i am due for some cpn so let’s over analyze gg’s recent post like we always do. lol. i thought this was him updating his weibo dynamic header/cover but turns out it’s really a video. it’s pretty and v atmospheric. i swear, xz’s camera roll must be something to look at. so the focus of his post is the 6th solar term Guyu. not sure why he is suddenly so focused on these but we know one other person who is, to the point that he included it on his ximalaya show. in episode 52 (tomorrow is guyu day), wyb mentioned this:

and was part of LTS lyrics, literally the first line: blown by the clear wind and waiting for the rain to sow the seeds. in this case the english translations mention it as rain but the original text uses 谷雨. yes he is not the songwriter but to think that he picked that song, with that lyric is telling. it may not be romantic per se, but that his drawn to it. to the rain and what it means.

Wang Yibo won a lawsuit against the Weibo user 心碎却着迷 (Heartbroken but fascinated) and today the account's owner posted the handwritten apology‼️

心碎却着迷 is Xiao Zhan's big pro-fan with 470k followers!

There's some evidence that 心碎却着迷 has direct contact with Xiao Zhan's studio (some even say she might be an employer) so it's absolutely impossible for Xiao Zhan's studio to not know about the horrible behavior that this person engaged in for years.

One of the things I do when I don't have the wherewithal for creative works, which is often lately, is work on a database spreadsheet for my C-drama watching. The scoring records are one sheet, and there's another for actor stats that I'm working on. Because after a while you start to recognize faces among the supporting roles and can't flippin' remember where they're from, or where you first saw them.

So I started a sheet, with the rows as actor names and the column headers as shows I've seen. It's... very large. And very tedious to fill in. I cannot recommend this to anyone, ever. But it keeps me busy when I can't make myself function with anything else.

Now, I'm filling this in in order of the shows as I watched them- or my nearest guess because I forgot when I watched some things, especially for those actors I saw on Happy Camp or Chuang before I saw any of their shows (which was a lot, actually- I saw Cheng Yi, Tan Jianci, Bai Lu, Hou Minghao, even Zhao Liying on Happy Camp before I got around to any of their shows). So I'm only at King's Avatar, but I do have some stats. This does count the shows I've started but haven't finished yet, and the ones I've dropped, so not all of them are "actually seen in this show and can evaluate their performance", some are "I started a show they're in and fuck if I remember if I saw their part yet." But!

The people I've seen most so far are He Zhonghua and Zhang Fan at 10 shows each.

I've started 6 Xiao Zhan shows but only 5 for Wang Yibo, Wang Zhuocheng, and Meng Ziyi. Also at 5 is Huang Youming, Hei Zi, Liu Xueyi, Cheng Yi, Han Chenyu who is probably in all the Cheng Yi shows, Zhao Liying, Canti Lau, Ji Chen who has some DMBJ movies in there, and Dong Li Wu You, who is like fifteen, tops, but is in everything.

Liu Yuning's count is at 8 but at one point I was jotting down OST and writing contributions and then stopped because I was bored, so who knows (Nanpai Sanshu is at 9 because of the writing creds, with higher than expected but still incomplete numbers for Zhou Shen from soundtrack creds. No idea why Mimi Lee is at 5 but I like her so it's okay for now). Anyone in 72 Floors of Mystery or any movie that isn't an Untamed spin-off is messed up because I added variety shows and movies halfway through and haven't caught up yet. Happy Camp stats are a disaster.

Zhang Tianyang is at 7 shows, and that is most likely correct. He was in almost every show I watched last summer, lol~ He's my accidental darling.

@beanie-baby-divorce oh my god. alright so this was back in the 2020 of both my own personal cql/bjyx insanity and the general bjyx insanity. i don't know if you ever got into bjyx at all, but backstory is yibo was known for wearing the streetwear brand VLONE that's associated with the rapper A$AP Rocky somehow(?), i don't know much about this part but all that's really important is that this is a brand that is so niche that yibo is basically the only person in china wearing this brand, he wears it all the time and he doesn't have a deal with them like he did with nike or chanel so it's clearly just his favorite.

next: rpf speculation mill runs wild because now a second person in china is wearing VLONE gear, and it's xiao zhan. people were putting together all the instances of xiao zhan wearing gear that yibo was known to own and assembling videos called "bjyx VLONE-ology" and losing their minds over how yibo seemed to be like. clearly staking his claim on the biggest celebrity on earth by giving xz all this gear from this very specific brand to wear. that plus other rumours of yibo behaving crazy jealous really painted a vivid picture of a possessive boyfriend.

finally: so there's a photo of xiao zhan in his XNINE days wearing an amazingly horrible oversized cardigan that's this like, grey/orange/green zig zag pattern, and as soon as i saw it i had to have it. i was scrolling aliexpress searching for "xiao zhan sweater", "xiao zhan cardigan", etc., and stumbled upon a listing for 10th anniversary prairie home companion sweatshirts and one of the listing photos was my blog header. since that day, the idea of a jealous niche-streetwear-aficionado wang yibo claim staking his boyfriend xiao zhan by demanding they both wear prairie home companion 10th anniversary sweatshirts together in public and the breathless rpf analysis videos that would ensue is truly the funniest thing i can think of

i’m putting this out now incase i get busy at work later and won’t have the time to compose a post. but this is the cpn and some thoughts on what happened this morning. aside from us barely surviving bazaar’s attack! those photos are amazing! i haven’t recovered yet and i cannot wait for the interview ✌🏼

days before this release, there were already some melons about the magazine cover. i personally shared the one about wyb cause the source seemed legit and fan clubs were confirming too. aside from that, it was also supposedly the day that marie claire will release teasers for xz’s january cover. tho i remember hearing before that his is supposed to be march. again, we can never be so sure with these melons. magazines don’t really care about overlapping with their release cause it depends on the season/month. today for example, there are 3 other magazine covers released aside from yibo’s.

however it’s interesting that it didn’t happen between xz and wyb. they totally could. even just the teaser wouldn’t hurt. i may just be clowning too hard and going by their pattern of not having their project overlap but i think this is an example. or maybe the melons were all false.

Anyway, this morning, xz marie claire was on hot search cause the teaser was supposedly gonna be posted 10:05 but there was nothing. which is not surprising cause it was a rumor. it was funny tho how people were effectively clowned 😂😂😂

it’s v interesting to see both their names + magazine cover on hs. this is why magazines would always love to feature them cause of the audience they bring. aside from the quality and professionalism too. years later, they are still relevant and will be for a long time!

there are also some side by side edits by cpfs because of the tank top they wore. they really do match! tho a small part of me is kinda wary when things like this are shared cause it could easily be picked up and used as xz vs wyb by brainless yxh. for international spaces the likelihood of that is small so it’s really more on weibo.

the fans have good intentions and i understand the tendency to but their similar shoots side by side and all that— i guess i’m just paranoid at times 🙃🙃

MY FAVORITE THO IS HOW XIAO ZHAN WENT ONLINE REAL QUICK then went offline again. I remember probably 11:48? and he was online for 13 minutes. Some were low key in panic mode cause what if he posts something? Is he gonna share something about Marie Claire? It’s on HS already so it would make sense. But no. This bitch went online and dipped 😂😂😂😂

The posting for WYB’s materials was 11-12 so he went at the perfect time when all the photos are already released. So we are clowning that he is online to see the photos and save them all . Did he forget he was on his main and not side account? LOL. What a coincidence. Out of all the days and timeframe he can go online for bit, it’s now? When a certain someone’s magazine content is being released? 👀👀👀👀

Lastly, the pants WYB wore for the shoot is by Courreges which is the same brand ( not exact same pants okay? ) that XZ wore when he went to Singapore. Yes, the one we were clowning about. What a coincidence! 👁️👄👁️
