hello darling! I was wondering if I could request poly! marauders where they come home late or something and she’s asleep, but they discover her cuddling a stuffed animal for the first time and she gets all shy and embarassed but they think it’s adorable!!!
I have this stuffed animal I’ve had since I was little and as a 24 year I still cuddle him.
totally didn't write this based off of the little stuffed toy I still have on my bed.......
Scout's Honour
poly!marauders x fem!reader who still sleeps with a stuffed animal
CW: boys are maybe tipsy when they get home, reader feels shy and insecure for a second, Sirius makes that horrible Sirius/serious joke, James x Sirius get frisky at the end but nothing described
Tumblr media
Up until this point, Remus felt as though he had done a pretty good job keeping the boys quiet in their trek to the bedroom.
All that effort was for naught, it seemed, as Remus grimaced whilst he watched Sirius basically belly-flop face first onto the mattress, causing you to be jostled - quite violently - awake.
“What the-?” You gasped; eyes darting around nervously before they landed on your three boyfriends.
But no sooner had your face relaxed did you look alarmed again before quickly readjusting the blankets around you.
“You okay, dovey?” Remus asked then. “Sorry for waking you.” He added, pointedly glaring at his long-haired boyfriend who looked quite pleased at his plans of having all of his partners awake at once come to fruition.
“S’okay.” You responded; vowels and consonants running together as your mouth tried to keep up with the speed at which your brain was functioning.
“Outside clothes, Jamie.” Remus quickly chided then as James tried to sneak under the covers to join you.
This seemed to perk you up for some reason, and unfortunately for you, not one of the boys missed the way your hand darted nervously under the blankets.
“My, my, what were you up to?” Sirius taunted salaciously, eyes immediately moving towards his ‘favourite’ bedside drawer.
“She was asleep, Pads.” James slurred as he nearly fell in his attempt to free himself from his jeans.
“Yes, until someone so rudely woke her.” Remus added.
Sirius did appear to go bashful then, turning to look at you apologetically. “Sorry, doll.”
“But if you’re not- fuck, if you’re not hiding something fun.” James interrupted himself as he tripped over nothing before he finally weaselled his way under the covers. “What are you hiding?”
“M’not hiding anything.” You argued petulantly, looking at Remus as you answered James’ question as if he would somehow protect you from further questioning.
And though Remus could protect you from further questioning, he had to admit he found himself just as curious.
“It’s a surprise for me, isn’t it?” Sirius queried haughtily then as he changed into his pyjamas.
“It’s not for you.” You groaned; sleep-addled brain not capturing that you sort of gave away that you were, indeed, hiding something.
“What d’you have there, dovey?” Remus asked finally, moving to stand above you on your side of the bed and tipping your head back so he could press a kiss to your lips.
You brought your hands up to hold Remus’ wrists as you reciprocated the kiss, but made a reluctant sound in the back of your throat when he wouldn’t let you turn and look away from him.
“Oh my goodness!” James shrilled then, causing both you and Remus to turn your attention to your slightly tipsy boyfriend who was now holding a tiny plush dog in his hands. “She’s so cute!”
“James!” You shrieked; tearing yourself from Remus’ hold as you made for James.
For as uncoordinated as James had been mere moments ago, the sight of you lunging at him seemed to reawaken some dormant muscle memory from his time on the school rugby team as he hastily tossed the toy to Sirius.
Sirius - not prepared in the slightest for a game of catch at such an hour of the morning - let it hit him in the side of the head before it fell unceremoniously to the ground. He quickly collected it though and moved behind Remus in hopes of protection from you as he inspected the worn and well-loved looking toy.
“Is this a stuffie?” Sirius asked then, turning the plush dog to examine it. “Babe, that’s so cute!”
“Give it here.” You demanded; eyes wild, now fully awake as you stared at Sirius imploringly.
“But-”
“Sirius, please.”
“Dovey.” Remus began cautiously, bending at the waist in an attempt to make eye contact with you. “Hey, dove.” He continued when you didn’t respond.
You reluctantly pulled your gaze away from Sirius in order to appease Remus.
“We’re not making fun of you.”
“Yes you are.” You whispered miserably, causing any teasing from James and Sirius to drop immediately.
“Nonono.” James chanted as he army crawled his way across the bed to you. “M’so sorry, angel. I was making fun, but I wasn’t trying to make fun of.”
“I wasn’t lying, doll; I really do think this is so cute.” Sirius added.
You didn’t seem to agree, however, when your bottom lip jutted out and your shoulders slumped.
“Baby.” James moaned sympathetically. “I’m sorry.”
You reluctantly leaned into James’ side as he all but draped himself over you.
“Dove, why have we never seen this before?” Remus asked as he took the pilfered toy from Sirius’ hands and inspected it himself.
“‘Cause it’s embarrassing.” You moaned.
“It’s cute.” Sirius argued.
“It’s childish.” You countered.
“It’s human, sweetheart.” Remus declared before handing the plush dog back to you. “I still have my teddy from when I was a kid.”
“Yeah, packed up in a box somewhere.” You deadpanned.
“That’s only because he roomed in a dorm with three boys back in school who would’ve razzed him mercilessly for it.” Sirius offered.
“Yeah, and now I’m sleeping with them.” You responded as you looked down at the plush in your hands.
“Who have grown and matured, surely; you wouldn’t be sleeping with them otherwise.” Sirius said as he sat at the end of your bed and nudged your knee with his.
“What’s her name?” Remus asked then as he nodded to the aged stuffed animal.
You glared half-heartedly at him in response.
“I’m serious, dove-” Remus started before catching himself none-too-quickly.
“No, I’m Sirius.” Sirius cut in; smiling proudly as his three partners glared at him.
Remus sucked in an exasperated yet loving breath as he turned his attention back to you. “This little thing was - is - obviously important to you; so what’s her name?”
You sighed in defeat as you turned it over in your hand. “It’s a him.” You corrected petulantly.
“Terrible sorry, good sir.” James offered graveley; nodding his head so deep that he nearly lost his glasses.
You breathed out a chuckle as you looked up shyly. “His name’s Scout.” You offered in a whisper; your answer being rewarded by cooing from your boyfriend’s.
“That’s so cute.” James repeated.
“I can’t believe you’ve loved another man before me.” Sirius teased with an unimpressed shake of his head. “And he’s been in my home this whole time?”
You turned bashful again and looked at Sirius timidly. “Erm, I’ve sort of been hiding him between the mattress and boxspring.”
Remus threw his head back in laughter as he finally had an answer as to why your side of the bed was so lumpy.
“Another man!? In my bed!?” Sirius teased as he clutched at non-existing pearls. “And you didn’t even introduce us!?”
“For shame, angel.” James added with a disappointed shake of his head. “I know the bed is small, but there was certainly room for one more.” He continued as he booped ‘Scout’s’ nose with the tip of his finger.
“That’s right.” Remus agreed readily as he stood to change into his own pyjamas. “No more hiding that cutie from us sweet girl.”
“Yeah, I already like him more than Sirius.” James joked, earning him a scolding ‘hey!’ from both you and Remus and an indignant scoff from Sirius before Sirius bodily tackled him on the bed.
“That’s not what you were saying last night there, handsome!” Sirius laughed as he jabbed his fingers into James’ ribs where he was most ticklish. “Take it back!”
“No!”
“Tell me you love me!”
“I love Scout more!”
“You little-” Sirius started, but he never got to finish when he pulled his boyfriend into a searing kiss.
What had started out as laughter and playful wrestling was quickly becoming heated and then bordering pornographic when you turned to look at Remus who was simply watching in exasperation.
“Should you, me, and Scout have a cwtch on the couch, dove?”
You chuckled as you gathered a throw blanket and Scout from the bed, and trotted out the door with Remus as you left your boyfriends to tire each other out.
Remus really couldn't imagine the four of you making room for another again, but he was more than happy to share you with Scout and he knew the same could be said for Sirius and James.

Am I the only one who thinks most of the Marauders and the Slytherin Skittles would have the biggest praise kink in history ?
warnings: smut
James would have one because of his constant need to be perfect, to be what he thinks the others need him to be: the perfect son, the perfect friend, the perfect student. But he always has doubts ‘am I enough ?’, ‘am I doing enough ?', ‘will they like me ? ’, ‘what if they don’t ? what if they hate me ?’ He needs to be reassured that he is. He is enough, he is more than enough.
I feel like it would be more prominent while he is intimate with you. He is mostly afraid of not living up to the expectation he thinks you have of him. So you make sure he knows that he makes you literally touch the sky.
‘That was the best match i’ve ever watched ! Merlin, you were brilliant on that broom James’ after Gryffindor wins the last match of the year.
‘What do you mean ‘stupid’ ? They’re your glasses baby, they help you see. And you look really hot wearing them in my opinion’ after he overhears someone talking about another person and saying they look stupid with that specific pair of glasses.
‘Like that, baby. You’re doing so good’ while he is covering your neck with kisses and gentle bites.
‘Yes, yes, fuck, right there Jamie’ after a particularly deep and strong thrust leaves you breathless.
‘You look so good between my legs, love’ while he is eating you out messily and hungrily and so, so perfectly.
‘No one feels as good as you. No one could ever make me feel the way you do, James’ while he is still inside of you, catching his breath and looking at you with devotion.
‘Are you sure it was ok ?’
‘James, it was more than ok. My legs are shaking baby, that's a sign that it was pretty damn amazing’
‘Are you serious ?’
‘Apart from the very lame joke I am sure you’re thinking about, yes, I am. Actually, why don’t I show you how serious I really am ?’
‘What do you mean, baby?’
‘I mean that you’re gonna fuck me again and i’ll show you how much I always crave your lips, then a third time and i’ll make sure the entire castle hears how you can make me cry with just your tongue, then a fourth because that perfect dick of yours needs to be fucking worshipped, and, finally, a fifth to show you that you fuck me so good that not a single coherent thought processes in my head when you're taking me apart on your cock, Jamie’
Remus would have one because he has hated himself his whole life. He feels like a monster, like he doesn’t deserve all the love he is surrounded by, like all the good things people say about him are just lies. And he knows the truth, he knows he is nothing but an horrid creature and that he doesn’t deserve to be loved. Except that it isn’t the truth, and you tell him everyday.
With him I feel like it would be more out of the bedroom, and outside of sex, but not exclusively.
‘You’re really good at that spell Remus, mind showing me how it’s done ?’ after he gets a rather difficult charm right at the first try.
‘You look very hot today, Rem. Well, you look hot everyday actually’ which makes him blush from head to toes.
‘You’re the best, you know ? You really are’ after he explains a difficult concept that nobody else got, but him.
‘Holy hell, right there Remus. You feel way too good’ while he eases in and out of you with a steady rhythm, knocking the air out of your lungs.
‘You take such good care of me’ while he is going down on you, slowly, sensually and with a glint of hunger in his eyes, knowing exactly what to do to make you fall apart.
‘I love you, you know that right ?’
‘Yes, darling. You tell me everyday’
‘Well, that’s not enough. From now on, I'll tell you twice a day’
‘But why ?’
‘Because it’s true' and then you give him the sweetest kiss.
Sirius would have one because he has been told his whole life that he wasn’t enough. That he needed to be better, to do better, to be a better heir for the Noble House of Black, to be a better son, to be a better brother. He was told that he was worthless, that his parents had no use in having a son like him. He was a disappointment, a shame to the family. For them he didn’t exist anymore.
But for you he was the most perfect person to ever walk on earth. Your brightest star.
He would love it both inside and outside the bedroom. I feel like he would also ask you to tell him something that makes him feel good, especially when he is having a bad day. He has no problem being praised in public, but he becomes especially vulnerable when you’re intimate because he can finally let go.
‘Tell me what did I do to have the best boyfriend ever ?’ After he brings you flowers one day because he told you they reminded them of you.
‘It’s ok Sirius, you’ll get it eventually. You’re one of the best students, you just need a bit more time which is totally fine’ after the tenth time he tries to get one of the most difficult spells right, only for it to go wrong.
‘You’re worth it Sirius. You’re worth every single good thing that happens to you, never doubt that’ after he breaks down reading one of his mothers older letters, full of foul words directed at him.
‘You’re such a good boy, aren’t you ?’ after he listens to you so well, kissing every inch of your body.
‘Fuck, you should see yourself baby. You look so good, so perfect for me’ while you’re on his lap, riding him slowly to savor that sultry fucked out expression on his face that makes you go feral.
‘You’re so sweet, Sirius, do you know that ? So fucking sweet’ after you bob your head on his length, swirling your tongue around his head to suck gently as his taste coats your mouth.
‘Was I good ?’
‘You’re always good, Sirius. More than’
‘Are you sure ?’
‘Do you want me to describe in detail how good you are at splitting me open in every position known to man ? Because I can do that if you want. Might take three whole days though, a week if you want me to talk about that sinful tongue of yours, too’
‘I think we have enough time’ and then you both start laughing.
Regulus would have one because he’s been second his whole life. Second for his brother, second for his parents before Sirius left , sometimes he feels second even for his friends. He thinks no one cares deeply about him, he’s just there as a rebound. He’s never been anyone’s first choice, and he thinks he never will be.
You make sure he knows that not only he would be your first choice in every lifetime, but that he would also be the only choice for you, no one else would or could ever compare. He is the center of your universe after all.
I feel like he would blush like crazy and pretend he is annoyed by your words when you’re in public and you praise him even for the simplest thing, but his eyes would also warm up a little, just for a second, before going back to his blank and rather stoic expression. He would be a mess in the bedroom though, when he can finally let go and he allows himself to feel good about the sweet words that leave your lips.
‘You have the prettiest eyes I have ever seen’ after he catches you staring at him for a moment too long.
‘Your poems are literally art, Regulus. I can’t believe you can write like this, you know this is pure talent, right ?’ after he shows you his poems for the first time and you nearly cry because more than half of them are dedicated to you.
‘You were so good up there, Reggie. And the way you caught the Snitch ? Fucking incredible. You are incredible’ after Slytherin wins one of the biggest matches of the season thanks to Regulus catching the Snitch one minute from the end.
‘You feel so good, love. Stretching me out so well’ after his cock slides inside of you perfectly, filling you up so nicely.
‘Eyes on me, Regulus. They’re so gorgeous, I want them focused me while I make you cum, ok ? Be good and keep them open’ as you stroke his length up and down, feeling the velvety soft skin on your palm as you give his head a gentle suck, tasting him on your tongue.
‘You’re so pretty when you’re all fucked out, Reggie. You feel so good taking me like this’ while you’re riding him and he looks at you with hazy eyes, lust and pure bliss fogging his brain’
‘I’m yours Regulus. I’m undoubtedly, irrevocably and utterly yours’
‘Promise me’
‘I promise, I’m not going anywhere. I’m afraid you’re stuck with me forever, actually’
‘Mmh, it’s gonna be hard, but I’ll survive I guess’ while you’re still joined, one body and one soul as you kiss him slowly and sweetly, his tone sarcastic but betrayed by the smile that's progressively growing on his lips.
Barty would have one because his father never gave him his attention. He was never enough for him, never a good son, never a good student, never good. He was constantly ignored, and the few times his father acknowledged him was to tell him that he was a lost cause, a disgrace, a shame. He was just a stupid boy, too reckless, too careless, too unhinged, too much, and, at the same time, never enough. But it wasn’t like that. He was a bit impulsive, and sometimes he went a little bonkers, but he was a good person, and there were people who cared about him and his well being. You always made sure he knew that. He was your priority.
I have a feeling that he would be completely unashamed of being praised in public exactly like he is praised in the bedroom. Probably not in front of the whole school, but he wouldn't really care if people eavesdropped, his crooked grin widening when he notices their horrified faces. It is  their fault, they could mind their own damn business.
‘Yes, Barty, you’ve been a good boy’ after he asks you if he has been good after getting an O in Potions.
‘Baby, we’re in public, I can’t just scream about how good you fuck me. There are people eating, for Merlin’s sake’ after he sees a guy talking to you before sitting at the table in the Great Hall. He asks you if you could tell him that he is the only one who could make you come with just his skilled fingers.
‘Don’t think like that ever again, Barty. You are not a lost cause, you aren't. You deserve good things, you deserve the best things, sweetie. You deserve to be loved, and I do. I love you so much Barty, don’t ever think you are not important to me because you are. You mean the world to me’ after he receives a letter from his father asking how a cretin like him was able to find someone who could love him. If he hadn’t begged you to stop after calming down a little you would’ve been in Azkaban with a murder charge by now.
‘Fuck, I love when you do that. Feels amazing, baby’ after he trails a path of kisses down your chest only to focus on the tender flesh of your nipple as he sucks gently, and grazes it with his teeth, teasing you.
‘Harder, baby. I know you like it like this’ while his thrusts become more erratic, stronger and deeper and you can hardly think.
‘You’re cock is perfect, Barty. Fills my mouth so nicely’ while you’re sucking him off, his tip hits your throat and you swallow as the loudest moan leaves his mouth.
‘I told Mulciber that no one can make you scream as loud as I do’
‘You did what ?! Barty !’
‘What ? Is it not true ?’
‘I- of course it’s true, but why did you have to tell him ?’
‘He was being rather cocky about the fact that he could make you scream like, and I quote ‘a bitch’. Then he started using other very disrespectful words to describe you baby, and at that point I had to punch him right in the face, because no one has to even dare to talk about you like that. He is actually lucky my Sectumsempra is not perfect yet, or he would’ve ended way worse. And then I added that little detail. I probably shouldn’t have done it, but I was furious. Do you want me to obliviate him ? I can do that if you want’
‘It’s fine, he needs some salt rubbed on his wounds’
‘Are you sure ?’
‘Yes, baby. And it’s nothing new, I'm sure the entire dorm hears me when you’re fucking me, I can't help it. Now come on my knight in bloody knuckles, let’s go to Madame Pomfrey to get those bruises checked’ you kiss him lightly before heading to the infirmary.
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk 🤭
And thank you for reading 💖

How about ploy marauders going to a party and Sirius promised to do readers make up, but is late so the other two are making an attempt. Sure they might know how to do Sirius's messy style, but do they know big dramatic styles? Can James do a perfect wing?
<3 fem, 1k
“Can you stay still?” Remus asks, turning your face a half inch where it’s held in his hand.
“Can James stop kissing me?” you ask.
James pulls his face from the curve of your neck, the warmth of his lips lingering on your skin. “Sorry, are you busy?”
“You’re supposed to be helping.”
“Don’t act like you weren’t enjoying yourself.”
You smile. Remus rubs the softest curve under your eye with his thumb, the tip of his tongue sticking out between his lips. He doesn’t know he’s doing it, concentrating instead on your face and the wetness of your makeup where it’s beginning to sink in. “I don’t know what I’m doing,” he sighs.
“You know better than I do,” James says.
You don’t know a thing about it, that’s why you’d arranged for Sirius to do your makeup tonight before Marl’s birthday bash, but where is your awful boyfriend? Late, decidedly unavailable for makeup-ing.
“You’ve done his mascara a thousand times,” James argues with Remus.
“Yes, but Sirius has never asked me to do his blush.” Remus’ hand moves to the side of your face. “You are lovely, though. I think using only a little of everything is working in our favour.”
“Sirius only lets him do mascara because he already has nice eyelashes,” you worry. It won’t matter if Remus messes up or doesn’t get close enough to the root.
“Yes, and because he likes it when Remus holds his face like that,” James points out, eyeing Remus’ hand where it stays at your cheek. Remus has long fingers, ever-so slightly thick with two golden rings that kiss your chin as he lets his hand fall, and he’s always gentle.
“James, I’m tapping out.”
James pretends to roll up sleeves he isn’t wearing, your bulkiest boyfriend in a short-sleeved t-shirt that showcases the lean muscle of his forearms, the not so lean ridges of his biceps. They tense as he sits up, his knee jabbing yours, the bed creaking dangerously beneath your angled weight. “What’s there left to do? She’s gorgeous.”
“What did you want?” Remus asks you.
“Uh, I wanted, you know…” You sound ridiculously shy. You wish you could just do all of this faff by yourself rather than force their attention, but neither boy seems annoyed. “He does that smudgey eyeliner, it makes my eyes look bigger. And lipgloss, but I can do that myself.”
“Are you kidding? That’s the best part,” James says. He gives you a smile confident enough to reassure you and handsome enough to make you shy from his touch all over again. “Pass me the black pencil, Remus. I’ve got this.”
James does not got this, his expression melding from happy, adoring, to perturbed, and then annoyed. “Aw, I’ve fucked it.”
Remus shakes his head vehemently. “You haven’t! We just need a wet wipe.”
They search the room for Sirius’ wet wipes and come up empty-handed. A towel is wetted and taken carefully to your eyes instead, cold and rough on your eyelids.
“Be gentler,” Remus whispers.
James is practically atop you know, your chin tilted up to his hand. “Sorry,” he whispers in turn, then to you solely, “‘m I hurting you?”
“No.” You’re whispering too. It feels appropriate; they’re both very close to you, and this movement might fix or ruin your makeup with the party’s start time drawing ever closer.
“I think I’ve fixed it,” James says, taking the pencil up again, the nib soft as it rolls over the corner of your eye. “Sirius can perfect it in the car, right?”
“I thought you were good at everything?” you ask.
James turns your face up impossibly higher, craning his head down for a peck. “Yes,” he whispers severely, “I’m good at everything. But Sirius is usually better. Quick, let’s find your lipgloss before we’re late.”
Remus tries to tell James that it isn’t true, a serious conversation at a bad time, and James won’t listen to a word of it. They quibble over who’s doing your lipgloss, bathe you in compliments when they’re done —aw, dove, you look so cute, and cute? she looks perfect— then suddenly an abrupt beep is sounding outside. The three of you scramble into your jackets and down the stairs, meeting Sirius where he leans against the car. He throws the keys to Remus, ushering you into the backseat with him for some last minute clean up.
“Hey, they’ve done a good job,” he praises, another hand on your face to turn it up kindly to the light. “Did you bring your lipgloss?”
You nod quickly and dig for it in your jacket.
“What!” James says from the front, turning in the passenger seat to complain. “That’s the one thing we did perfectly.”
The car starts. Remus laughs to himself behind the steering wheel.
“Did I say otherwise?” Sirius asks, letting his fingers curve toward the back of your neck. Pale in the light, eyes lit with something funny you’ve yet to hear, he dips in close to you and talks quietly, “I’m sorry, I promised I’d do your makeup for the party. But you’ve all done well without me, you look perfect, especially your lips.”
“Then what did you want it for?” you ask, confused, your seat belt pulling as Sirius encourages you forward.
“To reapply.” He taps your neck with a fingertip. “Spare a kiss? I promise I’ll fix any mess.”
Commotion from the front seat.
“James–” Remus warns.
“What? I want to watch.”
“Freak,” Sirius says lovingly.
“How am I a freak? She’s my girlfriend, you’re my boyfriend, and you’re doing that voice like you’re gonna lay her down in the back seat.”
“James.”
requests r open!! pls think about reblogging if you enjoyed, I hope u did either way!!!

Could I request something with James? Where reader lashes out at him and she had arguments with her ex a lot and expected this (her lash out) to get into a really big argument but he’s just like „okay noted“ and super kind about it (a little bit inspired by all my ghosts by lizzy)
(You can obviously change stuff to your liking and no pressure)
all hail lizzy mcalpine. i loved this request and i love james! thank you!
“Im serious, James!” You exclaim, a little louder than necessary. “I miss you! You’re always at practice, or with the boys, and I love the boys! But I miss you!”
He pauses in the doorway, startled by your reaction.
Remus and Sirius miss me too, you expect him to say, or rather, I can’t miss rugby cause you miss me a little more. You anticipate the sting of his words before they come, bracing yourself as you lean back against the kitchen countertop. They don’t come.
“And I miss your hugs.” You tear up pitifully, trying again, rather weakly, as he walks over. You don’t want an argument, but why isn’t it coming? “You’ve been gone so much. You know I hate doing the dishes.”
He grabs ahold of your elbow, his thumb digging into the crease as he pulls you close. Your palms dig into your eyes as your forehead dips against his chest. The way your shoulders shake aches him. He should never be the reason for your tears.
He’s been gone more recently, yes, and he feels terrible about it. If he’s not at rugby, the boys want to see him, and if he’s not with the boys, he’s at rugby. He’s missed you so much recently, he just didn’t know you mirrored his emotions.
“I’m the worst,” James says sincerely. “I didn’t know I was making you feel like this.”
“I’m sorry,” you sniffle, stress evident in your choked voice. “I’m not trying to make you feel bad or guilty, by crying I mean.”
He rocks you back and forth, arms securely over your shoulders. His embrace is a little tight, but this is the longest hug you’ve had this week and you can’t bring yourself to say something.
“Please don’t say that, please don’t feel bad for crying.”
“It’s totally manipulative though, I know, I’m sorry.”
He pulls back, searching for something in your eyes. “What are you talking about?”
“It’s just-“
He looks so sad and confused as you pause midway. Helpless, like he doesn’t know what to do with you. Quietly, you feel bad for giving him the crease between his brows.
“You’re not mad?”
“Mad?” James appalls. “Im going mad knowing I’m the dolt that made you feel like this.”
“James-“
“I’d totally beat someone up if they treated you like this, I would hate them forever.”
“Stop.”
“No, seriously!” He doubles down. “I would never forgive them.”
He’s so unapologetically him it aches you deeply. He’s rosy, smiles and boyish giggles. Warm in the summer, and warm in the winter. Radiating a kind of glow that only very special people are able to emanate. Sometimes you secretly feel like you’ll never be able to glow like him, but he always manages to bring it out of you when you’re around him.
You frown suddenly. “I’m so tired of missing you, Jamie.”
“I miss you too, lovely.” He’s serious again. “How can we get through this?”
You shrug, unused to this gentle treatment you so desperately deserve.
“Should we install weekly dates, hmm?” James asks. “We should, shouldn’t we?”
You shrug again feeling weak with emotion.
“Or tell the boys to bugger off,” he continues without giving you room to speak. “You’re much too kind to say it but I know, my love.”
You laugh quietly, nudging your cheek against his shoulder. He’s fond, smiling as he watches down to you.
“Oh, my girl,” he croons, grabbing your warm face to cradle. “Totally not to pull the victim card, but I missed you so much more.”
“Really?”
“I moon over you while you’re away. The boys are sick of it.”
He leans down nuzzling his cheek against yours, pulling back to kiss the corner of your mouth, the side of your nose, the apple of your cheek. You don’t know what to do with yourself, letting your wringing hands float up to hold his shoulders.
“Thank you for telling me.” He says honestly.
You reel earnestly. Only James Potter could thank you for trying to start an argument.
“You’re welcome.”

Hi I don't know if you're still taking requests right now but I wanted to request a Sirius Black x Reader where Reader is in love with Sirius but Sirius is in denial to his feelings until he sees reader with another guy whom he knows has a crush on her? Please and if not that's alright! Thanks for taking the time to read this :)
a/n: thank you for requesting! enjoy!! also reader is slightly implied to be a gryffindor but it isn’t stated.
pairing: sirius black x reader
sirius was gobsmacked, shocked and confused? yes he was definitely confused. why on earth were you holding jackson’s hand? jackson is a ravenclaw boy in your and sirius’ year, and he just happened to have a crush on you. sirius couldn’t wrap his head around it. he never thought you would date someone from ravenclaw. they weren’t your type. sirius was sure you’d date someone from gryffindor. like him.
“when did that happen?” sirius turns to james waving his hand at you and the boy in question.
james looks over to his distressed friend, not very interested in the topic. “dunno,”
“i guess today?” james shrugs his shoulders, staring at lily evans, who happens to be sitting a few seats down. letting out a slightly annoyed huff, sirius turns to his other best friends. staring and maybe even slightly glaring at peter and remus. “do either of you know?”
“no, and i don’t care.” remus mutters, not even looking up from his breakfast, someone was moody this morning. sirius makes a mental note to check on him later, right now you were more important than moony’s mood swings. he turns his head slightly towards peter, with an eyebrow raised. he’s hoping and slightly praying peter would know.
“yeah i do, you’re an ass.” peter states bluntly, picking up his fork to take another bite of his breakfast. laughter erupts around them. sirius can hear both james and remus snickers of amusement.
clearly this was a hilarious joke to them. sirius is even more confused now, peter didn’t answer his question. and sure sirius could be mean. but he couldn’t remember ever being cruel to you. he hasn’t pulled a prank on you at all this year. what could he have possibly done?
“what are you talking about?!” sirius can’t help but raise his voice. becoming more agitated by his friends laughter. sirius also couldn’t help but point out that his friend never answered his question. “also that doesn’t answer my question!”
peter stops laughing, setting down his fork by his plate. he can’t help but sigh at his friend. “man, you’re dense!”
“i’m not-“ sirius quickly defends himself.
“sirius, she’s only going out with him because you said no to her date.” sirius slightly pouts, as if he’s a little child again. huffing out, “what date?”
“the one where she asked you to hogsmade, idiot.” remus can’t help but chip in, still looking down eating his breakfast. he may be in a bad mood but, that would never stop remus from pointing out how his friends were idiots. he often enjoyed it.
sirius shakes his head in denial, his friends are wrong. he would know if you asked him on a date. “that wasn’t a date.” peter groans at sirius, thinking that sirius is either oblivious- or stupid. peter thinks the later.
“it was, she’s in love you!” peter shouts, slamming his fist on the table. catching other students attention. and catching sirius off guard. sirius is once again confused, what felt like for the thousandth time this morning.
“since when?”
“since i don’t know, forever.” james confesses. sirius knows that james would never lie to him. especially about something as serious as this.
“you’re serious?”
“no you’re sirius.”
sirius rolls his eyes at james stupid, old and now lame joke. “haha, very funny.”
“jokes aside, yes i’m very serious .” james stops laughing at his joke and pats sirius on the shoulder, offering sirius some sort of comfort.
“now that’s cleared up. stop sitting there. go get your girl, idiot” remus finally looks up from his food, and glares at sirius. his scars by his eyes stretch a little.
“but there already dating.” sirius can’t help but deflate. you’re already dating someone. a boy, who truly can’t appreciate you like sirius.
“sirius, do you love her?” james asks, he knows the answer. sirius has been in love with you since first year. he just couldn’t see it.
“yes.”
“then go to her!” james yells, shaking sirius friend. giving him all the courage and confidence he needed.
“besides they’ve only been on one date. so they’re not officially together.” peter provides the facts. and sirius is very grateful his friend loves to gossip. sirius goes to stand and chase after you. you didn’t need that stupid ravenclaw guy, in sirius’ opinion.

Sirius sighed when he walked into your shared room for the vacation. “Baby, what did we say?”
“No work after 10pm… I know…” you sighed, yet it was 11 and you were still studying for your next potion exam, reading your notes while laying with your stomach against the mattress.. It was spring break which meant the last break before the final exam and you spent it at your grandparents’ with your boyfriend Sirius.
Sirius sat on your bed next to you “You can’t keep doing that. It’s not healthy.”
“The amount of cigarettes you smoke isn’t healthy either.”
“This isn’t what it’s about,” Sirius scoffed. “You need to stop overworking yourself, I’m starting to get worried.” He could see the dark circles under your eyes and the way you were pushing yourself closer and closer to exhaustion.
You stayed silent, eyes fixed on your notes. But then you glanced up at him, he was distracting, what an idea he had to always go to sleep shirtless.
“I’m serious, babe. It’s not because it’s exam season that you can work from 8am to midnight,” Sirius said as he pulled you into a hug. “Why do you keep worrying?”
“Because it never feels like I know everything and I’m just so stressed because this is our last year and I don’t know what I’ll do if I miss those exams.”
His hand brushed your hair softly “Stop stressing yourself over. You will do great, you’re brilliant.”
You curled up by his side, seeking for his comfort, you had to admit you were tired. “But what if,” you insisted and Sirius shook his head.
“Stop worrying about those, focus on what you know. You know you’re smart, you work a lot, you try everything you can, you do your best. There’s such a few chances you’ll miss. And you know what?”
You shook your head.
“Even if you miss one of the papers, it’s fine. It’s not going to be the end of the world.” Sirius knew you hated that idea, you were such a perfectionist and he hated that sometimes. He just hoped you could give yourself some rest.
He tightened his hold on you “I promise you, baby. You will do amazing.” Sirius could feel you press your face to his neck. “Take a break for the night and promise me to sleep in tomorrow.”
“Okay,” you whispered. You were aware he was probably not spending the spring break of his life. You spent most of the day studying while he was only spending half your time working on revising for the exams.
You pushed the potions notes off the bed and Sirius smiled “Now, that’s better.” He laid back on the bed and pulled you on top, “You’re so exhausted, baby.”
“Yeah,” you whispered.
Sirius stayed silent for a second before saying “Take the entire day off tomorrow.” He kept talking before you could argue “You spent the entire week working restless, you can take a day off. You won’t fail.”
You close your eyes, you had to admit you wouldn’t say no to this. Also… you wanted to spend some time with your boyfriend. “Ok… I’ll take the day off.”
Sirius smiled and kissed you, his lips gently pressing against yours “Thank you, baby.”
You laid back on the bed, rolling so you were on your side of the mattress. With your stomach flat against the sheets, you slowly relaxed. Sirius observed you softly, glad you were finally resting.
“Baby?” he called. You opened your eyes and let him talk. “You must be tired of sitting on a chair all day, no?”
“Yeah my back is a little sore,” you whispered and before you could do anything, Sirius was straddling you, his hands on your back. “Oh.”
Sirius chuckled, “Let me take care of you, okay?” He leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss behind your ear “Do you want to remove your pyjama shirt? So I can massage you better?” he asked gently, he just wanted you to feel better.
Once your top was removed, his hands slowly worked on your back muscles, fingers digging into your flesh, gently removing the knots. You relaxed into his touch, exhaustion leaving your body.
You knew how much you could trust him and how much he always wanted you to feel good. “I love you, Sirius,” you whispered, your eyelids now heavy from your restless day of studying.
He smiled, his lips finding your shoulder “I love you too, baby.”
You fell asleep there, as he was still massaging your back. Sirius chuckled to himself and removed himself from you before wrapping his arms around your sleeping form, his naked chest against your bare back. He pressed a chaste kiss to your temple. “Sleep tight, baby. You deserve it”

Hi! I'd copy-and-pasted this request into my doc to write it, but now I can't find it in my inbox! I don't think it was anonymous, so if this is your request and it somehow got deleted, I'm very sorry! Thank you for requesting, apologies for the wait, and hope you like it <3
hi love!!! Congratulations on 1,000 followers!!! I absolutely adore your writing and if your requests are open I’d love it if you could right something about poly marauders with a reader who’s non-binary or gender fluid. Maybe they just got together and the reader hasn’t came out to them yet or something. Idk you get all the writing freedom, of course if you don’t want to write it’s totally fine!!! Thanks anyway 🫶💗🫶💗 xoxo

“Sirius, no.” Remus rubs at his temples. “I will not mar you with a tattoo gun you bought from some bloke on the street.”
“Oh, don’t be such a wuss,” Sirius complains, sitting spread out on his bed. “It'll be fun, you can all do it!”
“I’m on board,” James says from his own bed. He’s levitating his shoes about the room idly. “Hey Pads, can we draw anything we want?”
Sirius ponders this for a moment. “If you do a dick, it has to be small, and I’m putting an arrow with your name next to it.”
James’ smile fades, and he lets the shoes drop. “You’re no fun.”
“I don’t know,” you say to Remus, looking up at him from your chosen spot on the floor of their dorm. “It’s his body, I say let him cover it in shitty tattoos if that’s what he wants.”
“Yes!” Sirius hops down from his bed to throw an arm around your shoulders, planting a kiss on your cheek. “That’s what I’m talking about, that’s my girl!”
You’d begun to glow at his over-the-top praise, but you dim at the last bit. Sirius must feel it; he looks over at you quizzically as Remus says for the fifth time, “That’s fine, but I won’t have anything to do with it.”
“Well, it’ll…” Sirius’ eyebrows furrow as he continues to watch you. You try to bury your discontent where he can’t see it, but once he catches a whiff of melancholy he becomes a dog with a bone. The levity slowly leeches from his voice. “It’ll be more fun if you all do it…Sorry, sweetheart, is everything alright?”
You don’t want the attention, but you can’t bring yourself to lie. “I didn’t mean to distract you,” you say softly, shoulders hunching forward. “Keep going.”
“No, that’s alright.” His slender fingers squeeze at your shoulder like he can tell you need the comfort. “It’s not actually important. What’s on your mind?”
You want to tell him. You want to tell all of them, you have for weeks, but is there ever a right time? When the boys had first asked you out, it felt too abrupt to say anything, like you were making a big deal out of nothing because they didn’t even know you all that well. But now you’ve turned serious faster than you could’ve seen coming, and they feel like they do know you that well. And the longer you go without telling them, the more like you feel like you’re keeping some dirty secret.
You should have just corrected them the first time they’d gotten your pronouns wrong. Each time feels like someone’s chipping away at your heart with a toothpick, the pain lessened by your surety in their good intentions but still very much there. It’s almost worse, now, to be on the precipice of falling in love with people who you don’t feel really know you, and it’s all your own fault.
This isn’t how you’d imagined the conversation coming about, but it might be the best chance you get for a while.
“I, uh.” You clear your throat, unsure if you should move out from under Sirius’ arm for this conversation but really not wanting to. “I don’t…listen, it’s not your fault, but I don’t really like it when you call me your girl.”
Sirius lets his arm drop to look at you properly, hurt flashing across his features. You take his hand, selfish thing that you are. “I mean it, it’s really not your fault.” It’s more plea than promise. “It’s just that I don’t—I don’t really see myself as a girl. I’m sorry.”
You watch confusion take hold in Sirius’ expression before letting your eyes flit to the other boys. James looks tentatively like he’s beginning to understand, and Remus’ face is carefully controlled. He leans his elbows on his knees, looking down at you.
“What do you mean by that, honey?”
You know the endearment is meant to soften the question, but you get all tense around the middle anyway.
“Just that…” You swallow, and James offers you a small smile of encouragement. “I don’t really see myself as any gender. It’s…it’s called nonbinary, I don’t know if you might’ve heard of it before? I’m really sorry I didn’t say something sooner.”
“Hey, that’s alright.” James kicks a foot out from his bed, nudging your leg gently. “I’m really glad you told us, angel. Thank you.”
You try to return his smile, chewing your lip.
“Merlin, I thought you meant you didn’t want to be our girl,” Sirius sighs, bumping your shoulder with his. “That would have been unacceptable. You can be our something-else, though, if you like.”
This is going well, you tell yourself. They’re being as kind as you’d always expected. Still, you don’t feel like they fully understand what you’re so clumsily trying to tell them.
“I get it if this changes things for you,” you say, and when you lean away from Sirius’ touch, he doesn’t chase you. “I know this is…you signed on for a girlfriend, not this.”
The gentle smile drops from James’ face. His eyebrows twitch together uncertainly. “We…what? No, we didn’t…we didn’t ‘sign on’ for anything like that. We signed on for you.”
“Darling,” Remus says, in that careful, measured voice that you can’t decide if you should be nervous about, “I don’t know a lot about this, so correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the point that you’re still you? You’re just telling us how you’d like to be treated and understood, right?”
You take a second to run over his words in your head before nodding.
Everything about Remus has gone soft, from his eyes to the gentle uptilt of his mouth. “Then James is right. Nothing has changed. I mean, we can make any changes to our relationship that make you more comfortable, but nothing about how much we care for you is any different.”
“And look around you, sweetheart.” Laughter livens Sirius’ tone. “It’s not like any of us are only dating girls.”
A smile tugs at your lips. “That’s a good point,” you mumble, and he laughs, arm reclaiming its spot around your shoulders.
“Yeah, I actually do make those sometimes,” he teases. “Listen, gorgeous, I don’t think anyone here has a problem with you being whoever you are. Just tell us what you like to be called, and we will. And if there’s anything we do that you don’t like,” he adds, giving your shoulder a little squeeze, “you can tell us those things too.”
James nods, emphatic. “Exactly. We want to support you, angel. Thanks for telling us, but just keep talking to us when you can, okay?”
You have to bite down on your lip to contain the full scope of your smile. “Okay,” you promise him, overflowing with a gratitude that feels a lot like love. “Thanks. You guys are too sweet to me.”
Remus makes a pfft sound. “Dove, I cannot believe that is your standard for sweetness. You’ve set the bar far too low.”

shy!r x sirius at a halloween party, please? :)
ofc angel!! sorry this took so long, please enjoy my one and only halloween themed blurb hahaha!
sirius black x shy!fem!reader
You’re an odd mixture of nervous and bubbly as you and Sirius make the rounds at James and Lily’s halloween party. You haven’t met all of his friends but some of them, so he’s introducing you to the ones you don’t know. So far you’ve met three people dressed as wizards and you’re starting to think it’s an inside joke.
Sirius, dressed in an incredibly attractive black leather getup, dark makeup and red horns sticking out of his wavy hair to complete the look, leads you into the kitchen where a pretty blonde girl is mixing her drink with a fruit skewer.
“Marl! Hi, doll,” Sirius kisses the cheek of the girl in question. “This is my angel, Y/N.” He gives your hand a squeeze and encourages your forward. “Sweetheart, this is Marlene.”
You feel yourself go hot in the cheeks. He keeps introducing you as his angel, which is probably your fault since you picked the angel costume. A flowy white dress, dewy makeup, white fluffy wings. You thought it was simple and cute and wouldn’t draw too much attention to you. You’re starting to realise how very wrong you were.
“Hi, Marlene,” you manage, embarrassed.
“Wow, you look incredible,” Marlene gushes excitedly, moving in for a friendly hug. You detach yourself from Sirius to hug her back. She looks amazing herself in a lacy black dress and fake blood all down her front. She pulls away and holds you at arms length. “You’re so pretty!”
“Thank you,” you say, more flustered than ever. Sirius is still close but he’s distracted showing off his outfit to Remus in the kitchen doorway. “It’s really good to meet you.”
Marlene beams. “You too, I thought Sirius was hiding you from us!” She laughs, then lowers her voice and leans in close, “He is looking after you, isn’t he?”
“Yes,” you laugh. You can’t help but giggle at her serious tone. It’s not the first time one of his friends have asked you this, mostly as a joke, but you know it’s also because he’s so intimidating and you’re decidedly un-intimidating.
“Yeah, he is,” you tell her. He really is. He’s a sweetheart under all the punk. You suppose the angel-devil thing isn’t helping your case much, but it’s true, and you don’t care if other people think you’re an odd match. Sirius likes you the way you are and you him.
“Good,” Marlene nods, satisfied, and leans back. “Was it just me or did I hear him call you ‘my angel’? That’s awful. He’s such a—“
Sirius appears at your side again. You know he’s there a second before he appears because his warm hand finds a place at the small of your back before he interrupts,
“What are we talking about, girls?” He asks loudly.
Marlene squints at him.
“Speak of the devil,” she says, which is funny, because he’s literally dressed as a devil tonight.
“You were talking about me?” He asks, pleased. He slides his arm around your waist and pulls you into his side. “Hope it was about how devilishly handsome I am.”
You and Marlene make twin faces at each other.
“Sure, Pads,” Marlene deadpans, her nose wrinkled.
Sirius grins. You’d never admit it but he is actually extremely handsome and you could probably talk about it forever.
“I knew it,” he says. “C’mon, babe, I’ll introduce you to Frank and Alice, yeah? I think they’ll love our costumes.”
You let yourself get tugged away by Sirius, happy to follow him wherever he goes. Marlene winks at you when Sirius isn’t looking.

chef!sirius x reader who talks to her 'secret admirer' in front of him
Tumblr media
You sit at the small kitchen table in Sirius’s flat, a mischievous smile playing on your lips as you glance over at Sirius, who’s busy chopping vegetables with practiced ease. The smells of garlic, onions, and herbs fill the kitchen, and you can’t resist—this is the perfect moment to execute your prank.
You pick up your phone and, making sure Sirius is within earshot, start your act. “Hello? Oh! Yes, I remember you!” you say, injecting your voice with just the right amount of fake surprise and excitement.
Sirius’s knife pauses mid-chop, but he resumes after a moment, though you catch the faint furrow in his brow. Ignoring it, you continue, raising the drama. “Oh, you're so sweet! Wow, I can't believe you think that about me! Oh, stop it—you’re making me blush!”
Sirius’s brows knit together, and he glances your way with suspicious curiosity. You can almost feel the intensity of his stare as he chops a bit harder than necessary, clearly trying to eavesdrop without seeming too obvious. You put on a show, gushing about your 'secret admirer.'
“You think my eyes are what?” you giggle, exaggerating a girlish laugh that makes Sirius almost slice his finger. “No, no—you’re the beautiful one! Oh, you charmer!” You throw in a dramatic hand gesture, flicking your hair over your shoulder for added flair.
Sirius's patience visibly wanes. He clears his throat. “Who’s that?” he asks, tone casual, but his eyes are narrowing suspiciously.
“Oh, it’s nothing, Sirius!” you wave him off, giving him a cheeky grin. “Just a friend.” You make a big show of turning your back to him and lowering your voice like you’re sharing a deep, intimate secret with the imaginary person on the line.
The next few minutes are filled with you exaggerating every possible compliment, peppering in things like, “You’re just the sweetest person, aren’t you?” and “Oh, you’d love to take me out on a date? How romantic!” You catch Sirius rolling his eyes every now and then, his lips pressed together in a thin line as he chops more furiously.
When you mention that your ‘secret admirer’ suggested a home-cooked meal, Sirius can’t hold back any longer. “So, who’s the chef, then?” he asks, voice tight, clearly annoyed by being out of the loop.
You smirk. “Oh, they want me to cook for them tomorrow! Isn’t that sweet? I’d love to make them dinner,” you say with exaggerated sincerity. The silence that follows is thick, and you barely suppress a snicker.
Sirius’s expression shifts from confusion to sudden realization, and then—oh, he’s not playing fair. A sly smile tugs at his lips, and he puts the knife down, wiping his hands on his apron. He’s clearly caught on, but he’s not going to let you off the hook that easily. “You know,” he says with an all-too-innocent tone, “I think that’s a wonderful idea. But how about I cook instead? I’m sure your ‘admirer’ would love my famous pasta.”
You blink, caught off-guard. He’s supposed to be pouting, not turning the tables! “Uh, well, no, I was going to—”
“No, no, love,” he interrupts, smiling like he’s won the lottery. “I insist. You’d want to impress them, right? And… well, we both know you struggle to boil water without setting off the smoke alarm.”
Your face scrunches up in a pout, but the teasing gleam in his eyes makes your heart melt. “I can cook!” you argue, crossing your arms defensively. “I just—prefer your cooking, that’s all!”
Sirius steps closer, his voice dropping to a mock-serious whisper. “Oh, sure, I’m sure your ‘admirer’ would be thrilled to try your famous burnt toast or your… unique way of scrambling eggs.”
You narrow your eyes at him, fighting a smile. “It’s called creative cooking, you culinary snob!”
He chuckles, wrapping his arms around you and pressing a light kiss to your forehead. “I knew it was a prank, you little menace. You’d never dare to cook dinner for someone you actually liked. Besides—” he grins, “I’m the only one who gets to flirt with you in my kitchen.”
You let out an exaggerated huff, but you’re already melting in his embrace, giving in to his playful warmth. “Fine,” you grumble, though you can’t help but smile up at him, “but you have to admit you got a little jealous.”
“Me? Jealous?” he scoffs dramatically, dipping you backward like in a cheesy romance movie, his face hovering inches from yours. “Never. I was just concerned for the health and safety of your mysterious admirer. No one should be subjected to your ‘cooking’ without proper warning.”
You both dissolve into laughter, and you can’t resist wrapping your arms around his neck as he pulls you back upright, grinning down at you like you’re his favorite person in the world.
“Admit it,” you tease softly. “You were jealous.”
“Maybe a little,” he concedes with a smile, leaning in to kiss you softly. “But who could blame me? My kitchen, my girl—no secret admirer is stealing you away.”
You laugh, squeezing him a little tighter. “I guess I can let you cook for me, just this once,” you tease, though both of you know you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Sirius chuckles, ruffling your hair. “How generous of you. But just for that, I’m making my best pasta tonight. And maybe, if you’re really nice, I’ll let you ‘help’ by setting the table.”
“Oh, such an honor!” you say with mock seriousness, earning another laugh from him.
He pulls you close again, resting his forehead against yours, his playful expression softening. “I don’t need fancy pranks or secret admirers, love. You’re stuck with me—bad cooking, cheesy lines, and all.”
You smile up at him, feeling warmth flood your chest. “Deal,” you whisper, giving him a quick peck on the nose. “But just wait until my next prank. You won’t know what hit you.”
He laughs, tucking a stray hair behind your ear. “Bring it on. But fair warning: I’m keeping an eye on you, troublemaker.”
As he goes back to chopping vegetables, you take your place at the small kitchen table, feeling perfectly content in the warmth of his presence, the comfort of his laughter, and the knowledge that, prank or not, you’ve found your favorite place in the world—right here, by his side.

soulmates - @wolfstarmicrofic - words: 995
CW: (mild?) deprecating/ableist language
“Something to say, Moony?” said Sirius when they strolled into the Great Hall for lunch. There were a whole lot of things Remus had to say, but the waste of time their Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson had been easily topped the list. N.E.W.T.s were coming up, which equated to spiking nerves - unless you were called James Potter or Sirius Black and graced with infinite talent and matching nonchalance. It wasn’t like Remus wasn’t doing okay; he was. He had no right to complain compared to Peter. But he would much prefer actually learning something useful about Patronuses rather than wasting a whole lesson talking about the implications of matching Patronuses. He could have practiced the Protean Charm or revised on Asphodel or...
So, yes, Remus had a few things on his mind, but what he said was, “No.”
“Your face disagrees,” said Sirius, eyebrow raised, while James loaded his plate with a generous helping of everything within his reach. “It’s the soulmate stuff, isn’t it?”
“It’s stupid,” Remus muttered before his brain had a chance to step in. He didn’t want to give this ridiculous soulmate thing any more thought. And he knew better than to get into this sort of discussion with Sirius. He had a sneaking suspicion that more often than not Sirius took the opposite stance of Remus just for the fun of it. “It’s not real, is it? They’re tricking us.”
Sirius’s lips twitched. “Tricking us? How?” But he was quickly drowned out by James’s resounding “Oi!” He flicked a pea which almost got stuck in Remus's left nostril but bounced off and landed in his potatoes instead.
“Thanks, Prongs.”
“Take that back.” James’s face was all seriousness. Of course, he wasn’t going to give up on this after just having found out that Lily’s Patronus matched his Animagus form. “I said take it back, Moony.”
“I take it back,” said Remus. “It’s unreal for anyone - except for you and Lily.”
Sirius laughed softly, but James seemed placated enough.
“Thank you.” James glanced sideways at Lily, who was sitting a few seats down the table, chatting. She seemed to feel the weight of his gaze on her because she turned her head as she brushed her long red hair behind her ear. Despite talking, her lips spread into a smile, her eyes softening. As if a switch was flicked, James answered with his own dopey grin, a grin they had all seen too often over the last seven months.
Seven months down the road, and James still seemed to forget the world around him whenever Lily so much as looked at him. There was a pull in Remus’s chest, something like yearning, and he found himself meeting Sirius’s eyes, who seemed rather amused by James having completely forgotten about his pile of food, but whose eyes were already set on Remus.
“Don’t mind him, Prongs,” said Sirius with a grin.
Remus rolled his eyes. He didn’t care whether Sirius was in the mood to play his little ‘I disagree with you just for the sake of it’-game today - Remus was anything but. “Save it, Padfoot. You won’t convince me that you of all people believe in that stuff.”
No, not Sirius ‘I predict Divination is a waste of time’ Black.
Soulmates, fate, fortune-telling. All nonsense.
But Sirius ploughed on with a thoughtful expression as if he was sussing out one of life’s great mysteries. He would do that often, although he hadn’t been able to fool any of them since second year. It was always in his eyes. And right now, they were still twinkling with barely restrained amusement. “I think he’s just jealous because it’s real for anybody but him.”
There was too much truth in that - even if this whole soulmate nonsense was real, it didn’t change a thing for Remus. Being with someone in that way - serious relationship and all - was simply not in the cards for him. A big ugly stamp starting with ‘l’ and ending with ‘ycanthropy’ slammed on him at the age of four and marking him out would forever make sure of that.
Under the table, Sirius nudged Remus’s foot with his own and hooked it behind his ankle, causing Remus to look up. “You’d need a soul to have a soulmate, wouldn’t you,” he said, tone just shy of accusatory. “Bad luck for being soulless and evil, deserving nothing, right?”
Remus’s breath hitched. Werewolf jokes didn’t stir him anymore these days; James and Sirius had made them all and then some. But there was no way this choice of words wasn’t deliberate, not when it was the  choice of words his own father had used years and years ago, when the Ministry had let Greyback loose. The words that had started it all.
He didn’t know how Sirius knew. But Sirius did know, no doubt. The smile had slowly dropped off his face, and he was now looking at Remus with an uncomfortable intensity as if trying to dig into his mind. As if trying to tell him something.
“I really thought we’d skip the werewolf jokes for at least a day,” said Remus lowly and only just to say something. “Clearly, I overestimated your self-restraint.”
A beat of silence passed between them in which Sirius just kept staring back at him. “Clearly, I overestimated your intelligence.” He shook his head, getting to his feet.
James looked up. “What’re you doing?”
“Asking Evans for some advice.”
“What about?”
Sirius inhaled, his eyes lingering on Remus. “I don’t know about soulmates,” he said. “But I know an oblivious idiot when I see one. And Evans seems to have some experience with those.”
James watched him march over to Lily. “I give him another three days before he loses it,” he said, then looked at Remus, who was still frowning. James's smile reached all the way up to his hazel eyes. “Two, if you keep looking like that.”

It was a warm, sunny day at Hogwarts and most of the students were out on the front lawn, reveling in the warmth that had been gone for so long. Under one particular tree sat three boys. Sirius, Remus, and Peter. Now these three boys were seemingly not as content as they might otherwise have been, usually joking around. The reason for this could be found not too far away from them, sitting on a blanket having a picnic with his new girlfriend.
“You know, staring at them isn’t going to make James come back over here.” Remus said from where he lay on the ground.
Sirius grumbled, “I know.”
Laughter echoed through the spring air.
“I’m happy for them, ya know? But she stole him! The least she could do is let us borrow him every once and a while.” He complained.
Remus sat up slightly, shielding his eyes with his hand. “After all the years Prongs spent mooning over her he’s probably afraid that if he leaves her alone for one second she’ll revert back to not liking him.”
Peter looked over at the two of them from where he sat. “We’ll all get to hang out during the summer though, right?”
“Nah, she’s staying with us for the first part of the summer.” Sirius said, referring to the Potter household. For the past few summers all four boys had stayed together there and all of them saw it as a home away from home, though now, since Sirius had started actually living with them, he did truly see it as home.
“Finally. Now I’ll have someone to have intellectually stimulating conversations with.” Remus joked.
Sirius clutched his chest in shock, “Are you saying that we aren’t stimulating you?”
Remus gave him a look. “Don’t you dare laugh.” He warned.
Sirius grinned back, barely holding in laughter.
“I’m seri...” Remus stopped, realizing his blunder. “Shit.”
Sirius started cracking up, saying through laughs, “No, I’m Sirius.”
Remus and Peter exchanged a look.
“You walked right into that one, my friend.”
The werewolf sighed, “I know.”
Across the field, Lily and James were finishing up their food. Lily was still munching on the last remnants of her meal while James was already done so he took the time to admire the beautiful girl that sat next to him. She was absolutely stunning. He already knew that but it wasn’t until recently that he had been able to admire her beauty up close.
As if she could sense his gaze she looked over at him, her eyes meeting his.
“What are you doing?” She asked in bewilderment.
“Gazing at the most amazing girl I have ever met and wondering how I managed to get her to agree to go on a date with me.”
She laughed, pushing playfully at his shoulder. “Flatterer.”
“I mean it.” He insisted.
She ducked her head down in embarrassment, “Thank you.”
Lily shifted a bit to look out into the distance at the Black Lake, the sun shimmering on the surface.
Staring into her beautiful green eyes he couldn’t help but ask, “Lils?”
She looked over at him, “Yes, Jamie?”
“Were your eyes always this wonderful?” He asked, with a dazed expression on his face.
Her cheeks flushed a deep pink, “You are the first person to say that besides mum & dad.”
“Does your sister not like them?” He asked, puzzled at how anybody could stare into her gorgeous emerald eyes and not think they were absolutely stunning.
“No, she thinks they are ugly.” Lily admitted.
“She needs to get her eyes checked.”
Lily giggled.
“No, I’m being serious.” James said earnestly.
“That’s sweet of you.”
Lily smiled inwardly, ever since she had finally said yes to going on a date he had been acting over the moon. Flowers had appeared at her door every morning with a handwritten note that always had some compliment or, occasionally, a quote. She had been quite amused and very touched when she discovered that he had been asking Remus for recommendations and had even created a list of the ones that reminded him the most of her.
He was always being sweet to her, offering to carry things for her. While he had never been known to particularly care about getting to class on time he was frequently late because he always walked with her to class and somehow left his class early to arrive right when hers got out.
Her friends joked about how they were attached at the hip but she couldn’t be happier. Maybe it was too soon to know but she had a feeling that they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. When she looked over at him she could see herself marrying him, starting a family, and growing old together.
She ruffled his dark hair, leaning in to kiss him on the cheek. He looked up at her with a smile. A smile that earned himself yet another kiss, this one was a bit longer.
From a ways away came a few hoots. Laughing, they both turned to look at where Remus, Sirius, and Peter sat. James casually flipped them off before slipping a hand into Lily’s hair to pull her face towards his, kissing her again. They eventually pulled apart, but Lily sidled up closer and laid her head down on his shoulder, both of them looking out into the horizon at the sun starting to fall behind the mountains. They would eventually have to pack up and return to the castle but for now they simply enjoyed the mostly peaceful May evening side by side, wishing that they could just stay there in that moment together forever.

Harry x Wolfstar!Daughter and Harry being really protective! Like, some freak thing where Voldemort does come back, and the battle of Hogwarts and everything in DHP1 still exists and everything, Harry would be so protective of her! Absolutely nothing is going to touch his girlfriend! Maybe Voldemort even threatens reader when Harry is “dead”, and that’s when he reveals that he isn’t dead because there is no way this bald-ass no-nosed freaky pennywise-cousin’s lookin ass just threatened his girlfriend (or maybe fiancee at that point?)
YES!
The second wolfstar!daughter sees hagrid carrying harry her first instinct is to get mad as hell!! She starts cursing and swearing at voldermort. (Remus and Sirius are holding her back on instinct.) she does not give a single damn that he’s the dark lord. (And I just KNOW Harry is trying his best not to give himself away out of pure shock. He knows how protective she gets but he didn’t think that counted with the most powerful dark wizard in the world 💀💀)
But then voldermort tells her that she’ll be next (she’s too angry about Harry to care. Like she hasn’t even thought to check his pulse! she’s just mad that he’s bloody and looks unconscious.) but Harry does care!! Very much so!!! That’s when he decides to drop his act.
And I think that when Harry has to go horcrux hunting that’s when they have their first big/serious argument. Because Harry is just outright refusing to let her go but wolfstar!daughter was NOT having it! She’s not going to let him go on a dangerous mission without her. EVER. (She would think that he knows that by now but apparently not.)
They argue back and forth because Harry doesn’t want her to risk her life and she doesn’t want to stand by and watch him risk his. (She does end up winning the argument and she does help him out a lot.)
And yes, they do get engaged shortly after voldermort is defeated they’ve pretty much known from the beginning that they wanted to get married young like their parents did.

HI!!! so i am obsessed with your reader x coworker james first kiss fic. can we maybe get something about what came after? like how were the interactions the day or week after, how did they behave around each other, did james tell the boys or was he too nervous?
—you and James maintain a facade that Remus sees through
James wheels his chair to be as far from you as possible. He leans back, turns his monitor. Through the gap, he has a perfect window of your face without it being obvious that he’s staring. Well, sort of.
Stop staring.
James reads Remus’ slack message in surprise. He glances at you, finds you still snacking on chocolate covered somethings less covertly than you mean to be, and decides to grace his friend with a message back.
Nope
James, Remus messages.
I’m not really staring
You’re staring. She can definitely tell
James looks back to you, hoping to prove Remus wrong, but you’re staring straight at him. He has the instinct to look away and the sense not to, charmed into grinning when you squint at him, your mock suspiciousness adorable.
“James,” Remus says, clearing his throat.
James pulls his gaze away reluctantly. “What?”
“Can you answer my email?”
The email isn’t an email, but another slack message. Are you serious right now? You couldn’t be more obvious if you tried
James flicks a pen lid at him. “Obvious about what?” he mouths.
You get up and stretch, tactically failing to meet anyone’s eyes as you pick up your empty glass of water and leave.
“James, what’s going on?”
“What ever could you mean, my love?”
Remus rolls his chair toward. “Don’t flirt with me. I’m serious, what the hell is going on with you? You’re supposed to hate the girl.”
“Hate is such a strong word.”
“Well, you’re being a bit much no matter what.”
James bites his cheek in a hurry to straighten up. “You think so?”
Remus just stares at him.
James has done a fantastic job at keeping your kiss a secret. He doesn’t know how, mind you —you kissed him, you kissed him, you asked if you could and you kissed him like a sweetheart with the softest mouth he’s ever had the fortune to feel pressed against his own.
Since your kiss, he’s been feeling weirdly poetic. He totally gets all those Carol Ann Duffy poems they made him read at school now.
One day without telling anybody is impressive, at least to his own standards. “I know what I’m doing,” he says.
Remus frowns. “I’d love to be informed on what exactly that is.”
“Certain events have transpired and convinced me that I was quite wrong to have judged our girl so harshly.”
“Certain events?”
“I’m allowed some mystery,” James says, before smiling so hard it makes him squint and his cheeks apple. He rubs at his face roughly in an attempt to move forward, but he remembers the way your kiss had melded from soft and shy to hungry. Fuck, he loved it. He needs another one. He has no idea how to get it. “Ugh, I’m gonna go get my lunch from the fridge.”
“Sure you are. Alright, well, I’m gonna find Sirius and maybe he can convince you to start acting normal again.”
James goes to the kitchen first but abandons his charade when you aren’t there. He grabs his lunch, tucking it under his arm as he makes his way through to the break room. You’re thankfully, blissfully, sitting by the open window with a shop-bought salad.
He nods at the chair across from you. “Can I sit?”
“Yes.”
“That’s all you're eating?” he asks. A little tray of salad is hardly enough to keep you going until the end of the day. “I have gyoza chilli noodle soup, it’s amazing.”
“You’re gonna eat it cold?” you ask.
He leans forward, elbows on the table, holding your gaze. “No, but I’m busy right now.” He needs time to look you over. Every time he realises how pretty you are is like another beat of his capering pulse.
“Don’t harass me.”
“I’m not harassing you.”
“What would you call this?” You stab a few pieces of lettuce onto your fork. “I can’t have much more for dinner, I just had half a packet of chocolate covered strawberries.”
“Don’t say that, like some snacks and a salad are more than you’re allowed. Here, I'll warm this up and you can share. You’ll really like it, the gyoza are amazing.”
“So what, you’re gonna take care of me now?” you ask. You’re teasing, but there’s a slight edge of bitterness to it like you believe what you’re saying. James is swift to set that right, though he stays speaking in tongues with you.
“I’ve been trying to.” James can hear footsteps at the doorway, and besides, you’re right, he’s being too nice. He sucks in an unbothered breath. “Whatever, loser, stick to your sad salad.”
Your eyes widen. “I don’t want your cold soup, you idiot.”
Sirius and Remus filter in with one of your coworkers just behind them. “I thought you said he was being weird?” Sirius asks. “He seems pretty normal to me.”
Remus sighs forlornly, prompting a side hug from his boyfriend as he shepherds him to the table where you and James are sitting.
“He’s always being weird,” you say.
James kicks your foot gently. You pick through your salad with a poorly concealed smile.

to shake things up a little, what about remus, sirius, or james with a s/o who's [ somehow ] more outgoing and boisterous than them? and she's always flaunting their relationship, her adorable boyfriend, and says the most genuine compliments out of nowhere both to him and other people and it's got him all shy and blushy such
This is such a cute idea!!!! I chose Sirius cause I felt like it in the moment, but this is such a cute idea for all of them. I hope you like it!!<3
“And he-“ You stumble, pausing at the mop of black hair in front of you. “Oh! Siri!”
He laughs at your state, flicking hair away. “That’s me.”
“I was just telling them,” You turn to the girls you met in the kitchen. They wave. “About you.”
“Only good things I hope.”
“Terrible.” You frown, pulling the cherry from the bottom of your empty cup to drop it in Sirius’s. He has two cherries now. Your fingers are wet, and sticky, and Sirius brings your knuckles to his lips to kiss the mixture away. You flush, alcohol and love warming you. “He’s so sweet.”
“Didn’t work very well.” He frowns. “You’re still sticky.”
“I don’t mind.” You laugh.
“I do,” He looks around for the nearest washroom. “Those sticky fingers aren’t going anywhere near my hair.”
You huff, watching him tap is fingers on the island countertop. They click lightly, the gloss of his black nail polish shining in the twinkling candles in every corner. The girls get up and leave, waving at you brilliantly. You grin, waving back just as hard.
“I think there’s one-“ He pauses.
“What’re you looking for?” James pops up, glasses a little crooked. He smiles when you reach up to straighten them. “Thank you, dove.” He nods.
You laugh, turning to Sirius. His eyes still search for a washroom, but his hands found their way to your hip, and the fingers molding into your skin distract you.
“You alright, my love?” Mary giggles.
Lily steps in front of you, holding your face in her slender fingers. You smile at the freckles on her nose, drawn messily like little constellations
“You’re my best friends.” You grin.
“Your friends?” Sirius gawps.
“Yes, padfoot.” Remus nods seriously. “We’re her friends.”
The room is light, love floating around airily. Lily presses a kiss to your cheek. “How much have you had to drink?”
“Just enough.”
“Perfect.” She murmurs, pulling away to reside in Mary’s arms. Her lipstick stains your cheek softly.
You turn to Sirius. Your fingers are still sticky to his dismay, but he doesn’t complain when they tangle in his hoodie. “You are so pretty, Siri, I’m serious! Isn’t he so pretty?”
“It’s the eyes.” James gushes for your amusement.
You nod enthusiastically. “I know!”
Sirius startles. “You need toast.”
“I need a kiss.” You tip toe in the flats you put on in the dim sunlight of your apartment before you left. “Please.”
He sighs, worried sick for your head in the morning. Aspirin can only do so much. “Honey-“
“He is not this shy at home.” You supply your friends. “Normally he-“
“Woah!” Sirius laughs, covering your mouth with his large palm. “You need a burger. We’re leaving.”
“What!” You gasp. “I don’t want to leave.”
“We’ll miss you.” Marls frowns sympathetically, leaning into Dorcas.
“I’ll miss you too.” You sigh. “And your skirt is so pretty.”
Dorcas grins. “You like it?”
“I love it.” Pulling away from Sirius, each of your friends are graced with a goodbye hug. One by one. “I love you.”
“Go eat.” Remus laughs.
“Siri doesn’t le-“
“And thats enough!” He laughs loudly, covering your sentence. “We’re leaving now.”
