“Are you - are you coming with me? With us?”

“Do you want me to come?”

“Well, yes, (Y/N), otherwise I wouldn’t be asking.”

“It’s just that I - that I think it’s something you should do with - with your siblings, Rome”.

He kept silent, raking his fingers through what was just an hour ago a clean, styled haircut; perfect for such a joyful occasion, too kept together for a grieving room. 

“Perhaps, it’s better if I - if I just stay here.” She tried again.

“No.”

She looks at him and cannot believe what she's seeing; still cannot process the words that have fallen from Kendall’s mouth after Roman sent him to find her. The world feels like it’s stopped rotating, as if everything had frozen down the moment she heard the news, yet she knows it’s only her mind being slow at putting them together because, rationally, the ship is still moving, the water is still crashing at the side while the rest of the guests are drinking champagne. It’s almost laughable.

“No? Rome, I - I have no place going with you. And - and someone, at least someone, should stay with Con, for Con.”

“Of course I love him, Roman. He was like a second … shitty dad to me and you know that. But, but this is not my place, it doesn’t … feel like it is. You and your siblings, you - you are his children.”

“Con? Con? I don’t care about Connor and his stupid wedding when my dad is fucking de…” His hands covered his face, a shaky breath escaped from his mouth, shooking his whole body on the exhale. “And you - you’re his goddaughter, you should be there. What now? You don’t - you don’t love him anymore? Is that it?”

“I’m not asking for my siblings. I’m - I’m asking for me. Because I - I need you there, with me. Because if this is real, if he truly is … then I don’t know …”

(Y/N) approaches him slowly, carefully. The last thing she wants is for him to get scared, to keep her out like he’s been doing with everyone else. One of her hands settles on his cheek, her eyes are glassy, she can barely see him through the tears but she knows he’s in the same state, probably worse because of trying to keep all the emotions inside. 

“You’re not gonna say ‘sorry for your loss’ or some shit like that?” He whispers. His fingers fidget with the delicate flower clip on her hair, rubbing softly to keep in place. “It’s, you know, pretty much the only thing I’ve heard in the last thirty minutes.”

“Yeah, I think you’ve heard it enough times for me to say it again. And no words will do any good, anyways.”

“Then, come with me. Please. I - I can’t do it, not without you, not alone.”

When there was something more stupid than jumping in a shark tank with a really bad bleeding wound, then it would be letting JJ come up with a plan, or being in love with two of your Best Friends who you knew nearly all your life. JJ and John B couldn’t be more different and still be the same, so falling for them kinda was crazy by itself. Well okay, at first you thought there was nothing really between you and John B because JJ owned your heart first in a more romantic way than the others. That most certainly changed when John B was nearly drowned by Topper at the last party, wasn’t it for JJ pointing a Gun at his head or when you watched him sneaking away with Sarah Cameron, the Kook princess.

John B was your Friend for nearly all your life, Eleven Years and counting, there was always something different about you and JB, like stolen touches or cuddles when you had a movie night at the chateau, well the cuddles died out when you guys became older and you starting to notice your feelings towards JJ, but the stolen touches were still there. But since the fight and watching John B almost drown, you notice a change within yourself towards your Best Friend. Since that Day you got more close to John B and questioned every move not only you made but also your friends. Now don’t get me wrong, JJ didn’t mind the attention you gave him, because he probably would most definitely notice when a girl has a crush on him unless he does have one on the girl too. But he knew John B liked you since probably fifth grade, when they played a round of truth or dare and told JJ his little secret even though that could’ve changed over the years. Well you told no one the problem you had with the both of them, not even Kie, your Best, and only girl, Friend.

It was a few days later and you all were sitting in the Front yard, if you can call it that way, of the chateau, when JJ tried to shotgun a beer and sadly the half on it got on you because you were sitting right next to him. You just jumped up, when the cold stinky beer made contact with your clothes and the skin of your legs, just screaming JJs name. Kie just ran into the House, getting a towel, coming back and trying to get most of the beer away from your skin and clothes. “You know, I think I actually hate you.”, you said, looking at JJ. “Yeah, I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear that.”; he just said, winking at you, before getting another can. “Shit, I think when we wash your pants and shirt in the sink, the smell and liquid is atleast a bit out.”, Kie said, looking at you. “Do you have any spare pants with you?”, you asked. “No, not right now.”, she said, shaking her head. “You can have some from me.”; John B said. “God, you are an angel JB.”, you said, giving him a thankful smile. He ran in to get some pants, well his only clean ones were some swimming ones, but they would need to make it. “What about your Shirt?”, Kie asked. “Well, I’m wearing my Bikini, so that's not a problem.”, you said, before you heard John B's steps coming from the House. “Here, there are only clean ones right now.”, he said, giving you the Swimming shorts. “Thank you, they’re gonna make it.”, you stated, beaming up at him, but before anyone could stare at the other for too long, JJ broke the Moment asking John B if he wants another beer. So you changed into the shorts of John B, before sitting with Kie on the Hammock.

You had no Idea how long you guys were there just talking, when JJ came up with a Plan, to go into the Kooks neighborhood to look for some fancy house, that is probably not lived in right now, because the owners are on vacation or some sort. And because you’re all a bit tipsy you all said yes, even though you and Kie weren’t really Fans with the Plan. So you all made your way to the Twinkie, when you walked beside John B who was most, next to JJ, excited about that Idea.

“You really think that this is a smart Idea?”you asked, looking at him. “Nope.”, he said looking at you. “Good, I’d be concerned if you did.”, you said laughing slightly. “But it is better than boredom.”, he said, throwing his arm around your shoulder.

With that you got into the twinkie, John B holding the door to the passenger side open for you.

After a bit of digging on facebook and driving around figure eight, you found a house where you found a spot for the twinkie, away enough so no one would notice it, but near enough if you needed to escape the cops. So you make your way to the Back of the House, climbing over the fence and quietly making your way to the pool. You all got rid of your clothes, that shouldn’t get wet and Jumped in, but since JJ couldn’t forget the most important part, the beer, he threw to each one of you another, before jumping in and opening his. You guys seriously had the time of your life there, it was in the middle of the night, everyone was asleep and you hopefully wouldn't get cops soon. But to your dismay, you saw the red and Blue light, before you could hear them, you tried to get their attention, but they didn’t listen until they heard Shoupe yell that you should come out. The boys were the first to get out, before helping you and Kie out.

"Shit. Shit. Shit!”, you said, fastly putting it on, before grabbing your shoes and running after them with KIe. “This is the worst plan ever, JJ!”, you said to him. “Why, because I made it?”, he asked looking back at you. “That, and because the cops are now out for our asses!”, you said, hitting him on the arm. JJ was the first to Jump over the fence and run towards the Twinkie getting it started, driving it out of its hiding spot so you just needed to Jump in. John B and Pope helped you and Kie over it, before Jumping over themselves. John B grabbed your hand dragging you with him, laughing. You saw Shoupe behind you already out of breath trying to catch you. “How do we keep getting into these Situations?”, you laughed looking at John B. “Eleven years of Friendship and I still don’t know.”, he said grinning. “The problem is called JJ.”, Pope said, which you all agreed. Once at the Twinkie you Jumped in and told JJ to drive, laughing your asses off in the Back high on adrenaline.

A half an hour later, you guys were back at the Chateau, the adrenaline finally back to zero and tired of the running you needed to do. You got in and all you did, was just falling on that couch and be nearly immediately asleep, and beside you were the first to go in, you didn’t even notice how John B came in to check on you just to find you on the couch already asleep, so he went back into his room, got a blanket and put it over you before he brushes some hair out of your face. “You love her don’t you?”, JJ asked beyond John B. Shocked, he turned around looking at his Best friend with wide eyes. “What?”, he just asked. “Well, you told me in fifth grade or so that you like her. I thought that might have changed, but by the way you look or just randomly stare at her, it’s just..”, JJ started. “Obvious, probably. But well, she is my Best Friend and don’t forget the rule, no Pogue-on-Pogue macking.”, he said, taking his eyes off JJ and back to you. “Yeah, well maybe you should just forget that rule.”, JJ said, before walking away. -

Two nights later, in the middle of the night, you were sitting outside in the hammock because you couldn’t sleep. The thought of Sarah and JOhn B running through your head because you saw them in those two days sneaking more often away than in the couple of years were you knew her.

“What are you doing up at four in the morning?”, you heard someone question from behind. You turned around to see Kie. “I might ask you the same thing.”, you said, giving her a little smile. “What’s going through your head?”she asked, climbing on the hammock next to you. The hardest part about all this, was that you didn’t tell anybody about this situation. You thought about it for a second, before deciding to let Kie in on the problem you have. “I might have a problem.”, you stated. “What is it?”she asked, looking at you. “I have a crush on two guys, the thing is they are both my Best Friends, and I first didn’t really realize that I have this crush on the other guy until I nearly lost him because of somebody. And I don’t know what to do. I liked the first guy first, but now that I realized that I also like the other I am just helpless. Like the one guy who has been my friend I have the longest, and I would be so sorry if I lose him not only as my potentially Boyfriend but also as my Best Friend whos been with me through thick and thin, but so did also the other guy.”, you could rip your hair out if it wouldn’t leave bald spots afterwards. “Well, that sounds like a fucked up situation.”, she stated. “I know and I’m just helpless.”, you stated throwing your head back. “Well, my Mom always told me something.”, Kie started. You just looked at her signaling her to keep going. “If you fall in love with two people, go with the second one. Because if you really loved the first one, you wouldn’t have fallen for the second one.”, she said, looking at you and taking your hand. You leaned against her butting your head on your shoulder. “And besides, what you and JJ have is not love, Not romantic love, it’s comfort.”, she said. You just nodded trying to let the words sink in. “But if you asked me, if you wanna hear it, I would tell John B.”, she said. “But what about Sarah, they sneaked away more in the past two days, than I saw them ever do in the last couple of years.”, you said. “Well, it’s all or nothing.”, she said. “I need just some time to think about it.”, you said, taking a deep breath. “Do it soon, before it’s too late.”, she just said.

Given the time now it’s been a week later, and you hadn’t had the nerve to tell John B about your feelings just yet. You either couldn’t find the right time or you just backed out like a chicken. But now you couldn’t back down, John B was alone at his boat, working on it, while Kie brought you to him. “Are you sure that this is right?”, you asked, nervous about this whole situation. “You’re doing the right thing.”, she said, squeezing your hand slightly. “Then why does it feel so wrong to me?” “Your probably just nervous, because he is your childhood best friend.”, she just said. “If something is wrong and you’re not in like half an hour back or wrote me a text, that everything is fine and you are good, I’m up here waiting in my car, alright?”

“Alright Mom.”, you said giggling slightly. With a rolling of her eyes she goes away, while you make your way down the path to him.

“Hey.”, you said, when you were sure he could hear you talk. “Oh, Hey, what’s up?”he asked, looking at you already knowing that something is up. “Nothing much, everything alright with the boat?”, you asked, while he helped you in holding your hand. “Yeah, I just checked up on her.”, he explained, handing you something to drink. “Alright.”, you just said, not knowing where to start. “So what do you wanna talk about?”, he asked. “What?”“Come on, I know you all your life, I can nearly read you like a book, I know when you have something going on.”, he said sitting down in front of you. “What are we to each other?”, it just slipped out of your mouth. “Well, you tell me, because for me you’re my Best Friend.”, he said, caught a bit off guard. 1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

I. Love. Her. So. Much.

She’s such an interesting and complex character. She’s so sweet but at the same time so rude. She’s struggling so much but everyone else on the team overlooks it. She seems so carefree but she wants to make friends and connections on the team so badly. She took the first step to getting better about 30 seconds before she died and no one will ever know. She deserves so much better. I love her.

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

There’s just so much I could say for this one. But the first one that came to mind is that Preston confirmed that she’s trans. Trans Farrah is everything to me.

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?

Oh this has actually been in my brain for SUCH a long time. Farrah, Kelly from The Mad Ones, and Connor from Dear Evan Hansen, as ghost besties, watching the events of DEH play out while eating popcorn.

There’s a lot so I’m just gonna list all the ones I can think of.

I’ve probably mentioned this hc a million times, but it’s my absolute favorite. Songwriter Farrah. Before alcohol, she coped by journaling, which eventually turned into songwriting. And she was really good.

I think she’d use the middle finger emoji a lot when talking to Annleigh or Clark.

I don’t have any specific aesthetics in mind, but she seems like she would wear something like this.

I used to hc her as aroace before I found out that PMA confirmed she was unlabeled, so I don’t really have any ships for her 😅 Not ones that are requited, anyway. I REALLY like the idea of unrequited Kate x Farrah, though.

REESE. She and Reese could have had such a beautiful friendship if she hadn’t, you know, died.

21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?

I used to write fanfic, but I stopped because I either wrote things that were really good or really bad with no in between. I might get back into it in the future, though. But when I did write, I liked getting into the complexities of her relationships with the other characters.

22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to ths character? Something you don't like?

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve read WATT fanfic that featured Farrah. But again, I like stuff that explores her relationships with the others because we don’t get much of that in canon.

There’s no character that actively reminds me of her, but I have a little WATT/Mean Girls AU in my head, and she’s Karen.

One of my first impressions was “ZOE JENSEN???” She was playing Eliza in Hamilton at the time, and she just so happened to be my favorite. And obviously I absolutely adored Farrah as a character. And I still absolutely adore her (see question 1).

Don't Look Back - My first soulmate AU! Everyone hears their soulmate when they sing. Dean has never heard a soul song.

Enhanced Extraction Techniques - The title is based on the term "enhanced interrogation techniques" aka torture. The Empty tortures Castiel by creating versions of Dean and staging fake rescues.

Out on the Edge - Cas only knows how to love Dean Winchester from afar.

What's Between Us - Musicians AU! Based on the brief flirtation between Taylor Swift and Adam Young (the Owl City guy). and yes, Dean is Taylor Swift in this scenario.

20 Questions for Fic Writers

Before I begin, there may be spoilers below!

1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 142! But a lot of them are one-shots.

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? It's 355,968, surprisingly. I'm pretty sure I've seen individual fics longer than this. But also, I think that's a pretty big number for me considering..

3. What fandoms do you write for? Only and only, exclusively Avatar, The Legend of Korra.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Chaos: Chaos was my first ever multi-chapter fic. It stars Lin Beifong, no surprise there, thrust with this eclectic group consisting of her "found family". Primarily focused on Linumi (Lin x Bumi), the fic actually serves as a post canon fix it.

Soul: Soul quite literally is written from the soul. It mostly focuses on the relationship between Lin and Tenzin (ofc, it's LinxTenzin) and explores their connection beyond the physical realm. It's not just about two people who fell in and out of love over the course of time, but about two souls that ache and burn for the other.

The Pledge: This was supposed to be a Lin x Tenzin one-shot of Tenzin falling victim to some kind of out of body, false-memory-confabulation situation where he just quite literally forgets that he wasn't married to Lin. I really wanted to leave this fic as is, but a lot of people asked for a part 2 and the people pleaser in me didn't wanna disappoint. I didn't love how the fic turned out, but oh well. I love the first chapter though.

Abscond: Another multi-chapter! This one is Lin x Mako. It's a series of events that led to Lin and Mako finding commonality and having this flirtatious banter that neither could control. It's a little dramatic, but fun nonetheless.

Laws of Physics: This one's different. It's my Lin x Bumi modern AU, they're both college professors in their late 30s, early 40s respectively. Like chaos, it features almost every character (not all in great detail ofc), and it's been so fun to re-imagine everyone in this modern setting.

5. Do you respond to comments? Yes, always! I may be a little behind sometimes, but I always make it a point to respond. I love, love, love, love comments!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? There might be a tie here: So Many Signs: It's a post-breakup Linzin fic where they see each other for the first time at a gala. A hundred percent based on Exxile by Taylor Swift. Chimera: I'm not sure it fully comes across, but Bumi has this recurring dream about drinking with Lin where they play games and kiss- turns out, this dream is what's flashing before his eyes as he's drowning in deep waters to his death. Yeah, whoa. Why did I write this?

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Okay, I think they're all happy!

Okay, but jokes aside, I think It's Time To Make Time kinda gives everyone a very happy ending. Oh, and Ghost of Weddings!

8. Do you get hate on fics? I have gotten hate maybe once or twice on AO3. It's not typical. But it's there- and it's funny. Everyone on Tumblr hates me though lmao.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I have attempted smut a few times! I'll be honest, it isn't great. I've read some fantastic smut so I just know I don't fall in the "smut writer" category. I mostly write a lil bangity-bang-bang for Lin. That's about it.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Do crossovers between my real life and Lin Beifong fanfiction count? If not, then no I haven't written crossovers. But if yes, then it's Exhaustion. Way to expose myself lmao.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? No, but I wouldn't be opposed to it.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but I would love to! There's some really wonderful authors out there and I would LOVE to write with them.

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? It's a three way tie between Linzin-Linumi-Linzolt. I can't pick. I do love other ships from other fandoms, but let's stick to what we know lol.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I'm going to be greeted with pitchforks for this one, but it may wind up being Waging Wars. I kinda forgot what my initial premise for the fic was (should've written it down, I know), so I'm gonna focus on stuff I have mapped out instead. I'm sorry. I will try my best coming back to it though, I promise.

16. What are your writing strengths? I think my ideas are pretty good. The way I can visualize or imagine up these situations often take me aback too.

2. Victor and Yuri by @stargazer-sims. I've only just met these two recently but I love them already. To me true couples support each other, and the devotion these two have for one another is shown in the writing.

My Beloved OC 🚢

Reece and Samir. I love these two because they communicate with each other. It drives me insane when couples go through problems created by not just sitting down and having a proper conversation. Yes they're on the spicy end of the spectrum, I wrote a mini TedTalk for @daedriyth about why, but beyond the spice they are pretty damn devoted to each other.

Song: Suburban Legends by Taylor Swift because I listened to it loads when writing them actually getting together so in my head, there's a connection.

2. Rahul and Cassandra. Rahul came along and showed Cassandra a life beyond the expectations of being part of the Goth family. They have moved to the country and together are working on raising their kids (and still want more kids). Rahul wants to give Cassandra the large loving family that neither of them felt they had growing up.

Song: Beautiful Day by Joshua Radin because the it sounds like them. It's about connecting back to nature, shrugging off the negative, and making a peaceful home where you are.

3. Keira and Marta. Keira was getting over a teenage romance when she met Marta. The two clicked, Marta is a romantic and Keira has the soulmate aspiration. Marta may have an abusive ex but Keira has proposed and is longing to make a love nest with the girl who helps her feel good about herself.

Song: Meant To Be by Bebe Rexha ft. Florid Georgia Line because they took their time when they started their relationship. Keira was still very new at dating and Marta was wary after it took her so long to realise her ex Liam was treating her like trash.

random ask where you get to rant or ramble about anything you really want to talk about

Okay I'm ready to talk!!

Ramble will be under the cut it is long. It's about my writing process for my Ronance Fic No Sweeter Drug (than just giving you my love) if you're at all interested in reading, spoilers beware.

So, before i started writing my first ronance fanfic I had not read any ronance fics at all, or at least not any where Ronance was the only ship (I had read a few where they were pretty prominent tho). This was interesting because this is the only time a ship has overtaking me that didn't start with me consuming an ungodly amount of fanfiction, instead it started with me listening to Midnights by Taylor Swift and thinking that Maroon really reminded me of them. And I'm not even a big Taylor Swift fan!! (which is probably hard to believe when I have an entire fanfic based on an album of hers).

But anyways, I started writing it, first with an outline (and because I love talking about writing processes that's what this ramble is going to be about, idc if no one wants to know, i want to share, so listen to me (or don't, idk)).

This is how it started, the first words I ever wrote of this idea.

and it keeps going, with a little blurb for each song. Rereading this, I can see that things have changed, my chapter for Vigilante Shit was originally "fun and light hearted" and ended up with Robin and Nancy seriously considering murder for about 500 words. The ending changed a bit, as I was originally trying to fit each song in there, before deciding that Mastermind really didn't make sense for this fic, and Sweet Nothings was a much better ending. (And let's be honest, Nancy Wheeler did not do any masterminding in NSD). Also Nancy was originally bisexual until I started writing the first chapter and realized my girl was so comphet.

After I do a brief roadmap/outline, i then take each chapter one by one, first writing a more detailed bullet point outline, and then writing the whole chapter. Here's my some of my bulletpoints for chapter 2 (the Maroon Chapter) for your perusal

As I kept going, I eventually stopped doing bullet points and started just writing out the scene blocks more like this (this is chapter 6, the Midnight Rain one)

And then I just write the chapter. Fun fact, while writing the end of Chapter Four (the Snow on the Beach one), I did almost make them kiss too early. In the actual fic we have this:

but when I first wrote it, she did say that out loud. This is what happened:

"I shouldn't have left you on that roof," Nancy says. And Robin is surprised because they've never talked about this before, not outside of that week. "I was scared."

"I know." Robin says. "I'm not really mad at you... not anymore. More sad about it."

"You still...like girls then?"

Robin nods. "Do you?"

"I'm not sure if I'm allowed to." Nancy says quietly.

"It's not about being allowed to or not. It just is. You can like whoever you want to like."

Nancy is quiet and think back to before. When she was in New York, she was still Nancy Wheeler, resident goody-two-shoes. So much of her life had changed after that day. So much had gone wrong. Her whole life was different. And maybe, maybe no one would really care, if Nancy dated a girl. Maybe it wouldn't be such a big deal. Maybe one day her and Robin could be far far away from here. Maybe Nancy could be happy... just maybe.

"I don't know how," Nancy says, instead of any of that. And she's talking about a lot of things here. Maybe she doesn't know how to do date a girl, maybe she doesn't know how to move on, maybe she just doesn't know how to be happy.

"That's okay," Robin says. "I don't know how to either. We could figure it out together."

Nancy doesn't say anything, just grabs Robin's hand. 

They both slink down to the floor, leaning against the house.

Robin asks if she can kiss Nancy and Nancy says yes and it's soft and sweet, not the same hurried red passion of New York, but something slower. 

"God this is weird, isn't it?" Nancy says.

"Yeah, but it's nice."

"So nice"

You can tell towards the end of me writing it, I realized that this was way to soon and I wasn't even trying with dialogue. I pretty much deleted that right after I wrote it (had to hunt through my track changes to find it). I got swept in the moment writing and the realized I had an outline to stick to! They couldn't kiss in chapter four!!!

Also ew such a shock reading my raw unedited writing. In an ideal world, my writing will go through two editing passes before posting. It all honestly, only the first five chapters got the privilege of two editing passes, the rest got one pass and a run through a spell checker. (Although one pass can be multiple, i just prefer two passes of editing with some time passing in between them)

I'm doing much better about editing the fic I'm working on right now, and I feel so much better about the quality of the chapters when I do that.

The title of No Sweeter Drug (than just giving you my love) was one of the last things I came up with. I didn't settle on it until after I'd compeltly finished the first draft. I was debating between two of them, NSD and (I love you so much) It Scares Me Half to Death and the only reason I didn't pick the latter was because a) I love Tessa Violet and b) I couldn't figure out which part to put in parentheses.

Anyways, I really enjoyed writing this fic and this fic was a different tone then anything else I've tried. The other fandom I write for has a standard for first person writing and I used present tense for my fics there, so this was the first fic I wrote in third person past tense, and I could feel myself growing as a writer while I wrote it.

The only thing is I wish it had more comments 😭😭😭 feels like such a selfish thing to wish for, especially when so many of the comments I've gotten have been so lovely and i've made a couple of wonderful friendships from this fic. But I started writing this fic back in Oct 2022 and didn't post it until Dec 2023, so that's over a year of writing for an average of four comments per chapters.

In reality, I was just spoiled by the first fandom I wrote for—they're literally the best at giving comments and I was tricked into thinking that was the norm. It's just a tad disappointing to be pouring all this time and effort into something and not getting out what you pour in, we all have to be leaders of change in the Ronance fandom and start leaving long and detailed comments on every chapter of each fic we read.

But overall, I really grateful for this fic even if no one had read it, it was fun to write and I'm really really proud of it.

I had a long year, so I didn't get to write as much as I would have liked to, but we still got a ton done.

1. How many words have you written this year? 180,453 words.

2. How many works did you publish this year? Somehow the answer is eleven.

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? Reckless Abandon. Hands down. It took so much time to plan and so much energy to write and I am so proud of it. I'm writing the ending of the first draft right now and I'm sad to leave it behind.

HOWEVER I also very much enjoyed The Last Time, which is my Nilcent fic. I think just in terms of quality, this is one of my most beautifully written fics.

4. What work of yours has the most hits? The fics I have with the most hits is Reckless Abandon, but I think that's because it's the only one from this year that had more than one chapter.

5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected? Dress Up As ! I wrote that in like 30 minutes while half asleep and then didn't edit it, so I didn't think anyone would read it at all lol. It's not my most popular fic by any means, but more people read it than I thought would.

6. Favorite title you used? Wilhelm's Frog Addiction because it's so ridiculous. It implies that Wilhelm needs a rehab for frogs, and I think that's great.

7. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most? I used the title of The Last Time from a Taylor Swift song, but I think that was the only one.

8. Pairing you wrote the most for this year? Wilhelm/Simon Eriksson with 9 out of 11 fics being about them or containing them in some way. (damn thats an unfortunate statistic)

9. Favorite pairing you wrote for this year? Obviously Wilmon. I feel like that's a given at this point.

10. What work was the quickest to write? Dress Up As... again, I wrote it in 30 minutes while half asleep💀

11. What work took you the longest to write? If we rule out the one that's multi-chapter for fairness sake, then the fic that took me the longest to write was probably Not Entirely Screwed (But Almost). But take that with a grain of salt.

12. How many WIPs do you have in your docs for next year? Two or three that I actually plan on finishing. I have others that are started, but I don't know if I have enough plot to actually get through them.

13. What’s your longest work of the year? Reckless Abandon, containing 123k of my 180k words this year 💀

14. What’s your shortest work of the year? A Fool Proof Guide - 507 words.

15. What WIP are you taking into next year with you? Finishing Reckless Abandon! One chapter to edit and an epilogue to finish writing, and then it's done. I just can't finish it in the two days I have left of the year 😭

17. Your favorite character to write this year? I simply cannot answer this. My mind has been so consumed with Reckless Abandon and the switching POVs that I literally cannot choose one.

18. What’s one pairing you want to explore next year? I think I might like to write more of Felice's platonic pairings next year. I feel like I neglect her because I don't really ship her with anyone.

19. Which work of yours have you reread the most? The Thing In The Mirror. It's kind of a love letter to my grief, so sometimes I go back and read it when I'm feeling down.

20. How many kudos in total did you get this year? 2,754

21. Which work has the most comments? Reckless Abandon, but again, it's the only one with more than one chapter so that makes sense.

22. Did you do any collaborative works this year? Not this year! Maybe next year. Dani and I don't write "together" per se, but we do bounce a lot of ideas off each other, so if that counts then yes, but nothing plotted and written and posted together.

23. Did you write any gifts this year? I did! I wrote for YR Week, which wasn't a gift, but an event. And I wrote a Christmas gift for Nic!

24. Did you receive any gifts this year? Yes yes yes! A beautiful, perfect Christmas gift from @pagegirlintraining I enjoyed every word of it.

25. What’s your most common category? M/M

26. What do you listen to while writing? Not much, actually. I have the Reckless Abandon Playlist, but I only really used that when outlining.

27. Favorite work you wrote this year? For the sake of not repeating myself, out off the ones I haven't mentioned yet, Isn't That Your Thing? and Patience Is A Virtue are my favorite little crack fics.

28. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year? Oh jesus, that's impossible. I don't think I can choose just one. I can give you one that makes me think "holy shit I can write" though:

This piece of work — the one staring Stella in the face — was a revolution made of oil paint. 

29. Biggest surprise while writing this year? I can write smut. And people don't hate it somehow.

25k+ . I'm a very lazy writer, and I just write short fics tbh, there's only one fic that has alot of words lmao

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Publicly published? Only Tennis RPF and Beta Squad (on Wattpad) but I've written alot of fics for many fandoms that I write just for me to read to satisfy my imaginations. I write alot of Twilight, football RPF, Avatar fandom (not the blue people), and Teen Wolf, there's really a lot. I've been writing since I was a child so like💀

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Say Yes To Heaven, Say Yes To Me (god I really need to change the name💀) but yeah, this fic's alright.

He Who Chases Two Rabbits, Catches None. AKA Chasing Rabbits fic. yes the name is long, yes it's not the most beautiful. But this quote is really just, similar to my fic. I actually got inspirations for my fic from this quote itself.

Everything is different. My first ever fic!!

If I'm on fire (you'll be made of ashes too). Lmao this is just me trolling the readers by writing plain angst🙈 but hey! Taylor Swift inspired song!!

Heaven's A Heartbreak Away. Ruru fic!! It's like the only fic that's not fedal lmao XD

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Ofc I do!! Even if the comment's just an emoji. I'll reply, I always do. I love commenting, and I love when my fics get commented on. It's really really sweet, and the long ones especially just makes me go 🥺 like aww, you thought so much about my fic!! how awesome is that?

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Angstiest ending? I wouldn't call it angst for this one but it's definitely not a happy ending. Can I call it ending? Cause the story is kinda like description-ish and there's not alot of plot but it's Say Yes To Heaven, Say Yes To Me. Unrequited love and all that stuff. But there's one fic where it's supreme angst, no happiness in it. Which is why I don't think it's considered an ending cause hey. The whole plot is angst so like- yeaa

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

It's either Heaven's A Heartbreak Away or And time can't stop me (quite like you did) but I'm going with Heaven's A Heartbreak Away. It's just Casper and Holger facing their own personal struggles, in the end they found each other and BAM fall in love. happy. And this fic actually has the ending I'm most proud of, I think I slayed on the ending but that's just my opinion.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

No? Not necessarily hate, just opinions. I never take it to heart. I am my biggest hater anyways, so I'm always ready for any comments. (All my fics suck and I suck and no one can convince me otherwise)

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nope. Maybe never, or maybe not yet. I won't write a one shot smut, but maybe I'll include smut in the long fic, aka Rabbits fic, cause that fic is long and angsty and there might be some scenarios where smut should be involved. But idk how to write smut, I read them, I don't write them. Feels awkward.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I do! But not the ones I publish, and it's never that crazy anyways. I had a fic between Shadowhunters fandom (Malec obv) and Harry Potter, with the Harry Potter AU, but every fandom has a Harry Potter AU so it's not crazy.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of, no. My writing isn't actually Shakespearean level for it to be stolen. It's just....fanfiction💀

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No.

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

Fedal!!!! Obviously, obviously. Their whole relationship irl is a masterpiece in itself, they're a piece of art just waiting to be looked upon and researched and just. They're the best. They're a walking fanfiction, they have the most beautiful concept and I love that they're actually real. FEDAL 🔛🔝. With a side of Cherik, Satosugu, Malec (also one of my oldest, iconicest, bestest, favourite ship ever. They're so sweet)

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I'm scared to say that this WIP might just be my Rabbits fic. I have this thing with consistency, and I can't keep my head straight and focused. But for now, that's not one of my WIPs (yet).

I have this Malec WIP, it's Harry Potter AU, and I really love it. I've written the plots and the process and wrote the ending, but I can't seem to bring myself to write the actual fic. It's a mystery-ish, action packed, romance with a side of dystopian too. And that fic is my baby, but I doubt I would continue it, despite being my favourite.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Idk, probably descriptive? Like, descriptions. I've received some comments in the past (during my Wattpad days) that I can make my readers clearly imagine what I'm writing and what they're reading and that my writing can be quite detailed. That was back in my days when I was just a child, I don't know about now cause I have a diff writing style now I think. I don't know, I don't really have anything extra on my writing, it's just plain fanfiction.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Consistency. I'm actually having difficulties rn with continuing the third chapter of my He Who Chases Two Rabbits, Catches None because I think my writing style has changed COMPLETELY. and I'm trying my best to get it back from the first two chapters, but I don't know how I wrote in that style. My writing style keeps changing, sometimes there's too much dialouge, sometimes there's no need for them. And sometimes it's just alot of descripting, and at times it's just alot of random things put in. Idk😭 and along with lack of consistency, there's also a side of procrastination. Fantastic. What a way to ruin a writer's writing.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

What does this mean? I don't get it. But hey, yeah, it's cool. I think. I've read a few fics that has diff languages in their dialogue and they're top notch. Probably too complicated for me, cause for me if it's another language I just write in diff font but everyone has their own style. I'm fine with it.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

if it's published then it's Tennis RPF. But if it's not then I think..my first is definitely Twilight.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

All my fics are shit, I don't like any of them and if there isn't alot of reads and comments already I would delete them all. BUT despite the fact that I absolutely hate all my fics (I'm a person filled with hatred, I hate all of my art pieces too) I do have some fics that I hate on less.

It's definitely either one of the fics on my Of Paradise and Vicissitudes series. The first part, Say Yes To Heaven. I think it's a good start for the series, It's alright. And the second part, which is the Chasing Rabbits fic. It's, I put alot of thought and effort into the fic. Its a fic I really invest alot of my time on. The fic is a bit precious to me. I really want to see the fic end the way I pictured it, but it's a bit hard for me to continue and keep going. Hopefully this is just for a short time. Once I'm done with exams, I'm planning to get back on track and start writing the third chapter.

This zen conversation with Steven and Conrad is legit like the first real conversation I've witnessed on this show.

Over the last two years I’ve dedicated to this, I have come to the conclusion over and over again that Taylor Swift basically WROTE the song “The Archer” about Harry James Potter.

I have been trying, probably for the better part of a year, to write a songfic to it that I think adequately captures everything I feel connects Harry and the song. So far I’ve had one published attempt, and while it wasn’t my worst work, I want to do better. So I’ll keep trying.

I don’t even need to say anything else other than: look at these lyrics. And yes, I copied the whole entire song because it all applies. I could write a THESIS about why this song relates to Harry.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes, I try to respond to every comment even if it takes me a little while to get back to people. I appreciate all the support I get with my writing and even if I just say a quick thank you, it's important to me that I acknowledge if someone has taken the time to write a comment on one of my stories.

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Something - Although I do have an angsty epilogue/alternate ending or La Dame Blanche that I haven't decided if I'm going to post or not yet.

No, I haven't experienced any hate on fics. I only started posting this year but so far the only response I've had has been supportive and positive thankfully.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I haven't yet but I am interested in writing some if a story goes that way in the future. (Not going to lie, writing smut for the first time makes me feel nervous!)

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

No. I wouldn't be against it if I ever came up with an idea that interested me though.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I only started posting this year so haven't had an experience of this up to now, or at least not that I've been made aware of.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Not that I'm aware of.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

Daryl Dixon and Beth Greene. I always end up coming back to them even though there are plenty of other ships in other fandoms that I love too. I just can't let them go.

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I have ideas written out that are usually for scenes rather than complete stories but anything that I make a start on I would lie to finish. I haven't been back to Wildflowers since I wrote the first couple of paragraphs out months ago but only because I have been so consumed with planning out and writing Keep Me. I also have an idea based on Timeless by Taylor Swift which I would love to get written but have no idea when that might be right now.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I'm obsessive about proof reading - I read things through four or five times before I post it to make sure I feel like the flow is right and that I haven't made any spelling mistakes.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

If a particular passage isn't flowing right or I can't get it down on paper I have a tendancy to et a bit stalled instead of trying to move past that section and go back to it.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I wrote the odd word or phrase in La Dame Blanche and I know very very basic French but I do get nervous about getting the phrasing and grammer wrong so I would tend to stay away from it in general.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

To date, I would have to say Keep Me. It's the first multi-chpter fic I've attempted and I'm really enjoying planning it out and seeing what direction the characters take me in while I'm writing. It's growing bigger than I originally expected it to but I'm really excited about it.

How many works do you have on ao3?

6, but all of them have been orphaned. I have some works up on Tumblr and Wattpad on abandoned accounts as well.

What’s your total word count?

4,744. Everything I've posted on AO3 has been a tiny little one shot. My fics on Tumblr and Wattpad are substantially longer, and I'm too lazy to add all of that up.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

I only have 6 fics on AO3, so the top 5 thing doesn't seem that relevant lol. Weirdly, my most popular fics have been on Tumblr and Wattpad lol.

Do you respond to comments? Why/why not?

Yes!!!!! I always respond to comments. As a reader, I always feel happy when I receive a response to my comments so I like to return the favor.

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

I wrote a fic called All Too Well which was in part loosely inspired by the Taylor Swift song. Obviously no fic inspired by All Too Well is going to end happily 💀. The fic features the main character reminiscing about a failed relationship. There's a moment of hope for reconciliation which I squashed at the end of the fic 💔. (Continuing vague terms, but this fic was written about band members.)

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

I wrote a fic called The One I Love. This one started with angst, but it ended with lots of reassurance + a proposal!!!! (This fic was written about TV show characters.) Fun fact! This fic was originally written and formatted as a play for a creative writing class. I reworked it to post as a fic.

Do you write crossovers?

Nope! I'm not a fan of reading crossovers, so I can't imagine myself ever trying to write one.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

To my memory, I have not!

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Not at all, and I don't anticipate I ever will.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope. That would be cool though!

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No. I don't think I have a personality or writing style that works well for collaborative writing. I don't think it'll ever happen.

What's your all-time favourite ship?

Impossible question!!!!!! Also in terms of my own fics, I don't care too much about anyone I've written about anymore. Yeah it's too hard to choose! Tbh I'm an opportunist shipper. I'm flexible if the story is good enough 🤷‍♀️

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

I don't currently have any WIPs.

What are your writing strengths?

I think I'm good at contextualizing the scene. Since most of my fics have been very short, it's beneficial to be able to set the stage briefly but without rushing through.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I think I struggle with the balance of diaglogue and other text. I'm never quite sure how much my characters should be talking.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I don't think I'd feel super comfortable doing it, because I'm only fluent in English. I wouldn't want to risk getting something wrong. That being said, lately I've read several miscommunication stories involving fake languages, and I've loved them so much I might consider doing that. Only in the context of that fandom though.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

I have literally never mentioned it by name online. It was a Disney Channel show, and that is as much as I'm willing to say. It was published on Wattpad and even had a sequel. Both have been unpublished, but the first fic had over 20k views 💀

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

I've never written a fic for Supernatural, and I think at some point I'd like to write a character study type fic about Dean Winchester. I've also been considering writing DS9 fanfiction, because Bashir/Garak are consuming my mind.

What's your favorite fic you've written?

I reread all of them in preparation for this, and my favorite is probably [Redacted] Makes A Love Confession. There's a few lines I'm really proud of, and I think the dialogue is balanced + adds to the emotional depth. Most of my AO3 fics feel more rooted in my perception of the people/characters than in canon, but I think this one captures the canon voices decently. (This fic was written about TV show characters.)

As I said, my fics are orphaned and none of them are for fandoms I actively participate in.
