Leave it to Dick and Kory to say ILY without using those exact words. “I thought I’d lost you” in DickKory means “I love you.” He said it not once, but twice within the span of a couple of days. What made it extra special the second time he said it was Kory’s acknowledgment and response. She heard his tape recording, she knows how he feels. Her response - “Me too” followed by the long awaited second kiss and “Whoa” It was perfect. In fact I thought the last 20+ minutes of the Titans finale was perfect given all they had to get through. And their final scene!! Their chemistry is 🔥 🔥 Dick and Kory happy, free, strolling down a San Francisco street. Both see the woman pushing a baby carriage with a red 🎈and Dick immediately starts talking about making human/Tamaranean babies! The heated way he looked at her, the way she was smiling at him. Her signature touch of his arm, telling him to slow down, Dick joking about her paying for something “for once” followed by her leading him home. Kory is literally bouncing, they’re holding hands and smiling at each other 🥰 I want more! I’m sad the show is over, but have hope that in the future we can see DK played by Anna and Brenton and their family to include baby Mar’i on the big screen! If not somebody cast them together in a romcom (for science).

Sorry this is so long, but I can’t stop thinking about that random Christmas scene in the Titans finale. It seemed so out of place. However, while down in the rabbit hole it occurred to me 😂 Given that DK get together at the end of the series finale but we know now Mar’i was coming S5. What if that scene was actually supposed to be the ending scene for S4 and a setup for S5? The house they were all in looked like Wayne Manor, but could’ve been one of Bruce’s mansions (that DK moved to, perhaps in Bludhaven, to be closer to Rachel 😉) They’re all getting together for the holidays. Gar is back from the Red, Conner and Krypto come in from Metropolis. Tim is with his family in Gotham. It’s also a call back to DK being a couple and living domestically in Caul’s Folly. I know that Rachel’s hair is dark again, but it was dark in the future vision Zadira showed Kory of the team and Mar’i in the park for her birthday party too. Kory’s jewelry makes it seem like it was in the past (and the auto description said it was in the past) but after sacrificing herself Kory got her fire powers back so it wouldn’t be a stretch for her to use her old jewelry. The story about the star and baby Jesus I thought was tied to Kory’s rebirth in the finale, but it could also serve to foreshadow baby Mar’i coming #NightStar In that case, DK being all hugged up makes more sense as well!

You have a point! Would be an awesome setup and now we won't have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭 (and honestly, even if it didn't make sense I loved having at least a few seconds of them acting domestically, it makes me cry thinking what we could have had in a whole season of them like that T_T).

My brain still thinks we're waiting for another season. I still can't digest that this was their last season. Probably I'll never will T_T

Tati, this is my safe space so I’m dreaming 🥰 I need WA to have those Twins. However, S5 they’ve been less intimate and more parent. You say in the podcast we get a 🛌 scene in 5.21. I don’t. I’m moving it to 6.01! Adding we get a pre+post coital scene 🤫 Pre- we get Iris encouraging an eager Barry up to the bedroom while Focus by H.E.R. plays in the background. Post, their both in bed, dazed/confused 🥴 and 😁 while Best Part also by H.E.R. plays in the background. #Don’tWakeMe

As for Oliver’s death, I do think Barry and The Flash will step in to become the lynchpin of the universe after Arrow ends. I’m just not sure if that will translate to respect for Iris and WA because they went so long without it, but we can hope! I expect we will at least see Iris reporting, rallying the public, and then having to write Oliver’s obit in the Crisis crossover.

i saw someone say barry and iris act like the most unmarried married couple they’ve ever seen on tv. i have to agree. i think there could be SOME extra warmth btw the actors even if the writing isn’t there, if things were comfortable/natural enough btw them irl for them to make it happen.

Nora’s meddling with time could plausibly cause both those things. Her getting a twin, and them being born earlier. Think about it, the writers rarely tease something and don’t pay it off. The closer we come to Nora going back to her time, the more WA is going to want a baby. Barry denies Iris NOTHING! They’re going to start trying sooner rather than later. I suspect the, “We’re going to need more diapers line” will be uttered in episode 21 always big for WA or in the finale 5x22 🥰

I don’t think they are gonna start sooner than later, but the rest is plausible.

Hi Eboni! I hope you’re having a great week as well! Yes, Todd is not to be trusted so I expect Don to be name dropped at some point lmao. I don’t know that he’d ever actually appear (at least not in season 5), but I expect Nora to mention him before Barry and Iris send her back to her time. And then perhaps we can get the “we’re gonna need more diapers” line.

We were so robbed. A 5th season would have been Chef’s kiss. Clearly, I’m going to be bitter until the end 😂 In the interest of my sanity, I’m charging all the WB’s regrettable cancellations to the dust, and letting the rain settle it. Two more episodes to go before Titans ends 😔

yeah I think the timing of the Tim-Jason stuff could've been done a lot earlier in the season like we're about to be at the endgame, we need to keep it moving!!!!!! but I adore Tim so I'm happy he finally gets some growth and story not tied to a grown man romance.

Thanks! I’m not sure if I read the rant you’re referring to specifically or not, but I disagree with the general idea. “Barry” is Iris’ husband, and she happens to also like his abs. That’s pretty much the only reference she made that would be considered objectifying him, but it’s different for a couple to tease each other like that than for one of us to say that about a stranger. (Plus, women are constantly objectified in the media, so if some men wanna volunteer…) ((That’s mostly a joke!))

I love when anons come into your inbox acting brand new. Yes, it’s WA fans who send all the hate in this fandom 🙄 There are definitely some fans who I want to take all of their technology away, don’t get me wrong but overall I’d say the WA fandom keeps to themselves unless they get provoked.

Yeah, humanity + anonymity = bad news every once in awhile, no matter which fandom or corner of the internet you’re looking at. But WA fans are usually too busy promoting Candice because the marketing team won’t, so we don’t have that much time to mess around.

There are people who don’t like his wife because of ways she has shaded CP and WA and ignorant racist things she and her friends have done. I still don’t advocate for people to send hate to her because she’s with GG, but there is dislike of her for valid reasons. It bothers me when (new) fans pretend those who dislike her do so because they want Gr@ndice. Most fans liked GG’s ex Hannah for example. It is not about wanting Candice with him and more about the fact that she’s not a good person.LA and GG cont. There is this much defense of her where there isn’t for CP and that’s incredibly transparent. Most criticism of her is confined to spaces she and GG don’t even see and is centered around her actions more than her being with GG. Ofc there are fans who dislike her because she isn’t CP, but it’s ridiculous to silence valid criticism of her. If she and GG choose to share their lives and choices with the public, they don’t get to decide how it is received, especially if it’s offensive

I don't think Felicity deserves an heart to heart with Iris. Iris already had to console Felicity about her relationship with Oliver in Crisis on Earth X, even though it was Iris who's wedding was ruined. Then, Felicity rudely interrupted Iris and Barry's makeup wedding. I don't really think their friendship is fair to Iris. I have no interest in seeing Iris play therapist for poor Felicity again and get no support in return. I want SnoWest over either of our girls and Felicity.

LOL, well, I can see not feeling Felicity deserves it. I’m not here for Iris/Caitlin, but I would happily take any female friendship where someone actually listens to Iris and her issues instead of the other way around. Maybe Cecile can be the one if they ever give them another scene. Or Sue when she arrives!

Aww, I love it too. They are definitely a certain soft way with each other that they aren’t with anyone else, and the rest of the world falls away when they look at each other. 

It would be nice to Have It All, but I will take the end of the stick that I’ve got with this ship over almost any other I’ve seen. (My other OTPs that have stood the test of time got the WA side of things too, so clearly that’s just my preference.)

IDG why people claim to be WA fans yet think that the OF love story is portrayed better 🤔 If that were the case Guggie and the other show runners wouldn’t be trying to make their IT couples more like WA 🙄 Barry has been in love with Iris since he was 10 years old. And while he’s been with other woman, they never measured up. Iris was always his one “TRUE” love. And LBR, Iris was with Eddie in S1 basically because Barry was in a coma for 9-months. They’re so much deeper than OF.

If you are a fan of OF, then presumably you like what you’ve gotten for them. But I think WA fans who want more just assume OF are getting it, because from actually watching the show I can tell you they get a lot less than WA.

Yeah, the crossover hasn’t been as iffy as I expected (granted, I only watched Part 1 all the way through and flipped back and forth with Part 2) but it does seem strange that Kara hasn’t had more to do. Wish they had thought of a legit plot for her rather than just witnessing Barry and Oliver’s weirdness. And Iris’s exclusion continues to grate. It makes no sense that she didn’t go along.

Right there with you. There’s no reason they couldn’t have brought her to E1 and switched her with someone so that she can learn a lesson too, like maybe what it means to be truly human vs. alien, I don’t know. 

I didn’t watch tonight’s crossover, but from what I heard, Iris is mentioned a lot, but somehow, the writers couldn’t make room for her physically. This crossover, I wanted my Iris/Lois/Kara team up. I think the actress that played Lois said she was disappointed that she didn’t get to work with CP for the crossover. I don’t know if anything in Elseworlds make sense.

It’s a sad indicator of what they value enough to pay for and what they don’t.

Oh great. Bringing back the “Grant and Candice have have issues being ‘intimate’” argument. How many interviews, BTS videos, gag reels, and deleted scenes do people want to ignore?? Please don’t put this on the actors. They are not the ones running, writing, directing, or editing the show. They can’t act scenes that aren’t written; and even when they do, they get cut. Not. their. fault.

Yeah, the chances that they are the ones stopping it are pretty much zero. I have already brought up the deleted scene 100 times, but it’s proof they will get the job done if there’s a job to get done lol.

One thing TF writers shut down with last weeks episode was the h8rs claim that Iris loved Eddie more than Barry. IK they will continue to say it, or come up with a new spin to justify the claim, but the proof is in how my girl jumped of the roof of that building after her man without the slightest bit of hesitation. Caitlin would have doubts she could do it, would have to stop to think about it, and weigh her options. He would’ve died. Cisco and Nora were the WA fandom in the end!!

You speak absolute truth. Iris is ride or die for Barry, and everyone can see it.

Did you see the CW president’s compliment to Candice? If anyone at the CW had a brain, they would’ve milked Candice being cast as the CW and DC being forward-thinking, plastered her face on the cover of all magazines and made a big deal about changing the face of comic book leading ladies. Especially since she was one of (if not the) first racebent leading female characters in any comic book adaptions and given all the other women that followed after because of how successful it was. But alas.

I saw it and I loved it. Unfortunately, CW only knows what PR is when it comes to Riverdale.

the fact that it’s pretty obvious to me that candice preferred to be standing with the people on the right side of that pic (DN, JPK and HS) is unfortunate, considering they’re all people who joined the show in the last year. sigh. my biggest question is whether this is ALL because of dp- like would she be closer to the rest of them if not for her? she seems to like TC and CV just fine (her and grant are cordial at best, imo)

Like you said, she likes both Tom C. and Carlos, she’s previously praised them individually as people and hung out with them too. Grant, she at least respects as an actor and coworker even if they’re not that close. So yeah, if Candice didn’t wanna be on that other side, it’s because of one person.

I can no longer support Grant. I think you can probably guess why. As the Flash, he is phenomenal. As a person, he is trash. From now on, it’s only Candice, JLM, Key, Dani N, Tom C, and maybe Carlos and some guest stars for me.

I saw a couple people suggesting that this new Wells could be Thawne in disguise. One of the things they pointed to was a moment at the end of the episode when he was talking to Nora and his accent slipped when he said "the temptation was too great". I'm willing to write that off as just being a mistake on Tom C's part. But what do you think of the idea of it being Eobard?

I think Sherloque being Eobard would be unnecessarily repetitive, but I think someone might be Eobard. Perhaps the someone that nudged Nora in the direction of stopping the satellite…

Me too! I think the answer lies somewhere between: 1) Iris threw herself into work and Justice League-ing to avoid Barry’s death and Nora felt neglected2) Iris wouldn’t talk about Barry/Flash to Nora to a Joe West degree3) Iris forbade Nora from superhero-ing (I mean, she is pretty bad at it…) either from the get-go or after something else bad happened

Same I absolutely do not think she’d get Eddie tattooed on her body or any other boyfriend I def thought it was a Flash tattoo and that’s be hilarious I hope they explain.

i really, really don’t care about Caitlin at all. i’m sorry, but this increased screentime for her is trying my patience. my eyes automatically drift from the screen in these scenes. look, Panabaker has no screen presence as an actress. she has no ability to be funny OR dramatic. she has never brought any life into Caitlin as a character, and KF isn’t even a Flash canon character, really. she can’t carry a whole subplot like this

You’re definitely not alone. I don’t think her current plot is all that bad, and I enjoy her (platonic!) chemistry with Ralph, but the petty side of me begrudges her every second of screentime that could be going to Iris/Cisco/Joe/Cecile, etc.

To be fair to Todd it was Berlanti who came up with the idea for the double wedding and insisted they do it. It wasn’t a situation where if Todd had drawn the line with MG the double wedding wouldn’t of happened. If the big honcho boss wants it then its going to happen.

Considering Flash characters outside of Iris barely got time even in the Flash episode of the crossover - I mean, even Barry didn’t have a storyline - I think it was a little more than Todd simply acquiescing to Berlanti’s wish. That line about Felicity being forgotten by history seemed to be his attempt at fighting back lmao.

On Nora being named XS. Todd Helbing said we have to wait until Cisco names her in an article. However, I don’t remember what site I read that on. I think we don’t see that she’s saying that to Cisco because of the way they cut the trailer. I think she’s going to offer up proof of who she is before she urinates in a cup and Caitlin draws her blood to prove it 😂😂

Yeah, Todd said that in one of the interviews early in the day, but it may have just been a joke. We only see her saying it was her childhood nickname in voiceover, so anyone could’ve named her at this point - except Barry, lol.

Yeah, it’s hard to keep track but since JPK officially introduced herself as Nora West-Allen, I’m going to assume that’s her name. Plus it’s an easier way to differentiate her from Nora the mother.

I am positive she will eventually go back, and I think we will get a glimpse of future Barry and Iris once the timeline is restored. But I don’t think we will spend much time there.

Given how much they talked about the issue between Nora and Iris, I expect it to be resolved pretty quickly. They tend to talk more about the things they’ve already begun filming. Like last year, they kept bringing up how Iris would be upset with Barry for leaving, and that ended up being resolved in episode 2. So I expect it to be dealt with pretty early on.

Why do all the WA shippers love Linda but hate patty? I don’t understand. I ship WA and I liked them both. They both dated Barry so if it’s jealousy that Barry wasn’t with Iris why aren’t they both hated? It’s not like Barry got any more serious with party then with Linda. And the only one of them to have a love triangle with WA was Linda. It makes no sense why other WA shippers feel this way to me?????

There’s nothing wrong with liking Patty, it’s definitely up to your own discretion. For me, Linda had a fun personality and pointedly refused to put up with Barry’s BS. Plus in S2 she developed a friendship with Iris that showed both girls off very nicely. Meanwhile, Patty was written to prioritize Barry and engage in police brutality, which were two things I was not at all a fan of. Plus there was the fact that she was applauded for demanding the truth while Iris was derided for it, so I resented her position in the narrative because as a white woman she could get away with things Iris could not. Not to mention that Candice only got a couple of scenes per episode while Patty was around, which was never the case with Linda.

So it’s more like I (and many WA fans, I imagine) disliked what Patty represented rather than having strong feelings about the character herself.

Did you notice in the panel that when the other actors after Candice were introduced, Grant included, she didn’t camp for them. She just sat there while everyone else clapped for Grant, DP, Hartley, and tom. When DN was announced at the very end Candice clapped. But she refused to clap for anyone else. I guess I could see her not clapping for DP, but what’s up with her snubbing Grant, tom, and Hartley?

Honestly, I doubt it was meant as a snub for any of them. Candice tends to space out a lot, from what I can see, and her resting face is neutral to downcast. So a lot of time something that looks like a snub is really not.

Did anyone bring up the girls inc fundraiser on behalf of Candice at Comic Con? I remember most of the fandom saying journalists were prepping for it, but then nothing after that. Hope you understand my question.

We haven’t seen Leanne’s shipworthy episode yet, and she did say she was planning on asking Candice about it. So perhaps we will see a clip on that next week. But we know Candice is very aware of and proud of the campaign!

Do you think there will be a time jump in 5.02 or thereabouts to a few months later? Bc otherwise TF won't match up with the other shows for the crossover. It's never picked up right where the previous season left off before. And hey, the pilot had a 9-month time jump in it for Barry's coma. Maybe there will be something like that?

I do expect there to be a time jump eventually, precisely so that the shows can sync up for the crossover. It just probably won’t happen until after 5.01. Not nine months, but three or four, yes.

I was pleasantly surprised too! I’m guessing there were a few cancellations because rooms overlapped a lot on Saturday, so we scored a last-minute invite. All of the DCTV rooms were great, although Arrow and Legends ran pretty late. The casts were all engaging and fun, and both Grant and Candice are very nice. Grant makes everyone he speaks to feel like they’re super important and Candice always has thoughtful and honest responses.

Tati, In TF finale Cecile touches Caitlin and mentions Thomas. I believe Cicada’s name is Thomas something? Do you think he’s her Father/Brother? There’s lots of family talk re: S5. In rewatching the scenes that JPK was a part of and her reaction to Caitlin and Harry. That could actually be interesting given Caitlin’s history with the team. DP wants KF to be a big bad. This is a way it could potentially be done. I can’t see her being a big bad on her own.

Cicada’s name in the comics is David Hersch, but they could certainly change it if they wanted to. I do think that Caitlin’s dad will have had a hand in creating metahumans, but I’m not sure he will be Cicada - mostly cuz Chris Klein is only 39 years lol.

Did the mystery girl have purple AND yellow lightning, or did I see wrong? If I saw right, I take that as confirmation she is their daughter. Why else would she have both of their colors? And I think it's kind of cool if she gets two colors.

You are correct! She had both purple and yellow, so she’s definitely their baby girl.

I definitely think that her future is bleak af, with most of the team dead or gone. My guess is that Barry disappeared “for good” in 2024, things are really ugly whenever she’s from, and Iris is the main one left. Of course, Iris raised her not to time travel, so now she’s very much going against her mother’s wishes and therefore avoiding her.

But her worried that Devoe means she won’t exist is an interesting thought. The only reason I’m not convinced is because she’s not doing anything to help them, even from afar.

I haven’t had a chance to rewatch, but I liked it! Cisco and Cynthia broke my heart, but Carlos acted his ass off. Marlize leaving Clifford was wonderful. Barry was annoying but in a cute way, and Iris did her best to keep him in check and coach the team. I even liked the Harry/Cecile stuff, it was really only Caitlin’s story that was displeasing. AND MY BABY DAWN RUNNING AWAY SO HER MOM WON’T CATCH HER!!!!!

They... cut another Westallen scene. Why even release the promo photo of it if it was no longer in the episode? 🙃

Maybe that’s why 4.21 released zero stills of Iris, rofl. That way her even being in the episode is a happy surprise.

I love how TF revealed MG is a speedster and has yellow/purple lightning when she runs but there’re still people who believe she’s Joe and Cecile’s kid or anyone else except Iris’s. I wonder why that is.🤔

Given the obvious lack luster excitement Grant's been feeling towards some of the season and all of the accusations made about AJK, do you think they got along? Do you think there was tension on set between them for whatever reason and caused the season to lean so Ralph-heavy?

I don’t, simply because AJK wasn’t on set with the cast. It’s possible Grant was feeling a little burned out at first and asked for a lighter load, which they took way too far, but I have absolutely no proof for that. All I can say is that Grant is gonna want more story next season, lol, and I hope he gets it.
