Design notes: Evan: Ew. Ok, so he's supposed to be a wannabe professional musician, right? AND he's a member of a pop-rock band (?) (not too sure about the music genre), which made me realise that he dresses up like 2010s boy bands. I put my analysis goggles on and looked at Big Time Rush and OneDirection posters, LMAO. I used them as references for the textures of the articles of clothing and his pose. I mostly tried to put my attention on his attitude and face because he's an expressive character, bursting with personality (which is why I know making an expression sheet of Evan would be hella fun). I drew many straight, spiky lines and curves because he emanates charm, coolness, and playfulness.

So very random ass upload but I was recently rewatching itsfunnehs old yhs series (cause nostalgia and whatnot) and I suddenly see a very familiar character 🤨🤨

(context behind this: This girls name is Olivia and shes like one of those rivals from yandere simulator 💀 she "allegedly" kissed this guy named Kai or senpai who is the crush of the yandere aka this girl named Yumi)

hey it's z anon!!! i've been away from my computer for the past couple of days so i couldn't reply right away BUT !!! v belated congrats on ur last day for didactic classes & exams!! i hope everything goes smoothly w the year of clinical practice and studying for boards!! i also got my grades back for the semester and did WAYYY better than i thought.. my semester gpa was 3.9 smthn which makes my cumulative 3.64 :D okie backkk to drama talk,, omg is there a reason you didn't watch s1 of yumi's cells?? i feel like it's kim goeun's best work..even above goblin 😅but yess please watch it for jinyoung.. his character is sooo sweet and i alr know a spoiler for how the webcomics played out so i'm looking forward to how the s2 will work! my other most anticipated is link!! like link, why her, and yumi's cells?!!? ahhh so exciting.. also have you been watching from now on showtime? i don't see many talking abt it and it's very underrated imo. clear communication btwn characters w great acting >>> and comedic plot while also being able to be serious ??? it's so good.. really. confession: i still didn't finish to my star 1... my friend lovesss it though so i should give it a second try... also THIS WEEK'S EPISODE OF PLUS AND MINUS.. NO ONE TOUCH ME... it just keeps getting better i'm <33333333333 so PLEASE continue when you have time and lemme kno ur thoughts!! also you haven't led me astray so far so 😋 i think we can just acknowledge that you have good taste! and idek w xu kai she just says he seems like a robot when he acts and that he has a funny face .. both non logical reasons to dislike him but she's a bit pretentious anyways 😳sh**ting stars.. yh.. such a shame w such a good cast too... and our blues.. the teens got MARRIED. like wha..what.... ure right the anti-abortion plot was way too strong and i'm honestly just watching it rn so my mom can have someone to talk to abt it. lap.. i am still on ep 7 but everything is so <3 esp since the secret got revealed and it (imo) wasn't that bad. idk how an accidental injury became bribery though 😕the otp of miss crow & mr lizard <333 i still haven't finished it.. i think i'm only on ep 23 still bcos i'm slowing down .. i want to savor the drama :)) sucks to hear the ending is rushed tho :( ALSO watching one spring night FINALLY and jung haein and han jimin look so good together :OO still nothing beats han jimin and nam joohyuk imo...also KINNPORSCHE THE WAY KINN APOLOGIZED NOT ONCE BUT TWICE.. i mean i kinda would've liked porsche to be upset longer but at least it wasn't as bad as in the novel... I didn't watch s1 because I wasn't really into either of the actors (but ahn bo hyun and me don't vibe for whatever reason idk). I watched through all the gifs tho! so I know what went down and I've heard of the spoilers from the webtoon too. ohhh link! I want to watch that too, jingoo and gayoung look good together, I hope it delivers. I'm not watching now on showtime, I know at least eon of my moots is tho so I watch through her gifs. jin ki joo looks soooo cute in that drama tho, glad she's getting that. ahaha to my star I admit can be a bit slow for some people but they really were very cute together, their chemistry was very natural and comfortable. I caught up on plus and minus yesterday!! will admit I fast forward all the scenes of the second couple but I'm looking forward to developments between our lead besties. (also for someone who was trying to hide the box with the charm fu ligong was doing a very poor job at it alkdfj). SHUT UP THEY GOT MARRIED!?? DLFKJ the way they went from 0-100 so quick. the whiplash. lmfaoo at your friend I can't even be a hater because honestly sometimes it just works like that. I feel like you can hate/dislike people (esp celebrities) for really no reason and as long as you're not being a public menace about it's all good. as for LAP the hatred was really uncalled for SMH and junyoung could've just stayed in Spain I didn't need her to come back and ruin all this wonderful progress we've taken so long to get through. ONE SPRING NIGHT the superior haein drama. they were the softest little family of three, all the other trash men in that drama could choke tho. As you could probably tell from the onslaught of gifs I made, episode six of KP really was something else!!! we finally got communication and it was delicious. I literally had no idea alchemy of souls existed until I saw luni's pretty caps of it on my dash. my music taste is random obscure indie-pop/k-pop/k-indie and then a little bit of this and that that spotify recommends me lmfao. I'll def check out your recs tho ❤︎ to pick a couple artists from my playlists: gaho, lucy, flor, vinyl theatre, the band camino, gentle bones.

Things I feel like itsfunneh's YHS should've utilized more (june 23rd 2023)

Alec's family being poor and them being absent in their life; If his family is poor and struggling and Alec is willing to cover up a MURDER, then the money must be BIG BIG BIG. So you'll have to show that he IS poor and struggling, but they don't really do that which leaves out for a lot of setups and potential things to happen. And anyway why is Yumi actively picking Alec for the job when im SURE random strangers on the internet would do better and for less. So that could mean that Alec excels at what he does (and you have to show that too). Btw I'm sure he could've gotten more money coding n stuff so like.... that means Yumi's pay must be so thick that they could live off of it for months or years. That means Yumi should be wiser when asking Alec for help, and it can only happen seldomly (or if not then Yumi would have to threaten him or try to ruin his plans at finding another job but Alec isn't THAT oblivious and it's giving pushover vibes). And anyway how did Alec acquire that skill??? Did he learn it through guiding books or something? Was one of his parents tecchy or smth?

The only way this would make sense is that this was before the 2000s, aka when technology was in fast development. It would also be easier to cover up murder so maybe before the 90s and 80s. Also where are the victims' parents

Anyway here are my extra ideas:

Tbh they kind of remind me of Yor and Yuri (from spy x family) in a way. We could've gotten some scenes about Alec desperately trying to find side gigs etc but eventually having to fall back in Yumi's pit every single time; it could show that he REALLY REALLY needed the money instead of just being slightly annoyed by Yumi's requests in the series

other stuff: Alec being obsessed with saving money at random times of the year without much explanation. He probably has some traumatic anecdotes about how the landlord almost kicked the both of them(him and aly) out at some point due to financial instability.

Despite being robbed of his childhood and having to be independent at such a young age, I feel like he could help his friends financially n stuff... (GOLD IM LOOKING AT YOU)

and then they're all like "wait how did you know this?!" and Alec just goes ".... the Internet hahahah 😅"

The whole Evelyn and Yumi ordeal; I actually don't understand why Yumi is trying to kill her- I MEAN IT MAKES SENSE, but we all know that rich people have way more influence right? That means Evelyn's dad can get really good policemen, detectives and lawyers on the job (this could also show that the judiciary department can always become very corrupt esp in the US, and how many serial killers get away with murder if it's the death of a minority, aka ones that they deem as unimportant, useless, etc).

And so, these two can create an extremely intriguing plot since Yumi will have to tiptoe around Evelyn, aka someone who can actually challenge her. Evelyn is actually really smart and seems to always be 2 steps ahead, but somehow she's extremely oblivious in the series which is a shame imo...

GOING TO SCHOOL TO ACTUALLY STUDY. Where are the good old exams? The teachers you hate? The teachers you love? The teachers you care about. The teachers who made you love learning, or at least bear it.

Random HCs for itsfunneh's YHS

Funneh used to love the banana bargain store. WHAT IF.... Alec also shopped there some time to time (since he's poor). But since he's more experienced in what's good or what's bad (financial trauma) (I like to imagine that he bought expired food in that shop and vomited for days), they bond over that shop and they shop together. Funneh likes being with Alec in that situation because he gives good tips, what to not buy etc.

I'm about to break ppl's hearts... So I watched that one christmas episode where they go to miss grenchbull's house. And for some reason she keeps feeding and feeding everyone and there's food literally everywhere. And celeste and Elijah visited her that same night. WHAT IF. WAHT FUCKING IF. CELESTE AND ELIJAH DONT EAT OFTEN BC THEY DONT HAVE TIME/THEY FORGET AND THEYRE PRETTY SKINNY TOO. AND LIKE... EVERY TIME THEY VISIT HER, THEY EAT LIKES WOLVES, so by their grandma's logic, if they get so hungry by eating her food then that means everyone else does the same. Which is why she's all like "keep eating guys! Do you want food? canned soup?" to Funneh, Kyran and Gold. Also the fact that she had so much food set up that day was bc she knew they would come home <3. I just imagine them catching up and Elijah and Celeste are casually eating everything with their bare hands like it's the first time they ate in weeks.

Celeste and Elijah have very different ways of speaking but they both have a brooklyn/Archie Bunker accent. Like... Italian new york kinda. The "what 'r ya gonna do abouddit?", "whaddya want?" "forgeddaboutit", "ya" instead of "you", "buddy", "pal"....> I think Elijah's voice would sound thicker and rougher. Rougher as in he has an extremely hard time using his vocal cords. Celeste's, as we all know, has a squeaky high pitched voice, but in my hc with a zest of brooklyn accent.

WAIT NOW THAT WE'RE TALKING ABT ACCENTS... Kyran having an accent from wherever YHS is at + a tiny zest of his family's accent, and whenever he sees them again that accent gets way stronger.

I feel like Yumi absolutely LOVES greek mythology and uses it for codenames etc... Project [inserts greek mythology reference].

I wanted to help @/vinhteer fill the yhs tag so here's my head canon on why Yumi and Alec work together+ kyran

(I wrote this on discord but I'm too lazy to dig for it so I'll try my best to remember it-- long post ahead!!) I apologize for any spelling mistakes.

Yumi and Alec were childhood friends like Kyran was but they hadn't met until Alec moved to her school in elementary (after Alec met kyran) so they became friends because no one didn't hang out with them and the teacher kept pairing them up.

Kyran still visited Alec even after he moved and that's how he met Yumi because she also came to visit them at their home and they always did this to the point they were like siblings in a way since they were always together. Alec and kyran didn't necessarily like yumi but they tolerated her since she never started trouble.

Yumi's mom got thrown in jail and her dad didn't really want anything to do with her so he focused more on work leaving Yumi to her own endeavors so she played with Alec and kyran +ally occasionally. She saw them as family.

Cue a jealous tantrum with a girl that was in love with senpai. It was a girl who bullied Yumi and knew she had a crush on Kai. Yumi accidentally killed someone for the first time and being a kid, called Alec/kyran because she had no one else.

Alec and kyran didn't know what to do since Yumi didn't want the cops called. She didn't want to be thown in jail because she would be away from Kai and them. So they bury the body.

Unfortunately there was a camera but the quality wasn't good enough to find all of their identities besides Yumi. She was a suspect and not wanting to be thrown in jail she begged her father to not let her be taken away (she probably would've been in juvie of some kind because 1, she's a kid and 2 it wasn't planned) and her father agreed since he didn't want her record to be tainted and pulled some strings to bury the case. He changed Yumi's name to Yandere (unfortunate luck lol) and they moved where she had to attend a different school.

Yumi was still able to go visit Alec and Kyran but kyran was feeling incredibly guilty about it which caused some cracks to form in their relationships to the point kyran and Alec had a huge fight where kyran wanted to confess but Alec and Yumi (who had fragile home environments) didn't want to risk anything. Yumi threatened Kyran not to tell and kyran was forced to listen but he didn't want to hang out with them anymore so he left their friend group. (This all takes place late elementary+early middle school)

Yumi and Alec still hang out because Yumi was lonely since her father still buried himself in work then later left her alone to work overseas for a year. Alec tolerated her at best but they started to fight themselves when Alec started to note how jealous she became over her crush on Kai.

When Yumi killed the second girl, this one was planned and since this was planned she was better at not getting caught but she was still a novice so when she became a suspect, she used her dad's money to pay off the cops. Alec finds out because he read her diary. Caused a huge fight between them. Yumi threatens Alec to ruin his life if he does anything so Alec is forced to turn a blind eye.

Alec severs their relationship as a result leaving Yumi by herself. (during this whole time, Alec worked a lot of jobs as a middle schooler and Yumi would occasionally help out by giving him money. He didn't ask for it but Yumi saw his family as her own so she insisted)

When their relationship was severed it was a lot harder for Alec to get money since his mom was not well after his dad left them. His mom thought it was hard to take care of two kids by herself and since she was going through something before the divorce, she kind of shut down and left Alec to take care of them.

Alec got a notice from cps, and also got a notice from the landlord that rent went up in their apartment. Yumi found out all of this because she overheard a few mother's gossip about Alec's mom. Saying that she's failing her kids by letting Alec take care of them and they gossiped about the rumor that things are not looking well. When she looked into this she found out he got a lot better with hacking and picking locks.

She offered a job for him because she knew she could use this skill and didn't want to give her money out for free like she used to. Alec reluctantly accepts and since then they worked with each other enough that with the help of Yumi and his thousands of jobs, he was able to convince his mom to get a new apartment.

Cue the first year of highschool where the series begins. Alec transferred to Yumi's school since he moved and surprisingly, kyran transferred there as well. Things are awkward between them but kyran just ignores them. Kyran begins to suspect something about Alec and Yumi because why are you sneaking around the school after hours? He thinks they were killing people again and with the death of that Panda girl, he knew something was up so he started doing his own private investigations.

Other stuff!!

Yumi saw Alec as her brother still and even though Alec didn't feel the same way, Yumi still looked out for him even though he started to disobey her by risking letting their secret out. She didn't want to hurt him too much so all she did was threaten and it worked. When Celeste rolls around, she doesn't like Alec because she knew he was incompetent. He didn't take this seriously as he should and Yumi was letting this slide. Annoyed, she started talking to Yumi about Alec and she was starting to listen. Maybe she's letting Alec ignore her phone calls too much. If she doesn't do anything they're going to get caught and she'll be torn away from Kai.

Yumi is really considering getting rid of him but Elijah who isn't under Yumi's full influence and isn't loyal to her, threatens her in order to protect Alec. This causes a rift between him and Celeste, and this causes a huge fight between all of them. They somehow manage to come to an agreement without losing a limb and Alec's life is spared. Alec doesn't want to risk stuff like that happening again so he tries to work better. He realizes that he's becoming replaceable.

Some YHS head canons about Yumi's gang!

Are Celeste and Elijah twins? are they even related? I dunno but they have similar hair colors so that's proof in my eyes lmao

Celeste is the older one and was the one mostly in charge of watching over Elijah when their parents left them in the care of their delulu grandma

The reason they even got into the crime business is because they needed money and they got that by cleaning up after people. (Killings) Celeste stopped cleaning up and instead got more jobs on being the get-away driver/helping people rob things

Elijah is trans/mlm and Celeste is lesbian 🏳️‍🌈

Celeste had an encounter with Yumi before and thought Yumi was cool (and hot)

Elijah started working with Yumi because he doesn't really know what to do in life so he follows his sister around to make sure shes safe (+he has separation issues) he was originally going to leave after throwing the casket in the river but stayed because he thought Alec was cool (and hot)

Yumi and Alec knew each other as kids (I'll make a separate post someday) and Yumi doesn't have a lot of friends that she knew since the beginning and since she also has separation issues she doesn't want Alec to leave her (she sees him as a brother but not at the same time because she hates his entire exitance)

Her dad got a job overseas which pays really well and he likes it better over there and doesn't really know what to do with Yumi after her mom got thrown in prison so he just sends money home and hopes she doesn't cause problems.

I also hc Alec as native :) and he's bisexual (or as I want to put it, two-spirited)

Celeste and Alec hate each other's entire existence. (Why? Idk seems funny lol)

Elijah's and Alec's relationship is sorta-complicated? Alec hates Elijah because Elijah is too desensitized to killing people like Yumi so it pisses him off but he also likes him because he's cute + he's one of the only people that knows the secrets he's trying to hide from his friends and doesn't hate his guts like all his co-workers -- Elijah likes him but knows they won't go anywhere since he already knows he's in love with someone else.

He also won a bet with Alec so Elijah is allowed to hug him whenever he wants 😀👍

Yumi is bisexual and doesn't notice she has a crush on Celeste because she gaslit herself into thinking that she just "cared" about her

Celeste has sleepovers at Yumi's house to help her with making plans/stalking etc

Elijah and Celeste have a lot of fights -- complicated sibling relationship where one wants to live their own life but the other doesn't want to be alone (due to ✨ trauma✨) so they fight a lot because Elijah is worried about Celeste and Celeste is annoyed because she can look after herself and would rather do her own thing without her little brother bothering her.

Because of those fights Celeste sleeps over at Yumi's and Elijah gets Alec to stay over at his house until they make up.
