So I made an adulty purchase today and finally got myself a new mattress, so if anyone's even thought about commissioning me for any icons now is a great time because I need to make some extra money and I still have another week and a half off from work. Even smaller commissions are more than welcome because any extra income is super helpful.

What do you get when you combine a theater-loving muse and a mun who loves musicals? FEELS.

Today, the feelings are strong due to associating "Bloom" with Kaeya and Childe and "For Forever" with Kaeya and Diluc.

For the former, I had a mind-blowing moment when I was listening to it. I had to stop and stare at nothing for a moment because I realized, "Wow, this is SO PERFECT FOR THEM!?" Even the silly back and forth between the actors is Chaeya-coded.

For the latter, there is not much to say because the song is so... so... SO...! Also, the sadness triplicates if you know its context. Hint: the way he desperately says "He's coming to get me...!" always sends me to the stratosphere.

Hello, anon! That is... a tricky question...! You do realize that they are my favorite characters, right? Kaeya a little bit more than Diluc, but still, the brainrot sessions are equally as frequent! Thus, a lot of things come to mind... I could easily spend hours ranting about them (individually or some other type of dynamic or trope they share) but I will be honest — the very first thing that came to mind was a song.

Specifically, a song that I can't help but associate with them whenever I listen to it. The lyrics are far too perfect to ignore, and I love it when you can find different povs in songs that easily translate the thoughts or feelings of the characters involved. Of course, I have songs that I associate with Kaeya or Diluc individually, but since your ask was about them both, I guess I'll roll with it.

The song is "Just Pretend" by Bad Omens. It is a really good song that is applicable to Kaeya and Diluc's relationship (regardless of how you see them — platonic, romantic, familial, or otherwise). It just fits them like a glove.

... And if Diluc ever entertains such dark thoughts, he WILL get bonked in the head. At least two times. Once for having silly thoughts and believing them. Twice for assuming Kaeya thinks so little about him and their relationship (To be interpreted as: you should know better, stupid Diluc.
