In light of some recent episode developments. I think I’ll rescind the headcannon that his name is Benjicot Davos. It’s just Davos now. (Lowkey… I thought HBO would just honestly write out the character of Benjicot… I was apparently wrong when they just mentioned him ig) anyways new headcannon Davos has a little brother, surprise. Ben’s gotta learn unhinged behavior from somewhere after all.. and what better way to start than with his “cool” older brother.

You know that text post that goes like “Have you ever argued with your girlfriend?” “Nope. She tells me to shut up and I do.” That was actually a text convo between Davos and his friend. He’s dumb, but not stupid. If you tell him to do something he’s doing it (as long as it’s legal… then again he’s really not the type to listen to the law)

He likes slow and domestic mornings. Getting up late, brushing your teeth together. He’ll flick water at you as you’re brushing your hair or doing your skincare routine with the most dopey and tired smile. He knows he’s won when you stop what you’re doing to stare at him with an unamused look. He washes his face like a lunatic though (both hands just furiously rubbing his face with little to no product). He’ll make the coffee and you turn on the tv. Pure silence except for the background noise of a news channel or show. Don’t even get him started on the part where you both fall back asleep on the couch as the sun rises and sunlight funnels in through the curtains. Pure bliss.

He LOVES girls night. How did he get an invite? He didn’t! But he’s quiet and normal, so he gets the girls night pass. It could be just you, or a few friends, even a group. But Davos will be there using the face masks, eating the finger food, drinking the fancy drinks. His girls night pass gets revoked though because he does not pay attention to the talk. He’s too busy devouring the charcuterie board to care about drama! …oh that’s the whole point of girls night? Oh… “Oh—and we like her right? …she’s problematic? …So we hate her? Oh… okay yeah she sounded weird—“

“Unique” pet names. There’s always the classics (love, darling, cutie, honey) but he’s got a few under his belt that turn heads, in a bad way maybe. He starts off pretty tame, he uses “my lady” a lot (chivalry-pilled). “Ma’am” too. “My lady” has a chance to devolve into “my liege” :/ Davos calls you pookie and you call him pookie back. You’re both pookie what can I say (sometimes uses the shortened ‘pooks’). Every single pet name he uses must have ‘my’ in front of it. “Do you want to get that pizza from that one place, my lady? Yeah? Okay��No I can pay don’t worry about it, my lovely.”

If you’re not a gamer, but you like to play in both casual and competitive games with him. The only reason you’re having a pretty good game in a competitive game is because Davos is fighting for his life to give you guys the W. Sometimes you’re a little lost, sometimes you clutch up. But usually it’s him, keyboard furiously clicking, eyes darting around his monitor. His face is literally in the monitor he’s so locked in. And you’re just in the call like (“Aw dang it I died.. woww you make it look so easy!”) “Me? No you’re doing work too—look at all those assists and kills you got. You’re pulling your weight too. You get ‘em low I clean up. It’s these other fuckers on our team that aren’t—“ (he went 30/14/5 and you went 10/21/16)

Regardless of your skills in video games, he gets so hype for you in them. Casual or competitive, he’s screaming about every single achievement you or you both make. A clutch round you win all by yourself? GG EZ TELL EM TO GO NEXT THEY DON’T WANT YOUR SMOKE. You build something in your shared Minecraft world? Stunning, beautiful. The architecture is to die for. The redstone? You did that all yourself? He would’ve thought you followed a tutorial it was so good!

Can eat, will eat. He’s a big strong boy, he’s gotta eat. Which means if you ask for Taco Bell or McDonald’s at 2 am? He’s gonna get some with you! You can honestly just text him an order and he’ll understand right away. This turns into you both driving around late at night, music blasting and you feeding him fries. Speaking of food; he’s a heavy believer in the ‘boyfriend tax’. He will steal a sip of your drink or a bite of your food, regardless of consequences.

I do believe Davos is sassy. It’s like dangerous levels of sass he gives you sometimes. It makes you do a double take. Side-eyes, eye rolls, scoffs, dramatic sighs. He is a drama queen.

How he deals with others who bother you in public can range between normal and not normal. Davos has a few options that run through his mind when you encounter a catcaller or unwanted advances. He can either tell the guy to fuck off, start a fight, start barking at him. He will bark, he has barked. It startled you more than the offending guy. But also Davos knows when to get serious, when to actually deal with someone who’s invading your space or not leaving you alone. He’s a tall dude, he works out. He can be pretty imposing. And he’s not afraid to be the first one to hit or push, especially if the offending man has gotten on his nerves too. And not just because they were trying to flirt or shoot a shot at you.

A big aquarium date guy. Or any date really. Actually, any way he can hang out or be near you is considered a date to him and something that makes his day much better. He likes spending time with you, and he likes showing you off to the public. He gets to walk next to you and say “that’s my date! They’re on a date with me!” It’s perhaps the best part of the whole day, being able to be seen right with you. Even if you’re just a passing couple, two people in the midst of a whole crowd, it’s still something to Davos. And that something tells everyone that you’re his.

Oh yeah, reddit is actually a no-go for me for any fandom because it's usually the people with the worst opinions possible going to it to discuss any show, and gilmore girls is no exception. The older logan fans that I mentioned that mainly consist of women in their 30s that have such a vicious hatred of Jess for just being a troubled teenager hang around there the most, and the Jess hate was particularly bad the last time I went around the gilmore girls thread in 2018. Any started thread or post that was basically a new fan saying something positive about Jess and his development, or said how realistically Jess wasn't as bad of a person as characters like Lorelai or even Dean made him out to be, was flooded by these logan fans that would use any obtuse argument in order to "prove" that that's not true. And almost always, these Logan fans were extremely condescending towards anyone that liked Jess and wanted to argue against their negative comments. Their go-to argument is that actually, people who love Jess are just women that used to have a big crush on Milo who was hot when they were young, and that there's practically no other reason why people would want to defend the character. I remember this one particular Logan fan who is like, in her 40s I believe, whose actual argument about Jess's offscreen development between the 4th and 6th season being "Well listen, we don't actually know what Jess was doing in that time. For all we know he probably got money off of cooking meth in New York and selling it to underprivileged kids." This particular Logan fan is also a fic writer and she even wrote a "satire" fic that was basically her just writing various scenarios where Jess was either hit by Mrs Kim or yelled at by various Stars Hollow residents. In all my browsing for gilmore girls fanfiction, I don't think I ever saw people write such spiteful material for Logan in the literati fics I've looked at.

I've also seen other Jess fans complain about the gg reddit thread, to the point where someone who tried to argue against Logan fans had to report some replies made by them because they were actually just personal offenses made towards the commentator, they weren't connected at all to any of the characters or towards Rory's boyfriends. And if you even so much as try to make a casual debate with them or call out their hypocrisy, they backtrack immediately by just saying some nonsensical argument because realistically, their viewpoint makes no sense, most of the time. Apparently to them, Logan is absolutely right all the time whenever he's on screen, to the point where even him being a jackass to Jess in 6x08 was actually Jess's fault because he got in Logan's way?? When Logan himself interrupted and then decided to ambush an outing that Rory and Jess made plans for that included just them, and he did it purely because he was so jealous and threatened by the same guy Rory insisted is just her old friend. Like, even Rory said Logan was being an ass in that episode, yet somehow to them, Logan was actually the victim in this scenario and Jess the villain.

Gossip Girl 2.0

So. . . I was unsure of whether I was going to talk about this or not but… in the end, here we are!

I shall be talking about the Gossip Girl Reboot.

Now quick disclaimer and mild *excuse you* to HBO, please find ways to make your content accessible to Europe because there are those of us that are interested and unfortunately your "Max" service is US only and honestly i see no reasonable logic behind it. Therefore my means of getting access to this content shall not be discussed.

Extra disclaimer, there will be spoilers. Doi.

Now I am a big die hard fan of the original GG series and despite the outdated (to today’s standards) comparisons and slang, some of the topics hold up even today. For anyone curious or questioning my opinion, based on my generation, I am mildly in the middle as a Zelenial at 23. I did not grow up with GG, I learned about it when I was 14 but watched it for the first time when I was 19. Since, I have watched it up to 14-17 times; more than 10 for sure. So you can do with that as you please. The main reason I mention this is due to some articles and comments pointing out that maybe it’s a “Gen Z only media” or that “Millennials are just bitter cause it’s not theirs”. Keeping that in mind I will be as per usual showing the ups and downs of the show (so far and later on) from my own personal perspective.

After watching ep 1. (& now 2 which will be in a separate post after this) I have a few questions, comments AND concerns. So let’s get into those shall we :)

So let's do a little round up of our characters.

We have newcomer Zoya Lott that is moving to NYC on a Constance scholarship! But little did anyone in the show know, it was all a plot to get to be with her *half sister*. WHAT?! So the tldl on that is that Zoya and our other main character, Julien Calloway, share a mom! Mom, that i quote "left Julien's dad for Zoya's dad and the dads hate each other" because of which hate, they had absolutely forbidden their daughters from communicating. One thing led to another, a friend request was sent and this is basically the parent trap. . . . but for the kids. . .and they're aware of it cause they made it. . . I suppose? The parents haven't really been mentioned to matter in their plan, however, they do keep bringing up their middle names as "Zoya Jane and Julien Elizabeth" as clues left by their mother? Now some rumours around the web have connected the names to the Pride and Prejudice novels and while that would be extremely Gossip Girl-esque to do, and I am entirely up for that, hell yea!!! I'm wondering if it's as simple as... their mother's name was Elizabeth Jane... but maybe GG will be the one to discover that secret first? Other than that, Zoya is very much a very trusting "innocent type" character that probably has more past than we know about so it will be quite interesting to see how that elaborates going further into the series.

Then there is self-made influencer Julien Calloway. She is the new version of queen at Constance but as stated, they "don't do the patriarchy anymore". While she appears all smiles and kindness, personally i feel as if JC is kind of fake? She has things she cares about yes, but the moment someone or something interferes with her followers and her social standing or Obie (more on him later)

When it comes to Julien I am honestly more curious to see who she is once you take away the followers and the media. Will she be an actual person or just a shallow obsessed spoiled brat? I just hope it won't be the typical story of "have to be perfect and have to have everyone like me because my mom left" ie. has mommy issues. That is how that cliche goes after all. So I am greatly hoping that's not going to be it for this one.

Obie Bergmann! We get introduced to Obie as Julien's boyfriend. Throughout ep 1, the things we learn about Obie are that he is basically the richest in the group, and lives in Dumbo. (irony from original GG for anyone that can guess it). He appears like a super nice and kind dude, a supportive boyfriend, kind of bland and tired of the relationship but the main thing that bothers me about him so far is his impossible to ignore "white guilt syndrome". For anyone unaware, "white guilt" is "remorse or shame felt by a white person with respect to racial inequality and injustice". While it's not a bad thing trying to make up for the in-equality in the world, here's hoping that's not his entire character cus that would get old quick.

Then we have the bestie, Audrey Hope. Audrey. . . is cold but to the point. Very analysing and observing. Definitely the type of character that would take all the info first and decide what to do after. I both like and am confused by her? Her cold mannerisms are quite enjoyable among the masses of drama and emotion I won't lie. However, i do predict a juicy threesome between her, boyfriend Aki and one Max Wolfe. Honestly, I am highly interested in how their relationship evolves.

Aki Menzies is kind of a mystery as of the moment. As to be expected with just 1 episode, we won't know too much about all the characters. He is the very supportive boyfriend that tries to keep the peace between everyone.

Max Wolfe on the other hand appears like the much more flamboyant version of Chuck Bass, if Chuck Bass had a supportive family environment and no limits on who he's dating. That's more or less for him but kuddos for his 0 hesitation to basically have a pic of his dick sent to everyone. I will never not find that hilarious. But again, between these three is my prediction for some juicy interactions. Cause to be fully honest, the chemistry is undeniable.

Monet de Haan. Ah. She is honestly the savage that we need around here. She is the control and the power behind Julien's brand honestly. I am curious how come she helps Julien with her brand rather than have her own? If we go off anything said in the episode, she is more feared than adored so maybe that's why? But Monet honey, fear can also have a following, just . . a different one.

And then there's Luna La, "The stylist" while we don't know much about her, some of her one liners are actively giving me life. Her and Monet are definitely a package deal and i wonder if there is juicier gossip there that we don't know yet.

Lastly, we have our new Gossip Girl. Young teacher, Kate Keller. I won't lie, i did not see us knowing who GG is from the get go. I am however wondering whether this will drag her down to the level of highschoolers (besides the fact that she looks younger than some of them xD) Something that is bothering me in the reboot however, is that technically, characters that represent adults, spying on minors??? Like they even make the point that "i shouldn't have these, i should be in jail" in regards to having almost naked pictures of the kids. Like it's not really okay??? In the original yea no one knew who GG was but they always knew it was someone their age. The teachers didn't care at those times. But they do now and I am not fully sure how okay it is.

And of course, the extras like some of the other teachers behind GG and the parents. We however, don't know too much about them as of now so we shall see soon. If any new characters are introduced they will be addressed but for now, onto the episode!

The half sisters plot is definitely interesting so I would love to know where the whole middle names thing will go. The story line I'm most interested in at the moment however is between Audrey, Max and Aki. I want to see that unwind into something horrendous but then beautiful! It has so much potential in my opinion. In terms of character development however i want to see who Julien is without all of her fame and followers. When the focus is not the media and the attention. I want to see that Julien.

The first episode definitely introduced us to a lot of things at once so far that is my take on them. I'm sure that in the future both the teachers and parents will be a bigger part but one thing is abundantly clear. Unlike the OGGG, there won't be more than maybe 2-3 seasons depending on the ages of the students. The teachers won't follow them onto college will they? Or will things drastically change along the way? It was rather amusing seeing them talk about all the old characters however, and reference the OG Gossip Girl. I am vaguely offended that they categorised twitter as "a glorified chatroom for memes for people over 30". Like dude. . . that hit me hard. I am happy that FB was never even mentioned as existing tho! Cause let's be honest that is not the "hip" thing anymore. But the rules they put down at the party definitely made my head spin. Had to listen to them twice to even get what was happening.

Nothing has changed. These people don’t listen. These people don’t learn. For over 30 years nothing has changed. Not one fucking thing since the riots and protests of the 90s has changed. They can’t grasp the idea that the human life is non-refundable. You can rebuild an economy. You can rebuild a city and make it look exactly the same. You cannot rebuild a life. “All lives matter!” They scream in response as they ignore quarantine orders and as our president pushes for coronavirus herd immunity, which would kill millions. “Blue lives matter!” They scream in response as they bring their rifles and automatics to “peaceful” and “brave” protests where they get into their faces and threaten the same cops that will attack actual activists only weeks later. Just like their president who only uses the Bible (a book he’s never read) and the Constitution (something he’s also probably never read) whenever it serves him, they only use their rights and privileges when it serves them.

I’m so sick of the hypocrisy from our own blood. My father taught me to give whatever I can and then some to those in need and go stand up for those who can’t for themselves or who don’t have a voice to raise. But he would turn around and call people on welfare “freeloaders” and at a young age teach me that “there are two types of black people. There are black people; educated, well-behaved, speak correctly, etc. And then there are n*gg*rs. They live in the ghetto, they’re criminals, violent, loud, uneducated, and don’t know how to speak properly.” He taught me to never say the “n-word” but used it freely whenever someone drove by and their loud music rattled our windows.

And my mother. She taught me to always be my true self and never let anyone tell me who to be. Yet she’s a completely different person around every person she meets. Even my father. Perhaps her chameleon ways are why I’m constantly questioning who I am and my motives. Do I really love girls, boys, and all things in between, or do I just want to fit in? Do I really feel uncomfortable with my gender or do I just want attention? Do I really want to be a part of this movement to actually help or am I just concerned about my legacy?

But then I see the videos. The photos. The interviews. I feel my blood boiling and my teeth grinding and the itching urge to slam Steve Harrington’s baseball bat into those cops’ riot gear helmets. “Stay down.” I imagine repeating their words to them as I bludgeon them with blinding rage. “Can you breathe?”

I’m angry and I’m sad. Because nothing has changed for over 30 fucking years and I refuse to let any more go by without change and reform. I refuse to have another 30 years go by only to have my children ask me, “Why hasn’t something been done?” I refuse to raise any hypothetical children of mine, whether they be my biological blood or an adopted piece of me, in a world where the color of their skin can mean life or death. I’m about as white as they come, so I have no personal experience of police brutality. And I don’t know anyone personally who has lost their life to it, thankfully. But my extremely empathetic ass doesn’t have to know anyone to feel their pain and sorrow. Fuck, you just have to make puppy-dog eyes at me and almost cry to have me feel for you. So these videos of crowds of protestors getting run over and pushed down and maced and shot and gassed and some almost losing their lives? I’m fucking furious. Hell hath no fury like an angry mother and they are all my children and I’m fucking pissed. It doesn’t matter that I’m only 19 and I’ve never been in a romantic relationship. You so much as breathe in my direction and you’re my child now. Sorry, I don’t make the rules. (Of course there are rules about who can and can’t be my child; like racists, any type of homophobes, and all Cheeto-dusted creatures are not allowed) If I so much as hear your voice crack or see your face or body language shift in the slightest, I’m going to fuck someone up for doing that to you. Nobody fucks with the people I love and gets away with it. And I love a whole lot of people. You’re reading this? I probably love you and you’re now my child. Unless you’re an asswipe. Today is the 19th day of July welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I’m Brian it's great to be here with you as we…we reach out our hand and twist the knob and throw open the gates and walk into a brand-new week that's just been waiting for us to get here. And our choices will write the story of the week. This is the last full week of the 7th month of the year. Next week…we have most of the week in this month and we’ll end next week by switching over into a new month. But no matter what week or day it is it is a joy to come around this campfire together to enjoy knowing that we are not in this alone and to let God's word speak into our lives. So, this week we’ll read from the New English Translation, the NET Bible and continue our journey through first Chronicles as well as Paul's letter to the Romans. But first, first Chronicles 28 and 29 today.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for bringing us into this brand-new week and we’re just looking at the last week of another month, the last full week of another month. And when we look at these days and times and where we are in the year it certainly locates us in the year and where we are but it's also this kind of constant reminder because we have this constant in our lives every day, every week, every month we have spent together in Your Word allowing it to speak into our days and weeks and months and it transforms us, it renews our minds, it challenges us, it rebukes us, it comforts us, it lifts us up, it tears down the things that need to come down and we’re grateful. And some of the things that we’ve gone through, yeah, they’ve been hard things, but You have been faithful to us. You are committed to our full and total restoration. And, so, we worship You today, we thank You for the gift of community, and the gift of the Scriptures and we invite Your Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth as we follow into this new week. And we pray these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

This is Dave the encourager from Southern California. I just got or I just heard the second or third call in from John in South Sudan. We all heard it…it was just incredible. This man obviously lost his brother to some terrible violence. Seven men broke in and killed his brother over the fact that he was simply a Christian. And now they found the men and they are looking to arrest them. They found out that they were paid to kill this man for 12 American dollars which all meant nothing. But John had called in to pray for these men to save their soul and this is why we want of Jesus Christ. Is it not? This is the reason we love God the Father, because we have human beings here that are praying for the most wicked human beings that they would be saved because they would know the joy that we already know. So, no matter what troubles that we face in life I’m so grateful to hear the stories like John from South Sudan and how he’s gone through tremendous suffering yet he focuses his efforts on the Father God, Jesus Christ whose come to save us all. So, let us all pray together as the DAB family team and pray for this man as praying for all the wicked men that took this guy’s brothers life and all the people in our lives. Good morning everyone this is Alecia and I’m calling from the beautiful island of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This is my first-time calling in. I have been listening to Daily Audio Bible for the past 2…3 years if I’m correct and I must say Brian you have been an inspiration for me. I love you too. And Jill, everyone, thank you for your work. It has always been an encouragement and even as I sit here there are many times when the Holy Spirit has prompted me to call in and I keep thinking, “O, my problems is not there problems.” But today…I mean this week I am going through a prayer and fast because I know that in order to accomplish things sometimes we have to go in prayer and fasting and this week I am because I believe that my God is the God of possibilities and that nothing is impossible for him. So, even as I sit here, I am going to share with you DABbers that you will join me in prayer for my marriage and my husband. We have been trying for the past four years to have children and things are not looking good. The doctor’s results were not the best. And even though my husband is broken by this result I choose to believe that nothing is impossible, and that God can turn it around. He rules the dead, He causes the blind to see. So, He can move this infertility and I can declare, and I decree it in the name of Jesus. So, even as I sit here, even as I commit this week into God’s hands, I declare that by the ending of this fast which ends on the 19th that the impossible would be made possible in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Kelly Sanchez, lead anchorwoman, stares gravely into the camera. It will be another day of news that no one wants to hear. 

“Good morning, Chicago. We’re here with your daily update of the coronavirus. Schools across the country have been canceled due to a significant shortage of public funding. These are funds that are currently being allocated to bail out the tanking airline industry. The President says that allowing the top corporations to suffer will result in a greater hole for the economy. We hope he’s right.

Meanwhile, bars, restaurants and shopping centers that have been re-opened early to boost the economy have not seen the dramatic rise in business that was expected. Perhaps people are too afraid to go out to dinner amongst the public, or perhaps they simply can’t afford it due to a loss of work. One thing we do know is that the most detrimental effect of these early openings is causing a further spread. As people in certain states that have not seriously social-distanced begin to cross state lines…”

Emma’s mom and dad are sitting on the couch, waiting for Kelly to tell them that things are going to get at least slightly better. But she doesn’t. It’s getting impossible to convince themselves that this will all be over soon--that everything will return to normal. It’s becoming likely that the new “normal,” if it ever comes, will be something that no one has ever seen.

Emma’s alarm wakes her up at 8:30 AM. She facepalms herself upon remembering that school doesn’t exist anymore and therefore alarms are canceled. Dammit. 

But then, she remembers that Universe is currently downloading to her external hard drive. The excitement of this sends a shock through her system and wakes up every cell in her body. It’s that “Christmas morning” excitement, which is marginally more enjoyable than that “about to run away with a possibly bad dude” excitement. That kind is good too, just, different. She runs over to her computer. 

16 HOURS REMAINING

Shit. The size of this application is no joke. Seemingly she’ll have to wait until tonight to begin her exploration. To find Mason. 

Emma remembers the talk they had last night, and reflects on his support of her relationships with her friends. She realizes that she didn’t know many people with that quality, guys especially...it seems like they always demand her full attention and become frustrated if asked to share. Especially one guy. Well anyway, Mason. Intriguing.

Emma heads downstairs to make herself a bowl of cereal. Oh wait, there’s no milk. And no cereal either? These days, groceries are scarce and pickings are slim. Ah well, might have to be plain oatmeal. Serious orphanage vibes--which is somewhat fitting since her parents wish they could leave her at one. 

Ugh. Every time you eat oatmeal, you forget how horrible oatmeal is. Isabel sits across the table from her, scrolling through her phone with intent and drinking black coffee. Emma smirks. 

“Aren’t you kinda young to be drinking coffee? Plus what do you have to energize for, your job at the office?”

Isabel pays no attention to her. 

“Hello? Okay what is up with you.”

Isabel looks up from her phone, a faraway look in her eyes. 

“Do you have a headset?” she asks. 

“Um, what do you mean? Like headphones? What are you talking about?”

Isabel looks down again. 

“No, like a viewing headset. Like an Oculus or a Vive. Aren’t you like, a tech nerd? You don’t do anything with VR?”

Odd request. Emma isn’t much of a gamer anymore, she used to play Dota and Warcraft, but that was before she decided to cut back to become more social. Spend time with her friends. Date an asshole. Whatever. But in all her experience with gaming, she had never gotten into VR. She never saw the point...either play games or experience the real world. What was the point in trying to achieve both at the same time?

“No I don’t. And you know those are expensive as hell, right?” 

Isabel looks nervous. 

“I know. Which is why...um, I was wondering, can I borrow some money?” 

Emma bursts out laughing. 

“No Iz, you can’t borrow 800 dollars to buy a VR headset. Hey are you aware that we’re going through a global pandemic and the world may or may not be ending? I think food and toilet paper are better investments than virtual tennis, or whatever.” 

Isabel just shakes her head. What is with this girl? She’s normally the queen of smartassery--loves to spar with Emma and argue about literally everything. She’s usually so ready for a fight, but now she feels surrendered. It’s weird how you can be trapped in such close quarters with a person and still feel like they’re on a different planet. 

Emma and Isabel are two years apart. Up until Emma was 6 and Isabel was 4, they were best friends. They shared everything. Isabel didn’t want to play with a toy unless Emma played with it with her. She wouldn’t wear clothing unless it was Emma’s hand-me-down. They shared a bedroom, the walls covered with monarch butterflies. Their mom went for a theme, tacky lamp shades and all, lord knows she tried her best. Often, they would stay awake late into the night, vividly describing the dream that the other sister would have. They thought if they focused hard enough, they could carry those dreams with them into sleep. 

But as they got older, things changed. The tacky butterflies were no longer endearing. Emma moved into a room that was being used as her dad’s office. She got a Nintendo DS for Christmas. And she started locking her door. 

Isabel was left to wonder where her role model went. But after Emma made it clear that her hobbies were no longer to be shared, Isabel hardened herself to the rejection. She promised herself to become her own person in any way that she could, to never be dependent on Emma to define her personality. 

In fifth grade, Isabel met Anush. They met because they were both teacher helpers in art class, and it was their responsibility to help set up the room before class and clean it up afterwards. They were both very outgoing, emotional, and honest. Isabel always told Anush exactly what she was thinking, and vice versa. The two girls were popular among their classmates, but the good kind of popular. They were kind, and they included the other girls who wanted to be like them.

So really, it makes no sense that Isabel is being the way that she is. She’s confident, vocal, and annoyingly optimistic. On a normal day. So what’s wrong?

“Emma, someone just dropped a package off for you.” 

Their mom called from the other room. Isabel leaves the table, stressed and defeated. Emma continues to chip away at the bowl of grey sludge in front of her. It’s crazy that there are still people out there delivering the mail--how long until that stops too?

OLIVIA: GG morning check-in: I want to talk about what the hell Serena sees in Dan 

MADISON: or what dan sees in serena?? Come on he’s like an intellectual and she’s a superficial barbie princess 

ZOE: Mad you know that is MISOGYNISTIC and that you’re letting the fact that she wears expensive dresses and has blonde hair cloud your judgement!! 

MADISON: oh shut up it’s early 

OLIVIA: Remember when you were begging not to watch the show??

MADISON: quarantine does weird shit to people ok

Emma enters the chat. 

EMMA: Ok but without Serena, don’t you think Blair is so much more lame? Like it’s the best friend combo that makes the show imo

ZOE: There she is!!!

MADISON: goooood morning to our very own barbie princess! 

OLIVIA: Why are any of us even awake? SCHOOL’S OVERRR. Should we like, do something?

EMMA: Like what? Sit on our asses and text each other from afar?

MADISON: sounds chill 

Emma laughs to herself. Damn. She’s going to miss them. 

Maybe there’s a way for her to tell...part of the truth? Leave the part about Julian out? Kind of a big part... Say she’s coming back? Make up a concrete opportunity? There has to be some sort of acceptable explanation...there just has to be. And even if she can’t come up with one...there are other things she wants to tell them about. Another boy. 

EMMA: Hey do you guys wanna do a zoom chat in a few min? Just kinda feel like talking more than texting rn 

MADISON: do u mind if i go back to bed and pass on that? I love u girl but i’m tired af  

ZOE: aaand same here, but it’s only because i’m supposed to do this thing…

OLIVIA: so call Gabriel?

ZOE: Wellllll...I don’t wanna lie to y’all.

Ha. Emma knows the feeling. 

EMMA: you out too Liv?

OLIVIA: I am innnnn give me a call when you’re ready 

MADISON: kiss kiss kiss

ZOE: kiiiiissssss

EMMA: bye losers 

Well, maybe telling one person is a good place to start. Liv is super understanding...she’ll be able to think of a good way to break the news to Mad and Zoe. Emma runs up to her room and closes the door. She flops down on her unmade bed, and facetimes Olivia.��

“Hey Liv”

“Emmmm”

Lingering silence. Emma just kind of stares at the wall. Olivia breaks the silence.

“Sooo what did you wanna talk about?”

Emma doesn’t know if she can do it. Ok, form words. Try. 

“I wanna tell you something, that’s kind of a long story. And it’s connected to other stories. And basically I’ve just gone too long without talking about any of it and now there’s like this big clusterfuck of details that I need you to know but can’t figure out where to start.” 

Whew. Even the vaguest of outbursts feels cathartic. Olivia doesn’t seem to be freaked out yet.

“Emma, I’m pretty sure I know you better than anyone. And you can trust me.” 

“I know you say that now but...I don’t know if, after I say what I, well I don’t know if you’re gonna trust me. I haven’t said everything that I need to say to you. Or Zo and Mad.” 

“Ok, so, here’s your chance. I’m listening.” 

Emma takes a deep breath. Where to start?

*knock knock* 

The knocks are soft. Unlike her mom’s, whose are very prison guard-esque, and actually who is more likely to not knock at all. Emma calls out. 

“What.” 

Isabel’s voice comes from the other side of the door.

“I gotta tell you something.” Her voice is uncharacteristically soft.

“I’m on the phone with Liv right now, can it wait?”

Silence. 

“Iz?”

Emma hears the creaking of Isabel’s footsteps down the wooden hallway, and then her beddoor shutting. Click, it locks. 

Emma turns back to the phone. 

“That was Iz, she’s been acting like a freak.” 

“What’s going on with her?”

“No idea. I feel like 14 is a weird age, plus like, she’s REALLY social and into school and shit. This quarantine is probably forcing an inversion of her personality.”

Olivia nods with sympathy. “God, that’s rough.” 

“Yeah...I feel kinda bad I guess. We just don’t really have anything to talk about.” 

“Oh come on, you’re sisters. Talk about how controlling your mom is.” 

Emma laughs. She flips onto her back and stretches her legs against the wall. Oh, physical exertion of any kind feels so unnatural. 

“Well Liv...we do have one thing in common. Which is...one of the things I haven’t told you.” 

Emma fights a smile. 

“TELL ME”

“So I saw Isabel playing this weird computer game, I mean I don’t even know if it was a game or like what the hell it was, but now, I’m downloading it…”

“Uh, ok?? Why?”

“This is going to sound insane, but hear me out…”

“Hearing…”

“I got this...message...online. From someone who I’ve never met. A guy, I think, and his name is Mason.”

“OOOMG” 

“Hahah well it’s not like that, I mean I have no fucking idea WHAT it’s like, because it’s very weird, and um, he’s the reason I’m downloading this game. The one that Iz is playing. Cuz he told me to.”

Silence. 

“That...is really fucking weird.” 

“I know.” 

“You don’t even know how badly I wish I was coming over right now to go all detective on his ass right now with you…”

Emma laughs. “I know you would be. It’s so weird being here alone.”

“You’re not alone Em!!! I’m here. I know it doesn’t feel like it, but I’ll ALWAYS be here for you. That’s corny as hell but hey it’s true.” 

“Hah, yeah...same. I’m here.” 

How can Emma keep this incredibly annoying feeling of guilt suppressed? It’s kind of ruining the buzz of anything else. But it will be ok. Olivia will understand... 

*ping*

Emma has come to expect that any message received to her ghostwriter account will be from Mason. She jumps up from her bed, still on the call with Olivia. Emma starts to get excited. 

“So this is crazy but he just messaged me, ahhhhhh…”

“Eeee tell me what he said!!”

Sure enough, the message is from Mason.

MASON: hi! did you get it yet?

Emma reads the message aloud to Olivia, who is equally confused.

“What is he talking about?

“I have no idea…”

Emma starts typing a response. 

EMMA: Good morning! Get what..?

MASON: a package!

Emma looks confused. Was it...Mason who sent the package? What the hell? How does he know where she lives?? Well at this point she’s not surprised. 

“Liv, I gotta call you back!” 

“Ok you BETTER tell me what the hell this package situation is because congratulations this is now the most interesting thing happening in my life!!!” 

Emma ends the call and runs downstairs. Her parents haven’t moved from the couch, still watching coverage of the virus’s destruction on TV.

“Hey Mom where’s that package??”

“Iz said she’d bring it up to you.”

“What? Can you not give her my mail?”

Emma’s mom turns to face her. “Attitude. Chill.” 

Emma rolls her eyes and runs upstairs. She knocks on Isabel’s door. Well, bangs, really. 

“Hi ready to talk now. What’s up??” 

No response. As Emma presses her ear against the door, she can’t hear anything. She jiggles the handle, it won’t open. 

“This is really weird. Hello.”

“Hellooooo.”

“Fine, we don’t have to talk. But I need my package. Now.” 

……

Emma grabs the little key from behind the thermostat in the hallway. Isabel will just have to forgive her for this. Emma inserts the key into the lock and…

The lock clicks, the handle turns, and the door opens. 

Emma enters the room, ready for Isabel to yell at her. 

“Iz??”

First Emma sees the packaging. The medium-sized cardboard box on the ground, the bubble wrap, the plastic…it had clearly been torn off in a hurry...

Isabel is sitting at her computer, her back turned toward Emma.

“Isabel?!”

Emma runs over and jerks the swivel chair to face her, and Isabel slouches over. She’s wearing a virtual reality headset. 

The one that was sent to Emma in that package.

“ISABEL”

Isabel’s ears are covered with oversized headphones, but even without them, she wouldn’t be able to hear Emma anyway. Her body is limp. Non-responsive. 

Emma starts panicking and checks Isabel’s pulse--steady. Her breathing, normal. What is happening here? What is going on??

Then Emma sees the computer screen. 

The map. That fucking map. 

She turns back to Isabel. She thinks of Mason. She realizes.

The right question is not “What”, but “Where.”

Choukoku was fighting a man in a street fight, in the middle of a wild crowd. She was bleeding and exhausted.

Choukoku : GAAAAH..!!!!!!! GG..!!!! HAN..!!!!!!

Man : COME ON, GET UP !!!!!!!!!!! (hitting her)

Choukoku : (trying to protect herself, struggling) KKK..!!!!!!!!! GRAAAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!

She hit him back, determination and rage crossing her face. The crowd was screaming, throwing bottles of beer on the ground, making noise.

Man : (kicking her brutally) IT WON’T BE ENOUGH TO PAY YOUR DEBTS, HUH ???!!! IT’S KINDA LAATE !!!! (laughing mockingly)

Choukoku : GGG..!!!!!! I... (stood up) I HAVEN’T GIVEN UP YET..!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (hitting the man relentlessly, not letting him the time to retaliate, screaming, almost crying) WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The man was K.O, Choukoku falling on the ground, suffering, her left arm injured, taking the money that someone threw at her feet. The crowd left the place, taking the man with them. She sat, thinking about her mother who was in a bad condition, tears coming out. She promised her to pay for the care but knew that the small amount of money that she had wasn’t enough as she also needed to pay her mother’s debts.

Yuko : Hey Choukoku, you’re okay ?!

Choukoku looked up, a bit surprised when she saw Yuko, this one smiling nicely at her, giving her a wipe.

Yuko : (smiling) Normally it should be fine.

Choukoku, serious, took the wipe and put it on her arm. All the injuries on her face and body were gone.

Choukoku : (stood up) Thanks...

Yuko : You’re always strong !!

Choukoku : This is not enough.

Yuko : Don’t be too hard with yourself ! If it’s not working well today, tomorrow will be better !

Choukoku : (leaving) It’s the kind of thing that I hear most of the time... Everyday is same for me.

Yuko : (following her) Eh ?? Well, let’s say that one day it’ll be better !! (smiling)

Choukoku : I don’t believe in miracles.

Yuko : Eeeeh, girl you’re depressing you know, I’m trying to make you smile !!

Choukoku : You’re always optimistic Yuko, I don’t know how you do it... Why are you following me anyway ?!

Yuko : (playful) I want to stay a little with my friend !!

Choukoku : (serious) I don’t have any friend and I don’t need one.

Yuko : (smiling) Hahaha, you..

She suddenly understood what Choukoku really meant and became serious.

Yuko : (serious) Girl if you don’t have friends how can you relate in life ?!

Choukoku : I prefer to stay alone and only trust myself. Don’t need that kind of friendship thing or whatever it is...

Choukoku : In life you can’t count on others but only on yourself. This way you won’t be disappointed by anyone. The more you get closer to someone, the more you get hurt...

Yuko : (stopped walking, wondering) Hmm... guess you’re true somehow... But !! (walking) Living alone is not a good thing you know, you also hurt yourself, it’s suffering !

Choukoku : It makes you stronger.

Yuko : (smiling) You’re right, and you’re a strong samurai ! But you at least need a partner with who to share your life, how is it ??

Choukoku : I don’t believe in love either.

Yuko : EH ????!!!! Oooh come on, that’s too depressing !!

Choukoku : (smiled) I’m a natural depressive girl.

Choukoku didn’t say anything, still looking at her, wondering how this girl could stay so positive all the time and always smiling.

Yuko : So... I need to go to the shop there, come on !!

Choukoku : Eh ???!!!

Yuko : I need to buy new sportswear clothes, look at my pants !

Choukoku : (mocking, smiling) Those are old...

Yuko : Yeah, I also need snapbacks !!

Yuko : I broke them in recent fights... Don’t you need one ??

Choukoku had no choice, Yuko dragging her to the shop. 30 mins later they came out and bought 2 cans of energy drinks, walking in the streets, drinking.

Yuko watched her laughing, a smile on her face, happy to see Choukoku like this.

Choukoku : (surprised) Since when you’ve started training now ??!!

Yuko looked at her, smiling without doing anything. This eye contact troubled Choukoku a bit, this one getting off of her. Yuko got up. 

Yuko : Your feelings always take over when you’re about to finish your opponents... You never cross the line, you have a big heart.

Choukoku : (a little embarrassed) Of course, I’m not gonna kill anyone... It’s all about controlling yourself.

Yuko : Yeah, I know but with you we can feel it’s different, you have this wisdom inside. You don’t want to hurt, whatever the circumstances.

Choukoku : (blushing) I’m not a cat either... I’m not gonna hurt my friend...

Yuko : (big smile, teasing) You said I’m your friend ????

Choukoku : (little smile) What’s with that stupid face ??!! You look like a child...

Yuko : So you love me finally !!

Choukoku : I never hated you !

Yuko : Glad to hear it, we can date each other then !!

Choukoku : What ???!!!

Yuko : HAHAHAHA !!!!! Just kiddin !!!!

Choukoku : (laughing, shaking her head) Tss...

Yuko : Hahaha !!! Hey, I made you laugh more than anyone else could since you entered in Majijo !! That’s a record ! 

Choukoku : (laughing) Come on...

Yuko : Okay, let’s go home ! Where’s your place ?

Choukoku : This way...

The 2 girls walked in silence, hands in the pocket. Few mins later they arrived in front of Choukoku’s place, a garage. Choukoku opened it, going inside, Yuko following her. There was Choukoku’s tuned car between some training stuff, the bedroom and the bathroom. Yuko was looking at the car, seeing how perfectly clean it was. She was very interested about tuning, like most of the yankiis but more than the others. She sat in Choukoku’s vehicle.

Choukoku : (putting her clothes away) Nice, right ? You can reach 230 in just 3 secs easily. 

Yuko : Really ??!! Daamn ! (She tried it, using the handbrake) WOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Choukoku smiled, seeing the girl having fun.

Yuko : (stopped the engine) Mine has 235 but only in 5 secs !! (getting out of the car)

Choukoku : That’s more than what I have and you’re complaining ??!! (laughing)

Yuko : I just wanted you reacting on this fact !!

Choukoku : Tss, hahaha !!!

Yuko : Your garage is good, really. Ah how’s your mother doing by the way ?

Choukoku : (a bit sad) It’s not getting worse but... I need to get more money to help her...

Yuko : I see... Well, I can help you for that, how much do you need ??

Choukoku : No I refuse, I’ll solve this myself !

Yuko : Come on, you’re in trouble Choukoku I see it ! Let me help you !

Choukoku : No this is my business !!! I don’t need anyone, thanks !!!

Yuko : You can’t handle it all by yourself, that’s why friends are here !!!

Choukoku : Stop please !!!!!!! I said this is my own problem, not yours !!!! I’m a fighter, I’ll sort myself out of this.

Yuko looked at her, a bit distraught, not knowing what to do, seeing Choukoku’s expression. She finally gave up.

Yuko : (sighed) All right... but if you need me, I’ll be here for you okay ?!

Choukoku nodded as a thanks, serious. 

Yuko : (smiled, suddenly noticing Choukoku’s furniture) Hey you’ve got plenty video games, woooh !!! (taking some of them)

Choukoku : (smiled) Wanna play ?

Yuko : Yeah !! 

The 2 started to play. Choukoku had plenty about war, adventure, fighting and a few about football and basketball.

Choukoku : You suck !!

Yuko : Hey, it’s not because I’m Majijo leader that I win all the time !! It’s 3-1, I can score another goal you know ! You’re really tough aaah..!!! Shit !!!!!!

Choukoku : 4-1 !!! Ooh !!

Yuko : 4-2 now !!! Well, I’m not in the game today...

Choukoku : (smiled) Definitely not !

Yuko : Next time will be better. Okay I’m gonna go now, it was fun ! (serious, standing up, leaving) If you wanna meet tomorrow for training just call me.

Choukoku : (walking her out to the garage door) No prob.

Suddenly Yuko tried to hit her but Choukoku immediately stopped her, both of them looking at each other, serious.

Yuko : Always on your guard.

Choukoku : Always.

They kept staring at each other, having a lot of mutual respect and somehow measured admiration. When they talked between them a few times, it was a feeling of a great understanding of life struggles, fighting, experience, putting them on the same level, very mature. Yuko gave her a cool handshake and their eyes met again. They both didn’t move, feeling suddenly a tension around them. Choukoku was unable to react, though she really wanted to but Yuko was troubling her. Hesitation was for Yuko, who got so much respect for Choukoku, not sure of how she was feeling. She finally slowly grabbed Choukoku’s forearm, looking at her, a bit anxious. Choukoku had her eyes on Yuko’s hand, feeling a good sensation inside of her. She then looked at the Majijo boss, her heart beating suddenly fast, trying to find answers into the girl’s eyes. 

Yuko slowly got her face closer to Choukoku, confident, closed her eyes and kissed her. She watched the MMA girl’s reaction, this one not taking her eyes off of her, not moving. Yuko looked at her lips, her face and was about to kiss her again as Choukoku grabbed Yuko’s forearm, returning the favor. They kissed again, faster now that everything was starting. Choukoku pushed gently Yuko up against the wall and stopped for 2 secs, staring at her. This one smiled as Choukoku kissed her. Yuko touched the MMA girl’s chest, Choukoku lifting Yuko up and carrying the girl to her car, putting her down in the front seat. Choukoku was on her top, staring at her. She took her own clothes off, revealing her muscles. Yuko touched her, impressed though she didn’t really show it but Choukoku knew how she was feeling and smiled a little. Yuko did the same by taking her own clothes off too. Choukoku blushed, seeing how beautiful was her body, the girl having muscles too. Not as much as she had but... quite visible. Yuko smiled, having noticed Choukoku’s expression, and this one kissed her, happy. She left kisses on her body and Yuko blushed, her heart beating fast. They kissed for a while before Choukoku kissed her ear and necked her, Yuko closing her eyes, starting to react. Choukoku kissed her chest, doing the same to her belly, feeling how Yuko’s body was giving more signals. She slowly removed Yuko’s bra, blushing a bit when she looked at her boobs. She was confused, not being able to breathe normally. Yuko smiled at her like saying that it was okay and Choukoku looked at her belly. She was wondering how Yuko could be so calm, confident, relax. Unlike her, she was so tense, Yuko was troubling her more, thinking about the girl’s reputation.

My Top 30 K-Pop Songs o f 2018

I felt like sharing what my favorite songs were this year, but I lack the resources and artistic ability to make cool graphics like everyone else is doing, so I settled for a  nice list. Also I should probably do the tags that I have saved in my drafts but I wanted to get this out while it’s still in season!

In no particular order besides the top 3:

1. Love Bomb - fromis_9: I knew this was my favorite song of the year from the moment I heard it. The verses were really happy and peppy while the chorus feels nostalgic and dreamy. There were some days where I’d walk to my class with this song on loop and I’d instantly feel better!

2. Egoist - Olivia Hye/LOONA: currently the most played song on my phone only because love bomb came out too late in the year. I love the sounds in this song and the mood it creates.

3. Shine - Pentagon: deserved all the awards it never got as the best boy group song of the year

11. Giddy Up - The Boyz: man I really slept on the boyz during debut and I feel bad, now I gotta catch up on their entire discography bc every song they released this year was 11/10

12. Fermata - Girls’ Generation Oh!GG: the melody is so so pretty

13. 134340 - BTS: wasn’t my favorite BTS release at the start, but won me over with the lyrics

14. Seesaw - Suga: SPEAKING of lyrics...this man is a master

15. Blue Moon - BTOB: their music is so flawless that it’s sickening, I love that they tried out jazz with this one

17. Full Moon - Dreamcatcher: I love the chorus melody on this one!

18. Get It - Pristin V: @pledis where is pristin. you can’t throw me this song and walk away like that

19. See Sea - Hyolyn: had a year of amazing singles that left me really wanting that solo album

20. Save Me, Save You - WJSN: I am upset, distraught, LIVID, that neither of WJSN’s releases this past year were considered for choreography awards! I love both dances equally, but I prefer this song slightly more than Dreams Come True 

21: Nekkoya - Produce 48: considered putting Rumor on this list bc I actually listen to it more, but it doesn’t stay in my head on loop as long as this song does. Best Produce title track

22. Mosquito: Red Velvet: another pick mostly because of the lyrics, but the Power Up b-sides are strong in general

23. Chemistry - SHINee: I implode everytime the chorus hits

24. We Go Up/1, 2, 3 - NCT Dream: I cheated, I’m sorry I seriously couldn’t decide. I was originally going to put 1,2,3 only but then I remembered how I was completely sold on we go up after the first 3 seconds of jaemin rapping

25. Remember Me - Oh My Girl: I really missed Mimi rapping on a title track, and this song in general gave me older kpop vibes that I love

26. PUTP - Jimin Park ft. Kino, WOODZ, and Nathan: just the fact that Kino doesn’t pick up his phone and his pals were so annoyed they had to write this entire song is extremely amusing

27. Feeling - UNB: temporarily ignoring the fact that both UNB and UNI.T were completely shat on by their management, all of their music they released this year was top tier

28. Oh! My Mistake - APRIL: a late blooming song that I didn’t become obsessed with until two weeks ago

29. Baby - The Rose: I don’t really understand how people haven’t jumped on the bandwagon with this one given that their main vocal sammy sounds Like That

Behind on asks again, but directors show up a week before their episode starts in order to prep. They have to help find locations, figure out what they want their shots to look like, etc. So they’re filming 4.16 right now, and Kevin is prepping 4.17 which will start next Thursday.

I still don’t understand how people are calling TF the IW show. I love IW but does she really have her own storyline that isn’t connected to BA, in my opinion no. Right now her storyline is truly WA & being there for BA. Maybe I’m wrong, do you think that IW has had so much focus this season?

You know how studies show that once women make up 30% of a group, men think they’re outnumbered? It’s like that. As soon as Iris gets anything for herself, they think she’s taking over. She’s the leader of the team, which is a position just like any other team member, and she’s got her relationship with Barry. She hasn’t ‘taken over’ any episode except maybe 4.05, and Caitlin had more screentime than her in that one. These people just hate that she’s important.

How can haters blame Iris and WA for the drop in ratings when 4x10 ended the way it did and Iris and WA were missing from all the promo material? Even if you were just a part of the general audience, you’d think there would be no WA with one half of it in prison right? I certainly wasn’t expecting anything from this episode. Despite the demo it’s also interesting that 4x10 was the most viewed episode since 4x03 (excluding the crossover).

@rrow hit a 0.3 😱 I agree with that Anon in general ratings are down. I’ve read a few articles that said ABC, CBS, NBC etc etc are all down significantly compared to last year. It’s a trend that most don’t see stopping anytime soon. Fl@sh losing ratings seems bigger cause it was in top for so long. What people need to understand that the age where live ratings represent the only source of income for shows is gone. Especially for a network like CW.

Yes, everything is down. There’s no denying that Flash has lost a little more comparatively, but that’s not due to one character who has always been as important she she currently is. More likely, it’s the whiplash in tone and now the terrible handling of the trial (people don’t wanna see their hero in prison, thus they lost 400K viewers from 4.10 to 4.11).

The character Ralph is to blame for the ratings on Flash. Ever since he started, his brand of humor and sexist comments turned so many people off. That and the way Wally was treated have been factors in the ratings slipping. Next week’s episode looks worse with the shrinking and stuff. They need to get back to figuring out how to stop the Devoes.

That’s another possibility, and it’s partly to do with tone. His humor is both sexist and childish, which contributes to the feeling that Flash is more juvenile this season.

Yeaaaah black lighting dropping to a 0.6 is not great for it’s second night. To be fair this past Tuesday wasn’t great for any show on any network. I think this is just the new normal and it’s not really a reason to panic imo.

Shows always drop significantly after a series premiere, but I agree. Flash is still #1 and Black Lightning is currently tying for #2 with Supernatural.

TF’s ratings deteriorating faster than the other Arrowverse shows has me kinda worried tho. If this trend continues it may sink to SG/LOT demo #s by the end of the season. I honestly think some ppl aren’t really feelin this storyline. We’ve been getting some great WA angst lately, but the trial was a disappointment, Barry in prison is kinda meh, & I’m not diggin the focus on Ralph. They’re gonna drag out The Thinker plotline and it’ll end up losing traction just like last season with Savitar.

I get why you would worry, but right now it’s just a one-off. The ratings dropped to 0.7 in the fourth episode of the season and then bounced back up. Perhaps they will do so again this time.

Was keiynan really fired from the flash?

No. He and the producers found a spot for him on Legends because: 1) he wanted more time off due to his anxiety, 2) Flash was overcrowded with team members not getting their chances to shine, and 3) Legends was losing two original team members.

What is C@nadag bitching about exactly? CP still signs stuff for him from time to time. He says it on his Twitter page “Got autographs from CP”. He’s been awful for years and CP hasn’t given him the metaphorical finger yet.
