ji-woo.
She was sitting next to you, rubbing your arm with her bandaged hand. You wanted to leave the hospital to spend the whole day with her.
You looked at her with a smile, and at the view outside the window.
- Let's go to Jeju Island.
She looked at you in surprise at the sudden words.
- What?
- My parents bought me a house on Jeju Island for my eighteenth birthday. - You looked at her smiling. - I want to take you there.
She looked at you as a small smile crossed her face.
- I couldn't dream of anything else.

The biggest issue truly isn’t the ship. Its fine if people ship it. It’s whatever. The bigger issue is the fact that people are willfully and wildly misinterpreting both Mujin and Jiwoo to try and justify that their romantic love is canon. Ship Mujin and Jiwoo all you want, but at least be honest that there’s absolutely zero evidence to support that it’s canon.
i was watching my name thinking that mujin and jiwoo had a father/daughter relationship and i come on to tumblr only to find out that y’all are SHIPPING them???!!!??

My Star 2 episodes 7-8: both confirmation and plot twists abound
Short summary:
Me: I want to know what is really going on in Jiwoo’s head
Show: here ya go
Me: thanks I hate it
So. I’m looking back at all of my early theories and have concluded that this director is a damn genius.
Because (as some people pointed out already) we are positioned in the role of the friends, the villagers, people with imperfect knowledge who are drawn to take sides in a confused rush to fix things or Figure It Out. And these two episodes really drummed down on that.
The breakup: I theorized that Jiwoo didn’t just break up with Seojoon because he felt lonely, and I was both right and very wrong in that assumption. It wasn’t JUST his loneliness, some sense of dissatisfaction—he was dealing very quietly with some intense self-loathing and lingering feelings of unworthiness. Imagine being that angsty little turtle and then someone so bright, so dazzling thinks you are amazing—it’s both wonderful and awful, because Jiwoo thinks himself a burden to Seojoon, something holding him back, and that’s why it’s so important we get the other perspective here. Because when we see Seojoon turning down his friends’ party in his honor without regret to go home to Jiwoo (we are vaguely aware someone is filming a live show of it) it’s sweet devotion and care. But when we see that video from Jiwoo’s perspective, it’s the straw breaking the camel’s back, the reason he thinks he needs to leave. So while there was something that happened between preparing the cake and his leaving, it wasn’t something external—it was internal.
Jiwoo’s mental health: Other people have already posted well-thought-out studies on depression and self-loathing in the show. In regards to his treatment of Seojoon, I can only speak from experience to say that the thing about depression is, even if you have struggled with depression for years, you can still miss or misinterpret signs of it in other people, you can still miss how they are feeling. You can get so caught up in what’s in your head, it warps how you see your relationships with other people. We’ve been talking about how great Seojoon has been—and that really drives home that being in a relationship, even with someone incredible who you love, cannot fix you.
The scandal/ The revelations about his parents and the village scam scandal just gives Jiwoo more reasons in his head—as Yoon Seul points out—to think Seojoon is better off without him. He looks absolutely crushed to see the online hate against Seojoon starting, he has to think that’s because of him. Jiwoo really didn’t want to hurt Seojoon in the long run—he thought by driving him away again and again, he was doing them both a favor. It’s not the big reveal of Evil Scheming that I was kind of expecting, but tbh the first season set us up for that belief (well played again, Hwang Da-Seul).
The breakup’s effect: And the thing is, I have to agree with what is being said: no, this does not excuse Jiwoo’s treatment of Seojoon. It explains it, but does not excuse it. Nor is it meant to excuse it—I’ve worried and hurt multiple loved ones during my low periods without intending harm, and coming to terms with that is really not about getting forgiveness from the other party. Apologizing is important, yes, and I believe Jiwoo still should acknowledge his actions affected other people, but he needs to forgive himself. He needs to work on himself. He needs to do that for himself, not because of anyone else. Seojoon can forgive him or not (let’s be honest, he already kinda has without even knowing everything).
My ideal ending for this: they are both in therapy. IF IT IS GOOD FOR BOTH OF THEM, they have little coffee shop meetups—they aren’t calling it dates, not yet. There’s no pressure or expectation. Just honest conversations with each other. Maybe holding hands, maybe discussing a future together where they take care of each other AND themselves. Maybe just sitting together and healing. The point the show is trying to make is that this isn’t about romance at all costs—it’s about taking care of yourself, not necessarily so you can be with someone properly but so you can love yourself, because you deserve love.
Regardless of how this ends, I want to shoutout the director again—I can’t think of many other shows that tackle mental illness and breakups so honestly, and certainly not with this care. My only complaint at all is that everything before this got dragged out for 6 episodes of pain and lack of resolution, when after 4ish I think I got the picture there—but it also shows that feelings are messy and people, no matter how close they are to us, don’t just know how we are feeling (love Sung Yoon’s point there).

Something I haven't seen explicitly discussed is my belief that TMS2 is really a story of how unresolved trauma can ultimately create a circle of trauma. JiWoo's deep seeded self loathing went unaddressed for a really long time until it reached its apex-ish during the breakup. And this subsequently triggered SJ's severe abandonment issues. The more JW's trauma went unresolved, the more he suffered and then more SJ eventually suffered too. From episode 8 it was clear that JW believed he was so unimportant in SJ's life that his coping mechanisms eventually convinced SJ that SJ was rightly abandoned by JW and his parents for being such a burden.
Sometimes I feel like the internet (which it's the internet so you know) is rather obsessed with dividing this show into campus about who's wrong, who deserves the most empathy, and who we can be mad at.
I have really felt like TMS2 wasn't really trying to make JW a villain - controversial opinion. If we had seen JW's perspective from the start I think people would have been extremely sympathetic to him. We would have seen a lot of "This is terrible BUT I also understand" or "SJ don't you understand what's happening"
By keeping JW out of it, it allowed the audience to experience what JW's unresolved trauma did to those around him. We didn't have the luxury of rationalizing it or building an emotional connection that would soften the blow of all of JW's cruel words. We saw how this trauma eventually took it's toll on SJ and traumatized him. Even if they do get back together, SJ will probably dread his birthday and there's no way that he won't believe for a really long time that there's something fundamentally burdensome about himself.
My honest takeaway from the show is the importance of dealing with your unresolved issues before it destroys you or those around you.
Oh god anon! I felt like screaming into the void when Jiwoo's neighbour revealed that Jiwoo and Sung Yoon ghosted each other because if that wasn't a clever way to maybe hint at the notion that you carry the wounds of your past into every new relationships, I don't know what is! If you think Hwang de seul was gonna introduce a past lover solely for the purpose of a contrite misunderstanding scene/a love triangle? Nopes.
This aspect of unresolved trauma is also established with Seojoon and his parents, Jiwoo and his parents, Jiwoo and the whole village. Like you said, this is what you get when you do not address trauma head on. It's not enough to know that it's there and point it out loud. Seojoon has an understanding of Jiwoo and his defenses as early as season 1 and you see how this is a fear that always sat at the back of his mind. He is being aware and cautious with Jiwoo. But this is not enough.
I think one of the most heartbreaking thing that happened is that, as you said, Seojoon has completely internalized that there's something inherently wrong about him. He casually makes those little off-hand, defeatist remarks. He is too much or not enough for people to stick around. Even if they do get back together and Seojoon gets an explanation from Jiwoo, it's totally valid to imagine that Seojoon has already been further traumatized. It's hard not to imagine him having to live with the doubts and fears at the back of his head. There's a possibility that he will still try to modulate his behaviour according to Jiwoo's list, even unconsciously so.
All those hints at Seojoon and Jiwoo's pain get too much at times, man. Also, let's call a spade a spade, they both have exhibited extremely alarming behaviour. Seojoon does not sleep, does not eat, medicates, gets off his medication when maybe he shouldn't, takes rash decisions and possibly self-harms (not dodging the punch form his co-star). Jiwoo hints that it is only his neighbours who were able to save him. I don't think those are hints which are only there to like...try to show us how passionate they are for each other, how heartbreaking and gut-wrenching this heartbreak is. Those are hints to serious, serious issues.
It's so ironic that I think, if things had been addressed head on, Seojoon and Jiwoo would have helped each other a great deal. None of them could have healed each other with the power of their love alone but their experiences are so similar it's striking. It's the same fears and trauma, simply manifested differently. Jiwoo builds up and then cuts everything loose and runs. He is so fearful of being alone that he runs. Meanwhile, the little things Seojoon did throughout their relationship to ensure that Jiwoo was not lonely? I think those also show how anxious he is in his relationships..How it pushes him to overdo and demand constant reassurance from his partner....Which yeah..Hurts.
Oh. I think TMS2 had no intention to villainize Jiwoo. I still believe, having seen Jiwoo's pov that, although it would not have been the ideal solution for him, he should have still been entitled to break up with Seojoon. The show does not require you to rationalize Jiwoo's decisions. It does not ask you to wait for Jiwoo to be redeemed. it does not ask us to forgive him. You just have to like...deep a little and try to understand.

Spoiles Ahead! 🚧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
MY NAME
Today Netflix released a new Korean drama it was My Name. I have been waiting for this waiting drama for like for a month because it has Han Soo Hee and the poster gave me a badass feeling. I love it when Han Soo Hee plays any tough rile because that suits her and it is sort of HER OWN GENRE.
Now about the drama what can I say I binged it! I only wanted to watch the first 2 episodes only initially but the ending of each episode was a cliffhanger and I just had to watch the next episode!
Yoon Jinwoo was totally lost in her revenge but I liked it when eventually she started to realise everything around her and joined all the dots! She was devastated by her father's death and wanted vengeance because the case was buried. She became a detective to find the killer and the journey of her becoming a detective was spectacular.
The emotions Han Soo Hee portrayed as Yoon Jiwoo was just amazing the vengeance in her eyes, the anguish, her will to kill the person who killed her father was just...AMAZING! I cannot imagine anyone else play the role of Yoon Jiwoo other than Han Soo Hee.
Jeon Pil-do is the lead of the drama and oh please his acting made me fall for him hard. At first, I could not believe he was the same guy from Yumi Cells but then again it's the hair. I loved Pil-do's role. He was the only innocent character in the whole show. His det3ctove skills were stunning. When he first met Yoon Jiwoo he was pissed at her for ruining his sting operation but later when she joined his team and became her partner I loved how their bond just grew.
Pil-do's captain suspected Jiwoo and told him to keep a watch on her and he did but when he did he realised she was after the criminal and she got stabbed to sort of Pil-do I guess. When she was in the operation room Pil-do didn't care about anything he shouted at his captain and just said he will always be with his partner because she was doing the right thing.
When in the later episodes he gets to know who she was his heart ached for her and he helped her! He told her to stop and she was willing to even though they kind of got in sheets after that but he promised her that he would always be there for her. She can always rely on him. The show did him dirty tho in the end.
But it was worth the binge and worth the watch! It was a violebt, dark and brutal drama but it was worth it!
Also, the OST's are wonderful! I loved all the OST's waiting for Spotify to upload the OST's. Aghrrrrrr!!!

The Infinite Realm of Han Sohee
Article by Woman Sense
Han Sohee who wanted to be an irreplaceable actor, was confident. It's already irreplaceable.
Tumblr media
Actor Han Sohee is starting now. She made a good impression as a "national affair woman" in JTBC's drama "The World of the Married" (2020) and became a leading role as a fresh female college student in JTBC's drama "Nevertheless" (2021). And with the Netflix series "My Name", she became the top of the three rabbits, appearance, acting, and action. It is the first time in just four years since its debut with the SBS drama "Into the New World" in 2017.
My Name in which Han Sohee threw off her "pretty" and declared a drastic transformation, is an undercover genre drama depicting the harsh truth and revenge process faced by Jiwoo (Han Sohee) who entered the organization Dongcheon faction under a new name "Oh Hyejin." In the play, Han Sohee plays Hyejin, a member of the organization who loses her father and throws herself to revenge. It is well received for its high-level action acting and delicate acting that goes back and forth between extremes. In the play, Han Sohee worked with Park Heesoon and Ahn Bohyun.
Immediately after its release, "My Name" topped Netflix's "Top 10 Contents Today in Korea." It is creating a syndrome by ranking fourth in the world's Netflix TV show category and sixth in the United States. I met Han Sohee who is currently on a break, at an online production presentation.
Tumblr media
<My Name> is well received worldwide. How do you feel?
It hasn't hit me yet. I didn't know so many people would watch. Thank you. There were many memorable reviews. Among them, it was good to hear that it was different from the way it was shown in the previous work. That's what I wanted to hear.
How was it when you first read the script?
At first, it was difficult to draw the character Jiwoo just by imagining it. It was difficult to define because there were more gestures, situations, and actions for revenge than expressing emotions in words. So I thought that if the color inside and the eraser in the scenario were combined, it could be expressed differently. That's how I approached it.
It showed a very different color of acting from the past works.
The director sent me works, books, and movies that I would like to refer to. I tried to see various things, focusing on those things. I didn't want to start with a clear definition. I wanted to approach the character open.
What is the most focused part of expressing 'Yoon Jiwoo'?
I tried not to lose my goal and direction. Since I had to express things that I had never encountered, I tried to find the intersection between the character and me, especially the intersection inside.
What is the intersection of Jiwoo and Sohee?
If you set a goal, you don't care about water. It's emotional, but I think it resembles me to put the raw things in words and actions. I acted thinking about how to relieve my feelings well when wearing Jiwoo's clothes.
It was first unveiled at the Busan International Film Festival.
I felt good because there would not be many occasions to see my work on such a big screen. I thought my heart was going to explode when the music that announced the start came out. Afterwards, the audience clapped, and I choked up. I was grateful to see many people sitting down despite the COVID-19 situation. I felt responsible when I saw people asking questions about the work. I could feel the sincerity. It was even more so.
It's the first action movie.
The most difficult thing was the early gym scene. It was a scene where I was competing with this person and that person. I remember filming tired in the beginning. The best scene is the scene where they attack each other with a knife without any big action. In a way, it was the best scene because it focused on emotions rather than actions. It remains in memory.
Was there any pressure about the leading role?
Actually, it was burdensome and hard. I relied entirely on the director and on my seniors. In particular, it was a great help because (Park) Heesoon took the center stage. There was also a burden of action, but I enjoyed filming.
I am also curious about the relationship between Jiwoo and Mujin (Park Heesoon).
I think the relationship between Jiwoo and Mujin is more attractive because it is indescribable. He was my father's friend in the beginning, but he becomes another father in the second half. He is a father who raised Jiwoo, who almost lived on the street, strong. And from Mujin's point of view, it is true that the relationship ends only when someone dies. That's what it says in the script.
I heard that you gained 10kg for your work.
With a choco pie, I can gain 5kg.(Laugh) I often got hungry because I exercised a lot. And the martial arts director bought me a lot of chicken noodle soup. The happiest moments of training were snack time and lunch time. After eating well and exercising, I gained 10kg without realizing it.
I think there is a great desire for "transformation." I'm curious about your belief in acting.
I want to act irreplaceable. I want to show myself to the public that I don't even know. I try to find an expression that I can't express without myself. So I want to play various genres and various characters. I want to do it well. It's natural to work hard.
What do you think about the bed scene of Ahn Bohyun?
I thought a lot about how to express it. I think it was not love, but a relationship and scene where Jiwoo could only look like a person.
The favorable reception continued for Jiwoo's outfit and makeup.
The makeup teacher worked hard. Rather than looking pretty, she thought a lot about how to make dark circles look good, or how to make them look a little more tired. So, I often wore makeup to dry my lips. I wanted to look exhausted. In terms of clothes, we focused on the outfits that express the action well.
It is a work that stands out in the emotional line. Wasn't it hard?
In fact, I am not the type of person who reserves energy, but rather the type of person who drives herself to the edge of a cliff while filming a work. So throughout this work, I had a hard time regardless of my day off and filming days. I think I lived as Jiwoo for about five to six months. The director was also worried about my psychological part. It was hard, but I was able to concentrate. It was a scene where I could express myself freely. So I was able to get out of the character quickly.
You said that running toward the goal resembles Jiwoo, but what is Han Sohee's goal?
The goal is to create a state without a goal. In the process of working every day without a break, I felt that I was not using the time I didn't work to benefit rather than setting plans and goals for the day. So I'm trying to spend my days full without a goal and without much thought.
Han Sohee's action is receiving favorable reviews. Have you been working out since "My Name"?
In a way, exercise is very simple. When exercise enters life, many changes occur. So, we are now inseparable from exercising. Since the base of Jiwoo's action in this work is boxing, I am still learning kickboxing. In fact, there is a disappointing part. It would have been better if I learned more kickboxing and filmed. Action is a really cool genre.
You played the action without a stand-in. I wonder how you feel about watching your own action.
Desperate? I really threw my body and acted. Not only me but also all of us did that. I'm proud that the effort and teamwork were revealed in the work.
Is there a line that you personally like the most? Online, "The gangster's daughter has to do this, Mr. X" was chosen as a famous line.
M(Laughs) I think I like Jiwoo because it’s a line that makes change happen. There are lines that are personally sad. After killing Kang Jae, there is a line to Pildo saying, “Do you enjoy living?” I felt a lot of emotions for Jiwoo, who spoke bluntly.
Noir, the female lead.
I don't think it's a gender distinction. Personally, I want you to remember how far a person can fall with the single purpose of revenge for the work <My Name>, and it is a work that expresses it raw. Personally, I really like the genre called noir.

“While filming a work, it is a style that drives itself to the edge of a work. Therefore, it is difficult to distinguish between day off and day of filming throughout the work. I want to act irreplaceable, and I want to show myself to the public that I don't know. It's natural to work hard. I try to find an expression that I can't express without myself. So I want to play various genres and various characters.”

Due to health problems, you rejected the next work. How is it right now?
In fact, it may have been accumulated since the filming of My Name. I don't think I was aware of my physical condition. I thought my mind was tired, not my body, but I didn't feel well. Now I'm doing well while treating and exercising.
Is there any character or genre you want to try?
This role was a character who lived their lives with one person's body. I wonder what it would be like to meet a better character here.
Since 2017, you have been working on your work without a break. Do you want to have a personal time?
I want to have my own time, but I think I forgot how to spend my time. In the past, I rested without doing anything, but these days, I am looking for my lifestyle by watching movies, books, exhibitions, and exercising
You cut your hair short from long hair.
It's comfortable. On the other hand, I want to grow it out, but in fact, I like all kinds of hair. I am grateful to those who want to cut their hair after seeing my short hair.
If you look at SNS, you take lactobacillus well.Is there a special reason?
Lactobacillus love is special.(Laugh) It's actually the easiest medicine to take. It's delicious and it keeps you healthy. I think I kept recommending it to people because the intestinal function must be good to boost metabolism.
I'm also curious about future activities.
My body has gotten a lot better. I think we need time to remove the eraser and empty it. Now, it's time for my time to be complete. Looking at various scripts, I am thinking about how to meet the public.
What hobbies do you have?
I like drawing, but I exercise a lot these days. I also like to binge watch dramas or movies. Sitting on the sofa, crying and laughing alone. That's how I spend the day.
How satisfied are you with this work?
Personally, I hope to find something fun to find the character Jiwoo lives in itself. It's hard for me to evaluate my work, but it's a work that gave me 120% satisfaction. My acting skills are far short. So I'm just grateful to the director.
I’m sorry if there’s miss translation

(Been a while since I’ve done one of these… speaks volumes in itself. Doing this on the app & there will be spoilers—consider yourself forewarned.)
Just saw Netflix’ My Name for the 2nd time today. To say I was enamored would be an understatement; moreover, a disservice. Come to think of it, let’s leave it as alexithymia.
The grit. The gore. The rawness. The complex & 3-dimensional characters brought to life by these actors. I can’t eloquently express it other than, pure chef’s kiss.
And So Hee. Han. So. Hee. Daebak. From standing up to her high school bullies, right down to the final standoff at Liber… and every single narrative in-between.
That scene by the door where she witnessed her father’s murder.
That lucid dream sequence by the sea with locked doors.
That inner battle with her conscience slowly tipping her over the edge of morality.
That mental breakdown of uncovering the lies upon lies she’d been fed with.
That subtle & fragile disposition interspersed with sheer fervor & grit.
I haven’t seen So Hee’s other works, I mean sure, Nevertheless—but I pretty much skipped to scenes involving Jiwan & Sol, so there’s that. As Yoon Jiwoo however, I am unequivocally hooked.
The way she’s managed to pull you in a rollercoaster of emotions.
Daebek.
Though let’s be honest here, it’d be downright unfair to fangirl over just Han So Hee.
The Director. The Ensemble. The cinematography. The music. The minute & low-key quirky tidbits interwoven in the storytelling.
Some might have felt rushed but considering it was less than an hour long, 8-episode series, the production team successfully fused just enough & purposely left out plot lines for the audience’s interpretation & imagination.
Reading between the lines. Subtle hints here & there. Makes for an interesting & interactive viewing experience.
The first episode pans into certificates, medals & trophies on display chronicling how physically adept Jiwoo is—foreshadowing her fighting prowess. As each & every episode unfolds though, we bare witness to how cunning & calculating she becomes.
—Need a diversion? Uses (literal & figurative) smoking gun. Icing on the cake? Leaves & plants said gun on the scene. Killing two birds with one stone.
—Gloves? Nope. Who needs them? Jiwoo clearly doesn’t. No fingerprints on the system? Check.
—Casually looks at lawyer’s business card. Uses number to call said lawyer a few minutes thereafter.
Sure, there was that “Um. What? No.” moment where, yes, she was caught on CCTV. But I think that in itself was driven by utter nonchalance, brazen disregard & resolute resignation.
And let’s not forget Park Hee Soon’s Choi Mujin.
While he had been the baddie, you can’t help but empathize with & root for the big shot crime boss at the start.
Though under false pretenses, he took Jiwoo under his wing when nobody else would have. Mentored & created his own perfect foot soldier.
He kept a picture of him & the person who betrayed him on his desk.
His unmistakable bond he shared with Jiwoo.
Layers & layers of complexity, which we’ve barely scratched the surface of.
And then there’s Ahn Bo Hyun’s Jeon Pildo.
Unpopular opinion, but I could really care less about the injected dose of romance—the camaraderie between him & Jiwoo would’ve sufficed and the storyline could’ve gone either way; can’t be helped, I guess.
Jang Yul. Lee Hak Ju. Kim Sang Ho. The rest of the cast all came to play under Director Kim Jin Min’s vision.
And that final scene was sweet liberation.
All throughout, Jiwoo had been trapped by her relentless desire for vengeance & Choi Mujin’s influence.
I think that 3rd urn symbolizes the death of that Yoon Jiwoo. And at the end, she finally managed to break free & start anew.
Best not sleep on My Name.
