Something about Mary’s visit to Elizabeth being the first time a human acknowledges her as the Mother of God, something about it being a cousin visiting her that made St. Rita’s most famous miracle of the winter blooming rose and figs possible. I’m sure there’s a deep lesson or parallel here, something about faith and miracles and sons. But I sincerely don’t think it has to be any deeper than “how long has it been since you talked to that family member you really like?”
