NECESSARY FACTS OF THE AU:

It���s a mostly peaceful AU, redemption arcs have happened, viruses controlled people, but people did still die- some multiple times- (they’re being brought back though Dw)

HarvestMoon *did* die, but not by StitchWraith or (technically) Monty. It was Creator’s fault (who will not be in the AU)

Ruin has rebuilt SolarFlare (‘Flare for short) and is working on bringing back Harvest, but some complications have occurred while trying to bring it back- and Harvest is now a child (Bloody’s a big brother!)

Ruin did still do all the Bombtober/October takeover 2.0 bullshit, but it was completely under the influence of Creators virus- Ruin is much different now and is disgusted by his past actions.

SOLAR IS ALIVE! HE DIDN’T DIE! Bc Ruin has no vendettas against all Creators- he doesn’t even know what the council is- (Which means yes, it still exists.)

ForkFace and Jack are starting a relationship together!

Forky is MtF, and goes by Franklin when not being referred to as ForkFace/Forky.

Eclipse and Lunar have somewhat made up! There’s still some underlying trauma and resentment on Lunar’s part, and a never ending out of guilt with Eclipse, but they’re actually civil and can joke around with eachother!

Eclipse has also apologized to the others for everything he did, so far Lunar is the only one actually giving him a chance- mainly to move past his own trauma. (Sun doesn’t Hate him anymore, just won’t accept the apology until he’s seen undeniable proof that Eclipse has truly changed, Moon still hates his guts, Earth never really had much of a problem with him so she doesn’t really have to do anything, KC is heavily thinking on whether or not to accept Eclipse as his son again, and the twins still want him dead for being the source of their trauma)

Ruin and Solar kinda like eachother a little bit, but not enough to start an actual relationship- idk if that’ll change tbh.

Basically I was in the process of working on Maiden when I was asked to write that, so I just transplanted them in. i dont think he’d join the gaang right away after he’s no longer with the fire nation but would first like half-die on some island (even if he didn’t get kicked off, i just imagine he’d do smth drastic like think he can sail a ship without getting lost just bc he’s spent a lot of time on a ship but like, honey no, navigation isnt as easy as it looks) bc zuko alone u kno

iroh is still his uncle in this, but zuko doesnt know that, so he thinks he’s just this weird hermit guy that finds him and takes him in

once zuko joins the crew of the avatar, sokka laughs like straight five minutes abt zuko thinking he could navigate his stolen boat after not even learning how to properly read a map, not to mention everything else that goes into navigating and zuko is like "fuck u" and sokka is like "lets show u how to read a map so this doesnt happen again" still with tears of laughter in his eyes, and maybe later when hes been on the crew for longer and maybe saved sokkas life in a fight, sokka teaches him abt the stars too and cue zuko pining after the way too beautiful guy trying to explain constellations but zuko just keeps getting lost in his eyes and being hyper aware of how close sokkas arm is when he points out specific stars

the reason zuko joins them in the first place is bc the avatar is the only crew that could protect him against azula and ozai and they’re the only ones willing/able to go up against the fire nation

also katara is the first to see zuko after he parted with the fn and she like immediately has a sword to his throat and boi just fucking faints

maybe jee is also a captain in this bc i really like it when the wani shows up in fanfics and maybe they’re not on good terms with ozai but they’re flying under the radar bc its just a small ship and they do bring in their percentage so maybe zuko joins his crew before he goes to find the gaang?

now some general thoughts:

the dai lee is the chinese navy out to get them all

miyuki is one of their highest ranking officers and gives the pirates a run for their money, but weirdly never goes to chase the Avatar

hakoda is also a captain but he’s working under ozai to take the operation down from the inside (also yes of course his husband bato is also there with him ^^)

kue is absolutely some weird hermit guy

- Maedhros can no longer raise his right arm above his shoulder since Thangorodrim, and when it gets particularly cold in Himring it makes his wounds seeze and ache. Fingon gives great massages.

- Since the Helcalaxe Fingon hates the cold. Any kind of cold. Has extra blankets all year round and has frost bite scars on his toes and fingers.

"My Lord Curufin there is a raven from Himring-" "Burn it. I swear if I have to make another set of armour for Fingon I'm chopping my hand off."

closer to viking and european style armour for them for them. Caranthir especially bc of his time spent around men. Celegorm I feel like would try and stray away from any sort of metal armour because its too noisy. And in contrast Curufin would create fantastic works of art and wear beautiful armour to show off his skill stature and heritage.
