she~ ‎ is~ ‎so~ ‎smug~! ‎ ‎unexpected from such an innocent maiden, ‎but it couldn't be denied that hakuno kishinami had a more playful ‎ ( teasing ) ‎side ‎ — ‎ one that came out in specific situations, ‎the girl deriving a sort of twisted amusement from seeing whatever cute reaction her victim choice of target had in response. ‎perhaps she even had some peculiar brand of confidence in being able to act so boldly, ‎but one thing's for sure— ‎ never would she imagine herself receiving a taste of her own medicine.

( ...maybe she should've known to expect the unexpected with this peculiar traveler though. )

“ ‎ ‎——...?! ‎ ‎” ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ hazel eyes blink, ‎widening as they'd met with the outlander's gold. ‎mouth parts open as the situation sinks in ‎— ‎ the wall her back is pressed to, the other's hand caging her within ‎— ‎ a kabedon, ‎clearly. ‎not a scenario she's unfamiliar with, ‎ being on the giving end of it mere moments ago. ‎but to have the script flipped on her like this was...!! ‎ ‎hakuno's mouth closes, ‎ lips pressed into a thin line; ‎ tries to feign utter disinterest. for if it's a reaction he wants, then it's a reaction he's not getting !

so she told herself, ‎but she nearly sputters at the words he so casually says. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ “ ‎ ‎ you are not ! ‎ ‎ ” ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ not allowed to, ‎anyway !! ‎ ‎brows furrowing and lips pursing in an indignant protest, ‎ as if to emphasize her diapproval. ‎though the squeak that her voice had come out worked against her, ‎and was just... ‎ terrible. ‎ terrible, ‎terrible ! ‎ ‎ohh, ‎stupid, smooth aether—!! ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎“ ‎ ‎ that doesn't even sound remotely charismatic...?! ‎ ‎ just— ‎ ‎ ” ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎with a huff, ‎both of hands would raise to firmly press over his eyes. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎“ ‎ ‎ i'm saving you from any further embarrassment, ‎ ‎so you can kindly shut up—! ‎ ‎” ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎she was the embarrassed one here though ?? ‎ ‎ and if that was the case, ‎then she covered up the wrong thing !

It is fun to entertain the idea of young romance every once in a while.~» Although he will never genuinely act on it. He will not give himself permission for it. Kaeya Alberich shall spare himself and others from such a cruel fate.

to be held.you need someone to wrap you up, squeezing together all the parts of you that feel broken. you crave being shielded away from the world, where no one can see you... no one can hurt you.

   To any that knew the Grand Scribe at face value alone,  he was a man that showed nothing of his true thoughts,  constantly hidden behind countless walls and an attitude that so many found grating  -  so to say Al - Haitham was at a loss for how to handle the sudden change of companionship was putting it lightly at the very least.

   Yet forest - like eyes found themselves almost glued upon the traveller,  an unfamiliar  flutter  within the reborn Dendro God’s chest whenever gazes met or hands brushed.  He shouldn’t have allowed such things to fill his mind,  not when he had so much work to do and things to investigate ...  But still he found himself longing for more than those pesky business business conversations.

        He wanted to be close in a way others were not.

   Without a word one hand came to pluck stray leaf from golden locks,  the faintest hint of warmth lingering on the Scribe’s cheeks as he leaned forward to press a kiss against Aether’s forehead.

   “ Instead of your temporary accommodations ...  Would you care to stay with me for the night ? ”

“ ‎ ‎ quite the expression you have there. ‎ ‎” ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎remarked with a soft voice, ‎ a few more steps, ‎and the owner of it lowers herself to take a seat next to the traveler. ‎a silence follows ‎ — ‎ awkward or comforting, ‎hakuno doesn't know ‎ ( though she hopes it'd be the latter ) ‎— ‎ but it is broken with the soft jingling of coins procured from the maiden's pouch. ‎ a single one is carefully taken with two slender digits, ‎and then brought to the periphery of the other's sight. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ “ ‎ ‎...mora for your throughts ? ‎ ‎”

     ON the surface, the traveller seemed to be leisurely resting beneath a tree but upon closer inspection, it was obvious that he was troubled by something and letting his mind wander away.

“ ‎ ‎ dear me, ‎sir traveler aether... ‎it's a pick up line, ‎a pick up line. ‎ did you not get it ? ‎ ‎ ” ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ well, ‎she doesn't either, ‎actually ! ‎ ‎which is exactly why she was conducting this little social experiment with everyone's favorite honorary knight, ‎but to think that he'd be at a lost too— ‎her cheek rests against her chin in an exaggerated disappointment. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ “ ‎ ‎boo...~ ‎ ‎”

“ ‎ ‎...you misunderstand me. ‎ ‎” ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎had it been any other person standing in her position, ‎they'd likely be swept off their feet ! ‎ ‎peculiar hakuno kishinami, ‎ however, ‎was frowning at the action ‎ ( though it lacked any real distaste for it ‎/ ‎ for him ) ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ “ ‎ ‎i merely wanted to try it out. ‎ ‎ ” ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎for no reason. ‎for fun. ‎whatever ! ‎ ‎crossing her arms defiantly, ‎her chin raises as if to emphasise the point. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎“ ‎ ‎ — i have no intentions of flirting with you. ‎ ‎”

why, ‎ the mere thought of it seems to be embarrassing to her. ‎ her cheeks puffed out even more !
