expanding on my yiik au, this is Alex Michael or Mick ( he likes to be called by his nickname more so than his legal name) Mick is really into cars and body building and is really the opposite of the Michel we know. He even works at the local auto shop. When Mick and Alex first meet as kids when Alex moved to town they actually hated each other and Mick was even Alex's bully for the longest time but with Sammy going missing they start from a good friendship and they even made ONISM accounts at the same time.

with the recent cometcare update, i can finally share this that i've had for about a week now

I had a crazy autism car crash moment and thought about what each of the yiik characters TMA affiliated entity would be so now I’m going to list out all my possibilities + my reasonings. I haven’t listened to tma in forever i need to relisten sometime so this is off of my Memory and the wiki so BE NICE.

Alex: ik The Extinction was kind of my immediate gut feeling because of the whole y2k destruction thing he has going on AND I STILL FEEL THAT FITS. BUT! going off of his actual character alone, the Web is honestly sooo him. with how he spins the whole narrative to fit whatever he feels suits him best. he fears so much about not having control of his life that he turns around and starts doing it to everyone instead. and it’s just never ending in that sense. this feels the most blatant honestly No Notes.

Vella: shes very Buried to me for reasons i am struggling to explain, but i think what draws me to it is how shes been known to shut herself out from situations she cant control and when the world is falling apart around her. like thats literally how we meet her in the first place she had a bad circumstance and she escapes it by trapping herself in another fucking dimension. which feels very Buried to me. also i like how she presses the sides of her head with her hands when shes stressed i like to think tight spaces comfort her just as much as they frighten her in a way.

Rory: IM STUCK BETWEEN THE LONELY AND THE VAST. on one hand the Lonely is so obvious that it hurts, Rory surrounds and pretty much defines himself in loneliness. and to that end you’d think it would be kind of hard to give him anything else. but then you think specifically about his little theories, how thoughtful he is towards the idea of how humanity and souls occupy space, and its like oh shit. so i believe there is Some element of Vast in him. also i love the idea of him and Vella as physical foils OKAY THERE I ADMIT IT.

Claudio: this man could not be more Hunt coded if he fucking tried. his search for his brother is practically endless because he won’t just accept the most likely answer that he’s dead, until the search literally consumes him. when it becomes clear a physical Hunt won’t fulfill his desire for the chase, he starts using the Internet/ONISM to start a digital Hunt that can go on forever and ever and ever. maybe there’s even a little part of Claudio that doesn’t even want to find Aaron, knowing it’ll bring an end to his Hunt.

Chondra: when i make this into a full fledged AU with some semblance of story, i imagine her being the only one who starts out not clearly affiliated with any particular fear because of just how incredibly disinterested she is in anything trying to drag her down. HOWEVER, i think that she would be marked by the End, what with how the death (in her eyes) of her brother haunts her everywhere she goes even if she tries to distance herself away from it, until eventually she gives in and lets it claim her as an avatar.

Michael: i had to save him for last because he’s the one that made me think of this at all and i have so many ideas. HES SO FULL OF POTENTIAL I FOUND THREE GOOD ANSWERS. Part of me wants to separate it into the different facets of Michael that we see throughout the game + the little snippet of I.V. the Michael whos the eternal best friend and blind to the broken narrative Alex creates is such Stranger, i can imagine him Literally being a life sized doll painted to look like the Michael of Alex’s dreams but it’s just. a little off.

meanwhile Red Michael is The Spiral, so achingly aware that everything about the world Stranger Michael lives in is a lie but being unable to communicate that to himself outside of the red room so he spirals into ONISM and consistently tries to find reality where everything is a nostalgia-based deception that further pulls him to the path of Distortion,

FINALLY. Proto-Michael, consumed by the Eye, being painfully aware of everything around him, when no one else seems capable of doing so, and desperately wanting to know the answer to it all. I think this is the entity that fits his entire, Singular the most, because Michael is such a solution-oriented, curious guy and his need to understand every strange, supernatural thing in this world really reflects on his entire character. ALSO the camera motif with him would go FIRE with the Eye. so when i make this an AU separate from the canon events of yiik that’s probably what im gonna go with. But still isn’t this super cool.

uhhhh this was super long and doesn’t even feature other prominent characters but. hey this is the main cast so at least i got that. I’ll keep working on this tho yippeeeee

Dungeon Meshi Modern AU Important Laios Thought:

Okay so Laios would definitely get into a fist fight with Undertale creator Toby Fox right, actually not even going to put a question mark after right because I know I'm right. Laios would be introduced to Undertale as soon as it comes out because Falin backed the kickstarter and had been gushing to her brother about it's fun concept for an RPG where you don't have to kill any monsters. Laios then plays Undertale and slowly grows to hate it, because the promise of monsters actually just turned out to be a bunch of weirdly shaped humans who could be killed more easily. He keeps playing to try and connect with Falin about it but when he reaches the pacifist ending on his 9th playthrough he flips his desk when Flowey becomes a GoatMAN, and thus resolves to beat-up Toby Fox. Thankfully tracking him down is easy because in the modern AU Marcille has a new magic spell called "Hacking into people's computers", which she agreed to do if Laios would stop drawing her as a furry or a dubious little creature and would instead draw a picture of her fish Sky. When Laios gets to Toby Fox's house he bangs at the door, but instead of Toby Fox walking out he is first met with a tired looking man wearing a carefully knitted sweater saying "I LOVE MY CHILD, KID ICARUS UPRISING FOR THE NINTENDO 3DS" on it. He walks over to his care and peacefully drives away. Since Laios didn't care about this man he kept looking at the door. After 5 of gods own minutes Toby Fox trotted out to greet him. As Toby Fox appeared in the form of a small white dog Laios thought he had the upper hand with his animal knowledge, however Toby Fox is simply a human in the form of a dog and quickly dislodged a vinyl record from the wall with a piece of tape that had text written on it saying "TOBY FOX'S ROCK OPERA" and hit Laios over the head like he was Alex YIIK and knocked Laios the hell out. Afterwards whenever Undertale was brought up around Laios he would say "I bet if I could code I'd make a game called "Eatertale" and it would be much more realistic". This would continue on for years until one day when Izutsumi is google searching for JPEGs of Fish on Laios laptop when her paw pads don't work well on the trackpad, leading swiping her hand too fast over the thing and accidently pressing the windows key and seeing all of Laios tabs. On multiple of them is beautiful sprite work with various titled but all containing the phrase "DELTARUNE WIP" attached to them.

Izutsumi doesn't really care about Laios' artwork so she doesn't end up telling anybody.

A few more years pass and everyone finds out due to Kabru sending everyone a group text from the hospital because while he was reading the Deltarune credits for fun he saw Laios' name in the credits under the artists section and had his legs kick so fast as a reaction it broke his desk and sent him and his chair careening towards the floor.

Dr Ray is a redheaded young scientist at the age of 32, his sunny demeanor and ever-positive attitude makes him the mediator for the group of three. Despite being the only non-scientist on the team, he is determined to show his mettle compared to his companions.

A young budding therapist who first crossed paths with Sunny when his mother got him to go to therapy. The doctor listened carefully as Sunny explained the last four years of his life. Things seemed to be going normally. However, the mention of a dreamworld caught Dr. Ray's fascination-and the start of an obsession with Sunny's HEADSPACE.

Future sessions in the following weeks proceeded as usual but Simmons questions would begin to shift away from Sunny's well-being and more about his fantasy world, a subject that caused the raven haired boy more and more discomfort as it continued. Soon word of these concerns would reach his mother and Sunny was removed from his therapy sessions. Much to the therapist's utter disappointment.

Dr. Ray's unsated curiosity would reach new heights the longer he went without answers of his obsession, his desire to know more driving him to reach out to friends and form a research project he dubbed D.R.E.A.M.

His first act was to accompany his two colleagues to steal Sunny from his new home...

A morose, arrogant and cynical middle aged scientist who cares for and only cares for results over the means of getting them, no matter how questionable, cruel...or inhumane those methods might be...

Dr. Yen's career before joining with D.R.E.A.M. is shrouded in controversy and mystery as she has refused to divulge any information. The little information on Yen say that she was an ex-military scientist who was discharged for unusual experiments, others say she was an interrogator for Nearbye Asylum who's preference towards 'bad cop' routine went a little too far... Both of these origins are more or less theory and only Yen knows which one is true, and she isn't keen on sharing...

Dr. Yen was recommended by Dr. Shwartz to be lead engineer and inventor for Simmons' upcoming project, providing the tech needed, spearheading the operation to kidnap Sunny, successfully covering the evidence with a stand in and stealing his memories, all the while executing each of these with swift surgical precision, earning her an invaluable position in D.R.E.A.M.

Her own intentions involving EMOTIONS and HEADSPACE as a whole hold sinister implications...

An elderly man sitting at the slow age of 78, Dr. Shwartz is a tragic man who wears the scars of war and violence both inside and out. Haunted by the actions of his past, he seeks to atone for his sins through bettering the world through D.R.E.A.M.

A former Military Scientist during World War 2, Shwartz committed many atrocities for the German army in the name of his country's leader. He was responsible for the creation and distribution of bioweapons and other unspeakable horrors that would haunt the dreams of the soldiers on the receiving end.

But his career came to a crashing end when a traumatizing incident involving enemy soldiers ended up taking his family from him- including his beloved daughter.

This event deeply shook Shwartz to his core and left him broken as he would end up leaving Germany near the war's end and fled to America to escape the destruction of the Axis powers. Wilhelm would hide out in an abandoned sewer system, lurking in the shadows for many years to come out of fear of recognition and persecution. His guilt and shame haunting him at every waking moment...of the day his world came burning down and his life changed forever.

He was convinced that this misery was what he rightfully deserved; to rot and be forgotten in a world that hated him. Fate however would not be done with Shwartz. His life changed again when he met an eager, young redheaded man aspiring to be a therapist...

And soon in a twist even he wouldn't see coming, Wilhelm became a scientist once more, but this time to improve lives of the world's people through a young boy's vivid imagination and scientific developments beyond his wildest dreams...
