Edge of Twilight (PART 1)

After 20 years on missionary missions, Lethica Nightborne comes back to her "hometown" to take care of the old and decaying orphanage of Shar. There, she reunites with her old childhood friend Yorgrim, who's deeply affected by the disappearance of a good friend, the first (and not-found) victim in a strange case of abductions that terrorizes the town. Perhaps the new neighbours of the "crooked" house have something to do with them? Will Lethica be able to keep her curiosity in line, or she'll end up in the middle of it all? Who's to say? (and yes, she brought her cactus with her, thank you for asking)

This is old art from last year (2023) and since the new twists and information dropped, the direction of this concept may take a turn, wait and see in part 2, which will come eventually, I'm slow, I have college people-

Do you actually trust Yogrim's judgement?

Judgement on what? Yeah I trust Yorgrim, he's a smart man. Yes, sometimes it is easy to gain his trust but I still do trust him and his judgement most of the time.

*Briggsy hiccups as he’s pulled into Yogrim’s embrace, fingers clawing at the massive blanket to keep him close.

It’s so painfully, terribly easy how quickly it slips out*

“I don’t like how he touched ya….. I don’t like how he touched Billy……. I d-don’t like how ya didn’t ask me how I would feel about it. Neither of ya did. And I don’t want him around here, ‘cause he can do what I can’t for ya, and I can’t stand it.”

“I’m back!”

*Briggsy appears at the edge of the clearing, shaking out a bit of dust thats collected along the hem of his jacket. He’s pretty obviously disgruntled*

“I didn’t get ‘ta Cyril, ended up sidetracked unfortunately— stuff wit’ Marius and Jerry. They’re fine, thanks ‘ta Yorgi’s conveniently timed potions.”

*Yorgrim is reading by his grave, as he'd told them both he would be. He doesn't react to Briggsy's words, as a large pair of headphones he'd been gifted by the spirits drown out the sound of his voice. A large, heavy blanket sits draped around his shoulders.*
